To achieve a well-rounded wellness lifestyle, it’s important to incorporate stretching, muscle contouring, and exercise. This not only improves your physical health but also enhances your overall enjoyment of life. By increasing your stamina, you’ll be able to participate in physical activities that bring you joy. Whether you’re feeling overworked, carrying extra weight, or simply need some “me” time, our goal is to guide and motivate you towards taking control of your health.

Yoga: Lower your stress levels

Our expert yoga instructor will lead you through relaxing yoga and meditation sessions in the afternoons. Their knowledge, experience, and techniques will help you focus on your energy centers, bringing a sense of balance to your physical, energetic, and emotional well-being.

Vinyasa – Yin yoga

Vinyasa – Yin yoga is a slow-paced form of yoga that combines gentle movements with controlled breathing. This synchronization of body and breath significantly reduces stress levels while also promoting mental clarity and personal awareness. Yin yoga, on the other hand, focuses on gentle relaxation and helps release tension in your muscles, bringing a deep sense of calm to your mind. Our yoga sessions are carefully designed to ensure you experience complete relaxation and inner well-being.

Dewi was an amazing yoga, meditation and sound healing facilitator. She exuded such calmness, friendliness, and accommodation towards my ability levels. I had never tried Breathwork and an ice bath before, but they turned out to be incredibly healing experiences for me.

I felt like it was pretty pricey, but the attentive treatment made up for it. I might just have a backpacker’s mindset. The room looked gorgeous, but the walls were so thin that you could hear everything happening next door and downstairs. I absolutely adored this retreat! It exceeded my expectations. The yoga sessions were perfect as they pushed you just the right amount, and the sound healing and breath work played a crucial role in the healing process. I’m truly grateful for everything and I’m thrilled that I had the opportunity to experience this!

I have no complaints! Everything was awesome and it greatly exceeded my expectations. My schedule worked out perfectly. There were more than enough food options and meals for me. They treated me like royalty, even though I was solo. The location, surrounded by beautiful and peaceful rice paddies.

I’m disappointed and sad about this retreat that I had high expectations for. The communication is poor and the program doesn’t match the package and schedule that was promised. It’s not my first time in Bali, so I don’t understand why the retreat only lasts less than a day and a half instead of the 3 days stated on the website.

On top of that, there were problems with the room, which didn’t look like the photo and was close to a noisy construction site. There was also a bad smell and humidity in the room. I had to pay for my own lunch on the first day and all the little drinks throughout the day.

The 7 AM classes are supposed to be free for hotel guests, but the last class wasn’t even taught by a retreat instructor. The breathwork and ice bath took place in my room, which was a big surprise. Not all the yoga classes were held in the yoga shala either.

The schedule for the day was too packed, with almost nothing planned for the arrival and departure days.

This retreat is not suitable for solo travelers because it takes place in a romantic hotel filled with couples and all the classes are private, which was not mentioned initially.

Lastly, the retreat is very expensive for just one day of activities. Sadly, I haven’t received any response to my message regarding my disappointments.

I believe this retreat could have been good if the correct information was communicated. I loved the class with Dewie, as well as the breathwork and ice bath. I think these activities were even amazing.

The hotel is nice, despite the major humidity issues and construction nearby. The food is good, and the hotel staff is lovely.

If you’re looking for a proper wellness/spiritual retreat, this retreat is not it. The photos don’t match the actual hotel, like the woman doing yoga next to a pool and the yoga deck/area that don’t exist here.

Basically, this is just a person who plans activities at different hotels and sends teachers for classes. But, no one from Shakti was actually at the hotel managing and organizing the activities. It was a complete nightmare. I felt like I was the employee trying to coordinate between the hotel and the teachers. I had to message the teachers to figure out where and when the activities would take place. Definitely not the relaxing and disconnected experience you want.

Even the hotel didn’t receive clear instructions, causing constant disorganization and a lack of management and professionalism from Shakti.

When I arrived at the hotel, I didn’t know that the retreat wasn’t organized directly by the hotel. They didn’t even know about the booking or the so-called “retreat.” The first evening’s yoga class didn’t even happen in a proper yoga studio, it was held in the hotel’s general areas with people passing by.

Lila, the owner of Shakti, didn’t show any leadership skills in handling the problems that came up. Instead, she just sent the teachers to deal with everything. She never reached out to apologize or offer a solution. And considering the quality for the price, it’s way overrated. This retreat costs more than it’s worth.

The only things I liked were related to the hotel itself, not the retreat. Luckily, I was accidentally moved to a much better hotel and room that ended up being in a beautiful location with friendly people and delicious food.

The Wakanda is definitely not suitable for a yoga retreat. You can hear the music and noise from the restaurant bar while practicing yoga and meditation. Sadly, the hotel’s customers are not interested in yoga or meditation classes. The food at the restaurant is incredibly tasteless, probably the worst in Bali.

Although the room was nice and spacious, it had a terrible smell like wet socks, a combination of humidity and drain odor. Even the spa had the same unpleasant smell. Ironically, I was given the noisiest room right in front of the restaurant bar!

If you’re only interested in quality yoga classes in a beautiful location, then this place might be okay for you. Lila, the yoga instructor, is truly amazing. She has a beautiful energy and is possibly one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. The breathwork and ice bath session were also incredible.

The yoga room itself is stunning, surrounded by tropical vegetation and offering a beautiful view. The spa provides excellent massages in a pleasant setting.

There is no dedicated yoga space, as this place is more like a hotel that offers services rather than a yoga retreat. So, you should be prepared for families and other travelers who might not be in a ‘zen’ state of mind during your stay. People come and go at different times to accommodate various schedules. Although yoga by the pool was enjoyable, most classes take place on a cramped balcony that you can only access through your own room. The pictures in the listing can be misleading. Additionally, there is no fridge in the room. However, the breathe workshop was incredible, and the staff and teachers were extremely friendly and accommodating. The massage and zen walk were also delightful.

I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, my candlelight meditation got cancelled, but I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything. The location was wonderful and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The hotel itself is new and up and coming. The staff were super friendly and helpful. And let me tell you, the food was amazing! It was well balanced and so tasty. The yoga practice and teaching were top-notch, one of the best massages I’ve ever had! The Breathwork and Ice Bath experience was so interesting and unforgettable. I really connected with Lila and Vena, but honestly, all the teachers were fantastic. Short time retreats are the perfect way to unwind and practice yoga without overwhelming yourself. Lila has such a personal approach, you get all the attention you need.

The yoga room is positioned right next to the restaurant bar, so while you’re trying to practice yoga and meditation, you’re constantly disturbed by the restaurant’s music and the noise of customers chatting and laughing. Unfortunately, the hotel attracts customers who don’t value or respect yoga and meditation classes.
