December 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t have high expectations because their Instagram didn’t provide much information, but I had an incredible and authentic experience. Our group consisted of 8 people and we bonded over time. I felt completely at ease with the teachers, staff, and the whole group. The food was absolutely delicious, mainly Indonesian cuisine with rice, tofu or tempeh, and veggies in various versions. It satisfied my taste buds! Along with the physical experience, the spiritual aspect was also amazing, even though it was something new to me. Learning Hatha from Via was incredible. She teaches you to find inner calmness and speak just enough in your own teaching without overwhelming others. It made a huge difference for me! Not only Via, but all the other teachers were also exceptional and eager to share their yoga wisdom. If you’re seeking an authentic place with people who truly embrace yoga, I highly recommend it.

November 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely didn’t like how Aeral Yoga was taught. It was lacking in every aspect. After just 2 lessons, without even explaining how the class was structured, we were told to create our own class. Out of the 5 meetings, 3 were where we taught our classmates… I really didn’t learn much. I really liked the teaching method of teacher Obi because you can tell that they put their heart and soul into it.

August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amThe place where we practiced Yoga and used props was really unhygienic. All of us who attended the Yin yoga session had a horrible experience. We even had to attend classes in nearby studios despite paying for the course. The lead instructor mentioned in the certificate was not present. The food was okay, following the satvik principles.
Helpful ReviewAlexis Mcduffee
August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amThe yoga props provided here were of poor quality and not clean. The mats and blocks at this studio were the dirtiest and lowest quality I have ever seen. That’s why I brought my own mat to avoid using theirs.
Most teachers here don’t actually prepare you to be a yoga instructor. They mainly just watch you do flows and rarely help with alignment or give feedback during or after class.
The accommodation wasn’t great. The sheets and towels were stained and dirty. I didn’t have hot water in the shower and the toilet was broken during my first 100 hours. When they finally came to fix the toilet, they also put a random board on the ceiling to cover water damage from above. For the second 100 hours, I switched rooms and had a better bathroom situation. However, you have to ask to have your room cleaned and sheets and towels changed.
But there were some amazing teachers here. Azmi and Yansha were some of the best teachers I’ve ever learned from. They were so passionate and brought great energy every day. They made sure we were ready to be yoga teachers and cared about us truly understanding the difference between just practicing and actually learning and growing from this experience. I also really loved Obi and Veny, although their classes were more focused on us learning as students rather than future teachers.
The food here was really good though. But if you’re doing the full 200 hours instead of just 100, the menu gets repetitive. Also, breakfast could use a higher protein option considering how much movement we do each day.
In the end, I enjoyed my time here because of what I learned about myself, the people I met, and the wonderful energy from the teachers who genuinely wanted to be there to teach us.

May 20, 2023 at 12:00 amI was very disappointed with the hiring of a yoga teacher. During the exam, she sat in the corner and just played with her phone or looked bored… but the food was great and the location was also very convenient.

April 26, 2023 at 12:00 amI had an amazing time in Aayaa yoga teacher training in Bali. I absolutely loved practicing yoga and meditation outdoors amidst the beautiful green surroundings with the birds and lizards singing, especially in the morning. And after that, indulging in delicious tropical fruits for breakfast was just perfect.
The teachers were not only knowledgeable but also a lot of fun to be around. They genuinely wanted us to understand and learn yoga and meditation from within. It was exactly what I needed to take a break from all the stress and learn to meditate.
What made it even better was getting to meet new people who were also into healthy lifestyles. And the food, nature, weather, sun, and massages – everything was simply amazing!
Overall, I had a fantastic time and learned more than I had anticipated. Thank you so much to all the teachers and the Aayaa crew for everything. I’ll definitely be back for more!

February 26, 2023 at 12:00 amThe room was pretty basic, but it met my needs. The meals could use more protein since there were times when they lacked it. The teachers were absolutely fantastic! Their experience was evident from the get-go. I learned far beyond my expectations during the 200-hour course. My overall experience here was incredible. The people I met during the course were amazing, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and while the room was basic, it served its purpose. I wholeheartedly recommend this school!

December 27, 2022 at 12:00 amI found the meditation classes to be a bit weird. The teacher kept insisting that his guru had turned a man into a stone and even delayed a plane until his friend got on it. He also claimed to have the power to control the rain and said that mastering certain meditation techniques could bring your pet back from the dead, citing an example of his friend who supposedly achieved it. Honestly, I felt these comments were entirely out of place for a meditation class and they completely disconnected me from the experience. They were brought up repeatedly and presented in a persuasive manner, which made it even more unsettling.
On the bright side, everything else about the environment was really good. The place itself was nice and the yoga sala, where we practiced, was also very pleasant. I felt comfortable in my bedroom as well. Most of the other teachers, like the asthanga, vinyasa, hatha, yin, and aerial yoga instructors, were really excellent. I particularly enjoyed the pranayama classes too. They were nice and refreshing.

December 3, 2022 at 12:00 amThe hotel staff was very nice, but I found it difficult to keep my space clean. They didn’t provide any toiletries, not even hand soap in the bathroom. On top of that, they only gave one towel, which was personally challenging for me. However, please don’t let this discourage you. The course is definitely worth the value. I had such a great time during the course! It was physically challenging at times, but just the right amount. The staff was absolutely lovely and fantastic. The course went into great detail and I learned way more than I expected. The food was amazing too! I genuinely felt a transformation and I’m really excited to continue my yoga journey.

August 5, 2022 at 12:00 amI couldn’t have imagined it being any better! The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing everything that’s inside of them. Via, in particular, is like a flower, teaching me how to breathe in a way that I’ll never forget. And Shanti, well, she’s a very special person who really knows her stuff in Philosophy class and beyond.
I’m grateful for every meditation class with Hari. He’s a living example of what he preaches. And Jaggy, all the way from India, gives us precious teachings on Ayurveda and Yoga Philosophy. And let’s not forget precious Ida, who leads us in singing the Sun Salutation.
The place we’re staying in is just perfect. The rice fields and natural paths around it help you breathe properly while enjoying the most incredible colors. And the food, oh my goodness, it’s not only delicious but also really healthy. And it’s served with the biggest smile!
I definitely gained so much from this experience. My coconut is filled with more than I could have ever expected. What I loved the most is that they really stick to the traditional principles of yoga. It’s becoming rare to find a non ‘Westernized’ experience of this Eastern art of living, especially in Bali. Your body will definitely thank you for it.

March 29, 2020 at 12:00 amOur teachers Via, Shanti, Ida, and Igor were very warm and open-minded people. They guided us very well and pushed us to our limits. The training woke me up and made me reconsider a lot of things. My own practice now looks much more mindful. It’s no longer about being faster, higher, and further, but about what is good for me and how can I incorporate this thinking into my teaching. Thank you to these wonderful people!

March 29, 2020 at 12:00 amAlthough the dining and teaching/practice areas and our rooms were relatively clean, the overall cleanliness standards of the complex could be improved. I want to express my gratitude to all the teachers – Via, Igor, Shanti, and Ida – for sharing their knowledge and skills with such openness, patience, and love. They provided us with the best resources for learning, and it was our responsibility as students to make the most of them. I really appreciate how the course finds a good balance between the spiritual aspects of yoga and the physical practice of asanas. Thanks to the inspiring teachers, I truly understood the infinite possibilities that yoga, as a science you actively practice, offers. I must also mention that the food was incredibly delicious! I also want to thank the staff, especially Hari, who was always there to assist whenever we needed help.

March 22, 2020 at 12:00 amWhen we arrived, we noticed the warning signs. They sent me on a scooter to a jewellery store to get cash for my course fee. The opening ceremony only lasted 15 minutes and none of our instructors showed up. Instead, we spent most of the time filling out forms.
I only attended day one of the classes and it was clear that everything was disorganized. The teachers were not the ones advertised on their website and they didn’t even present their credentials. The yin yoga teacher seemed inexperienced and uninterested. The philosophy and anatomy classes were just a continuation of the previous aerial course, so we were totally lost. On top of that, the delivery of these classes was very poor.
I immediately reached out to Aayaa yoga after day one and even sent a second email detailing my concerns about the course. I was hoping that maybe they weren’t aware of how poorly their school in Rishikesh was being run. However, I haven’t received any response from them yet.
If you’re serious about learning yin yoga, I strongly advise staying away from this school. The food was alright, and the building manager was nice and apologetic about the situation.

It didn’t feel like a retreat.. it felt more like a hostel with some yoga classes.. and the Shalas are very basic.. they didn’t have a spiritual feel to them.. and the floor was dirty.. the whole place needs a little more love and dedication. February 10, 2020 at 12:00 amI really didn’t dislike it, but personally, as a non vegetarian, I thought there was too much rice, veggies, tofu, and tempeh. The taste was amazing, but it made my stomach bloated, so I decided to switch to just having soups. Let me tell you, the soups were absolutely delicious!
The best meal was definitely breakfast – they had fruit, pancakes, and fried bananas – it was like heaven! I wish I could have stayed there longer, or maybe even moved there!
In my opinion, learning from real eastern culture is a completely different experience. It’s something indescribable that can really open your heart and make you put your ego aside. It’s the best thing that could happen to people from the western world!
The teachers are all unique in their own way, and when they come together, the energy in the room is so loving and beautiful. They’ll make you laugh so hard, but they also take their job seriously. They’ll teach you, heal you, and pass their knowledge onto you. They genuinely care and are always happy to help.
The multistyle yoga was perfect for me because I was able to find the style that suited me the most and the one I enjoyed teaching the most.
For me, Bali is the most beautiful country with the most beautiful people.
They have a swimming pool and the rooms are spacious with a stunning view where you can watch the sunset. The best part is that there are restaurants, bars, shops, and spas all within walking distance. Plus, it’s close to the Monkey Forest.

January 31, 2020 at 12:00 amI enrolled in a one-week aerial yoga course at Aayaa Yoga, but it turned out I ended up staying for a whole month! As soon as I arrived at the school, I felt right at home and welcomed. Pabi, the manager, was incredibly kind and helped me settle in quickly. She made sure I was comfortable with everything. On the first evening, all the students gathered for a welcome ceremony and we instantly hit it off.
The classes started the next day and I absolutely fell in love with aerial yoga. Our amazing teacher, Konty, made the experience even better. I decided right then and there that I wanted to extend my stay and complete the 200-hour ttc. Once again, Pabi and the management team went above and beyond to accommodate my last-minute request.
Apart from aerial yoga, I also enjoyed the other classes like Vinyasa and Yin, all taught by Konty. These classes were designed for everyone, from beginners to advanced students. The Philosophy class taught by Vishu was truly eye-opening. He is an excellent teacher. Dwayne’s Anatomy class was detailed and insightful as well. He is also a wonderful teacher!
I am incredibly grateful for this experience, the amazing people, the valuable skills I’ve learned, and most importantly, the family we formed together! Thank you for everything!

January 30, 2020 at 12:00 amIf you’re looking for a relaxing and chill retreat, this place probably isn’t the right fit for you. You’ll be learning about yoga alongside TTC students, so it’s not just going to classes.
Helpful ReviewWe moved to a different accommodation, which was actually worse than the first one. But Aayaa made an effort to make up for the inconveniences, such as providing extra blankets and heaters, and getting electricians to fix the hot water problem. Whenever you have a problem, they’ll help you solve it.
Classes always start late, which can be great if you struggle to wake up in the morning, but annoying if you’re punctual.
Before applying, make sure to ask for all the information beforehand through messages. The information on bookyogaretreats can be a bit misleading about what they offer and what’s included.
The place is a bit farther from Laxman Jhula and the city vibe, but it’s still within walking distance, so it’s not a big problem. Considering the amount of money you’re spending, don’t expect luxury service or complete pampering. But overall, it’s an okay experience.
Before signing up, I had considered TTC, so being together with the students was great for me to get insight into what it’s like.
I even got a complimentary rafting experience, which was a lot of fun.
The Ashtanga class teacher is amazing!
You can join all the classes that the students are attending, so it’s a great opportunity to learn more about yoga, postures, philosophy, and more.
The food was really tasty and enjoyable.

December 29, 2019 at 12:00 amAlthough everyone tried to accommodate us as much as they could, there were times when they couldn’t provide for our restricted diet. I understand that it’s difficult to accommodate, and I appreciate their effort to do what they could. This retreat exceeded our expectations. Our teachers, Manish and Kounty, were absolutely incredible. They are highly skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable. Not only that, but they are also flexible, have a great sense of humor, and are adaptable.
Manish guided us through the complexities of the spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga, patiently answering all of our questions. Kounty amazed us with his teaching style, physical agility, and ability to integrate yoga with dance, gymnastics, and fitness. All of this, with a beautiful smile, an amazing spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor. They also tailored their training to accommodate our diverse class, including our family members of various ages and abilities. We are truly speechless and forever grateful to them.
The operational manager, Pabitra, and the business owner, Manish, took great care of us and accommodated our requests. Our two chefs cooked delicious and wholesome meals, serving them with their calm and laidback manner. Our accommodation was a charming house, with the owner living next door and the beach just a short distance away. There were also many quaint restaurants and shops in the vicinity. The house owners were very prompt in responding to us and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are incredibly grateful for everyone coming together to take us on this short yoga journey. From our family to all of you, a heartfelt thank you and namaste!

November 11, 2019 at 12:00 amThe marketing of this place is a total lie, and it makes me feel awful writing all of this because the teachers were nice. But I truly believe it’s manipulative and dishonest coming from the Marketing/Indian owner.
The teachers were definitely not what they were advertised to be.
The accommodation was dirty and unsanitary. The pillow had mold on it, the first towel smelled like a dog. And don’t even get me started on the shower pressure – sometimes it just didn’t work if someone else was showering at the same time. The drains in the shower and sink were almost completely blocked. And when we addressed the issue, their solution was to unscrew the pipes and put a bucket under the sink. They never once cleaned the pool, so it was yellow when we left.
The food was hit or miss. Sometimes it was good, but it was definitely not the Ayurvedic experience they advertised. It was low budget and often full of sugar. And having tofu/tempeh twice a day made all of us bloated and caused stomach pain.
The yoga philosophy was extremely difficult to follow. Honestly, you would learn more from a book or video. And they didn’t even provide the full 200 hours they promised. It was more like 150 hours.
Half of the yoga classes were basically the same as going to a regular class. And we never received any adjustments or corrections.
We had to ask multiple times before they would even consider giving us an Ayurveda class. And even then, all we got was a video. It’s pretty ridiculous.
And there was no flower or fruit composition for any kind of ceremony, despite what they claimed on their website.
Despite all of this, I am grateful that the course was in Ubud, a powerful and spiritual place. The teachers were nice and knowledgeable, so thank you to them. I had a fun time and enjoyed my stay here. However, I wouldn’t say that all of us are ready to become teachers after this. It’s more like a good course to continue or start a spiritual journey for yourself. You’ll learn the basics of spirituality and yoga/Hindu philosophy, and get to practice yoga every day. But it feels more like a yoga retreat than a yoga teacher training course.

October 13, 2019 at 12:00 amThe management was poor. They didn’t give us the same things as described in the orientation info pack. For example, they didn’t provide a neti pot, didn’t do any assessments, didn’t give us information on water purification at the waterfall, and skipped the acro yoga class.
But they said they can arrange more time for adjustments and teaching practices.
As for the accommodation, the view is beautiful. However, the swimming pool is tiny and the toilet smells bad. The rooms are old and the bed linens are dirty. On the bright side, the staff is friendly and the teachers are amazing and inspiring. The philosophy, meditation, and asana classes are great. The food is delicious and the location is conveniently close to main areas. They also offer a pick-up service. And there’s plenty of free time, although the course itself is tight and intense.

October 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t enjoy the yin yoga classes because they didn’t meet my expectations in terms of quality. The teacher seemed unprepared and disinterested in the subject. The schedule mainly focused on asanas, without any philosophy or theory lessons. I believe there is a lot more to explore and learn about yin yoga, so it’s important to have better prepared lessons that go beyond just practice. On the bright side, I did appreciate the management and the well-maintained rooms. The showers had warm water and there was wifi available. I also enjoyed the Ashtanga yoga teacher and their extensive knowledge. Rishikesh was a great place as well.

September 26, 2019 at 12:00 amI really wish we had more time to meditate and learn about Ayurveda, but you can only learn so much in 200 hours. Overall, it was a great experience! I’m so happy I did this ttc. I met amazing people and the teachers were fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Oh, and the food was delicious too!

September 20, 2019 at 12:00 amThe accommodation was not very clean, but considering the cost of the course, it was still a good value. If you’re expecting a 5-star hotel, this isn’t the place for you. Personally, I didn’t have high expectations given the affordable price compared to other 200 hours YTTC in Ubud. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The instructors, especially Via and Shanti, were extremely competent and helpful in every way. I couldn’t have asked for more. I definitely recommend this place. I want to thank you for such a unique experience!

September 11, 2019 at 12:00 amI had the most amazing experience at aayaa yoga school, where I did my first ever yoga teacher training. It was the perfect place for me to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge about yoga and everything connected to it. The school taught four different styles, allowing me to learn various approaches in yoga and adapt my classes accordingly.
The accommodation at the school was nice and the staff were incredibly friendly. They also made sure to cater to my gluten-free eating preference, which was greatly appreciated. Despite being close to Ubud, the school is surrounded by beautiful rice fields, giving it a natural and serene atmosphere.
The teachers at aayaa yoga school were truly remarkable. They shared their experiences and wisdom with so much passion and dedication. I highly recommend this school to anyone starting their yoga journey, as it was the perfect beginning for me.
Best wishes,

September 6, 2019 at 12:00 amThe wifi consistently gave me problems and wasn’t working, which was quite frustrating. There were times when I had to go to the cafe down the road just to study or download a movie for some downtime in my room. And if I wanted to call my family back home, it was even worse. But thankfully, this is something that can be fixed, so it doesn’t really matter in the long run 🙂
I had really high expectations about the retreat, but I must say, it totally exceeded them! I learned the true meaning of yoga and realized that it’s not all about poses and asanas (although I did put in a lot of hard work in that department!). The philosophy and meditation classes were my favorite because they provided me with life-changing knowledge and perspective on life. I feel so much calmer in my mind and soul now, and I even noticed a massive difference in my body after just three weeks!
As a beginner, I found the course to be quite intense, but I believe you get what you pay for. I’m proud to say that I am now confident in my own self-practice and ready to share my newfound knowledge as a certified yoga teacher 🙂 I’m truly grateful for all the teachers who supported me along the way. They were all incredibly patient, happy, knowledgeable, and caring. They even organized a day trip to the waterfalls, which was pretty cool of them.
And I can’t not mention the food because it was absolutely delicious! I looked forward to breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, and I couldn’t get enough of it! I highly recommend coming here because for the value for money, you get more than you bargained for. Thank you to everyone at Aayaa yoga!

August 26, 2019 at 12:00 amIn my opinion, the facilities should have been a lot cleaner. The room/bathroom and yogamats were not up to par. The food should have been more varied instead of just white rice for all three meals. I had informed the hostel that I would be arriving in the middle of the night, but the room was not prepared. As a result, I had to go without toilet paper, towels, and soap. It was not a pleasant experience after traveling for over 24 hours to get there. However, the program did provide good value for money. The teachers were competent, and the food, location, and accommodation were somewhat what I expected.

August 3, 2019 at 12:00 amI had only a couple of days in Ubud and I wanted to do some yoga. I found some nearby yoga classes, but I was looking for more of a retreat-style experience to fully immerse myself.
Luckily, Manish, the person in charge, was extremely responsive and accommodating. He helped me join a yoga teacher training course where I could not only attend asana classes but also learn about yoga philosophy and teachings. The teachers there were amazing and had a wealth of knowledge. Plus, everyone at the course was really friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them about topics outside of yoga.
What I liked about this course was its intimate and small group setting. As a new teacher training course, it’s still in development, but that didn’t stop me from having a fantastic experience.

August 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI had an amazing experience at this yoga retreat in Ubud! The accommodation was fantastic, my room was really comfortable and the location was perfect. One of the best things about the yoga hall was that it was open and you could feel the nature around you all the time. It didn’t take long for it to feel like home, and that was not only because of the accommodation. The people I met there were awesome! We had so much fun together and had deep conversations too. The teachers were all super nice, authentic, and supportive. They were always there to help whenever you needed it. During the yoga practice, we learned so much from these amazing teachers, and it was also a lot of fun. They were always sympathetic and helpful, and they explained things twice if necessary. One thing I really liked about this training was how it connected the physical practice with mental knowledge. It’s so important to understand your body and yoga as a science, especially if you want to become a teacher. We also got to learn different yoga styles, which was great because we could try them out and see which ones we liked the most. The teaching style was professional yet relaxed, so it made us feel comfortable all the time. We all became friends and the vibes were always positive. I enjoyed every moment of it. I highly recommend this yoga teacher training! I’m so glad I chose this school because I got to meet amazing people and learn so much about myself. And a huge thank you to Via, Shani, Jagjeet, and my class for being so amazing. I already miss all of you! Sending lots of love <3

July 17, 2019 at 12:00 amDuring my training, we were not lucky. There were construction works right in front of the hotel. So, the noise was sometimes unpleasant, but it won’t be the case for the next trainings.
Helpful ReviewWe lack dessert for meals. The training being multi-style is a good thing. It allows us to discover yoga styles that we haven’t practiced before. This makes the training more diverse.
The location in Ubud is quiet but close to the center. It’s perfect for relaxing with a massage, having an ice cream, or going to the market.
The food is very good and the staff is very kind.

June 21, 2019 at 12:00 amI suggest diversifying the food a bit more since I have a sensitive stomach. The Aerial YTT that I participated in was well-prepared and covered all the crucial aspects needed to practice aerial yoga safely and teach it without accidents or injuries. The instructor for aerial was highly experienced and structured the course wonderfully. We even got the opportunity to teach a full hour-long class! The classroom with aerials was available 24/7, so we could practice and prepare during our breaks. Manish, who organized the training, was very professional and responsive. He made sure we felt welcomed and comfortable by sending us forms to gather our medical history and food preferences. When I arrived at the retreat, Parvitra gave me such a warm welcome. She made sure every student felt like part of the family, going above and beyond to organize additional activities upon request, such as massages, water rafting, and even sessions with a tattoo artist. If students had any requests, both Manish and Parvitra would do their best to accommodate them, whether it was adjusting the schedule or organizing extra classes. The place itself was clean, air-conditioned, and had a good WiFi connection. Overall, it was definitely worth the money.

June 8, 2019 at 12:00 amI joined a group who were doing their teacher training for the retreat. We had yoga in the morning and evening, along with some other activities. However, there was plenty of free time during the middle of the day. Unfortunately, the high temperatures made it impossible to do anything outside at that time. The yoga sessions were informative and functional, but lacked spiritual guidance. It felt more like a hotel holiday with some yoga added in. The yoga studios didn’t have a spiritual ambiance – no music, scent, or dim lighting. You could arrive on any day you wanted. The rooms were comfortable and had air conditioning. Pabrita was always available to provide help and information. She’s friendly and will go out of her way to ensure you have a great experience. The massage was wonderful and rafting was a fun activity. The food was good, but if someone in the group didn’t like spice, we all had to eat bland food, which was disappointing in India. However, we did get to experience a fantastic fire ceremony one evening as a group. Overall, it’s definitely worth the money.

May 27, 2019 at 12:00 amThe trainings are still new, but they addressed anything I found unsatisfactory as soon as I brought it to their attention. I really enjoyed this training. The location of the retreat was great, and the teachers were knowledgeable and experienced. They had so much to offer. The alignment teacher was amazing, and I learned a lot from him. I thought all the things he taught would be useful for my future as a yoga teacher. The Ashtanga teacher was tough but knowledgeable. He did some great adjustments and helped me go deeper into the asanas. The Philosophy teacher was nice and knowledgeable too. Even though he didn’t have to, he helped us with any problems we had and took the time to communicate with us privately about the content and any other issues. The food was amazing. They really fed us well! I can’t forget the delicious mushrooms and spinach soy bean milk cream sauce! The staff was nice and remembered my favorite drink, always having it ready after the meal. Our Manager Pabitra was simply incredible! I can’t express enough how impressed I am with her. It must have been so difficult to manage the food for everyone every day, considering we all came from different parts of the world with different tastes and appetites. She even spent her holiday helping us and organizing activities for us! A special thanks to her for holding my hand during the hike. I really thought I would fall without her help.

May 11, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t love the way things were organized. It was slightly unclear, like the instructors were surprised to see me when I showed up on my scheduled date with the others doing their teacher training, and I was on a separate schedule.
The facility was kind of hard to find since the name aayaayoga isn’t actually listed on maps. The payment was also hard to make since they didn’t accept cards at the location, but other than that, everything was fine! The people at this retreat were so accommodating, from the amazing manager Pabi to the kitchen workers. The facilities were great and I absolutely loved the food! They even fulfilled my extra tea and special pancake requests 🙂
The yoga instructors were really informative. The morning hatha session was a great way to wake up, and the meditation sessions in the evening were so relaxing. The ashtanga class was challenging in a good way, and Neeraj really helped improve my form, allowing me to get much deeper into poses.
I also had a blast rafting, and I had the best massage I’ve had in the past six months in Asia!!

April 23, 2019 at 12:00 amThe retreat takes place in a regular hotel where non-Yoga guests are present. They don’t respect our much-needed rest time. Unfortunately, the common area is just a living room, so we don’t have any outdoor spaces to unwind. Honestly, this isn’t the ideal location for a yoga retreat or teacher training. I doubt I’ll be able to endure a whole month in such circumstances.

April 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t dislike it, but it was a bit unexpected. I wasn’t officially part of a retreat group. Instead, I joined classes with others who were doing their yoga teacher training and who had already been there for a week. But that was totally fine with me, just something to keep in mind!
From the moment I walked in, they treated me incredibly well. Everyone was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed.
