Things to do (optional)

Need to balance your chakras? This treatment is the answer. Chakra Balancing therapy aligns and balances your body’s chakras, which act as the bridges between your internal energy and the energy that surrounds you.

Want to unblock limiting beliefs and uncover your true potential? Try Theta healing. This treatment involves muscle testing while you relax in a natural Theta brainwave state. Practitioners use intuition and “digging” techniques to get to the root of your deep-seated beliefs and karma that may be holding you back.

Looking to detoxify your organs and clear stagnant energy? Consider Chi Nei Tsang. This Chinese abdominal massage technique moves Chi energy throughout your body, enhancing the efficiency of your internal organs. Not only will you see improvements in digestion, respiration, and other bodily systems, but Chi Nei Tsang also offers emotional detoxification by releasing toxic emotions stored in your organs. It’s a great addition to any detox or fasting program.

Spa treatments

Unlock blockages in your body and balance your energy systems with the skilled traditional Thai massage therapists. This ancient technique, dating back 2,500 years, uses passive stretching, gentle pressure, and rhythmic compression movements along the body’s energy lines to increase flexibility and relieve muscle and joint tension. The treatment is both relaxing and energizing, improving blood circulation and range of motion.

Experience the best of both worlds with a Thai oil massage. This blend of traditional Thai massage and western techniques with essential oils helps your body relax and unwind. Targeting deep muscle tissues, it relieves pain and tension, stimulates circulation, and removes toxins while soothing the nervous system and restoring balance.

Soothe aching neck, back, and shoulder muscles with a neck and shoulder massage. Using traditional Thai herbal balm or oil and ancient techniques, this therapy releases knots and tension. It’s not only extremely relaxing but also improves blood flow, lymph system functioning, and stimulates the release of endorphins, benefiting those with limited range of motion in their shoulders or neck.

Experience the ancient healing practice of foot reflexology where reflex points on the feet correspond to vital organs and glands in the body. By manipulating these points, circulation improves, pain is relieved, and overall balance is restored to the body.

Don’t forget the benefits of abdominal massage during your Thai therapy session. This often overlooked practice helps purify and cleanse internal organs, restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit.

Try ear coning to have impurities safely removed from deep inside your inner ears. Using a hollow candle lit on the far side of your ear, herbal smoke draws out physical and emotional debris, improving hearing and balance, releasing pressure from nerve endings, and realigning subtle energy flows.

Indulge in the ultimate natural healing treatment with a mud wrap using natural Dead Sea mud containing 21 minerals and trace elements. Rejuvenate, revitalize, and replenish your skin with the mud’s tightening action, which promotes circulation, toning, and firming skin tissues, leaving it fresh and radiant. Choose from a facial, body, or combo wrap.

The roosters sing between 3 and 4 AM, depending on your cabin’s location. They’ll wake you up and keep you up until daybreak. Unfortunately, Orion can’t do anything about it because the roosters belong to the neighbors. I joined the 11-day Detox/Fasting program. Since I have fasting experience, the program was a breeze for me. I enjoyed the detox drinks and the supplements we had to take throughout the day.

The best yoga retreat on earth has to be experienced to be believed. The place, the atmosphere, the staff – everything is amazing. The food, the yoga classes, you name it. I’m definitely going back again.

The staff is lovely, the detox instructors guide you very well through the process, and the yoga is good. They gave me the best massage of my life and offer lots of other healing and treatment programs. I couldn’t fully enjoy the food since I was fasting for most of the time, but the juices and elixirs were great. The compound is beautiful and lush, making it a great place to relax and get rid of your emotional and physical baggage. And don’t forget about the lovely beaches!

I went to a yoga retreat for the first time, all on my own for six days and five nights! It was a bit challenging, but the staff and instructors at Orion made it all worth it. The office staff – Pinto, Nueng, Ann, and Sarita – were incredibly nice and helpful. Pinto, especially, was always patient and kind, answering my questions with a smile every day.

The servers, like Daed, Thar, and Apple, were also amazing. They prepared my meals and juices fresh daily, always with a cheerful attitude. Despite not being a vegan, the food was surprisingly delicious and left me feeling satisfied every time.

The yoga and meditation classes were exceptional, thanks to the skilled instructors and the beautiful ocean views from the studio. It was truly an idyllic experience. Overall, I had a wonderful time and I owe it all to the staff and instructors at Orion. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

    Take care, Shelley!

I used to get a bit grumpy sometimes with my food orders at the restaurant. The staff works hard, but when you’re fasting, waiting can be the worst and would sometimes frustrate me. But the food is so delicious that you kind of forget about the wait afterwards.

First off, I want to thank all the staff involved in this life-changing program. From the reception team to the yoga instructors, detox team, room cleaners who left my room smelling super nice, and restaurant staff – thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This was my first time doing a detox program, and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Maria, thank you for being there for me, supporting me, and helping me realize my potential. The human design experience was great, and now I’m super interested in learning more. I’m still following most of your advice (well, almost all of it).

Cara and Adelaida, thank you for sharing your knowledge and all the moments at Orion. Som was the sweetest, especially when she showed me how to do the colema – I’ll never forget that! Crystal, your classes were truly inspirational and always got me out of bed to participate.

The reiki session was outstanding, and although I can’t remember her name, I’ll always remember her energy and charisma. The chef’s cooking class was amazing and inspiring for my next journey. Thank you all, and I can’t wait to see you all again soon.

I love everything about this place – the vibe, the smiles of everyone, the beautiful setting, the yoga and meditation classes in nice shallas, the great reiki experience, the lovely bungalow with high standards, the great cafe and food, and especially the detox guides and care. They planned the program perfectly and everyone was so helpful in guiding me through my first detox and cleanse. I highly recommend it!

I was surprised to find out that one of the four shalas was booked all day for a separate teachers’ course, leaving only two for yoga classes. We could only attend a maximum of two classes per day on the yoga course, as the others were considered ‘premium’ and required extra payment. The spa treatments included in the price had limited availability, making it difficult to attend the few yoga classes that were available. It’s misleading to advertise unlimited yoga during the retreat when there are only two one-hour classes per day.

While the teachers are good or okay, some of them are not paid and volunteer to teach for food. The cost of a single class is 400baht, similar to prices in London, but the quality does not seem to match the price.

The reception staff are not very attentive and seem to just want you to leave rather than helping with any issues. There is always a long queue outside. Despite these issues, the location is beautiful and serene, with romantic huts and a restaurant overlooking the sea. The food is diverse, healthy, and vegan.

The waiting staff at the restaurant are lovely and provide a friendly atmosphere.

Despite reassurances that they could handle a nut allergy prior to booking, the meals were terrible. We ordered from a menu that had signs stating to notify of allergies, making it seem like we could choose nut-free options. However, this information wasn’t passed on to the kitchen, leading to allergic reactions from every meal. It seems like either the kitchen was dirty or the food prep was sloppy. Even when we mentioned the nut allergy, we were told, ‘it’s just almonds’ or ‘only peanut.’ We had to leave early and only got a partial refund. I was really disappointed by the experience, it was the worst I’ve had from a yoga retreat. On the bright side, the yoga facilities were great and the teachers were good. They offered a wide range of yoga and meditation practices and there were lovely spaces for practice and relaxing. The cafe had a good community feel as well.

The road in the middle makes it a bit noisy here; the shala is close to the road and the cafe, so even yoga sessions are sometimes loud. The yoga instructors rock, the vegan food is pretty tasty, and the sunset yoga sessions by the sea are pure magic! The accommodations are nice, with cool hammocks in each bungalow, and the staff is friendly.

I had to leave again and I need to save up before I can come back ;( Orion is a really beautiful place to just relax, do yoga, and detox. The yoga teachers and all the staff, whether at the reception or in the restaurant, are very friendly and helpful. I arrived so stressed out and left feeling super chill 🙂
I did the detox program and was guided very well through it. Then I did a yoga retreat, which I really enjoyed – there is an incredible variety of yoga classes available, I had the chance to try out different styles, just fantastic.

The detox program included two massages and one reiki. Unfortunately, 2/3 of the appointments were cancelled or double booked. The person performing the reiki session shared very personal and specific information after the session, and suggested that buying another theta session would solve all my issues, which was highly unprofessional. The detox manager mainly focused on creating “happy lists” and didn’t discuss the detox program, nutrition, or colemas. However, Ashtanga teacher Daniela was fantastic, the food was incredible, and the staff was very kind.

The class might be a little too gentle, so it’s better to bring your own travel mat. The staff may be a little confused and not able to provide much information, so it’s better to be open-minded about the food and accommodation.

It would be great if the yoga timetable was posted in more than one place and if there was a bit more information about what’s around the retreat. I really enjoyed my little hut and found it to be well equipped. The food blew me away every time I ate. And there were so many great classes to choose from.
