The classes are typically themed around animals, nature, or stories, and incorporate yoga postures, breathing techniques, mindfulness exercises, and relaxation techniques. Kids yoga is an excellent way to help children develop strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, as well as improve their concentration and focus. It can also help children manage stress and anxiety, promote relaxation and better sleep, and boost their overall sense of well-being. Through the practice of kids yoga, children learn important life skills such as mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-regulation. They learn how to be more present in the moment, how to manage their emotions, and how to cultivate positive relationships with others. It also provides a safe and supportive space for children to express themselves, build confidence, and explore their creativity. Overall, kids yoga is an excellent way to promote physical health, mental wellness, and emotional resilience in children. Now, let’s talk about the yogic diet. It’s a plant-based eating plan that emphasizes fresh, organic, and whole foods. No additives, preservatives, or artificial sweeteners. It’s based on the principles of Ayurveda, a holistic healing practice from Indonesia that recognizes the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Instead of meat, fish, poultry, eggs, onion, garlic, alcohol, and caffeine, a yogic diet focuses on fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and herbs.

So, what are the benefits of this diet? Well, for starters, it promotes physical health by providing important nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants. It also boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation, and lowers the risk of chronic diseases. On top of that, it enhances mental clarity by avoiding heavy, oily, or stimulating foods, improving concentration, memory, and focus. And let’s not forget about spiritual growth. The yogic diet helps cultivate a pure and harmonious state of mind and body, which is essential for spiritual development. It even balances energy levels by consuming foods that align with your body’s energy.

I’m not sure what the agreement was between World Peace Yoga school and the hotel, but I think we could have gotten better quality food for the money we paid. When I booked this teacher training, I thought I would be okay with eating the same meal every day. But I was definitely wrong. We were mostly served steamed or fried rice, french fries with vegetables, tofu and tempeh, and salad, twice a day. Sometimes the salad wasn’t washed properly and there was even mold on my plate a few times. I would have loved to have more nutritious ingredients like quinoa, lentils, and other nuts besides peanuts, even if it was only every few days. The breakfast was good though!

Another thing that bothered me was that the teacher training I actually booked was completely different from what I experienced in the end. The hotel and other things in the photos were nothing like what I saw. It seems like this program was new and hadn’t been done before. The title of the training had “Ayurveda” in it, so I expected more discussion on that topic than the two lessons we had in the end. But despite all that, I’m happy with what I learned and experienced! I just wanted to let others know that whatever you book, it might turn out to be completely different from what you expect (maybe that’s a good life lesson anyway). ? I loved learning from the teachers and deepening my knowledge about Yoga. Thank you Ashu for incorporating your Indian culture into the lessons, although sometimes the storytelling made it hard for me to connect to the main topic. But I felt it was important to hear about the roots of Yoga.

The schedule was packed, but that’s exactly what I wanted to fully immerse myself in the experience. The quality of the lessons was exceptionally high and the teachers were dedicated to teaching us thoroughly, which was the most important thing to me! Thank you so much. ??

The hotel resort was really clean and I absolutely loved the spacious room I had all to myself. The rooftop was the best spot for meditation. Plus, having a small gym was a nice bonus!

I just finished my 200hr Kundalini YTT with World Peace Yoga School and it was incredible! Bali provided such a beautiful setting, but what truly made this experience amazing were the teachers. They passionately shared their knowledge and wisdom with us, creating an engaging environment where we could heal, learn, and grow. I am forever grateful for this enriching experience and for the wonderful GuruJi and HariPriya.

Il y avait des travaux dans le bâtiment qui faisaient du bruit, mais ils se sont terminés rapidement. L’équipe d’enseignement était disponible, réactive et proposait des activités annexes, notamment une initiation au Gayatri mantra.

I loved everything about it! My 200 hour Kundalini Teacher training was absolutely amazing. Words can’t describe how incredible the experience was. It’s definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life, and I’m already excited to go back for more.

The teachers were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and clear in the way they taught us. I was in awe of their expertise.

The food was also a highlight. The kitchen staff prepared three fresh and diverse meals every day, and let me tell you, they were delicious. I never got sick during my time there, which was a huge relief.

Not only that, but the front of house staff were always there to help with any questions I had. They were so helpful and always had a solution to any problem that came up.

And lastly, I can’t praise the people there enough. Everyone was so kind, caring, respectful, and friendly. It truly made the experience so much more enjoyable.

The yoga hall was dirty and felt too hot or cold because of the rooftop construction. I caught a cold after it rained for two days. The props were extremely dirty and had a bad smell. The atmosphere at this school wasn’t great; it felt too commercial and lacked positive energy. I couldn’t complete the course because of these issues. Everyone in my group was frustrated. It was supposed to be a nice experience, but it turned out to be the opposite. The group was nice, though. Some of the lessons were good, and the school’s location and view were pretty nice.

I regretted staying at the school, and I would recommend paying for just the course and staying/eating elsewhere. It would have made my experience better and saved me money staying elsewhere and eating out every meal. I ended up eating out most of the time because many students before me got very sick from the food and water. The food wasn’t balanced and lacked nutrition, mostly consisting of carbs and oil. The accommodation was basic, with a bed that was even harder than my wood bed during Vipassana! If I had stayed at a hostel, I would have had a cleaner space, no 10:30pm curfew, and a more comfortable bed. And probably fewer night terrors too! Moving on to the teachers here, they are all amazing. I had the pleasure of being taught by Dr. Lata Ji, Sunil Ji, Kanna Ji, Dr. Himanshu Ji, Naveen Ji, and a special shoutout to Siddha Ji. Every single teacher was extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields and had a way of explaining things that really expanded my mind. Everyday I felt incredibly lucky to be learning from such highly educated and intelligent individuals.

You can’t clean anything because there are no tools or equipment. It’s impossible to mop or wash the sink in this room.

The food was decent for the first two weeks, but then they started serving us the same things every day. I ended up eating out on the street every day… I came here to get in shape, but I actually ended up gaining weight :/

I really liked the group of people who came for certification. We all got along really well. It was a lot of fun and there was always something going on.

I absolutely loved the ashtanga classes and the adjustments and alignments with Ashu. The anatomy classes with Himanshu were also great. They were my favorite classes. I also really enjoyed the philosophy classes 🙂

I had a wonderful experience with this training! The instruction for the physical part of the class, specifically the asanas, was absolutely sensational! Ashu really impressed me with his extensive knowledge of the physical aspects of yoga.

The Yoga Philosophy class was excellent as well. Vishnu Panigahi had immense knowledge and his ability to share his wisdom was truly remarkable. It was clear that he spoke with so much love and compassion, and his words have had a lasting impact on me.

I can’t express enough how amazing Vishnu Panigahi was. He truly surpassed all expectations.

This training has truly transformed my life!

I struggled with using WhatsApp because my phone didn’t have enough storage. However, the app itself was great and I really enjoyed communicating with everyone during the training. The training was absolutely amazing! We delved into beautiful philosophy, practiced inspiring mantras, and had uplifting chanting sessions. We also had a wonderful yoga tantra practice. The teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and had a lot of heart. Guru Vishnu, in particular, has a heart of gold and emits radiance and peace. He generously shared his time, knowledge, resources, and love. This 3-day training was a true blessing and opened my life to so much more than I could have ever imagined. I had always dreamed of an experience like this. I highly recommend any training with Guru Vishnu. It’s a decision you won’t regret, and you’ll find growth in both your heart and your practice.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the teachers who introduced me to the world of Indian philosophy through yoga. Guru Vishnu ji, the founder of this school, teaches us with an incredible passion. His energy, warm heart, and immense wisdom have truly inspired me and motivated me to delve deeper.

This school always responds promptly, making me feel their genuine sincerity and warm welcome right from the first time I inquired for information.

I had been longing for a chance to go to Rishikesh and take a TTC (Teacher Training Course) for a long time, but it was quite complicated to make it happen. I am incredibly thankful to have had this opportunity online this time.

I say thank you with the utmost respect and appreciation.

I had taken a previous course before coming into this one, and I had certain expectations based on that. However, I was truly shocked by how different this course was. It’s on a whole other level. The teachers are right in front of us, just like in a classroom. They address any questions, confusion, or misunderstandings right away. Plus, they are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The main focus of the instruction is to make the experience enjoyable while also encouraging us to develop skills like focus, confidence, and mind/body awareness. This creates competent teachers who are healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

The course provides well-researched and easy-to-understand material. I’m confident that I’ll be prepared to take on any challenges that life throws at me after completing this course. It was a pleasure to participate in this online course, especially considering it was their first one. I’m so impressed that my wife and I plan to attend an in-person course at the school once Covid-19 is over. We’re excited to meet Guruji and the other teachers. I’ve even already signed up for a Tantra course and plan to continue with further courses. I feel like this is the beginning of a lifelong journey.

The course was presented in a highly professional manner, with great clarity and attention to detail. I am convinced that this marks a new beginning for World Peace Yoga School, and I hope that God blesses this school.

Yogi Vishnu’s daily lectures were packed with information and he always made jokes with us and answered all our questions. But the real highlight was the Tantra practices with Flavia Radha. They completely transformed me. I feel lighter and more connected now. I loved those practices so much, and I’m thrilled that they sent us recordings of the classes afterwards, so we can continue practicing whenever we want. It was out of anyone’s control, but World Peace Yoga School had already anticipated this and found solutions. As a bonus, we received all the recordings of the classes! The Internet in India can be quite temperamental, so we had to be patient with it. However, it was never a major problem as we always managed to fix it, although it was challenging at times.

Let me tell you about this online course, which covered accommodation and food. The course itself was absolutely fantastic! It was divided into two parts: theory and practical. And guess what? I enjoyed both!

Now, the theory part can be a bit difficult to grasp, especially if you don’t have any prior knowledge of Hindu gods and goddesses. So, I would highly recommend having some background knowledge in that area.

As for the practical classes, they were simply incredible! Each day, I felt completely cleansed, replenished, and filled with love. The teachers delivered these classes with confidence and deep understanding, which was truly inspiring. It’s amazing how they were able to connect with us through a screen, showcasing the excellence of the school and the course.

I would definitely recommend this course to my friend, and I encourage everyone to approach it with an open mind. I learned so much that I can now incorporate into my own practice and teaching.

The facilities at this school are absolutely horrible. There’s mold growing out of the walls, cleanliness is non-existent, and the food consists solely of carbs. The kitchen is incredibly nasty. There were four of us in the class, with three of us living on campus, and all of us ended up getting very sick. To make matters worse, there’s no hot water in the female dorms and we experience water outages at least once a day. The staff is incredibly impolite and all they do is sit on their phones. Even the owner, during kirtan, is constantly glued to his phone. We enrolled in this school to obtain a 300-hour certification, but we didn’t even come close. We barely received half the required hours and yet they still gave us a certificate. This school is a complete scam and they shouldn’t be allowed to provide certifications. They clearly don’t meet the requirements set by Yoga Alliance.

Thankfully, BookYogaRetreats assisted us in trying to get a refund. In the end, we only received a very small refund from the school and BookYogaRetreats refunded us the commission. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. On the positive side, the location was central and had easy access to everything. The anatomy, hatha, and alignment classes were good with knowledgeable teachers.

And none of this would be possible without the amazing, professional, and inspirational teachers and founder. You can see how much yoga is a part of their daily lives. The staff, both at reception and in the kitchen, are friendly and always willing to assist with a smile. The atmosphere and energy of the place are incredible, with a light and bright feel. Not to mention the beautiful garden area and a spacious balcony overlooking the mountains. The classrooms are clean and fully equipped. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I knew the ashram wouldn’t be a fancy hotel, but it had everything I needed. It was a bit colder in December than I expected, but I had enough blankets, so it was fine. The hot water for showers didn’t last long, but it’s okay because cold water really helped wake me up in the mornings! The 200 hour Kundalini yoga teacher training was even better than I expected. The staff and teachers were incredible – so knowledgeable and friendly. They became like family. Even though it was an intensive course (waking up at 5am and going to bed at 10pm), I highly recommend it to others interested in the spiritual side of yoga. There were plenty of opportunities to practice meditation, asanas, and more with the group. And there was enough free time to explore the town and have fun too!

We only spent 10 minutes on teaching methodology. Honestly, I thought we would spend more time on building a sequence, correct postures, and what to do before and after practice. I think starting from the second week, we should ask students to practice for 30 minutes every day and provide constructive feedback. After all, I chose this course to become a teacher and not just to do yoga every day.

Speaking of feedback, as a student, I would appreciate constructive criticism from the teachers instead of just hearing “very good”. I want to know how I’m progressing and what I need to improve on. Throughout the course, we asked the teachers for feedback multiple times, but they always replied with just “very good”.

Now let’s talk about the food. As a yogi, I expected the food to be bland or at least not spicy. However, the food was the same every lunch and dinner, with the only difference being chapati during dinner. It was heavy and had a lot of black peppers. I specifically asked for bland food, but for a whole month, all I got was boiled carrots and potatoes. As a yogi, I expected food that nourishes my body, mind, and soul.

Regarding the course manual, in my opinion, it should include adjustments for each pose. The anatomy section should provide general information about each body system. The muscles are not explained well enough, and it should also cover which poses are suitable for different diseases or muscle imbalances, like herniated disks.

Through this experience, I deepened my self-reflection and changed my perspective on life and the world. I learned various breathing techniques that can enhance my daily life. I gained new skills and knowledge that I intend to share with others. Additionally, I appreciated the opportunity to live with people from different countries and learn how to share dining and personal spaces. It was a great experience because I could be myself without pressure to change or become someone else. I am truly grateful for the time and knowledge shared by each teacher.

The atmosphere is perfect for exploring your inner self and connecting with others on a spiritual journey. Rishikesh is a beautiful city and the people there are amazing too. They falsely advertised the course timetable and what’s included, the location and accommodation. We were given fewer teaching hours than we expected and they didn’t cover any teaching methodology. It made the overall vibe disappointing and tense, definitely not what you would expect from a yogic experience. I wouldn’t recommend it. I would describe it more as a Yin intensive rather than a teacher training. On the positive side, the location, accommodation, and food were good, and some of the staff were very knowledgeable. They did listen to our complaints and tried to make adjustments.

I absolutely loved everything about my experience at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. Even though the living conditions were a bit humbling compared to what I’m used to, I felt safe the entire time and it’s all part of the experience. Some students complained about the food, but you can’t please everyone. Personally, I had no complaints and if you’re not satisfied, you always have the option to try a local cafe or restaurant where you can get a whole meal for less than $4 USD.

I can’t fully express how wonderful and fulfilling it was to take the 200hr yoga certification course here. From the moment I arrived at the school, I felt at home. Guru Vishnu, the owner, greeted us at the entrance and a volunteer helped with our luggage and showed us to our rooms. Everyone here is so kind and they become like friends. My yoga belief and knowledge have truly deepened during my time here.

Initially, I had some doubts about taking the yoga course in Rishikesh instead of doing it weekly in NYC, but I was blown away and extremely grateful that I made the choice to complete my certification here. The teachers are simply the best and they have so much knowledge to share. Classes start early in the morning and end late in the evening, six days a week. It pushes you physically and mentally, but it’s all worth it in the end.

I could go on and on about all the amazing people and experiences I’ve had at WPYS, but there’s not enough space here, haha. I’m really looking forward to completing my 300hr course here, hopefully within the next year or two, once I apply everything I’ve learned at home. 🙂

The food here at school is sometimes very spicy for me, but breakfasts are really good! The teaching quality and the games are great, and we’re so close to the Ganges river and inviting cafes. The locals in Rishikesh are so friendly, and the energy of this beautiful place is amazing.

The food had too many carbs for me. I really wish they would serve vegetables in the morning. But hey, if you need a special meal, you can always ask for it and they’ll take care of it. I found out a little later that it’s possible. I gotta say, this city is absolutely incredible.
The school is stunning, and the atmosphere is so lively that you instantly feel at home and comfortable. They have all the amenities you could possibly need. So just grab your mat and get ready to have an incredible and unforgettable experience!

I went on this retreat to unwind after a tough mission in a war zone and also to celebrate my birthday. The staff and instructors at the Samadhi Ashram went out of their way to make it an unforgettable experience. And let me tell you, it definitely was! Bathing in the Ganges at sunrise and meditating on the balcony at sunset were incredible moments. Plus, the food was absolutely fantastic. The location itself is like something out of a fairy tale – so beautiful. So, all in all, I had an amazing time. Namaste!

The Retreat took place in a place that was under construction, but it’s going to be beautiful soon. There will be a nice dining area, lovely rooms, and a bright yoga space on the roof. They’re also working on facilities for massages.

During my 6-day Yoga Retreat, everyone was super helpful and friendly. They really wanted the best for us and cared about us a lot. They made sure we got to experience everything we wanted and even took us on some unexpected adventures.

There was a holistic program during the day with different types of yoga classes like Hatha, Pranayam, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Meditation. We also had a daily excursion.

Being there felt like having a little family around me.

We knew the bedding wouldn’t be 5-star since we decided to stay in an ashram. Luckily, we just asked for more blankets and it was sorted out easily.

Oh man, there wasn’t enough time in Rishikesh! Our schedule was packed, so it was tough to see all the sights. But the classes were amazing, and I couldn’t bear to miss them. I suggest adding a few more days to make sure you can fit everything in! The people, the town, and the endless activities were all fantastic. The cherry on top was arriving during the international yoga festival and Holi festival. It was pure magic!

We had a little hiccup in the retreat midway when we had to switch accommodations and locations for the sessions. But luckily, our yoga, Pranayama & meditation teacher Rajiv did an amazing job. He gave us a brief overview of each technique’s background and reasons, and then we had extensive practice in the mornings and afternoons.
During the day, we also had excursions that allowed us to catch a glimpse of the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayans, the Ganges, and some spiritual sites.
A special shoutout to Vishnu Ji, the founder guru of the world peace yoga school. His high spiritual energy and warm heart can be felt in every aspect of the place. Thank you, Vishnu Ji! Om!

I was hoping for different teachers, but we got assigned the ones we were expecting. We had planned to stay at the Tapovan resort, but they took us somewhere else. The place we stayed at was okay, but not worth the amount we paid. It was challenging to communicate because the staff didn’t speak English. It felt like they were laughing and talking about us. It was strange to see them sleeping on the floor of the dining room when we had to wake them up at 7:30 am. The person who took us to the Beatles Ashram was nice, but she had to ask for directions and didn’t know who the Beatles were, haha! Most days, we ended up doing our own thing. Overall, the trip was disorganized and frustrating, so I wouldn’t consider coming back. On the bright side, the yoga teacher was pretty good and nice.

The food was neither fresh nor detoxifying. They didn’t serve any juices or tea.
No one bothered to clean our room during our stay.
One of the yoga rooms had a monkey urinate in it, but we still had our class there because there weren’t enough materials.
    The trips were disorganized.
We had to repeatedly ask for our massage, and when we finally got it, it only lasted for 30 minutes. The massage rooms were also dirty.
The retreat package had overlapping, basic classes.
The kitchen staff, however, were very friendly.

The rooms felt freezing cold. When I asked for heat, they told me to insert the dusty loose wires into the hole in my room. The sheets were old and dirty. The room was so bleak and chilly that I couldn’t even shower because my towel wouldn’t dry and I would freeze when I got out. I ended up showering at my friend’s place just around the corner. I only went on 3 excursions, even though I stayed for 5 days and should have had 2 more. When I talked to other guests, they mentioned that they paid a lot less and were much happier in their accommodations. The staff didn’t offer any advice or assistance with trips. I was the only person on the retreat that week and often felt like I was being a bother. It seemed like they only cared about taking my money upon arrival. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it. However, the instructor was very friendly and I enjoyed his teaching style and our excursions. It’s strange that he isn’t mentioned in the reviews. On a positive note, the massage I received was lovely.

I arrived as planned on Dec 25, but my room wasn’t ready due to plumbing issues. They moved me to a not-so-great place across the street. When I voiced my displeasure about the unfairness, they transferred me to a better place. Unfortunately, my room still wasn’t ready for another two nights. By then, I decided it was too late to switch rooms, so I left the retreat program and took yoga classes at nearby studios instead. The assigned yoga instructor was subpar, teaching us as if we were in a teacher training program rather than a retreat. He kept repeating himself. WPY didn’t provide what I signed up for and wouldn’t refund my deposit, even though they were the ones in the wrong.

I felt cheated and won’t be returning or recommending the school. The food on Christmas night was delicious and elaborate.

Someone from the retreat came to pick me up from the bus station and even took me shopping since it was freezing and I needed to buy thermals. The driver and his partner were incredibly kind and considerate.

The trip to the Shiv temple, where you could see the Himalayas, was absolutely fantastic.

During a 15-day stay, half of the price covers the classes and meals, while the other half is for accommodation. At a price of 600 euros per month, you will have a shared room with a bathroom. The bathroom is very dirty (even though it may appear clean for India), the sheets and towels were all stained, and the blankets and pillows smelled really bad. Plastic littered the garden beds along with some forgotten old laundry. I won’t even mention the dishwashing area, which was frankly disgusting and revolting (the dishes drained into old juice), and the water filter was dripping yellow (definitely do not drink the water!). In short, for a price that approaches European rates, you’ll get a slum. Otherwise, you can find accommodation of the same quality for three times cheaper in the immediate vicinity. If you still plan on sleeping there, don’t forget your towel and pillow if you have the space! Quality education with very interesting classes.

My room had a nice view and was very clean with hot water.
The food is delicious and you can eat as much as you want. You can also order tea or coffee anytime, which is really important because not all places offer this.
Guruji Vishnu ensures everyone is happy and even took me on his motorbike to his pranayama classes in the morning because I expressed interest in attending more.

We had to leave our new family, but my wife and I are very grateful to WPYS for making our week retreat unforgettable.

    1. They met us at the airport on time.
    2. The stay was very good, with spacious, clean rooms equipped with everything we needed. The yoga hall was large and well-stocked, with an additional hall on the roof offering amazing views.
    3. The food was perfect, thanks to the kitchen staff who provided fresh, light, nutritious, and tasty meals while always considering our preferences.
    4. The location was very nice, with plenty of small shops and places to eat and enjoy Rishikesh. The Beatles ashram was within walking distance, just 2.5km away.
    5. The teachers were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help.

I really didn’t like the living conditions of the staff. It’s something that really needs to change. They should be paid way better (considering the price we pay to go there) and get rooms with fewer people and AC. The energy of the people you meet in a yoga retreat is absolutely beautiful. I learned a lot from all my classmates and we were constantly sharing questions and nice energy. I changed both physically and mentally because I became way more flexible and started learning how to live in the present, and I love it. India isn’t the cleanest or most organized country, but if you have a good attitude, you will enjoy it a lot. To be honest, it all depends on you. It’s an entire experience and I absolutely recommend it. Thanks so much for this experience.

When they deliver the rooms, several complaints are made about the lack of bed linen or towels. The quarters are as pictured but not so clean and without towels or sheets. You ask them about it and they are very nice, but everything is very grimy and frequently used. Everyone has to buy their own toilet paper. When you wash your clothes, they will take years to dry because there is nowhere to put clothing, and it is very uncomfortable to have that look in the Chamber where… With those details resolved, the stay would be wonderful.

The teachers are very good, and it’s lovely to share with friends from all over the world. The location of the school is good. All the school staff are very friendly in general.

However, many students experienced diarrhea while staying here. We’re not sure if it’s due to adapting to India or just a general food problem. The teachers teach enthusiastically and demonstrate a yogi lifestyle and mindset themselves. They create a great environment that encourages students to exchange thoughts and ideas. I’ve learned a lot about myself and life here. Plus, they go above and beyond the official 200-hour requirement, teaching us about Ayurveda (which I love!), yoga therapy (included in the 300-hour program), and more.

The electricity kept going out constantly, but I was able to tolerate it.

I didn’t have water for days, and it was tough to deal with, but I managed to get through it.

I slipped and fell on the stairs because there were no railings. When I told the staff about it, they just laughed and blamed the language barrier, which is unacceptable.

The lack of cleanliness in the kitchen made everyone sick, which is inexcusable.

The rooms and bathrooms were filthy, which is completely unacceptable.

There was no organization for the Sunday excursion, but I guess that’s just how things are in India.

I had to adjust to walking on Laxman Juhla bridge on the first day, dodging scooters, monkeys, cows, and rushing people. But it’s all part of the experience and now that I’m back, I miss it all! Everything. Once I got used to the chaotic streets, I discovered the magic of Rishikesh. The power of the river Ganga is palpable on the beaches, you can feel its sound and energy – that’s why it’s considered divine. In the evening, the mountains surround Rishikesh like black clouds against the grey sky and the town echoes with prayers from the ashrams. The people here are amazing, not focused on money, welcoming, and spiritual. The yoga teachers are fantastic too, very knowledgeable and skilled at correcting your postures professionally. I definitely plan on returning.
