Food
Food is important and provides energy to the human body. The quality and types of food affect your physical and mental well-being. From a yogic perspective, food is more than just nutrition for the body. In order to practice yoga properly, you need to supplement your body with nutrients and consider the energetic aspect of nutrition when choosing your diet. Have you ever noticed how your food intake affects your yoga practice? Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, teaches us about the impact of different foods on our physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. According to Ayurveda, “Sattva” represents purity in terms of self-control and spiritual well-being. Foods that are sattvic promote purity in both mind and body. They help nurture the mind, making it clear, compassionate, and calm. A sattvic diet also sharpens the intellect. The Bhagavad-Gita states that a sattvic diet is light and easy to digest, and it fosters positive thoughts and satisfaction of the mind. Following such a diet can help you stay alert, refreshed, and peaceful. During the course, we provide students with tasty vegan meals three times a day. Our experienced kitchen team prepares the food hygienically and with love. Meals are served buffet style and include a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
