Yin yoga balances the strong and heated yang practices such as Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, or Vinyasa flow by embracing stillness, steadiness, and calmness. It harnesses the soothing energy of the moon, promoting coolness and tranquility within the body and mind. This passive and meditative yoga style involves holding poses for one to ten minutes, allowing for deep access to the yin tissues like joints and fascia.
This course counts as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only. You can add the 50 hours of this course to your continuous education hours. The stillness of the body experienced in this yoga practice creates stillness of the mind and ultimately helps you realize your true nature. The Yin yoga training is a six-day course, and participants of Anandam Yoga School will work together for about 8-10 hours every day.
In this course, you will become familiar with the concept of Yin yoga, a complementary practice to all Yang yoga styles. It is highly recommended, especially for those of you who practice Ashtanga Vinyasa, to balance your yin and yang energy.
After completing this Yin yoga course, you will be able to practice and teach 26 Yin asanas with variations and modifications. Participants have different bodies and enter poses in different ways. Therefore, the use of props like blocks, bolsters, cushions, and blankets is an important element of a safe and effective Yin yoga practice.
In the asana alignment lab, we will break down the postural alignment of the postures. You will be taught verbal and hands-on adjustments to guide your students safely through your classes.
We will teach you the fundamentals of Yin yoga, its origin, development, and benefits. We will help you understand the differences between Yang and Yin yoga, as well as yin and yang tissues.
In this 50-hour Yin yoga training in Bali, we will introduce you to the meridian system and how certain poses can improve the function of different organs in your body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the meridian system includes the following organs: Lungs, Large intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small intestine, Urinary bladder, Kidney, Pericardium, Triple warmer, Gall bladder, and Liver.
In the yogic anatomy classes of the Yin yoga course in Bali, we will teach you the concepts of nadis, prana koshas, pancha koshas, and sariras.
In the anatomy and physiology lectures of the Yin yoga training in Bali, you will learn the difference between stress and stretch, why Yin yoga is important for spinal health, and the significance of fascia and the connective tissues.
In the teaching methodology sessions of this 50-hour Yin yoga teacher training in Bali, you will understand how to give the right instructions, maintain effective communication, provide proper alignment of postures, modify poses, use props for modifications and injury prevention, prepare Yin classes, sequence and teach effectively, and be mindful while teaching.

November 26, 2023 at 12:00 amThe bathrooms in the hostel weren’t the cleanest, but hey, it’s a hostel, so I guess that’s what you can expect. The course was absolutely amazing. Sandeep and Katharina teach with such passion and have an incredible amount of knowledge about yoga history, philosophy, and the body. I learned so much in those three weeks, it felt like a whole semester at uni, haha! The schedule was pretty intense, but it was always a blast and the days flew by.
Overall, it was such a fantastic experience with the most incredible people and vibes. The teacher training was awesome, I seriously have nothing negative to say. The accommodation is truly special, like a little oasis in Canggu.

October 25, 2023 at 12:00 amSometimes the serenity house can get noisy due to street noises, depending on the room. Just want to let you know. But other than that, it’s a super tropical, friendly, and comfortable place. The foundations of yoga, including the asanas, anatomy classes, and yogic philosophy, were absolutely amazing! I really loved how everything was designed – the program itself, the teaching methodology, and the opportunity to create our own class in either hatha, hatha flow, or vinyasa flow. The manual provided was very detailed and beautifully illustrated. And let’s not forget the delicious vegan breakfasts – they were absolutely outstanding! Overall, it was such a unique and inspiring experience. Thank you so much for your wonderful teaching and for sharing your knowledge!

October 23, 2023 at 12:00 amI’d suggest having extra mosquito protection in the rooms. The yoga classes were structured rigorously, blending traditional and modern teachings. They didn’t just focus on the asanas, but also helped us gain a deeper understanding of the practice and supported our personal growth throughout the three weeks.
Our teachers were amazing! They were highly knowledgeable and always there for open and honest conversations. They provided emotional support and were always available whenever we needed them. They had a friendly attitude and took the time to know each one of us individually.
The classes were suitable for all levels, and I highly recommend this yoga school to anyone who wants to expand their understanding of Yoga as a whole.
A big thank you to the teachers who dedicated their time!

September 25, 2023 at 12:00 amI really loved the energy that Sandeep and Katerina brought to the course. They were so genuine, warm, intelligent, and passionate about sharing their knowledge of yoga history and anatomy. I learned a ton in such a short time because they made it so fun and interesting.
I searched for a while to find the right course, and this one just felt right in my gut. And when I arrived, I knew I was right. Sandeep and Katerina are real individuals, and the classes are small, so you get a personalized experience. It was definitely long hours, but completely worth it!
I had the most amazing experience with Anandam. I already miss them and all the incredible yogis I met during the course.
It was such a joy to see everyone complete their first class and finish the course together.
If you’re looking for an authentic experience, learning traditional yoga from an Indian and getting insights into science and nutrition from a nutritionist and scientist, you seriously don’t need to search any further.
We stayed at Serenity Eco, where they had amazing vegan food and drinks. The breakfast they provided was also delicious. Anandam rents out a shala for the course, and it fits perfectly with their health and wellness approach. In the end, I came for the course, not for a retreat holiday.
Some days, we went down the road to the bakery called Fold. The housing was a bit rustic, but I was hardly ever in my room. The pool, grounds, and garden were so beautiful! It’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach for sunrise, and getting around with a gojek was super easy if needed.

September 17, 2023 at 12:00 amThanks to both Sandeep and Katherina, this training was an amazing opportunity for those eager to deepen their Yoga practice, especially with traditional Indian style. I can’t wait to attend more training sessions with them in the future!
Katherina and Sandeep guided the Yoga teacher training, making it a truly enlightening journey. They paid careful attention to each participant, pushing us to grow and supporting us along the way. Sandeep’s sessions on Hatha Yoga were particularly impressive, challenging us in a way that was both demanding and captivating, taking our practice to new levels.
And let’s not forget about the food! The meals we had every day were not only delicious but also packed with flavor and nutrition. It felt like each bite was made with love and purpose, providing us with the perfect fuel for our intense training days.
The location of our training in Heimbach was a dream. Surrounded by a serene landscape, it created the perfect atmosphere for learning, self-reflection, and personal growth.
One of the most memorable moments was the ethereal fire ceremony. It wasn’t just a simple ritual; it was a profound experience that brought us all together and transformed us. It’s a memory that I will always hold dear.
Thank you again, Sandeep and Katherina, for an incredible training experience!
