Wellness and Yoga Retreat Bali

Reiki consists of two words – Rei, which symbolizes “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power,” and Ki, representing “life force energy.” Reiki embodies the concept of “spiritually guided life force energy.” When you engage in Reiki, you’ll discover a radiant energy flowing through your body, emotions, mind, and spirit, resulting in various positive outcomes like relaxation and a sense of peace, security, and overall well-being.

Program

When you stay at Blue Karma Dijiwa Ubud, we will provide you with a one-time Reiki Healing treatment. The treatment lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes a consultation before and after the treatment. These include a 60-minute herbal compress massage, which is served with wedang jahe. We also offer a 120-minute warm Balinese boreh treatment, which includes a 30-minute boreh wrap, a 60-minute Balinese massage, a 30-minute herbal bath, and jamu is served. Additionally, we provide a 60-minute reflexology massage, consisting of a 10-minute neck and shoulder massage and a 50-minute foot massage. This treatment stimulates blood flow, relieves migraines and stress symptoms, and enhances your mood.

I had a gorgeous room! The facilities were super nice and clean. I was there for the 4 day juice cleanse. The juices were amazing. Although, I would have liked it better if the staff had contacted me for every juice during my whole stay. They fixed that on the second day though. I didn’t really have one instructor because different people were helping me with my detox.
All in all, it was a really relaxing and great experience.

Everything was perfect at Blue Karma. The place goes beyond expectations, offering great quality at a very good price. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The yoga instructor is really nice. The massages are absolutely amazing. The accommodation is fantastic and comfortable. And the food is simply delicious. My experience and vacation here were excellent. I stayed for five nights and absolutely loved it. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again when I come back to Bali.

I found the food at the restaurant to be lacking and the prices were quite high, especially for the wine! They were charging AUD$45 for the cheapest bottle (plus an additional $10 for service and Gov charges)!! Even a glass of wine cost AUD$13 and the glasses were very small.

To make matters worse, there was construction happening every morning at 8am sharp, so no chance of sleeping in. This was especially frustrating as it was Chinese New Year and there was also ceremony music playing until midnight every night.

I was also disappointed with the staff at the front desk. They could have been more helpful with transportation. They had a shuttle that went into town, but it only ran every 2 hours. I ended up walking to the Pyramids to catch their shuttle or arranging my own transportation.

Initially, the website stated that airport transfers were included, but after I paid for my booking, the staff tried to charge me US$37 for a transfer. It was frustrating, but they eventually provided the service for free (and updated the website). It wasn’t a great start.

There was also confusion about the massage treatments and how many were included.

When you’re paying over AUD$300 for a basic room, you expect a bit more for that price.

Despite these issues, I still had a pleasant stay. The staff at the resort really made a difference. They were wonderful, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay exceeded expectations.

The facilities were also top-notch. The rooms and pool were stunning.

Overall, it was a beautiful property.

I couldn’t use my private pool because the one step didn’t allow entry for older people. Having just one step is ridiculous. But I would definitely stay there again and hope they fix the pool step. Out of all the places I’ve stayed in Bali, this one was the best.

I think the yoga classes are too short. Sixty minutes is not enough, perhaps you could offer longer options like 75 or 90 minutes. By the way, I really adore the yoga space; it’s simply stunning and creates such a peaceful atmosphere.

I was really surprised to find out that I was the only person enrolled for the Yoga Med Sound retreat. It would have been so nice to have other yogis to share the experience with.

No one informed me about the Meditation classes, so I ended up missing out on them.

I have to say, the Blue Karma is absolutely delightful. The Joglo rooms are amazing, and the staff is incredibly helpful and sweet. It was a truly gorgeous stay. I’m definitely planning on returning.

The food could use some improvement, but it’s still good overall. The coffee is fantastic! They offer excellent free fruit and homemade yogurt with breakfast. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe. The massages were great, and the staff was kind. The yoga classes were doable, not overly advanced.

The yoga sessions were not in-house, and it takes about 5-15 minutes by car to reach there, depending on traffic. The hotel organized a drop-off and pick-up for us, but I was hoping for them to be conducted on-site. Additionally, it was difficult to meditate due to the ongoing renovations in the resort lounge. However, Blue Karma is a lovely boutique resort with its bathrooms set in a natural outdoor setting. The service was fantastic and very attentive. Plus, breakfast was absolutely delightful!

“I had to leave! Honestly, I was feeling so emotional and I needed to get away because I was going through a rough time in my life. I just wanted to relax, have some good food, and escape from it all. I also wanted to rejuvenate myself with some yoga, massages, and beautiful morning walks through rice paddies. I was looking forward to exploring the cultural side of Ubud as well. Luckily, Blue Karma was able to fulfill all of my expectations and more. It really took my mind off things. Plus, the staff there were absolutely amazing. They would go above and beyond to keep me happy, always with big smiles on their faces. The entire stay was absolutely perfect and very peaceful. I will definitely be going back, hopefully soon!”

The food is a bit boring. Breakfast looks fantastic, but it isn’t that good. I had the Indonesian breakfast three times, and the rice was cold and had been sitting out all three times. The banana fritters were also not crispy, just dull.

The juices are too watery. It’s a good idea, but the pineapple juice was practically tasteless.

We’ve been to the restaurant a few times. One night, I had the best mie goreng there. However, the next time I had it, it was one of the worst in Bali. Not good enough for a place that wants to offer the full experience. The food is substandard.

The location is uncanny. It’s a bit far from Ubud, but that’s also part of the charm. The pool is so serene, and the number of guests is appropriate. The rooms are fantastic, and the views are stunning. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The yoga classes are very good, and the yoga hall is fantastic. The massage therapists are also very skilled.

At the blue karma Seminyak, they don’t offer a yoga studio. You’ll need to book a place nearer to the hotel for your yoga sessions. The hotel is located close to the airport but it can get pretty busy around here. However, the facility is absolutely stunning, the staff is incredibly friendly, and there’s a fantastic pool to enjoy.

Blue Karma was such a wonderful place to be. It’s difficult to leave because it’s just too nice! The staff there is absolutely amazing. They were so helpful with my yoga and meditation schedule during my retreat. The yoga and meditation teachers were also very professional. The SPA and massages were incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. And the best part is, everything is conveniently close by and within walking distance. They even have a shuttle to the beach, which is so convenient. The Villa itself, the swimming pool, and all the facilities are beautifully decorated and have such a calming smell. As soon as you enter, you can instantly feel the good vibes and positive energy. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely go again, and next time, I’ll stay for a longer period! Thank you, Blue Karma, for providing such a pleasant experience.

I had an incredible experience at Blue Karma Resort Ubud! Everything was absolutely magical. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I immediately felt a sense of zen. The property is immaculate and picturesque. The staff and customer service were superb and could accommodate anything I needed. The attention to detail in my room and throughout the property was impressive.

The 8:30am yoga classes were challenging but invigorating, a perfect way to start the day. The yoga studio/platform was a unique and special space.

Breakfast was included in my retreat package and the food was incredible! They offered healthy options and provided plenty of delicious food to fuel my day.

I also received daily massages as part of my package and they were AMAZING. I highly recommend trying the traditional Balinese massage.

If you’re planning a trip to Bali, I highly recommend staying at Blue Karma Resort Ubud. I will definitely be coming back during my next visit!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Blue Karma resort in Ubud. The hotel staff were so kind and the cottage I stayed in was really comfortable and had such a cute interior. Plus, the breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious!

For anyone thinking about staying at this resort, there are a couple of things I’d like to share (they also mention this when you check-in). First, they offer a shuttle bus service to the Ubud Center. Now, they’ve made it even more convenient by providing round trip transportation to and from Ubud. All you have to do is let them know what time you’d like to be picked up when they drop you off. The shuttle runs once every hour.

Secondly, they offer yoga lessons twice a day. The morning class starts at 8:30am and it’s hatha yoga. In the evening, at 6:00pm, they offer viyansa yoga. Just a little reminder: if you want to participate in any of the activities offered at the resort, make sure to book them at least one day in advance. They can’t arrange activities on the same day.

Hope this information helps anyone considering a stay at the Blue Karma resort in Ubud!

The food at BKU was the low point for me. In any other country, I wouldn’t mention it but the standards in Bali are high. I ate better everywhere else in Bali. I also found some glass in the fruitsalad which chipped my tooth slightly. Just a little bit more effort would make this as perfect as the rest of BKU. However, I must say the chickpea and feta burger was great. The staff were amazing, the location was beautiful, and the massages were great. I really enjoyed my stay and would 100% recommend it to friends. I definitely want to return.
