  • I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Karma Resort Ubud. The hotel staff was kind and the cottage had a comfortable and cute interior. The breakfast and lunch were delicious.

For those considering a stay at this resort, here are some important things to know (they also inform you at check-in):

    1. The resort offers a shuttle bus service to Ubud Center. They now provide round trip transportation to and from Ubud. Just let them know what time you'd like to be picked up when you're dropped off. The shuttle runs once every hour.

    2. They offer yoga lessons twice a day at 8:30am and 6:00pm. The morning class is hatha yoga and the evening class is viyansa yoga.

Also, keep in mind that activities at the resort require booking at least one day in advance. They cannot arrange activities on the same day.

  • Breakfast felt very basic after a 2-hour yoga practice. If you're a carb fan, then this would be your jam, but sadly, no colorful fruit or even tomatoes to break up the beige and brown on the table. The first night, a lot of people went to bed hungry, but they caught on and loaded up their plates the next day. The diners were delightful. Lunch, which wasn't served until after 3pm, was simply soup and raw cabbage with onion - a tad disappointing after a long walk left everyone starving! The class sizes seemed a bit large for the room, with 17 of us crammed in there. I think 14 should be the max to ensure we have enough space. However, the location was fantastic with a beautiful old Manor House and a warm, friendly yoga team. Classes were enjoyable overall.

  • During our second yoga session, bongos played in the grass area the whole time, making it hard to relax. The motivational talk was basically the master asking if we had questions, which didn't make much sense. They should explain that activity better to guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was amazing and perfect for relaxing.

  • During our second yoga class, bongos played in the grass area the whole time, making it hard to listen and relax. The master just asked if we had questions during the so-called motivational talk, which didn't really make much sense. Maybe they should explain that activity better to guests. The rooms were super clean and comfy. The pool area was fantastic - perfect for relaxing.

  • During our second yoga class, bongos played in the grassy area throughout. It was tough to relax with that distraction. The master's motivational talk seemed lacking as he simply asked if we had questions. It could be explained better to guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool area was fantastic for relaxing.
