Let’s talk about the daily schedule. Keep in mind that it’s just an example and subject to change.
On Sunday (day 1), check-in at 3 PM and have an orientation at 5 PM.
From Monday to Saturday, start your day with a 6:45 AM morning yoga practice followed by breakfast at 8:45 AM. Dive into anatomy, philosophy, and methodology at 9:30 AM, then move on to the asana lab at 10:30 AM. Take a break at 12:30 PM then resume with pranayama, meditation, and teaching at 3 PM. Later, enjoy Aerial, Acro, and Yin sessions at 4 PM before finishing at 6 PM.
On the last Saturday, start with morning yoga at 6:45 AM, have breakfast at 8:45 AM, and finish the day’s activities by 9:30 AM.
Are you ready for some yoga practice? Each morning begins with a two-hour guided Hatha or Vinyasa yoga class. Expect pranayama, meditation, and options for both beginner and intermediate levels, with hands-on adjustments and feedback sessions. This Intermediate training delves into advanced poses and specialized themes like chakra awakening and trauma release.
Let’s move on to the Asana lab. Every day, you’ll explore asana form and function on a deeper level, integrating energetic and bio-mechanic components, exploring advanced asanas, gaining deeper breath awareness, and mastering foundational equivalents.
Workshops for Aerial, Acro, Ashtanga, and Yin yoga provide a specialized focus each day to enhance your practice. Aerial yoga, in particular, is a specialty at ULU Yoga, with opportunities to alleviate back pain and increase balance with cushioned swings.
Make sure to take advantage of meditation and pranayama sessions to deepen your practice and understand the benefits of various techniques.
Interested in teaching skills? ULU Yoga strives to produce quality instructors, providing opportunities to teach classes and receive feedback for professional development.
Anatomy and philosophy instruction explore the body and deeper nature of reality, while workshops on business essentials guide you on becoming a successful yoga professional.
Enjoy fun activities like Beach Yoga, SUP, and dance to celebrate life, along with self-study assignments and online modules to enhance your learning experience.
Upon completion of the program, you will receive a certificate and become qualified to teach vinyasa yoga worldwide. How exciting!
In the morning, you’ll do yoga on the resort’s private beach and snap some amazing pictures. After that, you can refresh and detox in the sauna and ice bath. There are plenty of beautiful beaches within walking distance! The resort has its own small private beach, while Haad Yao beach next door offers a wide sandy stretch with fantastic restaurants and activities. Across from that is Secret beach, a tranquil spot with shady trees and a laid-back atmosphere.
Don’t miss out on the nature hike to one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the world with Ulu Yoga. It’s a surreal experience with beautiful greens meeting stunning turquoises at the top.
You’ll also get to try out sup-yoga classes included in the package, and you can use ULU Yoga Supboards during your free time.
Koh Phangan, Thailand boasts a world-famous bohemian paradise without big crowds or traffic. This course is held at a beautiful beachfront resort in Haad Yao. Nearby, you’ll find plenty of great restaurants, boutique shops, live music, and dancing. Koh Phangan, Thailand’s fifth biggest island, is known for its stunning natural beauty. Situated 70 kilometers from the mainland and just 12 kilometers from Koh Samui, Phangan doesn’t have an airport and relies on ferries from the mainland and Koh Samui to bring in visitors.
You’ll need to complete 200 hours of this course online through the Thinkific platform. You can work at your own pace and have up to two years to finish.
Ulu Yoga Thailand packages offer a delicious breakfast and lunch menu. The breakfast menu includes a variety of Western-inspired dishes to kick start your day after your morning yoga session. The Thai lunch buffet takes you on a culinary journey through flavorful dishes. For dinner, you can dine at the resort or check out nearby beach restaurants just a few steps away. The Ulu Yoga team will support, but not pressure you to make healthy choices.
There are plenty of local markets, beach bars, and cafes to explore such as Locco’s Pizza, Coco Locco’s on the Beach, Amara, Vagga, Seaboard’s Restaurant, and Bubba’s Roastery. In Srithanu or Hin Kong, try Taboon, Sea Tara, Karma Cafe, Eat Co., Sati Pot, Alcove, and Chana Masala. If you’re in Ban Tai, don’t miss Harmony Beach Club.
You can explore so many fantastic additional activities on Koh Phangan like ecstatic dance, kirtan, sound healing, snorkeling, diving, night markets, temples, live music, waterfalls, mountain treks, endless beaches, and parties.
In this course, you can detoxify your body in the sauna and refresh with an ice bath to improve your immune system, decrease inflammation, and manage stress. Sometimes they have sound healing and kirtan at the venue, but it’s not a sure thing. The training package doesn’t cover spa treatments or ice baths, so you’ll need to pay for those yourself. The cost for the full treatment is only 250 THB per person.
You have up to 1 year to complete the online training part, with a 14-day residential training. You will receive a Certificate of completion after the training. You will stay for 13 nights in-person training accommodation, with daily breakfast and lunch provided. You will also receive daily yoga instruction, go on a nature hike, and take SUP yoga classes. You will be given a printed yoga teacher training manual, along with yoga mats, props, and water. You can enjoy the swimming pool, beach, and SUP boards. December 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed this week. They combined practical and theoretical work perfectly and offered a side program in the evening to take us out. They also made sure my accommodation was close to the yoga training center so I could walk there. I definitely recommend it.

November 26, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m so happy I chose ULU Yoga! Everything from the course to the food was just perfect. One thing I loved was that our group was small. It made it easy to chat and make friends without feeling like we were just a number. The teachers were welcoming and knowledgeable, so I felt like I was in good hands. I learned so much about yoga, the lifestyle, and even about myself. My time at ULU Yoga in Uluwatu was simply amazing, and I’m grateful for the wonderful experience!

November 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved everything! I wish I had signed up for 21 days instead of 14! Uluyoga really nailed it with creating the perfect environment for us to learn. The teachers were friendly and easy to approach, and the admin staff were so caring and responsible. The classes were structured in a way that we got to practice teaching every day, which really helped build our confidence, even for those of us who had never taught before. I couldn’t wait for classes each day, especially with my amazing new friends by my side.

November 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI stayed at One Degree Sunset Hill, which is located on the main road, so it can get noisy at night. Just a heads up for light sleepers. But the place was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room :/
Helpful ReviewI rated it 5 stars, even though I would say it was more like a 4/5 for quality and price. I completed my 200-hour YTT with Uluyoga in Bali and all the teachers were absolutely amazing!
It’s the perfect combination of authentic yoga with caring and down-to-earth humans. And Bali’s beautiful beaches are a bonus. If you’re looking for a well-planned school with a great balance of different teacher energies and knowledge, this is the place to be! You get to experience a bit of everything, so you can find what suits you best. The included breakfast was delicious with both sweet and savory options. The shala is peaceful and conveniently located with great restaurants nearby for meals.
A huge thank you to the ULU yoga team! Héloïse was an incredible lead teacher with a vibrant energy and deep knowledge of chakras. Manjeet was a fantastic philosophy teacher with a traditional Indian influence and a great sense of humor. Salome taught a traditional approach to ashtanga, Eddie led aerial yoga, Lloyd and Flo taught acro yoga with a focus on safety, and Krystal’s flowy vinyasa was a favorite. Tania, the coordinator, was extremely helpful and caring. Each teacher brought something special to the experience.
I highly recommend ULU yoga!

November 15, 2023 at 12:00 amHonestly, I loved everything about it. The organization, food, teachers, class schedule – all top-notch. It was such an amazing, life-changing experience. I was new to the yoga world and didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed every single class. The teachers were all unique and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Our group of students became like a new family to me. We shared so much understanding and unconditional love. We cried, we laughed, we meditated, practiced pranayamas and asanas together, got massages, and shared meals. It was truly an unforgettable growing experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to enrich my life with so much knowledge and tools to navigate life’s hurdles, while also cherishing the beautiful moments ahead.

October 17, 2023 at 12:00 amI was a little bored in Uluwatu, but I loved my training here. If this program was in Ubud, it would have been fantastic. I completed the 3-week 200-hour advanced course and loved the flexibility of the hybrid program. I thought it was an excellent all-encompassing program that introduced me to many different styles of yoga. The majority of the instructors were great!

September 1, 2023 at 12:00 amThis was Bali and things can be unpredictable here. If you keep an open mindset and are flexible with the schedule, you’ll be fine. The team handled any issues like construction noise at the venue with ease. I suggest going for the premium package for hotel rooms onsite with the shala if possible. It’s definitely worth it. The content and learning format were excellent. The online videos complemented the in-person program perfectly. The instructors were genuine, caring, and knowledgeable. We got to experience a wide range of yoga styles and had a blast. I felt well taken care of and safe throughout the training. I highly recommend Ulu Yoga for an authentic teacher training experience.

August 25, 2023 at 12:00 amI chose to do my yoga course with Ulu because they offered Acro and Aerial experience in addition to the traditional practice. This way, I could delve into the traditional practice and also get a sneak peek at other ways to practice and teach. August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amWe loved using the swing that Ulu created, it’s super easy to use. It was such a fun experience! I’ll need to adjust what I learned to regular swings back home. The Aerial Teacher Training at ULU yoga was amazing. Eddie really made sure everything ran smoothly the whole time. Bamboo, where we stayed, was lovely with its cozy shala, friendly staff, and delicious food. The days were well-balanced with theory, practice, and rest. Minty was an incredible teacher, so knowledgeable and warm. Heloise and Lloyd were also fantastic. Eddie’s morning aerial flow was top-notch. Our group of 12, with half being yoga teachers and some new to aerial, all felt the course was tailored to our levels. We bonded instantly and felt so grateful for the experience. Our stay at Taman Sari was fantastic too.

Ulu Yoga’s high standard and quality product produce the best yoga instructors in the world. I’ll always be thankful and carry that love and support into my own teaching practice. August 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThe 3D accommodation was the only thing that wasn’t perfect. They didn’t clean it as often and sometimes we didn’t have any water. Some might have had a problem with it, but I wasn’t bothered at all. I saw it as part of the experience and embraced it, living like a native. I loved it and would stay there again. The girls I communicated with through emails since the beginning were amazing. They gave me all the support I needed to feel safe and confident about the course. The online classes were so inspiring and exciting, I’ve never enjoyed studying so much in my life. All the teachers were great, but Manjeet was my favorite. His wisdom and energy came through the screen, helping me understand Yoga philosophy and the benefits of Pranayama and training our minds. Cody’s Anatomy classes were also interesting. His dynamic teaching made it easier to understand. Choosing between Thailand and Indonesia for the in-person portion was tough, but I went with my heart and intuition and chose Bali. It was the right decision. Uluwatu is an incredible town with amazing energy, beaches, and restaurants. Everyone I met at our Shala holds a special place in my heart. From my classmates to the teachers to everyone at Le Bamboo, they created a supportive community where we not only learned new skills but also how to connect and love ourselves. The different activities in Ulu helped us build confidence as teachers and be creative and intuitive in our classes. I’m grateful I found this course and had this experience.

August 18, 2023 at 12:00 amThe original shala only had 1 toilet. However, the ULU program was fantastic. It provided a mix of theory, yoga history, vinyasa, hatha, yin, acro, and aerial yoga. The teachers were knowledgeable, engaging, and all-around great humans, which made the learning experience brilliant. The mix of students from around the world with various yoga backgrounds and ages made the 3 weeks a blast and helped create great friendships. The new ULU shala has stunning views and is well-appointed. Personally, I loved that I could choose my own accommodation and source my own lunches and dinners. I stayed at the Hidden Hills Villas, which were stunning and just a short walk to both ULU Shalas.

August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amThis training transformed me, leaving me inspired, knowledgeable, and with incredible lifelong friends. One thing I loved was the daily asana labs where we practiced teaching and refining our cues. It really helped me embody what I learned. I appreciated the emphasis on practical application as I did some online study before coming in person, giving me flexibility and an extra bonus day! The teachers were amazing, sharing their vast knowledge and passion for yoga in an engaging and nurturing way. The shala has a new building with air conditioning and breathtaking ocean views for beautiful sunsets. This experience taught me more than just yoga poses; it showed me the power of self-discovery, connection, and our ability to inspire positive change. August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amI should mention a few things here:
Helpful Review1. The hotels are very basic, so keep your expectations in check for accommodation.
2. We had some miscommunication and coordination issues due to having two classes at the same time, but it’s understandable. This was my first yoga teacher training and first time in Bali – the three-week experience was absolutely amazing for me!
It was more than just learning yoga and training to be a teacher – I’m truly grateful for everything I learned there. I learned about self-love, being brave, and staying humble, among other things. I highly recommend it for the following reasons:
1. Ulu yoga offers a variety of interesting non-traditional courses like aerial, acro, beach, and SUP yoga. I’m a big fan of aerial yoga and had a blast with Ulu’s unique hammock.
2. The teachers are all caring, knowledgeable, and lovely, despite their diverse backgrounds. The classmates come from all over the world, making each day a learning experience about different cultures and life stories.
3. The location in Uluwatu is less touristy, close to the beach (great for surfers), and has plenty of good restaurants and cafes.
4. They provide a textbook on-site and offer an online learning platform that I found helpful. You have access to it for about a year to revisit whenever you want.

August 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t like that they didn’t tell us we were going to lose a whole day of on-site training due to the day of silence until we got there. I was wondering why we were still paying the same price. But most of the teachers were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience incredible, both in terms of learning to teach and self discovery. I also loved learning acro!

August 5, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t have any negative experiences during the teacher training itself!
Uluwatu isn’t the best for pedestrians like me who prefer walking over taking taxis or scooters. There aren’t always walkways, but I was able to make my way to the beach. Most people opt for taxis or scooters instead of walking through the streets.
There’s a lot of construction in Uluwatu, but at the Shala where we did yoga, we couldn’t even hear it. It was the perfect place to relax and practice yoga. The teachers were incredibly kind and experienced, providing excellent instruction. They were always available to help and share their knowledge.
I really enjoyed learning Aerial, SUP, and Acroyoga – it was fun to try different styles. The delicious breakfast and long lunch breaks were great for preparing for teaching exams and relaxing by the pool before afternoon classes.
The ULUyoga team took care of everything, from arranging accommodations to recommending reliable taxi drivers. The structured online hours and high-quality videos were very helpful. Plus, you can still access the videos after the course.
I wish I could have stayed longer and done the 300-hour course right away if I had more vacation days. Hopefully, I’ll be able to return to Bali in the future for another course with ULUyoga.

August 4, 2023 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed the training location and how the teachers made everyone feel comfortable. I had been practicing yoga for a few years, but I learned and improved my practice even more than I had imagined. Despite some medical emergencies that were unrelated to yoga or ulu yoga, they supported me throughout the entire journey. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the course in person, but we quickly found a solution and I am now thoroughly enjoying the online course. The communication has always been clear and friendly. The teachers taught with passion, making it interesting and interactive. The space was consistently clean, the breakfast was delicious, and I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you for everything, and I am already looking forward to my next YTT with ulu yoga!

August 2, 2023 at 12:00 amSometimes the mat isn’t that clean, so I think I’ll bring my own next time. The examination seems too long, maybe 60 minutes would be better for beginners. I really love the teaching vibe and environment here. Doing yoga in a bamboo shala with teachers from different backgrounds is amazing. I learn a lot every day, both physically and philosophically. The interaction in class, like the sharing circle and activities, is great. And the sup yoga and acro yoga are just incredible! I never expected to experience so much here. And the best part is you never know how cute your classmates will be!

August 1, 2023 at 12:00 amThe information on what to focus on for online studies should have been clearer and provided upon receiving our login. Plus, some lessons were recorded from Zoom and the quality wasn’t great in a few of them. But I absolutely loved how the teachers were open and available whenever I needed them. It was quite an emotional rollercoaster, but I felt safe with the teachers, group, and surroundings. Yoga in the Le Bamboo Shala with an ocean view and surrounded by lush plants was my favorite part. I learned so much about yoga and myself! Every morning, I woke up excited for class. I really miss the daily routine and wish I had booked more weeks.

August 1, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved the Ulu 21-day 200hr YTT in Uluwatu! It was just incredible! I signed up to do yoga & learn more about yogi philosophy, and I came away with a genuinely transformational life experience. I also had the pleasure of meeting some beautiful people I will cherish forever!
Some key highlights for me:
1) The online content was great – being able to access online classes before, during, and after the 21-day program really helped me build a good foundation of knowledge. It will be helpful to recap some bits afterward too.
2) I’m so grateful to all the teachers for everything – their teaching of yoga both on and off the mat, their support, and their energy <3
3) The timetable had a good balance of physical asana practice, classroom learning, and downtime to relax, self-study, process, and explore.
4) I loved the mix of yoga styles - vinyasa, Hatha, Ariel, acro, and yin - I enjoyed them all.
5) The venue at Le Bamboo was perfect - a beautiful bohemian resort set on a hillside with ocean views, an infinity pool, fantastic staff, and delicious food. The shala had everything we needed and lovely nature views. Trying out the new Ulu shala was also a highlight - spacious and calm, perfect for Ariel and acro.
6) Eddie and his team ran the program seamlessly - their communication before, during, and after was great, and they were so helpful and accommodating.
I'm incredibly grateful for this experience and can't recommend Ulu YTT enough!

July 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t really have any complaints, everything was great. I just want to give a big thank you to ULU Yoga for the fantastic time I had at my on-site Training in Uluwatu, Bali. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I am so grateful for all the laughs, tears, and insights we shared. Even though the training only lasted two weeks, I learned so much! I not only learned how to design classes and teach others, but I also gained a deeper understanding of myself and my own practice. My favorite parts were the trip to the spa one evening and getting to try out different yoga styles like acro, aerial, yin, and SUP yoga. I now feel ready to teach vinyasa and hatha yoga classes and continue my spiritual journey. Thank you again for such an amazing experience!
Oh, and I have to mention how much I loved the breakfast! There were so many options to choose from, and I discovered my new love for smoothie bowls. 😀
I also want to mention that the shala is brand new and has a beautiful view of the sea. It’s also really good at canceling out noise, which is great because there is a lot of construction going on in the area right now (July 2023).

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI won’t book this teacher training again, sorry. This wasn’t my first YTT but it was the worst one so far. It seemed like the owners were just trying to make as much money as possible because Koh Phangan is a very touristy island. We hardly did any meditation, didn’t learn much about Yoga philosophy or spirituality, and had no anatomy lessons. All we had was one Acro and one SUB Yoga session. The breakfast they provided wasn’t enough to keep us nourished.
Some participants had just arrived with no knowledge, while others had been there for 2 weeks already and completed their 200h or 300h training. So we were all at different levels, which made people frustrated when we started another anatomy or philosophy lesson.
The teachers were nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely attend a class with them again.

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t really have any complaints, I was happy all the time. Some last minute changes in organization didn’t bother me at all. That’s just how life goes! The last shala, Le Bamboo, was a bit small and hot, but we were spoiled from the amazing shalas we had visited before. This teacher training was absolutely fantastic. Having 5 different inspiring, wise, and generous teachers was truly a blessing. Each of them provided us with tools and wisdom for our journeys as yoga teachers and human beings. I am so grateful to have met them and learned from their stories.
We got to experience a different shala every week, which was a great opportunity to explore new places. The teachers and organizers were always helpful and quickly resolved any issues that came up. It was a safe environment to grow, learn, and remember our true selves.
I came for a break from winter and to deepen my yoga practice, but I found so much more. I gained a deeper understanding, support, and made wonderful connections with beautiful souls, teachers, and friends. Thank you to everyone for your presence and love!

February 22, 2023 at 12:00 amIt would be nice to have another day off to enjoy some free time activities with the Organizer. The resort staff was too slow for the appointed breakfast. We addressed the issue but it didn’t change in the long term. It would have been nice to have extras like discounts in the restaurant, laundry service, or scooters (even though they were officially available, it wasn’t realistic). January 31, 2023 at 12:00 amThis course was all about having fun, not just getting certified as a yoga teacher. Some people might love that, others not so much. Personally, I wish the analytics classes were more structured since many of us were inexperienced and struggling with alignment.
But, I really loved the supportive teachers and their caring attitudes. The venue was decent, but the noise from traffic at night was a real annoyance.
Overall, I highly recommend this course. It was one of the best experiences of my life! Heloise was an incredible teacher, the Shala was stunning, and the whole team was dedicated to our group. We had thrilling Areal and Acro classes, practiced on the beach, and even tried out the SUB board.

December 18, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff at the beautiful resort were kind and accommodating, but I felt the breakfasts could have been better. They were not filling, so I often had to order a second dish. The quality of the food provided was different from the food we bought elsewhere. The purchased food was tastier, bigger in portion, and seemed to be made with more care. Besides the breakfasts, I have no other critiques. Cody and Shashi, the wonderful hosts, created a safe space for self-exploration and vulnerability. I felt heard, seen, and loved during my entire stay in Koh Pha Ngan. Their knowledge was impactful and humbling, and it has influenced how I want to navigate life. The course boosted my confidence as a teacher, and it was a safe space to express any emotions. September 19, 2022 at 12:00 amThe booking process was straightforward. Saghar helped me with all my queries over the phone. She answered questions about ferries, transportation to the resort, and more. She responded quickly and was really friendly and helpful.
I did some online studying before my trip to Thailand. The videos were easy to understand. I loved the philosophy and found it clear just from watching the videos.
When I arrived in Thailand, the resort employees had a welcoming vibe. The room was okay, but I should have chosen one with air conditioning because it was really hot and humid. Despite that, I pushed through.
The instructors, Cody and Lena, were amazing. They were welcoming and great for both beginner and advanced students. Cody’s explanation of the philosophy was fantastic. I related it to my own life and understood it well. Lena was a calm, soothing teacher. Her voice made me want to be a great teacher like her too.
Ulu Yoga truly changed me for the better. It took me a while to write this review because looking back on my experience makes me want to go back. I miss the vibe and the people there.
I will definitely choose Ulu Yoga for my next course. Thank you, Uluyoga. Sending lots of love ❤️.

September 8, 2022 at 12:00 amFrom the start, Saghar really helped me out. She reassured me, explained what the stay would look like, and helped me arrange my trip. I felt super comfortable at the venue, thanks in part to the teachers (Cody, Lena, and Elif) and, of course, Saghar. They are all very compassionate, sweet, and qualified. I had a great experience and would definitely come back here for the 300 hours too.

August 17, 2022 at 12:00 amI really like how they structured the course. The instructors were great with our time and made sure we could enjoy all the activities. I appreciate how they allowed us to engage with other students, practice teaching, and get familiar with the sequence before the actual teaching practice. The instructors also gave us constructive feedback regularly, pointing out our strengths, areas for improvement, and offering suggestions for improvement. It was a well-rounded experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am so grateful!

August 15, 2022 at 12:00 amBeing in Canada makes it tough for me to attend live yoga classes through zoom due to the time difference. Luckily, I have access to recorded classes from Ulu Yoga that allow me to practice at home when it’s convenient for me. The program offered by Ulu Yoga covers a wide range of topics like philosophy, anatomy, and various yoga styles, with each teacher bringing a wealth of knowledge to the table. The Ulu Yoga team is incredibly supportive and kind to their students, making the journey to becoming a yoga teacher a fulfilling one. I appreciate the flexibility of learning at my own pace from home. Some of my favorite parts include practicing yoga with Janaina and listening to her beautiful mantras, as well as learning challenging asanas and anatomy from Cody. Kehkashan’s deep dive into asana analytics with variations and props has been eye-opening, and Manjeet and Dr. Kalpana have taught me the importance of connecting with myself through pranayama and meditation for inner peace. I feel grateful to have found Ulu Yoga in my search for a 200hr yoga teacher training.

May 9, 2022 at 12:00 amThe audio quality for “Bones 1” and “Muscles” wasn’t great, with the sound being so low that it was hard to understand what Cody was saying. I really appreciated Cody Pizer’s knowledge as our course trainer, as I was learning a lot of new things despite having a background in Biology and previous YTT. Cody presented the topics clearly and understandably, making it easy to follow along. I also liked the structured course layout, with basic anatomy and functional anatomy separated. Overall, I enjoyed the topics covered and how we can incorporate them into our yoga classes, such as supporting students with injuries.

May 4, 2022 at 12:00 amI didn’t like that I couldn’t do the training in person due to Covid 🙂 In the beginning, I was hesitant to do a big 300-hour training online, but I decided to give it a go due to circumstances! I chose to do it with ULU Yoga and I am incredibly grateful. Right from the start, it was clear that they offered a warm and welcoming community with the opportunity to participate in weekly live lessons and teaching practices. And let me tell you, those were the highlight – don’t miss out on them!
Helpful ReviewAll the teachers were pros and each added their own personality to their teachings, which was amazing. It was a great chance to learn from the best.
The training structure was well-organized and progressed in a logical manner; step by step, you were introduced to more in-depth knowledge and I never felt overwhelmed during the course.
You can progress at your own pace, which is obviously a benefit of doing the training online. The training encourages you to have constructive criticism towards yourself and helps you to grow and see things from a different perspective.
The support team at ULU was always available at short notice.
Overall, it is the best training out there and I highly recommend joining the live lessons and teaching practice – these are the absolute gems of the course. And most importantly, remember to enjoy the process.

August 11, 2020 at 12:00 amI have been dreaming of learning yoga with this school for a long time. Two of my friends took the course and loved it, and now thanks to online learning, I finally got the chance too. I met daily with all the instructors in live classes, which was great because I could record the classes and watch them again later. This was much better than sitting in a classroom and struggling with my note-taking skills. I also joined private study groups with other students, and I was able to form connections and make friends from all around the world. I was worried about missing out on this, but it turned out to be a major highlight.
The traditional yoga instruction was detailed and organized, with Salomé being an incredible instructor and practitioner. I particularly loved the philosophy aspect of the course. The format was well-structured with assigned readings, questions, and follow-up discussions. I have been trying to study yoga philosophy for years, and now everything is clear to me. It was also a treat to see Bali in the videos, which has motivated me to travel there and take the course in person next year.
One thing that stood out to me was the teaching examinations. I practiced teaching several members of the course on Zoom and even taught my mother while stuck at home. I recorded myself teaching, and the instructors gave me valuable feedback. It was a bit tough to watch myself at first, but it turned out to be the best way to learn. I now feel confident to teach and help others, and overall, I am very grateful and happy with everything.

June 8, 2019 at 12:00 amI want to express my deep gratitude and love to my teachers. The yoga class was perfect for me because they paired me with two advanced students, which helped me learn much faster than I expected. Everything was meticulously planned and detailed, which I could appreciate as a project manager. The school’s attention to detail, from greeting guests to scoring tests and teaching poses, was impeccable.
The staff’s care and dedication outside of class, spending time with us at meals and organizing outings, was truly touching. The 24/7 group coordinator was a fantastic idea that kept us united and motivated throughout our stay. I am already looking forward to returning for the 300-hour course later this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

May 30, 2019 at 12:00 amI love Koh Phangan, it’s my new favorite place in the world! My yoga experience here has been so special – I’ve been loving the mix of Thai Massage and Buddhism, it’s such a wonderful combination. Instead of just practicing on my own, I’ve been connecting with other students both physically and emotionally, deepening my practice and forming meaningful bonds beyond the mat. The teachers here really know their stuff, and the program is super well-organized and professional. December 23, 2018 at 12:00 amI booked the deluxe room on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea and I was thrilled. The sound of the sea all night long was so relaxing. My balcony had a comfortable hammock swing where I spent most of my free time. Every morning, I ordered delicious gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino, I was impressed by the quality coming from Thailand. The rest of the breakfast was also good with muesli, toast, eggs, salad, seeds, and fruits. However, the gluten-free pancakes and cappuccino were worth the extra cost. Eating breakfast together was cool, it felt like high school. The instructors Shashi, Edward, Victoria, Alon, and Minty were wonderful teachers with clear instructions on a variety of subjects. I initially signed up for a short course but ended up joining the full training because it was fun and academic at the same time.

December 20, 2018 at 12:00 amThe school gave us quality yoga mats and their own specially made aerial swings that were much more comfortable than the silk hammocks I had tried in the past. I didn’t enjoy sup yoga much because I easily get seasick. However, I absolutely loved the aerial yoga classes. They really know their stuff when it comes to this style. I was thrilled to have the flexibility in the program to choose what I wanted to do. The Seaview from my room and the beaches on both sides of the resort are absolutely stunning. It was difficult to wake up early in the morning for meditation, but I ended up really enjoying it and plan to continue deepening my practice daily. What I enjoyed the most was the chance to practice teaching yoga. It helped boost my confidence and strength, and now I can’t wait to go home and share what I’ve learned with my friends and family.

December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amShashi, Victoria, and Edward warmly greeted me at the resorts. I was pleasantly surprised when each student had a private interview with the teachers to discuss our health, experience, and course expectations. Throughout the week, we had group sharing circles to express our feelings. The instructors were very open to and flexible with any suggestions we had. I was worried that the yoga would be too advanced since I had only done regular half that and Vinyasa yoga before, but I must say, the regular yoga classes were the best I’ve ever had. The other styles were also excellent, even though I have little to compare them to. The group work was top-notch and encouraged us to be self-sufficient and caring towards each other’s growth and development. A big thank you to my fellow students and instructors for sharing their knowledge and love. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday in paradise with high-level yoga training, this is the perfect place for you.

December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amI loved this course as it offered the perfect escape in a pristine natural environment while providing a great learning experience. The instructors were kind and encouraged me to rest when needed. In the afternoon, the resort gave us free coconuts and a special electrolyte mix which was strange but very invigorating. The breakfast was okay, but the lunch was excellent. I ordered various traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and green curry from the regular menu. I tried cheaper restaurants nearby, but the quality was poor compared to the resort. So, two other students and I signed up for a cooking class at the resort, which was a lot of fun. There were classes every day like SUP, regular yoga, and more serious subjects like philosophy and anatomy. The instructors took the time to explain everything in detail and answer all of our questions. I enjoyed being with the other students, teachers, and staff. It felt like a little yoga family village that will always hold a special place in my heart.

December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThe staff quickly answered my email and sent study material before my arrival. When I arrived, I already knew the instructors and felt comfortable with the basics of breathing and foundational poses. It was cool because all the other students had done the same thing, so we had things in common to discuss and could share our personal development right away. I was worried that the training wouldn’t be serious due to all the different styles, but the schedule struck a perfect balance between fun and serious study. Even those not seriously interested in teaching could opt for sup or beach yoga instead, but these classes were still tied to a structured methodology. I was surprised by how organized the sup classes were and I really enjoyed the aerial yoga. Their unique style and special aerial hammocks were very comfortable. December 19, 2018 at 12:00 amI sometimes miss the big shopping like in Bangkok, but Koh Phangan does have a nice Saturday market. That’s the trade off for natural beauty 🙂 This was my first yoga retreat. Life changing beyond expectation and the best time ever are the words that come to mind. This experience completely changed my life, values, and friendships. I know that when I go home, I won’t be the same person and I must cut many negative relationships. Thank you dearly to my spiritual guidance Shashi for opening my own path. Thank you Victoria for your radiant laughter and positivity. Thank you Alon for your incredible knowledge of traditional yoga and self-respect. Thank you Edward for sharing the gift of flying. There was a wide variety of classes and we were able to get feedback and make some changes for how the group was feeling. I felt shy at first to express my opinion but the instructors sincerely welcomed anything they could do. There are two yoga spaces. One you can see the ocean from and another one by the pool which was good because it had mirrors. It was so nice they let me take a mat and some blocks to practice on my balcony. Sometimes it was so hot I was sweating like a Bikram class. But the studio had big fans blasting the whole time and after releasing so many toxins, I was sweating much less. Overall, the level of instruction had a great depth and variety and the location was heaven.

If your budget allows, I recommend upgrading to a deluxe sea view room, which was incredible. The teachers are very knowledgeable, skilled, and equally caring to beginners and experienced students. The yoga classes offered a good variety for beginners and advanced students. There are many options to go deeper or take child’s pose. The accommodation was surrounded by green gardens with ocean views, and the teachers and staff were very friendly. Every day, breakfast offered something different and healthy. I recommend waking up early to catch the breathtaking sunrise and taking a dip in the sea at sunset for some acro yoga on the beach. Balancing on a SUP board during yoga was tough, but the instructors were very attentive in helping me. We also visited different beaches during our free time, each offering incredible views. I grew to love starting my day at 6 AM with yoga in the beautiful shala overlooking the sea. At night, I could relax to the sound of the waves and feel the ocean breeze in my bed. July 25, 2018 at 12:00 amGetting to the retreat was tough without planning well, but overall, the experience was amazing. I was initially worried about joining as I’m not a thin girl with experience in yoga, but each class had options for beginners like me and more advanced options for others. What I liked the most was their attention to detail and safety, always pointing out potential dangers, mistakes, and benefits of different yoga poses, whether aerial or sup, not just how to do them. It seemed like they know what they’re doing, probably from running a ton of courses each year. Some students who had completed 200 trainings before said this course was much better and regretted wasting their money on cheaper trainings in India. I might not become a yoga instructor, but I feel confident in teaching friends and family. The island, resort, and shala were all stunning, but the staff at the resort were a bit annoying, so I switched to the place next door, which was just as nice and similarly priced. I’d recommend staying at High Life Resort or Haad Son Resort at Secret Beach instead.
