Paint and yoga retreat in Ubud, Bali for three days.

I had nothing negative to say because I knew it was a private retreat. This won’t be the best option for those looking for a group retreat. Mats and blocks are provided, but bring your own if you’re picky. You’ll enjoy private yoga sessions every morning on the rooftop of the beautiful 4-star Purana Suite hotel with the amazing Tini. I appreciate that this retreat supports a Balinese business. Tini will adjust the level of yoga based on your experience. Beginners can expect pranayama, while experienced yogis will focus on strength. The private sessions gave me the adjustments I needed and challenged me every day. After yoga, enjoy pampering from the excellent hotel staff. It’s a solo retreat, but you’ll never feel lonely because the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and get to know you and your journey. I learned a lot about Balinese culture from the staff, making my stay even more meaningful. The location is close enough to Ubud center to explore during the day. I feel like I’ve deepened my practice and gained more confidence in my abilities.

I wanted to go on my first solo trip, so I decided to start with a yoga retreat in Ubud. Staying in this hotel was a great choice. The entire staff was always very attentive and helpful, with a smile on their faces. My teacher, Tini, was more than just a teacher – she helped me connect with my deepest self and introduced new techniques and poses that I really enjoyed. I’m so grateful to have met her… she’s a beautiful person with a very pure energy. Without a doubt, if you’re thinking about taking a break from your hectic life, this is the perfect place.

The driver who took me on the scheduled excursion, Weyan, was a true guide, driver, and a great photographer ;P He was always ready to capture the moments I asked him to 🙂

The romantic dinner with myself was a bit funny when I thought about it hahaha but it was really beautiful and enjoyable.

The included treatments were the best! Who doesn’t like getting a massage? 😛

I can’t even begin to explain how much the whole experience at Purana Boutique Resort blew me away! Seriously, it was way beyond what I had expected. And let me tell you, choosing a favorite part is next to impossible. The accommodations were absolutely fantastic, the morning yoga classes with Tini in our villa were just blissful, and the private cooking lesson was an absolute delight. But let me not forget to mention the outstanding personal service from the entire staff, especially Augus. They really went the extra mile to make my friend’s birthday so incredibly special with all these surprising treats. Honestly, it was all just so extraordinary. So, if you’re ever in the mood for an amazing time right in the heart of Bali, I can’t recommend Purana Boutique Resort enough!

The shower area in my bathroom needs improvement. I didn’t like the wooden decking.
I had my massage either in the room or on the balcony. It didn’t have the spa vibe I wanted, but I fixed that by playing a spa playlist on Spotify with my own portable speaker.
The construction next door was really annoying though. It was very noisy one day, but quieter on other days.
The staff at Purana boutique resort are some of the friendliest and nicest people I’ve ever met. They were so welcoming to me as a single traveler. I decided to extend my stay by one night and booked an extra yoga and massage session because I felt like two nights weren’t enough for a “retreat.” It was such a great deal for the price. Tini, the yoga instructor, is amazing during one-on-one sessions. I’ve never had such a great stretch and workout before. She even provided therapy in her sessions. Plus, I got massages every day! What more could I ask for?
Having breakfast by the pool right outside my room was pure bliss.
There’s also a fantastic coffee place just outside the resort.

I have nothing to complain about. Dex Tini was a wonderful yoga teacher. I couldn’t have wished for anyone better.
The spot on the hotel terrace where the yoga took place was really beautiful.
The hotel was perfectly located for eating out, shopping, etc., and all the staff were super friendly and very competent in their work.
As a solo traveler, I felt completely comfortable.

I couldn’t do more excursions and I would have liked to. Overall, I had really good days. The attention was great.

All our meals were late, which was extremely disappointing. The most frustrating part was that our last breakfast was half an hour late and the staff didn’t even apologize. On top of that, the breakfast didn’t include everything it should have. We had to ask for things like milk, and then we had to wait for over 20 minutes just to get our drinks. I specifically stated that I don’t eat red meat, yet there was ham included in the breakfast. To make matters worse, the toast was cold too.

When we checked out, the receptionist didn’t bother asking about our stay. As a customer service representative, it’s important to always ask about the experience. Thank you.

I must say, the villa was awesome, with its private pool and spacious room. The bed was very comfortable, and overall cleanliness was acceptable. The staff were kind and friendly, and the yoga classes were truly amazing. The yoga instructor was a true professional.

I didn’t find anything about this enjoyable NOT enjoyable. We enjoyed everything, the beautiful location in the rice fields, the staff is very service-oriented and nothing is too much. Our butler Arya was very kind, and he was also very accommodating. The yoga classes started very early (at the other location of Purana) at 7 am, but it was no problem for Ibu, and her classes were excellent.

We couldn’t have stayed longer. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the full benefit of the pool due to the lack of sunshine. The pool was a bit shady. Everything was absolutely amazing. Nadieta, the yoga instructor, was perfect. The staff at Purana were genuinely attentive but not intrusive. The location and style of the resort were quiet and private.

We were absolutely amazed by every single detail of our stay at Purana. We couldn’t find a single flaw! Our honeymoon celebration there was truly the most incredible time. The Purana team went above and beyond to ensure that our experience would be unforgettable. From the moment they picked us up at the airport, Arya and the whole team made us feel so welcome, like we were amongst dear friends.

Purana itself is such a charming and peaceful place. We felt like we had the entire resort all to ourselves! They even served all our meals, tea, and massages right to our room. And when we wanted private yoga sessions, they found quiet areas where we wouldn’t be disturbed.

Arya was our guide and he truly made our trip extraordinary. He took us to all the sights we wanted to see, and he even suggested additional fun options. If we mentioned that we liked coffee, he brought us to a coffee plantation. And if we said a butterfly was beautiful, he took us to a butterfly observatory. It was incredible!

We truly cannot thank Arya and the whole Purana family enough for their amazing efforts. They have given us memories that will last us a lifetime. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you again, Arya and the Purana family!

The WiFi worked fine 🙂 Everything was incredible. They were so kind and helpful. The place was absolutely fantastic.

Where is the location, and what kind of service do they provide?

I didn’t think some of the room service food was great, especially the duck spring rolls and calamari rings. They didn’t taste fresh at all. However, the Crispy Duck was amazing and made up for it.

I was really looking forward to the candlelight dinner that was included in my package. Unfortunately, it was raining that night, so they couldn’t set up the pool with petals like I had hoped. I was a little disappointed, but I understood. The dinner itself was a 3-course meal, but it wasn’t exactly to my liking.

The best things about my stay at Purana were:

1) The villa was beautiful and had a private pool. I loved that my bath and shower were outside. The only downside is that if you’re scared of spiders and bugs, Ubud might not be the best place for you. It’s a tropical location, so you’ll encounter critters of all sizes during your stay.

2) I had never tried yoga before, but my instructor was patient, kind, and made me feel comfortable.

3) I had breakfast served in my villa every morning, and it was the best part of my day. The breakfast menu had a lot of options, and one day I even had a “floating breakfast,” which was a unique experience.

4) I went on a private excursion around the North of Ubud. I paid 600,000 IDR for a half-day trip to see temples, the view of Mount Batung, Tegalalang Rice Terrace, and the Monkey Forest. My butler, Adi, accompanied me and provided historical information at each location. They offer a variety of excursions that you can customize.

Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Purana. It’s a beautiful resort with exceptional customer service.

There were flies on the balcony, and there were even more when I had my meals out there. Also, the resort is secluded with no lampposts along the way. They do provide a shuttle bus service to drop you off and pick you up, especially at night. But if you’re fine with walking in the dark, you can do that too. The service at Purana Boutique Resort was absolutely excellent! They always tried their best to accommodate my requests.

The personal service and care at this place were top-notch! The staff was incredibly friendly, making our stay even better. Although the location is a bit remote, my friend and I intentionally chose it for a peaceful escape to focus on practicing yoga and meditation. Plus, the hotel offers various transportation options to easily reach the city center. And let’s not forget about the amazing food here, it was absolutely superb!

I recommend doing yoga practices twice a day in the flowing yoga style. The villas are amazing, peaceful, and beautiful. The staff at the villas were incredibly nice and kind. We had an exceptional service experience!
