Product Description
The art of teaching – Training immersion in Indonesia
In a conversational tone, let me tell you that lifelong students make the best teachers. When it comes to teaching yoga, it’s not just about knowing stuff and sharing it. No, it goes beyond that. You have to really commit to your own practice and live what you preach. And guess what? You also need to keep yourself updated with the latest insights on the body, mind, and culture.
Teaching yoga doesn’t just ask you to know things, it also encourages you to approach it with an open mind, just like a beginner. But hey, don’t forget to have confidence in yourself because you can make a difference in other people’s lives and even earn a living by doing it. It’s a delicate mix of knowledge, heart, and creativity that turns teaching yoga into an art.
And you know what? Samyama believes in that art and they want you to be a part of it. They’re here to help you refine your unique teaching style. So come on in, join them, and let’s master this beautiful art of teaching yoga together.

Who is this for?
The Art of Teaching is part of Samyama’s 300-hour advanced YTT course, which includes five modules that can be taken individually or together. The course supports yoga and meditation practitioners with teaching experience or those who have learned the basics of teaching yoga and want to start a new path. Whether you want to make yoga teaching your career or share it with your colleagues at work, this course is filled with information and experiential workshops to put what you learn into practice. Samyama focuses on mindfulness and personal development, allowing you to reflect on your life purpose, or ‘dharma,’ even if teaching isn’t your priority.
Program
If you’re in Bali, there will be a welcome circle on the evening before Day 1. This optional gathering lets you meet other participants, ask questions, and receive an orientation from the instructors. If you’re arriving in Bali just before the course starts, they’ll provide necessary orientation materials beforehand. Be ready to practice on the morning of Day 1. They’ll guide you through and help you settle in as needed.

Retreat location
Ubud, Bali has become one of the top destinations for yoga and spirituality. The local Balinese Hindus live their practice through a strong belief in karma and acts of devotion – they offer to the gods daily. The name Ubud means ‘medicine’ and it has always been a holy center for healing and purifying. You can’t help but feel the strong, yet nourishing energy – it’s like a warm embrace from Mama Bali. The location is unique, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by jungle and rice fields in a tropical paradise. You’ll only be a 5-minute drive from town, but it will feel like you’re far away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a peaceful oasis in the lush green rice fields. You’ll hear the sounds of nature all around and every corner is beautiful and sacred. The energy is pure and light. It’s the perfect place to meditate or enjoy a delicious meal at a vegan restaurant.
