For over 15 years, YogaUnionBali has been offering yoga teacher training courses (YTTC’s) focused on Vinyasa Ashtanga Flow. Ourania, the founder of YogaUnionBali, was inspired by her experiences in Bali, Greece, and India, and decided to establish her new yoga home in Athens. Bringing her knowledge from Bali to Greece, YogaUnionBali aims to provide a unique and transformative training experience.

The course:
YogaUnionBali and One Soul have carefully designed a comprehensive training program based on their vast experience from around the world. This training is suitable for individuals at all levels and focuses on flexibility, technique, and strength. You will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of handstands through a 50-hour handstand teacher training. In addition, you will explore various yoga styles, learn about the philosophy and anatomy of yoga, and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to become an outstanding yoga teacher.
What to expect:
During the course, your mornings will begin with pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting, and invigorating Vinyasa flow classes. Late mornings will focus on asanas, alignment, adjustments, teaching methodology, and theoretical aspects. Early afternoons will include yoga philosophy and anatomy sessions, while late afternoons will feature restorative yoga, workshops, and specialized classes. You will also engage in gymnastic conditions and drills to enhance core strength and body awareness. The course encourages interactive learning and provides teaching opportunities from day one, allowing you to build confidence in leading a full yoga class.
Requirements:
To make the most out of the training, YogaUnion recommends having a foundation in fundamental yoga postures. The course materials and lessons will be in English. Attendance is crucial for the success of the training, so participants are required to attend all classes and lectures.
Course curriculum:
The curriculum includes pranayama classes to ground and set intentions for each day. You will learn different yogic breathing techniques and practice them. Asanas analysis and adjustments will focus on dissecting advanced postures and learning correct alignment. Philosophy sessions will delve into the origins and concepts of yoga, adapting them to modern life. Anatomy classes will provide an understanding of the human body and its role in yoga practice. Teaching methodology will help you develop your teaching skills and find your unique style as a teacher. Gymnastic conditions and drills will enhance core strength and body awareness. The handstand training segment will focus on mastering inversions to improve balance and concentration.
Schedule example:
The daily schedule includes pranayama in the morning, handstand practice, a break, alignment classes, another break, anatomy/philosophy sessions, and workshops/afternoon classes.
Completion:
To complete the course, you will deliver a 30-minute Vinyasa flow class to your fellow students and receive feedback. You will also take a written exam focusing on asana analysis, philosophy, and anatomy. Throughout this transformative journey, you will form deep bonds with your fellow yogis and become part of the YogaUnion family.

The rice fields
If you’re looking to experience the authentic Ubudian lifestyle, YogaUnion highly recommends this location. Our shala, accommodation, and restaurant are nestled in the luscious rice fields, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and feel connected to nature. Please note that the location is not accessible by cars; foot, bicycles, and motorbikes are the only means of transportation welcomed here.
Food
This course offers vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets from Mondays to Saturdays. Sundays are exempt because it’s a “day off”. The breakfast meal consists of a tropical fruit salad, a daily choice of porridge, black rice pudding, or Balinese crepes, served with toast and eggs, as well as coffee, tea, and juice. The lunch and dinner buffet is rich in flavor and includes a variety of local dishes, vegetable stews, curries, legumes, grains, and salads. The food is freshly prepared with mostly organic ingredients. On Sundays, you have the option to choose from numerous restaurants and amazing healthy food places in Ubud or around the rice fields. We can accommodate special dietary requirements, such as vegan or gluten-free diets. If you have any special dietary needs, it’s best to communicate them before making a reservation.
