February 13, 2024 at 11:37 amI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this yoga center. I attended three Bikram yoga sessions with Jessica, and it was my first time trying it. Her energy was contagious from the beginning. Thank you for such amazing classes! It’s a shame I’m only here on vacation, but I’ll definitely be back next year.

February 13, 2024 at 11:37 amI originally came to attend the Yin yoga class, but stayed for the delicious food. The class was incredibly relaxing and the instructor was exceptional. The front desk was kind enough to store my oversized backpacking backpack during the session. I enjoyed the meal immensely and am eager to return to partake in the other classes offered.

November 14, 2023 at 11:37 amYou simply can’t overlook the Ubud Yoga Centre! The yoga amenities are enchanting, offering a sense of tranquility and renewal. The team, particularly Komang (whose service is exceptional!), is incredibly warm and attentive. The cafe is also fantastic, each meal I had there was a delight! It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place to indulge in yoga practice.

July 12, 2023 at 11:38 amWe had a wonderful experience at Ubud Yoga Center! We participated in multiple classes offered daily, enjoyed luxurious rooftop massages, and savored delicious salads, smoothies, and açaí bowls at the cafe downstairs. Mony, the owner, was incredibly helpful and Komang ensured we were well taken care of with classes and towels. The instructors were top-notch, particularly Nancy whose class we attended multiple times and found to be excellent.

June 8, 2023 at 11:37 amI absolutely adore this place. My go-to yoga center is in Canggu, but after a weekend in Ubud absorbing the peaceful vibes, I decided to stop by for a class before heading back. Both Ubud and Canggu yoga centers are under the same ownership, so with a monthly membership, you can attend classes at either location without any additional fees.
The building is located next to a river, with the beautiful water flowing about 50 meters below. The upper area, where the main yoga studios are located, allows for a lovely breeze to flow through. Downstairs, there are shops and a cafe, but the energy truly lies in the yoga area.
Classes at this center run from 6 am to late evening, offering a wider range of times compared to Canggu, which tends to have classes in the morning to early afternoon. I believe that as word spreads about Canggu, more afternoon classes may be added. However, Canggu’s focus on sunset and dinner may keep yoga in the morning.
In short, this place offers a genuine yoga experience. With classes like Hot Pilates, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin, it provides a serious practice in a laid-back atmosphere, without the overly extravagant feel of Yoga Barn. While I do enjoy Yoga Barn, I often feel like a tourist there due to its grandeur. Here, it’s the perfect balance of yoga, vibes, people, and a cool owner.

June 3, 2023 at 11:38 amAs beginners in the world of yoga, we made the bold choice to join an intermediate/advanced hot yoga class. Despite nearly passing out multiple times, we pushed through and succeeded! The instructor was amazing, cheering us on despite our limited skills. Now, we’re treating ourselves to some coffee, a coconut, and a hearty breakfast at a lovely cafe to celebrate our newfound mindfulness.

April 7, 2023 at 11:37 amThe cafe within the yoga center may not have the best tasting food, but the ambience is incredible. They offer a variety of vegetarian options on the menu, which I absolutely adore.

February 15, 2023 at 11:37 am*** Urgent Health Advisory ***
After attending numerous Hot Yoga classes at Ubud Yoga Centre during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, I became increasingly concerned about the lack of cleanliness in regards to the yoga mats, towels, and overall facility. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of several yoga teachers, I was met with indifference as they dismissed the problem as not being their responsibility.
On September 29th, I visited a dermatologist due to a suspicious area on my leg. During the examination, the doctor discovered multiple growths on my back, legs, and feet. I underwent a two and a half hour procedure to have 75+ warts/viruses burned off. This was a shocking revelation as I had always taken precautions by washing my feet before each class, only to realize that the infection had spread through the unsanitary environment at UYC.
I have made the difficult decision to discontinue attending hot yoga classes at Ubud Yoga Centre due to the unhygienic conditions that have led to a severe health condition I never thought possible. Following the advice of another doctor, I have undergone 10 blood cleansing treatments at a specialized clinic in Denpasar, which has proven to be a significant financial burden.
Moving forward, I will continue to prioritize my health and wellness by following up with my dermatologist in the coming months. My experience at Ubud Yoga Centre has left me deeply disappointed and I urge others to consider the potential health risks associated with practicing in such an environment.
