Hey there! Let’s talk about the Ubud Monkey Forest and water temple tour. It’s a super fun day where you get to be involved in planning your own adventure! We’ll kick things off around 7 or 8 a.m. and head down 503 steps to the stunning Air Terjun Nungnung waterfall. You can even go for a dip in the peaceful pool beneath the 40-meter drop and feel the power of the water!
Next up is Kintamani village, situated on the ridge of Gunung Batur, an active volcano. Its peak reaches 1717 meters and there’s also a beautiful lake called Danau Batur. As we get closer to the peak, we’ll drive along the rim of the ancient crater, and trust me, the view is absolutely breathtaking! On clear days, you can even spot the coast towards the South and Southwest.
We’ll stop for a delicious lunch at a restaurant with a stunning view of Mount Batur and the lake. On our way back from the volcano, we have a few options. We can swing by the vibrant city of Ubud, Bali’s cultural capital, where you can check out the Monkey Forest (just be careful of the wild monkeys!), take a short stroll in the gorgeous rice fields, or do some shopping in the town center. And don’t forget to visit an organic Luwak Coffee plantation, where our guide will teach you all about coffee, tea, and other natural products that smell amazing!
There’s so much to see in central Bali, so make sure to chat with your driver about your preferences. They’ll help you plan the perfect trip! The price for this awesome experience is 30 EUR per person (minimum of 2 people required), and that includes entrance to the Monkey Forest and the rice fields.
Now, let’s move on to the Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Dance. This temple, Pura Luhur Uluwatu, is one of the most famous in Bali, but it’s a bit tricky to get there on your own. No worries, Solid Surf can organize a trip for you! We’ll meet at the Surf House at 2 p.m. and our driver will take us to Uluwatu Temple. Once we’re there, we can explore the temple grounds, but do keep in mind a few rules. Everyone entering the temple must wear a sarong and sash, which you can rent at the entrance. Also, make sure to cover your back and shoulders, take off your shoes, and avoid pointing your feet towards Buddha statues or symbols. And ladies, if you’re pregnant or on your period, it’s best not to enter the temple. Remember, giving a donation is a great way to earn some good karma!
Be on the lookout for the cheeky monkeys who call this place home. They might try to swipe your sunglasses or anything shiny, so keep an eye out! As the sun begins to set, get ready for the magical Kecak dance performance on the cliff-side. It’s a traditional show that lasts about an hour and is made even more enchanting with the sunset as the backdrop. It’s the perfect way to end your day! The price for this fantastic experience is 20 EUR per person (minimum of 3 participants required), and it includes transport, entrance to the temple, and the Kecak dance.
I hope you’re excited about these tours because they’re going to be unforgettable! Let us know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else we can help you with. See you soon!

April 28, 2019 at 12:00 amWe arrived on a Sunday for a 3-day surf and Yoga retreat, but unfortunately, there was NO SURF that day. And to make matters worse, the staff were on their day off, so we couldn’t even buy drinks. If I had known this before booking, we would have chosen 3 different days for our 9-day trip. It’s really disappointing since the retreat was quite expensive (although I still think it’s worth it if you get the full experience). We basically wasted a whole day without even realizing it! On the bright side, the staff were fantastic, and the pool/relaxing area felt like an oasis. The room we stayed in (superior deluxe) was beautiful, BUT every morning from around midnight until 8am, there was no water. We couldn’t even flush the toilet or take a shower after our Yoga session!
