Food
Food is essential for giving life-giving energy to our bodies. The quality and types of food we eat affect our physical and mental well-being. From a yogic point of view, food is more than just nutrition for our bodies. Proper nutrition is necessary for a complete yogic practice, and the energetic aspect of food should also be considered when choosing a diet. Have you ever noticed how the food you eat impacts your yoga practice? Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, teaches us about the influence of different foods on our overall well-being – physically, spiritually, and mentally.
According to Ayurveda, “Sattva” refers to purity in terms of self-control, spirituality, intelligence, virtue, awareness, and happiness. Sattvic foods promote purity in both mind and body. They nourish the mind, making it clear, compassionate, and calm. A sattvic diet also helps sharpen our intellect. The Bhagavad-Gita describes sattvic food as light and easy to digest. Since it is enriched with purity, it encourages positive thoughts and mental satisfaction. Following a sattvic diet can help us stay alert, refreshed, and peaceful.
During our yoga course, we follow the teachings of Ayurveda and provide students with delicious vegan meals three times a day. Our experienced and loving kitchen team prepares the food hygienically and with care. The meals are unlimited and served buffet style, offering a variety of vegetarian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Here is what our meal plan includes:
– Breakfast
– Lunch
– Dinner
– Drinks
We believe that nourishing our bodies with tasty and wholesome food is an important part of the yogic journey.
