Retreat location

Koh Phangan, Thailand, known for its magical bohemian vibes and lack of big crowds or traffic, hosts this course at a beautiful beachfront resort in Haad Yao. Nearby, you’ll find many great restaurants, boutique shops, live music, and dancing. Thailand’s fifth biggest island, Koh Phangan, is one of the most beautiful and wild. Located 70 kilometers from the mainland and just 12 kilometers from Koh Samui, Phangan doesn’t have an airport, so visitors rely on ferries from the mainland and Koh Samui for transportation.

Online training

You’ll complete 150 hours of this course online using the Thinkific platform. You can work at your own pace and have up to two years to finish.

Food

ULU Yoga Thailand packages offer a delightful breakfast and lunch menu. We serve an extensive selection of Western-inspired breakfast dishes, carefully crafted to give you a lovely start to your day after your morning Asana session. Enjoy a cultural journey through flavors with our Thai lunch buffet. For dinner, you have the option to dine at the resort or visit one of the nearby beach restaurants just a few steps away. The ULU Yoga team will encourage you to make healthy choices without any pressure.
There are plenty of local markets, beach bars, and boutique cafes to explore. Some of our recommendations include Locco’s Pizza, Coco Locco’s on the Beach, Amara, Vagga, Seaboard’s Restaurant, and Bubba’s Roastery. If you venture to Srithanu or Hin Kong, check out Taboon, Sea Tara, Karma Cafe, Eat Co., Sati Pot, Alcove, and Chana Masala. And if you head to Ban Tai, Harmony Beach Club is a must-visit.
Your package includes breakfast, lunch, and drinks.

Things to do (optional)

You can explore so many wonderful additional activities on Koh Phangan like ecstatic dance, kirtan, sound healing, snorkeling, diving, night markets, temples, live music, waterfalls, mountain treks, endless beaches, and parties.

Spa treatments

In this course, you can detoxify your body in the sauna and revitalize with an ice bath to improve your immune system, decrease inflammation, and lower stress levels. Sound healing and kirtan may be available at the venue, but they’re not guaranteed. The training package doesn’t cover spa treatments or ice baths – trainees are responsible for paying for these extras. The total cost per person for the full treatment is just 250 THB.

I really enjoyed this week. It’s the perfect combination of practical and theoretical work, and they offer a side program in the evening to take you out. They also made sure that my accommodation is close to the yoga training center so I could walk there. I can definitely recommend it.

Instructors like Sharash truly embody the essence of a yoga practitioner. They are incredibly inspiring. The organizers, Eddie and Tania, are always available and kind when it comes to addressing our needs. This kind of self-investment is priceless and can’t be bought with money.

I participated in a 200H Yoga Teacher Training program that truly exceeded my expectations in every way. This amazing experience allowed me to dive deeper into the world of yoga, broadening my knowledge of not just physical asanas but also the spirituality and various other aspects of yoga. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, warm-hearted, and passionate. With their support, our group created a safe space for personal growth, self-discovery, and sharing. Everything was so well organized—I highly recommend it! ❤️

I’m so happy I chose ULU Yoga. Everything from the course to the food was absolutely perfect. What I loved the most was that our group was small, so we could really connect and make friends without feeling like we were just part of a crowd. The teachers were so friendly and knowledgeable, making me feel completely at ease. I learned so much about yoga, the yoga lifestyle, and even about myself. My time at ULU Yoga in Uluwatu was truly amazing, and I’m so thankful for this wonderful experience!

I loved absolutely everything! I should have signed up for 21 days instead of 14! Uluyoga really made sure we had the best environment to learn in. The teachers were friendly and easy to approach, and the admin staff was attentive and reliable. The classes were set up so we could practice teaching a bit every day, which really helped build our confidence, even if we had never taught before. I couldn’t wait for class each day, especially with my amazing new friends.

I stayed at One Degree Sunset Hill, which is located on the main road so it can get noisy at night. Just a heads up for light sleepers! But the place was really nice and clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room :/

I rated it a 5 even though the room quality was more like a 4/5 for the price. I did my 200h YTT with Uluyoga in Bali and all the teachers were amazing!

It’s the perfect blend of authentic yoga with caring and humble teachers. Plus, it’s in beautiful Bali near the beaches. If you’re looking for a well-planned school with a great balance of different teachers’ energies and knowledge, this is it! You get to experience a bit of various styles and choose what you like. The breakfast included was delicious with both sweet and savory options daily. The shala is peaceful and conveniently located near many good restaurants for meals. Huge thanks to the ULU yoga team! Héloïse was an amazing lead teacher with vibrant energy and deep knowledge of chakras. Manjeet was an incredible philosophy teacher, blending Indian tradition with humor. Salome taught ashtanga with a traditional approach, Eddie with Ariel yoga, Lloyd and Flo with acro yoga, and Krystal with flowy vinyasa. Tania, the coordinator, was also really helpful and caring. Each teacher brought their own unique touch to the experience. Definitely recommend it!

Honestly, I loved everything about it. The organization, food, teachers, and class schedule were all fantastic. It was such an amazing and life-changing experience. I’m new to the yoga world and didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed every class. All the teachers were unique and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Our group of students became like a new little family. We shared experiences, practiced meditation, pranayamas, and asanas together, got massages, had meals together… it was an unforgettable growing experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to enrich my life with so much knowledge and have the tools to navigate life’s hurdles and enjoy all the beautiful moments ahead of me.

I personally got a little bored in Uluwatu, but I think this program would have been fantastic in Ubud. I loved my training here. I completed the 3-week 200-hour advanced course and enjoyed the flexibility of the hybrid program. It was an excellent all-encompassing program that introduced me to many different styles of yoga. Well, in Bali, things can be unpredictable sometimes. If you keep an open mindset about possible changes in the schedule or program, you’ll be fine. The team did a great job of adapting to handle issues like construction noise at the venue. If possible, go for the premium package for hotel rooms on-site with the shala – it’s worth it. The content and learning format were top-notch, with online videos supporting the in-person program. The instructors were genuine, caring, and knowledgeable. We got to experience a wide range of yoga styles and had a lot of fun. I felt well taken care of and secure. I highly recommend Ulu Yoga to anyone seeking an authentic teacher training experience.

The instructors were amazing and it felt like a little family, which is so important for getting the most out of your training. I felt supported and comfortable in the sessions, which allowed me to really open up.

We loved using the swing that Ulu created – it’s super easy to use! Can’t wait to try out regular swings back home now. The Aerial Teacher Training at ULU yoga was amazing. Eddie really went all out to make sure everything ran smoothly. Bamboo, where we stayed, was beautiful with friendly staff and delicious food. Minty, Heloise, and Lloyd were all fantastic teachers. The days were well-balanced with theory, practice, and relaxation time. Eddie’s morning aerial flow was a highlight. Our group of 12, including both experienced yoga teachers and beginners, felt the course was suitable for all levels. We all bonded instantly and had a great time staying at Taman Sari.

I found the yoga teacher training and community at Ulu Yoga to be a lifesaver. Eddie and the team were incredibly supportive from day one and continued to bolster me as I faced health challenges. Despite a bad flare, I made it through training without missing a class and grew immensely as an instructor. The experience of evolving personally while dealing with health issues was profound and unforgettable. Ulu Yoga’s nonjudgmental, uplifting atmosphere and the constant support I received helped me build confidence in my abilities. The high standard and quality of Ulu Yoga’s instructors are evident, and I am forever grateful for the love and support I received. I will carry that same care and support into my own practice with my students. Eddie’s creation of the aerial yoga swing was a game changer for me, as my previous swing was too complicated. I love how simple it is to practice what I love at home now. The incredible people at Ulu Yoga will always have a special place in my heart, and I hope to see more lives impacted by their amazing community.

The 3D accommodation was the only thing that wasn’t perfect. They didn’t clean as often and we had a couple of times when there was no water. Some people might have been bothered by that, but it didn’t phase me. I embraced it and lived like a native. I loved it and would stay there again. The girls who communicated with us through emails were amazing from the beginning. They provided all the support I needed to feel safe and confident about the course.

The online classes were all so inspiring and exciting, I never enjoyed studying so much before. Manjeet was my favorite teacher. His wisdom and energy really came through the screen. His classes taught me all about Yoga philosophy, Pranayama, and training our minds for the benefits they can bring.

Cody’s anatomy classes were also very interesting. I loved his dynamic way of teaching, it made everything so much easier to understand. Choosing between Thailand and Indonesia for the in-person part was tough, but my heart and intuition led me to Bali. I’m grateful I made that decision.

Uluwatu is an amazing town with fantastic energy, beaches, and restaurants. Everyone I met at our Shala holds a special place in my heart. From classmates to teachers to the staff at Le Bamboo, they created a supportive community where we learned not just new skills, but how to connect with and love ourselves better.

The different activities in Ulu helped us build confidence as teachers and be creative and intuitive in our classes. I’m beyond grateful to have found this course and had this incredible experience.

The original shala only had 1 toilet, but the ULU program was fantastic. It covered a mix of theory, yoga history, vinyasa, hatha, yin, acro, and aerial yoga. The teachers were knowledgeable, engaging, and overall great humans, which made the learning experience brilliant. The students came from all over the world with various yoga backgrounds and ages, making the 3 weeks a blast and fostering great friendships. The new ULU shala has stunning views and is well appointed. What I loved most was being able to choose my own accommodation and find my own lunches and dinners. I stayed at the Hidden Hills Villas, which were stunning and an easy walk to both ULU Shalas.

This training transformed me, leaving me inspired, knowledgeable, and with incredible lifelong friends. One thing that really stood out was the daily asana labs, where we practiced teaching and refining our cues for various poses. The emphasis on practical application made the learning process more effective and enjoyable. I also appreciated the flexibility of being able to do some study online before coming in person, which allowed me to learn at my own pace.

The teachers were truly the heart and soul of the training, sharing their vast knowledge and passion for yoga in a nurturing environment. Delving deeper into Vinyasa and Hatha yoga with their guidance was a rewarding experience.

The newly built shala with air conditioning and stunning ocean views made for a comfortable and inspiring learning space. Overall, this training not only taught me about yoga poses, but also about the power of self-discovery and connection, leaving me feeling confident and ready to start teaching yoga.

I just want to mention a few things here:
    1. The hotels are pretty basic, so don’t expect anything fancy.
    2. We had some miscommunication and coordination issues due to two classes happening at the same time, but it’s understandable. This was my first yoga teacher training and first time in Bali – the three-week experience was absolutely amazing!
It was more than just learning yoga and training to be a teacher – I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learned. From self-love to bravery to humility, it’s been life-changing. I highly recommend it for these reasons:
    1. Ulu yoga offers unique non-traditional courses like aerial, acro, beach, and SUP. Personally, I loved playing with the hammock in the aerial course!
    2. The teachers are caring and knowledgeable, and my classmates were from all over the world. Every day was a new cultural experience and learning opportunity.
    3. Uluwatu’s location is great – it’s less touristy, close to the beach (perfect for surfers), and has amazing restaurants and cafes.
    4. You’ll get a textbook and access to an online learning platform for about a year, which is super helpful for revisiting the materials.

I didn’t like that we weren’t informed beforehand that we would lose a whole day of on-site training (due to day of silence). We only found out when we got there, so it made me wonder why we were still paying the same price. But, most of the teachers were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience incredible, from both a learning to teach perspective and self-discovery. And I really loved learning acro too!

I didn’t have any negative experiences during the teacher training itself! In Uluwatu, walking isn’t the best option because there aren’t many walkways and most people prefer taxis or scooters. Despite the ongoing construction, the Shala was peaceful and perfect for yoga. The experienced and kind teachers provided excellent instructions and were always available to help.

I really enjoyed learning Aerial, SUP, and Acroyoga. The breakfast was delicious and the long lunch breaks were ideal for relaxing by the pool. The ULUyoga team was incredibly helpful, organizing everything and providing reliable transportation options.

The structured online hours and high-quality videos were great, and the fact that you can access them even after the course is a bonus.

I wish I could have extended my stay and completed the 300-hour course right away if I had more vacation days. I hope to return to Bali in the future for another course with ULUyoga.

I really loved the location of the training and how the teachers made everyone feel comfortable. I had been practicing yoga for a few years, but I learned so much more and deepened my practice more than I could have imagined. I had some medical emergencies that were unrelated to yoga or ulu yoga, but they supported me through the entire journey. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete the course in person, but we quickly found a solution and now I’m really enjoying the online course. The communication was always clear and friendly. The teachers taught with passion and made it very interesting and interactive. The space was always clean, breakfast was delicious, and I have no complaints at all. The mat might not always be clean, so I should bring my own. The examination feels a bit too long; maybe 60 minutes would be better for beginners. I really love the teaching vibe and environment. Doing yoga in a bamboo shala with teachers from different backgrounds is so inspiring. I learn a lot every day, both physically and philosophically. The interaction in class, like the sharing circle and various activities, is my favorite part. And the sup yoga and acro yoga classes are amazing! I never expected to experience so much here. And the best part is you never know how cute your classmates will be!

The information on what to focus on for online studies could be clearer and should be provided when you receive your login. Also, some of the lessons were recorded from Zoom and the quality was not great in a few of them. I really appreciated how the teachers were very open and available whenever I needed them. It was an emotional journey, and I felt safe with the teachers, group, and surroundings. Doing yoga in the Le Bamboo Shala with a view of the ocean and surrounded by lush green plants was incredible. I didn’t do much. Everything was really nice. Thank you ULU Yoga for the incredible time I had during my on-site Training in Uluwatu, Bali. It was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so grateful for all the laughs, tears, and insights we shared. Even though the training only lasted two weeks, I learned a ton! I not only learned how to design classes and teach others, but also learned a lot about myself and my own practice. Some of my favorite parts were the evening spa excursion and getting to try different yoga styles like acro, aerial, yin, and SUP yoga. After this training, I now feel ready to teach vinyasa and hatha yoga classes and empowered to continue on my spiritual journey. Thanks again for this amazing experience!

By the way, I really enjoyed the breakfast. So many delicious options to choose from. I found a new love for smoothie bowls. 😀

I also want to mention that the shala is very new, with a beautiful view of the sea. It’s great for canceling out noise too, especially since there’s a lot of construction work happening right now (July 2023).

I’m sorry, but I won’t book this teacher training again. It’s not what I expected from a YTT. The owners seemed more interested in making money in a touristy place like Koh Phangan. We didn’t do much meditation, and there were no lessons on yoga philosophy, spirituality, or anatomy. Only one Acro and SUB Yoga session. Breakfast was included, but not very filling. It was a mix of people with different levels of experience, which made it frustrating for everyone. The teachers were nice and knowledgeable though. I might attend one of their classes again.

I didn’t really have any complaints, I was happy all the time. Some last-minute changes in organization didn’t bother me at all. That’s just life! The last shala at Le Bamboo was small and hot, but we had been spoiled by the wonderful shalas before. This teacher training was absolutely amazing. Having 5 different inspiring, wise, and giving teachers was a true blessing. Each of them provided us with tools and wisdom for our journey as yoga teachers and human beings. I am grateful to have met them and learned from their stories. We got to experience a different shala every week, which allowed us to explore different places. The teachers and organizers were always helpful and quick to solve any issues that came up. It was a safe space to grow, explore, and remember who we are and why we are here. I came to escape winter and learn more about yoga, but I found so much more. Deep understanding, support, wonderful souls, teachers, and friends. Thank you all for your presence and love!

It would be nice to have another day off to enjoy some free time activities with the Organizer. The resort staff were too slow for our scheduled breakfast. Even after addressing the issue, there wasn’t any improvement in the service. It would have been great to have some little extras like discounts at the restaurant, laundry service, or access to scooters (even though they were supposedly available, it wasn’t realistic).

We had a variety of yoga styles, anatomy lessons, different teachers, beautiful location, teaching exercises, stand-up paddleboarding, and a diverse group of participants.

This course focused on fun rather than just certification as a yoga teacher. Some may like that, others may not. Personally, I wish the analytics classes were more structured since some of us were inexperienced and struggled with alignment. Despite that, the teachers were amazing and caring. The venue was okay, but the traffic noise at night was annoying.

Overall, I highly recommend this course. I had an incredible time! Heloise was a fantastic teacher, the Shala was gorgeous, and the team really looked after us. We had fun Areal and Acro classes, practiced on the beach, and even tried out the SUB board.

The resort had a beautiful setting, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The only downside was the breakfasts, as they were not very filling and I often found myself ordering a second dish. The quality of the food served compared to the food bought was noticeably different. The bought food was more satisfying, had larger portions, and seemed to be made with more care. Despite this minor issue, I have no other critiques. Cody and Shashi, the owners, are amazing individuals who created a welcoming environment for self-exploration and vulnerability. I felt supported, understood, and loved throughout my three weeks in Koh PhaNgan. Their knowledge was inspiring and had a profound impact on how I view life. The experience was both a personal and spiritual journey, surrounded by like-minded individuals. My confidence as a teacher has grown tremendously. The course provided a safe space to express any emotions that needed to be released. I am grateful for the opportunity to invest in myself during this time.

The booking process with Saghar was a breeze. She answered all my questions about ferries, transportation, and other online queries quickly and with a friendly attitude.

Before my trip to Thailand, I watched some videos for my studies. The philosophy was easy to understand and I really enjoyed learning from them.

Upon arrival in Thailand, the resort employees welcomed me with a friendly vibe. The room was okay, but I should have chosen one with air conditioning due to the hot and humid weather. However, I managed to make do.

The instructors, Cody and Lena, were amazing. They were welcoming and their teaching style catered to both beginners and advanced yoga students. Cody’s explanation of the philosophy was relatable and helped me apply it to my own life. Lena’s calm demeanor made me aspire to become a teacher like her.

Overall, Ulu Yoga transformed me as a person and I am grateful for the experience. I miss the vibe and the people, and replaying my time there makes me want to go back. I will definitely choose Ulu Yoga for my next course. Thank you, Ulu Yoga! Sending lots of love ❤️

I like how the course is structured. The instructors are great at managing our time and ensuring we can participate in all the activities listed. I really appreciate how they allow us to interact with other students, such as practicing teaching and getting to know the sequence before we teach for real. The instructors also give us helpful feedback during practice, pointing out our strengths, areas for improvement, and offering suggestions for improvement. It was a complete learning experience and I had a great time. I’m so grateful for it!

Being in Canada, the time difference made it tough for me to attend in-person yoga practice through zoom. But luckily, I was given access to the recorded classes so I could still join in from home whenever it worked for me. Ulu Yoga has put together a comprehensive program covering philosophy, anatomy, pranayamas, meditations, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga, and Asana analytics. Each teacher offers a wealth of knowledge in their instructions. The Ulu Yoga team is incredibly kind and supportive of their students. Taking this course is sure to enhance your yoga practice and lay a strong foundation for becoming a yoga teacher. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to go at my own pace from the comfort of my home. Some highlights for me include practicing yoga with Janaina and listening to her beautiful singing of mantras. I’ve also enjoyed learning more challenging asanas and anatomy from Cody. Kehkashan’s classes really dive deep into analyzing asanas with variations and the use of props. Manjeet and Dr. Kalpana have taught me the essence of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, as well as ways to connect with myself and find inner peace. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Ulu Yoga in my search for a 200hr yoga teacher training.

The audio quality of “bones 1” or “muscles,” for example, wasn’t really good. It was difficult to understand what Cody was saying because the sound was so low. I really appreciated our course trainer Cody Pizer’s knowledge. Even though I already had a background in Biology and previous YTT, I was still learning a lot of new things. Cody presented the topics in a clear and understandable way, making it easy to follow along. I also enjoyed the course’s clear structure, with basic anatomy and functional anatomy separated. I only didn’t like that I couldn’t do the training in person due to covid 🙂 At first, I was hesitant about doing a big online training (300h), but due to circumstances, I decided to give it a go! I am so incredibly grateful that I chose to do it with ULU Yoga; right from the start, it was clear that they offered a warm & welcoming community with the opportunity to participate in weekly live lessons and teaching practices as well. And let me tell you, those turned out to be the highlight, you definitely don’t want to miss out on those! All the teachers were pros and each brought their own personality to their teachings which was amazing. It was a great opportunity to learn from the best. The training structure was well organized and progressed in a logical way; step by step you were introduced to more in-depth knowledge and I never felt overwhelmed during the course. You can progress at your own pace, which is obviously a great benefit of doing the training online. The training encourages you to be constructively critical towards yourself and helps you to grow and see things in a different light. Additionally, the support team at ULU was always available at very short notice. Like I mentioned, this is the best training out there and I highly, highly recommend joining the live lessons and teaching practice; those are the absolute diamonds of the course. And most importantly, remember to enjoy the process.

I have finally fulfilled my long-time dream of learning yoga with this school. Two of my friends recommended the course and now, thanks to online learning, I am able to join as well. I attend daily live classes with all the instructors and benefit from the added advantage of being able to record the sessions for later review. This is much better than struggling to take detailed notes in a classroom setting. Additionally, I have been able to form connections and make friends with other students around the world through private study groups, which was something I was worried about missing out on.

The traditional yoga instruction is incredibly detailed and well-organized, with an amazing instructor like Salomé leading the way. The philosophy component of the course is also very enriching, with assigned readings, thought-provoking questions, and engaging discussions. I have been fascinated by yoga philosophy for years, and now it all makes perfect sense.

I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing Bali in the course videos, which has inspired me to plan a trip there next year to take the course in person. I have also had the opportunity to practice teaching on Zoom with other members of the course, as well as with my mother at home. Recording myself teaching and receiving feedback from the instructors has been immensely helpful in building my confidence as a teacher. It was initially challenging to watch myself, but it has turned out to be the most effective way to learn and improve.

Overall, I am grateful and thrilled with everything I have experienced in this course. I feel confident in my ability to teach and help others on their yoga journey.

I want to express my love and thanks to my teachers for everything. The yoga class was a perfect fit for me. Since I am a beginner, they often paired me with two advanced students, which helped me learn much faster than I expected. The organization and guidelines for everything were meticulously planned with great detail and revision. As a building project manager, I can see how every aspect of this school is carefully considered, from greeting guests to scoring tests, as well as teaching poses led by instructors or supported in pairs or groups. The schedule was perfectly balanced with break times and guided activities like beach and spa excursions. I was pleasantly surprised by how caring the staff was outside of class, spending time with students at breakfast and lunch, as well as organizing outings. The management even had a 24/7 hands-on group coordinator outside of teaching. It was a fantastic idea that kept the group united and motivated. I am already looking forward to returning for the 300-hour course later this year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And let’s talk about the location – it was absolutely incredible. And Secret Beach was so serene and peaceful, with just two excellent restaurants that gave it a cozy vibe.

I booked the deluxe room on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea and I couldn’t be happier. Listening to the sound of the sea all night long was so relaxing. My balcony had a comfy hammock swing that I spent most of my free time on. Every morning, I indulged in gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino that were absolutely delicious. I was impressed by the quality coming from Thailand. The rest of the breakfast, including muesli, toast, eggs, salad, seeds, and fruits, was pretty good. But the gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino were worth the extra cost.

Breakfast was great because we all ate together, giving me high school vibes and feeling energized after yoga. The instructors, including Shashi, Edward, Victoria, Alon, and Minty, were wonderful teachers who provided detailed and clear instructions on a variety of subjects. I was surprised and impressed that the teachers interviewed each student privately to discuss our health, past experiences, and course expectations. Throughout the week, we participated in group sharing circles to express our feelings. The instructors were very receptive and open to any suggestions we offered. I was worried that the Ariel acro yoga might be too challenging since I had only ever tried regular half-mat and Vinyasa yoga before. However, the regular yoga classes were the best I have ever experienced. The other styles were also excellent, even though I had little to compare them to. The group work was of high quality and encouraged us to develop self-sufficiency and help each other grow. Thank you to my fellow students and instructors for sharing their knowledge and love. I absolutely loved this course! It was the perfect escape in a pristine natural environment and a fantastic learning experience – exactly what I needed. The instructors were so kind and always encouraged me to take breaks when I needed to. In the afternoons, the resort treated us to free coconuts and a special electrolyte mix, which was a bit strange but really energizing. The breakfast was good, but the lunch was excellent. I couldn’t get enough of the traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and green curry from the regular menu.

I tried eating at cheaper restaurants nearby, but the quality just didn’t compare to the resort. So, me and two other students decided to sign up for a cooking class there, and it was a blast. Every day, there were tons of classes to choose from like SUP, regular yoga, and more serious subjects like philosophy and anatomy. The instructors took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all of our questions.

First of all, the staff quickly answered my email and sent materials for me to study before my arrival. So when I arrived, I already knew the instructors and felt comfortable with the basics of breathing and foundational poses. It was really cool because all the other students had done the same thing, so we had things in common to discuss and could share our personal development. I had been worried that the training would not be serious because there are so many styles. However, the schedule struck a perfect balance between fun and serious study. If someone wasn’t seriously interested in teaching and wanted to skip some things, they could do more SUP or beach yoga instead. Even these classes were tied to a structured methodology. Everything at the yoga retreat was wonderful, but getting there can be difficult if you don’t plan well. I was hesitant to join because I’m not a thin girl with yoga experience, but I found that every class offered easy options for me and more advanced options for others. What I appreciated the most was their attention to detail and safety. They always pointed out possible dangers, mistakes, and benefits of different yoga poses, whether aerial or sup, instead of just showing us how to do them. It seemed like they have a lot of experience with the million courses they do each year, so they really know what they’re doing.

Some fellow students who had already completed 200 trainings said this course was much better and regretted spending money on cheaper training in India. Even though I don’t plan on teaching yoga professionally, I feel confident in instructing friends and family after this course. The island, resort, and shala are all stunning, but I found the resort staff to be annoying, so I switched to a room at the High Life Resort or Haad Son Resort at Secret Beach, which were much nicer for the same price. I would definitely recommend staying at one of those resorts instead.

The deluxe room bathrooms have a basic design. You are awesome. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Several of us came together, and the school accommodated us well, organizing activities for acro, sup, aerial and normal yoga based on our levels and interests. The philosophy lectures were mind blowing. They really made me rethink my life and career. My job may be fun, and people may have a good time, but in the grand scheme of things, it feels kind of shallow. I was impressed by how well they integrated mindfulness philosophy even into our beach activities. I have a new outlook and appreciation for the blessings of life. The program offered a variety of options that catered to different levels, from fun challenges for athletes to supportive steps for beginners looking to achieve advanced poses. Restorative and sup yoga sessions with Ria provided a nice balance, while beach acro and aerial yoga offered the perfect opportunity for some amazing Instagram photos. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the traditional yoga classes, thanks to the detailed alignment instructions provided. Shashi’s philosophical teachings were intense yet easy to grasp. The shala was set amidst beautiful surroundings, with birds and trees all around, but the dining area could use some improvement.
