Are you looking to learn different techniques to naturally improve your health? Well, this retreat is perfect for you! We offer massage, sound healing, aroma psychology, yoga, and meditations, all aimed at helping you strengthen your health in a natural way.
In recent years, the importance of human health has reached new heights due to global transformation. As traditional medicine falls short, people are turning to ancient knowledge and wisdom for answers.
The best part is, this retreat is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or physical state. At Santhika Retreat Center, we understand that everyone is unique, which is why we provide a personal approach for each individual.
So, when can you join us? The program starts every Saturday or Sunday. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to enhance your well-being naturally!
The massage course offers you a chance to learn valuable skills and qualities like giving love, sharing energy, taking care of someone, and developing intuition and sensitivity. Even if massage doesn’t become your main profession, it’s always useful to know how to give a massage. In this course, you will learn how to perform a traditional Balinese relaxing massage. Balinese massage is a holistic treatment that combines gentle stretches, acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy to improve blood flow, oxygen, and energy throughout your body, promoting a sense of well-being, calmness, and deep relaxation. You’ll learn a variety of techniques, including skin rolling, kneading, stroking, and pressure-point stimulation, while enjoying the soothing scent of essential oils.
If you’re interested in the ancient art of sound therapy, the Sound Healing course is perfect for you. This powerful technique uses resonant vibrations to reduce stress and bring mental calm and relaxation. It’s a great addition to your yoga class! In this course, you’ll learn about the impact of sound on your brain frequency, explore different types of sound healing instruments, discover how to use them for deep relaxation and healing in both individual and group sessions, learn how to perform a sound massage correctly, and even learn how to use your voice along with instruments to help someone deeply relax and recover. You’ll also learn how to integrate sound healing instruments into Nidra yoga and savasana.
Immerse yourself in your inner world and uncover your hidden secrets with Aroma Psychology. This technique helps you understand your psycho-emotional state and provides a ready-made elixir for normalizing your physical and psychological health. If you often find yourself trapped in negative emotions, depression, irritability, or struggling to find your purpose in life, Aroma Psychology is for you. Through an aroma diagnostic, you’ll discover the essential oils that can help you break free from negative attitudes and open the path to a harmonious life. Essential oils have a profound impact on the limbic system of the brain, where difficult emotions and traumatic experiences are stored. By using the right scents, you can unlock these blockages and improve your health, relationships, and destiny. More than just a tool of self-discovery, Aroma Psychology allows you to communicate with your subconscious and soul, revealing the answers to hidden questions within yourself.
During the retreat, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in 3 workshops on Aroma Psychology, as well as enjoy 16 hours of Balinese Massage Course, 12 hours of Sound Healing Course, and 2 massage services. In addition, the program includes 3 excursions and cultural activities to make your retreat truly memorable.
Please note that the schedule provided is approximate and subject to change.
Get ready for exciting tours that will make you fall in love with Indonesia! Our retreat offers a variety of activities for you to enjoy. One highlight tour is to the secret and holy Santhipala Waterfall, where we will conduct a purification ceremony called Malukat. This ceremony aims to cleanse your body, mind, and spirit. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature, we will also practice meditation and indulge in a delicious lunch amidst the scenic rice fields of an organic farm.
Another fantastic tour we offer is the marine adventure, where you can snorkel in the dolphins’ area and explore the vibrant coral reefs. This unique experience is exclusive to the northern coast of Bali. We start the tour in the morning, just after sunrise, to avoid the crowds. Dolphins often come close to the boats during this time, providing an unforgettable encounter. Get ready to jump into the water and swim alongside these magnificent creatures!
Last but not least, we have a visit to the biggest Buddhist Temple in Bali, Brahma Vihara, known for its tranquil and meditative atmosphere. As soon as you step foot into this holy space, your racing mind will find peace. You’ll be amazed by the Pagoda, designed as a replica of the world’s largest Buddhist archeological site, Borobudur. After your spiritual journey, you can enjoy the nearby Holy Hot Springs for a soothing swim. These natural baths provide not just relaxation but also healing benefits for your body.
Join us for an unforgettable retreat filled with adventure, serenity, and spiritual growth.

January 1, 2024 at 12:00 amThere are no requirements as long as you have an open mind and can let go of the typical Western hotel amenities, you will have a great time. Just smile, be happy, and stay positive.
To sum it up, if you want to truly experience the local Bali, away from the Western commercialized areas like Ubud, Kuta, and Canggu, and you want a central location in North Bali to immerse yourself in the rainforest, beaches, surfing, snorkeling, diving, and local culture with options for yoga, meditation, and even learning Balinese massage, then this is the perfect place for you.
It’s also a great value retreat, but please understand that you will be living either in Dream Hill, the yoga retreat center, in the mountains without air conditioning, or in a local accommodation with AC, but not a typical luxury hotel. So, be fully prepared to embrace the local experience.

Et tous ces travaux bruyants et poussiéreux d’agrandissement… Les activités variées, la gentillesse et la bienveillance de tout le personnel et des intervenants… La rencontre et le partage avec les autres participants sont vraiment appréciables.

September 23, 2023 at 12:00 amThe accommodation had cockroaches, so I ended up eating most of my meals elsewhere since the food was only mediocre. The instructors’ level of professionalism and English skills weren’t up to par, so I resorted to doing my own workouts, yoga, and meditation most of the time. However, I must say that Novie, the main organizer, was absolutely amazing in terms of professionalism and dedication. She truly deserves a pay raise.

July 30, 2023 at 12:00 amThey accidentally charged me twice at check out, didn’t apologize, and were kind of curt with their response, but they did give the money back in the end. The location was amazing, the place itself was wonderful, and the staff were great.

July 27, 2023 at 12:00 amI had the pleasure of saying goodbye to all the lovely people I met there. The owner, a very creative and entertaining person, has built this amazing place from scratch. Together with his wife Ana, they have turned it into a soul healing heaven.
I really enjoyed my training courses with Mira, Ana, and Putu. Their meditations were truly amazing, especially Ari’s. She has a special way of connecting people and can even feel your energy. If you’re interested, she’ll give you a short insight into what she saw during meditation. Everyone was always excited for this part.
Yus, the driver, was like a personal assistant to all of us. Always happy and cheerful, he would greet us with a big smile and brighten up our day.
Guru Made was incredible at getting me into a deep state of relaxation. I loved his purification ritual and laughing meditations.
Ana is a wise woman who I learned so much from. Our conversations were always enlightening. Mira, with her gentle and caring energy, made me feel like I belonged. Marlina, Junie, and Nanda at Santhiku, as well as Putu at Dream Hill, were always thoughtful and helpful. They all made me feel right at home.
I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat. It truly was an amazing experience.

July 10, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m allergic to cats and there were cats roaming about, but the staff did their best to keep them away from me. They really went above and beyond to make everything from the area, accommodation, program, staff, organization, massages, yoga… you name it, to be top-notch. The highlight of this retreat was definitely Anna’s kindalini meditations, they were absolutely mind-blowing. And let me tell you, the extra activities and games were incredibly fun!

May 23, 2023 at 12:00 amThe stairs may be challenging, but people of all ages can still manage them.
The food got a little repetitive. The instructor took us through a range of activities to help us tap into our true potential. The off-site activities gave us a chance to explore Lovina and its surrounding areas.
I really can’t emphasize enough how highly I recommend this retreat for those seeking emotional healing and a path to wellness. There simply isn’t another yoga retreat in Bali that comes close to what it offers.

May 4, 2023 at 12:00 amThe yoga instructors at Dream Hill were amazing. The food on our dinner expedition was excellent, and my room at Lovina was inviting and pristine every day. The programme at Dream Hill was also fantastic and had a diverse range of activities. Ana’s classes were excellent, and she taught us with a real holistic approach, using effective therapeutic techniques. Thank you, Ana, for understanding your clients’ needs clearly. I definitely plan on coming back again.

April 23, 2023 at 12:00 amMy accommodation was just a shack called the tree house. It had huge cracks in the floor that looked down to the hillside below, and since there were no solid walls, it didn’t provide any sound proofing. The gecko would wake me up every so often, and the night porter’s throat clearing was just as loud. The cockerels would start their noise at 3am, which would then wake up the dogs, followed shortly after by the scooters and general noise of the village. Because of all this, I only got an average of 3 broken hours of sleep each night.
The itinerary was packed with trips, massages, and workshops, with no breaks in between. However, even if there were breaks, there was nowhere comfortable to sit anyway. The retreat was okay for 10 people, but with 18, there wasn’t enough space to practice yoga. The workshops felt never-ending. The organizers seemed to think it was some sort of accomplishment to take two days to complete a “Leela game,” which was basically a fancy version of snakes and ladders driven by dice!
I specifically asked for a private bathroom, but my basin was halfway up the stairs that guests used all day. When I complained, I was told I had to accept an extra workshop as compensation, which I couldn’t negotiate. Anna, the owner, claimed she knew nothing about my complaint, but her staff did change the soap and shampoo, which I had reported as having a smell similar to rotten socks.
We got to celebrate the full moon at a temple maintained by Anna’s husband, who asked for donations to keep the temple in good condition.
Considering the cost of this retreat compared to others on the island, it’s evident that the owners are driven by money rather than the well-being of their clients. The staff were very friendly and hardworking, but also overworked.
On a positive note, the yoga teacher was amazing. She moved gracefully, gave clear instructions, and was always encouraging.

April 18, 2023 at 12:00 amNiets Massage workshop was very informative; instructor Nadi was very patient and clear in her explanations. It requires a lot of work and memorization, but in the end, you can do it.
Yoga was an amazing experience with a great instructor. You can notice a significant improvement in flexibility within a week.
Meditation was truly special and impressive.
The food was healthy and delicious. By the end of the week, I even lost a few kilograms due to the activities and nutritious meals (a nice bonus!)
The service was friendly and attentive.

April 8, 2023 at 12:00 amThe food was pretty much the same, but it was not a big deal because I loved everything about the retreat. I stayed in the hotel for 8 nights, but I also spent a lot of time in the treehouse due to the yoga courses and various activities there. The view was incredible, and the people were wonderful. The dogs, cats, and bird were extremely friendly too. It was truly an enlightening journey with people who genuinely want to help you discover your best self, both physically and mentally. Plus, the retreat wasn’t just limited to its premises. We also got to explore the city, visit temples, try out other restaurants, witness breathtaking waterfalls, and enjoy the beach.

April 1, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely fell in love with the place and it made me fall in love with myself all over again! You wouldn’t believe how amazing and caring the team at the Santhika Retreat Center was – from the instructors to the staff, cooks, and support teams! I’ve traveled all over the world and have never felt so well taken care of, peaceful, and motivated by my surroundings. If I had to rate them on a scale of 0 to 10, I’d give them a solid 15! The management was also perfect – always flexible, supportive, and available 24/7! If you have the time and money, you have to go to the Santhika Retreat Center. You’ll come back with so much more than you ever expected. And let me tell you, I never write reviews! But this place is truly worth every ounce of time, energy, and effort you invest. Plus, the other guests were from all over the world and of different age groups, which made for such an exciting and enriching experience. We had stimulating conversations on the mat, during breaks, on field trips, and while enjoying meals together. So, seriously, why are you still reading this? It’s time to book your flight and make your reservation already!

March 12, 2023 at 12:00 amNature will make some noise in the evening, so if you’re a light sleeper, consider bringing ear plugs! This trip exceeded all my expectations. Most of the people here are travelling solo and they are incredibly friendly. They really open up and share their reasons for being on this retreat. The activities offered are absolutely fantastic and the schedule is packed with things to do. So, expect to be busy! However, if you prefer a quieter day, you don’t have to do everything on your itinerary. The food is amazing and really satisfying. The spiritual games are also really interesting and make you think about life back at home. The spa treatments are fantastic and the service is impeccable. The yoga instructor is perfect. They alternate the classes and work with you to customize the poses. Anna, the host, is an incredible lady. It’s inspiring to see how she has created and developed her dream here in Bali. This place is truly magical and everyone who comes here should be open-minded and ready to enjoy this unique experience. I’d rate it 10 out of 10!

Every time, I felt like I was being pulled towards Santhika Resort. Thankfully, I followed my instincts and I feel lucky to have experienced it. It was truly amazing, even beyond my expectations. The food, community, and location were all incredible. The activities were so intense and filled my entire day, providing a retreat for my mind and soul. February 14, 2023 at 12:00 amAt night, the fauna like geckos or frogs can make some noise, but it didn’t bother me much since I’m a light sleeper. Just remember to bring ear plugs, though, in case it’s an issue for you. The retreat is located in a very rural area with an amazing view. During the rain season, there aren’t many tourists around, which is nice. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the instructors are great. They offer energizing yoga sessions and stunning meditations. The overall vibe is fantastic and it feels very personal, not like a resort. The daily schedule is packed with awesome activities. You can choose from a variety of options like yoga, treatments, cultural immersion, hiking, sight-seeing, and games. If you’re someone who likes to go with the flow and fully embrace the experience, you’ll love the full schedule. It’s not mandatory to participate in everything, and the staff is open to some changes. However, if you prefer a lot of free time and freedom to choose your activities, this retreat may not be the best fit for you. Personally, I had a fantastic experience and even extended my stay for an extra day. I wish I could go back and experience it all over again. I highly recommend this place!

January 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved my stay at Dream Hill! The only thing I regret is not booking a longer stay. My body, mind, and spirit truly needed that time to unwind from work, reflect, focus on my health, and regain balance.
A friend suggested Dream Hill to me, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Even after a long flight from the UK, the retreat arranged a pick-up for me from the airport. The driver was punctual and friendly, and although it was a bit of a distance, it was definitely worth it to arrive in lovely Lovina Bali.
Dream Hill lives up to its name with its unique, quirky, and bohemian vibes. From its foundation to its interior, everything had a special touch. The workshops provided were amazing, and you could truly see the care, love, and thought put into every aspect of my stay. The three meals a day were absolutely delicious, and the yoga classes, meditation sessions, massage treatments, and trips were all top-notch.
I loved the arty signs and quotes displayed throughout the retreat. They always brought a smile to my face and served as gentle reminders and encouragement during my stay. The views from Dream Hill were breathtaking, and the nature surrounding the retreat was incredibly healing. The staff took such great care of me and were always happy to assist with anything I needed. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed, and it exceeded all my expectations.
The sounds of wildlife at Dream Hill were so relaxing. I found the croaking frogs and roosters in the morning to be wonderful additions to the serene atmosphere. The trips offered by the retreat were amazing, especially the ones to the stunning waterfalls. The spiritual games were also thought-provoking and provided plenty of food for thought. I can’t wait to come back and spend even more time at Dream Hill. It truly refreshed and boosted me, and it has motivated me to prioritize self-care and not neglect it due to work. With yoga, meditation, good food, and a calm environment, Dream Hill has provided me with exactly what I needed. Thank you to everyone involved!

November 14, 2022 at 12:00 amHey everyone reading this comment, I just wanted to say, don’t hesitate. I decided to go to the retreat to continue learning Meditation, as I had started a few months ago and while I was in Bali, I went to Dream Hill. It has been one of the best experiences of my life, it’s so much more than a Yoga and Meditation retreat, it’s transformative. It has been like a rebirth for me, a learning from within. Ana, Mira, and Rini, the responsible ones, apart from being amazing teachers, they care about each of the guests at this retreat. Dream Hill is a magical place, a complete immersion, pure and close to what Balinese culture and spirituality mean. It’s another way to see and feel life, with the incredible Gede Arimbawa leading the way. Every outing, activity is taken care of down to the last detail, complementing this complete retreat. And not to forget the rest of the team, they are like a family that makes you feel like you are a part of it all. Thank you all, I just hope to come back soon, to continue my personal growth with each of your teachings. I’m taking a piece of Bali with me. Thank you Shantika Center.

Anna, the organizer, clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into creating a schedule that works for everyone. She makes sure that you have everything you need during your stay. The only downside is the many steep stairs leading up to the place, but trust me, it’s totally worth the climb. Up there, you’ll find beautiful small details, an amazing view, and an awesome pool. September 28, 2022 at 12:00 amI absolutely adore the location of Dream Hill! The view is breathtaking and I can’t get enough of the infinity swimming pool that gives us a mesmerizing view of the sea from the mountain top. The outdoor and indoor baths and showers are fantastic, and I love the charming rustic features. The aqua colored doors and eclectic furniture add such a fun and unique touch to the place. And let’s not forget about the kundalini yoga, meditation, and Hatha yoga! They provide such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.
The remoteness of Dream Hill is an added bonus. It allows us to fully disconnect and escape from the bustling city life. Plus, the transportation options are convenient, making it easy to get around. But what really makes Dream Hill special is the sense of community and the like-minded individuals who visit. It’s so refreshing to be surrounded by people who share similar interests and perspectives.
Whenever I have to leave Dream Hill, a part of my heart stays behind. I am so grateful to Haridass for pouring his love into this place, making it a truly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much! ?

Ana has a talent for reading people and adapting to what they truly need from the class. She was also extremely helpful in organizing travel and trips. Charis also personalized Vinessa yoga to each of us. The classes were so rewarding, leaving me feeling relaxed and happy for the rest of the day. When you arrive, they give you a personalized schedule, and let me tell you, your days will be jam-packed. The excursions are absolutely incredible, and you’ll meet some really awesome people along the way. It’s amazing how quickly you can build strong bonds in such a short amount of time.
The staff here really go above and beyond to give you an authentic experience, especially Alan, if you’re lucky enough to have him on any of the excursions. And on top of all that, there’s also plenty of spa treatments included in the experience. I seriously can’t recommend this place enough!

February 14, 2020 at 12:00 am– During yoga, they don’t provide any personal attention. I haven’t seen them correct anyone all week, even though there were several beginners. The only exception was one session, which was only available on one program type, where we learned poses in more detail. It was great.
Helpful Review– The bedrooms and bathrooms have huge gaps that you can easily see through. We had to wear eye masks all night to sleep because of the excessive light coming in from outside.
– The day tours were great, but they didn’t give us important information. For example, saying “wear comfortable shoes” isn’t helpful. They should specify “wear or bring shoes suitable for hiking on slippery paths and walking through water.” Another example is during the dolphins boat tour, you can choose to go into the water and snorkel while hanging off the boat as it moves forward. It’s fun and increases your chances of seeing dolphins, but the water moves over you so quickly that it can rip off bikini bottoms. Why don’t they warn us to wear a one-piece bathing suit?
– If you stay at Dream Hill (the high location where yoga is done), you get free access to another hotel with a pool, but they don’t inform you about it.
– They don’t tell you about the option of having free fruit drinks.
– In the main area with yoga and rooms, many people have to share only 2 bathrooms. For one of them, you have to walk through a patch of rubble, usually barefoot.
– If you ask them about onward travel, they will book you an over-priced taxi and won’t mention the available shuttle in the beautiful location of Lovina.
– The yoga retreat offers a beautiful location, a nice yoga space, friendly local staff, good food, comfortable beds, and refreshing hot water showers. Plus, the included day trips are really great. Northern Bali is stunning, and it’s a wonderful experience to explore it with your yoga buddies and really get to know each other.

February 10, 2020 at 12:00 amWe didn’t arrange for a taxi on the last day, and it would have been great if it was included in the package, especially considering the distance to the airport. The staff was incredibly pleasant and amiable. I loved how well the food, outings, yoga sessions, and spa treatment all complemented each other; even the whole 98 steps added to this holistic approach.

January 29, 2020 at 12:00 amI had an amazing experience at Dream Hill! It truly inspired me in so many ways. I’m so thrilled that I had the opportunity to dive deep into Kundalini – it was an incredibly powerful experience. Now I’m even more motivated to incorporate this style into my own practice. Anna and Charis taught fantastic classes that perfectly complemented the environment. I also made some incredible friends that I know I’ll cherish for years to come. I really hope I can come back to this magical place soon. Thank you so much! ❤️

January 27, 2020 at 12:00 amThe accommodation at this place is really kitsch and has an amazing vibe. I really miss my quiet little spot on the balcony, where I could look over the homes below and listen to the birds, insects, and all the general activity happening while I relaxed and unwound. This entire experience has completely transformed my outlook on life. So, if you’re searching for a place to jumpstart change, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

January 15, 2020 at 12:00 amThe yoga/restaurant building has many very steep stairs. The cabins and most of the beds are small and not suitable for people over 6ft. The instructors are highly trained and caring. I really feel like my yoga practice has become stronger and more profound. The food was abundant and incredibly delicious. The building has a unique Balinese design that is quite quirky and offers breathtaking views. I had the pleasure of staying in a Gazebo with stunning views of the sea, it was truly lovely. The staff were caring and always ready to help. They also organized a variety of fantastic day trips, with the waterfall yoga day and the dolphin trip being particularly magical! I had the chance to meet some amazing people and I have many fond memories from the experience.

January 10, 2020 at 12:00 amThere were lots of mosquitos! Luckily, they sold a natural repellent. However, I decided to buy a stronger one that worked better for me. The best thing about this detox retreat was not having to constantly open my wallet. They include everything and there are no surprise costs. If you do want an extra spa treatment or to rent a scooter, it’s really cheap. I went with my brother, and neither of us had ever done yoga before. The instructor customized the class for each person. Personally, I found two yoga classes a day to be a bit overwhelming, so I only went to the morning ones and took some free time in the afternoons. The staff were all so attentive and friendly. Just a heads up, if stairs are an issue for you, this retreat might not be a good fit. But let me tell you, it’s totally worth the climb! The trip to the waterfalls and seeing dolphins were the absolute highlights for me. Plus, I have gluten allergies and there were also a few vegetarian guests, and the kitchen made sure to accommodate everyone’s dietary requirements. And I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing!

January 6, 2020 at 12:00 amAt night or in the early morning, the sounds from the neighboring village can get a bit loud, so remember to bring your earplugs. The showers don’t have hot water, but you’ll quickly adapt to it and won’t even miss it since it’s already warm/hot outside. The retreat, located on top of a hill, offers a stunning and magical view that will leave you in awe. It truly has a relaxing and spiritual atmosphere perfect for yoga and meditation. The friendly staff is always there to lend a hand and make your stay pleasant. The program offers a fantastic mix of Kundalini and Vinyasa Flow yoga, spa treatments, exciting tours around the area, and traditional Balinese activities, ensuring you’re never bored. Oh, and let’s not forget about the delicious food! You’ll enjoy a variety of local tropical fruit, refreshing smoothies, and tasty vegetarian dishes.

January 4, 2020 at 12:00 amThe place is really noisy in the morning. You’ve got roosters in the nearby village going off at 5 am, and from then on, it’s just a non-stop sound extravaganza. You’ve got the mosque, the cows, the dogs, and even music. It’s like they’ve got all the sounds you can imagine.
If you decide to stay at the yoga retreat, be prepared for a very basic accommodation. My tree house, even though it was sweet, had a bunch of holes in it, making it an open invitation for all kinds of insects to come in once I turned on the lights in the evening. Thankfully, the bed had a protection net that actually kept the bugs out of my sleeping area.
The management really needs to focus on cleaning. The yoga mats look pretty stained and worn out, and the spa bath is just dirty. I had to get out of there as soon as I saw that the walls were covered in other people’s hair and fat stains. Definitely not something you want to experience after enjoying an excellent massage. I mentioned it to one of the employees, but nothing was done about it. Also, the fans in the yoga area really need to be cleaned. I mean, it’s hard to find inner peace and self-balance when dry bug wings keep getting blown into your hair during your practice!
On the bright side, I absolutely loved the variety of people I met at the retreat. They were all so easy to talk to and connect with. Plus, the range of activities offered was excellent, and they tailor your schedule based on what you want. That’s awesome! I especially enjoyed doing yoga at the waterfalls – it was such a special experience. The teachers were also amazing, so passionate about yoga and they radiated such a positive vibe. And let me tell you, the massages at the spa center were absolutely impressive. You could tell the therapists were well-trained and really knew what they were doing.
But the best part was the staff at the retreat – they were just the sweetest! So attentive and helpful. I have to give a special shout-out to Marina, who was incredibly kind. Overall, it was a truly unique experience, and I’m really happy I decided to go for it.

January 3, 2020 at 12:00 amHey, just a quick tip – having some relaxing music during the massage would be really nice 🙂 I went to Santhika Dreamhill to find self-healing and peace and I wasn’t disappointed at all. They have daily kundalini yoga practices, awesome trips with great drivers, fun cultural activities, delicious home-cooked food and smoothies, incredibly friendly staff, a spa to die for, and of course, the cutest treehouse stay ever – all of it was absolutely exceptional! I highly recommend this yoga retreat to everyone, and I guarantee I’ll be coming back as a customer myself!

January 1, 2020 at 12:00 amThere was little to complain about during my stay. The water pressure and temperature in the morning were a bit of a problem, but it was probably beyond their control. Everything was really great. The list includes the yoga teachers who were helpful, committed, and highly experienced in a range of practices. I hope I nominated the right Anna earlier, although I’m not sure of her surname.
Some other highlights were the high quality of the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were interesting and varied, with tropical fruit smoothies made on the spot and tropical juices. The traditional Balinese decor was also lovely, and the itinerary was very well structured. I came alone but had the pleasure of meeting a delightful group. To top it all off, I received unexpected invitations to a Balinese wedding and the opening of a bar in Lovina. I’m sooo relaxed after my stay. Just wanted to say thanks!

December 31, 2019 at 12:00 amI have only one small criticism – my room stopped getting cleaned after the first couple of days of my stay and I’m not sure why.
There was also a bird nesting in my roof, which didn’t bother me, but it might not be great for those who don’t enjoy being up close with nature. You can also hear the roosters in the morning, but I actually enjoyed my 5am wake up calls 🙂
But overall, I really loved this retreat. I was looking for a place to relax and reconnect with myself, and that’s exactly what I got! I had never tried Kundalini yoga before, but I really enjoyed the meditative aspect of it. It always left me feeling calm and it was a great way to start and end my days.
If you’re not familiar with Kundalini, I would recommend googling it before signing up, as it is different from other forms of yoga and focuses a lot on meditation. They also offer an optional vinyasa class on some days (if it fits your schedule), but don’t expect Kundalini to be similar to Vinyasa!
The daily optional activities were also fantastic and a huge added bonus, especially the dolphin tour and waterfall trek. And the food that’s included is absolutely amazing! I loved that I could grab a snack or smoothie anytime during the day for free.
As for the different accommodation options, Dream Hill is great if you want to be in the middle of everything and have a more social experience. Santhika is the luxury option with larger rooms and air conditioners, perfect if you want your own space. Don’t worry about staying away from Dream Hill, as the staff is happy to drive you between the sites whenever you want during the day.
I absolutely loved my week at this retreat and I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you, Anna 🙂

December 31, 2019 at 12:00 amDid you know that the hot water only worked once for me? I was wondering if I was doing something wrong… But I gotta say, the friendly environment there was amazing! As soon as I arrived, they made me feel so welcome, like part of the family. And you won’t believe it, but they even taught us how to cook the fresh food they served. The accommodation was this tiny hut with incredible views, and honestly, I thought it was brilliant. It was clean and had a fan to keep me cool enough to sleep.
The Yoga classes were so well presented and the pace was just right. Charis was such a patient and understanding instructor, she really made me feel comfortable. Oh, and you should’ve seen the Kundalini Yoga! It was mind-blowing. Ana used it to help release deep emotional blocks, which I totally didn’t expect. But it was actually really helpful because it brought up some stuff that I didn’t even realize was bothering me.
The tours they took us on were a blast. We got to visit a few Temples, take a swim in the most incredible hot springs, and even explore some beautiful waterfalls in the area. I’ll never forget the time our driver, Radek, asked if we wanted some coffee and ended up taking us to a Balinese wedding! We got to take pictures with the stunning bride and had a blast eating their cake. We also visited this sacred place owned by a local family, and the spot overlooked a waterfall. We meditated there, which was blessed by Buddhist monks, and also went for a swim in the nearby pools.
We even had the chance to see dolphins and do some snorkeling amongst the coral. It was such an incredible experience!
But the best part was that we didn’t just do fun activities, we also learned so much. We learned how to cook, how to dance, and my yoga practice has improved so much and became a part of my daily routine. It truly was a wonderful experience, and one day, I hope I can go back and do it all over again.

December 6, 2019 at 12:00 amMy room is small, but it was enough for one person. The limited hot water supply may be a concern, and it would be great if they offered healthier food options in addition to the smoothies and tea.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the steps leading to the room or yoga area might be difficult for people with knee issues. But this place offers a wonderful getaway with professional yoga instructors, Anna and Charis. I had my first experience with Kundalini yoga and meditation, and it really sparked my interest to learn more about it.
The staff were all friendly and always made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel calm and peaceful. Special thanks to Made, Dave, Komang, Gede, Melina, and Iluh for taking care of us and arranging a wonderful surprise birthday celebration. November 27, 2019 at 12:00 amI was eagerly awaiting this trip! What a joy!
There were so many incredible visits and excursions offered, such as breathtaking waterfalls, temples, hot springs, dolphins, and coral reefs. We also had Kundalini yoga classes with Anna, meditations (one with a gong, another next to a waterfall, and all the others at Dream Hill), delicious meals, and a warm welcome from Anna and the locals at Dream Hill. The palm trees, banana trees, coffee, chocolate, mangoes, rice plantations, and more made me feel like I was in the Jungle Book!
Try to arrive at the airport in the morning because it’s a 3-hour drive, and book an evening flight for your return. On the way there, my driver stopped at a coffee and chocolate plantation for tourists, but I was the only one there. So I had the chance to appreciate the host’s explanations and enjoy coffee, chocolate, and tea. This little stop turned out to be quite nice.
At the bottom of Dream Hill, there’s a small village. I wasn’t bothered by the barking dogs (there were a lot) or the rooster’s crowing (also many). In fact, I found it exotic. But if you think it might bother you, you can ask to stay at Santhika, the other hotel that’s part of the retreat. Anna will drive you there for each yoga session.
I love Dream Hill’s recycling and repurposing of materials, the serenity, and the colors. I will definitely go back <3
Thank you, Anna, and your team, for everything!

The location is beautiful, with the spa situated on Santhika, a different location from the retreat center. You’ll love spending time at Santhika and Dreamhill itself truly lives up to its name. Perched on a hill, about 99 steps up, the views and the open layout of the rooms create a dreamlike atmosphere.
The day activities are fantastic and offer a perfect variety. Every evening after dinner, there’s always something happening – Balinese dance, massage workshops, and more. The spa treatments are also top-notch. Meeting people from all over the world made the trip extra special, not to mention the incredibly attentive staff at Dreamhill and Santhika. The fresh food, smoothies, and drinks are delicious. If you want to explore the town or hit the beach, just let the staff know and they’ll arrange a ride for you. You can also easily change or add something to your program. This week exceeded my expectations, all thanks to Anna and the wonderful staff!

August 12, 2019 at 12:00 amWho can complain after the most amazing experience? At 58 years old and not a regular yogi, I found it very challenging, especially the 99 steps up. The meditation was unbelievable, clearing a lot of old emotions. The gong meditation was a surreal experience, from the day trips to the night time activities. But most of all, the beautiful group of girls from all over the world included me in everything, made me laugh again, and looked after me. And let’s not forget the amazing staff who looked after us for the week, they were truly special people. Thank you, Anna, for what you created.

July 31, 2019 at 12:00 amIf you’re into vinyasa, kundalini, stunning views, making new friends, exciting activities, tasty meals, and an unforgettable experience, this is the spot for you. I spent seven days and six nights at Dreamhill and I highly recommend it to everyone. Each day is unique and exciting here.
Anna, our incredibly knowledgeable instructor, led the Kundalini yoga classes for the first time. It was a great introduction for me, and it complemented the Vinyasa sessions perfectly. This practice helps keep your mind, body, and spirit in harmony.
I loved every minute of my time here and can’t wait to come back to this beautiful place.

July 30, 2019 at 12:00 amJust a quick note: The retreat has different locations. I thought I’d be staying where the yoga lessons, massages, and activities would take place, but that wasn’t the case. I went to the main area, Santhika, first and then found out my accommodation was in another hostel, with the yoga lessons at yet another hostel. It was a bit confusing at first, and I wish I had known beforehand. They transport you between the locations, which is included. Your accommodation depends on the package you book.
One highlight of the yoga retreat for me was the amazing Kundalini yoga teacher, Anna. Her classes really resonated with me and helped me deepen my practice on a conscious level. The combination of Kundalini Yoga with Vinyasa Yoga from Veronika was great – suitable for all levels. I skipped the touristy day trips but heard good things from those who went. I did enjoy the Balinese evening activities, which were a nice touch. I also treated myself to a healing massage, which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the locations were stylish and unique to my taste.

July 24, 2019 at 12:00 amVeronika’s morning classes gently prepare you for the day, teaching with a loving strength that everyone enjoys. Starting the day with her is the best way to begin. My first morning included practicing sun salutations at the waterfalls, something I never imagined I would have the chance to do. The sound of the water was so soothing, and back at dream hill, you’re surrounded by beautiful scenery and the sounds of animals. Veronika not only teaches us how and why to do things but also takes the time to get to know us, which shines through in her yoga sessions. Both Anna and Veronika work together seamlessly. The retreat truly is a gift you deserve to give yourself. The organizers are thoughtful and mindful, values that I now want to embody in my own life. Anna’s teachings bring awareness to your inner self, and over the 7 days, I discovered blocks I wasn’t even aware of. Each day’s tours, like temple and waterfall visits, beautifully connect with the evening classes. Kundalini yoga is tough and pushes your limits, challenging your determination. Each day presents new obstacles to overcome, but it’s liberating to know that it’s all within your control. I feel thankful and eager to continue practicing.

July 22, 2019 at 12:00 amI found it hard to sum up this experience honestly. I just completed the 7 day detox vinyasa and kundalini retreat, and I highly recommend it. Spending 7 days here really allows you to relax and fully immerse yourself in the activities and environment. I was able to strengthen my yoga and meditation practice, as well as gain self awareness and reflect on myself. Anna and Veronika, along with the wonderful staff from Dream Hill and Santhika, provide a safe space to explore yourself away from your everyday life. Even though I often stepped out of my comfort zone, I enjoyed every moment of it. My advice is to go in with an intention to say YES to every opportunity.
Helpful ReviewI booked a private single room, which was fantastic- it’s small but has an amazing view. I agree with others who mentioned bringing earplugs- the city noise can be quite loud. During my stay, I was the only solo traveler, but there were others coming and going at different times, so you get to meet new people and make connections as the retreat progresses.
I also recommend doing a bit of reading on kundalini yoga and the chakra system before you arrive. I did this and it helped me ease into the experience right away. You can choose how much you want to engage with the practices, and I’m glad I fully embraced it. I feel rejuvenated and full of life now.
Thank you for everything!

July 14, 2019 at 12:00 amJust some things to keep in mind instead of dislikes:
Helpful Review– Lovina can get pretty loud at night with roosters, bikes, and a 5am call to prayer, so make sure to pack your earplugs for some good sleep.
– The stairs to reach Dream Hill can be a bit of a challenge, especially for those with injuries. But despite that, Santhika and Dream Hill are fantastic places to enhance your yoga practice, unwind, recharge, and just have a wonderful time.
– Anna and Veronika are amazing instructors who will support and guide you through your practice. The entire staff is super welcoming, kind, and always ready to go the extra mile for you.
– This retreat offers some great inclusions, like 2 1/2 hours of yoga daily (4 if you do Vinyasa too), excursions to waterfalls, hot springs, temples, dolphin swims, and about 6 hours of spa treatments. Plus, there’s delicious food and drinks. The value for money is outstanding considering how much is included.
– I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to discover Lovina, practice yoga with exceptional teachers, and relax your mind, strengthen your body, and nourish your soul.

July 12, 2019 at 12:00 amI found the location of the yoga retreat concerning, and the stairs leading to the top didn’t seem safe. I eventually got used to them, but they could be problematic for someone with knee issues. I think they should have mentioned this before booking, along with the schedule, activities, yoga classes, and excursions.

July 1, 2019 at 12:00 amThe toilet smells a bit and the wifi internet isn’t too stable. People and stuff here are amazing, I can totally feel the love. Anna patiently taught me how to improve and open my heart center through breathing exercises. She’s like a life coach, sharing daily life experiences and giving advice on my journey. After 7 days, my body feels light and I can easily do yoga poses with correct breathing.
Veronika supported me as I worked towards the Crow pose, and with her help, I finally achieved it! The staff is nice and the food is amazing. They are quick to support you when you ask for help.
The environment is on a hill with a clear view of the seaside, a relaxing hidden gem. I wake up with the animals every day, making it a perfect place for meditation. The schedule they planned for me was well-organized, including local tours, cultural experiences, and good massages.

July 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed the mix of kundalini and vinyasa yoga they offered at the retreat. They didn’t have a specific theme, but they tailored the classes to us. Both instructors ate meals with us after class, which made it feel more personal. The staff at Santhika were so welcoming, they made us feel like part of the family. The included sightseeing activities kept us busy during the day, but we had some free time in the afternoons when we needed to wind down.

June 17, 2019 at 12:00 amI obviously loved everything about it. The stairs were a bit of a challenge, but to me, it felt like a metaphor for life’s struggles. It’s all about how we handle those struggles, right? From the moment I got there, I felt like I had stepped into a magical place. The cozy rooms, delicious meals, expert guidance, and genuine care from Anna, Veronika, and the staff made it one of the best experiences of my life. Anna and Veronika are like yoga and meditation wizards – they just get it. I had so many eye-opening moments and deep conversations with the amazing people I met there. I even got to shower under the stars! I bought a wooden soup bowl as a reminder to eat mindfully. Thanks, Anna and Veronika, for your wise words and kindness. It was an unforgettable experience – if you’re open to it. I’m still on the hunt for a yoga teacher back home in Australia. Seriously, I can’t recommend this program enough. It’s perfect for anyone going through a tough time or just in need of a reset. Plus, it’s a great mix of fitness, mental growth, and culture.

June 4, 2019 at 12:00 amThe staff at Santhika B&B is very friendly, but they don’t always follow through with everything (like turning off the air conditioning in your room). You may have to ask for services like drinks and food that are supposed to be included. The bedding is a bit traditional with beds that are only 130 or 140 cm wide and no top sheet, just a scratchy little blanket. If there’s no water or hot water, make sure to ask about it – the water pump might be disconnected or the gas bottle for the water heater might be empty. Both places have nice, colorful traditional architecture (Santhika Bed and Breakfast even has a small pool in the garden) – I stayed at the one 1 km away from the center and the sea, and at Dream Hill, which is perched on an amazing hilltop with treehouse-style structures overlooking the bay, 2 km from the center and the sea. I was very warmly welcomed and had personalized yoga classes tailored to my needs (I’m a 61-year-old woman who had never done yoga before and didn’t have much physical activity). Anna and Véronika were very pleasant and gave great advice for the future – thank you so much for everything (including the transfer to my other hotel in Lovina before my flight)!

May 27, 2019 at 12:00 amThe stairs at Dream Hill are a challenge, but you’ll get used to them. Ask Anna for a mantra to help you climb them. 😉 It took me a few weeks to figure out how to write this review because words can’t fully capture my incredible experience with Anna and the Santhika/Dream Hill team. The 7-day detox program pushed me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually like never before. Bali’s amazing energy, combined with sunrise Pranayama and evening Kundalini classes, envelops you in boundless possibilities for your body and mind. If you choose this program – which I highly recommend – be prepared to invest in yourself and trust the process. It won’t be easy, but you’ll be glad you did. Anna is a fantastic guide who will safely push you beyond your limits. Keep an open mind, let go of expectations, and surrender to the journey. Santhika/Dream Hill is a truly special place that I’ll visit again and again. The trekking, food, and adventures are top-notch, and the staff and fellow travelers feel like family. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe. So what are you waiting for? Just book it already. I promise, you’ll be smitten.

May 13, 2019 at 12:00 amI wouldn’t say that I disliked the yoga, I just wasn’t expecting how meditative based it was going to be. It was hard work mentally, but it was definitely something that I needed. Just be prepared to put the work in. The retreat was wonderful and just what I needed. The food was good, the beds were comfy, and there were hot showers (not that you need a “hot” shower). It was really just a lovely experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. Anna is very accommodating and helpful. I loved that everything was planned and ready to go, but I never felt rushed. And the scenery was next level amazing for me.

May 11, 2019 at 12:00 amWe would only suggest one improvement for our amazing day at the Santhinka Dream Hill couples retreat: it would’ve been nice to spread out the activities a bit more. But overall, my boyfriend and I had a magical time! We felt like we were on our Honeymoon! The dolphin experience was especially incredible. The captain, who was very friendly and laid back, provided us with breakfast, romantic music, hammocks, and up-close views of spinner dolphins. The King and Queen massages were also enjoyable, but the full-body scrub and romantic bath with flower petals really stood out. Veronika did a fantastic job leading us through couples yoga, making us feel comfortable and open. And the romantic dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day, with candles and flower petals leading the way to a delicious traditional feast. There were plenty more wonderful experiences throughout our trip that I won’t spoil for you, but I have to say, I rarely recommend places – but this trip was a definite 10 out of 10!

May 10, 2019 at 12:00 amI had no disappointments at all. The price of this retreat offers so much. My stay at Dream Hill, a “quirky unique wooden hotel”, was definitely one of the highlights. Anna and Veronica customized the 3 possible yoga classes, Pranayama and Kundalini, and Vinyasa for my experience level and deepened them as the week went on. The warm and friendly staff deliciously prepared food on request, and Anna’s organized touring and spa program were amazing. It was my first time in Bali, and I felt right at home and well cared for. The roosters and dogs in the village below were an added bonus, helping me start each beautiful day early. This retreat was just perfect for me. I left feeling empowered and refreshed, and sad to leave such beautiful people.

May 6, 2019 at 12:00 amI had an amazing experience at Santhika/Dream Hill that was pretty life-changing for me. I usually don’t write reviews, but I just had to share this. Veronika was also an inspiring teacher during my stay. The food was awesome and all the staff treated us like family. The environment wasn’t too commercialized, which was great. May 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t enjoy the Kundalini yoga class. It was my first time trying this style and I found Anna to be intimidating during the morning and afternoon sessions. Normally, my yoga instructors are supportive and encourage listening to your body, but Anna kept telling me to push through the pain. I’m sure others who practice Kundalini may enjoy it, but if I had the choice, I would have signed up for vinyasa instead.
On the bright side, I absolutely loved my tree house at Dream Hill. The view, the staff, the crazy steep stairs, the day trips with Kadek to his village, the waterfalls, and even swimming with dolphins were all amazing experiences. The open-minded and lovely people I met were a highlight, as well as the massages and the kind and helpful staff. Vinyasa yoga in the mornings was a real treat, thanks to Veronika’s support and guidance as a great instructor.

April 21, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t have any disappointments here. I could have done without the stairs at Dream Hill and the dog barking all night. But I turned these obstacles into metaphors for my own state of being. The dog’s barking symbolized the voices in my mind that never quiet down, while the Stairs at Dream Hill represented the daily struggle. I didn’t just like this place… I loved it. From Ana, Veronika, and all the staff to my darling Ketut and little Nana Ninja (you must try her Balinese healing massages).
This place is full of heart and soul. I came here seeking something undefined but returned with something crucial for my growth – I rediscovered my heartwarming smile.
I couldn’t do much yoga or meditation due to a massive knot in my calves from the stairs at Dream Hill on the first day. But the way the trip was organized allowed me to explore so much of north Bali and truly fall in love with the region.

April 18, 2019 at 12:00 amTime flies too fast in Santhika… ! What a retreat !!! I can still feel the bliss of being there. The place is absolutely amazing and beautiful. You can feel secure, extraordinary yourself, and well guided through this retreat.
I discovered Vinyasa yoga with Veronika and couldn’t dream of a better teacher to begin with. She is very attentive and professional. Every day was different so I could experience so many different ways of considering yoga – postures, breathing, meditation, magic words – and body.
Kundalini in the evening with Anna was such an experiment! It was challenging and inner, I never thought I could go so deep into meditation. The gong session was the cherry on the cake, incredibly inward! Thank you so much Anna for these moments of connection and what you put into your classes.
Finally, excursions are beautiful, food is delightful, women and men working there are so kind and attentive, and the spa was amazing! Thank you for the wonderful experience at Santhika.

March 30, 2019 at 12:00 amI loved doing this again – it was so lovely. One thing to note is that people in Bali are very laid back, so if you need to be somewhere on time (like for yoga in my case), make sure to let your tour guide know. Ours got caught up in showing us around and encouraged us to relax at our stops, but then we ended up an hour and a half late. The next time, I made sure to mention I needed to be back for class, and we returned on time.
The food and service provided by Anna and her staff were amazing. They genuinely care about why you’re here and want to help you on your journey. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by all we got to see and do. The staff offers excellent food and spa services and are really accommodating.

March 21, 2019 at 12:00 amI loved everything about this retreat and will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. I plan to book this retreat again in the future. My stay was truly spiritual and healing. The yoga practices focused mainly on Kundalini Yoga, which was new to me, but I found it very beneficial for controlling energy through breathwork and pranayamas. It really awakened something within me, and I’ll definitely be incorporating Kundalini Yoga into my regular routine. Huge thanks to Anna for that! The Vinyasa sessions with Veronika were absolutely magical and helped me release so much tension from my body. I felt so alive and energized after each session. Thank you, Veronika, for your amazing energy. The spa treatments were incredible, and the excursions to waterfalls, temples, and dolphin watching were so enjoyable. February 25, 2019 at 12:00 amI left the retreat feeling fabulous after a warm welcome. As a solo traveler who arrived late in the evening, I was pleasantly surprised when a meal was delivered to my accommodation just a few hundred yards away. Everyone at the retreat was happy and helpful without being intrusive, making it feel like a home away from home with added peace and tranquility.
The yoga sessions were excellent. Despite being a beginner with creaky joints at the age of 55, Anna was able to pitch the classes perfectly for me. I am now continuing with Kundalini yoga at home, as it delivered everything I had hoped for in terms of mindfulness and wellbeing. During one meditation session, I had a strong spiritual experience that left me feeling uplifted and opened my mind in a way I had never experienced before.
Anna is truly amazing and has a great intuition for tailoring each guest’s experience. Although I am not typically one to write reviews, I strongly recommend visiting this retreat. The relaxation and spa facilities alone are worth the trip, and the yoga is like the icing on the cake. Additionally, Anna can help arrange local trips to places like the thermal spa, dolphin watching, and bathing in a local waterfall, all of which offer stunning scenery and a chance to visit paddy fields.
In summary, my time at the retreat was a total joy and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

February 14, 2019 at 12:00 amAs new yogis to Kundalini yoga, we wished for more explanation of the various poses and theory. Leading up to this trip, the Santhinka staff responded quickly to any questions we had. Due to bad weather, my cousin and I missed our connecting flight, but when we contacted Santhinka retreat and asked to shift our retreat by one day, they happily accommodated our request. Upon arrival in Depasar, we easily spotted our driver holding a sign with our names. After a pleasant two-hour ride in a nice van, we reached the retreat.
Anna, our host, welcomed us with a refreshing iced tea, fruit plate, and a fantastic itinerary for the next three days. The excursions she planned were unique, local, and led by top-notch guides. On our first day, we visited a temple and hot springs, with our guide allowing us to enjoy each location without any time constraints.
The spa treatments were relaxing and thorough, and our room was clean, nicely decorated, and air-conditioned. The bathroom had a fun, nature-inspired design with living plants that connected the indoors with the outdoors. The staff and hosts were kind, accommodating, and enjoyable to be around.
And the food? Absolutely delicious!

January 6, 2019 at 12:00 amThe staff at the center are excellent, yoga is wonderful, and spar treatments are divine. The 7-day wellness program includes all of the above, plus three tours and all meals. It’s a great value for money, especially for solo travelers.
Anna, an excellent and gifted yoga teacher, offers deep healing through her practice. I highly recommend her. The center itself is idyllic and located in a lovely, quiet area, perfect for relaxation. It’s also great for solo travelers.
I recommend the 7-day yoga and wellness package. It’s a great value for money, with three tours included. All meals are provided, and there are incredible spa treatments every day that leave you feeling relaxed.
The center is situated in the north of Bali, so be aware that it’s a 4-hour transfer from the airport. You can book a taxi or a shuttle bus, and the drive is actually quite relaxing if you’re up for it. The north of Bali is beautiful, so it’s worth the trip. Anna and her staff organized all my transfers and took care of anything I needed.
The staff are lovely and willing to help with anything you need. I stayed in a private room that was unique and cleaned daily. It’s quieter in the private rooms, so if you prefer peace, I would recommend it. They also come with air conditioning, which is great if you struggle with heat.
Other forms of accommodation are available, but because the center is small, it can be noisy in certain areas depending on the occupancy. A friend of mine stayed in a tent and found it quite noisy. Personally, I didn’t hear much in my room.
I highly recommend this center.

July 31, 2018 at 12:00 amThe different noises that might wake you up in the middle of the night are a rooster crowing and dogs barking. My stay at Santhika was amazing. I booked a private room for 11 days, and it was quite spacious with a lovely outdoor-style bathroom. The food was healthy, usually cooked with coconut oil, and guests could choose from a diverse menu. There were also opportunities to try delicious Balinese cuisine.
The yoga classes were held in a nice atmosphere with music and incense. Each day, we did different asanas and meditation exercises to work on every part of the body during the retreat. We even got to practice at another villa on the beach just before sunset, which was a magical experience.
During the retreat, we enjoyed three spa sessions with Balinese style massages, scrubs, facials, hair treatments, and flower baths. It was a dreamy experience. We also went on two excursions to waterfalls to explore the inner Bali and a dolphin-watching tour on Lovina beach. The guides were very organized and always made sure we were comfortable, with small touches like breakfast on the boat and clay masks in the river.
Anna and her staff at Santhika were always lovely and ready to help or offer advice for any requests. Thank you once again for this fantastic experience. I’m already planning my next visit!

July 30, 2018 at 12:00 amThis B&B has a special, very authentic character that makes it stand out. It’s a cosy and charming place to stay. Anna really takes good care of all her customers and she teaches kundalini yoga lessons really well. The massages and food are also top-notch. Located in a quiet area, you can often hear dogs barking and chickens in the morning. It’s the perfect spot for interesting excursions.

July 13, 2018 at 12:00 amEveryone greeted us warmly, respectfully, and in a friendly manner.
Helpful ReviewI had a wonderful experience doing yoga with Anna, and I felt amazing when I left the retreat.
The spa treatments and tours they arranged for us were just perfect!
I adore the fact that it’s in the North of Bali – I’ve never been there before, and it’s so peaceful and authentic.

June 25, 2018 at 12:00 amI loved the beautiful atmosphere at the resort. It’s small but cozy, giving you a warm feeling even if you’re traveling alone. I enjoyed the option of staying in the hostel and joining the yoga retreat. You can also take different tours during your stay to see incredible waterfalls, rice fields, and the stunning Bali nature. The food was delicious and you can choose whatever you like. The drinks are unlimited throughout your stay. The location is very convenient, just a 15-minute walk to the beach. This place is perfect for solo travelers or couples. I can’t wait to visit again and I have to mention the friendly owners and staff who really take care of their guests.

June 5, 2018 at 12:00 amAnna’s kundalini yoga and meditation classes were flawless. She is a force of nature, generously sharing her gifts with me. She personalized the kriyas and encouraged me to indulge in special spa sessions, which I later realized were part of a valuable learning experience. The location is an oasis, with the Villa boasting the most beautiful orange sky sunset I have ever seen. Eternal gratitude to Anna

May 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI thought Santhika was very noisy. Dogs bark and roosters crow all night long, and there’s a generator near the kitchen that makes a loud, irregular noise around the clock. The owner’s adorable 2-year-old cries a lot, adding to the noise. Some guests don’t join the yoga classes, and those who do sometimes talk loudly outside the yoga space, even during class. I wished there were more choices of yoga styles, as I found kundalini to be just okay and wanted more variety. There isn’t much to do within walking distance, but everything you need is on site. I really enjoyed the two spa treatments I had and liked the overall atmosphere. I came to appreciate kundalini yoga and liked the attention and care I received from Anna and the staff. The outings and activities were great, and I enjoyed being able to walk to the beach.

April 22, 2018 at 12:00 amThe cockerels can be a bit of a challenge at 4am, but other than that, everything was perfect! Santhika was wonderful. Anna greeted us upon our arrival after a comfortable airport transfer (even at 3.30am). Our rooms had beautiful double beds, amazing bathrooms, and lovely gardens around them. The staff at Santhika were all smiling and friendly, and they took care of everything we needed.
During our 7-day retreat, we enjoyed a great mix of yoga, relaxation, delicious food, exploring Northern Bali, and amazing massages. Anna led the Kundalini yoga sessions, pushing us to break our own boundaries and discover new limits.

December 23, 2017 at 12:00 amNothing. I felt welcome and like part of the family at Santhika, a small paradise. Anna, her family, and the staff are amazing. It’s a cute little place to escape the outside world.
If I had known it was Kundalini yoga on bookyogaretreat, I wouldn’t have booked it, but I’m so happy I did! I didn’t like Kundalini before, but with Anna, it’s awesome! You can trust Anna and feel completely safe with her. She has a wealth of knowledge and truly helps you feel comfortable and good.
All my trips were fantastic and not touristy. The massages were heavenly, and the food the girls cooked was delicious. 🙂
