Yoga Near Me's Listings

Reviews

  • The rooms were not very clean. I stayed in three different rooms - first the shared dorms, which were probably the best and cleanest. Then in two other locations with my own room. Both rooms had dirty bedding - the first had blood on the sheets that looked like someone had squashed a mosquito, and the second had white stains that looked like something else. Both rooms were supposed to have hot water and AC. The first room had a broken shower and then no hot water when it was fixed. The second room had a broken AC. When I told the staff about the issues, they had maintenance come to fix them within a few hours.

The staff were mostly nice, but the owner seemed quite rude. He rudely told me to leave the common area while he was talking to the staff. Some yoga teachers were lovely, but a few were arrogant and rude. One class felt like a drill Sargent, and another teacher adjusted me into a pose that hurt my back. Luckily, there was no serious damage. Most of the yoga classes were good, but some were horrible. The food at the restaurant was healthy and fresh. The location was great! I appreciated that the accommodation was smoke and alcohol-free, attracting like-minded people who were health-conscious, creating a great vibe and plenty of interesting people to talk to. It was a great hangout spot.

  • I think they should have more yoga or meditation practice at this retreat. Doing yoga once a day for just an hour doesn't feel like enough to call it a yoga retreat.

The restaurant is supposed to be five-star, but it was pretty disappointing. None of the meals impressed me or anyone else I talked to.

But I have to say, I absolutely loved this retreat. It was one of my favorite parts of my trip, and I was here for a whole month. The resort is absolutely incredible and luxurious. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and Ayu, the woman who runs the hotel, is just amazing. Our yoga instructor was fantastic too. She was really nice and knew exactly how to challenge our group based on our skill levels.

  • People were drawn to the place because it's listed in the lonely planet, even if they weren't really feeling the vibe or yoga. Some of the yoga attendees seemed a bit serious and pretentious, like they needed face-yoga to remember how to smile! The bathrooms really need a deep clean with bleach, but that doesn't really fit with the zen feel of the place, ya know? And the yoga teachers! They were all so unique, but they each had something special about them that showed they were carefully chosen. The restaurant was a great addition - it offered good value, lots of variety, and super healthy and convenient options.

  • The Lonely Planet listing attracted people who weren't really into the vibe or yoga at the place. Some of the yoga attendees were a bit pretentious and serious - they could use some face-yoga to remember how to smile! The bathrooms need a thorough cleaning with bleach - but that doesn't fit the zen atmosphere I know! The yoga teachers, on the other hand, were all unique and special in their own way - they were clearly chosen with care. The restaurant was a fantastic addition, offering good value, lots of variety, and healthy options that were convenient for everyone.
