The teachers have very black and white viewpoints, and a healthy middle ground is rarely taught.
The whole house is dirty, the rooms had a lot of mold. Mushrooms were growing in the bathroom.
Almost everyone got sick (viruses and dengue fever), but the school didn’t care and thought it was due to the changing weather (I wish they took more responsibility, not just for the sick students but also for the healthy ones).
They took an extreme amount of pictures for social media, and sometimes it felt more like a marketing event rather than an authentic experience.

Overall, it was an adventurous experience. If you’re not sensitive to dirt and mold and looking for discipline and many rituals instead of relaxation, this is the right place for you. The food is okay, easy to digest but always very similar.
The teachers are experienced and provide good instruction.
The sunrise trip to the mountains was very beautiful.
The group was international, and there was a very pleasant and harmonious atmosphere.

The description has a few incorrect information: there’s no massage included, you don’t meditate in a cave, and the starting time is at 5am. We didn’t have specific lessons about Tantra either.

It’s important to note that if you do the 100H training like I did, you’ll be with students doing the 200-hour training. This means you’ll only have half of the total classes. For Kundalini, I only had lessons on 3 out of the 7 chakras.

From my perspective, it’s not possible to become a Kundalini yoga teacher after this 100H training, even if it’s mentioned in the description or if you’re already a yoga teacher of other styles. This is because you only get to see half of the program and Kundalini is a very deep and complex practice.

Some of the teacher’s behaviors were a bit questionable: texting during class, not being too involved in adjustments and corrections, and leaving the class early. However, overall, he is a good teacher.

I have to say that I didn’t really trust most of the speeches given by the Guru. There was a sense of comparison between “us, the yogis” and “others” who don’t seek self-improvement. I didn’t feel inspired by his talks. Also, sometimes the 5am meditation turned into a lecture on “how to sit” or “how to give a relaxation class.” At 5am, the last thing my brain wants is a lecture, no matter the topic. I completed the 100H Kundalini training.

The teachers are very knowledgeable and mostly happy to share their experiences and knowledge. I learned a lot and despite the early wake-up calls, I paid attention to get as much as possible from the classes. I will always remember the philosophy and Mantra classes with Mandeep Ji.

The Kundalini classes are intense and deeply moving. It’s not just about learning to be a Kundalini teacher; you’ll leave this place transformed.

The staff is friendly overall and the food was amazing. The location is also great – a quiet street but only a 5-minute walk to all the facilities. You can even swim in the Ganga during lunch break, and there are hiking trails nearby.

    You’ll definitely meet amazing people!

A huge thank you for this incredible experience!!!

I didn’t realize that I had booked both my 200 hours and 300 hours at the same school, which meant I spent two intense months in the same place with the same teachers. The only difference was one morning class. Thankfully, the teachers were outstanding and I am incredibly grateful for their knowledge and guidance.

My main criticism is that despite completing 500 hours of “teacher training,” I don’t feel like a yoga teacher. There wasn’t enough practice and feedback when it came to teaching. However, I did gain a lot of knowledge in areas such as anatomy, philosophy, and pranayama. This has inspired me to focus on my self practice and hopefully gain enough confidence to teach in the future.

The course was challenging, with early morning wake-up calls and classes that could go until late in the evening. It was mentally and physically demanding. Sometimes the energy levels felt overwhelming, especially when I was already pushed to my limits. However, I know it was all done with good intentions. The teachers were the highlight of this school. I am beyond grateful to Praveen, Ashu, Mandeep, Shobit, Anant, Sandeep Ji, Swarmi Ji, and Amit. They are incredibly knowledgeable in their respective fields and have a deep understanding of how yoga impacts the mind and body. I will cherish the lessons I learned from them and have recorded their chants and mantras to listen to whenever I need a reminder.

The food provided and the kitchen staff were amazing. I never went hungry during my time there. The cleaning staff also felt like family after my first month. The reception staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. As for the accommodations, they were exactly what I expected. During my first month, I stayed in a 6-bed dorm and then moved to a private room for the second month. Both were clean and met my needs. It’s important to note that this is still an ashram, so don’t come expecting luxury, even if the photos may suggest otherwise.

I had a fantastic experience when I approached Hari Priya with an issue I had during one of the classes. She was kind, caring, and open to my feedback. She made me feel heard and respected.

Throughout the course, we had the opportunity to meet various people and attend talks and performances from outside the program. This was a nice change of pace from the regular schedule.

The excursions were lovely! However, if you’re doing the 500-hour program, you’ll have the same excursions both months.

I personally felt that some classes focused more on delivering an experience rather than teaching us how to properly teach a Kriya or Sadhana. While there’s nothing wrong with giving us an experience, I believe it’s equally important to also focus on teaching us how to teach a Kriya in a structured way so that we can actually lead a Kriya class. There’s a big difference between a Yoga Retreat and a Yoga Teacher Training, and when I applied for the training, my intention was to be able to teach yoga afterwards. I would have appreciated more focus on actual teaching methodology, and it seems that many other students felt the same way.

On the website, it clearly states that the teacher training includes ‘Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan’. This was the main reason I chose to book with Kundalini Yoga Ashram instead of other schools. They seemed to be the only ones offering a Traditional Kundalini Course that also teaches Yogi Bhajan Style Kundalini Yoga. However, none of the material mentioned on the website, such as Many Poses, 10 Bodies, Sat Kriya, So Darshan Chakra Kriya, and more, were actually taught during the course. Later, I found out that the school chose not to teach them anymore. That’s perfectly fine, but it’s important to keep the website information up to date. I believe it’s the responsibility of the school to deliver the course as stated on the website.

Despite these concerns, I absolutely loved the passion of the teachers. You could really feel that they were teaching from the heart, which is crucial for us as students. It’s important for us to see and feel that the teachers are passionately living what they teach. I am very grateful for their genuine interest in sharing the beautiful teachings of Yoga. I especially enjoyed the Philosophy and Pranayama Class with Mandeep Ji, who radiates like a star with his passion and devotion for the ancient spiritual teachings. He is a real inspiration. I also greatly enjoyed the Kundalini Kriya Classes with Praven Ji and Hari Priya. They were the most transformative practices for me throughout the whole course.

The course provided a solid foundation and allowed me to connect things I had previously learned. In the end, I was able to create a comprehensive system that I can build upon. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing – I really mean it! I also appreciated the opportunity to visit a sacred temple and take a dip in the Ganga at 4 am in the morning. It was an experience I will never forget.

I am very grateful for all the beautiful souls at Kundalini/Samadhi/World Peace. Infinite gratitude and blessings to all!

Talking negative is difficult, but for the purposes of this review, I need to share my perspective. I encountered an issue with one of the teachers who was leading the hatha class. He was constantly looking at his phone, lounging on the couch, and nonchalantly giving instructions while resting his head on his hand. This behavior made it impossible for me to continue attending his classes, so I only ended up participating in three or four sessions before giving up. It’s essential for a teacher to be enthusiastic, as the energy of the class depends on it. Unfortunately, this teacher’s ego was just too much for me to handle.

On a positive note, I absolutely loved my overall experience. The other teachers were fantastic, the location was great, and the food was amazing. The staff members were friendly and our group was truly the best!

At first, their Mikrophon sounded really bad and it was hard to understand them. But they fixed their problem and now they have new Mikrophons, so you can understand them well. Remember, dear school, that the sound is just really important. I really enjoyed the 200h online training. The teachers are fantastic and I plan on taking the 300h course too.

There were some issues with the microphone or internet, but the team of experts on site was able to fix them at the time. My experience with the Kundalini Yoga Ashram India was absolutely wonderful. The teachers have a deep understanding and experience of yoga based on vedas and ancestors, and they are really nice and kind. I took their 200 hours Kundalini Yoga teacher training at my own pace and it was fantastic. I learned so much and had an amazing experience. The training covers a wide range of important topics for teachers. Aside from the recorded videos, I also had the opportunity to interact with the teachers and ask any questions I had. They were all very approachable and willing to help. I highly recommend this school. I found exactly what I was looking for and I plan to take two more trainings with them. Thank you to Guruji Vishnu and the teachers for sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world, whether it’s on site, online, or at our own pace. Namaste.
