October 16, 2023 at 12:00 amThe teachers have very black and white views, and a healthy middle ground is rarely taught.
The whole house is dirty, the rooms had a lot of mold. Mushrooms grew in the bathroom.
Almost everyone got sick (viruses and dengue fever), but the school didn’t care and said it was due to the change in weather. I wished they took more responsibility, even towards the healthy students.
They took a lot of pictures for social media, and sometimes it felt more like a marketing event than an authentic experience.
Overall, it was an adventurous experience. If you’re not sensitive to dirt and mold and you’re looking for discipline and lots of rituals instead of relaxation, then this is the right place for you. The food is okay, easy to digest, but always very similar.
Helpful ReviewThe teachers are experienced and provide good instruction.
The sunrise hike to the mountains was very beautiful.
The group was international, and we had a very pleasant and harmonious time together.

May 16, 2023 at 12:00 amThere are a few incorrect pieces of information in the description. They don’t include a massage, meditating in a cave, and the start time is actually 5 am. We also didn’t have specific lessons on Tantra.
It’s important to note that if you do the 100H program, like I did, you will be with students doing the 200-hour program. This means you only have half of the total classes. For Kundalini, I only had lessons on 3 chakras out of a total of 7.
From my perspective, it’s not possible to become a Kundalini yoga teacher after this 100H training, even if the description says so or if you’re already a Yoga Teacher of other styles. This is because you only see half of the program and Kundalini is a complex practice.
Some of the teacher’s behavior can be a bit questionable, like texting during class or not being very involved in adjustments. They also sometimes leave the class early. However, overall, the teacher is good.
I have to say that I didn’t really trust most of the speeches given by the Guru. There was a sense of comparison between “us yogis” and “others” who aren’t seeking self-improvement and therefore aren’t as good as us. I didn’t feel inspired by his talks. Also, sometimes the 5 am meditation turned into a lecture on “how to sit” or “how to give a relaxation class”. At 5 am in the morning, my brain doesn’t want a lecture, no matter the topic. I completed the 100H Kundalini.
The teachers are very knowledgeable and mostly happy to share their experience and knowledge. I learned a lot and paid close attention in all the classes, despite the early wake-up. I will always remember the philosophy and Mantra classes with Mandeep Ji.
The Kundalini classes are intense and deeply moving. It’s more than just learning to be a Kundalini teacher–you will leave this place transformed.
The staff is overall very friendly, and the food is great. The location is fantastic, with a quiet street but all facilities within a 5-minute walk. You can even swim in the Ganga during lunch breaks, and there are hiking paths nearby.
You’ll definitely meet amazing people here! A big thank you for this incredible experience!

April 10, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t realize that I had booked both my 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher training at the same school. It ended up being quite intense spending two months in the same place with the same teachers, only one class different in the morning. Thankfully, the teachers are outstanding and I’m incredibly grateful for their knowledge.
My main criticism is that, even after completing 500 hours of “teacher training,” I don’t feel like a yoga teacher. There wasn’t enough practice and feedback. However, I did gain a lot of knowledge in areas like anatomy, philosophy, and pranayama. This course has inspired me to regularly practice yoga on my own, and maybe in the future, I’ll have the confidence to teach.
The course is challenging, with early mornings starting at 4:30 am and classes going until 8:30 pm for the 300-hour program. It’s mentally and physically intense. Sometimes the energy can feel overwhelming when you’re already pushed to your limits, but it’s all done with good intentions. The best thing about this school is definitely the teachers, who are incredibly knowledgeable about the body and how yoga affects both the mind and body. I’ll always remember their classes and have even recorded their chants and mantras to listen to when I need a reminder.
The food and kitchen staff were amazing, ensuring you never go hungry. The cleaning staff felt like family after the first month, and the reception staff worked tirelessly to keep things running smoothly. The rooms were what I expected, nothing luxurious but clean. Don’t come here expecting luxury, as this is still an Ashram despite the fancy photos.
Whenever I had an issue in class, I spoke to Hari Priya, who was kind, caring, and open to listening to my feedback. She made me feel heard and respected.
Throughout the course, we were introduced to various people and groups that the Guru knows, and we had interesting talks and performances to break up the schedule.
The excursions were lovely, although if you’re doing the 500-hour program, you’ll have the same excursions both months.

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI felt that some classes focused more on delivering an experience rather than teaching us how to properly teach a Kriya or Sadhana. I think it’s important to have both – giving students an experience, but also teaching them how to actually teach a Kriya class. There’s a big difference between a Yoga Retreat and a Yoga Teacher Training. When I signed up for the training, I expected to learn how to teach yoga afterwards. I would have liked more focus on teaching methodology, and many other students felt the same way.
The website clearly states that the teacher training includes ‘Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan’. In fact, that was the main reason I chose Kundalini Yoga Ashram over other schools. I thought it was the only traditional Kundalini course that also taught Yogi Bhajan Style Kundalini Yoga. However, none of the poses or Kriyas mentioned on the website were actually taught. I later found out that they chose not to teach them anymore. That’s fine, but they should update their information on the website. It’s the school’s responsibility to deliver the course as they advertise it.
I absolutely loved how passionate the teachers were. You could tell that they taught from the heart. It’s important for us students to see and feel their passion and dedication to what they teach. I’m grateful for their genuine interest in sharing the beautiful teachings of Yoga. I particularly enjoyed the Philosophy and Pranayama class with Mandeep Ji. He radiates like a star and is a real inspiration. The Kundalini Kriya classes with Praven Ji and Hari Priya were also transformative for me throughout the whole course.
The course provided a solid foundation and allowed me to connect what I’ve learned before. I was able to create a comprehensive system to build upon. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. I also appreciated the opportunity to visit a sacred temple and jump into the Ganga at 4am. An experience I’ll never forget.
I’m incredibly grateful for all the beautiful souls at Kundalini/Samadhi/World Peace. I have infinite gratitude and blessings for all of them.

January 30, 2023 at 12:00 amTalking negative is tough, but I have to share my perception in this review. One of the teachers in the hatha class was a problem for me. He would say that 90% of the effort should come from the students, but he would just sit on the couch, looking at his phone and giving instructions with his head in his hand. That was a complete turn-off for me! So I only attended three or four of his classes and skipped the rest. The class should be excited because of the teacher, not the other way around. His ego was just too much for me!
But overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The teachers were excellent, the location was nice, the food was awesome, and all the staff were very friendly. Plus, our group was truly the best!

September 26, 2020 at 12:00 amAt first, their Mikrophon sounded really bad and it was hard to understand them. But they fixed the problem and now they have new Mikrophons, so you can understand them well. Keep in mind, dear school, that sound is really important. I loved the 200h online training. The teachers are fantastic and I also want to take the 300h course.

August 26, 2020 at 12:00 amThe microphone or internet had some issues, but they had a team of experts on site to fix it. My experience with the Kundalini Yoga Ashram India was wonderful. The teachers have deep knowledge and experience of yoga based on vedas and ancestors, and they are really charming and kind. I enrolled in the 200 hours Kundalini Yoga teacher training in self-paced mode and it was amazing. I learned a lot and had an incredible experience. The training covers a wide range of topics that are important for teachers. Besides the recorded videos of classes, I also had the chance to interact with the teachers and ask questions about the training or any additional doubts. They were all open and eager to assist. I highly recommend this school. I found exactly what I was looking for and I plan on taking two more trainings with them. Thank you, Guruji Vishnu, and the teachers for sharing your knowledge with the world through on-site, online, and self-paced courses. Namaste.
