February 15, 2024 at 12:00 amI stayed at an accommodation that could have been a bit cleaner and was located on a busy street, so it was a bit loud. I also faced some small language barriers but overall it was great value for money and I would definitely return! Our main teachers Caroline and Koko are humble, patient, and kind people with a lot of knowledge. We started with basics like sun salutations and main poses and then moved on to the good alignment of yoga poses. We also delved into the history and philosophy of yoga. Be prepared for more physical movements in your first week!
We got to experience Arial yoga with teacher Ida and Restorative Yoga with teacher Lisa, which was a big plus for me. The school provided us with two printed books and delicious vegetarian food and fruit juices. The yoga studio was always clean and the view of the pool and jungle was incredible!
We were also given transportation to Ubud center twice a week and even had a one-day trip to visit attractions around Ubud. It was a nice break from our yoga studies. Thank you for this amazing experience, I’m so glad I chose Kapha Yoga School.

February 7, 2024 at 12:00 amComplaining is at a whole new level with every good thing having its downsides – that’s just life. But hey, after a tough first week, the second one is a bit more chill. You’ll be gearing up for exams by then and can catch up on movement.
For me, Arial-Day wasn’t really beginner-friendly, more like showing off what the intermediate class could do. Sometimes it wasn’t clear what the plan was, especially towards the end. Most of the organizing happens on WhatsApp. Language barrier? Sure, but we always figure it out when it really matters. So glad I chose to train with Koko and Kapha, and our Bali-Yoga-Family!
Koko has taken the best from different schools and introduced some concepts that really help with perfecting poses.
The schedule starts off tough as nails as you build up the basics. Then it shifts focus to more spiritual and theoretical growth from week two onwards. Caroline taught us the basics – sweetest and most patient teacher ever. Koko is a rockstar – experienced, humble, patient, and wise. The Aerial and Restorative instructors were also great.
School hooks you up with books for learning, high-quality mats, blocks, cushions, and more.
The school’s surroundings are just magical – the view of the pool and shala is a sight to behold. And it’s nice that it’s a bit away from all the noise in Ubud. Twice a week, you can catch a ride to town with others from the school.
Food is well-prepped and balanced, though sometimes a bit lacking in spices. But that seems to be the theme in Bali. They do provide basic seasonings like salt, soy sauce, and chili sauce.
As for accommodation, I stayed at a homestay so can’t speak for the school’s lodgings.

January 23, 2024 at 12:00 amI went to Teacher Coco’s yoga school in Ubud, Bali. They have friendly teaching methods, a clean yoga studio, and serve delicious meals. The school is located in a beautiful location. Teacher Sari, Teacher Mulia, and the staff, including a guy named Didin, taught me well and kept the homestay safe. I would love to visit again next time I’m in Ubud.

January 22, 2024 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved my teaching experience with Koko at Kapha Yoga School! Koko is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, and the course content was thorough and interesting. We got to start practicing teaching early on, which was really helpful. The group size was smaller than other courses I had looked at, so we all got to know each other really well and had a fantastic teaching experience. The one day aerial yoga was a fun bonus too! The location in the jungle was magical, with amazing outdoor studios and a pool to cool off in. The food was delicious and varied, and it was nice to have early finishes to explore Ubud for dinner. The accommodation was just like the photos, simple and perfect after a long day of training. Thank you Kapha Yoga School for such an incredible experience that truly changed my life!

January 20, 2024 at 12:00 amI suggest making the Aerial yoga part a workshop session rather than including teaching, especially for those who are new to it. Teaching Aerial yoga after only one day of practice could be risky since it has a higher potential for injury. It’s tough to cover everything in detail with limited time, so I recommend either more practice teaching or simply focusing on learning the poses. I really enjoyed my experience at Kapha Yoga’s YTT program. The structure was great and the teachers Mulia, Koko, and Ririt were amazing. The small group of 6 was perfect. We started teaching from day one, which definitely boosted our confidence for tests. The studio had beautiful views, especially during sunsets. The accommodation was simple but clean with everything you need. There’s a laundry shop nearby too. I highly recommend this training, especially for the fair price.

January 20, 2024 at 12:00 amI signed up for Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, and I’m so glad I did. The training covered everything from yoga to meditation and pranayama. It was intense at times, but it gave me a solid foundation for teaching yoga. The small group setting felt familiar and the teachers were great. The location of the yoga school is amazing and the food was delicious, with fresh fruit and juice every day. Koko, our host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Plus, the training included excursions to Ubud. Overall, I found the program to be a professional and well-rounded education.

January 11, 2024 at 12:00 amThe housing accommodations at the retreat center are very basic. You can’t leave the air conditioning on during the day, so the rooms get really humid and your clothes could end up getting moldy. It wasn’t the most relaxing environment to stay in for 3 weeks. I think they’re still working on improving the housing, so hopefully it will be better in about a year. The whole area is full of construction, but it’s not too bothersome during the day. I think it will look amazing once it’s all done.
The course is packed with a ton of information in a short amount of time. It would have been nice to have group study sessions and fun ways to remember all the routines together. The views from the yoga area are absolutely stunning!
The food at the retreat center was excellent, with lots of healthy options and delicious fresh juices. The meals were always served on time and made with fresh ingredients. Mulia, our yoga teacher, was fantastic. She was patient with us and taught us all the essentials of yoga.

January 3, 2024 at 12:00 amThere wasn’t much that disappointed me throughout this experience. Of course, construction can be noisy at times, as others mentioned, but Koko always made sure we had a quiet space to learn. I never felt that the noise took away from my experience. The food was always good, but be careful of Bali belly! Remember to take probiotics and earplugs, because you might have a chatty gecko roommate at night! But honestly, no complaints here. There was so much to love about this program! The location was absolutely gorgeous. Every day, I was amazed by the jungle, rice fields, sunsets, and the culture. I chose the private wood room and it was an amazing accommodation with a breathtaking view. I felt like we had an in-depth experience and learned so much. I loved how Koko incorporated the holistic and energetic aspects of yoga. I specifically looked for a program that honored the roots and history of yoga and its purpose of connecting with the universe, not just taking care of the body. I got everything I wanted out of this experience, and the connections I made were beautiful. Koko took good care of us and the food was tasty.

January 2, 2024 at 12:00 amKoko made sure we were happy with our rooms, the food, and the way of teaching. He really went above and beyond. On the first day, Koko and the lovely Estee talked about our team being our new “family,” which I found a bit strange at first since we were all strangers. But it didn’t take long for me to realize they were right. We became so close in such a short time.
The teaching was thorough, and they always encouraged questions. It was intense, but that’s what I expected. The teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at their craft. They were always willing to help.
Everyone on the team was so accommodating. They were always there to assist us. I’ve gained so much knowledge and I’m really excited to start teaching yoga. This experience has truly changed my life. ❤️

December 23, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved this experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The lovely teachers really helped me gain confidence in teaching, deepen my own practice, and increase my motivation and aspirations in yoga.
I want to give a huge thanks to all our teachers, Esti, Koko, and Caroline, who were all incredibly experienced. The teaching material they provided us with was extensive and incredibly helpful.
The yoga school itself was great, especially the beautiful outside studio. The food was also very good. It’s located a bit outside of Ubud city centre, but we were given plenty of chances to be driven there in the evenings. I actually liked that it was a bit further away as it made the location very peaceful.
One of the highlights for me was the aerial yoga workshop! It inspired me to start practicing aerial yoga more myself and hopefully teach it in the future.
Overall, it was a beautiful and unforgettable experience in a stunning location. I want to express my immense gratitude to the Kapha team for everything ❤️

December 17, 2023 at 12:00 amWhen you arrive, you’ll receive learning material that you’ll use throughout the program. In the end, you’ll present two classes – one power and one vinyasa class. Our teacher Caroline helped us find the right sequences, and I felt well prepared. Overall, I feel extremely ready to teach yoga now, thanks to the education provided by Kapha School.
I want to mention one amazing teacher, Esti. She’s such a kind soul and has helped me improve my asanas a lot. I’ll really miss her!
If you want to practice surrounded by beautiful nature in paradise, then this is the perfect place for you. Koko and his team take great care of the school, cleaning it every day before our class starts.
As a vegan, Koko made sure that I was happy with every meal, so I felt very welcomed.
I chose the dorm and lived with two other girls in a spacious six-bed dorm. If you’re looking for luxury, this might not be the right place for you. But for me, it was alright, since I knew that basic standards are typical in Bali.
All in all, I’ve learned a lot and had my own learning adventure during these three weeks. I don’t want to miss a single day of it. Kapha will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you, Koko and Kapha School, for everything! I’ll treasure these memories forever.

December 5, 2023 at 12:00 amThe yoga teacher training offer excellent quality, delivering all the important information in a concise manner. The yoga school boasts fantastic surroundings with an outdoor studio and a pool, leaving nothing to be desired. Koko, the instructor, is always available to answer any questions and the documentation provided is thorough. I highly recommend this teacher training to anyone looking to teach, as it prepares you extremely well for the role. The accommodation may be simple, but it offers all the necessary equipment for the required conditions. The food is delivered fresh and you can indulge in delicious Balinese cuisine. The evenings in Ubud allow you to explore the town and enjoy your free time. Additionally, having a laundry and a pharmacy right next to the studio is extremely convenient. And the best part? The price-performance ratio is truly outstanding!

November 26, 2023 at 12:00 amI have nothing to complain about. The accommodation rooms, although dated, were clean. It was just a bed to sleep in, but it was actually very comfy! As soon as I arrived, it felt like home and was very welcoming. The studio and school are located in a beautiful spot, right next to the jungle with amazing views that I never got tired of. The food was always different, tasty, and presented beautifully. I even took a few breaks from learning to enjoy the pool. The most important thing was that I felt incredibly lucky to be learning from Koko. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and he’s very encouraging. Even as a beginner, he made me feel like it was possible and helped me grow in confidence. I can’t recommend this school enough! It’s also amazing considering the cost compared to other schools.

November 25, 2023 at 12:00 amYou’ve got to check out Koko’s yoga teacher training in Ubud! The studio is expanding and the construction work was no issue for us, despite what some negative reviews say. Seriously, book this training! It was an incredible three weeks and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Bali kapha yoga is pure magic. Koko is an exceptional teacher, so patient and knowledgeable. The studio is stunning and constantly growing. Our shala had the most amazing view of the jungle, and we loved hanging out by the swimming pool between classes. I’m already counting down the days until I can come back for more. This place attracts amazing people and we truly became like a family. I’m going to miss it all so much. November 6, 2023 at 12:00 amIn March 2023, I booked the training and agreed on a start date of 1-22 October. However, in July, I was asked if I could shift my start date to 9 Oct. I couldn’t change my flight because it would be too costly. Although I had concerns about how the training would work and the idea of training alone, I was assured that I would be joining classes of both the current group and the new group starting on the 9th. Despite my reservations, I decided to trust the process.
The day before I was supposed to start, I was informed that I would be receiving private tuition from a teacher at the studio. It sounded good, but it turned out that the assigned teacher had limited English skills and lacked experience in teaching. It was a challenging and frustrating few weeks for both of us. Being shouted at multiple times was not something I appreciated, especially when the teacher couldn’t communicate clearly. It was evident that the teacher wasn’t enthusiastic about teaching and seemed uncomfortable in their role. On the positive side, the location was beautiful and I met some wonderful people, both fellow trainees and staff. The food and juices were enjoyable as well.
Overall, I was disappointed with the training. While the course materials were excellent, the actual delivery of the training was disjointed, and the quality of teaching from my assigned tutor was subpar. However, I must mention that Caroline was an amazing tutor – professional, competent, and caring. The same goes for Koko, though I hope that future attention is focused more on the students’ needs rather than the studio’s needs.
Additionally, I would suggest that all students receive a basic orientation upon arrival at the studio. This would help familiarize trainees with their surroundings and provide information about teaching days, daily topics, and days off.

November 4, 2023 at 12:00 amThe construction of the new ashram caused some disturbing noise. The Aerial classes were not well-guided. They organized outings and various trips to Ubud for us. Overall, we felt well taken care of.

November 2, 2023 at 12:00 amThe construction going on the whole time really ruined the ambience, which was a shame. Unfortunately, there were some contradictions in teaching between the teachers and a major difference in the level of attention they gave to students. We were taught about the importance of making students feel safe and comfortable in their practice, but in aerial yoga training, many of us had to ask for adjustments to avoid hitting our heads, which was extremely unsafe. The teacher would physically move students into positions they weren’t comfortable with and didn’t provide clear direction when asked. It would have been so much better if we had an induction and introduction/closing for the group instead of relying on WhatsApp messages. On the bright side, the school was located outside of the busy Ubud center and had a stunning backdrop. I learned a lot and got plenty of teaching practice, all while being surrounded by a fantastic group of people!

November 1, 2023 at 12:00 amThe area is generally very loud, but the yoga school cannot be held responsible for it. It’s similar in other parts of Bali. Earplugs help 😉
Helpful ReviewOther than that, I have nothing to complain about. Everything was great. Koko took care of all of us with love and we didn’t lack anything. Excellent pick-up service on both arrival and departure days. Daily shuttle service to and from the accommodation, always on time. Amazing food, varied and balanced, lovingly prepared. Coffee, tea, and water were always available, even in the rooms. Shuttle provided for free evenings to and from Ubud. A fully organized day with sightseeing highlights around Ubud. Great scripts and effective learning methods. Sufficient breaks and me-time. And the pool, of course, was something special. We enjoyed it during lunch and afternoon breaks. We even had photo spots for sunset. We really didn’t have to worry about anything for three weeks. Everything was taken care of for us!

October 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI want people to have a better experience, so I must say that the teaching was quite incoherent and difficult to follow due to the language barrier. The continuous construction noise on-site was slightly intrusive on our time. Moreover, there was a real lack of introduction or orientation. I feel like safety was not taken into account during the aerial yoga sessions, as the focus seemed to be more on taking pictures rather than ensuring we had a good experience. On the positive side, I met amazing people and truly enjoyed my time here. Not to mention, my alignment improved and my own practice deepened. Plus, the sunsets were absolutely beautiful. I must also mention that it was the cheapest option I could find in Indonesia.

October 31, 2023 at 12:00 amThe food quality was excellent, but it gets a bit repetitive since it’s almost the same every day. One thing I found odd was that the food was vegetarian instead of vegan. Considering that one of the main concepts of yoga is ahimsa – non-violence and non-cruelty, I personally think there shouldn’t be eggs in the food. Just something to consider 🙂
I also wish we had more focus on the spiritual side of yoga and more restorative yoga classes. It would have been nice if there weren’t so many pictures taken, especially during challenging activities like aerial yoga. I wasn’t a big fan of the aerial yoga overall. The instructor didn’t speak much English and had a bad attitude towards other students. There was basically no guidance during the class, but there were plenty of pictures being taken. I think it should be the other way around 🙂
Still, I think it’s a good teacher training overall. The studio is located in a beautiful area surrounded by rice terraces. There was some construction noise, but that’s understandable. Both of the teachers I had were very professional and kind. Even though I came to the training without any experience, they were understanding and helpful. Caroline and Koko taught me a lot. I still don’t feel ready to become a full-time yoga teacher, but with more time and practice, I will get there. The teachers gave me a solid foundation.
Unfortunately, the apartment I booked wasn’t available, but they offered me another one that I absolutely loved. I stayed in an apartment owned by an amazing family who treated me like a member of their own. The price is great for the quality of the training (although I would recommend having prior yoga experience since it can be quite challenging, not just for beginners, especially in the first few days).
Overall, I highly recommend this teacher training. I met wonderful people, and I send lots of love to both the teachers, employees like Mr. Didin, and fellow students.

October 27, 2023 at 12:00 amHere are some important things to consider before deciding to attend this training:
1. If you’re more interested in deepening your own yoga practice rather than teaching beginners, this training may not be the best fit for you. Our focus is on learning how to teach beginners, with a lot of practice and emphasis on basic poses, pranayama, and alignment.
2. This training assumes that you already have some experience with yoga and are familiar with the basic poses. While our teachers provide adjustments and assistance with alignment, if you’ve never done yoga before, it’s recommended that you gain some prior experience before attending.
3. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, it’s important to note that this training is affordably priced in comparison to others. The accommodations are simple, with rooms being cleaned once a week, and it’s expected that you clean up after yourself in the studio. If this doesn’t meet your expectations, you may want to consider a more expensive option. However, I personally found the value to be amazing for the price and exactly what I was looking for.
That being said, if you’re genuinely interested in learning how to teach yoga, have previous experience with yoga, want an affordable training of excellent quality, and don’t mind simple accommodations, then I highly recommend going for it! Let me tell you more about what to expect:
– Teaching style: We focused heavily on practicing teaching from day one, which I found to be extremely beneficial.
– Quality of teaching: The teachers and director are truly incredible and knowledgeable. They are kind, helpful, and provide valuable advice. They are also open to feedback and continuously strive to improve the training.
– Studio: The studio itself is absolutely beautiful, exactly as shown in the pictures. During breaks, you can enjoy the great pool and breathtaking view. Additionally, you’ll have access to individual storage space (without a lock) and a shared fridge. There are also free coffee, tea, and drinking water available for refilling your bottles.
– Location: Situated in a peaceful area, the studio is a 30-minute drive from Ubud. Twice a week, a driver will take you to town for some free time. There is also a convenience store just 5 minutes away, a coffee plantation to visit within a 3-minute walk, and the stunning Tegallalang rice fields just 15 minutes away.
– Food: The food provided during the training is not only delicious but also of high-quality. You’ll receive individual plates rather than a buffet. The meals are served on reusable baskets and banana leaves instead of plastic, showing their commitment to sustainability. And the portion sizes are perfect!
– Schedule: While the training is intense, I found the schedule to be perfectly balanced, allowing for enough breaks and time off.
– Accommodation: The rooms, located just a 2-minute walk from the studio, are basic but comfortable. I stayed in room 3, which was the more affordable option for a single room. It had everything I needed, including a single bed, a jug of drinking water, a wardrobe, a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, and an efficient air conditioning system.
I hope this information helps you make an informed decision about attending the training. If you meet the criteria I mentioned earlier, I believe you’ll have a fantastic experience!

October 23, 2023 at 12:00 amI got to meet the instructor for about 3 to 4 minutes, which was great because I got to learn from different teachers. I wasn’t feeling well at that time, but my yoga teacher made me ginger tea to help me get over my cold. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the teachers’ friends are really nice. I highly recommend this place.

October 18, 2023 at 12:00 amIs there anyone who can help Teacher Koko manage the studio so that she can focus solely on teaching? It would be great to have someone to assist since there are still many yoga asanas she wants to learn from other teachers. The studio itself has a beautiful and organized environment, ensuring ultimate comfort and enjoyment. The yoga instruction is top-notch, making it the perfect place for both relaxation and learning the art of becoming a yoga teacher.

October 12, 2023 at 12:00 amKoko and his team quickly fixed a few hiccups with the running water in our accommodation. The teachers were not only amazing but also very kind and welcoming. The studio, nestled in nature, offered a refreshing pool to cool off in during breaks. I was lucky to have an incredible group of classmates from all around the world, and I can proudly say that I’ve found friends for life. The food was fantastic, both in terms of quality and quantity. I especially loved how they took us into the city of Ubud every few days for massages, shopping, and delicious meals.

October 8, 2023 at 12:00 amThe dorm room lacks AC but there’s a fan. It got pretty hot during the day but it was okay at night. I didn’t mind it too much though, since everything else was awesome. Koko, Mulia, and Rina were amazing! They shared valuable knowledge, showed kindness, and made sure we were comfortable. They were so helpful, always there to answer our questions and take great care of us. I’m incredibly thankful to them, words can’t express my gratitude.

September 15, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t expect it to be like this. I should have done more research and gotten more information before signing up. I guess that goes for all the yoga teacher training courses offered on this site. Actually, I ended up leaving before the course ended and without the famous yoga certificate, which I don’t really care about anyway. If you’re over 40, I suggest really thinking about whether these kind of yoga teacher trainings are right for you. The workload and schedule are designed for younger, trained individuals. However, I did gain some yoga skills (specifically vinyasa flow) and a basic understanding of how to structure a yoga class. It was good for personal development and gaining some insights.

August 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI completed a 50-hour Yin Yoga teacher training with Rina from Koko Yoga. I learned a lot from Rina and I really enjoyed my time in Ubud. Rina taught in a way that suited my visual learning style. She shared her wisdom and knowledge with me, and even after the course ended, she continued to share music and books. It was an amazing experience with Rina, and I’m so grateful to her. Thank you!

July 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe accommodations at Uma Dawa Resort were situated near the owner’s private residence where construction was taking place, causing a lot of noise and disruption at times. However, I assume this won’t be a long-lasting issue. The schooling experience was made incredibly easy for me as there were three different teachers who catered to different learning styles. They were all very friendly, positive, and encouraging. I truly believe that choosing this place for my teacher training was the best decision I could have made. I received full support throughout my time here, and to top it off, we even had an organized day out that was a lot of fun. I have no hesitation in recommending Koko’s school to others. The learning materials we received over the course of 21 days were of great value for the money. What I particularly liked was the convenient access to Ubud central from where we stayed, which was just a 30-minute walk away. It allowed us to enjoy the restaurants, beautiful shops, and the overall vibrant atmosphere of the place.

July 16, 2023 at 12:00 amWow, I can’t believe how fast three weeks flew by! Choosing Koko’s Kapha Yoga School was such a great decision. The teachers there are so dedicated and knowledgeable, and the school itself is absolutely beautiful. The accommodation was simple but perfect, and every day I felt completely at peace. I learned a ton and now I feel so confident in my yoga teaching abilities. If you’re in search of an authentic, down-to-earth, life-changing, and beautiful experience, I highly recommend this school.

July 10, 2023 at 12:00 amI had an amazing time at the retreat. I learned so many things, not just about yoga, but also about life. The teachers worked really hard and were very patient. They listened to our feedback and made changes right away. The food was delicious and healthy. The groups were small, which was great. Sometimes, I wished there was a bit more structure. But I believe that the success of a learning retreat ultimately comes down to oneself. The retreat provides all the tools you need, but it’s up to you to use them in your learning journey and in becoming a yoga teacher.

July 8, 2023 at 12:00 amThe studio is so beautiful! It’s literally right next to the jungle. The view is just mind-blowing and the pool and outdoor area are absolutely perfect for our yoga sessions and meditations.
Koko was amazing at always responding to our feedback right away and he really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was super comfortable. And the best part? We got to use the scooters for free, which made it a breeze to explore the surrounding areas and the center of Ubud.
Honestly, I felt so incredibly calm and centered during my entire stay here. I can’t recommend this YTT enough! Plus, it’s also the most affordable one I came across in all of Bali!

May 25, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m so grateful and filled with gratitude! This journey has given me a deeper purpose and I’m excited for what’s to come in helping others live healthier and more meaningful lives. I want to express my thanks to Bali Kapha and all my teachers – Koko, Esti, Lisa, and Sari. Because of them, I now have a radiant light inside me that shines brighter than ever. And to my amazing classmates, thank you for sharing this journey with me, for being vulnerable, and for showing immense courage. I truly believe we were brought together not by chance, but to learn and grow from one another. One of my favorite parts of the experience was the yoga studio itself, with its stunning surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful aesthetic.
The addition of restorative and Aerial Yoga was awesome! It would be perfect if there was also a sound healing class to complete the experience. ?
I also want to express my gratitude for the incredible trip to Ubud – Kintamani, Pura Tirta Empul, Pura Gunung Kawi, Pura Goa Gajah, and Tegenungan Waterfall. It was a major highlight for me since I lived in Bali for 10 years and never got the chance to visit these places. So, thank you!
As I pray for a bright future ahead and wish everyone good luck in everything they do, I want to say a big thank you to Bali Kapha Yoga School for providing me with the best three weeks of my life!

April 7, 2023 at 12:00 amBefore joining this training, I had thoroughly examined the program and asked via message if the spiritual aspect of yoga was truly present in the training because I did not want to join a “best Instagram picture” school, and I was assured that it was indeed present, so I shouldn’t worry. However, in my opinion, the spiritual aspects were barely touched upon and not practiced much in everyday life.
Furthermore, despite the visible reluctance of people in my group, we were constantly being filmed and photographed, which wasn’t necessarily pleasant. (I had mentioned in the disclaimer at the beginning of the training that I wanted to have a say in the photos of me used on social media, but that was not respected). In short, it was a technically very interesting training, but it was difficult for me to stay focused on the deeper implications of yoga.
I really appreciated the technical advice on performing different asanas with proper alignment to avoid any risk of injury. The proposed structure for building a vinyasa or power class was very clear and will allow me to create my own classes in a structured way.
The teaching methods of the three instructors were complementary (I would like to emphasize that Esti was fantastic both in terms of teaching and kindness), the equipment was in great condition, and the written materials were detailed and of high quality.
The location was wonderful (Uma Dawa hotel in Ubud), but it seems that we were the last session to benefit from it because future trainings will be held in a new studio in Ubud.
I was in a group of eight people, which was the ideal size for me because I wouldn’t have liked being in a huge group or, on the contrary, just with one or two other people.
Overall, I am happy with my training because the quality-to-price ratio was very good, the location was marvelous, my group was really pleasant, and the teachers/assistants were attentive in trying to satisfy everyone’s needs.

April 5, 2023 at 12:00 amJust so you know, the trainers in every yoga class take a lot of photos and videos. They do this even though they were asked to take fewer photos. It’s a great program, especially if you’re new to yoga. The first few days can be really exhausting and your muscles will be sore all over your body 🙂
Caroline, Esti, and Koko were amazing teachers. They were very caring and dedicated. I also got to meet a lot of wonderful women who made my stay unforgettable.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s very peaceful and there’s plenty of space. The food comes in paper boxes and banana peels, but don’t worry, it’s always delicious and they serve a variety of dishes. They also provide fresh fruit in the evenings.

March 10, 2023 at 12:00 amI completed the 22-day Teacher Training (200 hours) and I’m very satisfied with the program. The resort is absolutely stunning and the overall value for money is unbeatable. The trainers are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though teaching and learning in English was a real challenge for me at times, they were very understanding. Olin, Koko, and Lisa are all amazing teachers who genuinely love teaching and are passionate about yoga philosophy. The training provided us with a wealth of extensive knowledge. I wish everyone there nothing but the best.
PS: The meals are no longer served in plastic containers, but in paper boxes and beautifully arranged in small leaf bowls. The quality is definitely top-notch. In addition to the three main meals, they also provide a serving of fruit in the evening and a fresh juice.

February 10, 2023 at 12:00 amWe had three different teachers throughout our course, and each one showed great dedication in helping us learn in various ways. The resort we stayed at in Ubud was absolutely stunning, with its amazing location. Right from the start, we were given ample opportunities for teaching practice which greatly boosted our confidence and helped us discover our own teaching styles.

January 16, 2023 at 12:00 amThere’s really not much to complain about… maybe if we could have stable hot water for showering at night. Koko and the resort managers have been helpful with the situation, but it’s ultimately a facility issue. Other than that, everything has been fantastic!
Koko, the main yoga instructor, has a real passion for yoga and teaching. You should ask him about his age, you’ll be amazed!
I love the flexibility of the course. It’s just me and my friend in the learning cohort, so the coursework is tailored to our level, needs, and travel schedule. It’s perfect for us.
The folks at ISY have been accommodating with my gluten soy dairy intolerance. They’ve been able to provide me with delicious meals that fit my dietary restrictions.
I appreciate that I’m learning more about yoga as a whole, not just treating it as an exercise.
And the best part is, the price is very reasonable for the quality of the experience. It’s beyond what I expected.

January 13, 2023 at 12:00 amWatch out for Bali belly. The yoga teacher training in Bali turned out to be not what I expected – it was so formal! But surprisingly, I was blown away by everything. It truly gave me a healing experience and taught me how to become a better person. Our class was small, just the two of us, so we got to dive into all the details and have deeper discussions. Our instructor, Koko, was amazing – patient, helpful, and not just in class. He even assisted me with hotel and travel arrangements while we were in Bali. The best part was that I gained a profound understanding of yoga, realizing it’s not just about exercising or stretching; it’s also deeply spiritual. This newfound knowledge will undoubtedly impact the rest of my life.

January 10, 2023 at 12:00 amI just have a small complaint about the food. After three weeks of having rice two to three times a day, I’m getting a bit tired of it. But it’s really a minor complaint because the meals are well-cooked and they make an effort to vary it, so it’s not the same every day. Unfortunately, the meals are always served cold. But in the end, we are getting healthy and tasty food, and we’re never hungry at night. 🙂
The YTT 200 was a fantastic experience for me. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to “just learn” more about yoga, and a 200-hour training might be too much if I didn’t plan on becoming a teacher. But I highly recommend giving it a try because it turned out to be such a great time, and now I unexpectedly have a desire to teach yoga. 🙂
One of the best things about the program was that the groups were small (we were only four girls). This gave us plenty of time to ask the teachers questions and have plenty of practice in teaching each other. It also focused on teaching and learning the proper alignment in yoga and asanas, which was really beneficial.
The hotel is located in a beautiful spot. During lunch breaks, we have the option to take a quick swim in the large pool. The rooms are nice, and there are many pleasant areas on the property.
I want to thank everyone for this wonderful experience, especially the amazing teachers and the other three lovely girls. 🙂 I have a feeling that I will often look back and remember this special time.

January 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved the training! It left me feeling excited and confident about structuring different types of yoga classes. The methodology we learned for crafting a flow, making sure to target all areas of the body, was absolutely fantastic. I’m grateful to have been introduced to it because I’ve already used it to structure many of my own classes.
Koko was amazing at taking in student suggestions and feedback, tailoring his classes to fit our learning style. He pushed us to be our best, even though it was exhausting at times. But his teaching really helped me grow a lot, and I’m so thankful for that. I only had one day of class with Caroline due to the schedule, but she was incredibly friendly and a great communicator. I had a really enjoyable time learning from her.
After completing the course, I felt like I had grown not only in my yoga practice but also as a person. I highly recommend it!

December 23, 2022 at 12:00 amKoko, the yoga teacher, is incredibly caring. Caroline and Lisa, the other yoga instructors, are both brilliant and caring women. They’re also amazing yoga practitioners! The resort we stayed in, Uma Dawa, is absolutely perfect for a yoga retreat. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful nature and historical monuments.
There are both indoor and outdoor yoga rooms. They’re both great, depending on the weather, and can accommodate the students well. Since my group was small, consisting of only 4 students, it was extremely easy for me to learn and practice under the close guidance of the teachers. We could even ask them for personal advice or adjustments to the schedule. This allowed us to focus on our areas of interest and have some extra free time as well!
The traditional Indonesian and vegetarian food provided for lunch and dinner is delicious. However, eating cold rice and fried vegetables/tofu for three weeks can become a bit tough on the stomach and repetitive in the end ?. But that’s just a small detail compared to the amazing program that awaits students in this lovely place with these wonderful teachers!
Thanks to them, I now feel confident about teaching yoga back home!

December 4, 2022 at 12:00 amI can’t eat soy or gluten, so I asked my instructor to change the protein source in my meals. They told me that yogis are vegetarian and that’s just the way it is. I ended up feeling weak and sick, and had to order separate food from the resort. Thankfully, a new instructor came who understood and fixed the issue within a day. It was great that it got resolved quickly, but frustrating that the initial instructor didn’t help when they knew about my sickness.
If you have any dietary requirements, make sure to clearly explain them to Koko, the owner, from the beginning. He was fine with the diet change. Looking back, I should have asked him first instead of going through an instructor. The instructors were really into yoga and the small class size allowed for lots of attention and correction. I saw a lot of improvement in my practice during this course. The resort itself was nice and quiet. The theory portion covered a wide range of topics, including chakras and medical terminology.

November 7, 2022 at 12:00 amThe only downside was the catering food that was served in plastic containers. Just a side note, as a suggestion for improvement. I’m against plastic, and we should take care of our earth and its beautiful natural areas. We should pay more attention to such things. In general, there is an excessive use of plastic containers, bags, etc. in Bali, which surprised me in a very negative way. The people were fantastic, and the teachers had great knowledge and provided a lot of support during my weak moments. You can see their passion in what they do. It was also a big plus that we were in a small group, so the teachers had plenty of time for each of us. I highly recommend it to everyone. A big thank you to Koko ?. A big thank you to Caroline ?. A big thank you to Lisa ?. Thank you, thank you, and Namaste ?. Anna from Germany. ?

The breakfast options, specifically having fruits in the mornings, were great. The teachers were all incredibly patient, beautiful, and respectful. I appreciated that we switched spots for teaching. The afternoon practice every Monday was held outside of the resort, which was nice. Being a small group was beneficial for learning. The morning meditation was a great way to start the day.
