Dewi really knows her stuff when it comes to yoga, meditation, and sound healing. She’s so calm and friendly and made sure to cater to my ability levels. The Breathwork and ice bath were totally new to me, but they ended up being really healing experiences.

I felt like it was pretty pricey, but the attentive treatment made it worth it. I might just have a backpacker’s mindset. The room looked great, but the walls were so thin you could hear everything next door and below. However, I absolutely adored this retreat! It exceeded my expectations. The yoga was just right, and the sound healing and breath work were crucial for healing. I was grateful for everything and so happy I got to experience this!

No complaints here! Everything at the retreat was awesome and totally exceeded my expectations. The schedule was just perfect, with plenty of food options and meals. Even though I was there solo, I was treated like royalty. And the location, surrounded by rice paddies, was incredibly beautiful and peaceful.

I was disappointed and sad about this retreat that I had high expectations for. The communication was not good and the program did not match what was advertised in the package and schedule. This is not my first time in Bali, so I don’t understand the high price for a retreat that only lasted a day and a half instead of the 3 days stated on the website.

On top of that, there were issues with the room not matching the photo, being close to a noisy construction site, and having a bad smell and humidity. I had to pay for my own lunch on the first day and all the drinks throughout the day. The 7 am classes were free for hotel guests, and the last class wasn’t even taught by a retreat teacher.

The breathwork and ice bath were unexpectedly held in my room. Not all yoga classes took place in the yoga shala. The schedule was too packed for one day, and there was hardly anything scheduled on the arrival and departure days. This retreat is not suitable for solo travelers as it takes place in a romantic hotel filled with couples, and all classes are private, which was not mentioned initially.

Overall, the retreat is too expensive for just one day of activities. I was disappointed not to receive any follow-up after sharing my concerns. I believe this retreat could have been great if the information provided was accurate. I loved the class with Dewie, as well as the breathwork and ice bath. I thought those activities were amazing.

The hotel was nice despite the humidity and construction nearby. The food was good, and the hotel staff were lovely.

If you want a proper wellness or spiritual retreat, this retreat is not the place for you. Not all the photos match the reality of the hotel – the woman doing yoga by the pool and the yoga deck do not belong to this hotel.

A person who organizes activities at different hotels sends teachers to teach classes here, but no one from Shakti was on-site to manage or organize anything. It was a nightmare. I felt like I was an employee trying to coordinate between the hotel and the teachers, messaging them to figure out when and where activities were happening. It was stressful and definitely not the relaxing experience I was looking for.

When I arrived, I didn’t realize the retreat wasn’t organized directly by the hotel – they didn’t even know about the booking. The yoga class was in a public space, not a dedicated studio, with people walking by. Lila, the owner of Shakti, didn’t handle any of the problems that came up and left it to the teachers to deal with.

The retreat was overpriced for what it was, and I was moved to a much better hotel by accident. I ended up having a great experience there because of the hotel’s location, staff, and food – nothing to do with the retreat itself.

The Wakanda is definitely not the place for a yoga retreat. The yoga room sits right next to the restaurant bar, so while you’re trying to find your zen, you’re also hearing music and people laughing. The hotel caters to customers who aren’t interested in yoga or meditation classes. The food at the restaurant was the most tasteless in Bali. The room, while nice and spacious, smelled awful like an old wet sock mixed with humidity and drain. The same smell lingered in the spa. Ironically, I had the noisiest room right in front of the restaurant bar. If you’re just here for quality yoga classes in a beautiful location, then yes, go for it. Lila teaches fantastic yoga classes and has amazing energy. The breathwork and icebath session were also great. The yoga room offers stunning views of tropical vegetation. And don’t forget to try the excellent massages at the spa.

I had an amazing time at Shakti Wellness. Both instructors made sure to connect with each of us and understand how they could support us on our personal journeys. The sessions kept me feeling both relaxed and challenged, and I can’t wait to come back again.

I found the food a bit disappointing. I thought the prices were a little high for what we got. The ambience was really peaceful. All the facilities were great. And the staff was super friendly too.

There isn’t a special yoga space here. This place is more like a hotel that offers some yoga services, so expect to see families and other travelers who may not be in the most relaxing mood during your visit. People come and go at different times, so it can get a bit busy. While doing yoga by the pool was nice, most classes are held on a small balcony that you can only access through your room. The pictures on the listing don’t give a true representation. Your room doesn’t have a fridge. But the breathe workshop was fantastic! The staff and teachers were really friendly and the massage and zen walk were so enjoyable.

I wasn’t disappointed at all 🙂 Unfortunately, they had to cancel my candlelight meditation, but I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything.

The hotel in Ubud is a wonderful, peaceful location away from the center. It’s new and up-and-coming with very friendly and helpful staff. The food is amazing, well-balanced, and really tasty. The yoga practice and teaching are very good. And let me tell you, the massage was one of the best I’ve ever had! The Breathwork and Ice Bath experience was very interesting and unforgettable. I feel like I really connected with Lila and Vena, as well as all the other teachers – they were really great

Short retreats are a great way to unwind and practice yoga without overwhelming yourself. Lila has a very personal approach, so you get all the attention you need.
