I didn’t think of nothing. I really pondered this. I wish the course was longer and had more time for group discussions and delving deeper into philosophy. Especially with the teacher! Their teaching style was so real and they knew their stuff. They answered questions with patience and approached students in a loving and supportive way. It’s rare to find a teacher like that.

The Shala and the location was incredible. I was happy with the people I got to experience this with! The communication and organization was spot on! I would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to come back for YIN YTT level 2.

The place, the classes, the teachers, everything was fantastic. I learned a lot about yoga, both in practice and theory. The teachers are very helpful and willing to answer all our questions. However, if you don’t speak any English at all, this training is not for you. You need to have a basic understanding. Otherwise, I highly recommend this training!!

I had such an amazing experience at the Seminar! It was truly unforgettable. I got the chance to meet so many positive people and enjoy the beautiful location and delicious food. The teachers were absolutely incredible! Himanshu Bahuguna is an exceptional instructor with a deep passion for Yoga and Teaching. You could feel his enthusiasm every second of the training. It was such a special opportunity to train with him in Europe.

Faye Balomenou was also fantastic! She supported us throughout the training and motivated us to bring out the best in ourselves. Her knowledge in Yoga Philosophy was outstanding, and I had the most incredible Yoga Nidra experience ever during the Palairos seminar with Faye.

I wholeheartedly recommend this seminar to everyone! Don’t hesitate to book it! I’m already eagerly looking forward to the 300-hour training!

The way they taught The Anatomy was all over the place and there wasn’t enough discussion about how it relates to different poses in yoga. It would also be better if we could do the exam right after the lecture so we can use it for our training. Himanshu did an excellent job teaching Pranayama, Flow, and alignment.

From day 1, both Himanshu and Faye have made this journey unforgettable. They have ensured that every aspect, from the practical to the theory, and the extra support, is covered.

Spryos, with his absolute passion for anatomy, makes learning easy and fun. He also provides continued support even after the training.

Our 3 teachers combine to create a wholesome training experience. If you ever feel unprepared beforehand or worried about the future, rest assured that they will dissolve all those concerns.

Moreover, the sense of family you find here is incredible. Everyone is driven by the same purpose – to thrive in our practices. Sharing this journey with such incredible people will bring you pure joy.

Lastly, the staff here is amazing. They are kind, generous, hardworking, and always ensure our comfort during our stay.

In conclusion, if you’re interested in yoga, this is an opportunity you won’t regret.

I got so much more out of this training than I expected. Our teachers, Faye, Ippoliti, and Spyros, are incredibly passionate about what they do and they can really pass on their knowledge and love for yoga in a clear, detailed, and sometimes even fun way. Everyone, from the teachers to the hotel staff, was super helpful with any concerns or questions I had during my stay at Kosta Maria. The three weeks of training are intense, but you won’t regret it if you want to learn more about yoga and take your practice to the next level. You’ll learn so many new things and realize just how far you can push yourself. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world and grow together in our practice.

I suggest that the groups should have different age options. Personally, I would have preferred a group with people aged 30 and above. The training provided a beautiful path to explore yoga in all its amazing ways. We stayed at a small family-owned hotel, and it felt like home in every way. The food was always fresh and delicious, and the staff treated us like family, showing us love and always being helpful. One time, when I needed groceries, Stella, a staff member, kindly took me to a nearby market.

The training was intense, both physically and spiritually. There were times when we all broke down emotionally, but with the support of our incredible instructors, we were able to grow every day. Faye and Ippo, our instructors, had their own unique styles that perfectly complemented each other. Faye’s alignment classes and Ippo’s pranayama classes were truly one-of-a-kind. Despite having less time together, our anatomy instructor, Sypros, was also exceptional. His passion for anatomy was evident, and he motivated us in many ways.

Overall, this experience was incredible for me personally. I highly recommend it to anyone who is truly dedicated and has the time to explore the world of yoga. ???

I completed my 200h vinyasa teacher training with YogaUnion in June 2023 in Ubud, Bali and it completely transformed my life. The experience was incredible! The group of teachers I had were amazing and I learned everything I could have hoped for about yoga. Not only did I immerse myself in pure yoga, but I also formed strong connections with peers from all around the globe and gained a deeper understanding of myself.

I have to give a special shout out to my lead teacher, Himanshu. He is hands down the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had. His knowledge about everything in yoga, from asanas to pranayama and philosophies, is truly impressive. Himanshu has extensive experience working with students of different types and levels, from all corners of the world. On top of his teaching skills, his passion for what he does is outstanding. He always goes above and beyond to assist students in any way possible.

And let me tell you, it’s not just me who feels this way. I know for a fact that many of my fellow classmates absolutely adore Himanshu. He is the heart and soul of this training. We need more teachers like him in the world!

I was pleasantly surprised by this 200 hour Vinyasa YTT in Paleros. It exceeded all my expectations. Faye Balomenou, the instructor, is incredibly enthusiastic about yoga and generously shares her knowledge. Her alignment classes are detailed and precise, proving her experience and confidence as a teacher. The practices are intense and motivating. Eleni Chantzara, another instructor, complements Faye perfectly with her thoughtful teachings on Pranayama and various workshops. She also leads beautiful flows with a gentle energy. The anatomy classes taught by Spyros Kapitsinos are fascinating and keep you engaged, even after long practices. Spyros is extremely knowledgeable and empowers his students by teaching them about their own anatomy and how it relates to their yoga practice.

The hotel itself is located in a stunning spot, just half an hour’s walk outside of Paleros town. It has its own private beach, only a few steps away. If walking isn’t your thing, there’s also a pool. Everywhere you look, there’s a breathtaking view of the sea and beautiful mountains. The upper and lower Shala’s, combined with the scenery, create a fantastic atmosphere for practice. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the food is fresh, varied, and delicious. Most of it is a healthy/vegetarian twist on Greek dishes, though some might find it a bit heavy. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

The food was really good and tasty, but I have a few recommendations. It would be nice to have more variety in the choice of cereal and fruit for breakfast. Personally, I prefer the porridge to be thicker, more like a soup. It would also be great if they could replace the stuffed bell peppers and tomatoes with another dish.

I must say, this yoga teacher training went above and beyond my expectations. The teachers were absolutely amazing. They showered us with their knowledge, dedication, and passion for yoga, which made me feel like I truly absorbed the essence of yoga in my body, mind, and soul. It’s a wonderful feeling.

I came back home feeling like my authentic self, and I felt inspired to continue my practice and teach others, which I didn’t expect after just three weeks. Of course, it wasn’t an easy journey. There were moments of physical and psychological challenges, but it was necessary for us to push our limits and discover our true potential. In the end, every woman blossomed.

Fay is like a diamond with many different sides to her personality and teaching style. She’s critical when needed to ensure we understand what we’re doing, but she can also make us laugh uncontrollably. Eleni is a precious soul who makes breathing and meditation seem so desirable and easy to comprehend. Her yoga flows were challenging but satisfying. Spyros made Anatomy class interesting and logical, with plenty of humor. Surprisingly, I was able to remember the important topics for the exam.

The KostaMaria Family and staff are wonderful. The meals are delicious and the rooms are extremely clean. And let me tell you, only 106 steps and you can dive into crystal clear water with a breathtaking view. Don’t miss out on that opportunity!

In my opinion, I recommend bringing your own yoga mat or a travel version to place over the existing yoga mats. During my training, we practiced in the Earth shala of YogaUnion, which was located in the beautiful rice fields of Ubud. Luckily, my accommodation was conveniently situated just 2 meters away from the shala. Although there was no pool at our location, we were able to use the pools at nearby places where some of the other participants stayed.

For meals, we ate at a restaurant that was only a 3 minute walk away. The area also had some fantastic spas and cafes to explore, offering something different every day. While not every meal may have suited everyone’s taste, the buffet always had something delicious to enjoy.

My main teacher, Gourav, was incredibly knowledgeable about yoga, pranayama, and alignment of the asanas. He will definitely prepare you well for your journey to becoming a yoga teacher. I must also mention Menik, our anatomy teacher, who was absolutely amazing. She answered every single one of our questions and effectively connected the anatomy information with yoga poses.

Our philosophy teacher, Laila, had a special energy and a soothing voice. She also provided the 50-hour yin yoga teacher training. Throughout the training, we had a mix of different yoga classes including yin, restorative, acro, ashtanga, nidra, but our main focus was on vinyasa. The classes were more suitable for intermediate students, but as you progress, you’ll become stronger each day.

Within our group, there were 19 wonderful participants who made the training enjoyable and created a truly special experience. I highly recommend it!

I loved everything, except for sometimes when the restaurant was too crowded and they always ran out of food. :(( But overall, I still enjoyed it because of how well everyone took care of us.

Himanshu is amazing with his knowledge. Despite there being 30 more people, he managed to take care of and teach each one of us.

Laila is pure love and such a motivated person. She motivated me and filled my soul with love.

Fabien was always there during the training, constantly correcting me. I am so grateful for his company throughout the training. Sometimes he would give me a look and say, “You can do it, Sherin.” It meant a lot to me.

Luca is like a ray of sunshine in our group. He was always there when we had any problem, even personal ones. He was our emotional protector. His smile and positive energy were so strong that we never felt lonely.

Gustis Garden water Shala was not a pleasant experience. The rooms were filled with mould and my belongings, including clothes and shoes, were ruined. The price I paid for the accommodation was definitely too expensive. Luckily, I brought my own yoga mat, as the mats and bolsters provided were stained and dirty. They were absolutely disgusting!

The Wi-Fi was incredibly weak and slow. It was frustrating to try and use it. However, despite all the negative aspects, the training itself was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. It was a life-changing experience. I truly felt like I found a second family.

I am so grateful to have had Himanshu Bahuguna as my mentor and trainer. Because of him, I am now a certified yoga teacher. The knowledge I gained from Himanshu will undoubtedly help me throughout my entire yoga teaching journey. A friend recommended YogaUnion for my yoga teacher training, and I am so happy I chose to spend these three weeks with all the wonderful souls at YogaUnion. You guys are incredibly professional, kind, and open-minded. I learned so much from all of you.

Unfortunately, I had some uncomfortable experiences with the location. The videos and photos I had seen on the site for the past five years didn’t match up with the actual place, which was disappointing. It wasn’t clear to us that this was a different venue used when the first one is fully booked.

It would be nice if in the future, they could inform guests that there are three venues and offer the option to choose a specific one, like the rice fields instead of the Down Rabbit Hole.

I also had a privacy issue with the neighbor, but luckily, Ourania, the owner of Yoga Union, was very thoughtful and assured us that this kind of inconvenience will be addressed in the future.

Apart from that, the place was nice, and the bedrooms were new. The staff members were very friendly, especially the instructors. They had extensive knowledge and always made sure we understood everything by asking us questions and providing all the necessary information.

I would like to give a special thank you to Marina and Anna Viktoria for their amazing classes filled with kindness, love, and enthusiasm. You both will forever hold a special place in my heart. I also want to thank Gourav and Laila for being incredible and highly skilled teachers. And of course, a big thank you to Menik, my fantastic anatomy teacher, who made us fall in love with fascia and tendons, even though it may sound funny.

I loved everything about YogaUnion! The support team was incredible, always ready to help whenever other students had an issue. I can’t thank them enough for the life-changing journeys I experienced through their teachings.

Completing my 200hr and 300hr in vinyasa yoga was already amazing, but the 50hr yin TTC was the icing on the cake! The teacher was so knowledgeable and inspiring, and their unique energy made me feel supported and nurtured. Yoga has taught me so much about life and myself, and the Yin TTC allowed me to go even deeper within, finding moments of pure authenticity and peace in the midst of my busy mind.

I’m already excited for the next trainings YogaUnion has in store. I can’t wait to continue growing with them. Thank you again, YogaUnion, and a big thank you to your incredible teachers and support team. You remind us all of what truly matters in life. Mixing participants with varied levels of yoga experience may result in advanced practitioners not getting the most out of their training because instructors are required to teach at a slower pace. However, this issue could also be present in other yoga teacher training programs.

I find that some sessions, like the Kriya and Cacao ceremony, are not relevant to me. I prefer yoga workshops that focus on skills that will directly improve my own practice and teaching. It is important to have instructors who are knowledgeable and patient.

The accommodations provided are excellent, and the meals are top-notch. The staff members are incredibly sweet and friendly. The yoga workshops themselves are also excellent. Additionally, the location is convenient, being close to Ubud center. The yoga shala is intimate, clean, and well-maintained.

The Teacher Training went above and beyond what I expected. I have to admit, as a fairly new yogi, the demanding schedule offered its challenges, but it was amazing to witness my growth in both my yoga practice and personal life.

Yoga is much more than just physical exercise. Our Philosophy classes opened my eyes to incorporating the yogic lifestyle into my everyday routines off the mat.

I absolutely loved my accommodation in the rice fields. It was clean, beautiful, and just a few minutes away from the shala. The food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious.

In a place like those rice fields, nothing can go wrong. Nature surrounds you with its towering green leaves, the weather is simply delightful, and the cute sounds of frogs, gekos, birds, and flowing water make it feel like you’re listening to a perfect nature soundtrack.

The shala where we practiced always took good care of us and kept everything clean. They were well-organized when it came to meals (they even accommodated my celiac condition every time) and the training schedule. It’s a safe, cozy, and professional place.

    I highly recommend it! ??‍♀️?

Tanya, our philosophy teacher, had a holistic approach and spent many years in the yoga world worldwide. It was fascinating to listen and learn from her. We had a good balance with her. Eleni, on the other hand, brought great experience and explosive energy as a teacher. She gave clear instructions and explanations on alignments. We all learned a lot and had a blast in her classes! I’m definitely going to miss having her as a teacher.

The food was starting to get repetitive, but if you ever feel like it, you can always go out and eat.
I absolutely love the philosophy and anatomy teachers! They are amazing people, so knowledgeable. Although, I do think they could be a little more prepared for some of the questions people ask.
The people you meet at the YTT are incredible. From the teachers to your “classmates” and the restaurant and accommodation staff, everyone is amazing.
Gourav, our Vinyasa and alignment teacher, is a rockstar. He’s so knowledgeable and funny. It’s always a pleasure attending his classes.
You’ll learn so much, and everyone is open and willing to help and answer your questions.
Honestly, it was one of the most heartwarming and beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. There were even tears in some of the classes, but they were good tears. I highly recommend it! If I had the chance, I would do it again tomorrow!

It didn’t quite meet my expectations. They promised us a different yoga teacher as well as Himansu, but we didn’t receive it. I also signed up to do other styles of yoga besides Ashtanga and Vinyasa, such as tantra yoga, Yin yoga, and pregnancy yoga. However, except for a one-off class, we weren’t fully educated on these different styles to be able to teach them in my own practice. The course focused on the asana and the mind, but it was missing soul and leadership skills. Our group was challenging, with some members being opinionated and quite rude at times. For example, they would fall asleep in lessons, miss class, lie down during meditation, or be on their phones. There wasn’t a real leader to rein in this behavior. The course was okay, but it felt like a trial run to see if they could do a 300-hour course. I would have been satisfied if I was told this before I booked, and if the price was lower. The accommodation, food, and individual teachers were satisfactory.

I struggled with knowing what to include on my resume when I applied for teaching positions. I also didn’t have much knowledge about yoga alliance or the logistics of working in a studio, such as whether I needed liability insurance. These were things I wanted to learn.

The hotel staff and everyone working there were incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. They were great at communicating and accommodating our needs. Everyone at yoga union put in a lot of effort to make the experience special and wonderful. They took care of everything, and those three weeks were absolutely stress-free! The food was incredible, and the instructors were top-notch.

The groups were way too big, with around 30 students in each. I really wished they were smaller, so we could have a closer connection to our teacher and receive more individual attention. The yoga teachers, Faye, Eleni, Alex, and Ippo, were amazing. They had a lot of knowledge and were always there for us. I was also thrilled to have Angela, who worked so hard and spread so much love and positive energy to all of us. The staff at Kosta Maria were incredibly lovely; they took great care of each of us. Cooking for such a large group with different allergies and dietary preferences is not easy, but they always managed to provide fresh and delicious meals. Great job!

I really didn’t like the philosophy classes at all and the alignment methodology didn’t impress me either. I also didn’t like that they advertised a group of 30 people for the instructor training and ended up having two groups of 30 people at the same time. It was overwhelming and I believe smaller groups create a different atmosphere. I loved the opportunity to experience another country and the amazing beaches. The quality of the vinyasa classes was excellent but the learning methodology was lacking at times. The food was incredibly delicious and local, which I didn’t expect; I was surprised but I liked it. What I liked the most was the group of people I met.

I really enjoyed the course and my time there, but there are a few small things I would like to critique:

    – It was sometimes difficult to leave the hotel, but that’s mainly because of the infrastructure in Palairos.
    – The food was good, and they accommodated lactose-free/vegan diets. However, the labeling and selection were sometimes a bit strange, so I think they just need to practice a bit more and come up with more varied dishes.
    – I wish we had more opportunities to practice our own sequences, but I understand that there wasn’t much time for it with all the things we needed to learn in such a short period.
    – I would have preferred if the course was a couple of days longer. The teachers spent too much time on exams and didn’t have enough time for individual attention to our personal flows. I know it’s probably not possible in real life though (the other 200h courses I looked at were even shorter!) 😉
    – Everything wasn’t always well-planned, and we didn’t always receive information on time. But overall, everything worked out.
    – Thank you for a wonderful experience! Embarking on this yoga journey made me very happy. The course was intense, and I learned a lot, just as I expected. The staff at Kosta Maria was kind, and the location was beautiful!

I had several expectations before the course, and I’m happy to say that they were all fulfilled:

    – I wanted the training to be physically challenging, and it really was!
    – I hoped to gain a holistic view of yoga, and there was a good mix of different perspectives.
    – I knew it would be intense and focused, and it was mentally demanding. But I’m still happier with this condensed course than doing the 200h over a year.
    – I didn’t want it to be too spiritual, and I appreciated that they introduced us to the spiritual aspect without pressuring us into things like chanting. It was really nice.
    – Lastly, I wanted to understand myself better, and I can confidently say that I do now!

I feel so grateful for all the knowledge I have gained.

The chefs made the food with love, but it simply didn’t meet the standard. They didn’t include any fresh juices or enough fresh fruit, and the meals, in general, weren’t great. They relied too heavily on processed soy in the menu and didn’t offer enough variety of vegetables, resulting in an unbalanced meal. Adding some creativity to the menu would have made all the difference.

But, on a positive note, the instructors were phenomenal, and the location couldn’t have been better.

I didn’t like Gourrav at all. He’s well-intentioned and tries hard, but he has terrible communication skills. I don’t know if he just can’t express himself well or if he gets lost in translation. His Pranayam and vinyassa classes annoyed me because he used the same words over and over again. It was really disappointing when he graded our final exams instead of Himanshu because his feedback was so poorly delivered and didn’t match what actually happened in class. He’s just not as good as the other instructors at Yoga Union!

The workshops on children’s yoga and prenatal yoga were not helpful either. Itta, the teacher, is a great person but not a good instructor. She had no structure in her classes and seemed to make things up as she went along. I would’ve preferred to learn more about yogic philosophy since we didn’t cover all the chapters in our textbook. Or maybe they could’ve brought in an ayurvedic clinician to talk about doshas or yogic diets.

But overall, I’m grateful for this experience. The teachers were passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging. I learned a lot about yogic philosophy, history, and anatomy, as well as alignment and teaching. The shala was beautiful, and I actually liked the large class size. We had two classes happening at the same time, so there were always new people to meet. One thing to note though, the Fire shala was way more beautiful than the Earth shala, so definitely try to get into the Fire group.

Everyone at Yoga Union was amazing, from the housekeepers to the cooks. They were thoughtful, generous, and kind. Living and practicing in the rice fields was truly beautiful. And the food, oh my gosh, I’ll miss it so much. They had a great mix of Indonesian and global dishes, and as a vegan, I couldn’t have been happier.

Sometimes, we experienced some hiccups within the organization. Communication concerning transportation or scheduling tended to be a bit disorganized and occasionally delayed. Important information was often only shared through word-of-mouth on WhatsApp. If you weren’t part of the group chat, you might miss out on important updates.

It wasn’t explicitly mentioned during the booking process that some people would need to live off-campus. Personally, if I had known that I would have to live off-campus, I wouldn’t have wanted to take the course.

In my opinion, there were times when more attention should have been given to the physical well-being of the students. Not everyone was prepared for all the poses we attempted, and there were some minor injuries.

Throughout my stay, there were around 40 students, split into two groups. My group consisted of 21 students. However, I learned that in some months, the groups can be as large as 35 students. The group size was manageable, but it definitely shouldn’t have been any bigger.

Personally, I would have appreciated a more comprehensive education in anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, and especially philosophy. It’s important to note that this course only serves as an introduction to these topics. The experience varied greatly between the two groups, as it heavily depended on the personal style and teaching methodology of the instructors. In summary, I would have expected more alignment among the teachers.

Having said all that, my overall experience was fantastic, and I would gladly do it again! The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including anatomy, philosophy, alignment, and of course, practicing yoga. I really enjoyed the holistic approach. Some of the theoretical lessons were conducted with everyone sitting on the floor, which was tiring at first. But the combination of theory and practice was perfect for delving deeper into the concepts.

The quality of the teachers was commendable and appreciated by everyone. However, it came as a surprise to not know who would be teaching during the month of your stay when you initially book.

The staff at Kosta Maria hotel were incredibly kind and accommodating. They were always ready to assist and had a great sense of humor. They truly made our experience special! The food was delicious, and I appreciated the regular meal times and the overall high standards of cleanliness. My room also had an amazing view of the ocean.

Finally, I was truly impressed by the other students. They were caring, kind, and always friendly. It was a pleasure to be around them, and they created a supportive community that made everything so enjoyable. You could always count on them for help whenever it was needed.

The food could have had more variety, and after a while, it felt like we were having the same 5 or 6 recipes over and over again. Plus, the food was often too salty or too sweet for my taste. But not everyone felt the same way ? I guess it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Before I booked the training, I spent a lot of time reading reviews from former students, and I was skeptical. It sounded too good to be true. But this training completely changed my life. I wasn’t fully sure if I wanted to be a yoga teacher before, but now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Yoga makes me so happy and connected to my true self.

We were really fortunate to have such an amazing group of students. They were beautiful and sweet people, and everyone genuinely cared about each other from day one. We spent three weeks in a loving and supportive environment where we could fully dedicate ourselves to our practice. I made friends that I know will last a lifetime, and I feel incredibly lucky for that!

Now, let me tell you about the teachers, Rachel and Ippoliti aka Ippo or Ippopo or Chop Chop. They exceeded all expectations, and I’ll remember their teaching and personalities for the rest of my life, no doubt. They didn’t just teach us what we needed to know for the exam, but they also shared their wisdom and inspired me in countless ways as yogis and human beings.

Before the training, I had only been introduced to asana and pranayama. But learning about philosophy, anatomy, and alignment helped me take my practice to a whole new level. It’s like there’s an entire ocean of yoga knowledge in front of me, and a lifetime won’t be enough to learn even half of it.

I want to give a big thanks to Kostas and his family too. They made this training extra special! Lots of love!

The people in my training group were the main issue, not the training or the teachers. Many of them were judgmental and close-minded, seeing yoga only as a workout and ignoring the spiritual aspect. They lacked open-mindedness and acceptance, leading to cliques and gossip. I wish we had embraced everyone and treated everyone equally in a larger group. Despite not enjoying the experience, I was able to tune it out. Perhaps it was also because there were too many people in the Fire group. It would have been helpful to know beforehand that there would be over 30 people in one group. Additionally, the same dominant individuals consistently asked questions during lessons, making it harder for quieter people to benefit. Your personality plays a role; extroverted individuals may thrive in this environment. The food was disappointing as the vegan option left me hungry due to insufficient protein. Some meals lacked protein entirely. On the bright side, the teachers and the training itself were amazing. Although we only learned how to plan 30-minute lessons, we can use this knowledge to create 1-hour lessons, but we must do it on our own time.

Me and six other students out of a total of 30 stayed at a different place instead of the designated accommodation. It was only a 5-minute car ride or a 20-minute walk away, so I wasn’t too bothered by it. The only issue was that the daily transportation to the actual accommodation was often late, causing us to be late for class sometimes.

They advertised it as a Vinyasa/Ashtanga training, but in my opinion, it was more of just a Vinyasa training. However, they did cover various styles of yoga like Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Overall, I had a great experience at Yoga Union. The teachers, Ippoliti, Rachel, and Eleni, were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The classes were informative, and the teachers were always available to answer any questions. The staff at the accommodation were also really caring and kind. If you decide to come during the winter, be aware that Greece also gets cold. Make sure to pack extra layers and warm clothes. Oh, where do I even begin? I had the most amazing experience during my teacher training in Palairos. Faye is a total rockstar when it comes to yoga and she teaches in a straightforward way. She’s incredibly clear about what she teaches and believes in, gives great feedback, and pushes everyone to be their best selves. Laila is a gentle soul with incredible knowledge about breath work, meditation, yin, and nidra yoga. She’s also fantastic at breaking down difficult arm balancing poses. Together, they were the perfect balance. And let’s not forget Jonas, the anatomy teacher. I absolutely adored his classes! Jonas has a way of explaining complex subjects in easy-to-understand pieces. If you have Jonas for anatomy, consider yourself lucky (just watch out for his dry humor, haha). Thank you all for an unforgettable and educational teacher training. I learned so much and will be forever grateful. Our accommodations at ‘foodpath’ in Palairos were only a 5-min walk to the beach and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was an authentic Greek experience and the food was incredible! Adonis and Elli put so much love into preparing diverse meals with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, there were no props provided for understanding Yin Yoga alignments, which was disappointing. The communication regarding this should be improved so that students can bring their own props. Nonetheless, my experience at YogaUnion was awesome.

The teachers and instructors at YogaUnion are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. They take the time to share their expertise and experiences with humility, responsibility, and precision. What’s even more important is their beautiful humanity and happiness that radiates throughout the students and the place.

The food at YogaUnion is amazing – it’s well-balanced, made with fresh ingredients, and includes delicious fruits for both vegetarians and vegans. The materials provided to students to understand the classes are also exceptional.

You will definitely leave YogaUnion as an excellent certified Yoga teacher. Thank you to everyone for the amazing experience. I will definitely come back in the future! Your energy and professionalism are top-notch!

This training was absolutely perfect! The location took my breath away, the food and accommodation were fantastic, and the teaching was outstanding. The course balanced physical asana practice, meditation, lectures, and alignment classes really well. The teachers, especially Ippoliti, were incredibly helpful and always ready to assist. The group size was just right, and I’ve formed lifelong friendships with my fellow yoga teachers. Ourania was incredible, full of knowledge, and her classes were so much fun! The course was so amazing that I decided to extend my trip and stay an extra week for the 50 hour Yin Teacher Training course, which was just as magical. I’ll always be grateful to YogaUnion and I’m proud to be part of the YogaUnion family. Oh, and there was the cutest baby kitten at the hostel as well!

I had a bit of a hard time following the recorded classes in the philosophy course. When you sign up for online teaching training, you don’t expect to be so well guided and welcomed to the program, even digitally.

I absolutely loved learning with the Yoga union family! The teachers are amazing both in terms of their personal approach and teaching methods. I highly recommend booking with them.

We were not happy with the accommodation in Greece. The room had numerous centipedes and other insects because the door didn’t close properly, leaving a small gap at the bottom. There was no washing machine and no closet available for us. They also didn’t clean the rubbish bin in our bathroom daily as they had promised. It only happened once a week, despite them asking us to throw used toilet paper inside the bin. Moreover, the food they cooked was very similar day after day, and sometimes there wasn’t enough for all of us. It’s a shame because the teacher training itself was amazing! It would have been perfect if the accommodation had been just as nice.

I wouldn’t change anything except for the food, which could be a bit more varied. But I understand that cooking for 20 girls with different dietary restrictions must not have been easy! This 3-week intensive course has been the most magical experience of my life so far. Everything was absolutely amazing. The place, a very authentic Greek village, the hostel and the family who runs it, they were all lovely people always ready to help and make sure we had everything we needed. The instructors, Fay, Spyros, and Ourania, were wonderful human beings who gave us way more than what was expected. The shala and the incredible view, the yoga and meditation classes and workshops, everything was just perfect. I could keep going on and on. I am so grateful that I decided to embark on this journey with the Yoga Union Bali family, and I am incredibly excited about everything that lies ahead. I’ve rarely felt so connected with life, nature, and people. Thank you so much for everything you did for us. You will always hold a special place in my heart, just like the other 19 amazing girls I had the chance to meet and now call family. I am certain that we will meet again because positive energy attracts positive people!

I would have preferred if the final flow had a more regimented mark scheme and feedback form. It would have been beneficial to receive opinions from two teachers instead of just one. It would have been better to have written feedback with different criteria, such as structure, voice, atmosphere, adjustments, and teaching skills. The location was amazing, just a 5-minute walk from the Shala and away from the beach. The quality of teaching was outstanding, and I learned so much. A special thanks to Faye, who was incredible, as well as to Ourania, who was an amazing teacher, and Spyros, who was helpful and kind. The food and accommodation surpassed expectations. Those three weeks were some of the best in my life, and I highly recommend doing it, even if you’re unsure. Don’t worry about not feeling good enough, as everyone starts thinking their practice isn’t strong, but it doesn’t matter! I didn’t plan on teaching afterwards, but I loved the teaching aspect and fell even more in love with yoga. Now, I want to start teaching and prepare for my 300-hour certification! I also had the pleasure of meeting many amazing people, and everyone was so lovely and friendly.

The food could have had more variety, but it still tasted good. Our shala was very crowded, I wish we could have practiced in a bigger space. The entire combination of the location, activities, and the people I met there was just life-changing. Nicol was an amazing teacher and taught me so much about my body and overcoming barriers. Every morning, I eagerly anticipated the pranayama and meditation sessions with Kati, who guided me in understanding and loving myself more. I appreciated having a large group of people in the course because it allowed me to build a global network and witness different levels of strength and flexibility, as well as see what challenges people faced.

Nina and I didn’t have enough anatomy class and our philosophy class was pretty poor. The 108 sun solution is a terrible practice for this course – so many students felt broken and exhausted afterwards. Personally, I shouldn’t have done it at all. But our yoga teacher was really positive and knowledgeable about his subject. And Jones, our anatomy teacher, was excellent.

I wish I could give a 100% good review, but our philosophy instructor didn’t feel confident about the material she was teaching. She spent 2-3 days on the testable material and then completely abandoned it to make us do exercises where we wandered around the premises smelling flowers and touching rocks. She discouraged too many questions, couldn’t stay on topic, and allowed some people to speak more than others. It was extremely frustrating because we were all supposed to pass an exam on very concrete information. I personally asked her to focus on the exam material and she told me there was no way to cover it in only eight days and defensively asked me how I expected her to do that. I didn’t feel like this was an appropriate attitude from an instructor. No one felt truly prepared when the exam came, and many of us spent a lot of time cramming philosophy.

It would’ve been nice if they had given us the manual in pdf format before training so that we could’ve spent time studying in advance. Reading the recommended books definitely helped, but I feel that they should’ve been mandatory so that we all could’ve come to training mentally prepared. The retreat in Bali is definitely both work and enjoyment, so if we had more opportunity to put work in in advance, it would have made the retreat easier to just enjoy. Our alignment classes were amazing. I feel honored to have learned alignment from Himanshu. He is a devoted, dynamic and technical instructor. He is both knowledgeable and passionate about teaching yoga. Himanshu taught our class all of the major alignments of yoga positions and gave us practical knowledge of using yoga. Himanshu personally pushed me to new limits and he wasn’t afraid to demand the best from our entire class. During my 23-day course with him, my strength, stamina, and flexibility all improved dramatically. I was able to do new poses I had never tried before. We started teaching immediately, so it helped me feel fully prepared for my final demo. We built up everything slowly and methodically. Himanshu is also excellent at guiding his students through more subtle things like breathwork. By the end of my course, I was able to go deeper into my meditation and pranayama. He truly equipped me to be a better yoga practitioner.

If you’re looking for a Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, I highly recommend booking with YogaUnion. They provide a complete experience that you won’t regret.

Before I booked, I did a lot of research and visited multiple Yoga Teacher Trainings around Bali. None of them compare to what YogaUnion has to offer.

The yoga practice was fantastic and the teachers were very thorough. My favorite part was the alignment classes where we spent 2 hours each day analyzing every single posture. It was a great opportunity for discussion, demonstration, and practice.

Try to book as early as possible and request to join the rice fields group if there are still spots available.

I’m so grateful to have met all these incredible people, especially Ourania who organized everything. Words can’t describe her energy and kindness.

    Best,

The food at the Mansion was the only disappointing part of the training. Being a long-time vegan, I was bummed to see limited protein and complex carb options. It’s tough when you’re studying hard and doing intense yoga. And the lack of variety made things even more repetitive after 3 weeks. YogaUnion did try to fix things with the Mansion Hotel, so hopefully future trainings will be better. But overall, I loved the 200 YTT with YogaUnion! The teachers were all passionate and knowledgeable. Nikol, our main teacher, was amazing. Her energy shone through in every class, whether she was teaching alignment or a flow. She’s found her true calling and has the sweetest soul. We all learned so much from her.

After the third week, the food started to get a bit repetitive but was still tasty.
During classes, the teachers should ask anyone from the retreat to demonstrate the pose, no matter their level, instead of always choosing the most flexible or strongest yogi. This way, everyone can see how the teacher corrects or guides the student into the pose, as we are more likely to teach beginner or intermediate students in the future. Yoga is not about comparing oneself to others. Some yogis were disappointed to always see the same advanced student demonstrating the pose.
I just hope this won’t happen in future retreats. But I still really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. The location is amazing, surrounded by rice fields! The shala and restaurant were fantastic, especially the breakfast which was my favorite meal with all the fruits, muesli, homemade coconut yogurt, and sometimes pancakes and French toast. Everyone was so friendly, I had a wonderful time. It was truly a life-changing experience! And it was also cheaper than other organizations while still being amazing.

Arrive at least 2 days before to get over jet lag and used to the weather, and stay a week after to explore the island/Gili/Nusa Penida. The course is intense with 2 Sundays off to chill. The teachers were incredible in asana, anatomy, and philosophy, with so much passion and care given by Aaka (philosophy) and Spyros (anatomy). Daily asana and vinyasa classes were super strong with Nikol and Himanshu.
Accommodation at the mansion resort was like a honeymoon dream. I splurged on my own double room and it was totally worth it. The staff were friendly with daily room cleanings and there were great places to work and revise. The Shalas where we practiced yoga were paradise.
Note that you won’t be staying in town, but a free shuttle or £8 taxi ride can get you there. Scooter hire is also available nearby. The food was good and all vegetarian, perfect for me as a veggie. I wished there was a coffee supply in the afternoon, but the cafe had ice coffee for £3.50.

I wish we had more moments of silence during the training so we could really dive deep into our inner yogic journey. The training felt a bit superficial, like we were just receiving information. I suggest having silent days at the beginning or even every morning before breakfast. This way, students can focus on meditation, pranayama, and their asana practice, truly understanding the essence of yoga instead of just seeing it as a workout. Himanshu, our teacher, did a fantastic job making classes enjoyable while also challenging us to do our best. He shared his wisdom with us in a way that allowed us to take away what resonated with us. The other teachers were also amazing, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from them.

I really wish we had started with introductions for everyone in the beginning, maybe with some fun games or activities so we could all learn each other’s names!

We learned in anatomy that while you can quickly build strength, tendons and ligaments need more time to catch up… It would have been great if the teachers had reminded us to slow down and listen to our bodies. Instead, it felt like we were being pushed to push ourselves further in every pose, which isn’t really sustainable in a 3-week intensive training. It seemed like more than half the class ended up with injuries afterwards, which didn’t seem very healthy. I wish there had been more flexibility on some days.

I was hoping for more guidance and adjustments for beginners in the yoga class, especially since the YTT was advertised for both beginners and advanced practitioners.

As for the philosophy class, I would have appreciated more foundational information instead of diving straight into deep discussions on topics I didn’t know much about. It was even tougher for non-native English speakers to keep up. I don’t feel like I got a solid grasp on yoga philosophy, which might be due to the somewhat disorganized approach to teaching the material.

However, I did enjoy the overall atmosphere created by the teachers, trainees, and Karmayogis. The schedule, food (though a bit more fruit variety would be nice), location, structure of the training, alignment focus, early teaching opportunities, international mix of participants, and special events like the cacao ceremony and silent walk were all highlights for me. The teachers’ dedication and passion also stood out.

I didn’t love the philosophy classes because we didn’t have much time for critical discussion of yoga concepts. The teachers did make an effort to review main terms for exams, which I appreciated. However, I believe future yoga teachers should be able to not only know about concepts like chakras, doshas, and gunas, but also critically evaluate yoga philosophy. Unfortunately, this discussion felt almost non-existent or unsafe to bring up in class.

By the second week, I wasn’t too excited about the food.

Despite these minor issues, my overall experience at the retreat far exceeded my expectations in a positive way! It was a wonderful and unique experience that I am finding hard to leave after three weeks. Spyros and Ourania have created a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for yogis and future teachers, and are truly inspiring. Himanshu’s passionate teaching style in our morning practices helped me push my limits and grow stronger each week. Each teacher brought their own personality to the Shala. The food at the retreat can get repetitive. Not everyone gets the same type of accommodations, which wasn’t made clear to me beforehand. Some people stay in a mansion resort while others are in the rice fields. There’s a wide range of accommodations available. I wish they had focused more on spirituality and self-development, but overall, it was a life-changing experience for me. So, despite these small complaints, the retreat was incredible.

Typically, there are around 30 people in the group, which becomes like a family. If you prefer a smaller, more intimate setting, this retreat may not be the best fit for you. Personally, I prefer smaller groups, but the amazing people at the retreat make it worth it. The location in the rice fields was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for yoga teacher training. The training was physically intense but rewarding. It’s important to know that it’s hard work before you sign up.

The teachers are mostly amazing and well-educated, and they truly want you to succeed as a yoga teacher. The food was decent overall, even though it did get repetitive after a while. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this, but my overall experience was very good. At first, I didn’t think I could handle it, but I surprised myself in the end. I think it had to do with the spirit and everything around me. Thank you for helping me grow. Ourania and Spyros are magical people with a strong, positive, and loving vibe that you just can’t resist. I think the lunch and dinner meals could use more fresh vegetables and less carbs. Breakfast was fantastic, but some of the other meals didn’t seem as healthy as I hoped for a yoga training in Bali. The instructors really motivated, inspired, encouraged, and were lovely. They genuinely care about each person in the training, making the whole experience what it is. It was a very impactful experience in the best way. The shala was also breathtaking. I would suggest this training to anyone looking for a beautiful, meaningful, fun, challenging, life-changing experience. I am extremely grateful for the instructors and the whole experience.

The teachers varied in their quality, but overall, they were good. Since I already had a pretty advanced physical practice, I felt like the course was more geared towards beginners. The anatomy and philosophy lessons were also better suited for those just starting out. The location and accommodations at Ubud Nirwa Karma were top-notch. The food was basic but delicious. The shala was amazing, and the overall setup of the place was impressive. If you’re new to yoga and looking for a self-development experience, this course is a solid option.

I read every review that said the food is repetitive and standard. Honestly, you don’t need too much variety for your body with the physical stress you put it through every day. It was just fine for what my body needed after 2 hours of daily vinyasa. I am so glad I chose this course. I looked at probably thousands in many different countries and this one by far exceeded my expectations. It was hard. Really hard. They recommend that you read a few books before coming. Read them. They recommend you have a yoga routine before coming. Do it. I did a little bit 3 weeks isn’t enough. It’s so much information. But once you accomplish it, it’s so rewarding. The rest of the group I was with were some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. We became a family and it was beautiful. You laugh you cry, I have some bruises… but all worth it. For the super affordable price it’s so much more than you would think. Nikki was an outstanding instructor. She pushed you enough to see what you are capable of and you truly surprise yourself. Spyros was the best anatomy instructor. He is so passionate! Thank you Yoga Union!

The food, the accommodations, and the classes were all better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend this experience to everyone. Himanshu made the classes both enjoyable and informative, while Ourania and Spyros were outstanding as well. Ourania’s peaceful yet powerful presence inspired me, and Spyros made learning anatomy a breeze. Despite the tough workload and homework, the school is definitely worth the effort. I loved the training! I wish I could have seen and experienced the main union yoga shala in the ricefields, but I was part of the mansion resort group so I couldn’t. The closing ceremony there seems nicer and more authentic too. The resort could get noisy at times, especially since our shala was near the pool area, which wasn’t ideal for certain classes. But overall, the resort is really nice! The teachers were amazing. They taught us everything about Asanas, alignment, variations, and the benefits of yoga. They were caring and taught us with a deep love and commitment to yoga. It felt like tough but caring love for all the students. I’m so grateful to Nikole, our main teacher, for all the effort, patience, and care she put into teaching us. Spiros and Ourania were wonderful too and really helped build a great yoga community there. It’s a lot of information to absorb in 3 weeks, so make sure to rest and clear your mind between classes to take it all in again, especially for the exam. The teaching structure starts right away and you progressively build your flow while teaching each other. It’s an intense physical, mental, and emotional, but amazing experience, and you really grow into a yogi family! I’ll always be thankful that I did this training! Namaste.

The hotel’s wifi was spotty at times, but that’s not YogaUnion’s fault – it’s the hotel’s problem. Plus, there are cute cafes nearby where you can get great food and fast wifi if you need it! Honestly, I can’t think of anything negative to say. The team at YogaUnion is fantastic; they’re so knowledgeable and present information in a clear and easy-to-understand way without losing its importance. Nikol, Spyros, and Ourania are truly amazing teachers and people. From the moment I arrived, they felt like family. The accommodation was beautiful, and the daily schedule was busy but perfectly structured so you don’t get overwhelmed. There was also enough free time to explore Ubud, which is an incredible town. I’m so glad I chose this YTT – it’s the best gift I’ve ever given myself. I’m leaving this training feeling confident as a yoga teacher and as a better, more grounded person in general. This course blew my mind. The location just blew me away – right smack in the middle of the rice fields! The guest house where I crashed exceeded all my expectations. And let me tell you, that vegetarian food they served up three times a day during the training? Delish.

The instructors? Top-notch, no doubt about it. Himanshu – let me tell you, that guy is a yoga wizard (seriously one of the BEST I’ve ever had). He pushed us to go beyond our limits and really shine. Ourania and Spyros were absolute pros, teaching us all about alignment and anatomy. They were so knowledgeable, and their instructions were crystal clear. Not to mention, they were genuinely kind and caring, always making sure we were comfortable, healthy, and fully focused on yoga.

We got to try out different styles of yoga like yin, vinyasa, ashtanga, and hatha. Every morning we dabbled in various pranayama and meditation techniques. The workshops were a game-changer – I saw major improvements in everyone’s practice immediately. People were nailing headstands, arm balances, and back bends safer and quicker than ever before.

I can’t stress enough how amazing this training was. It totally transformed my practice and my life. I am definitely coming back to beautiful Ubud to soak in even more of that magic one day.

I loved staying in the rice fields! However, a few of us, including myself, didn’t know we had the option to stay at the mansion instead. We only found out when we arrived and the groups were already split. I suggest letting us know about the options when we book. Overall, I was happy with where I was, but it can vary for everyone. So knowing in advance will keep everyone satisfied.

Deciding to come for a yoga teacher training was the best choice I ever made. If you’re on the fence, just do it – you’ll gain so much from it, whether you plan to teach or not. Bali has a special energy and power that helps release negativity. And with teachers like Ourania and Himanshu, along with the amazing people you’ll meet, this experience becomes transformative. It’s a peaceful place where you can be yourself, with yourself, but never alone.

The training is tough and will push you physically and emotionally. There will be moments when you want to give up, but the supportive group will motivate you to keep going. No matter your reasons for the training, you will grow and improve. Your problems won’t disappear overnight, and becoming a great teacher takes practice, but YogaUnion in Ubud is the perfect place to start.

To my group mates from the September course, I’m grateful for meeting you all. You helped me grow and have more confidence, and I believe we helped each other. Best of luck in all you do! And to our fantastic teachers – THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge with us!

I recommend revising the training book to correct mistakes and add missing postures in a few spots. Other than that, everything is perfect. The Ricefield Yoga Shala is like a dream. Every detail surrounding the place is unique. I had the best experience with Yoga Union’s classes in Bali, especially with the ricefield group. The remote location from busy Ubud, the sounds of nature, birds chirping, and occasional silence, the pathway to the beautiful shala, and the restaurant 308 where Chef Putu and Yoga served us every day – it was magical. The fireflies at night and the starry sky added to the enchantment. We stayed in little hotels along the pathway, feeling like neighbors in a village. My hotel, Nirwa Ubud Karma, was comfortable and I have no complaints.

The owners of Yoga Union, Ourania and Spyros, are the epitome of love and devotional love. They not only share love with each other but also with their students. Feeling loved and supported by them during the intense training was invaluable. The whole training crew – Himanshu, Jonas, Saavas, Juan Carlos, Florence, and Pablo – were professional and competent. I am grateful for choosing this training to learn how to teach and share Yoga. Thank you to the teachers and students of the August session for making this experience beautiful and unforgettable.

I was really disappointed by the lack of communication in the beginning about where my training would be held. They said it was going to be in a rice field Shala with food from an organic restaurant nearby, but I ended up at a resort and the food got old fast. It made it hard to feel nourished after long yoga sessions.

But, on the bright side, the instructors were amazing. They were all so passionate about what they were teaching and it really showed. I wouldn’t change that for anything.

I was hoping for a more personal and growth-oriented experience, though. While I did learn a lot about myself, I was hoping to connect on a deeper level with the instructors and the group as a whole.

The amount of knowledge I gained about yoga, anatomy, and philosophy is invaluable. I learned so much in just 3 weeks, thanks to the instructors they chose.

Yoga Union was always there to address any concerns we had throughout the 3 weeks. I felt really safe traveling from far away with them.

We didn’t get much personal critique on our teaching or yoga practice because we had a large group, probably because it was August. But the energy from the big group was fantastic, and it was awesome to share the experience with people from all over the world. Having more students meant there were more people to learn from, which was great. The Shala was in a stunning location in the rice fields, surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud center.

The teachers were really top-notch, and we had a nice mix of different teaching styles. They made us feel welcome and safe, and took care of everyone’s needs. The course had a good mix of yoga styles and workshops, and definitely prepared us well for teaching. I also had plenty of chances to work on my own practice.

The anatomy and philosophy lessons were taught well and offered a different perspective on yoga beyond just the physical aspect. The food at the nearby restaurant was surprisingly good, with a nice variety and accommodating staff who even catered to dietary requirements.

Overall, my experience with YogaUnion was incredible, and I’m forever grateful for such a rewarding time.

Sometimes, we found the food a bit boring, but you can easily go down the street and buy something on those days. The schedule for the last few weeks seemed a bit disorganized, but it still turned out fine. I wish we had more practice teaching time, but I think the other group had plenty, so I guess it depends on your teacher (ours was still great). The accommodation was much nicer than we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The teachers were all awesome and very understanding and accommodating of our injuries and other issues. 1) The food at the Mansion got pretty repetitive – lots of vegetables (watch out, meat lovers!). But breakfast was amazing! They had the best spread of food.

    2) The course can get quite intense (no surprise!) By the second week, lots of people were burning out or falling ill. The course should be intense, but I think we could have done a better job pacing ourselves. Our group got unlucky with our break days messed up, so we had 9 days straight of practice in the second week, which caused exhaustion. However, the instructors were very supportive and allowed us to take breaks when needed, which we really appreciated! Going into this trip without expectations, I was blown away by the experience.

    1) The course is really demanding – you learn about yoga holistically through 3 main classes: asana alignment, philosophy, and anatomy. You gain a better understanding of the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of yoga. The course also covers pranayama, meditation, and teaching practice. We had to prepare a class almost every day, with the lesson length increasing as the course progressed.

    2) In terms of accommodation (likely won’t happen to your group), we couldn’t practice at the regular shala and were relocated to the Mansion Hotel in Ubud, which was a nice resort. I shared a family suite with another person.

    3) One of the best things about the course is the community you form. I met people of different ages from all over the world, but our shared open-mindedness towards learning and growing made our differences insignificant. I made amazing friends on this course, and even after it ended, people hung out in Bali or visited each other’s countries. I would recommend extending your stay in Bali to spend more time with new friends.

Unfortunately, the school had to change the location due to conditions beyond their control. I was really looking forward to coming to Ubud and staying in the rice fields, being surrounded by nature since I live in Dubai. Instead, we ended up staying at the Mansion hotel. Don’t get me wrong, it was a beautiful hotel and we were treated very well, but I came for a nature and yoga experience.

On the bright side, I did get to visit Yoga Union’s shala, which was absolutely breathtaking! It was the most beautiful shala I have ever seen, nestled in the midst of the rice fields. I was impressed by the teachers and the overall experience was incredible, helping me on my journey to becoming a yoga teacher. The lessons were fun, interactive, and full of exciting challenges. The food was maybe a bit repetitive, but still delicious. That’s the only fault I could find! Everything else was great. I really enjoyed the growth I experienced mentally, physically, and spiritually. The teachers were incredibly supportive and I know they will continue to be in the future. The amount of anatomy we covered made me feel confident in my teaching abilities moving forward in life, which isn’t something I’ve heard about in other courses. I couldn’t find fault with any of it.

The program in Bali had a few minor issues due to its newness. It would have been easier to pay the remaining amount with a service like PayPal. The accommodations were decent, but some guesthouses were nicer than others despite costing the same. The restaurant where we dined was lovely and the staff was friendly, but the menu was repetitive until we asked for a change. These were small issues, but I would still wholeheartedly recommend this yoga training. I absolutely loved the experience. The teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and embodied Yogi philosophies. The daily vinyasa classes were creatively unique, making it hard to find comparable classes at home. I gained so much valuable knowledge from the program and felt fully prepared to teach my own classes.

The food could have been tastier. Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner lacked flavor. However, there are plenty of affordable options nearby for both meals if you want to mix things up during the 3 weeks. The teachers shared their knowledge with enthusiasm, the yoga shala was nestled in the rice fields, and the group’s positive energy made the training a fantastic experience.

Come in ready to focus on your studies instead of treating this like a vacation. This course will require a lot of homework, studying, and preparation. Sundays are free, but you’ll be pretty busy throughout the week. It’s an intense 3 weeks, but it’s totally worth it in the end. If you want to explore Bali more, just extend your trip a few extra days or weeks. I absolutely loved every part of the experience, despite the ups and downs.

The course is structured really well. You begin teaching small lessons in the first week, which can be intimidating at first, but by the end of 2.5 weeks, you’ll feel confident teaching your final 30-minute class. You’ll also dive into philosophy, anatomy, and meditation, and be tested on all of it. This might seem overwhelming, but it truly helps you become a well-rounded yoga teacher. In the afternoons, you’ll explore different yoga styles, and every morning starts with a Vinyasa Flow class. The classes are well-designed, suitable for all levels, and you’ll definitely see improvement in your own practice.

The teachers are incredible, always there to support you whether it’s yoga-related or personal. You’ll never feel alone!

Just a heads up about the accommodation: you’re in Bali, so expect to see bugs. The bungalows are pretty open, but you’ll get used to it. Just pack some bug spray and long pants.

As for the food, it’s delicious, healthy, and served three times a day at the same restaurants. So don’t be surprised if you see some familiar dishes. You can always try other places too if you’d like!

I didn’t like the location of the accommodation. The house was extremely remote (not near the beach and no significant view), there were no public transportation, no shop for hygiene products, etc., and the beach was not accessible by foot. If we hadn’t rented a car, we wouldn’t have seen anything of the beautiful peninsula. Also, my room was in the same house as the yoga classes, dining area, communal space, etc. That wasn’t ideal for me personally because it was always pretty loud and I couldn’t find a quiet place to retreat to, and I spent the whole day going up and down the stairs in the same house. However, the yoga classes were top-notch professional – the teachers were all very passionate and dedicated, with excellent knowledge. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and I’m really happy.

I found it a bit difficult to live in the same house where the courses took place with three other girls. The schedule became more demanding and sleep was hard to come by, so I needed every break for rest or study. The house was always full of people, making it hard to relax. It felt claustrophobic and a bit like being in prison. Renting a car to escape to the beach or town during breaks was a nice change. The food caused some stomach issues, but I managed by eating out occasionally. Despite these challenges, the experience was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by the passion and skills of the teachers. It was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. I learned a lot, had fun, saw beautiful places, and grew as a person. I highly recommend it. The teachers were great, and I enjoyed learning from different experts in yoga, anatomy, and philosophy. The setting was beautiful, and I made lasting friendships. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I only didn’t like that it had to end. I’m missing the classes so much already and it’s only been a week! I highly recommend Yoga Union to anyone looking to become a yoga teacher or deepen their practice. Even before I got to the training, I could feel the warmth of the teachers through our correspondence. I had been very unwell before, and wasn’t sure if I could handle the training. But Yoga Union gave me the space and support I needed to decide to attend, which turned out to be the best decision ever!

The training exceeded my expectations. From day one, we dove into challenging vinyasa classes and started learning right away. I enjoyed the variety of teachers, from Ourania’s special vinyasa classes to Sarah’s yin, Spyros’ Hatha, and Tony’s restorative classes. The yin classes were a perfect balance to the vinyasa practice, especially as our bodies grew tired. The days were long and the practice was tough, so make sure you’re ready before you begin.

The theory lessons were thorough, and we started teaching right away, which was the best way to learn. It helped us develop our teaching style and boosted my confidence. I recommend reading the course books before you arrive to give yourself a solid foundation of knowledge that will help you throughout the course.

The organisation of the training could be improved professionally. Here are a couple of things that would really enhance the quality of the training:
    – Make sure students use the recommended books by assigning chapters to read before class. Some students bought the books but never used them.
    – Provide a detailed schedule of the 3 weeks on the first day at the introduction dinner. For those who can’t make it, make sure they have a schedule in their room when they arrive so everything is clear.
    – Ensure the accommodation description is accurate. Incorrect expectations can lead to disappointment.
    – Avoid speaking negatively about previous students as it can make current students feel uneasy.
    – Review every student in the same way during the teaching exam, giving equal attention. It wasn’t fair when some students received more attention than others.
The teachers were very passionate and knowledgeable, providing valuable insight into alignment, the human body, philosophy, and asanas. The days were structured well, starting with meditation and a great yoga class by Ourania. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh fruits and delicious porridge. I learned a lot from the asana classes and enjoyed the philosophy lessons with Coralia. The anatomy classes were a bit disorganized, but I still learned a lot about how the body functions in yoga. It was a challenging but rewarding experience with 29 other students. The first week was tough on the body, but by weeks two and three, I felt more comfortable. Overall, it was a good personal experience with some suggestions for improvement in future training sessions.

I don’t see any negatives for me. If I could wish for anything, it would be that all the participants stay in the same place. But that wasn’t a problem because we got to see all those amazing places in the rice fields. What I loved about this teacher training is that it: a. Helps you grow as a person, both practically and spiritually. It really makes you look deep inside yourself. b. Puts a big focus on teaching – you’re teaching from week 1, which helps you feel confident by the end. c. The location, the people, the food, and the teachers made it all feel like a magical experience that makes you smile every day.

Firstly, they advertised the course as having a maximum of 15 people, but there were actually 35. It was frustrating because I didn’t receive any constructive feedback for over two weeks due to the high number of students compared to teachers.

The Anatomy and Philosophy classes were very unstructured and difficult to understand. It wasn’t because of the content, but because of how the lessons were managed and communicated. We were discouraged from taking notes and didn’t receive relevant handouts to follow along with. The Teacher Training manual was poorly printed and had to be reprinted.

We were told that all texts would be included in the training, but many of us ended up buying an additional text that was really helpful for the Anatomy section.

During our practice teaching, both teachers seemed distracted and didn’t provide solid constructive criticism. They would often walk in and out of our lessons or be on their phones, even when we were being assessed.

I wish there had been a more supportive learning environment because it felt like it was easy to get left behind. The setting was amazing, with beautiful rice fields to walk past each day. The actual yoga classes were fantastic, with both teachers being passionate and clear in their Vinyassa instructions. They were great at giving detailed feedback and making adjustments when asked.

The food was incredible, with a great vegan selection. It would have been nice to have more protein options besides soy products.

I booked last and was told I’d be the 16th person, but clearly that wasn’t the case. It seems like they were booking girls even a week before the class, which seems very unprofessional to me. The main problem I had was that it was disorganised. Sometimes we didn’t know which location we would be at the next morning and had to wander around until we found our teachers. I didn’t like that there was no plan for the three weeks in advance, we only found out a few days ahead. I know the teachers wanted to keep some flexibility, but with a plan, changes can still be made if necessary and students can plan their personal time without stress.

I never got the Shatkarma kit that was promised and had to specifically request the included massage. Neither were mentioned or offered from the beginning.

In short, I think their teaching is excellent and I learned a lot, but they need to hire someone for administration to ease their workload. What I learned was effective and all came up in the exam. Our teachers had vast knowledge and shared personal experiences which helped us understand adjustments in asanas, teaching techniques, and the value of our professional work. They were open to questions at all times and never made us feel like a burden. Ourania and Koralia had contrasting personalities, giving us a well-rounded view of the topics they taught.

The location in Ubud amidst picturesque padi/rice fields was perfect. We had classes in two locations with stunning views and provided equipment like pillows and blocks. I stayed at Gusti Garden, which was basic but comfortable. The WiFi was better there and the owner was always friendly and helpful. The complimentary umbrellas were a nice touch. Those on the course stayed at various guest houses along Sok Wayah.

The food at Prashanti was delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I wouldn’t call it fully macrobiotic as advertised. It was more like vegan Indonesian style.

I had an amazing time with supportive, like-minded students who I now consider friends.

They didn’t organize anything as promised. Classes were all over the place, with me living in one location and having meals in another. It was confusing and chaotic, with a lot of last-minute changes. The instructors were amazing, but the way they taught anatomy seemed like they were just making it up on the spot. I couldn’t believe they had run a ttc before, let alone for 8 years in a row. It felt like their first time.

I was stressed out, worrying about failing and feeling far from zen. Despite the instructors’ efforts to improve, the vibe wasn’t great. But hopefully, the next one will be better. Despite everything, I still enjoyed it! The location in the rice fields was beautiful, even if I wasn’t staying at Prashanti. Ubud is amazing, and Bali stole my heart!

The structure and organization of the program need some serious improvement. An assistant could have made a big difference. Things were mishandled, and many students got upset. When we were asked for our feedback, the teachers got defensive and dismissive.

The website said the maximum was 15 students, but there were actually 35. We were assured it wouldn’t make a difference, but I believe it did. I didn’t receive enough guidance or support, and I often felt lost and ignored. It seemed like certain students got more attention than others.

I was promised a specific accommodation but ended up in a much less nice one. The online price for that accommodation was half of what I paid. I expected to be compensated for the downgrade, but that didn’t happen. The mold in my room gave me a sore throat and runny nose throughout the training, and my favorite luggage got covered in mold. When I tried to speak up, I felt completely dismissed.

The practice space was beautiful, and I learned a lot, including different types of yoga. The teachers were knowledgeable but not very organized. I made some amazing friends during the training.
