Spa treatments

You’ll get the following treatments included in the price:

– We have a 60-minute Herbal Compress Massage that includes a herbal compress massage and serves wedang jahe. It uses a warm herbal compress made from clove, ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, and lime leaves. This helps alleviate the pain of sore muscles and joints, flu and cold symptoms, rheumatism and arthritis pain, and promotes healing of sprains and bruises. It also helps soothe and quiet the mind, inducing a state of relaxation.

– We also offer a 120-minute Warm Balinese Boreh treatment that includes a 30-minute Boreh wrap, 60-minute Balinese massage, and a 30-minute herbal bath, served with jamu. Balinese Boreh is a traditional Balinese herbal treatment made from ginger, clove, and rice. It helps with circulation, relieves muscle tension, aches and pains, and restores balance. While you’re wrapped in the Boreh, your therapist will soothe your mind with a scalp massage while you feel the warmth of the heating spices on your skin.

– Our 60-minute Hot Stone Massage is another great option. It melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness, and increases circulation and metabolism. This massage promotes deeper muscle relaxation by placing smooth water-heated stones at key points on your body. It’s a luxurious and soothing experience.

– Lastly, we offer a 60-minute Intuitive Healing Session. During this session, our techniques include scanning your body for sickness, checking chakras and energy blockages, acupressure, Reiki, and using herbal recipes. It’s a holistic approach to healing and rejuvenation.

I loved my room! It was absolutely stunning. The facilities were top-notch and super clean. I went there for a 4-day juice cleanse, and let me tell you, those juices were amazing. The only small hiccup was that I wish someone reminded me when it was time to drink them throughout my stay. Thankfully, they fixed it by the second day. Oh, and something interesting, I didn’t have just one instructor guiding me through the detox process. Different people were there to help me out. But all in all, it was a fantastic and rejuvenating experience.

Everything was perfect. Blue Karma exceeds expectations in every way, offering incredible quality at a very good price. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always attentive. The yoga instructor is lovely, the massages are simply incredible, the accommodations are astonishingly comfortable, and the food is absolutely delicious. My experience and vacation here have been exceptional during my five-night stay. I cannot wait to return to this magnificent hotel when I visit Bali again.

I really didn’t like the food at the restaurant and the prices were ridiculously high, especially for the wine! Can you believe the cheapest bottle was AUD$45? And on top of that, they added an extra $10 for service and government charges! Even a glass of wine cost AUD$13 and they gave you these tiny little glasses.

To make matters worse, there was construction going on at 8am every morning, so forget about getting a good sleep. And to top it off, the Chinese New Year ceremonies were happening right outside, with music blaring until midnight every night. It was so frustrating!

I also thought the staff at the front desk could have been more helpful when it came to transportation. They had a shuttle that goes into town, but it only runs every 2 hours. I ended up walking to the Pyramids just to catch their shuttle or arranging my own transportation.

What really bothered me was that the website initially said that airport transfers were included, but after I paid for my booking, the staff tried to charge me US$37 for the transfer. It was such a disappointment. Eventually, they provided the service for free and changed the information on the site, but it definitely put a damper on my experience.

There was also some confusion about the massage treatments and how many I was supposed to receive. When you’re spending over AUD$300 for a basic room, you expect to get more for your money.

However, despite all of these issues, I still had a nice stay overall. The staff at the resort were amazing and really went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great experience. The facilities were also top-notch, with beautiful rooms and an incredible pool. The property itself was just stunning.

I haven’t been able to use my private pool because the one step doesn’t allow entry for older people. It’s ridiculous to have just one step. However, I would still stay there again, hoping they fix the pool step. Out of all the places I’ve stayed in Bali, this was the best.

I think the yoga class was too short. Sixty minutes is not enough. Maybe you could consider offering a 75-minute or 90-minute class instead. I really love the yoga space — it’s beautiful and so peaceful.

I was surprised to find out that I was the only person enrolled for the Yoga Med Sound retreat. It would have been great to have other yogis to share the experience with. Unfortunately, no one informed me about the Meditation classes, so I ended up missing out. But I have to say, the Blue Karma exceeded my expectations. The Joglo rooms were absolutely amazing, and the staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. It was such a beautiful stay that I would definitely love to come back again.

The food could use some improvement, but it’s generally good. The coffee is great! They offer excellent fruit and homemade yogurt for breakfast, and it’s all free. I traveled alone and felt very safe. The massages are fantastic, and the staff is very kind. The yoga classes are doable, not too advanced.

The yoga sessions were not held in-house, but the hotel arranged for a drop-off and pick-up. I was actually expecting them to be in-house. Additionally, the meditation was challenging because the resort’s lounge was undergoing renovations. Blue Karma is a lovely boutique resort with outdoor bathrooms in a natural setting. The service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. And oh, the breakfast was absolutely delicious!

I had to leave! Honestly, I was feeling so emotional that I came here to get away from a rough patch in my life. I wanted to relax, enjoy good food, escape, rejuvenate, do some yoga, get massages, take beautiful morning walks through rice paddies, and explore the cultural side of Ubud. Blue Karma was able to fulfill all of these wishes, and even more. It really helped take my mind off things. The staff there were absolutely amazing, always going above and beyond to keep me happy with their big smiles! My entire stay was the best ever and very peaceful… I will definitely be coming back, hopefully soon!

I find the food a little boring. The breakfast looks amazing, but it’s not that great. I’ve had the Indonesian breakfast three times, and each time the rice was cold and had been left out. The banana fritters were the same, not crispy at all, just dull.
The juices are too watery. It’s a good idea, but the pineapple juice has practically no taste.
We’ve been to the restaurant a few times. One night, I had the best mie goreng, but the next night it was one of the worst in Bali. It’s not good enough for a place that wants to give you the full experience. The food is below standard.
The location is amazing. It’s a bit far from Ubud, but that’s part of its charm.
The pool is so peaceful. The number of guests is just right. The rooms are fantastic and the views are stunning. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The yoga classes are very good, and the yoga hall is fantastic. The massage therapists are also very good.

The blue karma Seminyak doesn’t have a yoga studio, so you’ll need to find a place near the hotel to book one. The location is close to the airport, but it can get quite busy around the hotel. However, the facility itself is beautiful, and the staff is extremely friendly. Plus, they have a great pool!

The place is so nice, it’s difficult to leave! I had an amazing experience here. The staff is incredible and they were so helpful with my yoga and meditation schedule for the retreat. The yoga and meditation teachers were really professional. The SPA and massages were so nice and relaxing. I loved the location too – everything is within walking distance and there’s a shuttle to the beach which is super convenient. The Villa itself, the swimming pool, and all the facilities are beautifully decorated with a relaxing smell. Overall, I felt such good vibes and energy as soon as I entered this place. If I get the chance, I would definitely go again and stay for a longer time! Thank you Blue Karma for this incredible experience.

I had an incredible experience at Blue Karma Resort Ubud – everything was just amazing! As soon as I walked into the lobby, a sense of zen washed over me. The resort is so well-maintained and beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And let me tell you about my room – it was absolutely breathtaking! The attention to detail throughout the entire property, including my room, was impeccable.

The 8:30am yoga classes were challenging but so invigorating. It was the perfect way to start my day. And the yoga studio/platform is such a unique space.

The breakfast included in my retreat package was incredible. They had so many healthy options and they made sure I had more than enough food to keep me fueled.

Now let me tell you about the massages. They were out of this world! I got one every day as part of my package and I highly recommend trying the traditional Balinese massage.

Honestly, I can’t recommend staying at Blue Karma Resort Ubud enough. It was such a fantastic experience that I will definitely be coming back on my next visit to Bali!

I loved my stay at Blue Karma resort Ubud! The hotel staff was so kind and the cottage was super comfortable with adorable interior. Plus, the breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious.

I wanted to share some helpful info for anyone thinking about staying at this resort. First, they offer a shuttle bus service to Ubud Center. They’ll take you there and pick you up whenever you want, just let them know the time when you’re dropped off. The shuttle runs once every hour.

Second, they have yoga lessons available twice a day. In the morning at 8:30am, they offer hatha yoga, and in the evening at 6:00pm, they have viyansa yoga.

Oh, and one more thing to note is that if you want to participate in any of the activities at the resort, make sure to book them at least one day in advance. They can’t arrange anything for you on the same day.

We should improve the food service and quality to ensure greater consistency. On the bright side, the yoga, meditation, and massages were fantastic. The landscape and cabins were also quite good. Let’s make sure our staff maintains a service with a smile attitude, especially when handling any issues that may arise.

The food at BKU was the low point. I mean, I wouldn’t even bring it up in any other country, but Bali has high standards. Everywhere else in Bali, I had better food – can you believe I even found some glass in the fruit salad? It actually chipped my tooth a little. If they put in just a little bit more effort, this place would be as perfect as the rest of BKU. However, I must say, the chickpea and feta burger was awesome. The staff there were amazing, the location was beautiful, and the massages were great. I truly enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I can’t wait to go back!
