Serenity is a fantastic place to stay. They have a great location and offer super healthy and delicious food. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They took care of me when I got sick and helped me get back on my feet quickly. The Yoga classes they offer are awesome, I enjoyed every single one I joined. Thank you for everything, I had a great time and will definitely come back. I highly recommend it!

I was initially in a single bedroom with a fan, and it was way too hot. My “window” looked out onto the communal indoor bathroom, so there was no way to get some fresh air.
After enduring 9 hot nights, a room with air conditioning became available, so I was able to switch. There were construction noises right behind the wall of my room all day long, until the end of my stay. I couldn’t enjoy my room (and the AC) during the day because the sound of the machines was unbearable. I had to shower with earplugs. The workers were constantly going back and forth through my small terrace, where a chair was blocked off with a sign that read “Thank you for your understanding of the inconvenience caused by the construction”.
Other things bothered me like the springs in the mattress, the low water pressure in the shower, the hot water only lasting 3 minutes, the poor condition of the bath towels, which didn’t smell fresh at all, the room flooding every morning after a night of rain… Instead of fixing the issue, I was asked via email to put all my belongings at a higher level. If I had to do it again, I would only get the yoga pass and stay somewhere else.
PS: I was in the Yang room. The pool is small but very peaceful and surrounded by greenery.
The yoga classes were really good. It’s great to have a monthly pass and decide day by day which classes to attend.
The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant, security, gardeners, housekeeping staff,… thank you to them for everything!
Very close to the beach, on a rather quiet street. Very pleasant.

Honestly, absolutely nothing. Serenity is a truly magical place. It has a peaceful, soft, and bright atmosphere. From the employees to the residents, everyone is filled with a true sense of kindness.
I truly had an idyllic week there, the yoga classes were both interesting, spiritual, and challenging, with teachers who cared about everyone’s well-being, in a real connection and interaction. The classes were numerous, varied, and complete, so everyone could find something they enjoyed.
The breakfast was delicious and different every morning, with fresh, quality products. I also had dinner at the Guest House, and the cuisine was truly top-notch.
The garden is a real paradise, despite being close to the lively life of Canggu, it feels like being in the middle of the jungle, with trees, flowers, and local fauna like squirrels, birds, and little geckos.
The spa and services offered are of impeccable quality, with attentive staff who are incredibly kind.
Finally, the Guest House is ideally located, just a stone’s throw from the beach and its fabulous sunsets, and close to all the necessary shops and services.
I felt at home at Serenity.
I will definitely go back, that’s for sure.
Thanks a million to everyone for this stay.

I loved everything at the yoga studio! The best classes in the world are there, with my favorite being Hatha classes (also yin, power yoga, and sunset flow) with teacher Qino! Qino always gave clear instructions, made appropriate adjustments, and offered options for all levels. The yoga shalas and rooms are kept very clean. The food in the cafe is tasty and fresh. Everyone who works there is friendly. The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming, so you’ll never feel bored! I will definitely be returning. I’ll miss you all!

I didn’t like that they allow people to join class after it has started. It’s really disruptive when people show up late, like 15 minutes or more, and try to squeeze in between mats. It’s disrespectful to the yoga instructors and everyone in the class. Most places I’ve been don’t allow it. I think this should be a rule. Despite that, I enjoyed being there. The yoga instructors, Diaz, Qino, and Yogi, were amazing. Their energy was great, and they were so friendly. The classes were challenging but fun. The staff was really friendly, and I thought the place was beautiful with all the plants around the pool.

I found the best option in Canggu! The staff are amazing – so friendly and hard working. They clean the accommodations daily, make the beds, and provide fresh towels even in the dorms. There’s a great selection of yoga classes with gifted instructors. The community vibe is real with the pool and lounge chairs. I spent 12 nights there and barely left except to go to the beach, just a few minutes walk away. I would definitely come back.

Some construction was happening across the road – it kind of disturbed the peace a bit, but didn’t totally ruin the experience. I absolutely love it there! The whole place just exudes such a serene vibe. The food is incredibly nourishing, tasty, and reasonably priced. The yoga classes are so diverse and the teachers are super professional, plus all the staff are just delightful. The noise coming from the nearby bars wasn’t really a problem in the end, but we were still able to sleep! The warmth, simplicity, and kindness that this place exudes – it’s a haven of peace for me. I preferred the dorms for more socializing, the vegan meals, permaculture, the staff, the property – I walked around barefoot all the time. The proximity to the beach and shops.

The yoga teachers are very professional and knowledgeable, especially Kemie with whom I took a lot of inversion classes – they’re all insightful. The yoga studios. The SPA for massages and wellness. The pool, fruit trees, and medicinal plants.

Thanks to the whole team, see you soon!

I wasn’t a big fan of Canggu, but that’s not on the center. Make sure to reserve a room with a private bathroom if you value your privacy. The single rooms without a bathroom are cheaper, but they’re so tiny that I felt claustrophobic. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to prioritize sustainability, local ingredients, and organic food. The restaurant and yoga classes are fantastic. The dorms are spacious and great if you’re into that kind of traveling. Overall, it was a great experience, especially if you’re into surfing because the beach is super close.

We slept in a 6-bed dorm. On the last night, a cat snuck around our bed and even got partially in it. As someone who isn’t a fan of cats or is even allergic to cat hair, I strongly urge to keep cats away from the premises. The atmosphere was incredible. Everything was very clean.

The noise around the premises is the only downside. It’s not really their fault, but we have to mention it. There is a lot of construction around here, so some classes were noisy. Also, if you stay at Seabreeze, you’ll hear roosters just outside. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s better to sleep at Serenity itself. It’s a bit quieter. The yoga class selection was really nice! We spent one month at Serenity and we wanted to extend our stay. We tried out all the yoga classes, enjoyed the variety of practices and loved all the teachers. The pool area was perfect for relaxation and the resort staff were very friendly and attentive.

The only downside we found were the uncomfortable mattresses in some of the private rooms. We tried out 4 different rooms and all had uncomfortable mattresses that led to back pain. We advise against staying in the Tarzan room as it lacks AC, privacy, and can gather smoke from surrounding fires. However, the resort staff were accommodating and stopped smoking near our room when we asked them to.

The Alkaline restaurant was good with reasonable prices and healthy food options. The breakfast buffet was decent, but you can find better food nearby for a slightly higher price.

Overall, we had a great experience at Serenity and would definitely consider returning in the future.

The reception was amazing, they gave me a tour of the property right away and really took the time with me. The atmosphere is super relaxing. The bed is comfy and surrounded by curtains and a mosquito net. The room is pretty dark, even during the day! They tidy up your bed every morning. The breakfast buffet is amazing! So many different vegan options to try: homemade bread slices with peanut butter/jam, fruit, different specials each day (pumpkin, chickpea soup), and coffee, tea, milk, and juices! The homemade peanut butter and jam are so tasty!!! The restaurant on site also has yummy vegan options at a good price. I stayed in the shared room with 3 yoga classes. Other teachers are good too, but they don’t adjust students. I went to Kemi’s class to learn inversion, but she’s not really teaching it step by step. Instead, she just told me “if you’re not gonna try, you won’t be able to do it.” I’m not comfortable doing inversions without someone assisting me, as I might injure myself. The yoga classes with teachers Kartana, Mano, Quino, and Yogi are great. These teachers adjust students and are passionate about sharing their knowledge.

I booked a private room with a shared bathroom for 30 days originally.

In Canggu, I wish I had done more research beforehand. It wasn’t what I expected – it’s very westernized and full of partygoers and surfers. Most businesses are owned by foreigners, according to the few locals I met. Great for partying, not so great for a serene yoga retreat.

The room was small with just one single bed and a dresser. There were two windows, one facing the bathroom/shower area and the other facing an alley where smokers hung out, despite being a smoking-free resort. I could hear people coming and going from the bathroom and sometimes even smelled cigarettes in my room.

Unfortunately, the WiFi didn’t reach my room, making video calls and online streaming impossible. I asked to switch rooms or pay for an upgrade, but they said they were fully booked and couldn’t make any changes in their system.

After a week, I decided to cancel my stay and leave Canggu. The yoga classes were fantastic, with talented and knowledgeable teachers. The staff was friendly and brought a positive atmosphere to the center. The pool area was lovely, although a bit limited for sunbathing. The spa next to the pool was great, with good prices for the quality.

Despite the accommodation issues, I would definitely return for the yoga in this facility.

Breakfast included fruit and homemade raw breads, with a different hot item each day like Balinese porridge, scrambled tofu, or banana pancakes. The food for lunch and dinner was also amazing, fresh, and wholesome. I found this place by chance, and I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Bali.

Sometimes guests leave the shared bathroom facilities unclean, especially the toilet seats. One of the instructors took the tokens at the start of class and didn’t respect my request to be left alone with my practice. The accommodations here are simple and eco-friendly. The staff here are super helpful and kind! You have to try the amazing vegan breakfast buffet. The pool area is so peaceful. The yoga classes are really good. Most of the instructors here teach a more modern style of yoga, with a focus on movement. Some instructors also incorporate traditional practices into their classes. There’s a class and teacher here for everyone. The location is perfect – close to the beach (great surf spot) and walking distance to some nice restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We couldn’t use a key for the dorm room. The bathrooms weren’t very clean. The beds were really hard. If you’re on the bottom bunk, expect centipedes to crawl on you at night. It’s very damp here, so you never feel clean or dry unless you leave the dorm. Unfortunately, the food made people sick, so I skipped breakfast and ate somewhere else. I think this may have just been my dorm experience, as others seemed fine. The yoga was a lot of fun, and the teachers are extremely helpful and fun, especially for beginners. The pool is nice. The location is great because it’s a quick 10-minute walk to the main area. It’s hidden and quiet. The staff are lovely and accommodating. When we had no hot water, they fixed it immediately when I mentioned it. It’s a great place to meet people, and staff and security are available 24/7.

I left the guesthouse slightly disheartened because someone stole my treasured bracelet, towel, and bikini drying on a rack. The staff did their best by taking down my name and room number in case they turned up, which I appreciate. But I still can’t help feeling a bit sour about it. The staff were very friendly, and you could take a 2-minute shuttle from S1 to S2 anytime instead of walking 10 minutes in the dark. The food was amazing and such good value. The pool was just perfect, and I enjoyed every yoga class (even though I left the retreat after a week with aches everywhere haha!). Thank you, Serenity, for giving me a great holiday.

In Serenity 2, the roosters were really loud (louder than expected) and the bathroom sometimes stank. They were doing construction in front of the main building, which was also noisy. I personally thought the dorms here (Serenity 1) weren’t as nicely decorated as in Serenity 2. The staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The food was good, the yoga classes were mostly great, and the location was awesome. The pool was also really nice and I felt comfortable here 🙂
Although there’s no air conditioning in Serenity 2, there’s a personal fan for each bed. They have mosquito nets attached to all the beds in both buildings – which is a big plus.

The housing in Serenity 2 is far from block 1 and not as well-appointed as the housing in Serenity 1. Our air conditioning broke down and it took 5 days to get it fixed, the temperature was unbearable.

Avoid the alkaline restaurant at all costs! The banana bread tastes like play-dough, and if you don’t want to be sick for 4 days like me and many others at the hotel who got sick at the same time (weird, right?), skip the restaurant and eat outside for much better and cheaper food.

The breakfast was bland, even though we knew it was vegan, everything lacked flavor. When they ran out of pineapple jam and we asked for more because we didn’t like papaya, they refused and said we had to finish the papaya first.

We didn’t eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant, but when we asked for two simple spoons, they wouldn’t lend them to us. We paid 120 euros for the room and yoga for the week, but unlimited yoga for a week costs only 60 euros, and we felt that the room (or rather the bed in a dorm) was not worth 10 euros a night.

The staff wasn’t very welcoming, and there wasn’t really a nice place to relax if you didn’t buy from the restaurant. It’s a shame because we were excited to try the yoga experience in Canggu.

The aerial yoga class was great, and the location was convenient. The cleanliness of the room and common areas was good.

Breakfasts at the resort were repetitive and uninspired, with low quality and lacking imagination. The hygiene standards definitely need some improvement here. And having stinky dogs in the restaurant? Probably not the best idea!

On a positive note, the yoga teaching and facilities were top-notch. The accommodation was decent for the price, but the food was just okay. Unfortunately, the quality of breakfasts seemed to decline over time.

Interestingly, there were a lot of sick people at the resort, all claiming they got a bacterial infection from eating the food here. It’s definitely something to consider before booking a stay here.

The breakfast was vegan and delicious. I also tried the cakes at the restaurant, all vegan and great. I thought that the whole place was very coherent with their food offer, yoga, spa, and permaculture around the property. They even care about the type of chemicals they put in the pool! I joined an ecstastic dance session lead by Deva which was awesome too! They just need a proper sound system 😉 My favorite was the aerial yoga class! You must try it once!!! I really enjoyed the food at first, but then it got a bit boring with so many dishes being the same. I was trying to avoid salads because they were washed in general water, but most dishes had raw ingredients. I’m not sure what their vegan alkaline diet really includes, but I would have liked more legume-based dishes. We did have moong beans for breakfast one day, but it was a strange sweet porridge. Overall, breakfast was okay, but the fresh juices were more like purees than juice. There seemed to be a jacuzzi at one end of the pool, but I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. Our room was in the middle of the complex, while some of the other accommodations were further away on a busy road. I wouldn’t want to stay in those places, even with a shuttle available. Despite my reservations, I would definitely go back.

Booking unlimited yoga classes was a bit ambitious, but we managed to do at least one a day, sometimes two. There were so many types and levels to choose from, running from 7am to 7pm. All the instructors were excellent and the facilities were top-notch. The staff were extremely helpful and seemed to genuinely care about our experience. The place was spotlessly clean and provided a peaceful environment to relax in. The pool was great for lounging, and our ensuite room was right by it. The spa treatments were outstanding and reasonably priced. It was just a short walk to the beach as well.

I stayed at serenety2. There were a lot of chickens and roosters around, but they didn’t bother me at all. However, the entrance is a big, very loud, wobbly metal gate that is pushed open and closed all night by people coming and going.
The room is very noisy because the door is a sliding door that doesn’t close completely. The beds are very comfortable! The AC is very quiet.
    The pool is very clean.
The breakfast is good but mostly sweet. There is always sliced fruit, bread with sweet spreads, and a warm dish (baked banana or porridge, etc.).
The room itself is small, with a bed and a mosquito net, which is all you need. The bathroom was cleaned every day.

I’m not sure what was happening there, but every single new person who stayed in the dorm, including myself, and plenty of people in other rooms as well, got some kind of terrible 24hr vomiting and diarrhea sickness. It could’ve been the included breakfast we all ate, or something to do with sanitation or water quality, or possibly a 24hr flu that is spread because people are always coming through. But regardless, every single person staying in the dorm, and people in other rooms as well, got sick during my 10-day stay. The yoga was great, I really enjoyed the open-air studios. The pool was beautiful. The wifi was okay. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the beach. It was a really relaxed atmosphere with extremely helpful and kind customer service.

The rooms were great, but I wasn’t a fan of waking up at 4.30 to the noise of roosters and dogs right outside my window. Earplugs, headphones, nothing could block out their crazy morning racket! Despite that, the vibe and staff at the lodge were fantastic. Kartana’s yoga style suited me well, and I appreciated his corrections. Diaz was amazing at yoga, but I struggled to keep up with his level and would have preferred more physical guidance. The staff were overall amazing, though I did have one strange encounter with what I think was the office manager. He brushed me off to another staff member when I approached him at the desk. When I thought of a yoga retreat, I envisioned a more structured experience with the same people, main teachers, and a set schedule. But here, it’s more like a guest house with drop-in yoga classes. You might end up rooming with people who aren’t into yoga, so your schedules may clash.

While it’s not exactly what I expected, I actually really enjoyed my time here. It offers a lot of flexibility, and for the price I paid, I couldn’t be happier. The teachers, classes, staff, and fellow guests were all amazing. I even made some new friends.

I imagine some people could be sensitive towards insects and nature, but that wasn’t the case for me. Just a heads up though, Serenity’s eco-friendly approach means there’s more wildlife around their facilities. My first time in Bali was all about taking it easy, so Canggu and Serenity Eco Guesthouse were the perfect fit. Check-in was a breeze and I got the lowdown on all the amenities, which were top-notch. I especially loved the intense Balinese massage and highly recommend the Ashtanga and Aerial Yoga classes. The finishing touches in the sanitary facilities are used a lot by many people. If you’re looking for more entertainment in nightlife, shopping, etc., you’ll have to walk a bit, about 15 minutes. It’s doable during the day but less ideal at night. I found it to be a nice place to land in Bali. There is peace and plenty of spots to settle in. There is a wide range of good yoga classes available. The spa is delightful and reasonably priced. The beach is just a 2-minute walk away. The staff is friendly and helpful.

And being able to get a massage right at the lodge is so convenient if you just want a relaxing day without going too far. The yoga classes were amazing with different teachers bringing in their unique approaches. I attended 81 classes in a month and loved them all, except for one class with Hannah. It was a complete waste of time, not even close to yoga!

Yudah’s classes were decent, but his English could use some work. It was a bit irritating to hear bad grammar and unnecessary talking during class. Some students even left because of it. Hopefully, he can fix this issue by focusing on proper English instructions.

The Alkaline restaurant had some issues with slow service and chaos. It was frustrating to see others get served before me, even though I ordered first. The kitchen seemed disorganized and put pressure on guests with tight yoga schedules. However, the breakfast was worth the wait, especially the sweet porridge.

The staff at Serenity was outstanding! They were always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Despite working long hours in a tourist area, they remained humble and dedicated to their jobs. The receptionists, yoga instructors, drivers, and massage therapists were all amazing.

I stayed in a shared dorm at Serenity 2 and loved the AC and quiet atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home.

Special thanks to all the yoga instructors for their unique teachings. They all offered something special, and I learned a lot from each of them. Diaz, Chitra, Mia, Nia, Yogi, Kartana, Mano, Ika Dewi, Todjon, Sida, Amanda, and Lala, thank you for a wonderful experience.

I felt surprised when I had to hand over my passport upon arrival. I tried to pay cash for my first night at 1:30 am, but they insisted I surrender my passport to get a room. This was definitely not something I’m used to while traveling.

My room was B7, and the dog somehow made its way into the common area near the stairs to the toilet. The second night, it growled and barked aggressively at me, but thankfully ran away. I have to admit, it was a bit scary.

The yoga classes were more challenging than I anticipated, but the instructors made it enjoyable. The food was creative and imaginative – I’m not vegan, but I enjoyed trying out the menu. The pool and massage facilities were top-notch and exceeded my expectations.

The pre-arranged ride from the airport was definitely worth it. My driver spoke good English and patiently waited for me through the full 90 minutes it took to get through customs and immigration.

Our room. Not a peaceful night. Just next to a dog breeder according to the person at the reception.. dogs barking constantly and roosters making it impossible to sleep well even with earplugs. And these noises continue even during the day. Hearing dogs bark all the time is not pleasant. We had a fridge but no kettle so no hot water available as advertised, having to walk 1.5km for a cup of tea is not what I call convenient. The shower didn’t work, we had hot water one moment and cold water the next. For the budget, the room is not acceptable… and not serene even though that was its name. The Serenity center was nice, the pool, the restaurant, the garden were good but when you don’t sleep there, you can’t enjoy the services offered like hot water, cold water, relaxation room, pool, breakfast everything is there thankfully we had a scooter because it was really not close by. The yoga classes and equipment are perfect and there are classes available at any time of the day.

If you enjoy camping, then Serenity is the place for you. Personally, I don’t. The mosquitoes take over the site and there isn’t much done to keep them away, except maybe turning off lights and providing ineffective mosquito repellent. I wouldn’t call it a peaceful escape, it’s more like staying at a Guesthouse with a yoga pass. The class schedule only includes one beginners class, and the other classes that are supposed to be for beginners were not suitable in my experience. The quality of teaching also varies greatly. Some teachers, like Nia, focused more on getting Instagram-worthy pictures during Aerial yoga. Todjion was hesitant to provide any adjustments during class. Magdalena, on the other hand, was an excellent Vinyasa teacher who focused on authentic yoga and provided three variations of each pose suitable for all levels.

I needed medical attention during my stay, and the staff didn’t seem concerned at all. They were unhelpful in finding a doctor, causing me to wait over 4 hours. It’s not a good way to treat young solo travelers. The rooms were terrible, especially considering the price difference for air conditioning and a private bathroom. One bathroom was covered in dead moths and mosquitoes. It was also very noisy from parties, animals, and motorbikes.

On the bright side, the food at Alkaline restaurant was delicious, and the surfing excursion was fantastic. Some of the staff were very helpful.

You can clean it by yourself, but there is a lot to do, so being part of an organized group is much better.

The teachers are excellent; they help correct your postures and the classes are very dynamic, focusing deeply on the asanas. All levels are welcome, which was great for us.

Some of the bathrooms didn’t look too great, but they still kept them clean. In the morning, it can get noisy outside your dorms with the staff and the “fire man,” as we started calling him. But if you’re up early for yoga anyway, you learn to deal with it. It would be nice to have the aircon on a timer so it doesn’t wake you up every morning when they come in to turn it off. And it’s weird that they open the window as soon as they shut off the air – shouldn’t they keep the cold air in as long as possible? It would be great if the later, more relaxing yoga sessions were in a quieter room. The noise from the motorbikes and people talking below can be really distracting. But these are all minor things and wouldn’t stop me from coming back. Everything exceeded my expectations. There was a good variety of classes and the teachers were great. By the end of it, you’ll find yourself in a pretty nice routine. The food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond. I loved the mosquito lotion! I can’t wait to go back… hopefully soon!

I enjoyed everything about my stay at Serenity, but unfortunately, I had a bad experience with bug bites. One morning, I woke up with my whole back, shoulders, and feet covered in bites. There were so many that I had an allergic reaction. It wasn’t just mosquito bites – I think they were bedbugs. The staff mentioned they might be from bugs outside our rooms in the bamboo, but who knows? I never actually saw any bugs, just woke up with 100 bites. People at yoga class noticed my bites and some said they had experienced the same issue. One girl mentioned that bedbugs were a common problem at Serenity, which is why she didn’t stay there but came for the yoga classes. The staff tried to help by applying coconut oil to my bites, but unfortunately, I woke up with more bites the next day. It was tough to focus on yoga and meditation with all the itching from the bites. It seemed like the bug problem was mainly in the single rooms, as the dorms seemed fine. In the end, I decided to cancel my last week at Serenity and went to Ubud instead. Despite the bug issue, Serenity is a fantastic place for solo travelers looking for peace, calm, and like-minded people to practice yoga in a lovely environment. The location is excellent, close to the beach, and the yoga classes are top-notch. The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I particularly enjoyed Kartana and Pusba’s classes, but there’s something for everyone at Serenity. The spa services were also very good.

I don’t think this qualifies as a yoga retreat. They don’t have a set programme, coaching, or guidance. You basically just get a place to stay and a yoga pass, and then you have to figure everything else out on your own. This can be especially frustrating for beginners.

Plus, the place is way busier than I expected based on the descriptions and website. This is mostly because of the (pretty good) restaurant and people walking in for yoga classes. The lack of structure combined with the crowds makes it feel more like a regular place to stay than a retreat in my opinion.

It’s a nice, budget-friendly place to stay and do some yoga. The classes are generally good (although the quality varies depending on the teacher), the accommodation is nice, the pool is great, and the location near the beach is fantastic.

If I had any criticism, it would be that the rooms need more plug sockets and aircon. The ceiling fans did very little. The shared bathroom facilities are plentiful. In my 31 days here, I never once had an occasion where there were not enough toilets or showers available.
Lots of people got Bali belly so I would suggest taking a stock of Imodium. This was not due to anything in the hostel, mostly food eaten off-site.
I would recommend the 30-day program. It gives you time to chill, rethink, and relax with the yoga.

I stayed in the Serenity Dorms 2, 500m away for the first few days. Unfortunately, the rooms lack charm and atmosphere. They are small and dark. However, the entire Serenity team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, available 24/7 and always giving their best. After a few days, you feel like part of a big family.

I highly recommend the massages in addition to the yoga classes. The restaurant prices are reasonable and not more expensive than outside. The resort has a beautiful, well-maintained garden with a clean pool and many little details, a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Even the dorms in the resort are cozy and clean. They even made the beds every day. Overall, it’s an unbeatable value for the price! I stayed for a week and I will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

The flies buzzing around in the garden while you’re trying to eat can be really annoying and gross at times. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the yoga teachers are all so professional, talented, and fun to practice with. I really enjoyed my stay here.

They take great care of the environment and plants at that beautiful and eco-friendly place. The service is super nice, always ready to help and polite. I can’t even begin to describe how delicious the food at Alkaline is! I can’t find anything to be unhappy about. I definitely recommend it!

I found the fan in my room a bit weak which made it hot without the aircon! Maybe someone could check it out! But everything else, especially the super friendly and helpful staff, was absolutely amazing.

The location is perfect, easy to walk to the beach, rice fields, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Returning back to Serenity always felt like coming home because the staff felt like family. I met some wonderful people like Mel, Michael, Margaret, and Teri who made my stay extra special.

The yoga teachers Sida, Kartana, Mia, Yogi, Citra, and Daivum were all amazing. I wish I had attended more classes instead of lounging by the pool, but the relaxed vibe was very welcoming. The massages were also fantastic!

The owners, a joyful and kind couple, were very hands-on and passionate. It was touching to see the wife daily, dressed beautifully, offering fresh flowers in prayer.

Serenity is like a fairy tale with positive vibes that make you feel happy, safe, and at peace. I absolutely loved it!

I had an amazing month here and would definitely come back. Thank you all at Serenity for filling my heart with joy!

The philosophy of the yoga teachers varied greatly. I felt uncomfortable at times because it was all about pushing yourself to do more and being the best at stretching in class. It really took away from the yoga experience, especially for beginners. Plus, there was a virus going around, with someone different feeling ill near a toilet every day. We suspected it might have been the food at the restaurant, as no one had any problems before coming to Bali.

But the staff took great care of us – bringing me water and charcoal tablets in the middle of the night and even more the next day. They were incredibly kind and helpful, making it easy to feel at ease. They were truly exceptional!

My room at KrisKros was spacious and well-equipped with a fridge, mosquito net, fan, and air conditioning. The package with accommodation and yoga pass was also unbelievably affordable!

There were so many classes to choose from – I highly recommend trying the meditation courses, they were really great!

I couldn’t believe how great everything was there – the only downside was having to leave! I can’t praise this place and its people enough. The instructor actively encouraged people to take photos during the aerial class, but I think they should have waited until after class because it was very off putting.

My partner and I got very sick halfway through the retreat, so no more yoga for us. We can’t be sure where we got it from, but we only ate at one restaurant outside Sanctuary and it was always very busy. Others at Sanctuary were also sick. People didn’t properly wipe the mats, and I’m not convinced the cutlery and dishes were properly disinfected. The staff gave us a charcoal drink that really helped, but since we were in Sanctuary 2, we felt quite cut off. For example, I sent a message asking if breakfast could be brought to us because we were so unwell, but I didn’t get a response for 24 hours.

It’s fantastic value, just don’t get sick! We managed 3 months in Asia and it was our last week of traveling that got us. The classes were great, the pool area was very nice, and the breakfast was lovely. The room had everything we needed, and the free insect repellent was a nice touch. The staff were lovely.

WiFi kept annoying me, making me sign in every 15 minutes with the password “may all be happy.” I swear it’s a meditation conspiracy! But, everything else was awesome: chill vibes, friendly staff and teachers, delicious desserts, lotions, and soaps, plus comfy seating all over. Overall, it was a great experience.

The bed bugs were going around, but the owner doesn’t use chemicals. Also, the mosquitos and flies seem immune to their natural repellent and even store-bought mosquito repellent. The owner is a little rigid too. I had to get a refund because I couldn’t stand to be there anymore. But I did like the location and the yoga instructors.

We had bed bugs in the dorm, but the staff didn’t really take care of it and wouldn’t even pay for getting all of our clothes washed when we left so we could get rid of them. Some of the staff had a bad attitude. For example, when we told them about the bed bugs and when everyone was sick and we suspected it was from the food, they didn’t seem to care or do anything about it. I enjoyed all of the yoga classes and the instructors, as well as the pool area. The food was really good, but everyone in the dorm got sick and we weren’t sure if it was from the food. I appreciated that everything was eco-friendly.

I didn’t like Canggu itself. The yoga spot felt like an island amidst the craziness of Canggu. It was busy, especially with surfers strutting around all day with their surfboards, which was a strange contrast to the serenity of Serenity. I didn’t feel comfortable in Canggu. I really enjoyed the guests at Serenity. Everyone was there for the same reason, so it created a sense of connection. The yoga classes were very enjoyable and you were pretty close to all the shops and restaurants in Canggu.

Bed bugs were found in three different beds. The management did not take the problem seriously and claimed they had checked, even though they had not. It was clear they were pretending to be unaware when they actually knew about the situation. When confronted, they just changed their story. This lack of respect and discomfort from the situation does not match up with their name, “Serenity.”

I had to stay at Kris Kris, the 3rd building for one night. I didn’t like it much because the room smelled like a toilet. Serenity Yoga and Guesthouse is a cozy place where they welcome you with a smile and make you feel at home right away. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay in the main building because it was fully booked. I stayed in Serenity 2 and rented a bicycle to get around. The yoga classes were challenging at first since I hadn’t practiced in two years, but all the teachers were great at explaining and offering alternative positions to help me improve. In just a short time, I gained strength, lost weight thanks to the amazing alkaline restaurant, and found peace in my mind and soul. I left this wonderful place reluctantly and wished I had booked for four weeks instead! 🙂

The shower doesn’t have hot water and there are always insects inside. The toilet has damp tissue paper. The yoga mats and tools smell terrible, I had to leave class multiple times because it made me sick. It was a horrible experience. I suggest bringing your own yoga mat if you can’t handle the foul odor. The food at the alkaline restaurant is good but not cheap. I also enjoyed the high quality yoga classes and helpful staff.

Unfortunately, trash polluted the beaches in Bali. The entire staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and worked hard to ensure your stay was perfect! The yoga instructors were all amazing and I learned a lot. I also met some great people who were staying there too, as the place has a great vibe and attracts like-minded individuals. The value is also fantastic, from food, massages, and motorbike rentals. Plus, there’s enough nightlife within a few blocks to keep you entertained.
