In our yoga teacher training, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of yoga asanas. You’ll also learn about safety measures, adjustments, contraindications, and alignments.
Pranayama
Pranayamas are breathing exercises that calm the mind, increase prana (energy), and help control it. Different breathing techniques stimulate different parts of the brain and have a healing effect on the body. After completing the yoga teacher training, you’ll be able to teach pranayama confidently.
Meditation
Concentration and discipline are essential for mastering any skill. In this course, you’ll learn patience and concentration through meditation and chanting. You’ll be rewarded with a relaxed and peaceful mind. The guided asana practice will motivate you to share the practice of meditation with others.
History and philosophy of yoga
You’ll deepen your understanding of the spirit of yoga, enhancing not only your practice but also your personal growth. In our course, you’ll learn about kriyas (cleansing exercises), bandhas (energy locks), and mudras (hand gestures) – the three pillars of the yogic experience. You’ll gain a detailed understanding of how to practice these techniques correctly.
Anatomy and physiology
As a knowledgeable and skilled yoga trainer, it’s important to have a good understanding of human anatomy and physiology. This course will give you an edge over other trainers by equipping you with this knowledge. Incorrect technique and postures can lead to injuries, so it’s crucial to learn about the body’s structure and functions.
Ayurveda and yogic diet
In this course, you’ll gain an understanding of the basics of Ayurveda and the fundamentals of a vegetarian yogic diet. Yoga is not just about practicing postures, but also about incorporating it into your lifestyle. You’ll learn about the yogic diet and enjoy delicious, nutritious meals throughout the training.
Yoga Nidra and yoga Shatkarmas
Yoga Nidra brings calmness, quietness, and clarity. It is one of the deepest meditation practices, leading to a state of stillness and insight. You’ll learn yoga Nidra and its benefits. Shatkarmas are practices that help rid the body of toxins and purify it. Our experienced teachers will guide you in these procedures.
Sanskrit names of yoga postures
As you learn different yoga postures and techniques, you’ll also learn their corresponding Sanskrit names. Little by little, you’ll be able to memorize and learn these names without feeling overwhelmed.
Alignment and modification of poses
To become a successful yoga trainer, it’s important to perfect your postures, techniques, and knowledge. We’ll help you polish everything you’ve learned in this ancient art form.
Teaching practice
During the course, you’ll learn how to teach yoga postures, plan class sequences, and teach classes from start to finish. Teaching skills covered include demonstration, observation, correction, and feedback. By the end of the course, you’ll have taught at least two full classes on your own, building confidence and gaining teaching experience.
