December 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed this week. It was the perfect mix of practical and theoretical work, and they even offer a fun evening program. Plus, they made sure my accommodation was close to the yoga training center so I could easily walk there. I definitely recommend it.

November 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI participated in the 200H Yoga Teacher Training program and it totally blew me away! It was such a beautiful experience that helped me dive deeper into the world of yoga. I learned so much not only about physical asanas but also about the spirituality and many other aspects of yoga.
The instructors were amazing – they were knowledgeable, warm-hearted, and passionate. With their support, our group created a safe space for personal growth, self-discovery, and sharing. It was all very well organized, I highly recommend it! ❤️

I really enjoyed the small group size. It meant we could all chat and make friends without feeling like we were just a number.
The teachers were welcoming and knowledgeable. I felt like I was in good hands and learned so much about yoga, the lifestyle, and myself.
My time at ULU Yoga in Uluwatu was amazing. I’m grateful for this wonderful experience!

November 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved everything! I wish I had signed up for 21 days instead of 14! Uluyoga has really nailed it with providing us the perfect environment to fully immerse ourselves in our learning experience. The teachers are friendly and easy to approach, the admin staff are caring and reliable. The classes were organized in a way that we got to practice teaching every day, which helped build our confidence even if we had never taught before. I couldn’t wait for classes each day, especially with my awesome new friends by my side.

November 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI stayed at One Degree Sunset Hill, which is located on the main road so it can get a bit noisy at night. Just a heads up for light sleepers! Despite that, the place was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room 🙁 I still rated it a 5 though, even though I felt the room was more of a 4/5 quality for the price. I completed my 200-hour YTT with Uluyoga in Bali.
The teachers were all absolutely amazing! It was the perfect blend of authentic yoga with caring and humble humans. Being in Bali close to the beaches was the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a well-planned school with a good balance of different teachers’ energies and knowledge, this is the place for you! I loved experiencing a little bit of everything in terms of yoga styles. It really helps you discover what you prefer. Definitely worth a try.
The included breakfast was delicious, offering sweet and savory options daily. The shala was peaceful and conveniently located, with plenty of good restaurants nearby for other meals. A huge thank you to the ULU Yoga team! Heloise was an incredible lead teacher with vibrant energy and a wealth of knowledge on chakras. Manjeet was a fantastic philosophy teacher, blending tradition with humor in the modern world. Salome’s traditional approach to Ashtanga, Eddie’s Arial Yoga, Lloyd and Flo’s Acro Yoga, and Krystal’s flowy Vinyasa were all wonderful experiences. And Tania, as the coordinator, was incredibly helpful and caring! Each teacher brought their own special touch to the program.
I highly recommend ULU Yoga – it’s an experience you won’t regret!

November 15, 2023 at 12:00 amHonestly, I loved everything. The organization, food, teachers, class schedule – everything was done so well. It was an amazing, life-changing experience. I’m new to the yoga world and didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed every class. The teachers were all unique and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Our group of students became like family to me. We shared experiences, cried, laughed, practiced meditation, pranayamas, and asanas together. We went for massages, had meals together – it was an unforgettable growing experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to enrich my life with so much knowledge and tools to navigate life’s hurdles and enjoy beautiful moments ahead.

October 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI personally got a little bored in Uluwatu – I think the only downside of it was that. I believe it would have been fantastic if this program was in Ubud. I loved my training here. I completed the 3-week 200-hour advanced course – I loved the hybrid program for its flexibility. I found it to be an excellent all-encompassing program that introduced me to many different styles of yoga. I thought most of the instructors were great!

September 1, 2023 at 12:00 amWell…Bali can be unpredictable at times. If you keep an open mindset towards changes in the schedule or program, you’ll be fine. The team adeptly handled challenges like construction noise at the venue. I suggest going for the premium package for onsite hotel rooms with the shala if you can; it’s worth it. The content and learning format were top-notch. The online videos complemented the in-person program well. The instructors were genuine, caring, and knowledgeable. We got to experience a wide range of yoga styles and had a blast. I felt well taken care of and secure. I highly recommend Ulu Yoga for anyone seeking an authentic teacher training experience.

August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amWe loved using the swing that Ulu created – it’s super easy! Excited to try it out on regular swings back home. The Aerial Teacher Training at ULU yoga was amazing. Eddie made sure everything went smoothly and it was well organized. Bamboo, where we stayed, was so charming with friendly staff and delicious food. The days were perfectly balanced with theory, practice, and rest time. Minty, Heloise, and Lloyd were fantastic teachers. Eddie’s morning aerial flow was great. The course was adaptable for all levels, with half of us being yoga teachers and some new to aerial yoga. We all felt grateful for the experience and became close as a group. Our stay at Taman Sari was also fantastic.

August 23, 2023 at 12:00 amI found the yoga teacher training and community at Ulu Yoga to be a lifesaver. Eddie and the team supported me every step of the way, especially when I was dealing with health issues. Thanks to their help, I made it through training without missing a single class and grew into a confident instructor. The support and encouragement I received from my yoga family made all the difference. Ulu Yoga’s high standard and top-notch instructors are a testament to their dedication. I’ll always carry the love and care I found there into my own teaching practice. I also appreciate the aerial yoga swing Eddie created – it’s so much easier to use than my old one. I’ll never forget the incredible people at Ulu Yoga and I hope more lives can be positively impacted as mine was.

August 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThe only thing that wasn’t perfect was the 3D accommodation. They didn’t clean it as often and there were a couple of times when there was no water. Some people might be bothered by that, but it didn’t bother me at all. It was all part of the experience and I embraced it, living like a native. I loved it and would stay there again. The communication with the girls in the emails was brilliant from the start. They gave me all the support I needed to feel safe and confident about the course. All the online classes were so inspiring and exciting – I’ve never liked studying so much in my life. I love all the teachers, but Manjeet was my favorite. His wisdom and energy came through the screen. His classes gave me the experience I needed to understand Yoga philosophy, Pranayama, and the benefits of training our minds. Cody’s Anatomy classes were very interesting too. His dynamic way of teaching made it easier to understand. It was a tough decision between Thailand and Indonesia for the in-person part, but my heart chose Bali. And I’m so grateful it did. Uluwatu is an amazing town with incredible energy, beaches, and restaurants. Every person I met at our Shala has a special place in my heart – from my classmates to the teachers to everyone at Le Bamboo. They created a supportive community where we not only learned new skills but also how to connect and love ourselves better. I loved all the activities Ulu provided, helping us build confidence as teachers and be creative and intuitive in our classes. I’m so grateful I found this course and had this experience.

August 18, 2023 at 12:00 amThere was only 1 toilet at the original shala, but the ULU program was fantastic. It offered a mix of theory, yoga history, vinyasa, hatha, yin, acro, and aerial yoga. The teachers were knowledgeable, engaging, and just all-around great humans, making the learning experience brilliant. The mix of students from around the world with different yoga backgrounds and ages made the 3 weeks a blast and led to great friendships. The new ULU shala is well-appointed with stunning views. Being able to choose your own accommodation and find your own meals was a real plus. I stayed at the Hidden Hills Villas, which were gorgeous and an easy walk to both ULU Shalas.

August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amThis training transformed me, leaving me inspired, knowledgeable, and with lifelong friends. The daily asana labs were a standout, giving us practice teaching various poses and honing our cues. August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amHere are a few things I want to mention:
1. The accommodations are very basic, nothing fancy, so you’ll need to manage your expectations.
Helpful Review2. We had some miscommunication and coordination issues due to two classes going on at the same time, but it’s understandable. This was my first yoga teacher training and my first time in Bali – the three-week experience was absolutely amazing!
It was more than just learning yoga and training as a yoga teacher – I’m truly grateful for everything I learned there. I learned about self-love, being brave, staying humble, and much more. I highly recommend it for the following reasons:
1. They offer a variety of interesting non-traditional yoga courses like aerial, acro, beach, and SUP. I’m an aerial yoga lover and had a blast with Ulu’s unique hammock!
2. The teachers are caring and knowledgeable, and my classmates were from all over the world, making every day a learning experience about different cultures and life stories.
3. The location in Uluwatu is less touristy, close to the beach, and has great restaurants and cafes.
4. They provide a textbook on-site and an online learning platform you can access for about a year, which I found very helpful. You can revisit it as needed.

August 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t like that no one told us we would lose a whole day of on-site training (due to day of silence) until we arrived. We were still paying the same price, which didn’t seem fair. But most of the teachers were absolutely amazing and they made the whole experience incredible. I learned so much from both a teaching and self-discovery perspective. Plus, I loved learning acro!

August 5, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t have any negative experiences during the teacher training itself!
I prefer walking over taking taxis or scooters, but Uluwatu isn’t very pedestrian-friendly. There are hardly any walkways, but you can still make your way to the beach on foot. Most people opt for taxis or scooters instead of walking.
There’s a lot of construction happening in Uluwatu, but we couldn’t hear it at the Shala. It was a peaceful environment for practicing yoga with experienced and kind teachers. They provided excellent instructions and assistance to students. I really enjoyed learning Aerial, SUP, and Acroyoga.
The breakfast was tasty, and the long lunch break allowed us to relax by the pool before afternoon classes and teaching exams. The ULUyoga team took care of everything, from hotel arrangements to local taxi drivers for airport transfers.
The structured online hours and high-quality videos were helpful, and you can access them even after the course ends. If I had more vacation days, I would have loved to stay longer and complete the 300-hour course right away. I hope to return to Bali in the future for another course with ULUyoga.

I experienced some medical emergencies unrelated to yoga or ulu yoga, but they supported me throughout the whole journey. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete the course in person, but we easily found a solution and I’m really enjoying the online course. The communication was always clear and friendly. The teachers taught with passion, keeping it interesting and interactive. The space was consistently clean, breakfast was delicious, and I have no complaints at all. August 2, 2023 at 12:00 amMaybe the mat isn’t always that clean, so it might be best to bring my own. The examination seems too long – maybe 60 minutes would be better for beginners. I really love the teaching vibe and environment here. Doing yoga in a bamboo shala with teachers from different backgrounds is great. I learn so much every day, both physically and philosophically. My favorite part is the interaction in class, like the sharing circle and all the activities. And the sup yoga and acro yoga are amazing! I never expected to experience so much here. It was an emotional ride and I felt safe with the teachers, group, and surroundings. I loved doing yoga in the Le Bamboo Shala with a view of the ocean, surrounded by gigantic green plants. July 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t really have any complaints. Everything was great. Huge thanks to ULU Yoga for giving me such an incredible time during my on-site Training in Uluwatu, Bali. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll always be grateful for. We laughed, we cried, we learned so much in those two weeks! Not only did I learn how to design and teach classes, but I also learned a lot about myself and my practice. My favorite parts were the spa trip and trying out different yoga styles like acro, aerial, yin, and SUP yoga. Now I feel ready to teach vinyasa and hatha yoga and continue on my spiritual journey. Thank you for everything!
Oh, and I have to mention the amazing breakfast options. I became obsessed with smoothie bowls! 😀

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI won’t book this teacher training again, sorry. This was not my first YTT but it was definitely the “least Yogi” one so far. I felt like the owners were just trying to make as much money as possible since Koh Phangan is such a touristy island. We didn’t do much meditation, didn’t learn about Yoga philosophy or spirituality, and didn’t have any anatomy lessons. We only had one Acro and one SUB Yoga session. Breakfast was included, but it wasn’t enough to keep us nourished.
Some participants had just arrived with no knowledge, while others had been there for two weeks already doing their 200h or 300h training. It was a very mixed level group, which led to frustration when we started another anatomy or philosophy lesson.
The teachers were great, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely attend another class with them.

Having 5 different teachers, each one inspiring, wise, and generous in their own way, was truly a blessing. They all provided us with tools and words to guide us in our journey as yoga teachers and human beings. I am so grateful to have met them and learned from their stories.
We got to experience a different shala every week, allowing us to explore various locations. The teachers and organizers were always there to help and resolve any issues that arose. It was a safe space to grow, explore, and reconnect with ourselves.
I initially came to escape the winter and learn more about yoga, but I gained so much more. I found deep understanding, support, and amazing souls, teachers, and friends. Thank you all for your love and presence!

February 22, 2023 at 12:00 amIt would be nice to have another day off to enjoy some free time activities with the Organizer. The resort staff was too slow for the appointed breakfast. Even after addressing the issue, there was no improvement. It would have been nice to have some extras like discounts at the restaurant, laundry services, or scooters (even though they were technically offered, they weren’t realistic). However, I adored the caring teachers and the lovely venue, despite the annoying traffic noise at night.
Overall, I highly recommend this course – it was one of the best times of my life! Heloise was an incredible teacher, the Shala was stunning, and the whole team really looked out for us. We had thrilling Areal and Acro classes, practiced on the beach, and even went out on the SUP board.

When I arrived in Thailand, the resort staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The room was decent, but I should have upgraded to one with air conditioning due to the hot and humid weather. Despite that, I had a great time.

August 15, 2022 at 12:00 amAttending in-person yoga practice through Zoom was harder for me due to the time difference in Canada. Luckily, I was able to access recorded classes and participate from home on my own schedule. Ulu Yoga has put together a comprehensive program covering philosophy, anatomy, pranayamas, meditations, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga, and Asana analytics. Each teacher brings their own wealth of knowledge to the instructions. The Ulu Yoga team is incredibly kind and supportive of their students. Taking this course is guaranteed to help grow your yoga practice and lay a solid foundation for becoming a yoga teacher. What I love most is the flexibility of being able to do the course at my own pace from home. I especially enjoy practicing yoga with Janaina and listening to her beautiful voice singing mantras. Cody has taught me more challenging asanas and anatomy, which I find fascinating. Kehkashan takes a deep dive into analytics of asanas with variations and the use of props. Manjeet and Dr. Kalpana have introduced me to the roots of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, helping me connect with myself and find inner peace in many positive ways. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Ulu Yoga in my search for a 200hr yoga teacher training.

July 18, 2022 at 12:00 amI’m so glad I took this course, it’s been a new experience for me. I learned a new style of Yoga and picked up some fresh teaching techniques. The course is awesome – it gives me plenty of time to practice and train. And the best part is, it breaks down anatomy in a super easy and interesting way.

May 9, 2022 at 12:00 amThe audio quality of “bones 1” and “muscles” was not great. It was difficult to understand what Cody was saying because the sound was so low. I really appreciated the knowledge shared by our course trainer Cody Pizer. Even though I already had a background in Biology and previous YTT experience, I was still learning a lot of new things. Cody presented the topics in a clear and understandable way, making it easy to follow along. I also enjoyed the course’s clear structure and the separation of basic anatomy and functional anatomy. The selection of topics was great, as it can be applied directly to our yoga classes, especially in how we can support students with injuries.

May 4, 2022 at 12:00 amI only didn’t like that I couldn’t do the training in person because of covid. At first, I was hesitant about doing a big 300-hour training online, but I decided to give it a go due to circumstances. I’m so grateful I chose to do it with ULU Yoga; right from the start, it was clear they offered a warm and welcoming community with the opportunity to participate in weekly live lessons and teaching practices. Don’t miss out on those – they were the highlight! All the teachers were pros and each brought their own personality to their teachings, which was amazing. The training structure was well-organized and progressed logically; I never felt overwhelmed during the course. You can go at your own pace, which is a benefit of online training. The training encourages self-reflection and growth. The support team at ULU was always available on short notice. This is the best training out there – I highly recommend joining the live lessons and teaching practice sessions; they are the gems of the course. Most importantly, remember to enjoy the process.

August 11, 2020 at 12:00 amI have been dreaming of learning yoga with this school for a long time. Two of my friends took the course and loved it, and now thanks to online learning I was able to join in too. I met daily with all the instructors in live classes, and the benefit of online learning was being able to record the classes to watch again and review. Instead of just relying on my note-taking skills in a classroom, I found the online format much more helpful. We also had private study groups with other students, so I was able to form great connections and make friends from around the world, which was something I was worried about missing out on. The traditional yoga instruction was very detailed and organized, and Salomé, the instructor, was incredible. The philosophy aspect was also something I really loved. The format of assigned readings, questions, and follow-up discussions was so well-structured. I had been trying to study yoga philosophy for years, and now everything is much clearer. Watching the videos of Bali was a real treat and has motivated me to travel there and take the course in person next year.
One thing that really helped me was the teaching examinations. I practiced teaching several course members on Zoom and even taught my mother while stuck at home. I recorded myself teaching, and the instructors gave me some very good feedback. It was difficult at first to watch myself, but it turned out to be the best way to learn. I now feel confident in teaching and helping others, and I am extremely grateful and happy with everything.

June 8, 2019 at 12:00 amI want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my teachers. The yoga class worked wonders for me, especially since I am a beginner. They often teamed me up with two advanced students, which helped me learn much faster than I had anticipated. I could see the meticulous planning and attention to detail in everything, which I appreciate as a project manager. From greeting guests to grading tests and teaching poses, every aspect of this school is carefully considered.
The schedule was perfectly balanced with breaks and fun activities like beach trips and spa visits. I was pleasantly surprised by how caring the staff was outside of class, spending time with us during meals and organizing outings. The 24/7 hands-on group coordinator outside of teaching was a brilliant idea that kept us united and motivated.
I can’t wait to come back for the 300-hour course later this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything.

May 30, 2019 at 12:00 amKoh Phangan has become my favorite new place in the world and my yoga experience here has been truly special. I love how they combine Thai Massage and Buddhism, it’s such a wonderful combination. Instead of just practicing alone, you really connect with other students on a physical and emotional level, which helps deepen our practice and create meaningful bonds beyond the mat. The teachers here are incredibly knowledgeable, the program is well-structured and very professional. And the surrounding nature and beach are like something out of a dream – the waters and sunsets are heavenly. Thank you so much for these special memories.

January 15, 2019 at 12:00 amThis experience was probably the best time of my life. We had yoga practice and philosophy or anatomy and meditation all day, from waking till sleep. I was so thankful for all the little tips and encouragement, like keeping silence until after breakfast to honor the sacred morning time. And a big thanks to all the instructors for hearing us out. They conducted a personal interview on arrival to ask about my health and background, which was the first time in forever anyone had cared about my real feelings and thoughts. It was strange at first, as I didn’t even know how to express them. Then we had group meetings with all the students to share our feedback and experience. It was a very touching memory that I miss very much now. My body has healed from years of weakness and the alignment corrected so many errors in my practice that I never knew existed. I am so grateful for the opportunity to practice teaching yoga and now have the confidence to continue deepening my skills.

I am excited for my future in teaching yoga and spreading this beautiful joy. My practice has seen significant improvement in such a short period.
The location exceeded my expectations. I had access to two beaches within walking distance. The little beach at the resort was perfect for private suntanning. Haad Yao Beach was expansive with plenty of cool cafes, massages, and affordable options. Secret beach was serene and peaceful with just two excellent restaurants that added a cozy vibe.
The food was amazing with each day bringing something different, tasty, and healthy. The school even took us to experience some authentic vegan cuisine in the village that was mind-blowing. I hope to return one day and continue this journey. Thank you to everyone involved.

Plus, the restaurant was awesome about making sure I had vegan options. I loved having breakfast with everyone in the morning – it felt like a little family. We all supported each other, so I never felt lonely and always had friends to hang out with. Huge thanks to Edward and Shashi for going into town to get me special foods. And the quality of instruction in the regular yoga classes was top-notch.

Breakfast offered a delicious rice pudding with coconut milk, perfect for my gluten-free diet. The restaurant, nestled next to the pool in the jungle, was a peaceful retreat. I loved practicing yoga on the beach for both sunrise and sunset, with most classes held in the yoga Shala. The inspiring teachers shared their passion and knowledge of yoga philosophy and alignment. December 23, 2018 at 12:00 amI booked the deluxe room that overlooks the sea from the edge of the cliff. I was thrilled with my choice and loved listening to the sound of the waves all night long. My balcony had a comfortable hammock swing that I enjoyed spending most of my free time on. Every morning, I treated myself to gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino that were absolutely delicious. I was impressed by the quality of food coming from Thailand. The rest of the breakfast was good, with muesli, toast, eggs, salad, seeds, and fruits, but the gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino were worth the extra cost. It was a great experience to eat breakfast together with everyone, it felt like high school all over again, especially since we were energized after yoga.
The instructors, Shashi, Edward, Victoria, Alon, and Minty, were fantastic teachers who gave detailed and clear instructions on a wide range of subjects. I originally signed up for a short course but decided to join the full training because it was both fun and educational.

December 20, 2018 at 12:00 amThe school gave us high-quality yoga mats and their own custom-made aerial swings, which were much more comfortable than the silk hammocks I’d tried before. I was thrilled with the flexibility to choose what I wanted to focus on in the program. The breathtaking view of the sea from my room and the stunning beaches on either side of the resort were amazing. Waking up early for meditation was tough at first, but I grew to love it and now plan to deepen my practice daily. The opportunity to practice teaching yoga was a highlight for me. December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amShashi, Victoria, and Edward warmly greeted me at the resorts. I was impressed when each student got a private interview with the teachers to discuss our health, previous experience, and course expectations. Throughout the week, we had group sharing circles to express our feelings. The instructors were open to any suggestions we had and were flexible in accommodating them. I was worried that the yoga classes would be too advanced since I was only used to regular and Vinyasa yoga. However, I found that the regular yoga classes were the best I’ve ever experienced. The other styles were also excellent, even though I didn’t have much to compare them to. The group work encouraged us to be self-sufficient and to support each other’s growth and development. I am grateful to my fellow students and instructors for sharing their knowledge and love. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday in paradise with high-level yoga training, this is the perfect place for you.

December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThis course provided the perfect escape in a pristine natural environment, along with a great learning experience that was just what I needed. The instructors were kind and encouraged me to rest whenever I needed to. In the afternoon, the resort gave us free coconuts and a special electrolyte mix that was a bit strange but very invigorating. The breakfast was decent, but the lunch was really excellent. I ordered various traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and green curry from the regular menu. I tried eating at cheaper restaurants nearby, but the quality was not as good as at the resort. So, two other students and I signed up for a cooking class there, which was a lot of fun. Every day, there were plenty of classes to choose from like SUP, regular yoga, and more serious subjects like philosophy and anatomy. The instructors took the time to explain everything in detail and answer all of our questions. I really enjoyed getting to know the other students, teachers, and staff. It felt like a little yoga family village that will always hold a special place in my heart.

December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amI sometimes miss the big shopping in Bangkok, but Koh Phangan has a nice Saturday market. That’s the trade off for natural beauty 🙂 This yoga retreat was my first, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. It has completely changed my life and values, as well as the friendships I’ve made. When I go back home, I know I won’t be the same person. I’ll have to cut off many negative relationships. Thank you so much to my spiritual guide Shashi for showing me my own path. And thank you to Victoria for your radiant laughter and positivity, to Alon for your incredible knowledge of traditional yoga and self-respect, and to Edward for sharing the gift of flying. The variety of classes offered was amazing, and the instructors were always open to feedback to cater to our needs. At the yoga retreat, there were two spaces for practice – one with an ocean view and another by the pool with mirrors. They even let me take a mat and blocks to practice on my balcony. The studio was so hot sometimes that I was sweating like I was in a Bikram class, but the big fans helped a lot and I sweated less as I released toxins. Overall, the instruction was top-notch and the location was truly heavenly.

December 16, 2018 at 12:00 amI didn’t drink enough water the first few days and felt exhausted with the heat, but the teachers took good care of us by giving everyone a free coconut. Soon, we adjusted and were back in full power. I will always remember this awesome experience. I mainly came for the philosophy lectures, but my favorite part turned out to be the extra sup yoga sessions. If your budget allows, I highly recommend upgrading to a deluxe sea view room, which was incredible. The teachers are very knowledgeable, skilled, and caring, catering to both beginner and experienced students. The yoga classes offered a good variety for beginners and advanced students alike, with options to deepen your practice or take child’s pose. The beauty of Thailand and the quality of the course exceeded my expectations. The accommodation, surrounded by green gardens with ocean views, was amazing. I found the teachers and staff to be very friendly. Every day, breakfast offered something different and healthy. I suggest waking up early to catch the breathtaking sunrise. In the evenings, we would jump into the sea and practice acro yoga on the beach at sunset. Balancing in sup yoga was tough, but the instructors were very attentive and supportive. We visited a different beach almost every day in our free time, each offering incredible views along the hilly roads. I learned to appreciate waking up at 6 AM for yoga in the beautiful shala overlooking the sea. At night, I could hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze from my bed. The sunset views were truly unbelievable and looked like a painting. The location is conveniently close to many restaurants and shops for souvenirs, fresh coconut drinks, and snacks. July 25, 2018 at 12:00 amThe difficulty in getting there can be avoided with proper planning, but overall, everything was wonderful. I was initially hesitant to join the class since I am not thin and do not have much yoga experience. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that each class offered easy options for beginners like me and more advanced options for others. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and focus on safety. They not only taught us how to do various yoga poses, including aerial and sup, but also explained the potential risks and benefits involved.
It was clear that they have a lot of experience, as they conduct numerous courses each year. Some of the students who had completed 200 trainings in the past even said that this course was much better and regretted not investing in it sooner. While I may not pursue a career in teaching yoga, I now feel confident enough to instruct my friends and family.
The island, resort, and shala were all stunning. However, I found the resort staff to be bothersome, so I ended up switching to a nearby hotel. The rooms were just as nice and cost the same. I highly recommend staying at High Life Resort or Haad Son Resort at Secret Beach instead.

There were fun challenges for athletic types and skillful steps to help beginners progress to advanced poses. The restorative and sup yoga sessions with Ria were a great balance. We also had fun with acro and aerial yoga on the beach for some awesome Instagram pics. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the regular yoga sessions, thanks to the detailed alignment instructions. Shashi’s philosophy was intense and deep, yet simple to grasp. The shala was beautiful with birds and trees all around, but the dining area could use some improvement.
