Everything at the hotel was perfect - from the friendly staff and amazing programme to the herb library and dala spa. The location in the heart of Ubud made it easy to access all the places we wanted to go.
Charlotte, the amazing chef, made breakfast and lunch close together, leaving a long gap until dinner. She skillfully prepared food that was both beautiful and delicious, quite a challenge on a strict detox diet! She was also really helpful in answering all my questions about how she made the food taste so good. I've already tried recreating the green smoothie and the smokey roasted beetroot - the beetroot was simple and yummy! Next on my list is making kimchi. I've completely changed my cooking and eating habits since coming back home.
Rebecca, a great yoga teacher with lots of experience in different styles, led all the classes. Each lesson was unique and engaging. I now incorporate the breathing exercises she taught us into my daily routine. She made yoga feel accessible and relatable.
The other people on the course were also lovely!
Overall, it was an amazing weekend. Many thanks to everyone involved. I've successfully brought back my zen peace of mind into my daily life, which has been incredibly empowering.
The bathrooms barely fit one person! It's a small complaint, but everything else was great. I enjoyed the amazing yoga sessions with Wenche, relaxing by the pool, having fun at the bar (!), going on fantastic outings, and bonding with the group.
There's not much not to like, really! The fab retreat far exceeded my expectations. I'm not vegan, but I loved the delicious food. Didn't miss meat or dairy at all!
