October 14, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved the seminar! It was such a unique and unforgettable experience. I got to meet so many positive people and we were in a beautiful location with amazing food. The teachers were the best! Himanshu Bahuguna is an incredible instructor who has so much passion for Yoga and Teaching. You can feel his passion every second of the training. It was a special gift to be able to train with him in Europe. Faye Balomenou was also amazing! She supported us throughout the training and motivated us to bring out the best in ourselves. Her knowledge in Yoga Philosophy was great, and I had the best Yoga Nidra experience ever at the Palairos seminar with Faye. I highly recommend it! Don’t hesitate to book it. I am already looking forward to the 300h! Namaste.

September 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThe way they taught The Anatomy was all over the place, and they didn’t really discuss how it relates to different poses in yoga. It would be better if we took the exam right after the lecture so we can apply it to our training. Himanshu did a great job teaching Pranayama, Flow, and alignment.

September 19, 2023 at 12:00 amHimanshu and Faye have truly made this journey unforgettable for us since day 1, covering practical aspects, theory, and providing extra support whenever we needed it.
Spryos’s passion for anatomy has made learning easy and fun, and his support continues long after the training.
The combination of our three teachers creates a complete and enriching training experience.
If you ever feel unprepared or worried about what comes after, rest assured that they will address all your concerns.
The sense of family created here is remarkable. We all share the same goal of thriving in our practices, and it’s a joy to embark on this journey with such incredible people.
Lastly, the staff here is amazing – kind, generous, hardworking, and always striving to make our stay comfortable.
In conclusion, if you have any interest in yoga, this is an experience you won’t regret.

September 11, 2023 at 12:00 amI really got so much more out of this training than I expected. Our teachers, Faye, Ippoliti, and Spyros, are so passionate about what they do and they can really convey their knowledge and love for yoga in a simple, detailed, and sometimes really fun way. All the teachers and the hotel staff have been super helpful with any concerns, questions, or problems I had during my stay at Kosta Maria. These three weeks of training are pretty intense, but trust me, you won’t regret choosing this if you want to learn more about yoga and take your practice further. You learn so many new things during this time and you’ll definitely realize just how much progress you can make. Plus, it’s an amazing place to meet people from all over the world and grow together. Let’s take it to the next level!

August 22, 2023 at 12:00 amI suggest that the groups should have different age options. Personally, I would have preferred a group with people aged 30 and above. The training was incredible and taught us the true essence of yoga. The location choice was spot-on, as we stayed in a cozy family-owned hotel that made us feel at home in every possible way. The food was always fresh and delicious, and the staff treated us like family, showing us love and kindness. They were so helpful, even taking me to a nearby market for groceries when I needed it.
The training was both physically and spiritually intense, often pushing us to our limits. But with the support of our incredible instructors, we were able to grow every day. Our amazing instructors, Faye and Ippo, each brought their unique Yin & yang energies to the classes. Faye’s alignment classes and Ippo’s pranayama classes were truly one of a kind. And even though we had limited time with him, our anatomy instructor Sypros was also an exceptional person, clearly passionate about anatomy and motivating us in many ways.
All in all, this experience was absolutely amazing for me personally. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a love for yoga, dedication, and time to commit to it. ???

July 7, 2023 at 12:00 amI completed my 200h vinyasa teacher training with YogaUnion in June 2023 in Ubud, Bali, and it completely transformed my life. The experience was incredible! The group of teachers who guided me throughout the training were absolutely amazing. I not only learned everything I wanted to know about yoga, but I also formed strong connections with fellow students from all over the world. This training allowed me to explore myself in ways I never thought possible.
I have to give a special shout-out to my lead teacher, Himanshu. He is hands down the best yoga instructor I’ve ever had. Himanshu possesses an immense knowledge about all aspects of yoga, including asanas, pranayama, and philosophy. He has extensive experience working with students of different backgrounds and skill levels from around the globe. On top of his incredible teaching abilities, Himanshu exudes an unmatched passion for what he does, and he’s always there to support and assist his students in any way he can.
I know I’m not the only one who feels this way about Himanshu. Many of my classmates admire him just as much as I do. He truly embodies the essence of this teacher training. We need more teachers like him in the world!

July 3, 2023 at 12:00 amI was blown away by the 200 hour Vinyasa YTT in Paleros! It completely exceeded my expectations. Faye Balomenou, our amazing teacher, brings so much enthusiasm for yoga and is always eager to share her wealth of knowledge. Her alignment classes were thorough and precise, showcasing her vast teaching experience and confidence. The practices were intense and kept me motivated.
Eleni Chantzara is a perfect complement to Faye. Her teachings in Pranayama and various workshops were thoughtful and valuable. I loved her beautiful flows and gentle energy. As for the anatomy classes with Spyros Kapitsinos, they were simply captivating. He has a deep understanding of the subject and keeps his students engaged, even after rigorous practices. He empowers us with knowledge of our own anatomy for our yoga practice and teaching.
The hotel where the training took place is in a stunning location, just a short walk outside of Paleros town. It has its own private beach, which was only a few staircases away. If walking isn’t your thing, there’s also a pool. Everywhere you look, there are breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. The upper and lower Shalas, combined with the scenery, created a fantastic atmosphere to practice in.
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the food was fresh, varied, and delicious. They mainly served a healthy/vegetarian spin on Greek dishes, although some may find it a bit heavy. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

June 28, 2023 at 12:00 amThe food was really delicious and I have a few suggestions: It would be great to have more variety in the cereal and fruit options for breakfast. Personally, I prefer a thicker porridge rather than something that’s more like soup. Also, instead of having stuffed bell peppers and tomatoes for the third time, it would be nice to try a different dish.
I have to say, this yoga teacher training exceeded my expectations. The teachers we had couldn’t have been better. They shared their knowledge with so much dedication and passion that you can really feel the essence of yoga in your body, mind, and soul. It’s an amazing feeling. I came back home feeling like my true self, and even more inspired to continue my own practice and teach others, which I didn’t expect after just 3 weeks.
Of course, there were some challenging moments both physically and mentally, but it was all worth it. We needed to be pushed to our limits in order to realize our full potential and grow, just like every woman in the group did. Fay is an incredible teacher with a diverse range of teaching styles. She’s not afraid to be critical to ensure that we truly understand what we’re doing, but she also knows how to make us laugh. Eleni is a beautiful soul and her meditation and breathing techniques were presented in such an inviting way. Her yoga flows were tough, but in a gratifying way. Spyros made anatomy class interesting and easy to understand with his humor. Surprisingly, I was able to remember the important topics for the exam effortlessly.
The KostaMaria Family and staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and the rooms were extremely clean. And let me tell you, it’s only 106 steps to reach the crystal clear water with a breathtaking view. Don’t miss out on that!

June 27, 2023 at 12:00 amI recommend bringing your own yoga mat or a travel version to put over the existing mats. The training took place in the beautiful Earth shala of YogaUnion in the rice fields of Ubud. My accommodation was conveniently located right next to the shala, just 2 meters away. Although there wasn’t a pool at the shala, we were able to use the pools at other places where some of the other participants stayed.
The restaurant where we had our meals was only a 3 minute walk away. We also had some nice spas and cafes in the area, offering something different every day. While not every meal may have suited everyone’s taste, there was always something delicious in the buffet.
My main teacher, Gourav, has extensive knowledge about yoga, pranayama, and alignment of the asanas. He prepares you excellently for becoming a yoga teacher. I also want to mention Menik, our amazing anatomy teacher, who could answer every single one of our questions and linked the anatomy information with yoga poses.
Our philosophy teacher, Laila, has a unique energy and a soothing voice. She also offers a 50-hour yin yoga teacher training. We had a mixture of different yoga classes like yin, restorative, acro, ashtanga, and nidra, but our main focus was on vinyasa. The classes were at an intermediate level, but you gradually learn and get stronger each day.
Our group consisted of 19 lovely participants who made the training enjoyable and a truly special experience. I highly recommend it!

April 4, 2023 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed everything about it, but sometimes the restaurant was too crowded and they would always run out of food. It was a bit frustrating, but overall, it was still good. I especially loved how the staff took such good care of us. Himanshu, in particular, was amazing with his knowledge. Even though there were 30 of us, he managed to give individual attention and guidance to each person. Laila was a pure source of love and motivation. She inspired and uplifted my soul. Fabien was always there during the training, constantly helping me correct my mistakes. I’m so grateful to have had his support and encouragement throughout. Every now and then, he would give me a look and say, “You can do it, Sherin.” Those words meant a lot to me. Luca was like a ray of sunshine in our group. He was always there for us, not only with training-related issues but even with personal problems. He was our emotional protector, and his smile and positive energy never let us feel lonely.

February 20, 2023 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, I had some uncomfortable experiences with the location. The place didn’t match up to what I had seen in the videos and photos on the website for the past 5 years, especially the rice fields. I had thought it was a new venue, but it wasn’t clear to us that this was just another venue used when the first one is fully booked. It would be nice if they informed us in the future that there are 3 venues and give us the option to choose a specific one, like the rice fields instead of the down rabbit hole.
I also had an issue with my privacy because of the neighbor, but thankfully Ourania (the owner of Yoga Union) was very thoughtful and assured us that this kind of inconvenience wouldn’t happen again in the future.
Apart from that, the place is nice. The bedrooms are new and the staff is very friendly. The instructors, in particular, were amazing. They had a high level of knowledge and a great attitude. They always made sure to answer our questions and provide us with all the information we needed.
I also want to thank Marina and Anna Viktoria for their amazing classes. They taught with kindness, love, and enthusiasm. I will always remember them.
A big thank you also goes to Gourav and Laila, who are incredible and highly skilled teachers. And of course, Menik, my amazing anatomy teacher, who made us love learning about fascia and tendons, even though it sounds a bit strange.

January 12, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved everything about my experience with YogaUnion. The support team was always ready to help whenever other students had an issue, and the teacher for the 50hr yin TTC was incredibly knowledgeable and inspiring. Their unique energy made me feel supported and nurtured throughout the training.
Thanks to YogaUnion, my life has been changed in so many ways. Through completing my 200hr and 300hr in vinyasa yoga, and now the yin TTC, I’ve learned so much about life, myself, and others. The Yin TTC allowed me to dive deeper within myself, quiet my busy mind, and start discovering my true self and embracing my authenticity.
I’m already eager for the next trainings that YogaUnion will create and host. I can’t wait to continue growing alongside them. Once again, I want to express my gratitude to YogaUnion, their amazing teachers, and support team. You remind all of us what life is truly about. Keep up the fantastic job and keep spreading love and kindness in the world! Thank you!

January 10, 2023 at 12:00 amMixing with people of varied levels of yoga experience means that those who are advanced may not get the most benefit from the training because the instructors are forced to slow down their teaching. However, this could be an issue with other yoga teacher training programs as well.
I find that some sessions, like the Kriya and Cacao ceremony, are not really relevant to me. Instead, I prefer yoga workshops that directly impact my practice and teaching. It’s important to have knowledgeable and patient instructors who understand my needs.
The accommodations are excellent, and the meals are delicious. The staff is the sweetest and always there to help. The yoga workshops are top-notch, and the location is convenient, close to Ubud center.
The shala where the training takes place is intimate, clean, and well maintained. It creates a nice environment for learning and practicing yoga.

January 10, 2023 at 12:00 amThe Teacher Training truly exceeded my expectations! I have to admit, being fairly new to Yoga, the tight and packed schedule posed a challenge at times, but it was amazing to see how I gradually grew in my yoga practice and on a personal level.
Yoga goes far beyond physical exercise, and our Philosophy classes really helped me integrate the Yogic lifestyle into my everyday life off the mat.
My accommodation in the rice fields was absolutely wonderful and clean, and it was just a short walk away from the shala (students are spread all over guest houses in the rice fields). Plus, the food provided at the restaurant was incredibly delicious!

September 3, 2022 at 12:00 amIt didn’t quite meet my expectations. They promised us a different yoga teacher, in addition to Himansu, but we didn’t receive one. I also signed up to learn other styles of yoga like tantra, Yin, and pregnancy yoga, but except for one class, we weren’t fully educated on these styles. The course focused on asana and the mind, but it was missing the soul and leadership skills. Our group was challenging as some members were opinionated and rude at times, like falling asleep or using their phones during class. There wasn’t a real leader to control this behavior. It felt like the course was just a trial to see if they could do a 300hr course. I would have been satisfied if they had told me this before I booked and offered a lower price. The accommodation, food, and individual teachers were okay.

August 25, 2022 at 12:00 amThe groups were too big in size. There were two groups, each consisting of around 30 students. The yoga teachers, Faye, Eleni, Alex, and Ippo, were amazing. They possessed a wealth of knowledge and were always available for us. Angela was also fantastic. She put in a lot of effort and brought so much love and positive energy to everyone. The staff at Kosta Maria were extremely kind and caring. I also didn’t like that they sold a 30-person instructor training and then had two groups of 30 people simultaneously. It was overwhelming and I think smaller groups create a different atmosphere. I really liked the opportunity to experience another country and the incredible beaches. August 5, 2022 at 12:00 amI really enjoyed the course and my time there, but there are a few small things I would like to critique:
– Sometimes it was a bit difficult to leave the hotel, but that was mainly due to the infrastructure in Palairos.
– The food was good and they accommodated lactose-free/vegan diets, but the labeling and choices were sometimes a bit strange. I think they just need to practice a bit more and offer a greater variety of dishes.
– I wish we had more opportunities to practice our own sequences, but I understand that there wasn’t much time because we had to learn so much in a short period.
– It would have been better if the course was a couple of days longer, with less time spent on exams and more time devoted to our personal flows. I know it’s probably not feasible in reality (the other 200h courses I looked at were even shorter) 😉
– The planning wasn’t always perfect, and sometimes we didn’t receive information on time. However, everything still worked out in the end.
– Thank you for a wonderful experience! I’m grateful to have embarked on this yoga journey. The course was intense, and I learned a lot as I expected. I loved the friendly staff at Kosta Maria, and the location was beautiful!
I had many expectations before the course, and I’m glad they were fulfilled:
– I was hoping for challenging physical training, and it definitely delivered!
– I wanted to gain a holistic view of yoga, and there was a good variety of perspectives offered.
– I expected the course to be intense and focused, and it was mentally demanding. However, I’m still happier doing it in a shorter period than spreading it out over a year.
– I didn’t want it to be too focused on spirituality, and I appreciated that they introduced us to spiritual practices without pressuring us, like chanting. It was a nice balance.
– Overall, I feel like I’ve gained a better understanding of myself through this experience.
I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge I’ve received.

July 28, 2022 at 12:00 amI didn’t really like Gourrav, he was the only instructor that rubbed me the wrong way. He tries hard and has good intentions, but his communication skills are seriously lacking. I’m not sure if he just can’t express himself well or if something gets lost in translation. But his vocabulary is so repetitive and it drove me crazy during the Pranayam and vinyassa classes. It was disappointing that he graded our final exams instead of Himanshu because his feedback was completely off and didn’t reflect what happened in the class. He’s not at the same level as the other instructors at Yoga Union.
The workshops we had on children’s yoga and prenatal yoga were not very helpful either. Itta, the teacher, is a nice person but not a great instructor. She didn’t have a structured plan and it felt like she was just throwing ideas randomly. I would have much preferred to learn more about yogic philosophy or have an ayurvedic clinician come in and talk about doshas or yogic dietrics. We didn’t cover all the chapters in our textbook, so it would have been nice to go more in-depth on those topics.
But overall, I’m really grateful for this experience. The teachers were so passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging. I learned a lot about yogic philosophy, history, and anatomy, in addition to learning about alignment and teaching structure. The shala was stunning and I actually liked the large class size. We had two classes happening at the same time, so there were always new people to meet. One thing to note is that the Fire shala had a more beautiful space compared to the Earth shala, so it’s worth requesting to be put in the Fire group. Everyone at YogaUnion was amazing, from the housekeepers to the shala cleaners and cooks. They were all so kind and considerate. And the rice fields were such a lovely place to live and practice. And let’s not forget about the food – it was incredible! A perfect mix of Indonesian and global dishes, which made this vegan very happy. I’ll miss it so much.

July 27, 2022 at 12:00 amThe food could have had more variety, and after a while, it felt like we were eating the same 5 or 6 recipes over and over again. Plus, the food was often too salty or too sweet for my taste. But not everyone felt the same way ? It’s all just a matter of personal preference, I suppose.
Before I booked the training, I spent a lot of time reading reviews from former students, and I was pretty skeptical. It sounded too good to be true. But this training has completely changed my life. I wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to be a yoga teacher before, but now I can’t picture myself doing anything else. Nothing brings me as much happiness and connection to my true self as yoga does.
We were incredibly lucky to have formed such a close-knit group of students, with amazing and kind-hearted people. From day one, everyone genuinely cared about each other. We spent these three weeks in a loving and supportive environment where we could fully dedicate ourselves to our practice. I’ve made friends for life, and I feel incredibly fortunate for that!
Now let me talk about the teachers, Rachel and Ippoliti, also known as Ippo, Ippopo, or Chop Chop. They exceeded all expectations, and I’ll remember their teaching and personalities for the rest of my life, without a doubt. They didn’t just teach us what we needed to know for the exam; they also shared their experiences as yogis and human beings, and they’ve inspired me in so many ways.
Before the training, I had only been introduced to asana and pranayama. But learning about philosophy, anatomy, and alignment has allowed me to deepen my practice so much more. It feels like I have a vast ocean of knowledge about yoga in front of me, and even a lifetime won’t be enough to learn half of it.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Kostas and his family for making this training so special. Love to all of them!

July 27, 2022 at 12:00 amSometimes, we would experience organizational hiccups. Our communication regarding transport and scheduling could be a bit disorganized or delayed. We relied solely on WhatsApp for communication, so if you weren’t on it, you wouldn’t receive the necessary information.
When booking, they didn’t inform us that some people would be living off-campus. If I had known, I wouldn’t have wanted to take the course.
In my opinion, there were times when we needed to pay more attention to the physical conditions of the students. Not everyone was prepared for all the poses we attempted, resulting in some minor injuries.
During my stay, there were about 40 students split into two groups. My group had 21 students, but I was told that some months the groups could be as large as 35 students. The size of our group was manageable, but it definitely shouldn’t have been any bigger.
Personally, I would have appreciated a more comprehensive education in anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, and particularly philosophy. It’s important to understand that this course only provides an introduction to these topics. The experiences varied greatly between the two groups due to the personal style and teaching methods of the instructors. Overall, I would expect more consistency among the teachers.
Having said all that, I had a fantastic experience and would do it again! The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including anatomy, philosophy, alignment, and actual yoga practice. I enjoyed the holistic approach. Theoretical lessons were often taught with everyone sitting on the floor, which was tiring at first. The combination of theory and practice was perfect for exploring and delving deeper into the concepts.
The quality of the teachers was good, and they were appreciated by all. However, it was a surprise to find out which teachers would be instructing during your month, as they aren’t known upon booking.
The hotel staff at Kosta Maria were incredibly kind and accommodating. They were always ready to help and had a great sense of humor. You made this experience so special! The food was delicious, and the regular meal times and high standards were maintained. The cleanliness was perfect, and my room had the most amazing view of the ocean.
Lastly, I was amazed by the other students. They were caring, kind, and always friendly. It was a pleasure being in their company, and the sense of community made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We could always count on each other for help whenever it was needed.

Plus, the view of the sea during the courses is absolutely breathtaking. The beds in the rooms are so comfortable, and I love that we have air conditioning. The hotel staff is like family and they are always so sweet and helpful. And let’s not forget about the porridge, it’s absolutely delicious! Thank you for everything, this has been the most incredible experience of my life!

July 26, 2022 at 12:00 amIn my group, it had nothing to do with the training or the teachers. It was more about the people who signed up for the training. A lot of them were very judgmental, your typical close-minded Westerners who only see yoga as a workout and neglect the spiritual aspect. They weren’t open-minded or accepting, and there were a lot of little groups and gossip going on. I really wish we had accepted everyone and created a big group where everyone was treated equally. It wasn’t an enjoyable experience for me, but I managed to tune it out. Maybe part of the reason was that there were too many people in the Fire group. It would have been better if we had known in advance that there would be 30+ people in one group. Also, during lessons, it was mostly the same dominant people who kept asking questions. This made it harder for the quieter people to benefit from the lessons in the same way. So, it really depends on your personality. If you’re extroverted, you might thrive more in this type of environment. Personally, I didn’t like the food. The vegan option always left me feeling very hungry because there often wasn’t enough protein available. Some meals, either lunch or dinner, didn’t have any protein at all. On the bright side, the teachers and the training itself were amazing. Although we only learned how to plan 30-minute lessons, we will be able to use this knowledge to create 1-hour lessons, but we have to do it on our own time.

July 1, 2022 at 12:00 amThere were too many students for the training, and the philosophy class could have been more systematic. Also, they should have held the Alignment and Anatomy classes at a better location. Lastly, the food during the training could have been improved.

June 28, 2022 at 12:00 amThe entire experience felt too harsh and impersonal, not living up to the personal and spiritual atmosphere promised in their marketing. However, the owner of the main hotel, who prepared our daily meals, was really friendly and accommodating. Still, the food options were quite limited and definitely needed more variety. So, we ended up eating off the property most of the time.

June 28, 2022 at 12:00 amMe and six other students out of a group of 30 didn’t stay at the actual accommodation. Instead, we stayed at a different place that was a 5-minute car ride or a 20-minute walk away. It didn’t really bother me to stay somewhere else, but it was annoying when our daily rides to the main accommodation were almost never on time. Sometimes, we would end up walking and being late for class.
They advertised the training as Vinyasa/Ashtanga, but to me, it felt more like just a Vinyasa training. They did cover various styles of yoga like Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Overall, my experience at YogaUnion was fantastic. The teachers, Ippoliti, Rachel, and Eleni, were all very knowledgeable and kind. The classes were informative, and the teachers were always available to answer questions. The staff at the accommodation were also really caring and kind. The food they provided was always delicious! When I wasn’t feeling well, they took care of me, adjusted the food for me, and consistently checked if I was okay.

June 4, 2022 at 12:00 amI am so grateful that I chose this YTT. The training couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s still hard to believe that it actually happened.
There were several things I loved about it:
Helpful Review– The location was absolutely stunning. The shala was situated right in the middle of peaceful ricefields. It felt isolated, yet conveniently close to Ubud city center which was great for food and shopping.
– The teachers, Fay, Himanshu, and Spyros, were all incredible. They really pushed us physically during our vinyasa practice. Their sense of humor was crucial in helping us push ourselves and remember the important things. Even though it was a lot to cover in just 3 weeks, I had so much fun!
– The organization was flawless. Everything was clear, and the accommodations and meals were conveniently located very close to the shala.

May 3, 2022 at 12:00 amI’d appreciate it if we could get more information about the transportation to Palairos before the course. When I initially booked my flight (which was a bit tricky since it was during the off-season), the company unexpectedly offered us a car ride from Athens to the school. Consequently, I ended up canceling my original ticket and purchasing a new one. I must say, the facility’s service and the food they provided us with were absolutely delicious. February 25, 2022 at 12:00 amIf you decide to come during the winter, just keep in mind that Greece can get pretty cold. So make sure you pack some extra layers and warm clothes. Oh man, where do I even begin? I seriously had the best time during my teacher training in Palairos.
Faye is an absolute rockstar when it comes to yoga. She teaches in such a straightforward way that it’s easy to understand. She’s super clear about what she teaches and believes in, and she always gives great feedback to help you improve. She really pushes everyone to be the best version of themselves.
Laila is such a gentle soul and she has this amazing knowledge about breath work, meditation, yin, and nidra yoga. But what’s even more impressive is how she breaks down those difficult arm balancing poses. She’s a pro at it. And when you put Faye and Laila together, it’s like the perfect yin/yang balance. They complement each other so well.
And then there’s Jonas, the anatomy teacher. I can’t even express how much I loved his classes. He has this incredible talent for explaining complex subjects in really easy-to-understand ways. You’ll learn so much from him. But be warned, he’s got a dry sense of humor that’ll make you crack up.
I want to thank the three of them for such an unforgettable and educational teacher training. I learned so freaking much. I’ll be forever grateful.
The place we stayed at called ‘foodpath’ in Palairos is just a short 5-minute walk to the beach. It’s surrounded by mountains and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s a true authentic Greek experience. And the food, oh my god, the food was out of this world. It was so diverse and always made with fresh ingredients. Adonis and Elli, the hosts, put so much love into every dish. They were always there whenever you needed them and took care of everything. Thank you both for opening up your home and making it feel like our home too.
I definitely, without a doubt, recommend coming here for your teacher training. It’s an experience you won’t regret.

February 8, 2022 at 12:00 amMaybe having more than 13 people would have made the Indoor Shala a bit too cramped, but other than that, I can’t think of anything negative to say. Honestly, everything was planned perfectly and everyone gave it their all. A huge thank you to YogaUnion for putting together such a fantastic course! Everything was flawless. We had so many people looking out for us and ensuring we had the best experience possible. Faye and Leila were amazing teachers who pushed us and were always there to lend a hand if we were struggling with an Asana or theory. Jonas’s Anatomy classes were fantastic too! The atmosphere at the place was incredibly friendly, and the food was always fresh, delicious, and offered plenty of variety. The Hostel was lovely and just a short 5-minute stroll from the beautiful sea. There were 13 of us on the course, and I can confidently say that every single person had an incredible time and learned so much. I came to Greece without many expectations, but if I did have any, they were definitely surpassed beyond measure.

September 22, 2020 at 12:00 amThe accommodation in Greece didn’t meet our comfort expectations. We had numerous centipedes and other insects in our room every day because the door didn’t shut properly, leaving a small gap at the bottom. On top of that, there was no washing machine or closet available for us. They also failed to clean the rubbish bin in our bathroom daily like they promised. Instead, they only did it once a week, despite asking us to throw our used toilet paper in it. Additionally, the food they cooked was very repetitive, and sometimes there wasn’t enough for everyone. Despite these issues, the teacher training itself was absolutely amazing! If only the accommodation had matched its excellence.

August 25, 2020 at 12:00 amI would have preferred if there had been a more regimented mark scheme and feedback form for the final flow. Only one teacher watched us perform, and I think it would have been beneficial to receive input from two different opinions. March 6, 2020 at 12:00 amI really wish I could give a 100% good review, but our philosophy instructor wasn’t confident about the material she was teaching. She only spent 2-3 days on the testable material and then completely abandoned it to make us do exercises where we wandered around the premises smelling flowers and touching rocks. She discouraged too many questions, couldn’t stay focused, and gave certain people more speaking time than others. It was so frustrating because we were all supposed to pass an exam on very concrete information. I personally asked her to focus on the exam material and she told me that it was impossible to cover it in only eight days and defensively asked me how I expected her to do that. I didn’t think this was an appropriate attitude from an instructor. No one felt fully prepared when the exam came, and many of us had to cram philosophy.
It would have been really nice if they had given us the manual in pdf format before the training so that we could have had time to study in advance. Reading the recommended books definitely helped, but I think they should have been mandatory so that we all could have come to the training mentally prepared. The retreat in Bali is definitely a mix of work and enjoyment, so if we had more opportunities to put in work ahead of time, it would have made it easier to just enjoy the retreat. Our alignment classes were amazing. I feel so honored to have learned alignment from Himanshu. He is a dedicated, dynamic, and technical instructor. He knows so much and is really passionate about teaching yoga. Himanshu taught our class all the important alignments of yoga positions and gave us practical knowledge of how to use yoga. He personally pushed me to my limits and wasn’t afraid to expect the best from all of us. During my 23-day course with him, my strength, stamina, and flexibility all improved dramatically. I was able to try out new poses that I had never attempted before. We started teaching right away, so I felt fully prepared for my final demo. Himanshu took everything step by step and in a methodical way. He is also great at guiding his students through more subtle things like breathwork. By the end of my course, I was able to go deeper into my meditation and pranayama. He truly gave me the tools to become a better yoga practitioner.
