I didn’t have high expectations because their Instagram didn’t provide much information, but the experience turned out to be truly genuine and amazing. We were a small group of 8 people and grew close over time. I felt really comfortable around the teachers, staff, and everyone in the group. The food was delicious too (mostly Indonesian, like rice with different versions of tofu or tempeh and vegetables). The physical experience was great, and the spiritual aspect (which was new to me) was also amazing. Learning Hatha from Via was fantastic. She teaches you to stay calm and give just enough information without overwhelming people. It helped me a lot! But all the other teachers were also really, really good and eager to share their knowledge of yoga. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an authentic place with people who live for yoga.

I absolutely didn’t like how Aerial Yoga was taught, it was lacking in every aspect. After just 2 classes, without even explaining how the class is structured, we were told to create a group. Out of the 5 sessions, 3 were where we had to teach our classmates… I really didn’t learn much. I really enjoyed the teaching method of teacher Obi because you can tell that they put their heart and soul into it.

The place where we practiced Yoga and the props they provided were really unhygienic. It was such a dreadful experience for all of us who attended the Yin yoga session. Despite paying for the course, we had to attend classes in nearby studios. The lead instructor, whose name was mentioned on our certificates, was nowhere to be found. The food served was alright, following the satvik diet.

The yoga props provided here were of poor quality and not well-maintained. The mats and blocks were extremely dirty and probably the worst I’ve seen at any studio. I had to bring my own mat to avoid using theirs.

Most of the teachers didn’t really prepare us to become yoga instructors. They mostly just observed us doing yoga flows and rarely offered any guidance on alignment or gave feedback during or after class.

The accommodation was quite disappointing. The sheets and towels were stained and dirty. During my first 100 hours, there was no hot water in the shower and the toilet was broken. When they finally fixed the toilet, they just put a random board on the ceiling to cover up water damage from above. I switched rooms for the second 100 hours and had a slightly better bathroom situation. But even then, you had to ask for your room to be cleaned and for new sheets and towels.

However, I have to give credit to Azmi and Yansha who were amazing teachers. They were incredibly passionate and brought great energy every day. They made sure we were well-prepared to become yoga teachers and genuinely cared about our learning. I also really enjoyed learning from Obi and Veny, although their classes were more focused on being a student rather than teaching.

On the bright side, the food was really good. However, if you’re doing the full 200 hours instead of just 100, there’s a lot of repetition in the menu. It would also be great to have more protein options for breakfast considering the amount of physical activity we were doing each day.

Despite the downsides, I still appreciated my time here because of the personal growth I experienced, the wonderful people I met, and the incredible dedication of the teachers who were genuinely passionate about teaching us.

I had an amazing time at Aayaa yoga teacher training in Bali! The shower area was great, but what really made it special was doing yoga and meditation practices outside in the beautiful green surroundings with birds and lizards singing, especially in the morning. Afterward, we got to enjoy delicious tropical fruits for breakfast. The teachers were not only knowledgeable but also fun to be around. They really wanted us to understand and learn yoga and meditation from within.

I needed a break from everything, as I was feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Learning to meditate was exactly what I needed, and this experience was perfect for me. And it wasn’t just about yoga and meditation – I loved meeting new people who were also into healthy lifestyles. The food, nature, weather, sun, and massages were all amazing too!

Overall, I had a fantastic time and learned even more than I expected. I want to thank all the teachers and the Aayaa crew for everything – you guys are awesome! I’ll definitely be back!

The meditation classes felt a bit weird to me. The teacher kept insisting that his guru had turned a man into a stone and caused a plane to be delayed until his friend got on it. He also believed he had the power to control the rain, and even claimed that mastering certain meditation techniques could bring your pet back from the dead (he mentioned someone who did it). Personally, I thought these comments were completely out of place for a meditation class and they completely disconnected me from the overall experience. Although the environment was great and the location was nice, with a comfortable bedroom and a lovely yoga room, these recurrent and persuasive comments really bothered me. However, I have to say that most of the other teachers, like the asthanga, vinyasa, hatha, yin, and aerial yoga instructors, were really excellent. And I also enjoyed the pranayama classes, they were really nice 🙂

The hotel staff was very nice, but I struggled to keep my space clean. They didn’t provide any toiletries, not even hand soap in the bathroom. Additionally, I was only given one towel, which was personally challenging for me. However, please don’t let these issues discourage you. This course is definitely worth the value. I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was physically challenging at times, but just the right amount. The staff were all lovely and fantastic! The course provided detailed information, and I learned much more than expected. The food was amazing! I truly underwent a transformation and I’m excited to continue my yoga journey.

I had an amazing experience that exceeded all my expectations. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they teach. Via, in particular, taught me how to breathe in a way that I will never forget. Shanti was a special person who really knew her stuff in the Philosophy class. I am grateful for every meditation class with Hari, who practices what he preaches. Jaggy even called all the way from India to give us precious teachings on Ayurveda and Yoga Philosophy. And let’s not forget Ida, who taught us the Sun Salutation through singing.

The place we stayed in was perfect, surrounded by rice fields and natural paths that allowed us to take in the breathtaking colors around us while breathing properly. The food was not only delicious, but also healthy, and served with the biggest smiles. This experience surpassed my expectations, leaving me with more than I could have imagined. What I loved most was that the traditional principles of yoga were respected, which is becoming rare in Bali nowadays. Your body will definitely thank you for this non-Westernized experience of yoga.

The complex could have higher standards of cleanliness, although the dining and teaching/practice areas and our rooms were more or less clean. I want to thank all the teachers – Via, Igor, Shanti, and Ida – for sharing their knowledge and skills with us wholeheartedly, patiently, and lovingly. The course provided excellent learning resources, and it was our choice as students how we utilized them. The balance between the spiritual aspects of yoga and asana practice in the course was admirable. Thanks to the teachers, I truly realized the infinite possibilities that yoga offers as a practice. By the way, the food was delicious! Special thanks to Hari and the staff for always being there to help when needed.

Our teachers Via, Shanti, Ida, and Igor were very warm and open-minded individuals. They guided us extremely well and pushed us to our limits. The training woke me up and made me rethink a lot of things. My own practice now looks much more mindful. It’s no longer about being faster, higher, and further, but about what is good for me and how can I incorporate this mentality into my teaching. Thanks to these wonderful people!

When we arrived, the warning signs were already evident. I had to hop on the back of a scooter to go to a jewelry store and get cash for my course payment. The opening ceremony lasted only 15 minutes, with none of our instructors present. Most of our time was wasted filling out forms.

I only attended day one of the classes, and let me tell you, it was a mess. The teachers were not the ones advertised on their website, and they didn’t even bother to introduce themselves properly. The yin teacher clearly didn’t know much about yin yoga or seem interested in teaching it. Our philosophy and anatomy classes were just a continuation from a previous course, leaving us completely lost. On top of that, the delivery of these classes was very poor.

After day one, I immediately reached out to Aayaa yoga expressing my concerns. I even sent a second email, outlining my issues with the course. I hoped that they weren’t aware of how poorly their school in Rishikesh was being run. However, I haven’t heard back from them yet.

If you’re seriously considering learning yin yoga, I strongly advise against choosing this school. The only positives were decent food and a friendly building manager who was apologetic for the whole situation.

The Yin Teacher didn’t provide me with proper Yin Classes Training. It wasn’t up to standard. Yoga Alliance should know about aayayoga Rishikesh because they offer Certificates without completing courses. Deepak is not qualified to teach Yin classes or a 50 Hr Teacher Training. It doesn’t meet the standards. I left the course on Day 2 and the Manager offered me my Certificate.

It didn’t seem like a retreat to me.. it felt more like a hostel with some yoga classes.. and the Shalas are very basic.. they didn’t have a spiritual vibe.. and the floor was dirty.. the whole place needs a bit more love and dedication.. I actually really enjoyed it, but… As a non-vegetarian, I felt like there was too much rice, veggies, tofu, and tempeh. It tasted great, but it left my stomach feeling bloated. So, I ended up switching to just soups, which were delicious. Breakfast included fruit, pancakes, and fried bananas – the best meal! I wish I could stay there longer, or maybe even move there!

In my opinion, being taught by teachers from real Eastern culture is a completely different experience. It’s hard to put into words just how much it can open your heart and help you put your ego aside. This is something that I believe should happen to all Western people! The teachers are each unique in their own way, and their combined presence exudes a very loving and beautiful energy. They’ll have you laughing until your sides hurt, but they take their job seriously and are dedicated to teaching, healing, and sharing their knowledge. They’re always there for you and happy to help.

The multistyle yoga classes were perfect for me, as I was able to find the style that suited me the most and that I enjoyed teaching the most.

Bali, in my eyes, is the most beautiful country filled with the most beautiful souls.

There’s a swimming pool on-site, and the rooms are spacious with a beautiful view for watching the sunset. There are restaurants, bars, shops, and spas all within walking distance, and it’s close to the Monkey Forest.

I signed up for a one-week aerial yoga course at Aayaa yoga and ended up staying for a month! As soon as I got to the school, I felt right at home. Pabi, the manager, was super helpful and made sure I was comfortable. The other students were really friendly too. The classes started the next day and I fell in love with aerial yoga, taught by the amazing Konty. I decided on the spot to extend my stay and complete the 200-hour teacher training. Pabi and the management team were so accommodating and made it happen.

The rest of the classes, like Vinyasa and Yin, were great for all skill levels. The Philosophy class with Vishu was mind-opening, and Dwayne’s Anatomy class was detailed and insightful.

I’m so thankful for this experience, the people I met, the skills I learned, and the sense of family we created together. Thanks for everything!

If you’re seeking a laid-back retreat, this might not be the best fit for you. Most activities are done with TTC students, so you’ll be learning about yoga in addition to attending classes. Our accommodations were moved to a different place, which was not as good as the first, but Aayaa went above and beyond to make up for any inconveniences. Classes tend to start late, which can be nice for those who struggle to wake up in the mornings but frustrating for those who are punctual. Make sure to ask for all the details before applying, as the information on bookyogaretreats may be misleading. While the location is a bit farther from Laxman Jhula and the city vibe, it’s still within walking distance. Given the price, you can’t expect luxury service, but overall it’s a decent option. Being with the other students was a great way for me to learn more about TTC before committing. I even got to go rafting with everyone, which was a blast. The Ashtanga class teacher is fantastic, and you can join in on all the classes to deepen your yoga knowledge. The food was delicious and satisfying.

Although everyone tried to accommodate us as much as they could, there were times when they couldn’t provide for our restricted diet. Difficult to accommodate, and we appreciate their efforts This retreat exceeded our expectations. Our incredible teachers, Manish and Kounty, are highly skilled, experienced, knowledgeable, flexible, with a great sense of humor, and adaptability. Manish guided us through the complexity of spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga and patiently answered all our questions. Kounty amazed us with his teaching style, physical agility, and integration of yoga with dance, gymnastics, and fitness, all while maintaining a beautiful smile, great spirit, and wonderful sense of humor combined with the seriousness of a yogi. The teachers tailored their training to a diverse class and our family of various ages and abilities. We are at a loss for words in expressing our gratitude towards them.

The operational manager, Pabitra, and business owner, Manish, took care of us and fulfilled our requests. Our two chefs cooked delicious and nutritious meals and served them in a quiet and laid-back manner. Our cozy home, located just a short distance away from the beach with many charming restaurants and shops nearby, had the owner living next door. The house owners were very responsive and made sure we felt comfortable and well-cared for.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are grateful for everyone who came together to take us on this short yoga journey. A hearty namaste from our family to all of you!

The marketing is a complete lie, and I feel bad writing all of this because the teachers were nice but I think it is manipulative and dishonest from Marketing/Indian owner. The teachers did not live up to the advertised expectations. The accommodation was dirty with mold on the pillows, smelly towels, and poor shower pressure. The food was not Ayurvedic as promised, just budget meals that left us feeling bloated and sick. The yoga philosophy was hard to follow and we only received around 150 hours of training instead of the advertised 200 hours. The classes were repetitive and we never received adjustments. Overall, the course did not meet our expectations and the facilities were far from what was described on their website. Despite all that, Ubud is a beautiful spiritual place, and I am grateful for the experience. Thank you to the teachers who were kind and knowledgeable. This course is more of a yoga retreat than a yoga teacher training, but it’s a good opportunity for personal growth and spiritual exploration.

I didn’t like that the yin yoga classes weren’t up to high standards. The teacher didn’t seem prepared or interested in the subject. The day’s structure mainly focused on doing asanas, with no philosophy or prepared theory lessons. I believe there’s a lot more to learn and discuss about yin yoga, so it’s possible to improve the quality of the lessons (not just the practice). On the plus side, I liked the management and the rooms were in good condition. We had warm water in the showers and wifi. I enjoyed the Ashtanga yoga teacher and his knowledge. Rishikesh was also a place I liked.

I wish we had more time to meditate and learn about Ayurveda, but you can only learn so much in 200 hours. Overall, it was great! I’m glad I did this ttc. I met incredible people, the teachers were great, and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. The food was also very good.

I would say the only downside is the accommodation, it wasn’t very clean, but the value for the course was still good compared to the cost. If you’re looking for a 5-star hotel, this isn’t the place. I didn’t expect much, given the great price compared to other 200 hours YTTC in Ubud. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The instructors are very competent and helpful in all aspects, especially Via and Shanti. I couldn’t ask for more. I definitely recommend this place. Thanks for a unique experience!

I experienced my first yoga teacher training at aayaa yoga school, which was the perfect place for me to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge of yoga. The school taught four different styles, allowing me to learn diverse approaches that I can incorporate into my classes. The accommodation was lovely, with incredibly friendly staff and delicious cuisine that catered to my gluten-free diet. The location is near Ubud, but surrounded by rice fields, giving it a natural feel. The teachers are fantastic, sharing their experiences and wisdom generously. I highly recommend this school as the ideal start to anyone’s yoga journey. Best wishes, Theresa.

The wifi kept having problems and wasn’t working… which was really frustrating. I had to go to the cafe down the road to study, download movies, and call my family back home. But hey, that’s an easy fix in the long run! I had high expectations for the retreat, but they were totally surpassed!! I learned the true essence of yoga, beyond just poses (although I definitely worked hard on those!) The philosophy and meditation classes were my favorite, giving me life-changing knowledge and a new perspective that will stay with me forever. I feel so much calmer in my mind and soul now, and my body has transformed in just three weeks! As a beginner, the course felt intense but it was worth every penny. I am now confident in my self-practice and excited to share my new skills as a certified yoga teacher :). Huge thanks to all the teachers at Aayaa Yoga for their patience, knowledge, and care. They even organized a fantastic day trip to the waterfalls! And let’s not forget the delicious food – I couldn’t get enough of it! Seriously, I recommend coming here for the incredible value you receive. Thanks to everyone at Aayaa Yoga for an unforgettable experience!

I think the facilities should have been cleaner, especially my room, bathroom, and the yogamats. The food could have had more variety too. It was just white rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had informed the hostel that I would arrive in the middle of the night, but the room wasn’t ready. I didn’t have toilet paper, towels, or soap. It was not a great experience after travelling for over 24 hours to get there. However, the program was worth the money. The teachers were good, and the food, location, and accommodation were as expected.

I had only a couple of days in Ubud and I wanted to do some yoga. I found some nearby yoga classes, but I was looking for more of a retreat-style experience to really immerse myself.

Manish from the yoga retreat was super responsive and accommodating. I decided to join a yoga teacher training course and I was able to attend asana classes, as well as yoga philosophy and teachings. The teachers were fantastic and really knowledgeable.

Everyone at the retreat was really friendly and I enjoyed having conversations with them off the mat. This training course is still new and developing, but I loved the intimate feel and the small group setting. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

I had a fantastic experience at the yoga teacher training in Ubud. The accommodation was amazing, and the location was perfect. The yoga hall gave a nature vibe which made the experience even better. I quickly felt at home thanks to the awesome people I met there. The teachers were supportive and always willing to help. We had fun during the practice and learned a lot from the knowledgeable instructors. I loved the connection between physical practice and mental knowledge. Trying different yoga styles was a great experience. The teaching was professional yet relaxed, creating a comfortable atmosphere. We all became friends and had a positive vibe throughout. I highly recommend this YTT! I’m so grateful for the amazing souls I met and the opportunity to learn about myself. A huge thank you to Via, Shani, and Jagjeet for being so wonderful, along with my classmates. I already miss everyone! Sending love <3.

During my training, we were not lucky, there were construction works right in front of the hotel. The noise was unpleasant at times, but it won’t be for the next trainings.

There was a lack of dessert for meals. The training was multi-style. It allows us to discover yoga styles that we may have never practiced before. This makes the training more diverse.

The location in UBUD is quiet yet close to the center. It’s perfect for relaxing with a massage, eating ice cream, or going to the market.

The food is very good and the staff is very kind.

The only suggestion I have is to diversify the food a little more because I have a pretty sensitive stomach 😉 I took part in the 50h Aerial YTT, which was well-prepared and covered crucial aspects needed to practice aerial yoga safely and teach it without accidents or injuries.

The experienced instructor structured the course well and gave each student the chance to teach a full 1h class. The aerial classroom was available 24/7 for our own practice during breaks.

Communication with Manish, who organized the training, was professional and welcoming from the start. I was pleasantly surprised when asked for my medical history and food preferences before arrival.

Upon reaching the retreat, I was warmly welcomed by Parvitra, who made sure every student felt like family. She went above and beyond by organizing extra activities and accommodating student requests.

The place was clean, air-conditioned, and had good WiFi. Overall, great value for the money!

I joined a group for a retreat where they were training to be teachers. We did yoga in the morning and evening, with some extra activities. We had free time in the middle of the day, but it was too hot to do anything outside. The yoga sessions were practical and informative, but there wasn’t any spiritual guidance. It felt more like a hotel holiday with some yoga added in. The yoga studios didn’t have the spiritual vibe with no music, scents, or dim lighting. You could arrive any day of the week. The rooms were cozy and had AC. Pabrita was always there to help and give advice, she’s really friendly and willing to make sure you have a great experience. The massage was amazing and rafting was a blast. The food was good, but if someone in the group didn’t like spice, we all had to eat bland food which was disappointing in India. We went to a beautiful fire ceremony as a group one evening. Overall, it’s a great value for the money.

I had an amazing experience at Aayaa school during my YTTC. All the teachers were knowledgeable and engaging. We delved into yoga theory, asanas, and philosophy, and the schedule was well-maintained. Manish and Popi made sure we felt welcomed and comfortable from the start. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Thanks for everything.

I really enjoyed the new trainings. Whenever I had any concerns, they addressed them right away. The retreat location was perfect, and the teachers were all experienced and knowledgeable. I learned a lot from the alignment teacher, who was fantastic. The Ashtanga teacher, while tough, gave great adjustments and helped me deepen my practice. The Philosophy teacher was helpful and took the time to communicate with us. The food was delicious, especially the mushrooms and spinach soy bean milk cream sauce! The staff was friendly and even remembered my favorite drink. Manager Pabitra was amazing – she went above and beyond to make sure everyone’s needs were met. She even helped me during a hike and I was so grateful for her support.

I didn’t like how things were organized. It was a bit unclear, like the instructors were surprised to see me when I showed up on my scheduled date for teacher training, and I was on a separate schedule.

The facility was hard to find since the name “aayaayoga” isn’t listed on maps. I couldn’t pay with a card at the location, but everything else was fine! The people at the retreat were very accommodating, from the amazing manager Pabi to the kitchen workers. The facilities were great, and I loved the food, even with my extra tea and special pancake requests.

The yoga instructors were very informative. Morning hatha was a great way to wake up, and the meditation sessions at the end of the day were very relaxing. The ashtanga class was challenging in a good way, and Neeraj really helped improve my form, getting me much deeper into poses.

I also loved the rafting and had the best massage I’ve had in the past 6 months in Asia!

The “retreat” takes place in a regular hotel with non-Yoga guests who do not respect any rest time. They’re always loud and disruptive. The common area is just a living room, so there are no exterior spaces available for relaxation. This is definitely not the ideal place for a yoga retreat or teacher training. I can’t imagine lasting a whole month in this chaotic environment.

I didn’t hate it, it was just a bit unexpected. I wasn’t part of the retreat group, but I joined in on classes with others who were already there for yoga teacher training. It was totally fine with me, just something to note! As soon as I walked in, they showed me incredible hospitality. Everyone was so friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The food, classes, and people were all amazing, they really went above and beyond to make sure I had an awesome experience.
