I’m not sure about the agreement between World Peace Yoga school and the hotel, but I think we could have gotten better quality food for the money we paid. When I booked this teacher training, I thought I could handle eating the same meal every day. But I was wrong. We mostly had steamed or fried rice, french fries with vegetables, tofu and tempeh, and salad twice a day. Sometimes the salad was unwashed or had mold on it. I would have liked more nutritious options like quinoa, lentils, and different nuts instead of just peanuts, even if it was only every few days. Breakfast was good though! Another issue was that I ended up at a completely different teacher training than the one I signed up for. The photos of the hotel were nothing like what I experienced, but it seems this program was new. The training I booked had “Ayurveda” in the title, so I expected more discussion on that topic than the two lessons we got in the end. Despite that, I’m happy with what I learned and experienced! Just a heads up for future bookers that things might not be exactly as expected (which can be a good life lesson). 🙂 I appreciated learning from the teachers and deepening my knowledge of Yoga. Thank you Ashu for incorporating your Indian culture into the lessons, even though the storytelling at times was hard to connect with the main topic. But understanding the roots of Yoga was important to me. The schedule was packed, just as I wanted, to fully engage in the experience. The quality of the lessons was top-notch and the teachers were dedicated to teaching us thoroughly, which was most important to me! Thank you very much. The hotel resort was very clean, and I loved the spacious room I had to myself. The rooftop was the perfect spot for meditation, and the small gym was a nice bonus!

I recently finished my 200hr Kundalini YTT with World Peace Yoga School, and it was amazing! The setting in Bali was beautiful, but the real magic was in the incredible teachers. They taught with passion and created a safe space for us to heal, learn, and grow. I’ll always be grateful for this enriching experience and for the wonderful GuruJi and HariPriya.

The construction work in the building was making noise, but it finished quickly. The teaching team’s availability, responsiveness, extra activities, and introduction to the Gayatri mantra were all important aspects.

I just returned from my 200-hour Kundalini Teacher training, and I absolutely loved everything about it! Words can’t express how amazing my experience was – definitely one of the best experiences of my life. I can’t wait to go back for more.

The teachers are so knowledgeable, passionate, and clear in how they explain everything. The kitchen staff prepared three fresh and delicious meals daily, and I never felt sick during my time there. The front desk staff are always ready to help with any questions and they always have a solution. Everyone at the training was kind, caring, respectful, and friendly. It was just perfect!

The yoga hall was dirty and the temperature was uncomfortable due to the construction of the rooftop. I caught a cold after it rained for two days. The props were dirty and had a bad smell. The atmosphere of this school wasn’t good. It felt commercial and lacked positive energy. I didn’t complete the course because of these issues. Everyone in my group was frustrated. It was supposed to be a nice experience, but it wasn’t. The group was nice and some lessons were good. The school’s location and the view were pretty good.

I regretted staying at the school. I recommend paying for just the course and staying/eating elsewhere. It would have made my experience better and saved me money staying elsewhere/eating out every meal. I ate out most of the time because previous students had gotten very ill from the food and water. The food wasn’t balanced, tasted good but lacked nutrition in my opinion – just carbs and oil. The accommodation was basic, the bed was harder than my wooden bed during Vipassana. If I had stayed at a hostel, I would have had a cleaner space, no 10:30pm curfew, a comfy bed, and probably fewer night terrors. The teachers here are all amazing. I had Dr. Lata Ji, Sunil Ji, Kanna Ji, Dr Himanshu Ji, Naveen Ji, and special shoutout to Siddha Ji. Every teacher I had was extremely knowledgeable about their topic and worded things in a way that opened my mind. I felt privileged every day to be taught by such highly educated and intelligent individuals.

There are no tools to clean, so you can’t mop or wash the sink in the room. The food was alright for the first two weeks, but then they started serving the same things every day. I ended up eating out every day… I came here to get in shape, but I actually gained weight :/ I really liked the group of people who came for certification. We all got along really well. The days were filled with fun, energy, and lots of activity.

I really enjoyed practicing ashtanga, and my favorite classes were adjustment and alignment with Ashu and Anatomy with Himanshu. I also liked Philosophy a lot 🙂

We received the recordings a little later than anticipated, but it wasn’t a big deal. The facilitators communicated excellently. This retreat offers amazing value, with instructors who really understand the philosophy behind the practice. The English used is clear and easy to follow. Communicating on WhatsApp outside of Zoom meetings made it easy to connect with the class and ask the instructors questions. Despite the time zone differences, distance didn’t matter at all.

The time was a bit challenging (having to be up at 1:30 a.m.) but if you couldn’t make the class, they had the recording ready for you quickly. So basically, you can still participate and go about your day. Thank you so much! I am so grateful, filled with love and goddess energy. I didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. The chanting and movement was amazing! It felt like pure connection and release. Guru Ji’s words were inspiring and Yogini Radha was captivating. I truly felt surrounded by divine goddess energy. It was empowering and beautiful! One of the highlights was creating tantra energy with people from all over the world. I appreciate World Peace Yoga School for offering this incredible class online during these challenging times. It has allowed me to dive into my passion for yoga right now, when I wasn’t sure when I would make it to India. I will always be thankful! Namastè:D

I just finished an online yoga course from World Peace Yoga School. The teachers there are incredibly knowledgeable and humble. They have so much wisdom about yoga and life. I really enjoyed learning from them. Guru Vishnu ji guided us on how to live a healthy life and practice meditation, among other things. Even though I am far away from them, I still feel their positive vibes.

I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to deepen their yoga practice.

I loved every bit of it! Vishnu really knows his stuff when it comes to explaining the symbolism of Tantra. He says that not understanding the symbolism can lead to confusion, and the main goal is ultimately about achieving Union, like any other profound teaching. Even though his knowledge is deep, he somehow manages to connect with his students, even through online classes.

Radha leads a captivating Tantra flow class that really immerses everyone in the essence of Tantric practices.

I’m currently enrolled in the 200 hour teacher training program, and I’m receiving in-depth instruction in both Tantra and Yoga. The team at World Peace Yoga is amazing – if you join them, you’ll undergo a transformative experience that will change you for the better!

Everything was perfect. But if I have to mention something to improve, the internet connection in India is not optimal. It gave us some minor issues during the online course for a day, and it was out of anyone’s control. However, I think World Peace Yoga School already anticipated and found solutions for this. As a bonus, we received all the recordings of the classes! So I can do my Tantra Yoga practices over and over again! I highly recommend taking an online course, all from the comfort of your own home!

I was supposed to travel to India to do the 200h yoga teacher training course, but due to the Corona virus, I had to postpone it to hopefully next year. Instead, I did a 3-day online course in Tantra Yoga. It’s amazing to see how World Peace Yoga School can offer such high-standard education online! The teachers have so much knowledge and their energy is beautiful. The course was beyond words, an amazing experience! I can recommend this professional school with a family/community feeling to everyone. I can’t wait to go there for a full course in person. The online course made me realize I chose the right school for my 200h course in the future. Additionally, Tantra Yoga is a beautiful part of yoga that I highly recommend. The divine energy we experienced through our practices was overwhelmingly beautiful! I have nothing but love and respect for this school, the teachers, and the fellow students. Namaste!

The Internet in India can be quite temperamental so we had to be patient. But we always managed to fix it, even though it was challenging.

This review covers accommodations and food for an online course. The course itself was fantastic, with two parts: theory and practical. I enjoyed both! The theory part might be tough if you’re not already familiar with Hindu gods and goddesses, so it’s good to have some prior knowledge.

The practical classes were amazing. Each day left me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of love. The teachers were knowledgeable and confident in their delivery, which was truly inspiring to watch through a screen.

I highly recommend this course to anyone willing to keep an open mind. I learned a lot that I can incorporate into both my own practice and teaching.

Connecting with people from around the world during this course was a lovely experience.

The teachers are right there in front of us, just like in a real classroom. They address any questions or confusion immediately, just like a teacher would. And let me tell you, these teachers know their stuff. They really focus on making the experience fun while encouraging skills like focus, confidence, and mind/body awareness. They’re producing competent, healthy teachers here. The material is well-researched, balanced, and easy to understand. I know I’ll be ready to tackle any challenges life throws at me after this course. And I can’t wait to attend in-person once Covid-19 is over. I’ve already signed up for another course and I plan to continue my journey with them. This school is on a whole new level and I truly believe it’s the start of something amazing. The facilities at the school are terrible. Mold is growing out of the walls, cleanliness is non-existent, and the food consists mostly of carbs. The kitchen is also very dirty. There were 4 people in our class, 3 of us lived on campus, and we all got very sick. The female dorm doesn’t have hot water, and there is a water outage at least once a day. The staff is impolite and spends all their time on their phones, including the owner during kirtan. We enrolled in the 300-hour program but only received half the required hours for certification. This school is a scam and does not meet Yoga Alliance’s standards.

BookYogaRetreats helped us try to get a refund. We only received a small refund from the school and a refund of the commission from BookYogaRetreats. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The location is very central and convenient, and the Anatomy, Hatha, and alignment classes were good with knowledgeable teachers.

The heat during summer gave me a hard time sometimes, especially when there were power cuts, but the school can’t control that. I can’t express enough how happy and grateful I am to have chosen this school! From the beginning, everyone made sure it felt like home – a home away from home, which I really appreciate. The training syllabus is outstanding, all the subjects are interesting and relevant for those who want to delve deeper into the ancient knowledge of Yoga after the 200hr. This wouldn’t be possible without the amazing, professional, and inspirational teachers and founder. You can see how yoga is a part of their daily lives. The staff, at reception and in the kitchen, are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The atmosphere and energy of the place are great, it feels light and bright, with a beautiful garden area and a big balcony with mountain views. The halls where classes are held are clean and fully equipped. Thank you to everyone for making this transformational experience so unique; thanks to you, I feel like I have a home in Rishikesh now. If I ever consider taking another yoga training, this would be the place. If you’re looking for a truthful, enriching, and transformational yoga experience, this is the place to be!

I wasn’t really disappointed at all. I knew the ashram wouldn’t be a luxurious 5-star hotel. It had everything I needed. When I went in December, it was a bit colder than I expected, but I was able to stay warm with plenty of blankets. The hot water for showers didn’t last long, but that was fine because the cold water really helped wake me up in the mornings!

During the 200-hour Kundalini yoga teacher training, everything surpassed my expectations. The staff and teachers were incredible – they were so knowledgeable and friendly. They really felt like family. Despite the intense schedule (waking up at 5am and going to bed at 10pm), I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the spiritual side of yoga. There were many opportunities for group practices including meditation, asanas, and more. Plus, there was enough free time to have fun and explore the town.

We only spent 10 minutes on teaching methodology. Honestly, I thought we would spend more time on how to build a sequence, the right postures during practice, and what to do at the start or end of practice. I think starting from the 2nd week, students should practice for 30 minutes every day and receive constructive feedback. I enrolled in this course to become a teacher, not just to practice yoga every day.

I expect constructive feedback from teachers, not just a simple ‘very good.’ I want to know my progress and what I can improve on. During the course, we asked for feedback several times but only received ‘very good’ in response.

As a yogi, I expected bland food or at least something not too spicy. The meals were repetitive, with the only variation being chapati served at dinner. The food was heavy and full of black peppers. I asked for bland food and ended up eating boiled carrots and potatoes for a month. As a yogi, I want food that nourishes my body, mind, and soul.

The manual should include adjustments for each pose and better explanations of anatomy and muscle systems. It should also provide information on postures for specific conditions like herniated disks. This experience helped me look deeper into myself and change my perspective on life and the world. I learned breathing techniques that improve my daily life and gained new skills and knowledge to share with others.

I also learned how to live with people from different countries, share common spaces, and be myself without feeling pressured to be someone else. I truly valued the time and knowledge shared by each teacher.

The food, cooked with love, is amazing, although it can get a bit repetitive, it’s still really good. The teachers were amazing! Each one of them was so inspiring and knowledgeable, and they genuinely seemed interested in our learning. The subjects were taught very well and were incredibly interesting. The environment is perfect for diving into yourself and sharing your spiritual journey with like-minded people. The course timetable and what’s included, location, and accommodation were falsely advertised. We ended up having fewer teaching hours than we expected and absolutely no teaching methodology was covered. This led to an overall vibe of disappointment and tension, which was not very yogic at all. I loved everything about it. Even though the living conditions were a bit different from what I’m used to, it was all part of the experience and I felt safe the entire time. Some students complained about the food, but you can’t please everyone. I’m usually picky, but I really had no complaints. Plus, you always have the option of going to a local cafe or restaurant for a meal that costs less than $4 USD.

I can’t fully express what an amazing and fulfilling experience it was to take the 200hr yoga certification course at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. From the moment I arrived at the school, I felt right at home. Guru Vishnu, the owner, greeted us at the entrance and a volunteer helped with our luggage and showed us to our rooms. Everyone there is so kind and quickly becomes a friend. I have truly deepened my yoga knowledge and belief.

Coming from NYC, I had doubts about taking the course in Rishikesh instead of in the city, but I was blown away and grateful for completing my certification here. The teachers are the best and have a wealth of knowledge. Classes start at 6am and go until 7pm, six days a week, so you are pushed physically and mentally, but it’s all worth it.

I could go on and on about all the amazing people and experiences at WPYS, but there’s not enough space here, haha. I can’t wait to complete my 300hr course here, hopefully within the next year or two, and apply all I’ve learned at home.

The accommodations were okay, but not worth the price we paid. It was tough to communicate because the staff didn’t speak English. It felt like they were laughing and talking about us behind our backs. We had to wake the staff up at 7:30 am, and they were sleeping on the dining room floor, which was strange. The staff who took us to the Beatles Ashram had never been there before and didn’t even know who the Beatles were, haha! Most days, we ended up doing our own thing. The rooms were freezing. When I asked about heat, they told me to stick the dusty, loose wires into the hole in my room. My sheets were old and dirty. The room was so depressing and cold that I couldn’t even shower because my towel never dried and I would freeze getting out. I ended up showering at my friend’s place around the corner! I only had 3 excursions even though I was there for 5 days, so I should have had 2 more. Talking to people I met, I realized I paid a lot more and they seemed much happier in their accommodations. The staff did not offer any advice or help on trips. I was the only one on the retreat that week, and I felt more like a nuisance than a guest. It seemed like they just took the money upon arrival and that was it. Unfortunately, I would not stay there again or recommend it. The instructor was very friendly and I enjoyed his teaching and the trips he took us on. It’s a shame he’s not more prominently listed. On a positive note, my massage was lovely.

I arrived as planned on Dec 25, but my room wasn’t ready because of plumbing issues. They moved me to a not-so-great place across the street. Only after I mentioned how unfair it was did they transfer me to a nicer place. However, my room still wasn’t ready for another two nights. By then, it was too late to change rooms, so I decided to leave the retreat program and take yoga classes at nearby studios on my own. The assigned yoga instructor was not great and taught us as if we were in a teacher training program, repeating himself often.

WPY couldn’t provide what I signed up for and didn’t return my deposit, even though they were the ones who broke the contract. I felt like I was taken advantage of and won’t be coming back or recommending the school. The Christmas night food was good and plentiful.

Someone picked me up from the bus station and took me shopping at the market since it was cold and I needed thermals. The driver and his partner were kind, sweet, and considerate.

The trip to the Shiv temple to see the Himalayas was amazing.

During a 15-day stay, half of the cost covers the lessons and food, while the other half is for accommodation. At a price of 600 euros per month, you will have a shared room with a bathroom. The bathroom is very dirty (even though it may seem clean for India), the sheets and towels are all very stained, and the blankets and pillows smell really bad. Plastic is scattered around the garden beds along with forgotten old clothes. I won’t even mention the dishwashing area, which was frankly disgusting and nauseating (the dishes drained in old juice) and the osmosis water filter was leaking yellow (definitely do not drink the water!!). In short, for a price that is close to European rates, you will get a rundown place. Otherwise, you can find accommodation of the same quality for three times less expensive in the immediate vicinity. If you still plan to sleep there, don’t forget your towel and a pillow if you have room! Quality teaching, very interesting classes.

We had to leave our new family, but my wife and I are very grateful to WPYS for making our week retreat unforgettable.

    3. The food was perfect thanks to the guys in the kitchen – fresh, light, nutritious, and tasty. They always asked us for our preferences.
    4. The location is also very nice with many small shops and places to eat and enjoy in Rishikesh. The Beatles ashram is just a 2.5km walking distance.
    5. The teachers are professional with a lot of knowledge to share. They are very friendly and helpful.

I feel so lucky and grateful to have met the passionate teachers who shared their knowledge with me. I also want to thank the kitchen staff for making me fall in love with Indian cuisine, the organizers who were with us on our outdoor excursions every Sunday, and everyone else who took care of us. Whether I met you or not, I appreciate you all. Namaste, I’m Crina from Romania!

I recommend improving communication with all students. Maybe update the FB page to provide notice. It’s a small change, but I think it would be helpful. I enjoyed everything else.

The course ended, and the students’ love for each other, the teachers’ love and commitment, and the magic of Laxman Juhla were all unforgettable. The warm, heartfelt smiles of the locals added to the charm. I would go back in a heartbeat, but the world is vast. If you’re unsure about booking this course, don’t be – it’s definitely worth it! Thanks for everything!

When I arrived, the driver took me to another place without notice. I really enjoyed the classes, the people, and the food. The ambiance was very nice.

I didn’t like the living conditions of the staff at the retreat. It’s something that really needs to change. They should be paid much better (considering the price we pay to go there) and given rooms with fewer people and AC. The energy of the people you meet at a yoga retreat is absolutely beautiful. I learned a lot from all my classmates and we were constantly sharing questions and positive energy. I changed both physically and mentally, becoming more flexible and learning to live in the present, which I love. India may not be the cleanest or most organized country, but with a good attitude, you can really enjoy it. It all depends on you. It’s an entire experience that I highly recommend. Thank you for this amazing experience.

When they delivered the rooms, several complained that there weren’t any bed linen or towels. The rooms looked just like the pictures, but they were not so clean and lacked towels and sheets. You asked about it and they were very nice, but everything was very grimy and heavily used. Everyone had to buy their own toilet paper. When you washed your clothes, it took forever for them to dry because there was no place to hang them and it was very uncomfortable to have that mess in the room. With those details sorted out, the stay would be wonderful. The teachers are really good, and it’s nice to connect with classmates from all over the world. The location of the school is great. The entire school staff are all very friendly in general.

My shower wasn’t working well and was freezing. But the rest of the room was fantastic! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff works hard to keep the school spotless. The food was beyond delicious with so many options. The teachers made learning fun and explained everything clearly. It’s obvious they genuinely care about our education.

The teachers at Work Peace Yoga School are very knowledgeable and are always open to any questions or doubts you may have. The food, prepared by a talented chef, is always delicious and ready for you to enjoy, with the added bonus of the chef being willing to accommodate your needs. The rooms are spacious, equipped with a good working fan and the option to add air conditioning. The staff is always ready to assist you, answer questions, and ensure you have the best experience possible.

The views from the common areas are absolutely breathtaking and definitely worth seeing. My journey at Work Peace Yoga School was amazing and I grew so much as a person. I came out with more knowledge and wisdom than I expected, and I felt blessed to be a part of the Work Peace Yoga School family.

However, many students experienced diarrhea while staying here, not sure if it’s due to adjusting to India or just a general food issue. The teachers teach with enthusiasm and embody a yogi lifestyle and mindset. They have created a stimulating environment that encourages the exchange of thoughts among students. I’ve learned a lot about myself and life during my time here. Additionally, they go beyond the official 200-hour requirement, teaching us about topics like Ayurveda (which I love!) and yoga therapy (usually covered in a 300-hour program).

Electricity kept going out constantly, but I was able to deal with it.

I was without water for days on end, and it was tough to get over, but I managed.

I slipped and fell on the stairs because there were no railings. When I told the staff about it, they just laughed and blamed the language barrier for not understanding. Unacceptable.

The lack of cleanliness in the kitchen made everyone sick. Unacceptable.

The rooms and bathrooms were filthy. Unacceptable.

There was no organization for the Sunday excursion, but I guess that’s just India for you.

There were more issues I could talk about, but I’d rather not go through it all again. On the bright side, the teachers were the only positive part of the experience.

I had to adjust to walking on Laxman Juhla bridge on the first day, with scooters, monkeys, cows, and people in a rush. But it’s all part of the experience, and now that I’m back, I miss it all. After getting used to the chaos on the streets, I discovered the magic of Rishikesh. The power of the river Ganga can be felt on the beaches, with its sound and energy making it truly divine. In the evening, the mountains surrounding Rishikesh look like black clouds against the grey sky, while the town echoes with prayers from the ashrams. The people here are amazing, not focused on money, but welcoming and spiritual. The yoga teachers are fantastic, highly skilled and able to help correct postures professionally. I can’t wait to go back.
