The rooms at this location were great, but the neighbours could be noisy because the sound travels in this beautiful spot. There was a very social vibe, the food was outstanding, and they offered a good variety of classes for everyone. We enjoyed the steam room and cold plunge. We also explored the island by hiring a scooter from the resort. Checkin and checkout, as well as pickup and drop off to the ferry terminal, were seamless. There were lots of different nationalities, singles, couples, and groups. They kept everything clean and sent lots of water to the rooms.

The classes brimmed with students, making it uncomfortable as you constantly bumped into the people around you in every position. I chose to skip some classes and instead relax by myself for a more positive experience. Some of the teachers were just laughable. For example, Nadja gave off a bad vibe by never saying hi, getting defensive when asked questions, and constantly promoting another retreat. It was odd that she recommended a different retreat when we all came here for the same purpose and paid to be here. Plus, she spent a lot of time smoking outside which didn’t give a great impression. Despite that, I enjoyed the location and the food. The facilities were fantastic, except for the pervasive smell of waste around the houses which made it hard to fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The location feels like the edge of the world – it’s amazing. Sometimes it can be challenging because the nearest village is a bit far and you’ll need to take a taxi (or drive a scooter). Taxis are pricey, as is the case on all Thai islands.

When you book, I recommend opting for a private accommodation. The dorms are usually crowded with 5-6 people sharing a small space, and the center is always busy. So, if you want some privacy, a private room is your best bet. This could be one of the most incredible retreats ever! Nestled in the lush forest, Wonderland provides top-notch facilities – always clean and very comfortable, including a fantastic pool, sauna, and spa. The food is a real standout – the most delicious vegan dishes you can imagine.

The instructors are highly professional, offering various levels and styles of yoga and meditation. The place truly lives up to its name – it’s truly a Wonderland and a healing space for anyone in search of peace, connection, and tranquility.

If you stay longer than a week, some workshops will repeat slightly. It would be awesome to see some changes in the schedule or add something different. You can also choose to repeat activities you really enjoyed or take a break and relax. I originally planned to stay at Wonderland for 7 days, but ended up extending my stay by 4 days. It’s a truly magical place where you can attend up to 6 workshops a day, enjoy the pool and sauna, and connect with wonderful people. The instructors are all amazing and some are truly inspiring. I opted for a private room, which was fantastic. The room was cleaned daily and I always had enough water. The food is incredible and I even had the best falafel ever! I wish I could have stayed longer, but I will definitely be back.

The resort filled up quickly during my stay. The yoga classes became packed, making it hard to move without bumping into someone. There were times when we even ran out of mats and pillows. Despite that, people continue to return to this place time and time again.

I, being a yoga beginner, never felt lost thanks to the teachers who offered variations for every pose. My week there was absolutely perfect, and I learned a lot about yoga and myself.

I enjoyed the variety of classes offered throughout the day including yoga, meditation, and lectures. The dorm I stayed in was immaculately clean and cozy.

The food was delicious, and I always looked forward to dinner. There were plenty of communal areas to socialize and relax in, as well as spaces to be alone if needed.

One thing I really appreciated was the water refill stations, eliminating the need for plastic bottles.

The meal schedules are from 9am to 1pm for breakfast and lunch, and dinner is from 6 to 8pm. As a suggestion, I would extend the hours by one more hour in both cases. I would also add one more class between 12pm and 3pm, as there was usually nothing during that time. There is a wide variety of classes, from aromatherapy, sound healing, vipassana meditation, loving and kindness meditation, hatha yoga, and more. The food was delicious. The decoration is beautiful and everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The teachers are very professional. The rooms are cleaned every day.

It’s so busy and crowded here, it feels more like a resort with classes than a retreat. The atmosphere is clicky and not very friendly like most retreats. Your yoga won’t get better since the teachers don’t give feedback or guidance, but the classes are still enjoyable. The teachers and the western staff could be warmer and friendlier! The food is amazing, there are plenty of classes each day, and the whole place looks stunning!

I had an issue with the general quality of the yoga classes. Out of the 14 classes I took, only 3 were taught by top-notch instructors. Most instructors would guide people into poses but didn’t explain how to properly hold the pose or offer many cues on anatomy or breathing. It was hard to stay focused and be present. I wanted the instructors to pay more attention to us, but they would just demonstrate the pose and hold it themselves the whole time. As a certified yoga instructor myself, it felt lacking in engagement and energy.

I only received one assist the whole week, and it was when a teacher touched me without asking for permission. Some reviews label the classes as beginner style, but beginner classes actually need more cues to ensure the pose is done correctly. I wish Wonderland had higher standards for class quality, with instructors like Amber or Raj teaching more frequently. Ewa’s Reiki session was amazing, the food was great, and Raj’s Kundalini and Amber’s Flow classes were outstanding. I also enjoyed David’s Hatha stretch and Nadja’s meditation. All the specials were a must-try for me, and I left with a wonderful spiritual experience. The staff was fantastic, and the sauna was a nice touch.

Overall, I had a great time at the retreat and would definitely do it again. The meditations and specials were absolutely worth it. I do miss the pool though!

You couldn’t really go anywhere on foot, though technically you could, but it would’ve been a bit of a stretch. I wish the retreat would offer a shuttle to the town and back at least once a day for people who need to do some shopping or something. The massage was great, but a little pricey. I loved all the different options for yoga and meditation lessons.

The food was heavenly. Thank you for the variety.

One instructor conducted the healing class really well, and I believe she makes a better mindfulness coach than a yoga/pilates instructor. I was unfortunately disappointed by the lack of harmony in the class and the pilates flow sequence was way off. For example, we started with pilates 100s before anything else, and breath wasn’t even mentioned…

On top of that, another girl in my dorm and I got food poisoning from dinner. It was a real downer, but it seemed we were the only ones affected. Despite that, the place is lovely and great for relaxing. The staff is friendly and you get to meet new people.

Interestingly, none of the three instructors I wanted to review are on the list. Two of them taught a great class that was thoughtfully structured. I enjoyed the challenge in the flow, but overall, it’s definitely geared towards beginners in yoga.

Most of the people attending were very young and I didn’t find it particularly friendly, which is unusual in a yoga retreat. The staff and instructors were fantastic, but I wonder how it would have been if I was an absolute beginner since most classes were at an intermediate and beyond level. If you’ve never done yoga before, this might not be the place for you. There are lots of classes and activities every day that you can choose to join or not. The setting is beautiful and the facilities are well looked after. There is a real range of classes. The room is very nice indeed. This is a really special place.

In the dorm, I noticed some things missing: a plug and reading light for each bed, and the metal bunk beds were making a lot of noise. If you move, you risk waking up the person underneath you. However, everything else was perfect.

The classes were really good. You get a schedule with one morning meditation and two morning yoga classes. In the afternoon, there is one more meditation class and one more yoga class. You can choose how you manage your days.

There is always a break between 11:30 and 15:00 with no classes, so you can enjoy the pool, hammam, or go for a scooter/bike ride. Food is served from 9-13:00 and 18:00-20:00. There is nothing in between meals, but you can order a smoothie or go to a nearby restaurant. The food is vegan and good, the hammam is amazing, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had an amazing stay and can only recommend it.

No íbamos a la meditación de las 7 am porque no estaba guiada ni tenía música ni nada. Los cuartos individuales son muy bonitos y grandes. The meditation sessions take some getting used to if you’re used to meditating for a max of 25 minutes in daily life. They go pretty long in the retreat, so it’s always a challenge not to fall asleep. Unfortunately, I was sick for the first two days, but I couldn’t imagine a better place to heal. They took care of me and I was able to move to a private room at short notice. I think I’ve never recovered so quickly before. The food was just delicious and always fresh!! The yoga sessions were beautiful, I could really let go. However, I could only attend 2 classes due to my illness. There is definitely a huge variety of yoga classes and I’m sure there’s something for everyone:)

The resort isn’t right by the beach, but it only costs about 150-200 per person to take a taxi there. (They do offer free beach trips once in a while though!) That’s the only thing I didn’t like! I seriously can’t think of anything else negative to say. I absolutely adored it there!!

The atmosphere is so calming, laid-back, and welcoming – it was a breeze to de-stress there! Every single person I encountered was so friendly: the people at the front desk, the waitstaff, the cleaning crew, the massage therapists, most of the instructors, and even the other guests. I met a bunch of amazing people during my stay and kept in touch with them afterwards too. I stayed in a dorm room with three other people and everyone was really respectful. The rooms and common areas were spotless and the food was amazing!!

But after hearing from three other guests who were also experiencing the same issue, I felt unsafe. I informed the reception, and they promised to inform the boss. It was the best retreat experience I’ve ever had. The location was fantastic and the food was fresh and tasty. I felt really welcomed there. I highly recommend it, 100%.

There was a flooding in the dormitory, so we had to escape through the window at 4am. A lot of my clothes got ruined.

I got sick with a “virus” or food poisoning while I was there and was ill for three days. I couldn’t eat anything. The zen atmosphere, the smiles of people, and the outdoor activities (it’s only twice a week which is a shame).

The breakfast is good, but it starts a bit late for those who want to eat earlier (9am). The evening dish is excellent and changes every day.

The yoga lessons are good and they also offer meditation.

    – The shower is not hot.
    – Can we extend lunch time?
    – Someone placed a fan over every food item on the table except for the far left where the salad was. I noticed a lot of flies and ants in the salad area so I avoided it.
    – We never received a welcome drink.
    – Let’s focus on the food.
    – Let’s practice meditation.
    – Let’s go for a walk to the waterfall.

Most yoga classes at Wonderland focus heavily on pure asana or fitness, even if they’re labeled as Level 1. I just prefer other types of yoga. Unfortunately, there was no Sound healing, Wim Hof, or Mantra Chanting workshops while I was there, which I would have loved to attend. Make sure to check the schedule before you come! Wonderland is a beautiful place to be!

I had a great time and now feel purified, relaxed, and connected to my inner peace. Starting my day with Yaron’s Vipassana Meditations was the best way to begin. Raj’s Kundalini Hatha classes were fantastic, he has such deep knowledge and wisdom. Liz’s Yin Yoga and Aromatherapy workshop was also wonderful. The women’s circle with Amor was lovely, and Stephanie’s classes were very good too.

And let’s not forget the delicious food at Wonderland ❤️ Enjoy your time in paradise!

I felt very comfortable in Wonderland. The people were really nice, the food is excellent. It was also clean and the yoga classes were great too. Personally, Yin Yoga wasn’t a big challenge for me, but the classes are suitable for beginners. I also extended my stay because I felt comfortable, it was not a problem, the staff is very nice. The location is a bit hard to reach, but if you have a scooter it’s easier, otherwise you can order a taxi from the hotel.

We spent four days there. On the last night, we caught the worst stomach virus and were unable to move. We suffered from fever, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting for three days. It feels like we wasted our money and jeopardized our health. We feel cheated because instead of feeling better after leaving, we ended up getting sick. It’s tough to leave a negative review, but I feel like I have to warn others after our terrible experience. The yoga classes were enjoyable, and the teachers were excellent.

I arrived in October for an eight day retreat. The area was beautiful, green, and inviting, the facilities were great, and the yoga teachers were very experienced. But what truly made it a wonderland was the togetherness atmosphere. Long tables at the buffet restaurant brought together like-minded people from all around the world. Conversations became deep and I quickly developed a sense of belonging. When I left, I had made some great new connections and was trying to figure out how to bring the benefits of Wonderland into my daily life at home.

I spent 7 nights in the dorm room at Wonderland. It’s not the best dorm I’ve stayed in, but you really only sleep there anyway. During the day, there are plenty of classes like different kinds of yoga and meditation styles, lectures, and other activities such as a hike to a waterfall or sunset tour. The best part is, you get to choose what you want to join or not. If you’re in the mood to relax, you can hang out at the pool, use the sauna, or get a massage.

The food is amazing! I’m usually a vegetarian, and they have a vegan buffet. It was heaven for me 😉 Everything was delicious.

I’ve heard people say they’ll probably come back every year now. And I totally agree with them.

Nothing Wonderland in the jungle of Ko Pha Ngan is an amazing little oasis. The rooms are clean and someone comes to tidy up every day. You’ll find Shampoo and Bath Gel waiting for you. The vegan buffet is fantastic, with a variety of international dishes to enjoy. Laundry service is both cheap and dependable. Throughout the day, there are different types of meditations and yoga classes for you to try out, as well as talks, movies, and fire nights. Not to mention the sauna, cold plunge pool, swimming pool, and lounging areas available. They even offer complimentary trips to hike in the jungle or hit the beach during the week. You can also choose from a range of holistic treatments and, of course, Thai Massage. Honestly, this place is like its own wonderland – I definitely suggest checking it out.

The evening programs at Wonderland were a bit random, but you could follow the schedule pretty easily. Some of the topics were a bit vague, and the instructors either introduced themselves or just started talking. I was interested in joining, but I didn’t have enough information to feel comfortable going in. I didn’t want to feel awkward leaving in the middle of a session I wasn’t into.

Wonderland was a great spot for healing, relaxation, and hanging out with like-minded people. Some days, there were structured classes, but other days, you could just chill by the pool, get a massage, and enjoy the various areas around the resort. I met people who had been there before and came back for more. I stayed at Wonderland the whole trip and didn’t feel the need to leave since the food and social scene were so good. The food was fresh and diverse, and I enjoyed trying new things. It was a cool experience that I’ve taken with me.

I suggest the team provide more details on activities like hikes and sunset tours, so people know what to expect. I tried both and they were amazing, but not exactly what the names imply. It’s truly a magical place. In the 4 days I was there, I relaxed and rejuvenated more than I would at a typical beach resort. The schedule is packed with activities, so everyone can find something they enjoy. Despite heavy rain keeping me indoors for days, there were so many things to do that it felt like a positive experience. The food was great, even for a non-vegan like me. Unfortunately, the welcome experience was a letdown. They didn’t give us any information on how things work, and we didn’t get the welcome drink or the promised yoga consultation. I think just a quick chat about the classes and our goals, along with any injuries, would have made a big difference in setting the tone. And the whole thing about the daily smoothie listed in the booking was a bit awkward because we had to ask for it each day.

Aly and Lauren were awesome instructors. They were welcoming and Lauren really paid attention to adjusting postures and giving feedback. On the flip side, some other teachers were not so friendly. It felt cold and ego-filled in those classes, with no interaction and a robotic vibe.

There were a few classes that were too crowded for my liking. I think they should limit the number of people to ensure everyone can attend the sessions they want. And it was a bummer when the hike got canceled because of the weather, and they didn’t let us know.

On the bright side, the site itself was beautiful and well-maintained. And the food was really delicious.

Wonderland is a great spot for anyone who wants to be in a safe place and meet like-minded people. However, some may find it to be a bit of a Westerner bubble and miss having Thai food options. The center is not up on a cute mountain as expected; the grounds are actually flat. It’s a good idea to have a scooter to explore the area. Wonderland has a fantastic daily schedule of classes and special events that will keep you busy and allow you to learn about different meditation and yoga practices. Most of the yoga teachers are top-notch, and the food is delicious. While the treatments are varied, they can be a bit pricey at the center.

The only low point of my experience was when I got COVID. My Day 1 roommate had tested positive but was told to carry on with classes and act normal. She confirmed this on Day 2 as she was leaving, revealing she had COVID the whole time. Despite her having symptoms and testing positive, management told her there was no need to isolate. After spending the night in the dorm with her without wearing masks, I wasn’t surprised when I tested positive for COVID 5 days later.

Wonderland believes everyone is constantly exposed to asymptomatic carriers, which is true, but I hadn’t caught COVID in 2 years until that night. I isolated myself for 5 days to prevent spreading it to others, following my cultural norms. I wish I had been informed about my roommate’s situation so I could have moved to a private room and avoided exposure.

In the end, I stayed at Wonderland for several weeks to focus on yoga, meditation, and self-care after facing personal challenges. I didn’t have much experience with yoga and meditation before, but I tried every class and session they offered, learning something new every day. I made new friends easily and found the instructors, staff, and facilities to be welcoming and accommodating. I plan to return, possibly with my daughter, as there were other kids there and a great pool for them to enjoy. Wonderland exceeded my expectations and provided exactly what I needed.

Each yoga class lasts an hour and a half and accommodates all levels. I was amazed at how much I improved in just one week, despite practicing yoga for years. With a variety of yoga teachers and styles, there’s something for everyone. The schedule offers at least 3 yoga classes and 3+ meditation classes daily, exceeding our expectations. My boyfriend, who joined me just to support my yoga practice, was even doing handstands by the end of the week! If you don’t have a bike, it might be hard to explore the island – you’d have to be okay with just hanging out at the retreat (which isn’t a bad thing!). The restaurant staff even ate behind the counter during meal times, braided hair, and cleaned the kitchen countertop with their feet. The 6-bed dorms are okay but not luxurious. The beds wobble and squeak; there is only the big room light, so we easily disturb each other; there are no closets, clothes always lie in the backpack on the floor; bed curtains would be nice for some privacy, a shelf at the bed to put some stuff would also be useful. All of this didn’t bother me much in the first week because everything else was great, but unfortunately it got very crowded in Wonderland in my second week… we squeezed over 40 people into the shala, that definitely wasn’t fun anymore. Those who arrived late couldn’t participate. The family-like relaxed atmosphere was lost during meals. Waiting in line, waiting, or even not getting any food. Drinks were empty late at night, no towels left, etc… Very sad, the first week was really fantastic… The quiet jungle location, beautifully landscaped, varied weekly program> great for trying out, family-like, casual togetherness, very mixed audience, the steam sauna, everything very well maintained and clean, the buffet is really great.

If you wanted to give feedback, there wasn’t a specific place to leave it and it wasn’t always addressed. This was probably because of a language barrier with the staff. I thought a lot of the yoga was too basic and didn’t cater to intermediate levels. I would have liked a more physical workout. Still, I’d give it 5 stars. The room and facilities were excellent. The steam room and plunge pool were a nice touch. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. They provided plenty of bottled water. Even as a meat eater, I thought the food was amazing. It’s a great option for those looking for a ‘cleaner’ holiday or new to yoga.

The yoga class level depends on the participants, so it mostly consisted of beginners. It wasn’t really advanced. Adding a class strictly for intermediate yogis would be lovely. I absolutely adored wonderland. The food was amazing – a vegan buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’m speechless about how delicious it was. Plus, you get a free shake or coconut every day that are also top-notch. And the unlimited coffee with almond or coconut milk is a bonus. They even have a self-serve tea station. The camp itself is stunning and the people have such positive energy. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I learned so much from the meditation classes. The classes they offer are excellent too. I can’t say enough about how much I loved it.

My time at Wonderland completely transformed me. People from all walks of life come here for different reasons, but one thing’s for sure – Wonderland is a welcoming and non-judgmental place where deep healing happens. I was able to let go of so much and reflect on my own limiting beliefs. And let’s not forget about the amazing food – it was a major draw for me and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The sauna and cold plunge pool were fantastic too. There’s such a variety of classes here – from yoga to meditation to breath work – it’s hard not to find something you love. I loved Wonderland so much that I decided to extend my stay. Koh Phangan truly is a magical paradise. After my incredible two weeks here, I’ve decided to come back in 3 weeks to start my Yoga Teacher Training.

I didn’t really enjoy the dancing options for the evening activities. I would have preferred a Yin Yoga class or extra meditation at 8pm instead of something more upbeat, but it seemed like others were really enjoying it. I can’t speak highly enough about this retreat – I was skeptical at first, but now I’m so glad I took a chance on it. Everything fell into place after a work trip and I felt right at home from the moment I arrived (especially with the welcome drink at check-in). Meeting people from around the world at meals was a great experience, and I also enjoyed relaxing in a hammock with a good book or doing some journal writing by the pool between classes and activities. Not every yoga style or instructor was my favorite, but I got to try new things like Aerial Yoga (which I loved) and Laughter Yoga (weird, but glad I gave it a shot). The location was perfect – secluded yet close to beautiful hiking trails and mountain views. The dorm rooms were cozy and the beds surprisingly comfortable. I highly recommend getting a Thai massage – I wish I had gotten one every day. I cherished every moment of the retreat, and it was fitting that it started raining as soon as I left. Getting to Koh Phangan may be a bit tricky with flights, ferries, and buses, but if I ever have the opportunity to go back, I definitely will. Great job, Wonderland team!

I think they need to update the list of instructors because I absolutely adored Selina, who taught us Yin Yoga and Chakra Yoga. Also, the instructor who led the Kundalini yoga class on Wednesday, December 4th was fantastic.

I have two constructive criticisms. The first is that I think the yoga equipment needs to be washed and cleaned daily because they all smell quite bad. Second, the mattresses are incredibly hard to the point where it was painful to sleep on them. I believe adding a mattress topper would be beneficial. Despite these issues, the staff was very accommodating and provided me with multiple blankets to fold up and sleep on. Overall, I absolutely love everything about this place! Wonderland truly amazes with something for every holiday style. If you’re looking to relax and unwind, you’ll find a beautiful pool, sauna, massages, delicious vegan food, coconuts, tranquil surroundings, yin yoga, meditation, and more. I highly recommend planning at least a week there to try all the incredible experiences, or you can always extend your stay – it’s hard to leave Wonderland.

For those who prefer a more active vacation, there are bicycles (and scooters!) to explore the island, visit beautiful beaches, or simply enjoy the nature. You can also go snorkeling by KohMa or attend yoga classes at Wonderland. As a beginner, you’ll have different yoga styles taught by experienced instructors every day.

If you’re up for a deeper experience, try the ice bath pranayama style classes to work on breathing techniques and breath retention. And the ultimate experience for me was The Inner Walk – it opened my eyes, woke me up, and taught me valuable lessons for everyday living. I finally understood the concept of mindfulness on a whole new level, thanks to Wonderland. Thank you for the incredible journey!

Occasionally, last-minute schedule changes or class cancellations happen at Wonderland Retreat due to their contracts with instructors all over the island. But hey, that’s just part of life, right? The construction due to the rainstorms was a little disruptive, but we just rolled with it. The staff at this retreat are amazing and take care of everything you need.

Wonderland is a drop-in center, so you can come and go as you please for yoga, meditation, and other sessions. It may not be ideal for building consistent skills, but it’s a great way to explore different styles and meet new people. I loved sharing a private room with one other person – comfy beds, a nice bathroom, and AC. And don’t even get me started on the hammocks on the porch!

The food was absolutely delicious, especially for a vegan like me. And the little perks like daily smoothies and coconuts, Reiki and massage treatments, and the option to add more treatments for a reasonable price really add to the experience. The staff is super helpful in arranging motorbike rentals, taxis, and island tours.

The facilities are lovely at Wonderland, despite some temporary pool and bathroom closures due to the storms. Trust me, booking extra days is totally worth it. I can’t recommend Wonderland Retreat enough – just go for it!

Yin and restorative yoga are fantastic here, but if you’re looking for power or vinyasa classes, this isn’t the place for you. Only one class out of the 5 I attended was actually challenging. The rest were pretty laid-back. I only found two classes that included hip openers, which was disappointing for me. None of the teachers incorporated a vinyasa sequence, where you move with each breath. Although the teachers knew their stuff, they tended to pace the class slowly and go off on tangents. On the bright side, the facilities, staff, food, and schedule were top-notch. It’s a real treat to be in such a beautiful setting. Some yoga classes are very basic. I was hoping for a few more classes that were above the level +1. The dorms are okay, but having 6 people is a bit much, especially when there’s only one shower. The food is amazing, and the people are amazing too! I originally booked for 3 nights, but ended up extending for a few more. I love the meditation sessions with Ali and the daily coconut water!

Not much bad here! There are lots of insects (it’s a jungle) and I even saw two huge spiders in one girl’s bathroom. The location is right in the middle of the island, so there’s no vista or view. The common area stops playing music at 10pm and they don’t allow playing cards. And can you believe they don’t have any pool toys? 🙁 The yoga classes are at a slow, plodding pace.

The dorm lockers aren’t big enough for backpacks, but those banana pancakes are like crack! I’ll definitely come back just for those. The dorms are modern and immaculate, with two bathrooms. There are hammocks and lounge beds everywhere. The sauna and ice pool are amazing! The pool is always at the perfect temperature and cleaned daily. There are plug sockets near each bed.

The common areas are comfy and welcoming, and the staff is kind and helpful. The instructors are super friendly. The food is amazing, fresh, and varied. The classes are solid and varied (improv contact was hilarious). Detoxing was eye-opening 😉

You can easily and cheaply rent a scooter from the reception. It’s so easy to lose track of time in this quiet, peaceful sanctuary!

He approached me and addressed my problem. The accommodation was cheap, so it was very bare bones (but I already knew that it was a dorm room). I didn’t find some of the workshops in the evening very exciting or appealing. I would have liked to see more variety or different types of yoga like Iyengar.

I decided to book this yoga retreat to get out of my comfort zone (Wonderland) and clear my head. The whole purpose of this trip was to rediscover my passion for yoga and give meditation another shot, as I’ve always struggled with it. I finally gathered the courage to book my first retreat ever, and I’m thrilled I chose Wonderland Healing Centre. It’s a great deal – you get fresh, tasty vegan meals three times a day, a spacious and clean private room, and a complimentary massage. There are plenty of classes throughout the day to keep you busy, but you also have time to relax in the sun or read a book. The restaurant is a fantastic spot to hang out or even take a quick nap.

I had a blast with the yoga instructors, especially Naama in Wild Organic Yoga and Camilla in Yin Yoga. I also loved the SOMA breathing yoga workshop and Yoga Nidra classes.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I ended up extending it for almost a week (originally planned for just 3 nights).

The atmosphere in this place is incredibly relaxed, quiet, and peaceful. You can choose from different classes all day long. It’s not just practicing yoga or other stuff – the teacher also explains a lot so you learn a lot as well. The food was the best I’ve ever eaten in a hotel, fresh and super healthy. I wish the sea were closer (it takes 15 minutes by cab and costs 150/200 baht). It would have been nice if there were a free shuttle to the beach on a fixed time. More diversity in meditation would be interesting too. The daily program gets repetitive if you stay longer. But it’s not a big deal if you are not too experienced. The place has great energy, it’s wonderful in green. You can feel that the details have been thought out. I stayed in the dorm for 11 nights, it was very clean, and bed sheets and towels were changed everyday. The staff are sweet and helpful. The food is amazing. My only complaint there was the sleeping situation. In every other hostel I stayed at in Thailand, the dorm beds had their own curtains for a little bit of privacy, and the beds were far more comfortable. It struck me as ironic that so much of the yoga and meditation work we did focused on alignment and taking good care of our bodies – only for us to sleep on the most uncomfortable beds I have ever experienced in my life. If they changed that in the dorms, then it would be a practically perfect experience!

I got way more than I had expected out of this retreat. I met amazing people, both the teachers and the other participants, ate incredible food, and did great yoga. They were very beginner-friendly, but there were also more advanced participants who I believe also enjoyed themselves. The retreat features a pool and a steam room, and you can go to all the classes, or do your own thing, or whatever you want! The energy there is amazing and I had a great time.

The Yoga classes were crowded and the instructor talked a lot. The smell in my bathroom was unpleasant, but I had read about it on trip advisor so I was prepared. The room I stayed in was spacious with a lovely view of the pool. There was a kettle and fridge in the room with free water. They offer free pick up and drop off to the ferry, which is convenient. The food was amazing and you can help yourself to tea, coffee, and water anytime. There are also plenty of free water stations around. The variety of yoga classes and meditation was great. I particularly enjoyed the meditation with Ali and Jo. The massages with “Apple” were fantastic. If you want to go out for the day, they can arrange a taxi for a fee. We are left to our own devices a lot (which may be what some people want), although we can open up and discuss in certain activities. It’s a very personal approach and it depends on each person… Also, I didn’t really like Koh Pha-ngan… The food is excellent. Great atmosphere and the setting is awesome. Good variety of activities. You meet people from everywhere. I liked the variety of yoga styles, depending on the teachers.

The communication for questions and issues mostly happened online, especially when being on site, a personal conversation can be much better. The reception was very nice but did not have decision-making authority, so they often had to email the operators and wait for a response, even though they were on site. I found that very strange and closed off.
I did not like the mixed dormitories. I wanted to move to a private room for an extra charge, but it was unreasonably expensive. The yoga and meditation classes were good. The food was really delicious. The grounds are very nicely designed. I loved the sauna and steam room. The massage was also really great.

This place has a magical vibe. The food rocks, the schedule is packed, and the teachers are top-notch in both yoga and meditation. But it’s the people who really bring the magic. The connections, the shared experiences, the communal meals – it’s all thanks to them. Trust me, do yourself a favor and book a room for as long as possible. You won’t want to leave, I promise.

I had an amazing experience spending 22 days at the beautiful Resort. Meeting people from all over the world made it feel very special and magical. Every day, we shared unforgettable experiences in a simple and harmonious way. The Community here offers the best Yoga, meditation classes, Detox programmes, Reiki, vegan food, and a good selection of international music. I laughed, cried, spent hours in silence, chilled out by the pool, enjoyed the steam room, and deeply cultivated my inner peace, self-love, forgiveness, compassion, acceptance, joy, and kindness.

I didn’t personally plan the program as promised. The yoga classes were for beginners and had a wide variety of styles. Unfortunately, I ended up in one of the “not so good” rooms and was a bit disappointed since it didn’t have the promised terrace, seating area, or view. The room would have been okay for a shorter stay. If you’re looking to advance in yoga or find a “real” yoga school, this probably isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re seeking a resort where you can eat healthy, dip your toes into spirituality, and unwind, I would recommend this place. The food was fantastic, the rooms were clean, the staff was mostly friendly, and the surroundings and pool area were nice. It would be a great experience for someone with little to no yoga experience. The meditation classes were good and some of the yoga instructors were really experienced.

I found a criticism that the yoga level was too intense. Even though I tried Level 1, I still felt it was too hard on my body due to my issues. There wasn’t enough focus on alternative poses for people with limitations. I also felt some instructors should have asked about any issues or pregnancies in the class.

It would be helpful if someone explained how the retreat works during check-in. Since it was our first yoga retreat, we didn’t have anything to compare it to. However, my son and I loved the first-class facilities, food, instructors, and accommodation. (My son was worried there wouldn’t be enough food!)

We enjoyed every minute and our stay went by too quickly. We plan on coming back at the end of the year. I highly recommend Wonderland Yoga Retreat for anyone looking for a complete holistic experience with yoga, philosophy, meditation, and lifestyle choices.

The hot water in the bathroom wasn’t working well. I started in a dorm room but it was too much for me, so I had to move to a private room. Here’s why:

1- There were too many girls in one room for the small space.
    2- The ventilation wasn’t great.
    3- The AC was unreliable.
4- There wasn’t enough storage for my belongings, so I had to put my stuff on the floor.
5- The beds were too high for guests on the upper level, and they were noisy. I had to wake my neighbor below every time I needed to go to the bathroom at night.

I also wasn’t a fan of the stray dogs on the island, especially the ones that kept intruding on the premises. But I did appreciate the friendliness of everyone and the family-like atmosphere. The place itself was well-designed, clean, and maintained, with the owner taking care of many details important to solo travelers.

The rooms at the dorm were very clean and spacious, with two toilets for 6 people – that’s perfect! However, in my opinion, concrete western style houses are not the best choice for a tropical climate because they cause energy consumption to rise above acceptable levels. We had to use the air conditioning every night. Despite this, everything was good.

I was hoping for a more minimalistic place, but Wonderland had a more vacation-like ambiance which was still very enjoyable. The yoga classes could be challenging, but they were accessible even for beginners.

The vegan food truly impressed me, even though I’m not a vegetarian. I also enjoyed the tasty smoothies. Despite not being on a detox, I noticed my digestive system felt better during my stay.

Every day, we had different levels of yoga classes. The instructors were helpful and knowledgeable, always willing to answer any questions.

Sometimes they organized trips to the beach. I only went once, but the sunset was absolutely stunning.

The restaurant area was a favorite of mine. It was a great place to relax and meet new people, but also perfect for some alone time. Each evening, there was a special event which was a fun way to socialize in a different way than just chatting.

The food is absolutely gorgeous, with an abundance of choice and flavors. I especially liked how the restaurant facility felt like home and there was an unlimited supply of teas and coffees. The staff is wonderful and there is an atmosphere of sincere dedication to wellbeing and care. The massages were incredible and the setting and view from the massage location are worth the extra few dollars. Thank you for having me, I will definitely come back if I am ever in Koh Phangan again.

Here, you will not only learn various yoga poses, but also discover yourself, your mind, and your body. You can engage in group discussions, gain new perspectives from people all over the world, and enjoy three meals together. The food is delicious, the staff and yoga teachers are wonderful, and the atmosphere is warm and loving. During my three weeks here, I, as a 20-year-old, have learned so much about myself. While I was there, the center experienced major flooding and many people lost their personal items. The pool was also out of use for the entire time.

It’s disappointing that they didn’t offer any discounts or gestures of goodwill to customers who were affected by the flooding or suffered personal losses.

The dorm wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped. The top bunks didn’t have shelving or lights, which made it inconvenient for long stays.

On the bright side, the food in the restaurant area was amazing. It was a comfortable meeting spot with delicious food and great coffee. The variety of yoga and meditation classes was also good.

Yoga classes can be very busy and may not always cater to beginners or those who are less physically able. The instructors often don’t offer modifications for injuries or different levels of ability.

In my experience as a yoga teacher, some of the teaching seems to target more experienced students and could be unsafe for beginners. However, the community feel is great and the buffet style meals offer a variety of food options. Plus, they are good at accommodating food allergies.

Overall, the classes are diverse and well-taught, although they may not be the best fit for beginners.

Yeah, some of the yoga classes can get pretty crowded. They should definitely add a 6am class to help ease the crowd during the 8am one. They offer a wide range of yoga classes, meditation sessions, and special deals. They also organize off-campus activities. The steam room, when it’s working, is amazing. The pool is a bit small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. The place is super clean and tidy. The food is all vegan and made fresh every day. And the best part is the diverse group of people from all over the world that come here.

This retreat had so many people that the classes were always jammed packed. I really wish the classes had been smaller with fewer people. The beds were pretty hard, but we realized that this is pretty standard after visiting other places in Thailand. However, considering how much we spent there, I would have loved a nice fluffy mattress.

They treated us like VIP’s from check in to check out. Everyone was so nice. The food, served buffet style, was always healthy and delicious. Our rooms were cozy and peaceful, making me feel like I was in a fancy treehouse. The yoga room was beautifully placed next to the river, allowing us to see and hear the water trickling by.
