There was no yoga because the teacher was on vacation. To make up for it, they offered me massages/dinner.
There was quite a bit of cockroach feces in the room and the massage room. I know it's unavoidable in Indonesia, but it seemed like a lot to me.
The scooter they gave me had almost an empty tank.
During Covid, it seems that a big chain took over the house. Unfortunately, the original idea seems to have been lost and they no longer implement yoga or a true "retreat" there. Very sad. The staff was always friendly and eager to help, always with a smile.
You can tell that someone put some thought into the concept.
Completing the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Anandam Yoga School in Bali was an incredibly fulfilling experience. Katharina, Sandeep, and Ankur are exceptional teachers with a wealth of knowledge. They provided a nurturing environment for all of us students, making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I am eagerly looking forward to my next Yoga Teacher Training with them.
The setting was picturesque, surrounded by rice fields and adjacent to a temple. I tried aerial yoga for the first time and found it to be fascinating, slightly difficult yet suitable for all skill levels.
Following our participation in Anthony's Breathwork Class, my girlfriend and I were enchanted by the calming and peaceful experience it provided. The 'Let's Get Lost Centre' was beautifully designed with a minimalistic theme and abundant water, creating the perfect ambiance for Anthony's classes. We are eager to attend more sessions during our next visit to Bali. We highly recommend it.
I had to pay for my taxi to the nearest village on my way back. They didn't offer any hospitality for staying one more night at the dormitory before I traveled back home, even though there was a possibility or availability. They even charged for laundry, which was quite expensive. The retreat itself was also very pricey. The lessons were almost all the same, one after another, with too much relaxation and meditation. Sometimes it was impossible to follow any lessons at all. They also had a Christmas party, a women's circle, and a swimming area called Zen Beach. I had to complain and make a claim to receive any compensation.
