December 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI really loved this week! It had the perfect balance of practical and theoretical work. Plus, they even had a fun evening program to take us out. And guess what? They made sure my accommodation was within walking distance of the yoga training center. I could simply walk over! I totally recommend it.

November 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI had such an amazing time during the 200H Yoga Teacher Training program! It truly surpassed all my expectations. This program allowed me to dive deeper into the world of yoga, and I gained knowledge not only about physical asanas but also about the spiritual side and various other aspects of yoga.
The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, warm-hearted, and passionate. They provided such great support, and as a group, we were able to create a safe space for personal growth, self-discovery, and sharing.
I have to say, everything was incredibly well-organized. I highly recommend it! ❤️

November 26, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m so glad I chose ULU Yoga! Everything from the course to the food was perfect. One thing I loved was that our group wasn’t big. It allowed us to really connect and make friends with everyone without feeling like we were just part of a large crowd. The teachers were amazing and made us feel so welcome. They had such deep knowledge that you knew you were in good hands. I learned so much about yoga, the lifestyle, and even about myself. My time at ULU Yoga in Uluwatu was absolutely incredible and I’m truly grateful for the wonderful experience!

November 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved everything about it! I should have signed up for 21 days instead of 14 days! Uluyoga really went above and beyond to make sure we were in the best environment for our learning experience. The teachers were so friendly and easy to approach, and the admin staff were caring and reliable. The classes were great because we got to teach a little bit every day, which helped me gain confidence even though I had never taught before. I couldn’t wait for class every day, especially since I became friends with an amazing group of people.

November 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI booked my stay at One Degree Sunset Hill, which is located on the main road, so it can get noisy at night. Just a heads up for light sleepers! But despite that, the place was really nice and clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downside was that there wasn’t a fridge in the room. Still, I would give it a rating of 5 because it wasn’t their fault – overall, the room was of good quality for the price.
I just completed my 200-hour YTT with Uluyoga in Bali and all of the teachers were absolutely amazing! They had the perfect blend of authentic yoga and genuine care for their students. Plus, being in Bali and close to the beaches made it even better. If you’re looking for a well-planned yoga school with a great balance of different teachers’ energy and knowledge, this is the place to go! I really appreciated that they introduced us to various yoga styles so we could discover our preferences. Trust me, it’s worth giving it a try.
The breakfast included was delicious, with a choice between sweet and savory options every day. The yoga shala was peaceful and in a convenient location, surrounded by great restaurants for lunch and dinner. A big shoutout to the entire ULU yoga team! Héloïse, our main teacher, was amazing – her energy was contagious and she had extensive knowledge about chakras. Manjeet, the philosophy teacher, was also fantastic – he combined traditional Indian teachings with a modern twist, all while being funny and down-to-earth. Salome, who taught Ashtanga, gave us a more traditional approach to yoga, while Eddie, Lloyd, and Flo were incredibly skilled and safety-conscious in their teachings of Arial and Acro yoga. And let’s not forget Krystal’s flowy vinyasa classes – they were fantastic! I also want to mention Tania, the coordinator, who was always there to help and take care of us. Each teacher added their own unique flavor to the experience.
I highly recommend ULU yoga to anyone looking to deepen their practice and have an incredible yoga journey.

November 15, 2023 at 12:00 amHonestly, I loved everything about it. The organization, the food, the teachers, the class schedule, everything was just perfect. It was such an amazing experience that truly changed my life. As a beginner in the world of yoga, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I ended up enjoying every single class they offered. The teachers were all unique and knowledgeable in their own way. I felt so welcomed and valued. The group of students I was with became like my new little family. We shared so much love and support for one another. We cried, we laughed, we shared our experiences, and we practiced meditation, pranayamas, and asanas together. We even treated ourselves to massages and enjoyed meals together. It was truly an unforgettable experience that helped me grow so much. I am incredibly grateful for this amazing opportunity to gain so much knowledge and have the tools to navigate through life’s challenges. I am also excited to embrace all the beautiful moments that lie ahead. ???

October 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI personally found one downside of it – I got a little bored in Uluwatu. I believe this program would have been fantastic if it had been in Ubud. But overall, I absolutely loved my training here. I enrolled in the 3-week 200-hour advanced course and what I really loved about it was the hybrid format, which offered some flexibility. This program was excellent as it introduced me to various styles of yoga, making it a comprehensive experience. I must say, most of the instructors were really great!

September 1, 2023 at 12:00 amWell… Bali can be unpredictable, you know. But hey, if you keep an open mind and roll with the schedule changes, everything will be fine. Our team did a great job adapting to unexpected issues, like the noisy construction at the venue. By the way, if you can swing it, I totally recommend going for the premium package with the hotel rooms onsite at the shala. It’s totally worth it.
The content and learning format were amazing. The online videos really helped support what we learned in person. The instructors were fantastic – they were genuine, caring, and seriously knowledgeable. We got to try out so many different yoga styles, and it was a blast. I felt incredibly well taken care of and safe throughout the whole experience. Seriously, if you’re looking for a truly authentic teacher training, I highly recommend Ulu Yoga.

August 25, 2023 at 12:00 amI chose to do my yoga course with Ulu because they also included Acro and Aerial experience. This allowed me to have a more comprehensive training that covered both traditional practice and additional options to practice and potentially teach. The instructors at Ulu were all amazing. It felt like being part of a close-knit family, which is exactly what you need for a deep training experience. Feeling supported and comfortable in the sessions helped me to open up and go further in my practice. I really miss my Ulu family and would love the opportunity to redo the course. ?

August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amUlu created an amazing swing that we had the chance to use. It was so easy to use, and I was really happy to try it out. Now, I just have to figure out how to apply what I learned to the regular swings back home in my country.
I absolutely loved the Aerial Teacher Training at ULU yoga! Everything was organized perfectly, and Eddie went above and beyond to ensure that the whole experience flowed smoothly from beginning to end. Bamboo, where the training took place, was such a lovely space. The staff were so kind, and the food was delicious.
The days were really well-structured, with a great balance of theory, practice, and rest time. Minty, our teacher, was absolutely incredible. She was so knowledgeable and warm, making the learning process enjoyable. Heloise and Lloyd were also fantastic, providing excellent explanations of Anatomy. And Eddie’s morning aerial flow was top-notch.
We had a group of 12 people, with half of us already being yoga teachers and some being new to aerial yoga. The course was able to cater to all levels, and we were all so grateful for the experience. We became close with each other in no time. Plus, Taman Sari, where we stayed, was also really great.

August 23, 2023 at 12:00 amI feel incredibly grateful for finding the yoga teacher training at Ulu Yoga and the amazing community that comes with it. The support from Eddie and the whole team has been incredible, starting from day one and growing stronger when I needed it the most. I went through a tough time with my health, experiencing a bad flare-up, but every single person in the Ulu Yoga family was there for me. Despite the challenges, I managed to complete the training without missing a single class and truly transformed as an instructor. It was an unforgettable experience to go through personal growth alongside health issues, knowing that I was never judged but always embraced. The constant upliftment and celebration from my yoga family made all the difference. It boosted my confidence and empowered me to become a better teacher, thanks to my new abilities, education, and well-rounded practice.
It’s no surprise that Ulu Yoga sets such high standards and produces the best yoga instructors in the world. I will forever be grateful for the love, support, and genuine care I received, and I’ll carry that into my practice when teaching my own students. I really appreciate that Eddie created the aerial yoga swing. I purchased one because the one I had before was too complicated. It’s such a relief to easily do what I love from the comfort of my home. The amazing group of people at Ulu Yoga will always hold a special place in my heart, and my only wish is to see more lives impacted in the same incredible way mine was.

August 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThe only thing that wasn’t perfect about the 3D accommodation was that it wasn’t cleaned as often and we had a couple of instances where we didn’t have any water. But honestly, it didn’t bother me at all. It was all part of the experience and I embraced it, living like a native. I loved it regardless and would definitely stay there again. From the beginning, the girls I communicated with through email were amazing. They provided all the support I needed to feel safe and confident about the course.
The online classes were incredibly inspiring and exciting. I’ve never enjoyed studying so much in my life. I loved all the teachers, but Manjeet was my absolute favorite. His wisdom and energy could be felt through the screen. His classes gave me the perfect experience to understand Yoga philosophy and the amazing benefits of Pranayama and training our minds.
Cody’s Anatomy classes were also really interesting. His dynamic teaching style made it so much easier to comprehend everything. When it came to choosing between Thailand and Indonesia for the in-person part of the course, Bali spoke to my heart and intuition. It was a decision I’m incredibly grateful for. Uluwatu is an incredible town with amazing energy, beautiful beaches, and great restaurants.
Everyone I met at our Shala holds a special place in my heart. From my classmates to the teachers and everyone working at Le Bamboo, we created a supportive community where we not only learned new skills, but also learned how to connect with and love ourselves better.
I loved all the different activities that Ulu provided us. They helped us build confidence as teachers and encouraged us to be creative and intuitive in our classes. I’m truly grateful that I found this course and had such a wonderful experience.

August 18, 2023 at 12:00 amThe original shala had only 1 toilet, which was not ideal. However, the ULU program was amazing. They offered a mix of theory, yoga history, vinyasa, hatha, yin, acro, and aerial yoga. The teachers were very knowledgeable, engaging, and just great people overall. It made the learning experience truly brilliant.
What made the program even better was the mix of students from all over the world, with different yoga backgrounds and ages. It made the 3 weeks so much fun and I ended up making some great friendships.
The new ULU shala is really nice and has incredible views. It’s definitely a well-appointed space.
One thing I particularly liked about the program was that I could choose my own accommodation and take care of my own lunches and dinners. This flexibility was a big plus for me. I stayed at the Hidden Hills Villas, which were absolutely stunning. They were also conveniently located, just a short walk from both ULU Shalas.

August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amI had a truly amazing experience during this training that left me feeling inspired, full of knowledge, and with some incredible friends for life.
One thing that really stood out to me was the daily asana labs. These labs were dedicated to teaching us different asanas and helping us improve our cues. Every day, we had the opportunity to practice teaching various poses, which really allowed us to embody what we had learned. I loved how they made sure we had plenty of practical application, which was something I was specifically looking for in a training. I also appreciated the flexibility of being able to do some hours of study online at my own pace before coming in person.
The teachers were truly the heart and soul of this training. They had so much knowledge and a genuine passion for yoga that created a wonderful learning environment. With their guidance, I was able to dive deeper into Vinyasa and Hatha yoga, expanding my understanding of these styles.
The shala where the training took place was newly built and had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver for me. And the ocean views were absolutely breathtaking, especially during the colorful sunsets.
This training was about so much more than just teaching yoga poses. It taught me about self-discovery, connection, and how we all have the potential to inspire positive change. I now feel ready, confident, and well-equipped to go out into the world and start teaching!

August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amI just want to mention a few things here:
First, the accommodation. The hotels are pretty basic, nothing fancy. So, just keep that in mind and don’t expect anything too extravagant.
Second, there was a bit of miscommunication and coordination issue due to two classes happening at the same time. But honestly, it’s understandable. This is my first yoga teacher training and my first time in Bali, so overall, the three weeks have been absolutely amazing!
It’s been more than just learning yoga and training to become a teacher. I’m really grateful for everything I’ve learned here. I’ve discovered the importance of self-love, bravery, and humility, among many other things. I highly recommend this experience for a few reasons:
First, Ulu Yoga offers a wide variety of interesting non-traditional yoga courses like aerial, acro, beach, and SUP yoga. As an aerial yoga lover, I have to say that using Ulu’s unique hammock was so much fun!
Second, the people I’ve met here have been incredible. The teachers are all caring and knowledgeable, despite their different backgrounds. And my classmates come from all over the world, so every day is an opportunity to learn about new things, experience different cultures, and share our unique life stories.
Third, the location is great. I attended the training in Uluwatu, which is less touristy but still close to the beach. There are also plenty of good restaurants and cafes around.
Lastly, the materials provided have been really helpful. They give you a textbook on-site and there’s also an online learning platform. The best part? You have access to it for about a year, so you can revisit it whenever you want.

August 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t like that we weren’t aware of losing a whole day of on-site training (due to the day of silence) until we had arrived. And I can’t forget to mention how much I loved learning acro!

August 5, 2023 at 12:00 amRegarding the teacher training itself, I didn’t have any negative experiences!
When it comes to getting around Uluwatu on foot, it’s not very pedestrian-friendly, especially since there aren’t always walkways. However, you can still walk to the beach. But most people opt for taxis or scooters instead of walking through the streets.
There was a lot of construction happening in Uluwatu, but at the Shala where we had our training, we couldn’t hear it at all. It was a perfect environment for relaxing and practicing yoga. The teachers were incredibly kind, experienced, and provided excellent instructions to us students. They were always available to lend a helping hand and had a wealth of knowledge to share.
I really enjoyed trying out aerial, SUP, and Acroyoga as they offered a fun and different approach to yoga.
The breakfast provided was delicious, and the long lunch break allowed us to recharge for our teaching exams and take a dip in the pool before afternoon classes.
The ULUyoga team was very helpful with everything. I arrived a day before the training started and stayed longer, and they took care of all the arrangements with the hotel and provided us with reliable numbers for local taxi drivers to pick us up from the airport.
The online portion of the course was well-structured, and the video quality was great. Plus, we still have access to the videos even after the course.
If I had more vacation days, I would have loved to stay longer and do the 300 hours right away. Hopefully, in the future, I’ll be able to come back to Bali and take another course with ULUyoga.

August 4, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved the location of the training and how the teachers made us all feel comfortable. I’ve been practicing yoga for a few years but this experience took my practice to a whole new level and exceeded all my expectations. Throughout the journey, I encountered some medical emergencies totally unrelated to yoga or ulu yoga, but the support I received from them was incredible. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete the course in person, but we quickly found a solution and now I’m really enjoying the online course. They always communicated with me clearly and in a friendly manner. The teachers taught with so much passion, making it interesting and interactive at all times. The space was always clean, and breakfast was simply delicious. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever. August 2, 2023 at 12:00 amMaybe sometimes the mat isn’t that clean, so I think it’s better to bring my own. And I feel like the examination is too long, maybe they should make it 60 minutes for beginners. But what I really love about this place is the teaching vibe and the environment. I get to do yoga in a beautiful bamboo shala and learn from teachers with different backgrounds. It’s amazing how much I learn here both physically and philosophically every day. But what I enjoy the most is the interaction in class, like the sharing circle and all the fun activities. And let me tell you, the sup yoga and acro yoga sessions are absolutely mind-blowing! August 1, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved everything about it! Honestly, the Ulu 21-day 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Uluwatu was absolutely incredible! I went into it looking to do some yoga and learn more about yogi philosophy, but I came out with so much more. It truly transformed my life, and I got to meet some amazing people that I will cherish forever.
There were so many highlights to mention. First, the online content was amazing. Being able to access classes before, during, and after the 21-day part was so helpful. It gave me a solid foundation to build on and I know I’ll be able to recap some bits after as well.
I’m so grateful to all the teachers. They taught yoga both on and off the mat, and their support and energy were incredible. They made the experience even more special.
The timetable was well-balanced. We had a good mix of physical asana practice, classroom learning, and downtime to relax, self-study, and process everything. It was perfect.
I loved that we got to experience different types of yoga. We focused on vinyasa and Hatha with Ariel, and also got to try acro and yin. I fell in love with all of them!
The venue, Le bamboo, was absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful bohemian resort set on a hillside with ocean views, an infinity pool, amazing staff, and delicious food. The shala had everything we needed and the nature views were so calming. We even had the opportunity to try out the new Ulu shala, which was spacious and peaceful. It was perfect for Ariel and acro.
The organization of the program was seamless thanks to Eddie and his team. The communication before, during, and after the training was amazing and they were so helpful and accommodating.
I am incredibly grateful for this experience and I can’t recommend Ulu YTT enough!

It was quite an emotional journey, and I felt safe with the teachers, group, and the whole environment. Practicing yoga in the Le Bamboo Shala with a stunning view of the ocean and surrounded by lush, giant plants was pure bliss. I discovered so many new things about yoga and myself! July 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI had an amazing time during my on-site training in Uluwatu, Bali with ULU Yoga, and I want to thank them again for everything. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I am so grateful for the laughs, tears, and insights we shared during the two-week training. I learned so much, not just about designing and teaching classes, but also about myself and my own practice.
The highlights for me were the excursion to the spa one evening and getting to try out different yoga styles like acro, aerial, yin, and SUP yoga. It was so much fun and broadened my horizons. Now, I feel confident in teaching vinyasa and hatha yoga classes and I’m eager to continue my spiritual journey.
Oh, and I have to mention how much I loved the breakfast options. There were so many delicious choices, and I discovered a newfound love for smoothie bowls!
I also want to note that the shala where the training took place is brand new and has a beautiful view of the sea. Despite the ongoing construction work in July 2023, the shala did a great job of canceling out the noise.
Once again, thank you ULU Yoga for an incredible time!

July 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI personally found the 200h course to be absolutely amazing and it’s really difficult to express it in words. Firstly, I formed incredible connections with the other students. We really got to know each other on a deep level and I felt like I was in a safe space surrounded by a great support system, which is something I value a lot!
The teachers were truly inspirational and passionate about what they do. Héloïse is such a beautiful soul and she really boosted my confidence during the asana labs and exams. Manjeet’s philosophy classes left me feeling like I had just come out of a TedTalk, they were that good! Minty helped me reconnect with my inner child and introduced me to new activities like contact dance, which I highly recommend. Natty’s morning flows significantly improved my mood in the mornings. Lastly, Jacqueline not only helped us perfect our poses every day, but she also had an amazing ability to sense our energies and moods, offering support for whatever we were going through. Eddie provided invaluable insights into the business side of yoga and his expertise was greatly appreciated.

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amSorry, but I wouldn’t book this teacher training again. It wasn’t like the other yoga trainings I’ve done. It felt like the owners were just trying to make a lot of money since Koh Phangan is a busy tourist spot. We barely did any meditation and didn’t learn anything about yoga philosophy or spirituality. We also didn’t have any anatomy lessons. All we had was one session of Acro and one session of SUB Yoga. They included breakfast, but it wasn’t enough to feel nourished.
The group was a mix of people at different levels. Some had just arrived with no prior knowledge, while others had already done their 200-hour or 300-hour trainings. So when we started another anatomy or philosophy lesson, people got frustrated.
The teachers were nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely attend a class with them again.

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI was happy all the time, really. Maybe some of the changes in organization were a bit last minute, but I honestly don’t mind at all. That’s just life, you know?
The last shala we were in, Le Bamboo, was kinda small and hot, but compared to the amazing shalas we had before, it was nothing. This teacher training was absolutely incredible. We had five different teachers, and each one of them was so inspiring, wise, and supportive in their own unique way. It’s truly a blessing to have learned from them, both as yoga teachers and as human beings. They gave us so many tools and words of wisdom on our journey.
We got to experience a different shala every week, which was really cool. It allowed us to explore different places and see what they had to offer. The teachers and organizers were super helpful and always found a solution to any problems that came up. It created such a safe and nurturing environment for us to grow and discover ourselves.
I came here wanting to escape the winter and learn more about yoga, but I got so much more than that. I found a deep understanding, space to be myself, support from wonderful souls, incredible teachers, and lifelong friends. I’m so grateful for everyone’s presence and love. Thank you all!

February 26, 2023 at 12:00 amI can’t believe it, but this course has been like a dream! It’s not just any regular course, it has been so much more for me. I’ve met incredible people and learned an incredible amount in such a short period of time. I really wish we had more time, honestly.
Minty, Eddy, and Nat have been amazing teachers. They’ve helped us with whatever we needed and always made us feel supported.

February 22, 2023 at 12:00 amIt would be nice to have another day off and enjoy some free time activities with the Organizer. The resort staff was too slow in serving the appointed breakfast, and even after addressing the issue, it didn’t improve in the long term. It would have been great to have some added bonuses like discounts at the restaurant, laundry services, or access to scooters (although they were officially available, it wasn’t practical). The program offered a variety of yoga styles, focused on anatomy aspects, had great teachers, a beautiful location, and engaging teaching exercises. Additionally, there were opportunities to try out SUP (stand-up paddleboarding) and meet other participants.

January 31, 2023 at 12:00 amThis course definitely focused on having fun and not just on becoming a certified yoga teacher. Some people may see this as a positive thing, while others may not. Personally, I would have appreciated if the analytics classes were more structured, especially since some of us were inexperienced and struggled with proper alignment.
However, I really loved the teachers and how caring they were. The venue itself was decent, but the noise from the traffic at night bothered me quite a bit.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this course. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life! Heloise was an amazing teacher, our Shala was stunning, and the whole team genuinely cared about our group. We had exciting Areal and Acro classes, practiced on the beach, and even tried out the SUB board.

December 18, 2022 at 12:00 amThe resort amazed me with its beauty, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The only thing I thought could be improved were the breakfasts they served us. They weren’t filling enough, so I usually ended up ordering a second dish. The food they provided just didn’t compare to the food we bought. The food we bought had more flavor, bigger portions, and seemed to be made with more care. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Cody and Shashi are truly wonderful people. They created such a safe space for self-exploration and vulnerability, which exceeded my expectations. I felt heard, seen, and loved throughout my entire 3-week stay in Koh PhaNgan. Their knowledge was both humbling and thought-provoking, and it has had a profound impact on how I want to navigate through life. This journey was not just a spiritual and energetic one, but also a deeply personal one shared with those around me.
Participating in this course has boosted my confidence as a teacher to new heights. It was a safe space where I could release any emotions that needed to be let go. I am incredibly grateful that I took this time to invest in myself.

September 19, 2022 at 12:00 amThe booking process for Ulu Yoga was a breeze. Saghar, who was on the other line, helped me with all my questions about ferries, transportation to the resort, and online inquiries that I didn’t quite understand. She replied quickly and was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Before heading to Thailand, I did some online studies and found the videos to be really clear and easy to understand. I loved the philosophy and was able to grasp it just by watching the videos.
When I arrived in Thailand, the resort employees made me feel incredibly welcome with their friendly vibes. The room was okay, although I should have chosen one with air conditioning because the weather was scorching hot and humid. But I made do.
The instructors, Cody and Lena, were fantastic. They were so nice, laid-back, and genuinely great people. They made everyone feel welcome and their teaching style was perfect for both beginners and advanced yoga students. Cody’s explanations of the philosophy were spot-on. I could relate them to my own life and really understood it well. Lena, on the other hand, portrayed herself as a calm teacher. Her soothing voice made me aspire to be a great teacher like her.
Overall, Ulu Yoga has transformed me as a person and made me a better version of myself. It took me a while to write this review because even now, as I think back on my experience, I long to go back there again. I miss the amazing vibe and people so much.
For my next yoga course, I will definitely choose Ulu Yoga without a second thought.
Thank you, Uluyoga. Lots of love ❤️

September 8, 2022 at 12:00 amSaghar has been a huge help to me from the beginning. She reassured me, explained what the stay would be like, and even helped me arrange my trip. I felt incredibly comfortable at the venue, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing teachers – Cody, Lena, and Elif – as well as Saghar, of course. They are all so compassionate, sweet, and highly qualified. My experience here has been fantastic, and I would definitely choose to do another 300 hours here.

August 17, 2022 at 12:00 amI really like how they structure the course. The instructors are great at managing our time and making sure we can participate in all the activities mentioned. I really appreciate how they let us connect with other students throughout the course, like practicing teaching with them and becoming familiar with the sequence before the actual teaching practice. What I also like is that the instructors regularly give us constructive feedback while we’re practicing, letting us know what we’re doing well, areas we can improve on, and even providing suggestions on how to approach it better. It was such a well-rounded experience for me. I enjoyed it a lot and I’m very grateful.

August 15, 2022 at 12:00 amIn Canada, the time difference made it harder for me to attend yoga practice through zoom. But luckily, they gave me access to the recorded classes so I could still join from home whenever I wanted. Ulu Yoga has a great program that covers philosophy, anatomy, pranayamas, meditations, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga, and Asana analytics. Each teacher has so much knowledge and they’re all very supportive. It’s guaranteed to help you improve your yoga practice and give you a solid foundation to become a yoga teacher. I love being able to do the course at my own pace from home. My favorite parts have been practicing yoga with Janaina and listening to her beautiful voice while she sings mantras. I’ve also enjoyed learning more challenging asanas and anatomy from Cody. Kehkashan’s classes really dive deep into the analytics of asanas and using props. And Manjeet and Dr. Kalpana have taught me so many positive ways to connect with myself and find inner peace through yoga, pranayama, and meditation. I feel really grateful that I found Ulu Yoga during my search for a 200hr yoga teacher training.

May 9, 2022 at 12:00 amThe audio quality of “bones 1” or “muscles” wasn’t great. The sound was really low, so it was hard to understand what Cody was saying. I really appreciated our course trainer Cody Pizer’s knowledge. I was still learning a lot, even though I already had background knowledge from studying Biology and my previous YTT. Cody presented the topics in a clear and understandable way, so it was easy to follow. I also liked the clear structure of the course and the separation into basic anatomy and functional anatomy. Overall, I enjoyed the selection of topics. As Yoga Teachers, we can incorporate the theory into our classes, especially when it comes to supporting students with injuries.

May 4, 2022 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed the training with ULU Yoga, despite not being able to do it in person due to covid. At first, I was hesitant about doing such a big training online, but I decided to give it a try because of the circumstances. And boy, am I glad I did! ULU Yoga provided a warm and welcoming community right from the start, with weekly live lessons and teaching practices that were the absolute highlight. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on those!
The teachers were all professionals and brought their own unique personalities to their teachings, which was amazing. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best. The structure of the training was well-organized and progressed in a logical way. I never felt overwhelmed during the course. Plus, being able to progress at my own pace was a definite bonus of doing the training online.
Not only did the training encourage self-reflection and constructive criticism, but it also helped me grow and see things from a different perspective. The support team at ULU was always available, which was a great reassurance.
Overall, I can confidently say that this is the best training out there. I highly, highly recommend joining the live lessons and teaching practice; they are truly the gems of the course. And most importantly, remember to enjoy the process!

August 11, 2020 at 12:00 amI’ve always dreamed of learning yoga with this school. Two of my friends took the course and absolutely loved it, and thanks to online learning, I finally got the chance too! I had daily live classes with all the instructors, which was great because I could record them and watch them again later. It was much better than sitting in a classroom and relying on my terrible note-taking skills. Plus, I got to form connections and make friends with other students through private study groups. That was something I was really worried about missing out on. The traditional yoga instruction was amazing! Salomé, the instructor, is incredible and her teachings are so detailed and organized. I also loved diving into the philosophy of yoga. The format of the course was so well-structured with assigned readings, questions, and follow-up discussions. It made studying yoga philosophy a breeze. And let me tell you, seeing Bali in the videos was such a treat! It gives me so much motivation to travel there and take the course in person next year. Another great thing about the course was the teaching examinations. I had the chance to practice teaching fellow students on Zoom, and I even got to teach my mom while we were stuck at home. I recorded myself teaching, and the instructors provided me with valuable feedback. It’s a bit challenging at first to watch yourself, but it’s the best way to learn and improve. Now I feel confident to teach and help others, and I’m incredibly grateful and happy with everything.

June 8, 2019 at 12:00 amI am extremely grateful to my teachers for the immense love and gratitude I have for them. The yoga class proved to be a perfect fit for me, as I was paired with two advanced students, which helped me learn much faster than I anticipated. The thorough planning, attention to detail, and revisions were evident in every aspect of the organization. Being a building project manager, I can appreciate how carefully every aspect of this school is considered, right from welcoming guests to evaluating tests and, of course, teaching different poses either individually or in groups. The balance between class time and breaks, along with the guided activities like beach and spa excursions, was absolutely delightful. Outside of class, I was pleasantly surprised by the caring nature of the staff, who spent time with the students during meals and organized outings. This was a brilliant idea by the management, as it ensured a 24/7 group coordinator outside of teaching, which helped keep the group connected and motivated. I truly hope to return later this year for the 300-hour course. Thank you so much for everything!

January 15, 2019 at 12:00 amThis was, without a doubt, the best time of my life. We would start our day with yoga practice, philosophy or anatomy sessions, and meditation, which lasted from the moment we woke up to the moment we fell asleep. I felt incredibly grateful for all the valuable tips and words of encouragement, like the one about maintaining silence until breakfast to honor the sacred morning time. I also want to give a big shoutout to all the instructors for actively listening to us, and for conducting personal interviews upon our arrival to learn about our health and backgrounds. It had been ages since anyone genuinely cared about my true feelings and thoughts, and I initially found it strange and challenging to express them. However, we also had group meetings with fellow students, where we could share our feedback and experiences. Those were incredibly moving moments that I truly miss now. Through this experience, my body has healed from years of weakness, and my practice has been refined with proper alignment, correcting many mistakes I never even realized I was making. I cannot express enough gratitude for the opportunity to practice teaching yoga, which has given me the confidence to continue honing my skills.

The instructors have shared so much wisdom with me that they feel like my family now. I know that my future lies in teaching yoga and spreading this beautiful joy to others. My practice has improved tremendously in such a short period of time.
Now, let me tell you about the location, it’s absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have asked for more. There were two beaches within walking distance every day. And let me tell you, the little beach at the resort was perfect for some private suntanning 😉 Haad Yao Beach is huge and there are so many cool cafes and massage places, and they’re all so affordable! And then there’s Secret beach, which is incredibly peaceful and tranquil. It only has two restaurants, but both of them are excellent and give it a cozy atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I have no complaints whatsoever. Each day brought something different, delicious, and healthy. And when the school took us to the village, they introduced us to some amazing vegan cuisine. Oh my God, it was so good!
I really hope to come back someday and continue my journey. Thank you all so much for everything.

We really became a close-knit community and supported each other. I never felt lonely because I always had friends to hang out with during free time. I’m so grateful to Edward and Shashi for going into town to get special foods for me. And the best part was the high quality of instruction in the regular yoga classes. For breakfast, I indulged in a delicious rice pudding made with coconut milk, which was absolutely ideal for someone like me who follows a gluten-free diet. The restaurant, situated next to the pool and surrounded by the lush jungle, added to the overall charm of the place.
One of the highlights for me was practicing yoga on the beach for both sunrise and sunset. The yoga classes took place in the serene yoga Shala, where the teachers’ passion and knowledge of yoga philosophy and alignment were truly inspiring.

December 23, 2018 at 12:00 amI booked the deluxe room on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea, and I was really happy with it. Hearing the sound of the sea all night long was so relaxing. My balcony had a comfortable hammock swing, which was where I spent most of my free time. Every morning, I would order delicious gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino, and I was impressed by the quality, especially considering it was in Thailand. The rest of the breakfast was pretty good too, with muesli, toast, eggs, salad, seeds, and fruits. But I gladly paid extra for the gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino. Breakfast was even cooler because we all ate together. It felt like high school since we were also energized after yoga. The instructors, Shashi, Edward, Victoria, Alon, and Minty, were all wonderful teachers who gave clear and detailed instructions on a wide variety of subjects. I know that when I go back home, I won’t be the same person and I’ll have to cut off many negative relationships. I am incredibly grateful to my spiritual guide, Shashi, for helping me find my own path. I also want to thank Victoria for her contagious laughter and positivity. And a big shoutout to Alon for his extensive knowledge of traditional yoga and self-respect. Last but not least, Edward, thank you for teaching me to fly! The variety of classes offered was impressive, and the instructors were always open to our feedback and suggestions. At first, I was a bit shy to share my opinions, but they genuinely welcomed anything we had to say. The yoga spaces were fantastic, with one overlooking the ocean and another one by the pool, which was great because there were mirrors. They even let me borrow a mat and some blocks so I could practice on my balcony. It was great because all the other students had also done the same preparation, allowing us to immediately bond over shared experiences and discuss our personal development. I had concerns that the training might lack seriousness due to the variety of styles, but I was pleasantly surprised by the well-balanced schedule, which provided both enjoyable and focused study sessions. For those less interested in teaching and wanting to skip some sessions, they had the option to participate in SUP or beach yoga. Even these alternative classes were thoughtfully designed with a structured approach. December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThis course provided me with the perfect escape in a pristine natural environment, as well as a valuable learning experience. The instructors were incredibly kind and always encouraged me to take breaks when needed. In the afternoon, the resort treated us to free coconuts and a unique electrolyte mix that was surprisingly invigorating. The breakfast was decent, but the lunch was absolutely excellent. I simply ordered various traditional Thai dishes from the regular menu, such as pad Thai and green curry. I attempted to eat at cheaper restaurants nearby, but their quality paled in comparison to the resort’s. That’s why two other students and I decided to sign up for a cooking class there, which turned out to be a lot of fun. Each day, there were plenty of classes to choose from, including SUP, regular yoga, and more serious subjects like philosophy and anatomy. We also had group sharing circles throughout the week to express our feelings. The instructors were very open to and flexible with any suggestions we had. I was concerned that the Ariel acro and other styles of yoga would be too advanced for me since I had only tried regular half and Vinyasa yoga before. However, I can confidently say that the regular yoga classes were the best I had ever experienced. Although I had little to compare to, the other styles were also excellent. Moreover, there was a lot of quality group work that encouraged us to develop self-sufficiency and care for each other’s growth and development. July 25, 2018 at 12:00 amEverything was wonderful, but it was difficult to get there if you didn’t plan well. I was afraid to join because I’m not a thin girl with yoga experience. However, every class had easy options for me and advanced options for others. What I appreciated the most was their attention to detail and safety. They always showed us the possible dangers, mistakes, and benefits of normal yoga poses, aerial, and sup, not just how to do them. This made me believe that we were developing better than in typical other courses. They do a million courses a year, so they definitely know what they are doing. Some other students had already done 200 trainings and they said that this course was much much better. They regretted wasting their money on cheap training in India. Even though I don’t think I will teach yoga, I feel confident enough to instruct my friends and family well. The island, resort, and shala are all beautiful. The resort staff were annoying, so I decided to change to the one next door. The rooms there were much nicer and the same price. The philosophy lectures really amazed me. They made me deeply reconsider what I’m doing with my life and career. My job is fun, and people have a good time, but I guess it’s pretty shallow when considering the bigger picture. I was impressed by how well they incorporated the philosophy of mindfulness even while we were playing on the beach. I have a new outlook and appreciation for all the blessings of life. The instructors provided detailed alignment instructions, which made a big difference. Shashi’s philosophy was intense and deep, yet easy to understand. The shala was beautiful, surrounded by birds and trees, but the dining area could use some improvement. Some people found the resort staff a bit rude, but that’s just their straightforward Thai style. They aren’t trying to please everyone, they’re real and express their true feelings. What I loved the most was swimming at sunset with my new friends.

July 17, 2018 at 12:00 amI’m so excited to come back next year! The instructors really know their stuff and were super helpful. The SUP Yoga was absolutely amazing. It was challenging, but never too difficult for anyone. The location is seriously breathtaking. The food was delicious, although the restaurant could use a little sprucing up. All in all, I had a blast and totally recommend it to everyone.

July 16, 2018 at 12:00 amThis experience has awakened and transformed me! I decided to join because it seemed fun, especially the Acro Yoga and SUP Yoga. But I was completely amazed by the depth of philosophy. It really opened my mind and helped me see my true self. The restorative aerial yoga even cured my back pain that I’ve had since I was 14 years old. Koh Phangan island is absolutely stunning. The waters are like something out of a dream in the most beautiful shade of turquoise. And the yoga shala has the most incredible view of the blue sea! I can’t thank my beloved teachers enough. I wholeheartedly recommend this course.
