I had to pay for my taxi to the nearest village on my way back, and they didn't offer me the option of staying another night at the dormitory before I headed home. They could have, but they didn't. They also charged me for laundry, which was not cool. The retreat was way too expensive, and the lessons were pretty repetitive. There was a lot of relaxation and meditation, which was nice, but sometimes it was hard to keep up with the lessons. They did have a Christmas party, a women's circle, and we got to swim at Zen Beach. I had to complain to get any compensation.
Since I'm not a vegan person, I struggled a bit with the food situation. But the cafeteria staff always helped me out and were really friendly. The school's seriousness, the professionalism of the management team and staff, and the teachers' expertise were all impressive. The mix of hands-on and theory classes was also well organized.
