There aren't really any negatives. The only thing to watch out for is if you happen to coincide with a big organized group at the hotel, like I did on my last day. It can take away from the peaceful and immersive atmosphere of the hotel. But that's the case at any hotel, really. The peace and energy of this place are truly magical. The staff, therapists, and yoga teachers are the warmest, friendliest, and most adorable people I've ever met. The location is perfect; it's removed enough from the touristy hubbub of Ubud, which can be overwhelming. This retreat was perfect for relaxation and recharging my batteries. And I got an unexpected bonus of a spiritual experience - meeting the guru and taking part in a regular ashram ceremony. It was pure magic!

The only downside is that if you happen to coincide with a big organized group at the hotel (which only happened to me on my last day), it could take away from the peace and quiet of the immersive atmosphere. But that's just something that can happen at any hotel in general. The magical energy and peace of this place are truly special. The only thing is that if you happen to coincide with a big organized group at the hotel (which happened to me only on my last day), it may take away from the peace and quiet and immersive atmosphere of the hotel. But that's the case in any given hotel in general... The peace and the energy of this place are magical. The staff, therapists, and yoga teachers are the warmest, most friendly, and adorable people I've ever met. The location is perfect as well since it's sufficiently removed from the touristy hassle of Ubud, which can be quite overwhelming. This retreat was simply ideal for relaxation and for recharging my batteries... And beyond the expected relaxation, I had the bonus of a spiritual experience too - unexpectedly meeting with the guru and taking part in a regular ashram ceremony. Pure magic!
I totally loved the weather on the Bliss Body Retreat. It was way cooler than I expected, considering I was trying to escape the winter in Australia. We had some sunny days, but it definitely gets chilly, so don't forget to bring some warm clothes.
The retreat itself was absolutely amazing. It turned out to be just what I needed in my life, even if I didn't realize it before. I had plenty of time to sleep and reflect, and the daily yoga sessions were absolutely wonderful.
Now let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! It was my first time trying raw food, and it was such an eye-opener for me. The whole experience was so enlightening that I even took some recipes home and started incorporating them into my daily life.
But the best part is how this retreat has changed my life since I've been back home. I feel so different now. There's this calmness and a sense of letting go that I never had before. It's real, because even my friends and colleagues have noticed the change in me!
I couldn't eat while on holiday, but being able to fast for nearly 6 days made me feel empowered.
