I was a bit disappointed that the room wasn’t as clean as I expected. The 24-day stay at Yogmantra was a wonderful experience. I gained a lot of insights, both physically and spiritually, during this time. I especially enjoyed the philosophy and anatomy classes, which helped me take my body to a new level.

The structured schedule was very fulfilling, and it was clear that this stay was more than just a retreat. It was a journey of self-discovery and learning new ways to pass on the knowledge I acquired in my home country.

The morning and evening meditations, whether in the room or by the sea, were particularly touching and gave me deep inner peace. The teachers were extremely respectful and always ready to answer any questions.

The written exam was relaxed, and I am deeply grateful to the teachers for sharing valuable information with us. The second part of the exam involved leading a half-hour Yin Yoga session and a full-hour Yoga class.

A particularly special event was the Chakra healing in Ayurveda. It was especially effective and enriched my stay.

The food was delicious, although it occasionally ran low, resulting in waiting times for new meals to be cooked.

The staff is excellent and very friendly.

I didn’t dislike anything at all… I really enjoyed it! I missed some meat here and there…but I solved that by going out for a nice meal on my day off.

If you’re thinking about doing a 200-hour yoga teacher training…come here! I was sick for a few days at the beginning of the 3 weeks, but I was taken care of so well. Food, medicine, asking how I was feeling. The people at Yoga Mantra are so sweet. They knew everyone’s names within a few days and even missed you at breakfast if you weren’t there.

The room is amazing! Lots of space and cleaned almost every day. I didn’t have any issues with noise myself.

I’m not a vegetarian and I really enjoyed the food…until I started to miss meat slowly. If I wanted, I could order food at the hotel or through Grab. I’ve never eaten so much tofu and tempeh before. Honestly, it was always prepared very well.

The schedule looked intense, but I had so much energy until the end of the day.

The teachers were all fantastic! They’re great at teaching yoga. They love sharing their knowledge and are open to curious questions.

During the training, I developed a hunger for more. I want to learn more about yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, pranayama, meditation, and the asanas. Thanks to a great team of people, I was taken care of so well, along with everyone else there. The teachers are absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable and fun personalities.

I highly recommend Yoga Mantra for anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and yoga!

Doing my 200-hour yoga training at Yogmantra was one of the best decisions of my life. Everything was perfect, from the amazing food to the great staff and the impressive and wise teachers (Nitish, Wayan, Pilya, Sunil, and Sajin), as well as the beautiful accommodation! I had a wonderful three weeks and will recommend it to anyone looking to do an authentic yoga training in Bali. Thank you for this amazing experience!

Since I’m not a vegan person, I struggled a bit with the food situation. But the cafeteria staff always helped me out and were really friendly. The school’s seriousness, the professionalism of the management team and staff, and the teachers’ expertise were all impressive. The mix of hands-on and theory classes was also well organized.

I finished my 200 hours YTT in November 2023 with the group at Yogmantra. I absolutely loved everything about it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic yoga experience. We had a 10-hour class every day from Monday to Saturday, with 6 hours of practical and 4 hours of theory. The staff and teachers were all incredibly friendly and supportive. The group was split into two groups, each with 12 students. This is a great size for a teacher training program. I’ve visited many schools during my time in Bali, and most have around 20 students in one group. That’s why I chose Yogmantra, as they only allow a maximum of 14 students per group. I truly love everything here, from the food to the rooms to the location. I will definitely come back for the 300 hours training.

The exam information should have been clearer earlier. The two groups of 200 hours should have had equal numbers, so that the group of 12 wouldn’t have to attend many more exams than the group of 8. Our bodies were really tired at that point. But we managed to survive! The classes, teachers, facilities, and food were way better than we expected! Thank you for being so accommodating and wonderful.

If the school posted more on social media, it would be easier for students to understand about the school. I completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in November 2023, and it was an absolutely transformative journey. Choosing the right YTT program is crucial, and I feel fortunate to have enrolled in the Yogmantra Bali program.

The curriculum covered everything comprehensively, including anatomy, philosophy, teaching methodology, ashtanga, vinyasa, Hatha, yin yoga, and practical techniques. The teachers at Yogmantra demonstrated a deep understanding of yoga and struck a perfect balance between traditional teachings and modern applications. They exceeded my expectations with the depth of knowledge they imparted. The course was intense, and I felt a change in myself after the first week, which was challenging. But after that, we all loved it and wanted more. The teachers were not only highly qualified but also so passionate about what they do. They created a supportive learning environment, where we were encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions. They were able to tailor their teachings to suit different learning styles, making the complex subject matter accessible and engaging.

One of the best parts about Yogmantra was that the property was exclusively for yoga teacher training students. Before joining, I had visited many other schools where the yoga training was held in resorts with other guests. But at Yogmantra, the staff and teachers were always helpful, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The school’s founder, Miss Praju, was present in the school every day and took the time to talk to all the students. I highly recommend Yogmantra and will definitely be coming back for the 300-hour program. Thank you, Yogmantra, for changing my life.

I absolutely loved everything about the school! However, there was this one man on a retreat by himself towards the end of our exams who seemed a bit lost and lonely, since the rest of us were so focused on studying. I think it would be a good idea for the school to either schedule retreat bookings in groups or have them at the beginning or end of the month when students aren’t around.

But let me tell you, everything else was beyond my expectations! The accommodation was spacious and clean, the food was incredibly diverse and tasty, and the staff truly went above and beyond for us. They made us feel like we were part of their family.

And let me not forget to mention the amazing teachers, Nitin Ji and Sunil Ji. They taught us practical classes, as well as pranayama and meditation. They were such excellent teachers – always patient and understanding, but they also knew how to push us to our limits.

Honestly, those three weeks were the absolute best of my life. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

I had the most incredible time at Yogmantra yoga school. It was absolutely amazing! The staff was so helpful and the location was beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous too. The teachers were wonderful, especially Nitin. He taught the yoga asanas so well and pushed us to achieve more than we thought was possible. I feel blessed to have learned from such a master of yoga. Nitish was also fantastic, with his extensive knowledge on anatomy and yin yoga. He corrected our alignments with care and precision. He was patient, kind, and incredibly intelligent. Wayan, who taught Ayurveda, was a true magician and had the most beautiful energy. And Dr. Raj Mohan was captivating when teaching philosophy of yoga. Each brought a wealth of knowledge to the experience. And let’s not forget the food – it was delicious, varied, and super healthy! The chefs amazed us with what they could do with tofu and tempeh. This retreat truly changed my life. I made friends from all over the world and couldn’t be happier. I absolutely recommend Yogmantra!

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful. I made sure to swim in the pool every day. The food was also delicious with a wide variety of options. Personally, I really enjoyed the curry and banana pancakes.

All the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. I felt like I was part of a family. Even though it was my first time staying alone for a long period, I never felt homesick.

If you’re someone who gets grossed out by used mattresses, I suggest bringing your own mattress cover/protector because the one provided wasn’t new or clean enough for me. The food tasted delicious, but personally, I struggled with the spiciness in most of the meals, which caused stomach pain and bloating. I wish they had a rooftop or a bigger space/shala to accommodate 26 students, so we wouldn’t have to be split into multiple classes. It was kind of sad for my Filipina classmate during her exam because I was the only student in her class. In another class for my Balinese classmate’s exam, there were only three of us. I can understand if others don’t attend everyone’s class because we have a total of eight classes in one day and it’s impossible to do ashtanga eight times.

I just want to give a shoutout to teacher Putra for being so supportive and creating a friendly environment. He would join the class as if he was one of the students. I wish he had been my observer during my exam because the teacher just stared at me the whole time. Not to mention, the teacher was also 20 minutes late and seemed disengaged when he finally arrived. It made me feel a bit nervous and uncomfortable having someone watch and judge my every move, causing me to forget some of my planned poses. I know I’m responsible for my own thoughts and emotions, so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. But in the future, it would be great if students could avoid such negative feelings. As for the positives, the retreat is affordable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, there’s plenty of food, and the teachers, Sunil, Putra, and Wayan, are all great. The founder, Praju, is also very nice.

Hey, I’ve got a small suggestion. If some students are staying in the school without doing the course, maybe we shouldn’t keep them here. No personal issue, just a thought.

First of all, I want to give a big thank you to Yogmantra Bali for giving me an unforgettable journey in my life. If you’re looking for an intense and life-changing yoga teacher training course in Bali, this is the right school. We had 10 hours of class every day, and I initially thought that included breaks, but it didn’t. The breaks were 2 hours and 30 minutes, separate from the 10 hours of contact classes. This structure really helped me improve physically, mentally, and gain more confidence in becoming a yoga teacher. All the teachers were incredibly helpful.

There were 13 students in my group, and there are two studios running courses at the same time in the school. Even with 13 students in each group, we were able to spend time all together. Adjusting to the food was a bit difficult for vegans in the first week, but after that, we got used to it. The management of the school was very helpful. The school founder, Miss Praju, talked to us every day and always considered our suggestions and tried to implement them as soon as possible. Mr. John was also very helpful, from the time of booking until the end of the journey.

I want to give a special thanks to all the staff in the school for helping me with everything. One really great thing I noticed was that the property was exclusively for the yoga teacher training students, which made us all very comfortable.

Also, shout out to BookYogaRetreat for only allowing students who have booked a course to write reviews here. That’s really nice.

Once again, I highly recommend Yogmantra Bali. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. See you soon for the 300-hour course!

I really enjoyed my time there as a personal experience, but I believe there are certain aspects that could be improved. Some of the teachers either lack knowledge or don’t know how to effectively transmit it. They definitely need to work on teaching teachers how to teach. It often felt like a yoga retreat, which was nice, but what surprised me was that people could skip classes and still receive the certificate. I wish the course had a different structure so that there wouldn’t be a whole week with nothing to do and the teachers wouldn’t run out of topics to discuss or explore further.

The staff and most of the teachers were very friendly, but there was one thing that really upset me and seemed disrespectful. The teacher in charge of evaluating classes seemed disconnected from the group, constantly staring out the window or at his phone. On the bright side, the food was delicious and had a good variety. The accommodation was also great. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. I loved having my own room.

As mentioned earlier, the food was good but not mind-blowing. However, everything else was excellent. Our yoga teachers hailed from Rishikesh in India, which assured us that we were receiving instructions in authentic, traditional yoga practices. In addition to that, the theory classes expanded our understanding of philosophy, anatomy, and even delved into Ayurveda. The only aspect that fell slightly short was learning how to teach and the associated techniques, but we did put in effort and each got to teach two classes. Comparing notes with friends who attended other teacher trainings, it seems that this program surpasses the standard courses. The food, as I mentioned before, was good but not outstanding. Now, let me tell you about the amazing location. I had the privilege of being at the black sand beach with just five other students. It was peacefully secluded, which made it the perfect setting for focused learning.

I would advise everyone to manage their expectations carefully before booking. It’s important to think about your personal goals for this experience and do plenty of research. Trust your instincts and don’t let money be the deciding factor. Keep in mind that most of the time, you get what you pay for.

If you’re not a vegan, I would recommend becoming one at least a month before. There will be days when you’ll have tofu for two or possibly three meals. And if you don’t like spicy food, this might not be the best menu for you. It can get repetitive, so if you want more fruit, you should plan to buy your own. Also, be aware that they charge double for oat milk or soy milk.

I was surprised and a bit disappointed by the extra costs, especially considering the overall cost of the course. If you expect an honest response and a resolution to any issues you may have, this may not be the ideal place for you. And if you take everything on an organization’s website at face value, you might not enjoy it here either.

Additionally, if you’re over 25 and looking for a spiritual and inclusive experience, this might not be the right place for you. However, it’s possible that my perspective influenced my experience. No matter what happens, if you feel uncomfortable or unhappy, it’s ultimately your responsibility and depends on how you perceive things.

After reading my review, you can take it or leave it. This was my personal experience, and I honestly believe it could have been better. The teachers were knowledgeable, informative, and genuine. They were always willing to answer questions, and my yoga practice improved significantly. I can’t wait to teach my first class. You’ll realize how strong and capable you are, and if you remain open-minded, you’ll discover there’s much more to yoga than just the physical aspect.

Thanks to all the teachers, I now have a new perspective that will stay with me forever. If you’re friendly and comfortable around others, you’ll make friends and have a life-changing experience.

I had trouble with booking yoga retreats through Bookyogaretreats or Yoga Mantra. They either didn’t pass on my information or ignored my involvement. Finally, just 5 days before the YTT started, Bookyogaretreats managed to connect me with Yoga Mantra after many requests for information. They informed me that the YTT dates had changed, causing me to miss a day of training. The communication between the two organizations definitely needs improvement. That part was really unprofessional. On the bright side, the vegan food was amazing, the instructors were knowledgeable, the location was breathtaking, and my classmates were incredible. However, they were able to adjust to it and the rest of us had a great experience. I am very thankful to Yogmantra Bali for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of doing YTT. Other places had high prices which I couldn’t afford, but Yogmantra made it possible for yogis like me. I highly recommend this school for those who want to deepen their knowledge about yoga and all kinds of asanas. The teachers, Sachin, Putra, and Ranny, were very knowledgeable and helpful. I cannot forget to mention the school founder, Miss Praju, who was always there for the students and fulfilled even the smallest requests. For future students, I suggest preparing your mind for a transformation because the course is intense. The first 2 or 3 days may be a little tough, but later on, we all enjoyed the classes, the rooms, and the property – everything was up to the mark, just like in the pictures. The advantage of having only 13 students in one group is that we all received proper attention. Once again, thank you Yogmantra.

There are a lot of ants in the room and there are no hairdryers, toothbrushes, or toothpaste… If any Korean people are searching, I think you should take a look. I am very satisfied after a total of 200 hours of training over 3 weeks. Firstly, the facilities are very clean and the yoga room is also tidy… You can even see the ocean outside. The fact that all meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are vegan satisfies me. There are classes from Monday to Saturday, and no classes on Sundays. (However, there may be exceptions according to the situation). The classes start from 6:30 in the morning and go until 7 in the evening. I actually found it convenient that there weren’t many students, including myself. Only 6 of us took the classes and it seems that this place isn’t as popular in terms of location. It seems like there are about 10 students on average. For those who want to do yoga teacher training in Bali and want to see a jungle or ocean view, but also want a comfortable place or don’t like bugs, I recommend you to give it a try. The location is near the zoo, so if you take a taxi, it will take around 40 minutes, I think. On the last day, while receiving the completion certificate, they also provided a 1-night tour at a hotel lobby. I did a dolphin tour and swam with dolphins in the ocean. They also provided free accommodation and meals at the yoga center. There are a total of 3 yoga teachers (2 Indian and 1 Balinese). The Indian teacher named Sachin is excellent. The classes are all conducted in English, but they are easier than I expected, and for the final test, we have to create a one-hour teaching for each specific field (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Prenatal) and teach the students. There is also a written exam on yoga philosophy with about 10 questions. If you want, they can change the food for you every time. The owner here is an Indian woman and she is very kind and nice. If you have any inconvenience or need something, you can send a message on WhatsApp and she will solve it all. There is a water purifier on the first floor, so you just need to bring a water bottle. They also provide pens and notebooks. If any Korean people see this, I highly recommend it.

Just keep this in mind if you’re considering this review for potential students: YTT is all about deepening your knowledge and skills, and this class definitely delivers. When it comes to choosing a YTT course, the overall experience plays a big role. So, to be fair, I’ll mention that our class did discuss food variety. However, personally, I’ve never been able to stick to a vegetarian diet for more than 24 hours. But honestly, that’s something you’ll find in any other yoga YTT review out there.

Now, let’s talk about this location. The facility is right by a busy road, so there’s always traffic noise during the day. But don’t worry, you do get used to it.

When it came to YTT, I tried my best not to have any preconceived notions based on reviews or my own yoga journey. But I have to say, I was blown away by the instruction, applied skills, and knowledge from all of my Yogmantra instructors. They challenged me every single day, and by the end of the day, I was physically drained. But despite that, I felt excited for the next day and energized in the morning. Our student group had such a diverse range of knowledge, from very experienced yogis to complete beginners. Yet, the teaching was inclusive and fair. This is where Yogmantra truly shines, and it should be the main reason for choosing this school.

The facilities themselves were comfortable, clean, and safe. The hotel staff who supported us were incredibly friendly and always ready to help.

The value of what I learned, the friendships I made, and my overall experience far surpassed the cost. If I ever return to Bali to further advance my studies, I would definitely consider this same school.

I loved my experience at Yogmantra Bali in November 2021! I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to do my yoga teacher training here. The instruction was absolutely amazing – they really nailed it. The group size was perfect with 13 people, giving us the chance to meet and socialize, while still receiving individual attention. Honestly, for the price I paid, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you so much, Yogmantra Bali! The only things I would mention are that the school is next to a busy road, and I personally would have preferred a quieter location. Also, some people in my group complained that the food got a bit repetitive and wasn’t the best, but overall I enjoyed it.

I had the most amazing yoga school experience! Finishing the 200 hour program made me feel incredibly confident to start teaching not only Yoga, but also the profound lessons about the mind, body, and soul. They made it clear beforehand that the school had 5-star quality, and once I joined, I understood why. The teachers were exceptionally professional and experienced. What made it even better was the fact that it wasn’t just a regular hotel, but a place made specifically for yoga teacher training.

I loved it! The teachers and the place were amazing! The first week was really tough, but then my body got used to it… Just like everyone says. But it’s so true… The food doesn’t taste great after a week, you get tired of having the same thing all the time, but the rest is really fantastic!

I really loved connecting with each teacher at Yogmantra. They were all unique and special in their own way. I feel honored to have learned from them and hear their expertise and perspectives. Teachers Ajna, Putra, Azmi, Owen, Flo and Lloydie were all amazing, and I’m grateful to Yogmantra for giving me the opportunity to meet and learn from them.

Thanks to Yogmantra, I now have a solid foundation and understanding of different yoga styles. I’m extremely grateful for this experience.

I also want to mention that I signed up for the course when Indonesia only allowed business visas. Without the help of the coordinators at Yogmantra, I don’t think I would have been able to go. They put in so much time, energy, and effort into helping me with all the research and paperwork, making my travel experience smooth and easy.

In a casual conversation, the teachers not only shared their knowledge on various Yoga styles like Astanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Pre- & Post Natal Yoga but also gave us insights into their own life experiences.

Bali putting us on lockdown ended up helping me stay more focused, so it wasn’t actually a bad thing! My experience at Yogmantra was absolutely fantastic. The instructors were so knowledgeable and kind, catering to all levels of students. We covered a wide range of yoga styles, from vinyasa to yin, Hatha to prenatal and postnatal, yang to anatomy, pranayama to chakras, meditation to Kundalini… I feel like I truly grasp yoga now. The teachers explained things in a way that just made everything make sense. Azmi, Putra, and Ajna are truly incredible! The food was delicious and the hotel had an amazing view and a lovely pool. Anthony and Praju were also really helpful in setting up PCR tests and transportation. I would highly recommend Yogmantra to anyone.

Yogmantra school exceeded my expectations! I learned a ton about anatomy, philosophy, and therapy of yoga. The yoga teachers – Ajna, Putra and Asmi – were amazing. They were not only friendly and supportive, but also knowledgeable in a wide range of yoga styles including hatha, ashtanga, alignment, pranayamas, kryias, vinyasa flow, and yin yoga. The meals provided were both healthy and delicious. The staff at this yoga school were caring and I felt a deep sense of love for the entire experience. I cannot recommend Yogmantra school enough!

The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to share their expertise. They are patient, attentive, and eager to answer any questions you may have. Their dedication and enthusiasm make a difference, especially during such an intense course.

The team is super professional and readily available to assist you at any time. They make sure to take care of your needs, leaving you feeling supported throughout the entire experience.

The location is fantastic, with spacious and comfortable rooms that are meticulously cleaned every day. It’s such a relief to come back to a tidy room after a long, exhausting day. I really enjoyed my experience at the training program. The food could use a bit of improvement in terms of variety, but overall, it was good. The owners were always there to help me whenever I had any doubts or needs, and they always responded quickly through WhatsApp. From the moment I arrived at the airport, everything was taken care of. They were always on time to pick me up, even for the PCR tests and the quarantine hotel. Speaking of which, the accommodation was much better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, like staying at a 5-star hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a beautiful view of the sunrise.
The training itself was intense, but after attending so many yoga classes, I felt great. Each class was important in helping us grow physically and mentally, and to gain confidence as a teacher. The teachers were amazing, especially considering how young they were. They were all humble, caring, and had a wealth of knowledge to share. Azmi, Ajna, Putra, and even Sara (who helped Azmi) were all very nice, supportive, and inspiring. Sara provided invaluable tips throughout the program. Overall, I’m grateful for this wonderful experience, surrounded by good-hearted individuals in a beautiful place with positive energy.

Yogmantra made it possible for me to gain precious skills and experience during my TTC in April 2020, even during strict Covid times. I am incredibly grateful. The program was immersive, transformational, and authentic. I was impressed by the high-quality teaching and the strong personal connection between the teachers and students. It’s an intense and comprehensive program that I would highly recommend to both experienced practitioners and beginners. When I left, it felt like leaving home. Thank you.

I am incredibly grateful to all the teachers and team at Yogmantra for providing a life-changing experience. Yoga has been my support for 14 years of chronic illness, but after two life-threatening surgeries, I knew it was time to take the next step. Yogmantra allowed me to do just that, and it was a pivotal moment in starting my new life. The teaching was absolutely amazing, with the teachers’ passion and knowledge going above and beyond. They also adapted to all students’ needs fantastically. The course covered not only the physical practice, but also the spiritual and healing aspects, as well as knowledge of anatomy and Ayurveda. It truly provided more than any other 200-hour course.

The teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and the support team, Praju and Anthony, made me feel like family. They were always ready to help, no matter how small my question or concern was.

The accommodations provided were stunning, and the weekend trips were fantastic. Everything outside of the training itself was incredible.

The entire experience was exceptional, exceeding all expectations. I cannot express my gratitude enough. This training has truly supported me on my healing journey and has been instrumental in starting my new life. From having a 4% chance of surviving last year to thriving in Bali, I am filled with immense gratitude. I can’t wait to return to my new family in Bali!
