I love how yoga teacher training challenges me and allows me to fully immerse myself in the journey. Being surrounded by a group of wonderful people also adds to the experience.
Helpful ReviewI loved the seminar! It was such a memorable and unique experience that I will always cherish.
I got to meet so many positive people in a beautiful location and the food was absolutely amazing! The teachers were the best, especially Himanshu Bahuguna. He has such a strong passion for Yoga and Teaching that it shines through every second of the training. It was truly a gift to be able to train with him in Europe.
Faye Balomenou was also incredible. She provided us with so much support and motivation throughout the training, pushing us to be the best versions of ourselves. Her knowledge in Yoga Philosophy was outstanding and I had the most amazing Yoga Nidra experience ever at the Palairos seminar with Faye.
I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! Don’t hesitate to book it. I’m already eagerly looking forward to the 300-hour training.
Namaste.
Helpful ReviewThe overall training (the theoretical content, the practice, the workshops, etc.) was great. The yoga sessions, the explanations, the adjustments, the dynamism and energy from the teachers were amazing.
A huge thank you to the hosts (an incredible team taking care of everything) who were outstanding in their hospitality and kindness!
The interactions with the diverse participants from all over the world were very enriching.
They did a great job organizing everything for a smooth and enjoyable stay!
Le lieu, les profs, les cours, c’était vraiment génial.
Helpful ReviewFrom day 1, Himanshu and Faye have made this journey unforgettable for us. They have covered all the practical aspects, theory, and provided extra support whenever needed.
Spryos has a true passion for anatomy, making it easy and enjoyable for us to grasp the information. He continues to support us even after the training.
Our three teachers together create a complete and enriching training experience.
If you ever feel unprepared before or after the training, rest assured that they will take care of all your worries.
The sense of family and support here is amazing. We are all here for the same reason and genuinely want each other to succeed in our yoga practices. Sharing this journey with such incredible people fills you with joy.
Lastly, the staff members here are wonderful. They are kind, generous, hardworking, and always prioritize our comfort.
In conclusion, if you have any interest in yoga, this is an experience you won’t regret.
Helpful ReviewThe Anatomy was taught in a very scattered manner and lacked discussion on how it relates to different poses in yoga. It would be better if we could have the exam right after the lecture so that we can use it for training. Himanshu’s teaching of Pranayama, Flow, and alignment was excellent.
Helpful ReviewI got so much more than I expected from this training. Our teachers, Faye, Ippoliti, and Spyros, are incredibly passionate about what they do. They can easily share their knowledge and love for yoga in a straightforward, detailed, and sometimes really fun manner. The teachers and hotel staff were always there to help with any concerns or questions throughout my stay at Kosta Maria. These three weeks of training are intense, but believe me, you won’t regret choosing this if you want to learn and deepen your yoga practice. You’ll learn so many new things during this time and realize just how far you can push yourself. Plus, it’s an amazing opportunity to meet people from all around the world and take your practice to the next level together!
Helpful ReviewI suggest that the groups should have different age options, specifically I would have preferred a group of people who are 30 and above. This training introduced me to the beautiful world of yoga in such a fantastic way. The location we stayed at was a small family-owned hotel, and it truly felt like home in every way. The food was always fresh and delicious, and the staff treated us like family, always showing us love and being so helpful. The markets were a little far, but when I needed groceries, one of the staff members named Stella took me there.
The training itself was intense both physically and spiritually, and there were moments where we all broke down emotionally. However, our incredible instructors were there to support us and help us grow each day. Faye and Ippo, our instructors, were perfect in their own unique ways. Faye’s alignment classes and Ippo’s pranayama classes were unlike anything I’ve experienced before. And even though we didn’t have as much time with our anatomy instructor Sypros, he was also an exceptional person who had a true passion for anatomy and motivated us in many ways.
All in all, this was an incredible experience for me personally. And I highly recommend it to anyone who has love, dedication, and time for yoga. ???
Helpful ReviewI completed my 200h vinyasa teacher training with YogaUnion in June 2023 in Ubud, Bali, and it completely transformed my life. The experience was truly amazing, and I had the opportunity to learn everything I wanted to know about yoga from an incredible group of teachers.
Not only did I gain knowledge about the practice of yoga, but I also formed meaningful connections with fellow students from all over the world. This training allowed me to explore myself on a whole new level, a level I never could have imagined.
I have to give a special shout out to my lead teacher, Himanshu. He’s hands down the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had. Himanshu possesses an incredible amount of knowledge about every aspect of yoga, from asanas to pranayama and philosophies. He also has extensive experience working with students of different backgrounds and skill levels.
Not only is Himanshu an exceptional teacher, but he is also incredibly passionate about what he does. He’s always willing to go above and beyond to help his students in any way possible. And I’m not the only one who feels this way about Himanshu. Many of my classmates share the same admiration and appreciation for him. He truly is the heart and soul of this training.
We need more teachers like Himanshu in this world!
Helpful ReviewI was completely blown away by this 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Paleros. It exceeded all my expectations and truly offered so much more than I could have imagined. Faye Balomenou, our instructor, has such a contagious enthusiasm for yoga and she was eager to share her vast knowledge with us. She made sure we were able to absorb as much as we could handle.
The alignment classes were incredibly thorough and precise. It was evident that Faye had a ton of experience and confidence in her teaching and adjusting techniques. The practices were intense and incredibly motivating. The perfect combination of challenge and inspiration.
Eleni Chantzara, our colleague, perfectly complemented Faye. Her teachings in Pranayama and various workshops were incredibly thoughtful and valuable. Her flows were beautiful and she emitted such a gentle, calming energy.
The anatomy classes with Spyros Kapitsinos were like no other. They were original and captivating, keeping us engaged even after long and tiring practices. His knowledge in this subject is vast and he really aims to empower his students in their own yoga practices and teachings by educating them about anatomy.
The hotel where the training took place was in a stunning location, just a half hour walk outside of Paleros town. It even had its own private beach, just a few steps down some stairs. And if you didn’t feel like walking, there was also a pool. The views of the sea and mountains were breathtaking no matter where you looked. The practice spaces, both the upper and lower Shalas, created such a wonderful atmosphere for our practices.
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were impeccably clean, and the food was fresh, varied, and oh-so-tasty. It was mostly a healthy, vegetarian spin on Greek dishes, although some may find it a bit heavy.
All in all, I cannot recommend this experience enough. It was truly a transformative and unforgettable journey.
Helpful ReviewThe food tasted amazing! I do have a few recommendations though. It would be great if there was more variety in the choice of cereal and fruit in the morning. Personally, I prefer the porridge to be a bit thicker, more like a stew than a soup. Also, it would be nice to replace the stuffed bell peppers and tomatoes with another dish.
I have to say, this yoga teacher training went beyond my expectations. The teachers were absolutely incredible. They shared their knowledge with so much dedication and passion that you can feel the essence of yoga in your body, mind, and soul. It’s truly an amazing feeling. I came home feeling completely myself and inspired to continue my own practice and teach others, which I didn’t expect after just three weeks.
Of course, there were ups and downs throughout the journey, both physically and mentally. We were pushed to our limits to understand our capabilities and ultimately blossom, just like every woman in the program. Fay, our teacher, is like a diamond with so many different ways of teaching. She can be critical when necessary to help us truly understand what we’re doing, but also has a great sense of humor that had us laughing like crazy.
Eleni, another one of our teachers, is a precious soul. Her presentations on breathing and meditation were so captivating and made the techniques easy to understand. And her yoga flows were both challenging and enjoyable.
Spyros made the anatomy class interesting and logical by incorporating humor. Surprisingly, I was able to retain the important topics for the exam easily.
The KostaMaria Family and staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and the rooms were spotless. And let me tell you, just 106 steps and you can take a dip in the crystal clear water with an incredible view. So go for it!
Helpful ReviewSince the meals were vegetarian, we ate a lot of tempeh. Afterwards, the meals got a little repetitive after a week. The atmosphere during both practical and theoretical classes. The wonderful people we met. The beautiful neighborhood.
Helpful ReviewI recommend bringing your own yoga mat or a travel version to put on top of the existing yoga mats. During my training, we practiced in the Earth shala of YogaUnion, which was located in the beautiful rice fields of Ubud. The shala was conveniently situated just 2 meters away from my accommodation. Although there was no pool at the shala, we were able to use the pools at other places where some of the other participants stayed.
For meals, we ate at a restaurant that was only a 3-minute walk away. The area also had some great spas and cafes, offering something different every day. While it may not have suited everyone’s taste, the buffet always had something delicious to offer.
Gourav was my main teacher and he had extensive knowledge about yoga, pranayama, and proper alignment in asanas. He will thoroughly prepare you for becoming a yoga teacher. I also want to mention Menik, our anatomy teacher, who was absolutely amazing. She expertly answered all of our questions and connected the anatomy information with yoga poses.
Laila, our philosophy teacher, had a unique energy and a soothing voice. She also offers a 50-hour yin yoga teacher training.
During our training, we had a variety of yoga classes such as yin, restorative, acro, ashtanga, and nidra, but our focus was mainly on vinyasa. The classes were more intermediate level, but you will learn and grow stronger each day.
In our group, we had 19 lovely participants who made the training enjoyable and created a truly special experience. I highly recommend it!
Helpful ReviewThe atmosphere, the setting, the kindness, the encouragement to always try and give it your all! Himanshu’s super precise advice will remain invaluable and thank you all for your incredible energy.
Helpful ReviewThe food might have been a bit greasy for a yoga retreat, although it was really good! We could have had more time for the anatomy classes, which could have been great. Our Vinyasa teacher is extraordinary, both demanding and filled with a special gentleness. The yin, nidra, and restorative classes were also amazing! They emitted a lot of gentleness.
Helpful ReviewThanks, YogaUnion, for taking me and 11 gals on an unforgettable adventure. This place is truly amazing for learning, growing, and pushing yourself.
Eleni, Ipo, and Spyros created a safe environment that pushed us to exceed our limits. I loved how they were so critical of us, all in the name of improving and deepening our practice.
Helpful ReviewI enjoyed everything about it, but sometimes the restaurant was too crowded and they always ran out of food. It was a bit disappointing. However, what really stood out to me was how well everyone took care of us. Himanshu, in particular, was amazing with his knowledge. Despite having to manage 30 of us, he still found the time to care for and teach each and every one of us.
Laila was an incredible source of motivation and love. She really inspired me and filled my soul with love.
Fabien was always there for me during the training. He helped correct me numerous times, and I’m so grateful that he was there with me throughout. Sometimes, he would give me a supportive look and say, “You can do it, Sherin!” It meant the world to me.
Lastly, Luca was like a ray of sunshine in our group. He was always there for us, even when we had personal problems. He acted as our emotional protector, and his smile and positive energy helped us feel supported and never alone.
Helpful ReviewThe location, facilities, and organization were amazing.
Helpful ReviewThe food was decent, with breakfast being particularly delicious, but the other meals were just alright. They weren’t bad, just not amazing 🙂 However, everything else was absolutely incredible! The instruction, the course structure, the fellow students, the staff, the facility, the energy, the learning experience, the fun activities, and the ceremonies—all of it was amazing. It’s safe to say that these three weeks have completely changed my life.
Helpful ReviewI stayed at Gustis Garden water Shala and the rooms were filled with mold and my belongings (clothes and shoes) were ruined. The accommodation was too expensive for what I got. Luckily, I brought my own yoga mat because the mats and bolsters provided were stained and dirty. They smelled awful!
The Wi-Fi was incredibly weak and slow. However, the training itself was amazing and unforgettable. It felt like finding a second family. I’m so grateful to have had Himanshu Bahuguna as my mentor and trainer. Now that I’m a yoga teacher, I know the knowledge I gained from Himanshu will be invaluable throughout my career.
A friend recommended YogaUnion for my yoga teacher training, and I’m thrilled to have spent these three weeks with all the amazing individuals at YogaUnion. Thank you so much for your professionalism, kindness, and open-mindedness. I’ve learned so much from all of you, and this journey has truly changed my life. I will definitely recommend YogaUnion to any friends interested in YTT, whether in Bali or Greece.
I’m eagerly looking forward to the 300-hour YTT next year with YogaUnion, and I’ll be sure to follow Himanshu wherever he teaches. Thank you all and hopefully, I’ll see you soon! ?????
Helpful ReviewUnfortunately, I had some uncomfortable experiences with the location. The place didn’t match what I had seen in the videos and photos on the site for the past 5 years (specifically the rice fields). I had thought it was a new venue, but it wasn’t clear to us that it was another venue used when the first one was fully booked. It would be nice in the future if they could inform us that there are 3 venues and give us the option to choose a specific one, like the rice fields instead of Down Rabbit Hole.
I also had a problem with my privacy due to a neighbor, but thankfully Ourania, the owner of Yoga Union, was very considerate and she is making sure that this kind of inconvenience doesn’t happen again in the future.
Other than that, the place is nice, the bedrooms are new, and the staff are very friendly, especially the instructors. They all have a high level of knowledge and a good attitude. They always asked us if we had any questions and made sure we had all the information we needed.
I also want to thank Marina and Anna Viktoria, you guys gave us amazing classes with kindness, love, and enthusiasm. You will always be in my heart! And a big thank you to Gourav and Laila, you guys are amazing and very talented teachers. Lastly, I want to thank Menik, my amazing anatomy teacher. You made us love fascia and tendons, haha.
Helpful ReviewI loved everything about my experience with YogaUnion. The support team was always there to help whenever other students had issues. They were quick to jump in and offer assistance. I can’t thank them enough for the life-changing journeys I went through because of YogaUnion.
Completing my 200hr and 300hr in vinyasa yoga was amazing, and the 50hr yin TTC was the perfect addition. The teacher was incredibly knowledgeable and inspiring. They had a unique energy that made me feel supported and taken care of. I’ve learned so much about life, myself, and others through yoga. The Yin TTC allowed me to dive deep within myself, quiet my racing thoughts, and discover my true self while embracing my authenticity.
I’m already excited for the next trainings that YogaUnion will create and host. I can’t wait to continue growing with them. Thank you again, YogaUnion! Thank you to the fantastic teachers and support team for reminding us all of what truly matters in life. Keep up the amazing work and spread even more love and kindness in the world!
Helpful ReviewPeople with different levels of yoga experience may not get the most benefit from training because instructors are forced to slow down their teaching. This could also be a problem in other yoga teacher training programs.
I don’t find sessions like Kriya and the Cacao ceremony to be relevant. I prefer yoga workshops that focus on skills that will directly impact my practice and teaching. It’s important to have instructors who are knowledgeable and patient.
The accommodations are excellent and the meals are delicious. The staff members are incredibly sweet and friendly. The yoga workshops are also excellent. The location is convenient, being close to Ubud center. The yoga shala is intimate, clean, and well-maintained.
Helpful ReviewThe Teacher Training was beyond my expectations. Although I was fairly new to Yoga, I must admit, the tight and packed schedule could be challenging at times. However, it was amazing to witness my gradual growth in both my yoga practice and personal development.
Yoga is so much more than just physical exercise. Through our Philosophy classes, I began incorporating the Yogic lifestyle into my everyday life off the mat.
My accommodation in the rice fields was absolutely wonderful and clean. It was only a few minutes away from the shala, where students were spread out in different guest houses amidst the beautiful rice fields. Plus, the food provided at the restaurant was incredibly delicious.
I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to delve deeper into Yoga, regardless of whether or not you plan on becoming a teacher at the end of the journey.
Helpful ReviewNothing can go wrong in a place like those rice fields. You’re surrounded by nature, with giant green leaves, amazing weather, and the delightful sounds of frogs, gekos, birds, and water – it’s like being in a perfect nature soundtrack.
The shala where we practiced was always well-maintained and clean. They took great care of us, especially considering I’m celiac – they made sure to cater to my dietary needs every time. They were also organized with the training schedule and meals. It’s a safe, cozy, and professional place.
I highly recommend it! ??♀️?
Helpful ReviewTanya had a holistic approach and was also our philosophy teacher. She had many years of experience in the yoga world around the globe. I found it very interesting to listen and learn from her. She brought a good balance to our classes.
Eleni was a great teacher with years of experience and she had explosive energy. She always gave clear instructions and explained the alignments well. We learned a lot from her and her classes were always fun! I will definitely miss having her as a teacher.
Helpful ReviewI think it would be nice to spend some more time on spirituality, reflections, and meditation. I really love teachers, they’re great, and the atmosphere in Ubud is excellent. The food is healthy and the staff is very friendly.
Helpful ReviewThe food got a little repetitive, but hey, you can always go out and eat when you feel like it.
I gotta say, the philosophy and anatomy teachers are amazing! I love them. They’re so knowledgeable, but I think they could be a little more prepared for some of the questions people ask.
Let me tell you, the people you meet at the YTT are just incredible. From the teachers to your “classmates,” even the restaurant and accommodation staff, everyone is awesome.
Our Vinyasa and alignment teacher, Gourav, is the bomb. He knows his stuff, cracks jokes, and attending his classes is always a pleasure.
You’re gonna learn so much, and everyone’s gonna be there to help you out and answer your questions.
Honestly, it was one of the most heartwarming and beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. There were definitely some tears shed in some of the classes (but in a good way), and I would totally recommend it! If I had the chance, I’d do it all over again tomorrow!

February 16, 2024 at 12:00 amI didn’t find anything. I really gave it some thought. I wish the course had been longer, giving us more time for discussions and delving deeper into philosophy as a group. The teacher was the standout for me! Their teaching style was so authentic and they were very knowledgeable. They patiently answered questions and approached students with a loving and supportive attitude. Teachers like that are hard to come by. The Shala and the location were fantastic. I was so pleased with the people I went through this experience with! The communication and organization were top-notch. I would definitely recommend this and I can’t wait to come back for YIN YTT level 2.

January 11, 2024 at 12:00 amThe place, the classes, the teachers, everything was fantastic. I learned a lot about yoga, both in practice and theory. I don’t speak English very well, but the teachers are there to answer all our questions, they are very available. However, if you don’t speak any English at all, this training is not for you, you need to have a minimum foundation. Otherwise, I 100% recommend this training!!

October 14, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved the Seminar! It was such a unique experience that I will never forget. Meeting all those positive people in such a beautiful location with incredible food and excellent teachers was just amazing!
Himanshu Bahuguna is an incredible instructor. His passion for Yoga and Teaching shines through every second of the training. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to train with him in Europe!
Faye Balomenou was also fantastic! She supported us throughout the training and motivated us to bring out the best in ourselves. Her knowledge in Yoga Philosophy was impressive, and I had the most incredible Yoga Nidra experience ever at the Palairos seminar with Faye!
I absolutely recommend it! Don’t hesitate to book it! I’m already eagerly looking forward to the 300h!

September 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThe way they taught The Anatomy was so scattered and they didn’t really discuss how it relates to different yoga poses. I think it would be better if they do the exam right after the lecture so we can use it in our training. But I have to say, Himanshu did an amazing job teaching Pranayama, Flow, and alignment.

September 19, 2023 at 12:00 amFrom day 1, both Himanshu and Faye made this journey one to never forget. They added practical aspects, theory, and extra support wherever needed.
Spryos, with his absolute passion for anatomy, made information intake easy and fun, and provided continued support afterwards.
Our three teachers combined create the most wholesome training experience.
If you ever feel unprepared before or worried about being prepared afterwards, they will dissolve all those concerns.
The community here is like a family, with everyone having the same goal of thriving in our practices. By the end of the training, you’ll be overjoyed to share this incredible journey with such amazing people.
Lastly, the staff here is kind, generous, hardworking, and always looking out for our comfort.
All I can say is, if you’re interested in yoga, you won’t regret being a part of this.

September 11, 2023 at 12:00 amI was pleasantly surprised by how much this training offered me. Our teachers, Faye, Ippoliti, and Spyros, are incredibly passionate about what they do. They are able to share their knowledge and love for yoga in a straightforward, detailed, and fun way. If I had any concerns, questions, or problems during my stay at Kosta Maria, all the teachers and hotel staff were extremely helpful. The three weeks of training are intense, but you won’t regret choosing to do it if you want to learn more and deepen your yoga practice. You’ll learn so many new things during this time and discover how far you can truly advance in your practice. Plus, it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet people from all over the world and grow together.

August 22, 2023 at 12:00 amI suggest that the groups should have different age options. Personally, I would have preferred a group with people who are 30 and above. This training truly opened up the beautiful world of yoga in all its glory. The location was carefully chosen – a cozy little hotel owned by a warm family. We felt right at home throughout our stay. The food was always fresh and delicious, and the staff treated us like one of their own, showering us with love and care. They were so helpful, even taking me to the market when I needed groceries.
The training itself was intense both physically and spiritually. We all had moments of emotional breakdown, but thanks to our incredible instructors, we were able to grow and overcome every day. Faye and Ippo, our beloved instructors, brought their own unique styles to the table – Faye’s alignment classes and Ippo’s pranayama classes were truly one of a kind. Even though we had limited time together, our anatomy instructor Sypros was also exceptional. His passion for anatomy shone through, and he motivated us in countless ways.
Overall, this experience was incredible for me on a personal level. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a love for yoga, dedication, and the time to commit to it. ???

July 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI completed my 200h vinyasa teacher training with YogaUnion in June 2023 in Ubud, Bali, and let me tell you, it was a life-changing experience. The training surpassed all my expectations and truly transformed me. The team of teachers was absolutely incredible, and they taught me everything I could have ever wanted to know about yoga.
Not only did I learn about yoga, but I also connected with amazing people from all corners of the world. It was a truly international experience and opened my eyes to new perspectives. Moreover, I had the opportunity to dive deep into my own self in ways I never thought possible.
I have to give a special shout out to my lead teacher, Himanshu. He is hands down the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had. His knowledge about all aspects of yoga, including asanas, pranayama, and philosophies, is truly impressive. He has years of experience working with students of all levels and backgrounds, making him extremely skilled at catering to different needs.
But it’s not just me who thinks this way. I know many of my classmates feel the same about Himanshu. He is the heart and soul of this training, and we’re lucky to have him. His passion for what he does is contagious, and he’s always there to support us in any way possible.
This world needs more teachers like Himanshu, and I’m confident that he will continue to inspire and guide countless others on their yoga journey.

July 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI was blown away by this 200 hour Vinyasa YTT in Paleros. It went above and beyond my expectations of what a 200 hour YTT could offer. Faye Balomenou is an incredible teacher who brings so much enthusiasm to her yoga classes. She’s eager to share all of her knowledge with her students. Her alignment classes were extensive and precise, and it’s clear that she’s experienced and confident in her teaching and adjusting. The practices were intense and motivating.
Eleni Chantzara is an excellent complement to Faye. Her teachings in Pranayama and various workshops are thoughtful and valuable. She also leads beautiful flows and has a gentle energy. Spyros Kapitsinos teaches captivating anatomy classes. Even after long and tiring practices, he manages to keep his students engaged. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and empowers his students with a deep understanding of their own anatomy.
The hotel is in a stunning location, just a half-hour walk outside of Paleros town. It has its own private beach, just a few staircases away. If you’re not up for walking, there’s also a pool. The views of the sea and mountains are breathtaking. The upper and lower Shala’s, combined with the scenery, create an amazing atmosphere to practice yoga in. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the food is fresh, varied, and delicious. They put a healthy, vegetarian spin on Greek dishes, though for some it may be a bit heavy. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

June 28, 2023 at 12:00 amThe food was really good and tasty, but I have some recommendations. It would be nice to have more variety in the cereal and fruit options in the morning. Personally, I prefer the porridge to be thicker, more like a stew than a soup. Also, instead of having stuffed bell peppers and tomatoes for the third time, it would be great to try a different dish.
I have to say, this yoga teacher training exceeded all my expectations. The teachers were absolutely amazing. They shared their knowledge with so much dedication and passion that you couldn’t help but feel yoga seep into your body, mind, and soul. It’s an incredible feeling. I came back home feeling like my true, authentic self and inspired to deepen my own practice and teach others, which I never expected after just three weeks.
However, reaching this point was sometimes a rollercoaster of physical and emotional states. We were pushed to our limits to learn our true capabilities and eventually blossom, just like every other woman in the program. Fay is like a diamond with so many different sides to her personality and teaching style. She’s critical when necessary to make sure we understand what we’re doing, but she also knows how to make us laugh. Eleni is such a precious soul that her presentation of breathing and meditation makes it incredibly tempting to learn. Her techniques are easy to grasp, and her yoga flows were both challenging and enjoyable. Spyros made anatomy class interesting and logical, using humor to help us remember important topics for the exam.
The KostaMaria Family and staff are absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious, and the rooms are always clean. Plus, you only have to climb 106 steps to reach the crystal-clear water with a breathtaking view. You should definitely give it a try!

June 27, 2023 at 12:00 amI recommend bringing your own yoga mat or a travel version to put over the existing yoga mats. The training took place in the Earth shala of YogaUnion in the rice fields of Ubud. The accommodation was conveniently located right next to the shala, just 2 meters away. Although there was no pool on-site, we were able to use the pools at other places where some of the other participants stayed.
The restaurant where we ate for each meal was only a 3 minute walk away. The area had some nice spas and cafes, with something different to offer every day. While not every meal may have suited everyone’s taste, there was always something delicious in the buffet.
My main teacher, Gourav, has a wealth of knowledge about yoga, pranayama, and alignment of the asanas. He excellently prepares you for becoming a yoga teacher. Even though our anatomy teacher is not listed, I want to mention Menik explicitly because she was an AMAZING teacher who could answer every single one of our questions. She linked the anatomy information with yoga poses.
Our philosophy teacher, Laila, has a really special energy and her soothing voice adds to the experience. She also offers the 50h yin yoga teacher training.
We had a mix of different yoga classes like yin, restorative, acro, ashtanga, nidra, but primarily focused on vinyasa. The level of the classes was more intermediate, but you learn and grow stronger each day.
Our group consisted of 19 lovely participants who made the training enjoyable and a truly special experience. I highly recommend it!

However, what I loved the most was how well everyone took care of us. Himanshu is incredible with his knowledge. Even though there were 30 of us, he managed to take care of and teach each one of us individually. Laila is such an inspiring and loving person. She motivated me and made my soul feel loved. Fabien was always there during the training, constantly correcting me and offering support. I’m so grateful to have had him by my side. Sometimes he would give me a look and say, “You can do it, Sherin.” It meant the world to me. Luca was like a ray of sunshine in our group. February 20, 2023 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, I had some uncomfortable experiences with the location. The videos and photos I saw on the site for the past 5 years (rice fields) did not match the actual place. It turns out there are actually 3 venues, and it wasn’t clear to us that this was another option when the first one was fully booked. In the future, it would be nice to be informed about the different venues so that we can choose a specific one, like the rice fields instead of down the rabbit hole.
I also had an issue with privacy due to a neighbor, but thankfully Ourania, the owner of Yoga Union, was very thoughtful and is working to ensure this inconvenience doesn’t happen again in the future.
Aside from those issues, the place itself is nice. The bedrooms are new, and the staff are very friendly, particularly the instructors. They all have a high level of knowledge and a good attitude. They always asked if we had any questions and made sure we had all the information we needed.
I want to give a special thank you to Marina and Anna Viktoria for their amazing classes filled with kindness, love, and enthusiasm. You will always have a place in my heart. I also want to thank Gourav and Laila for being amazing, high-level teachers. And a shoutout to Menik, my incredible anatomy teacher, who made us love fascia and tendons.

January 10, 2023 at 12:00 amPeople with different levels of yoga experience will be mixed together, so the more advanced individuals may not get as much benefit from the training because the instructors have to slow down their teaching. This issue could potentially be present in other yoga teacher training programs as well.
I personally find sessions like Kriya & Cacao ceremony to be irrelevant. I prefer yoga workshops that focus on skills that will have a direct impact on my practice and teaching. It’s important to have instructors who are knowledgeable and patient.
The accommodations provided are excellent, as are the meals. The staff members are incredibly kind and attentive. The yoga workshops are also top-notch.
Additionally, the location is great because it’s close to the center of Ubud. The yoga shala is intimate, clean, and well-maintained.

September 3, 2022 at 12:00 amIt didn’t quite meet my expectations. We were promised a different yoga teacher, as well as Himansu, but we didn’t receive it. I also signed up to do other styles of yoga, such as Tantra yoga, Yin yoga, and pregnancy yoga, in addition to Ashtanga and Vinyasa. However, apart from a one-off class, we weren’t fully educated on these different styles to be able to teach them in my own practice. The course focused on the asana and the mind, but it was missing soul and leadership skills. In our group, we had some challenging individuals who were quite rude and opinionated at times. For example, some would fall asleep in lessons or be on their phones during meditation. There was also no real leader to control and manage this behavior. It felt like the course was just a trial to see if they could do a 300-hour course. I would have been satisfied if I had been told this before booking, and if the price was lower. Additionally, the accommodation, food, and individual teachers were average.

August 5, 2022 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed the course and my time there, but there are a few small things I wanted to critique. Sometimes it was difficult to leave the hotel, but that’s mainly because of the infrastructure in Palairos. The food was good, and they did accommodate lactose-free/vegan diets, but the labeling and options were sometimes a bit strange. I think they just need to practice more and come up with a greater variety of dishes.
I wish we had more opportunities to practice our own sequences, but I understand that there wasn’t much time because we had so much to learn in a short period. It would have been better if the course was a couple of days longer, with less time spent on exams and more time dedicated to personal flows. However, I realize that may not be possible in real life, especially considering that even the other 200-hour courses I looked at were even shorter.
Not everything was always well-planned, and there were times when we didn’t receive information or got it late. But despite that, everything worked out in the end. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I’m grateful for the opportunity to embark on this yoga journey. The course was intense, as I expected, and I learned a lot. The staff at Kosta Maria were kind, and the location was beautiful.
Before the course, I had many expectations that were fulfilled. I wanted the training to be physically tough, and it really was. I also hoped to learn a holistic view of yoga, and there was a good variety of perspectives covered. It was as intense and focused as I anticipated, and although it was mentally challenging, I’m glad I chose to do it in a condensed time frame rather than over a year. I didn’t want it to be too spiritual, and they struck a nice balance by introducing us to the spiritual aspects without pressuring us into chanting or other practices. And most importantly, I wanted to understand myself better, and I truly do. I feel so grateful for all the knowledge I have gained.

July 28, 2022 at 12:00 amI didn’t like Gourrav, he was the only instructor that rubbed me the wrong way. He tried but his communication skills were seriously lacking. I don’t know if he couldn’t express himself properly or if he just wasn’t good at speaking. His Pranayam and vinyassa classes annoyed me because he kept using the same words over and over again. It was disappointing that he graded our final exams instead of Himanshu because his feedback was awful and didn’t match what happened in class. He’s really not up to par with the other instructors at Yoga Union!
The workshops on children’s yoga and prenatal yoga with Itta weren’t very helpful either. She’s a great person but not a good teacher. There was no structure in her classes, she just threw out random ideas. I would have preferred to learn more about yogic philosophy or have an ayurvedic clinician talk about doshas or yogic diets. We didn’t cover some chapters in our textbook and those classes would have been perfect for that.
But overall, I’m grateful for this experience! The teachers were passionate, knowledgeable, and really engaging. I learned so much about yogic philosophy, history, anatomy, and teaching methods. The shala was beautiful and I actually liked the large class size. We had two classes happening at the same time and we all had meals together, so I got to meet new people all the time. The Fire shala was definitely prettier than the Earth one, so I recommend asking to be in the Fire group. Everyone at Yoga Union was amazing, from the housekeepers to the cooks. The rice fields were a lovely place to live and practice. And let’s not forget the food – it was incredible! A perfect mix of Indonesian and global dishes. As a vegan, it couldn’t have been better.

July 27, 2022 at 12:00 amSometimes, we experienced some organizational hiccups. Communication about transportation and scheduling would occasionally be a bit disorganized or arrive late. We relied heavily on word-of-mouth information within the group, and if you weren’t using WhatsApp, you might miss out on important updates.
When booking, not everyone was informed that some people would be living off-campus. Personally, if I had known I would have to live off-campus, I wouldn’t have wanted to take the course.
In my opinion, there were moments when the instructors should have paid more attention to the students’ physical well-being. Not everyone was prepared for all the poses we attempted, and there were a few minor injuries.
During my stay, there were about 40 students split into two groups. My group had 21 students, but I was told that in some months, groups can be as large as 35 students. The size of our group was alright, but it definitely shouldn’t have been any bigger.
Personally, I would have appreciated a more comprehensive education on topics like anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, and especially philosophy. It’s important to note that this course was only meant to be an introduction to these subjects. The experiences varied greatly between the two groups, as much of it depended on the individual styles and teaching methods of the instructors. To sum it up, I believe there should have been better coordination between the teachers.
Having said all that, I had an amazing experience and would do it again! The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including anatomy, philosophy, alignment, and practical yoga. I enjoyed the holistic approach. We had more theoretical classes where we all sat on the floor, which was tiring at first. The combination of theory and practice was perfect for exploring and delving deeper into the concepts.
The quality of the teachers was good and appreciated by everyone. However, it was a surprise to find out which teachers would be there during the month of our stay, as their names were not provided upon booking.
The staff at Kosta Maria hotel were incredibly kind and accommodating. They were always ready to help and had a great sense of humor. You made my experience truly special! The food, scheduled meal times, and overall standards were excellent. The cleanliness was spotless, and my room had the most stunning view of the ocean.
Lastly, I was blown away by my fellow students. They were caring, kind, and always friendly. It was a pleasure to be around this community, as they were always willing to help whenever someone needed it.

July 27, 2022 at 12:00 amThe food could have been more varied and we ended up having the same few recipes over and over again. It was either too salty or too sweet for me personally, but I understand that taste is subjective. Before I signed up for the training, I spent a lot of time reading reviews from former students and I was skeptical because it sounded too good to be true. However, this training completely changed my life. I wasn’t completely sure about becoming a yoga teacher before, but now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Yoga brings me so much happiness and helps me connect with my true self.
We were fortunate enough to have a tight-knit group of students who were all kind and caring from the start. We spent three weeks in a loving and supportive environment where everyone felt safe to fully dedicate themselves to their practice. I made lifelong friends and feel incredibly lucky about it!
As for the teachers, Rachel and Ippoliti, they exceeded all expectations. I’ll remember their teachings and their personalities for the rest of my life. They didn’t just teach us what we needed to know for the exam, they also shared their experiences as yogis and human beings, inspiring me in many ways.
Before the training, I had only been introduced to asana and pranayama. But learning about philosophy, anatomy, and alignment helped me deepen my practice immensely. It feels like I have an entire ocean of knowledge about yoga in front of me, and a lifetime won’t be enough to learn even half of it.
A big thank you to Kostas and his family who also made this training extra special! Love.

July 26, 2022 at 12:00 amThe people in my training group were the main issue, not the training or the teachers. Many of them were judgmental and close-minded Westerners who only saw yoga as a workout and ignored the spiritual aspect. They were not open-minded or accepting, and there were cliques and gossip. I really wish we had embraced everyone and treated everyone equally in a larger group. Despite not enjoying it, I managed to tune it out. Maybe it was also because there were too many people in the Fire group. It would have been better if we had known in advance that there would be 30+ people in one group. Additionally, only the same dominant individuals kept asking questions during lessons, making it harder for quieter people to benefit from the lessons. So, it really depends on your personality; extroverted people might thrive more in this type of environment. I didn’t like the food either, especially the vegan option, as it left me feeling hungry since there wasn’t enough protein available. Some meals, either lunch or dinner, didn’t have any protein at all. The teachers and the training itself were amazing, though. Although we only learned how to plan 30-minute lessons, we can apply this knowledge to create 1-hour lessons, but we have to do it in our own time.

July 26, 2022 at 12:00 amThe training is amazing! The teachers are fantastic and have an exceptional level and way of organizing the training. They are always there and ready to help if anything goes wrong during the training. The setting is beautiful with a sea view during the courses. The beds are so comfortable, and we have air conditioning in the rooms. The hotel staff is like a family and they are adorable. And let’s not forget about the porridge, it’s simply amazing! Thank you for everything, this has been the best experience of my life!

July 1, 2022 at 12:00 amThere were too many students for the training session and the philosophy class could have been more organized. Also, they should have held the Alignment and Anatomy classes at a better location. Oh, and the food during the training was not great.

June 28, 2022 at 12:00 amMe and 6 other students out of a total of 30 chose to stay at a different place instead of the assigned accommodation. It was just a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk away, so it wasn’t a big deal for me. The only problem was that our daily transportation to the actual accommodation was often late, so sometimes we had to walk and ended up being late for class.
They advertised the training as Vinyasa/Ashtanga, but in my opinion, it was mostly focused on Vinyasa. Although they did cover other styles of yoga like Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Overall, my experience at YogaUnion was really great. The teachers, Ippoliti, Rachel, and Eleni, were all very knowledgeable and kind. The classes were informative, and the teachers were always available to answer questions. The accommodation staff were also caring and friendly. They always provided delicious food, and when I wasn’t feeling well, they took care of me and adjusted the food according to my needs. They checked up on me every day to make sure I was okay.

June 28, 2022 at 12:00 amThe entire experience felt militant and lacked the personal and spiritual vibe that was promised in the marketing. However, the owner of the main hotel, who prepared the daily meals for us students, was really warm and accommodating. The only downside was that the food options were limited and definitely needed more variety. That’s why we ended up eating off the property most of the time.

What I loved the most:
Helpful Review-The location: There’s a stunning shala surrounded by peaceful ricefields. It’s secluded but also conveniently close to Ubud city center, which was great for grabbing food and going shopping.
-The teachers: Fay, Himanshu, and Spyros are all phenomenal instructors. They really pushed us physically during vinyasa practice. And their sense of humor was so important in helping us remember the most important things. It was a lot to take in during three weeks, but I had a blast!
-The organization: It was flawless. Everything was clear, and the accommodation and meals were conveniently located near the shala.

February 25, 2022 at 12:00 amIf you decide to come during the winter, just keep in mind that Greece can get pretty cold. So, make sure you pack some extra layers and warm clothes. Oh, let me tell you about my amazing experience with my teacher training in Palairos!
Faye is an absolute rockstar when it comes to yoga. She teaches in a straightforward way and is super clear on what she believes in. She gives constructive feedback and pushes everyone to be their best selves. Laila, on the other hand, is such a gentle soul. She has incredible knowledge about breathwork, meditation, yin, and nidra yoga. Plus, she’s great at breaking down those challenging arm balancing poses. Together, they created the perfect yin/yang harmony. And let’s not forget Jonas, our anatomy teacher. I absolutely loved his classes! Jonas has a talent for explaining complex subjects in easy-to-digest pieces. If you’re lucky enough to have Jonas for anatomy, you’re in for a treat (just watch out for his dry humor, haha).
I am forever grateful to the three of them for such an unforgettable and enlightening teacher training. I learned so much!
The place we stayed in, Palairos’s ‘foodpath’, is just a short 5-minute walk to the beach and surrounded by breathtaking mountains. It’s a truly authentic Greek place and just gorgeous. The food there was incredible! Adonis and Elli, the owners, prepared diverse dishes with fresh produce, and everything always tasted amazing. You could really feel the love they put into their cooking. Plus, they were always there for us whenever we needed anything. Thank you both so much for opening your house and making it feel like a home for us.
I definitely recommend coming here for your teacher training. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

February 8, 2022 at 12:00 amMaybe it would have been a bit too crowded in the Indoor Shala with more than 13 people, but other than that, I don’t have any complaints. The course was perfectly planned and everyone gave their absolute best. Thank you so much YogaUnion for putting together such an incredible experience! Everything was flawless. We had a whole team taking care of us, ensuring that we had the best possible time. Faye and Leila were amazing teachers who challenged us and were always there to help us understand difficult Asanas or theories. Jonas’ Anatomy classes were fantastic too! The atmosphere in the place was so friendly and the food was always freshly prepared, delicious, and offered a great variety. The Hostel was beautiful and just a short 5-minute walk from the breathtaking sea. There were 13 of us in the course and I’m certain that every single one of us had an incredible time and learned so much. I can’t even begin to express how beautiful this yoga teacher training experience was for me. Our teachers, Ippoliti and Rachel, were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, they didn’t provide props for Yin Yoga alignments, which was a pity. They should improve communication about this, so that students can bring their own props. But overall, my experience at YogaUnion was awesome.
The teachers and instructors were of exceptional quality. They were very professional and took the time to share their knowledge and experience with humility, responsibility, and precision. But what stood out the most was their beautiful humanity and happiness that embraced both the students and the place.
The food was amazing, made with fresh and balanced ingredients. The delicious fruits and vegetarian/vegan options were a delight.

September 22, 2020 at 12:00 amThe accommodation in Greece did not meet our expectations. We had numerous centipedes and other insects in our room every day because the door did not shut properly, leaving a small gap at the bottom. Additionally, there was no washing machine or closet available. The promised daily cleaning of the rubbish bin in our bathroom only happened once a week, despite them instructing us to throw used toilet paper in it. Moreover, the food they cooked lacked variety and sometimes there was not enough for everyone. Despite these inconveniences, the teacher training itself was incredible! March 6, 2020 at 12:00 amI wish I could give a perfect review, but unfortunately, our philosophy instructor didn’t have much confidence in the material she was teaching. She didn’t spend enough time on the important subjects and instead had us do activities like wandering around smelling flowers and touching rocks. It was frustrating because we were supposed to be preparing for an exam that required specific knowledge. I personally asked her to focus on the exam material, but she claimed there wasn’t enough time and questioned how I expected her to cover it. I didn’t think this was the right attitude for an instructor. When the exam finally came, none of us felt truly prepared and had to cram a lot of information at the last minute.
It would have been helpful if we received the training manual in PDF format before the training, so we could have studied in advance. Although reading the recommended books was beneficial, I think they should have been mandatory to ensure everyone came to the training well-prepared. The retreat in Bali was a mix of work and enjoyment, so if we had more opportunity to prepare beforehand, we could have simply enjoyed the retreat without stress. The alignment classes were fantastic, especially learning from Himanshu. He is a dedicated, dynamic, and technical instructor who is both knowledgeable and passionate about yoga. Himanshu taught us all the important alignments of yoga positions and provided practical knowledge. He pushed me to my limits and demanded the best from the whole class. Throughout the 23-day course with him, my strength, stamina, and flexibility improved significantly. I was able to accomplish poses I had never attempted before. We started teaching right away, which made me feel fully prepared for my final demonstration. Himanshu guided us effortlessly through subtle aspects like breathwork, and by the end of the course, I was able to go deeper into meditation and pranayama. He truly equipped me to become a better yoga practitioner.

To get corrected, you need to call the teachers, they don’t come on their own.
They clearly told me that if I didn’t pay by this afternoon, I would have to leave immediately!
Be sure to understand English perfectly, even though the website says it’s accessible to everyone!
The diploma ceremony is very modest. A beautiful and enriching adventure.
Beautiful surroundings.
Intense training.
Great people.
Learning so much about yoga and oneself.
Passionate and qualified teachers.
Free shuttle to the city.

February 6, 2020 at 12:00 amThe food at the Mansion during training was disappointing. As a long-time vegan, I found the options for protein and complex carbohydrates very limited. It was tough to keep going during long study hours and strenuous yoga practice without enough variety in the meals. After spending 3 weeks there, it would have been great to have more diverse food choices to break up the monotony. YogaUnion worked with the Mansion Hotel to address these issues, so hopefully future trainings will have better options. I absolutely loved the 200 YTT with YogaUnion! The teachers were all passionate and incredibly knowledgeable. I felt confident that I was receiving a top-notch yoga education. Our main teacher, Nikol, is a shining example of hard work, discipline, and dedication. Whether she was explaining asana alignment or leading a vinyasa flow, her energy was contagious. She truly has a gift and a kind heart. We all gained so much from her teachings.

February 5, 2020 at 12:00 amAfter the third week, the food started to get a bit repetitive but it was still tasty.
During classes, the teachers should ask someone from the retreat to show the “example” regardless of the student’s level, instead of always choosing the most flexible/strongest yogi. This way, everyone can see how the teacher corrects or guides the student into the pose, since we are more likely to teach beginner/intermediate students than someone who already knows everything. Yoga is not about comparison. Some yogis were disappointed to always see the same advanced student demonstrating the pose.
I just hope this won’t happen in future retreats, but I still really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. The location is amazing in the middle of the rice fields! The shala and restaurant were fantastic, and breakfast was the best meal with so many fruits, muesli, homemade coconut yogurt, and sometimes pancakes and French toast. Everyone was really nice, and I had an incredible time there. It was a truly life-changing experience! Plus, it was cheaper than other organizations, but still amazing.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amNothing… Maybe the pool at my little hotel being a bit neglected, but everything else was perfect. The teachers are really cool and attentive even though there are a lot of us. The training is excellent and well-organized. It’s lively and never boring. The shala is like a little paradise. The energy that comes from all of this is gentle and full of beautiful emotions. The location in the rice fields is fantastic. The restaurant too. Thank you.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amThe food wasn’t good, with the same dishes regularly. It’s vegetarian but not healthy. I wouldn’t recommend this training if you don’t speak English well. There’s a lot of theory and philosophy to understand for the rest of the course. Personally, I struggled with it because I had to translate my manuals into French. The yoga classes were great, with an amazing and professional teacher. I loved practicing with all the humble teachers. It was a unique experience with beautiful encounters.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amDon’t wait! I recommend arriving 2 days early to adjust to the time zone and weather. It’ll help you get the most out of your experience. And if you can, stay at least a week after the course to explore the island/Gili/Nusa Penida. The course is intense, with 2 Sundays off that you’ll want to relax on rather than cramming in activities. The teachers were amazing in teaching asana, anatomy, and philosophy. I learned so much and know I’ll remember it because they were so passionate and caring. The daily asana and vinyasa classes were top-notch as well.
The accommodation at Mansion Resort is like a dream honeymoon spot! I splurged on my own double room and it was totally worth it. The staff was so friendly and the place was perfect for studying or relaxing. The Shalas where you practice yoga were absolutely beautiful.
Just a heads up, the resort isn’t in town, but there’s a free shuttle a few times a day or you can take a taxi for £8. You can also rent a scooter nearby. The food was good, especially for vegetarians like me. I wish they had a coffee supply in the afternoon, but the cafe does have iced coffee for £3.50.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amI wish we had more moments of silence during the training to really dive deep into our inner yoga journey. The training felt a bit shallow at times, like we were just passing along information. I think it would be beneficial to incorporate some silent days, especially in the beginning, or maybe even every morning before breakfast. This way, we can focus on meditation, pranayama, and asana practice without distractions and truly grasp the essence of yoga beyond just a workout.
Our teacher Himanshu did a fantastic job of balancing fun with pushing us to do our best. He shared his wisdom in a way that allowed us to take what resonated with us. I’m grateful for the other wonderful teachers as well, who all contributed to our learning experience.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amThe food needs more variety, it’s getting repetitive. The Philosophy teacher isn’t always clear. The classes are great though – Nikol, the yoga teacher, is brilliant and very experienced. She knows her job well and I’ve learned a lot from her. The location is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Spyros, the anatomy teacher, has a great way of teaching that’s easy to understand and enjoyable. I met lovely people and really enjoyed the experience.

January 17, 2020 at 12:00 amThank you, Yoga Union, for an amazing experience! I couldn’t believe it when I read the reviews beforehand, but I really did learn and progress so much in such a short time. Spyros, Ourania, Himanshu, Celine, and Sirios were all so dedicated and full of energy and passion throughout the three weeks. They answered all our questions, pushed us to step outside our comfort zones, and never let us give up – shoutout to Himanshu! Immersing myself in this intense program for 3 weeks has definitely changed my perspective and given me a more holistic view of yoga. The teachers’ energy was truly inspirational and gave me the confidence that I can achieve anything if I put my mind to it!

January 14, 2020 at 12:00 amI really wish we had started with an introduction for all participants with some fun games or activities so that we could all get to know each other’s names at least once!
In anatomy class, we learned that strength can be built quickly, but tendons and ligaments need more time to catch up. I would have appreciated if the teachers had reminded us to slow down and listen to our bodies. Instead, it felt like we were always being pushed to go further in every pose. While it’s not necessarily a bad thing, it wasn’t sustainable in a 3-week intense training. It seemed like over half the class ended up with injuries. It didn’t feel healthy to me, and I wished there had been more adaptions on some days.
I was expecting more information and adjustments for beginners since the Yoga Union YTT is advertised for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
In the philosophy class, I would have preferred to start with some basic information before diving into deep discussions about topics I wasn’t very familiar with. It was especially challenging for non-native English speakers like myself to keep up. I don’t feel like I have a good understanding of yoga philosophy now, possibly due to the unstructured method of teaching.
On the positive side, I enjoyed the atmosphere created by the teachers, trainees, and Karmayogis. The schedule, food (though more fruit variety would be nice), and location were all great. The structure of the training, starting with basics and building up, was effective. I appreciated learning good alignment for myself and the early opportunity to start teaching each other. The international diversity of the training was also a highlight, as were the special events like the cacao ceremony and silent walk. Lastly, I admired the dedication and passion of every teacher.

January 11, 2020 at 12:00 amThe school offered a limited variety of bland food, but they made improvements towards the end and the food tasted much better in the last week.
Experienced teachers create an immersive and accessible environment that promotes personal growth and a deeper understanding of the yogic way of life.
The schedule is tough and demanding, but it’s not a laid-back retreat – it’s an intense learning program designed to prepare advanced practitioners for a future of guiding others through yoga flows and mindfulness practices.

January 10, 2020 at 12:00 amIt’s good to remind all students about the etiquette of mat arrangement because sometimes it gets crowded at the entrance of the shala. I absolutely love Nikol’s sweaty and fast-paced Vinyasa classes!
Having the shala and bedrooms in one place at The Mansion is so convenient, no stress of commuting.
The training really helped me deepen my understanding of asana and human anatomy, subjects I was interested in but knew very little about.
We learned and taught the traditional Sun Salutations, which are my favorite thing to do.

January 10, 2020 at 12:00 amI didn’t really enjoy the philosophy classes, mainly because we didn’t have much time to discuss important yoga concepts. However, I did appreciate how the teachers took the time to review key terms and concepts for exams. Still, I believe future yoga teachers should not only know about concepts like chakras, doshas, and gunas, but also be able to critically evaluate yoga philosophy. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much room for this kind of discussion, and it didn’t feel safe to bring up these issues in class.
As time passed, the food didn’t excite me as much after two weeks.
Overall, these were just minor issues compared to all the positive experiences I had during the retreat. It was such a wonderful and unique adventure that made going back home difficult after three weeks. Spyros and Ourania have created a warm, nurturing environment for yogis and future teachers. They are truly inspiring. Himanshu, our morning asana teacher, was also fantastic. He’s so passionate about yoga and has helped me push my limits and grow stronger each week. Every teacher at the Shala brought their own special touch. The rice field setting felt like a whole different world, and I cherished every moment. Thank you for this incredible training!

December 17, 2019 at 12:00 amThe food was repetitive. They didn’t make it clear that accommodations vary, with some staying in a mansion resort and others in the rice fields. There was definitely a wide range of accommodations. I wish they had focused more on spirituality and self-development, but overall, it was a life-changing experience. So, I’ll say… these little complaints don’t compare to how amazing it was.
One more thing, there’s usually a big group of around 30 people. We all became like family. But if you prefer smaller, more intimate groups, this may not be the right retreat for you. Personally, I thrive in smaller groups and wish there was less people for more one-on-one time. But the staff is so incredible, which is why so many people come here! You won’t regret it.
I stayed in the rice fields, and it was such a beautiful and peaceful setting for my yoga teacher training. The training was tough but so rewarding. It’s a lot of hard work, so be prepared. Most of the teachers are amazing and very knowledgeable. They genuinely want you to succeed as a yoga teacher.
The food was pretty good overall, although it did get a bit repetitive towards the end. The ladies who prepared the meals were so sweet. I absolutely loved this experience and wouldn’t change a thing!

October 30, 2019 at 12:00 amI read all the reviews and they all said the food is repetitive and standard. Honestly, you don’t need a lot of variety when you’re putting your body through the physical stress of daily vinyasa. It was perfect after two hours of yoga every day. I’m thrilled I chose this course. I looked at thousands of others in different countries, but this one exceeded my expectations by far. It was tough, really tough. They suggest reading a few books beforehand and having a yoga routine. I did a bit, but three weeks wasn’t enough. It’s a lot of information to take in, but once you conquer it, it’s so rewarding. The group I was with was incredible – we became like a family. We laughed, we cried, I even got some bruises… but it was all worth it. And for the price, it’s so much more than you’d expect. Nikki was an amazing instructor. She pushed me to my limits and I surprised myself. Spyros was the best anatomy teacher, so passionate! Thank you, Yoga Union!

October 22, 2019 at 12:00 amI loved everything about the training. I wish I could have seen and experienced the main union yoga shala in the ricefields, but being in the mansion resort group prevented me from doing so. I also believe that the closing ceremony is better and more authentic there. The resort could be noisy at times, especially since our shala was near the pool area, which was not ideal for certain classes. However, the resort itself is very nice. The teachers are incredible. They cover everything you need to know about Asanas, alignment, variations, and the benefits of yoga. They teach with a deep love and dedication to yoga, showing tough but caring love for all the students. I am grateful to Nikole, our main teacher, for the effort, patience, and care she put into teaching us. Spiros and Ourania are also amazing and help to create a strong yoga community here.
It’s a lot of information to absorb in 3 weeks, so be sure to rest and clear your mind between classes to prepare for the exam. The teaching structure kicks in right away, allowing you to build your flow step by step and practice teaching each other. It’s an intense, physical, mental, and emotional experience, but it’s truly amazing and helps people grow into a yogi family. I will always be thankful that I did this! Namaste.

September 25, 2019 at 12:00 amThis course blew me away. The location, right in the middle of the rice fields, was absolutely stunning. The guest house where I stayed exceeded all expectations. And let’s not forget about the delicious vegetarian food we were treated to three times a day during the training.
The instructors were top-notch. Himanshu, our yoga teacher, was truly incredible (seriously one of the BEST I’ve ever had). He motivated us all to push ourselves and reach our full potential. Ourania and Spyros taught us about alignment and anatomy, and they were not only super knowledgeable but also amazing teachers with the ability to give clear instructions and explanations. They were all so kind, genuine, and compassionate, always making sure we were happy, healthy, and able to focus solely on yoga.
Throughout the course, we got to try out different styles of yoga like yin, vinyasa, ashtanga, and hatha. We also practiced various types of pranayama and meditation every morning. The workshops were fantastic – they helped improve the practices of most participants almost instantly. People were mastering headstands, arm balances, and back bends quicker and safer than ever before.
I can’t stress enough how much I recommend this training. It completely transformed my practice and my life. I hope to come back to beautiful Ubud one day to soak up even a fraction of the experience again.

September 24, 2019 at 12:00 amI loved staying in the rice fields! But, some of us didn’t know we could choose between the rice fields and the mansion until we got there and the groups were already split. Just a heads up for future bookings, it would be nice to know our options in advance. Regardless, I was happy where I was, but others might feel differently.
Choosing to do a yoga teacher training in Bali was the best decision I ever made. If you’re on the fence, just go for it! Bali has a special energy that helps you let go of negative things. And with amazing teachers like Ourania and Himanshu, and all the other wonderful people you’ll meet, this experience is truly life-changing. It’s a peaceful place where you can be yourself, surrounded by support.
The training is tough, and you’ll face physical and emotional challenges. There will be moments when you want to quit, but your supportive group will lift you up. No matter why you’re doing the training, you’ll grow and improve. It takes practice to overcome your obstacles and become a great teacher, but YogaUnion in Ubud is the perfect place to start.
I just want to thank my September course group mates for helping me grow and believe in myself. I hope we all continue to support each other in our journeys. And to our incredible teachers – THANK YOU for sharing your wisdom with us! Wishing everyone the best of luck in all your endeavors.

I wasn’t sure if I should do a Yoga training at first, but the three weeks with my fellow Yogis, the teachers, and the magic of Bali convinced me that it was the right decision. So, if you’re still debating whether to book a retreat, just do it!
The teachers at YogaUnion were all excellent! There was a great variety of personalities and teaching styles, so there’s something for everyone to learn from. I always felt like I was in a safe space. The teachers were professional, experienced, patient, and had a great understanding of us students. I especially enjoyed Savvas’s challenging Vinyasa classes and Jonas’s fascinating anatomy lessons, which left me wanting to study more about the physical body in the future.

September 21, 2019 at 12:00 amAll I could find was that we formed a very large group of people. We ended up being 40 in our group, making it harder for the teachers to give individual feedback at times. But since August is high season, I was expecting a big group, and the Shala is spacious enough to host many people. It was an amazing experience overall.
I miss the beautiful Shala in the ricefields and the lovely teachers every single day. I don’t regret choosing this Training at all, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
A huge thank you to all the teachers and organizers for making this experience possible and giving it your all!

September 10, 2019 at 12:00 amIf you’re looking for a once in a lifetime experience, then this program is perfect for you. Whether you’re interested in becoming a Yoga teacher or just want to improve your practice, I highly recommend this training! I was pushed physically, mentally, and emotionally in the most beautiful ways. I pushed past my limits, laughed, cried, and felt immensely grateful to be in Bali among the rice fields, practicing in a gorgeous shala with a group of inspiring yogis from around the world. The teachers were amazing and shared their knowledge and wisdom with us. The information I learned will stay with me forever, both for my personal practice and as a Yoga teacher. The cafe where we ate was fantastic with attentive, kind staff who worked hard to keep us well-fed with tasty vegan and gluten-free options. The hotel I stayed at (Restu) was good, with any issues quickly resolved. The whole experience was amazing and I can’t say enough good things about it. I will cherish this journey forever and can’t wait to return to Ubud.

September 6, 2019 at 12:00 amI feel like I didn’t really get the full 50 hours of Yin training. Compared to the intense studying we did in my 50 hour restorative course, this felt more like a mix of a retreat and a training course. The morning meditation was nice, and the afternoon practices of Hatha, Vinyasa, or chanting were enjoyable, but it just wasn’t focused on Yin.
I have to admit, even though the people were great, the food was just not good 🙁 Vasso did a fantastic job sharing her Yin yoga knowledge, though. The training she provided was top-notch.
The location was beautiful – so peaceful and relaxing. It was the perfect setting for a training course like this.

September 5, 2019 at 12:00 amI wish there had been more fruit at lunch and dinner. Also, I would have liked smaller groups for the final lessons because all the classes were tiring. It was hit or miss with the accommodations – some had water in the rooms and kettles, others didn’t. But the shala in the rice fields was amazing! Ourania, Spyros, and their team have created a beautiful oasis. They make you feel like family from day one. The instructors were top-notch and catered to all levels. I was nervous about teaching in a group, but they guided me with such ease that now I feel confident training clients. The walk to the shala was unforgettable, and the meals provided were filling. The balance between classes and free time was perfect. I suggest reading a bit of the training manual each day to avoid stress before exams. Listen to your body and take breaks if needed during the long classes.

September 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI was disappointed by the lack of communication at the beginning about where my training would be held. The advertisement said it would be in the rice field Shala with organic food from a nearby restaurant. Instead, I ended up at the mansion resort with repetitive food that made it hard to feel nourished after long yoga sessions.
But, on the bright side, I had amazing instructors that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Although I was hoping for a more personal and self-growth experience, I still learned so much about myself, yoga, anatomy, and philosophy in just 3 weeks thanks to the passionate instructors.
The instructors were phenomenal with their own specialties and interests, and it was clear how excited they were to share their knowledge with us. I gained priceless information and knowledge during this training thanks to the instructors selected for this month’s program.
Throughout the 3 weeks, Yoga Union was always responsive to our concerns and needs, making us feel safe and supported as we traveled from all corners of the globe.

September 1, 2019 at 12:00 amWe had a large group, so we didn’t get as much personal critique on our teaching or yoga practice. But, the energy from the group was fantastic and it was awesome to connect with people from all over the world. Plus, more students meant more to learn from.
The Shala in the rice fields was absolutely stunning. They really put effort into creating a beautiful space. Being surrounded by nature in the real Ubud every day was a privilege, especially away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
The teachers were top-notch and each had their own unique style. They were welcoming and created a safe space for all of us. The variety of yoga styles and workshops was great and prepared us well to become teachers. I also got to improve my own practice a lot.
The anatomy and philosophy lessons were taught well and gave a fresh perspective on Yoga beyond just the physical aspects.
The food at the nearby restaurant was surprisingly delicious. They had a good variety and were accommodating to dietary needs.
Overall, my experience with YogaUnion was amazing and I am grateful for such a fulfilling experience.

August 27, 2019 at 12:00 amSometimes the food bored me a bit, but it’s easy to just head down the street and buy something on those days. The schedule for the last few weeks seemed a little disorganized, but it still worked out fine. I wish we had more practice teaching time, but I think the other group got a lot of that, so I guess it depends on your teacher (ours was still great). The accommodation was much nicer than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The teachers were all awesome and super understanding and accommodating for our injuries and other issues. The daily schedule was good, and not having to find and cook my own food after long days was a big plus! I would definitely recommend these guys.

April 23, 2019 at 12:00 am1) The food at the Mansion got pretty repetitive – lots of vegetables (meat-lovers, beware!). But breakfast was amazing! They had the best spread of food.
2) The course can be intense (no surprise there!), and by the second week, a lot of people were burning out or getting sick. We probably could have paced ourselves better. Unfortunately, our group had messed up break days, so we had 9 days straight of practice in the second week, which really wore us out. However, the instructors were super supportive and let us take breaks when needed, which we really appreciated! I went into this trip with no expectations and ended up blown away by the whole experience.
1) The course covers yoga holistically through 3 main classes: alignment of asanas (postures), yoga philosophy, and anatomy. You gain a better understanding of both the physical and psychological/spiritual aspects of yoga. The course also includes pranayama (breathing), meditation, and teaching practice. We had to prepare a class almost every day, with the length of the lesson increasing as the course progressed.
2) Our group had an accommodation issue and had to practice at the Mansion Hotel in Ubud instead of the regular shala, but it was a nice resort, so no complaints there! I shared a room with someone, and we had a whole family suite to ourselves.
3) One of the best parts of the course was the community we built. I met people of all ages from all over the world, and despite our differences, we all had the same open-minded attitude towards learning and growing. I made some incredible friends during the course, and even after it ended, we stayed in touch and visited each other in different countries. I’d recommend extending your stay in Bali to spend more time with these new friends.

April 20, 2019 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, the school had to change the location due to factors beyond their control. As a resident of Dubai, I was looking forward to coming to Ubud for a peaceful stay amidst the rice fields and nature. However, we ended up staying at the Mansion hotel instead. I must say, the hotel was indeed beautiful and the service we received was top-notch. But, I had come for a nature and yoga experience.
On the bright side, I did have the chance to visit Yoga Union’s shala and it was absolutely breathtaking! Nestled in the rice fields, it was the most beautiful shala I had ever seen. The teachers were amazing and the whole experience was truly transformative for me on my journey to becoming a yoga teacher.
The classes were interactive and enjoyable, presenting new challenges every day. The teachers made sure we were well taken care of and supported throughout the entire program. I learned so much every day and met some incredible people who I hope to stay connected with for life. I definitely hope to return to Yoga Union one day!
I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in becoming a yoga teacher. It was an unforgettable experience that I will always cherish.

April 5, 2019 at 12:00 amThe food was maybe a little repetitive, but it was still delicious. That’s the only fault I could find! March 25, 2019 at 12:00 amThe program in Bali had a few minor issues due to its newness. It could have been easier to pay the rest of the program fee with something like PayPal. Some guesthouses were nicer than others, even though we all paid the same price. The restaurant where we ate had friendly staff but the menu was repetitive until we asked for a change. Despite these small issues, I would wholeheartedly recommend this yoga training. I loved the experience. The teachers were knowledgeable and lived the Yogi philosophies. The daily vinyasa classes were creative and varied, making it hard to find comparable classes at home. I left the program feeling fully prepared to start teaching my own classes, thanks to the wonderful knowledge gained.

October 2, 2018 at 12:00 amCome in ready to hit the books instead of the beach because this course is no vacation! There’s a ton of homework, studying, and preparation involved, so get ready to work. Sundays are your only break, but free time is limited. It’s a jam-packed 3 weeks, but trust me, it’s worth it in the end. If you want to explore Bali, just tack on a few extra days or weeks to your trip. I absolutely loved it all, despite the ups and downs.
The course is structured really well. You’ll start off teaching small lessons in the first week, which may seem intimidating. But by the end of week 2.5, you’ll be ready to teach a final 30-minute class. You’ll also learn about philosophy, anatomy, and meditation, and be tested on all of it. It sounds like a lot, but it’s what helps you become a well-rounded yoga teacher. In the afternoons, you’ll be exposed to different yoga styles, while every morning starts with a Vinyasa Flow class. The classes are carefully designed and suitable for all levels, so your own skills will definitely improve during your time here.
The teachers are fantastic, both as educators and as people. They’re there to support you, whether it’s yoga-related or personal. You’re never on your own!
When it comes to accommodation, remember you’re in Bali – bugs are part of the deal in those open bungalows. But a little bug spray and long pants will help you get through it.
As for food, expect delicious, healthy meals served at the same restaurants three times a day. Eating repetitive meals sometimes is normal – but you can always find other dining options if you want!

July 11, 2018 at 12:00 amI didn’t like the location of the accommodation. The house was extremely secluded (not by the beach and no significant view), there was no public transportation, no shop for hygiene products, etc., and the beach was not within walking distance. If we hadn’t rented a car, we wouldn’t have seen anything of the beautiful peninsula. Also, my room was in the same house as the yoga classes, meals, common room, etc. This personally wasn’t ideal for me because it was always relatively loud and I couldn’t find a quiet place to retreat, spending the whole day going up and down the stairs in the same house. The yoga classes were top professional – the teachers are all very passionate and knowledgeable. I learned a lot in a relatively short time and I am really happy.

July 9, 2018 at 12:00 amI found it a bit difficult to live in the same house where the courses were held with three other girls. Initially, it was fine, but as the schedule became busier and the sleeping hours shorter, I needed every lunch break or evening time for rest and study. The house was always full of people, making it hard to find quiet time to relax. It felt a bit like being trapped in the same space all the time. Luckily, we rented a car to escape to the beach or town during breaks for a change of scenery. The food caused some stomach issues after a couple of weeks, but I managed by eating out occasionally for a different menu.
Overall, the only issue I had was with the living situation, which I would suggest changing for future retreats. However, the experience itself was wonderful. The yoga teachers were passionate, skilled, and dedicated, exceeding my expectations. It was a transformative experience where I learned a lot, made great connections, and grew as a person. The variety of experienced yoga teachers and interactive teaching of anatomy and philosophy made the training engaging. The beautiful surroundings and nice house added to the positive experience. I would highly recommend it to others as a great opportunity for personal growth and learning.

I highly recommend Yoga Union to anyone interested in becoming a yoga teacher or deepening their practice. Even before I arrived for the training, I felt the warmth of the teachers through our correspondence. I had been unwell before, unsure if I could handle the training, but Yoga Union supported and guided me, giving me the confidence to attend – and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
The training was amazing. We jumped into challenging vinyasa classes from day one, learning right away. I enjoyed classes from various teachers like Ourania’s special vinyasa, Sarah’s yin, Spyros’ Hatha, and Tony’s restorative classes. The yin class was a perfect balance to the intense vinyasa, giving our bodies much-needed rest after a long day of practice.
The theory lessons were thorough, and we started teaching right away, which was incredibly beneficial for developing our teaching style and boosting my confidence. I recommend reading the course books before starting – it’ll give you a strong foundation of knowledge to carry you through the training.

March 29, 2018 at 12:00 amThe training organization could be improved professionally. Here are a few suggestions to enhance the quality of the training:
– Have students use the recommended books by assigning chapters to read before class (since some students bought the books but never used them).
– Provide a detailed schedule for the 3 weeks on day 1 during the introduction dinner, and ensure that those who can’t attend receive a copy in their room upon arrival. This way, everyone knows what to expect and everything is clear.
– Make sure the accommodation description is accurate to avoid disappointment due to differing expectations.
– Avoid talking negatively about previous students to prevent creating insecurity among current students who may fear being the topic of discussion in the next training session.
– Ensure that every student receives equal attention during teaching exams to maintain fairness. It was confusing when some students received more attention than others based on the teacher’s behavior in class.
The passionate teachers were very knowledgeable about yoga and taught us a lot about alignment, the human body, philosophy, and asanas. Each day started with meditation techniques and a fantastic yoga class led by Ourania. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring fresh fruits and delicious porridge or black rice pudding. The asana classes were informative, helping us understand and correct our postures. Philosophy lessons with Coralia provided insights into the background and theory of yoga. While the anatomy classes were a bit disorganized due to missing pages, they still taught us more about how the human body functions in yoga.
The 3-week journey with the other 29 students was challenging at first but became easier in weeks two and three. Overall, it was a great personal experience with some areas for improvement in the next round of yoga teacher training.

Luckily, that wasn’t an issue because we got to explore amazing places in the rice fields. What I really enjoyed about this teacher training is that: a. It helps you grow as a person both practically and spiritually, opening your eyes to self-discovery. b. The program has a strong emphasis on teaching, with hands-on experience starting from week 1, boosting your confidence. c. The location, people, food, and teachers all contributed to creating a magical experience that made me smile every day.

March 7, 2018 at 12:00 amFirstly, we were told the course would only have a maximum of 15 people, but in reality, there were 35 students, which was pretty frustrating. Due to the high number of students compared to teachers, I didn’t receive any helpful feedback for over two weeks.
The Anatomy and Philosophy classes felt really unorganized and hard to follow. It wasn’t that the subject matter was confusing, but the way the lessons were run and communicated. We were discouraged from taking notes and didn’t get any relevant handouts to help us follow along. The Teacher Training manual was so badly printed that it had to be reprinted.
Although all the necessary texts were meant to be provided, many of us ended up buying an extra book that was really helpful for the Anatomy section.
When we were doing our own practice teaching, the teachers seemed distracted and didn’t offer much useful feedback. It was a common occurrence for them to come in and out of our lessons, or be on their phones, even during assessments.
I wish there had been a more supportive learning atmosphere because I felt like it was easy to fall behind. On the bright side, the surroundings were amazing, with beautiful rice fields to walk by every day. The actual yoga classes were fantastic, with both teachers being passionate and clear in their instructions for Vinyasa. They were also great at giving detailed feedback and adjustments when asked for.
The food was delicious, with a really nice vegan selection. My only suggestion would be to have more protein options besides just soy products.

March 7, 2018 at 12:00 amThe course falsely advertised that it would have a maximum of 15 people, but when I arrived, there were actually 35 people. It was unprofessional for them to tell me I was the last one to book when clearly others had booked even a week before. However, the quality of the teachers was fantastic. They both had a deep knowledge of all the subjects and yoga in general.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amThe main problem was just that it was disorganised. Sometimes we didn’t know which location we would be at the next morning and were walking up and down the path until we found our teachers. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a plan for the three weeks in advance, we found out a max of a few days ahead. I know the teachers wanted to keep some flexibility, but with a plan you can still make changes if something comes up and the students can plan their personal time and not feel stressed about what might be coming with no notice.
I never received the Shatkarma kit which was advertised and had to ask for the included massage, not sure I would have had it otherwise. Both were not mentioned or offered from the start.
Basically, I think their teaching is great and I learnt so much, but I think they need to employ a dedicated administration person for the duration to take that pressure off them so they can do what they do best. What I learnt was great and all came up in the exam. Our teachers had so much knowledge and shared lots of their personal experiences to help us understand how to adjust others in asanas, how to teach and to value what we will be doing professionally and many other things. They were open so we could ask questions at anytime and not feel like a burden. The nice thing about Ourania and Koralia is their personalities were opposites, so I felt I got a rounded view of whatever they were teaching. We started teaching and receiving feedback within days of starting which was daunting but great. I enjoyed having lessons in other styles of yoga along side Vinyasa.
The location, living and studying amongst the picturesque padi/rice fields of Ubud, was perfect. We used two locations for our classes, both had stunning views and equipment such as pillows and blocks. I stayed at Gusti Garden, which was basic, but generally comfortable. The WiFi was better than the other location (Prashanti) and the owner was always really friendly and helpful if we needed anything. The complimentary umbrellas were much appreciated! Those on the course were put up at various guest houses along Sok Wayah.
The food I had at Prashanti for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious, but I don’t know if I’d call it fully macrobiotic as advertised. It was vegan, Indonesian style.
I had an amazing time with likeminded, supportive students many of whom I now have the honour of calling friends.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amNothing was as organized as promised. Classes were held in different locations, and I lived in a separate one while having meals in a third place. There was a lot of confusion, back and forth, and improvising. The instructors, while great, presented anatomy in a way that seemed made up, and it felt like they had no idea how to teach it properly. It was hard to believe they had organized a ttc before, let alone for eight years in a row. It felt like it was their first time. This caused stress and made me worry about failing, rather than being a peaceful yogi. Overall, I didn’t like the atmosphere created by the instructors, but they did try to make improvements. Hopefully, the next one will be better. Despite the negatives, I enjoyed the experience. I especially loved the location among the rice fields and the Dragonfly Yoga in Ubud, even though I wasn’t staying in Prashanti. Bali is a fantastic place and I had a wonderful time there.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amThe structure and organization need real work. An assistant would have been really helpful. They didn’t handle things correctly. Many students were upset. When we were asked for feedback, the teachers got defensive and dismissive.
The website says 15 max, but we had 35 students. They told us it didn’t matter, but I thought it did. I didn’t get enough instruction or help, and felt lost and ignored. It seemed like some students got all the attention.
I was promised one accommodation but got a much worse one. It was half the price online, but I had to pay full price. They should have compensated me, but they didn’t. I had mold in my room, got sick, and my luggage was covered in mold. I tried speaking up but was ignored.
The practice shala was beautiful. I learned a lot and enjoyed being introduced to other types of yoga. I wish there was more explanation though. The teachers were knowledgeable but not always organized. I met some amazing women.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amIf it’s more organized, it will be perfect. The training was amazing – you can feel your body getting stronger and your mind too. The teachers have a lot of knowledge about yoga. I learned a lot about myself during this course, becoming more conscious of my mind and emotions. The healing wisdom from meditation can be used in my daily life to find peace. This training has definitely changed my life.

February 28, 2018 at 12:00 amWe didn’t expect the accommodation to be like this… the bathroom was musty and damp, and there was no drinking water available.
Overall, everything was very nice, just some small issues. The class was so big that we had to use different venues, which caused some confusion at times. It could have been smoother, but it was their first time organizing in Bali.
Both teachers were amazing… strong women with their own unique qualities. It was great to have them as mentors during the retreat.
The long meditation was wonderful. It was a personal experience that gave me insight into yoga teaching and the lifestyle. The feedback was great, and I feel like I learned a lot.

February 28, 2018 at 12:00 amOurania teaches an amazing, very strong vinyasa flow class that will push you to your limits in your own practice and teaching journey. The dynamic duo of Ourania and Corelia is perfect, as they both have years of experience and share their knowledge in training. I learned a lot and really appreciate these two teachers for sharing their expertise.

February 27, 2018 at 12:00 amThe organization of several things could have been a bit better, but hey, we’re all human and mistakes happen. I absolutely loved the place – it felt like paradise! The surroundings were so beautiful and green, and the teachers were fantastic, very helpful and understanding.

February 27, 2018 at 12:00 amLet’s get organized for the day and make sure we know where we need to be…don’t forget to bring your anatomy documentation for the lesson. Dinner is the same every day. We will discuss the philosophy of yoga and practice some yoga. Plus, we’ll have breakfast and dinner in the beautiful surroundings.

February 27, 2018 at 12:00 amThe advertisement falsely claimed there were only 15 people, but in reality, there were 33. The instructors didn’t welcome feedback. The anatomy classes and course material were disorganized. The anatomy book we needed wasn’t on the list they provided, so we had to pay extra to get it printed on A4 papers if we wanted it. The Vinyasa morning classes were fantastic! The location, nestled in the rice fields, is stunning! Coralia’s adjustments were always spot on!
