This yoga retreat was not what I expected. I stayed in a room at a yoga school where I could potentially join some classes from the 300h TTC group. This arrangement made me, the group of students, and the teachers uncomfortable. The 4 people who signed up for the retreat didn't receive a check-in, any introductions, a set schedule, or designated teachers for our group. Instead, we were expected to participate in classes where others were training to become teachers. As a teacher myself, I was hoping to attend intermediate or advanced classes, or at least sessions tailored for our group within a structured program, as advertised. While the traditional yoga school had a great atmosphere, nice facilities, and a good location, it was a disappointment that the "retreat" was not properly promoted. The school is managed by lovely people and has excellent instructors, but the lack of clear communication about the retreat left much to be desired.

The 4 of us signed up for the retreat, but there was no check-in, introduction, schedule, or dedicated teachers for us. Instead, we were expected to join classes where people were training to become teachers. I'm already a teacher and was looking forward to intermediate or advanced classes, or at least classes tailored to our group. The school itself was great - nice place, facilities, and location. The school managers and teachers were good. Just a shame the retreat wasn't advertised properly.
I didn't like the welcome from Ariel and Reimi. I found them unprofessional and rigid, with a really heavy energy. Reimi always seemed to be trying to please Ariel, who had a huge ego. During the chocolate cooking class, Ariel wouldn't even touch our spoons, using a tissue to test the density of the chocolate. But when he needed to salt our cups, he used his fingers without gloves. His arrogant and superior attitude really got to me, and I ended up in tears. I simply asked about a discrepancy in the payment, but he became defensive and negative, judging me and making me cry. Throughout the stay, Ariel and Reimi were rude and domineering, making me feel uncomfortable with their dense and negative energy. Ariel seemed more comfortable with male guests and never greeted us upon arrival. Even though the food was often lacking and we were hungry, I enjoyed the location, the natural surroundings, the restaurant service, and the kind Balinese waiters and chefs. The herbal tasting was enjoyable, as were the professional and positive instructors Alex and Peby. The cleaning staff were always friendly and cheerful, adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the place.
I didn't like the welcome from Ariel and Reimi. I found them unprofessional and rigid. Their energy was really heavy. Reimi seemed to always try to please Ariel, who had an ego out of this world. During the chocolate cooking class, Ariel wouldn't even touch our spoons, he used a paper towel to test the chocolate density. But when he had to salt our cups, he used his fingers without gloves. His arrogant and superior attitude stuck with me and made me cry as soon as I arrived. I just asked a simple question about the discrepancy in the payment, but he got defensive and judgmental, making me cry. Throughout my stay, Ariel and Reimi were disrespectful and arrogant towards me. I felt uncomfortable and their negative energy was palpable. Ariel seemed more comfortable with men than women. He never greeted us upon arrival and even ordered meat once, although it wasn't on the menu. Despite the limited food and occasional hunger, I enjoyed the food and the surrounding nature, the restaurant service, and the friendly Balinese waiters and chefs. I liked the herb tasting and the professionalism and positive energy of instructors Alex and Balinese girl Peby. The cleaning staff was also kind and cheerful. I enjoyed the tranquility of nature surrounding the property.
Ants must live somewhere too when out in nature, I guess. The package provided exceptional treatment, kindness, and generosity. The highlight was definitely the fantastic yoga therapist, Tini. The choices of trips and excursions were wonderful, and the spa treatments were top-notch. Absolutely amazing.
