The Samyama spiritual heart silent meditation retreat offers an incredible experience of silence, self-inquiry, and authentic forms of meditation. The goal is to help you discover the peace and unconditional love that is inside of you. By sitting quietly in stillness, you can reconnect with that place. This three-day silent meditation retreat is designed to mimic a solitary cave retreat, with complete silence and minimal contact with the outside world. While you will be in a group setting, you’ll have plenty of space to delve deep into your own unique experience. The beauty of silence is that the less you speak, the more your brain can slow down, making it easier to enter deep states of meditation. The schedule of the retreat is carefully crafted to guide you towards deeper meditation and intimacy with your spiritual heart. By the end, you’ll not only have had a nourishing break from your thoughts but also a practical toolbox to tap into your most natural Self, even in challenging day-to-day moments. The retreat includes guided and personal meditation practices, Hatha yoga asana and pranayama practice, inspiring lectures from various mystical and contemplative traditions, and support from the lead teacher and supporting staff. It’s highly recommended to attend the retreat in full silence to fully benefit from the sessions. Each day starts with meditation, followed by breakfast, a lecture providing context for the techniques being taught, Hatha yoga practice, more meditation, and then lunch. The afternoon follows a similar schedule, with meditation, discourse, and movement. Throughout the retreat, you can ask questions through written notes. On the last day, the silence is broken with a sharing circle, although participation is optional. Once the silence is broken, the retreat officially concludes.
During the retreat, you will learn and practice various techniques including the self-inquiry method of Ramana Maharshi, practices from the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, mindfulness practices from Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, walking meditation, contemplation of Sufi wisdom and devotional poetry, practices from Christian and Jewish mystical traditions, and teachings from Advaita Vedanta.
Please note that this is a sample schedule and is subject to change.
The retreat is happening in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
Samyama Eatery will serve you three detoxifying and nourishing vegetarian meals per day, including tea and filtered water, all included in the price. They support your practice in a pleasant and tasty way.

January 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t always feel like there was room for questions, and sometimes the instructors weren’t accessible.
There was a difference among the students. Some didn’t have 200YTT and teaching experience. But the staff always had a smile, worked hard, and kept things tidy. The toilets were checked multiple times a day. Beds were made every day, and we got fresh towels twice a week and a fresh bed once.
The instructors shared their personal stories, and we had retreats on silence and kundalini/tantra. I loved the philosophy lectures and learning about the nervous system, fascia, Ayurveda, and PRANAYAMA!!!
I learned so much about myself and had an amazing inner journey with lots of new insights. Thank you for that!! Overall, it was an incredible experience that I am extremely grateful for. It was the perfect 300-hour YTT for me. Samyama’s vision was exactly what I was looking for – energetic work and teachings.

December 21, 2022 at 12:00 amThere’s nothing we could have changed. The humidity is constant, but it makes the vegetation so beautiful at the same time. People, philosophy, and genuine connections. The quality of education and food. We nourish both our minds and our stomachs. The location is close to everything.

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amThe experience truly changed my life. I’ve been practicing yoga for a while, but I’ve never met such genuine, wise, and skilled teachers who radiate love. Each teacher adds their own value and personality to the program, making it an incredibly transformative experience on so many levels. I’m really impressed with how well they balanced all the different elements of the training. They made time for theory, practice, deep self-inquiry, and even fun. You can really feel that these teachers truly live what they teach. Spending this month with them was an amazing opportunity for learning, and I’m so grateful for it. Thank you.
The community that formed during the training was incredibly supportive and inspiring, and it’s still going strong even after the course ended.
I loved that the training took place outside of the busy streets, surrounded by beautiful rice paddies. It was the perfect balance of tranquility while still being close enough to enjoy Ubud if you wanted to.
And the food! Oh my, it was absolutely amazing. Such a treat!
It was such a relief to have a driver waiting for me when I arrived in Bali.

April 3, 2022 at 12:00 amRooms without AC have an issue with humidity, resulting in mold. It would be amazing if these rooms could be furnished with dehumidifiers immediately. The training and overall atmosphere exceeded any expectations I had. I’m incredibly thankful for this wonderful experience!
