The food could have been a bit more varied, but it tasted really good. Our teachers were highly qualified and were able to impart their knowledge very well. Everyone was very respectful and did their best to support us.

We went on an included trip to a temple and did a water purification, which Yansha organized wonderfully. It was a great experience for me.

If there was any problem, it was immediately resolved. All in all, I am very satisfied with the YTT and would book again anytime.

The training didn’t take place where they said it would, and the accommodation was not as comfortable as expected. The schedule was different from what was shown on the website, and there was no practice at the beginning until we asked for it, and they added an extra hour of yang-yin practice in the morning. The dates of the training were also different than what was announced – we finished two days early, so it ended up being an 8-day training instead of the planned duration. The excursions were not organized either.

As for the course content, I was a bit disappointed with the lack of coherence between classes. It seemed like there wasn’t much coordination between the different teachers. The whole training didn’t have a clear thread connecting everything together. It’s also important to note that this is an Indian teaching style, rooted in a different style of yoga. If you’re looking for a more Western approach to Yin Yoga, focusing on emotions and creating a caring environment for your students, you might be disappointed. Here, the emphasis is on Hatha philosophy and alignment in the 26 yin yoga asanas. The meridians class provided a good overview of the system, but it was a bit dry and didn’t explore the emotional or storytelling aspects of the meridians. Basically, it’s a very “by the book” teaching style, with limited room for inspiration and innovation for your future classes. I just finished the 10-day, 50-hour Yin Yoga TTC at Samadhi Yoga, and I’m grateful for the experience despite having to let go of some of my expectations during the first few days.

On the positive side, the food was really good, the rooms were clean, and the school we stayed at (Vinyasa Academy) was only a 10-minute walk from the center of Tapovan.

The area is beautiful, but it’s not safe for females, especially if they wander alone in quiet areas. The teachers knew their subjects well, and I learned much more than I anticipated.

You should know that Samadhi Yoga Ashram goes by several names. It may surprise you to find out that Samadhi Yoga Ashram, World Peace Yoga School, and Kundalini Yoga Ashram are all connected and under the same roof. So, if you’re interested in a kundalini specific program, this is the place to be. No matter which school you choose, you’ll be studying in the same building with students from different schools. Just wanted to make that clear so there’s no confusion. Trust me, whichever path you take to get here, it’s definitely worth it!

Now, let’s talk logistics. I highly recommend bringing cash to pay for the remaining tuition balance when you arrive. ATM options are quite limited here. Most of the time, you can only withdraw up to $100 US per day, and the ATMs often run out of cash. Alternatively, you can withdraw money from a nearby jewelry store, which is safe but charges extra fees ranging from 5% to 12%. If you prefer to pay with your card at the ashram, be prepared to pay an additional 18% on top of your tuition balance. Trust me, I learned this the hard way, so save yourself the trouble and bring your cash with you.

Now let me tell you about the incredible team and teachers at Samadhi Yoga Ashram. They are absolutely amazing! The teachers are top-notch, incredibly intelligent, and you’ll feel like you’re learning from industry experts. I genuinely felt like I was in college-level classes. Trust me when I say that you won’t find this level of teaching in any other yoga teacher training or online course. These teachers are highly experienced and some even have doctorate degrees. Everyone who took the classes was impressed and felt they got so much value for what they paid. We never wanted to leave, that’s how much we enjoyed it here!

Living in the Ashram is an experience in itself. It’s like being part of a hippie commune on a college campus. We ate, slept, and took classes together, creating a strong bond with our classmates. Even though there were some difficulties like intermittent hot water, frequent power outages, and the cold weather, I wouldn’t trade anything for the experience I had. Every hardship was worth it in the end.

This experience truly transformed me. I spent two months here, completing the 200 and 300 hour Kundalini courses at Samadhi Yoga Ashram, and I can’t recommend it enough for your yoga teacher training.

I wasn’t used to Indian standards, so I thought the rooms were a little off and not very clean. But overall, it’s alright. I guess I have to accept it as part of the practice. After a day or two, I got used to the situation and focused on the teachings.

It would have been great if the management and organization were a bit better. But I absolutely loved the teachings! The teachers are incredibly skilled and the lessons are really great.

I love how the different classes and subjects are interwoven to give a complete understanding of yoga and the practice. These teachers are the best, no joke.

The management and planning need improvement, along with the cleanliness of facilities and cleaning equipment. The food should be made more sattvic to enhance the spiritual journey. The teachers were incredible, passionately sharing their knowledge with pride. I learned a ton in a short period! It’s stuff that will positively change my life and have a lasting impact. I am incredibly grateful!

All of the yogis were highly qualified, so I could easily deep dive without having to rack my brain. The teaching methods that all the instructors applied were of high quality and had a great impact.

The meals offered were varied and balanced. It was just a bit too spicy.

The staff was very helpful and assisted with everything, even accompanying me to get a PCR test and pick up the results.

They even organized a small party for my birthday.

I am really satisfied with my experience.

I completed the 25 day online training in April. The welcome session really inspired me and helped me connect to the ethos and atmosphere of the school. Guru Ji is an amazing teacher and he is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic in all his sessions. He is also incredibly loving, kind, and compassionate. He helped me make sense of the world we live in and gave practical examples of how to live a yogic lifestyle, which can be challenging as a Westerner. Devesh Ji was an inspiring teacher who taught us every day and I made huge progress in my Hatha practice under his guidance. The online platform has a wealth of resources covering all elements of yoga and more. I’m grateful that I have access to it for the next 6 months because there’s still so much for me to learn. The additional free webinars, like the full moon meditations, were a nice bonus. I took three weeks off work to fully immerse myself in this training and it has been absolutely amazing. It has changed my perspective and I now know that yoga is the path for me. The course is well-organized and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for your hard work and kind attention.

I didn’t want the course to finish after 26 days. Learning directly from the masters in India, where yoga originated, was a truly amazing experience. They shared their knowledge from the Himalayan tradition, which made it even more special. Yoga has the power to transform your life, and that’s exactly what I felt throughout the course.

The teaching at Samadhi Yoga Ashram was top-notch. They covered a wide range of branches like hatha yoga, asanas, alignment, kundalini tantra, mantras, mudras, pranayamas, philosophy, bandhas, dancing, and yoga therapy. It was a comprehensive program that left no stone unturned. On top of that, we even got free extra workshops like “Moon Meditation” and “Kundalini Tantra Sadhana.” The amount of knowledge and guidance we received was priceless.

We had access to 40 live conferences and over 200 high-quality teaching videos. It was like having a library of wisdom at our fingertips. The manuals and books provided were carefully chosen and helped us dive deeper into our studies. It was evident that a lot of thought and consideration went into creating the curriculum.

But what made the experience truly special was the friendly atmosphere at the ashram. I always felt welcome and supported by both the staff and my fellow students. It created a sense of community and made the learning journey more enjoyable. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have taken my teacher training program here.

As the end of the course approached, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness. I had discovered more than just a course; I had found a habit, a path to spiritual transformation. I didn’t want it to end because I knew that this was just the beginning of my journey.

However, the Traditional Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Samadhi Ashram has truly changed my life. Guru Vishnu and all the teachers guided me on a journey of self-discovery. They taught me traditional methods and philosophy which have opened up my senses, both physically and spiritually, to a more beautiful world. I wouldn’t recommend this course if your main priority is learning to choreograph classes and learn ‘flow routines’. They will teach you the asana positions, but you will have to make the most of what you have learned.

I gained a lot from the course, but the online teaching element didn’t work for me. There were issues with the Bluetooth microphone in the live videos, so I mostly relied on the pre-recorded tutorials, which they are there for 🙂

For my next online course, all I want is daily yoga classes without interruptions, so I can maintain a practice that aligns with the program’s teachings. I just finished the 200 Hour Yoga Kundalini Course and I have to say, the staff and teachings were amazing! The pre-recorded videos were excellent!

I plan on continuing my studies with this Ashram, either online or in person when it’s possible again 🙂

If you’re interested in diving deeper into the Philosophy of Yoga, Ayurvedic (the sister science to Yoga), Mantras, and Breathing techniques, this course is perfect for you.

The Yoga Therapy/Anatomy class was the absolute highlight!

This course offers so much more than what’s required. Great job, World Peach Yoga School!

I loved how authentic I found teacher Yogi Vishnu. He genuinely enjoys supporting each student, both as a group and individually. You can really feel his knowledge and warmth, like that of a guru, mentor, and friend.

The structure of the course was professional yet flexible. I took part in the 200 virtual Kundalini/Tantra course, where you can learn at your own pace. The video sequences are divided into three groups: theory, practice, and philosophy. I found this arrangement easy to follow and appreciated having the lectures separated in this way. You can choose to buy the recommended books or use the supplied PDF versions. I personally bought the books but ended up using one of the PDFs. It’s a great option if you prefer ebooks or are on a tight budget.

I really enjoyed Yogi Vishnu’s personalized stories and his authentic approach. He is also fun and engaging, always greeting us with a smile.

The guidance on living a yogic life, including daily habits, managing a busy mind, and even navigating life from birth to death, was incredibly helpful for me. It helped me connect with being true to myself in all aspects of my life. Yoga is truly a way of life, accessible to anyone, anytime.

I want to express my gratitude for this beautiful introduction to Kundalini and Tantric Yoga. I am eagerly looking forward to continuing my journey with the 300-hour course in 2021.

Of course, connecting with everyone in this online environment and feeling part of the group is more difficult. However, the What’s App group and live events really enhanced the classes. The 200hr online kundalini YTT turned out to be a fantastic experience overall. At first, I had doubts about how everything would work out since all the classes were delivered online. But our instructors put in a great effort to ensure we could feel the positive energy, even from a distance. I opted for the self-paced program, which was super convenient alongside my regular studies. It’s great because I can review any videos whenever I want. Thank you so much for this yoga teacher training. I’m really looking forward to visiting someday! 🙂

I struggled to keep up within the 25 days due to my own lack of time management, life responsibilities, and the need to watch recorded live classes due to the time difference. It’s definitely a demanding program with a lot of information to process, but it’s something you should be prepared for when taking the training. However, the teachers are incredible and will support you every step of the way, which is fantastic. The course is meticulously structured and packed with valuable knowledge and wisdom. It went beyond my expectations, and the teacher and student community is unparalleled.

I feel blessed to have found this program. The teachings are genuine, and the teachers are extremely knowledgeable. The live classes were so interactive, and the fellow students added to the communal feeling. It’s like being back in school, but with the freedom to work at your own pace. The best part is that the program focuses on making sure we truly understand what we’re learning, so the pacing is perfect. I’m excited to pass on what I’ve learned to my future students and maybe even visit Vishnu one day! I’m incredibly grateful that this program came into my life exactly when I needed it.

I absolutely loved everything about my search for an online YTTC close to traditional authentic yoga. And guess what? I found the best one! It’s called Samadhi Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, also known as the heart of the Yoga Capital. Let me tell you, it provided me with a holistic learning experience and a spiritual ambiance that I felt deeply, even through the prerecorded videos.

You won’t believe the enthusiasm, contagious energy, and love with which Yogi Vishnu Ji Panigrahi teaches. He really went beyond my expectations in inspiring and motivating everyone. And I have to mention how excellent all the other teachers and the support team were. They made sure everything went smoothly and were always there to help with any issue.

I enrolled in the self-paced Kundalini Yoga program, which allowed me to move at my own pace without any pressure. It covered a wide range of topics, including Hatha, Asthanga Vinyasa, Pranayama, Nidra, Yoga Therapy and Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Kundalini Theory & Alignment classes, Bandas, Mudras, and even Dance class. I’m so grateful for the knowledge, experience, and support I received.

I could go on and on about how amazing this program is, but words can never fully capture the experience. That’s why I highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested. Personally, I can’t wait to go back for further training.

I had an amazing experience with the 200-hour self-paced online Kundalini teacher training at Samadhi Yoga Ashram! I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning about tantric yogic practices passed down through generations by the great Himalayan Rishis.

The program includes two live sessions every day – a Kundalini class and a Philosophy class. The remaining classes are pre-recorded, allowing you to learn at your own pace and according to your own schedule. The e-learning platform created by the school is beautiful and user-friendly, with videos, assignments, and a wealth of information about yoga.

I learned a variety of aspects of yoga on the platform, including Hatha yoga, Alignment and Adjustment, Anatomy, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Mantra chanting, Mudras, and much more.

Kundalini yoga is a deeply personal experience that requires balance in both your physical and subtle body before teaching it to others. The Kundalini classes in this program helped us find that balance and align our chakras, while also providing a clear understanding of the structure of a Kundalini class.

I am thrilled that I chose this training program and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to learn Kundalini yoga for their own personal growth or to teach others.

The live Kundalini classes with Guru Jogi Vishnu were absolutely amazing – they were extremely effective and well-structured. This experience will truly bless your energy system!
This course will inspire you to learn, practice, and grow even more, and it will show you how to transform yourself into a yoga teacher.

Hey there, I’m Lotti! Let me tell you all about our YTT. We put a lot of focus on Hatha, Kundalini & Ashtanga. Plus, we’ve got awesome classes on Pranayama, Yoga Therapy and Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Kundalini Theory & Alignment classes – you’ll find about 10-20 videos on each topic. Best part? These videos are pre-recorded so you can watch them whenever and wherever you want!

If you’re someone with a flexible schedule, we also offer live classes. Unfortunately, I can’t give you a review as I did the whole thing with the pre-recorded videos. But let me tell you, it was an incredible experience! I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who’s skeptical about online Yoga teacher training. It may not be exactly like a 3-week intensive training in an Indian Ashram, but it’s a fantastic way to deepen your knowledge, get certified as a teacher, explore yourself, align with your values and goals, and see if being a Yoga Teacher is something you might want to pursue.

I’m so certain about the value of this training that I’m already planning to do another YTT next year – this time diving into Iyengar Yoga and getting certified to teach children as well. In fact, I’m starting my first lessons with a group of 8 people in December, and I couldn’t be more excited!

One thing I want to make sure you know is that you need to have time for this! The YTT requires a lot of work – there’s theory to study and practical lessons where you actually do Yoga while learning what to be mindful of. So, to stay stress-free and in the flow, my recommendation is to fully focus on your Yoga journey.

    Namaste,

    Lotte

Hey there! I just wanted to give a big shout out to all the amazing instructors and support staff at Guru Ji for their incredible help in teaching us Kundalini yoga through this online course. They really went above and beyond to make sure we absorbed all the teachings, whether it was the physical motions, philosophy, anatomy, lifestyle, or even the importance of charity. It honestly felt like we were fully immersed in the practice, even though we were learning from a distance.

Although I would love to visit their ashram in person, they’re doing an incredible job spreading world peace through their heartfelt teachings, especially given the current situation. They made sure that the course materials were available both live and on zoom, so anyone from around the world could join in. And with the zoom classes and group messaging, we were able to connect with fellow students from all over and learn from each other’s experiences.

They were always super prompt and enthusiastic in answering all our questions in real-time as well as through messaging. They put in so much effort to not only impart knowledge about Kundalini yoga, but also to give us the confidence to continue practicing and sharing these teachings. I can’t recommend this ashram enough to anyone who wants to study Kundalini yoga with sincerity and an open heart.

Since I didn’t actually experience the physical location, I can’t comment on the accommodations or food, but the rooms where the courses were filmed looked really nice and clean. We even got a glimpse of the beautiful surroundings, which looked absolutely amazing. I’m incredibly grateful that I took this course and I can’t wait to continue studying with them in the future.

That’s just the power of mother nature, I guess. However, I am still happy that I can connect with Rishikesh right from the comfort of my home. It’s truly a blessing.

I actually completed a 200-hour online YTTC and it was amazing! All the teachers are incredibly talented and knowledgeable. The videos are made in a very professional manner. On top of that, they provide an online platform with numerous hours of pre-recorded videos, PDF books, and more. Honestly, one month is not even enough time to go through everything. The fact is that internet classes can sometimes be challenging during bad weather, but rest assured that any missed classes will be made up. It’s truly remarkable how they are able to effectively conduct classes on zoom despite the circumstances. The staff works tirelessly to minimize disruptions and address any issues promptly.

Since I couldn’t travel to India for my course, I decided to take it online during the COVID-19 period. I highly recommend any of their courses to anyone seeking to find a yoga course online, and here are three simple reasons why:

Firstly, the teachers here are sincere, dedicated, and incredibly knowledgeable. They are kind yet firm, ensuring that you learn yoga the right way.

Secondly, the teachings are grounded in traditional texts and wisdom passed down through lineages. The way they deliver the learning is both enlightening and transformative. Plus, you’ll receive valuable resources like PDFs and video recordings of classes.

Lastly, what sets this school apart is its founder’s vision of creating a school for the Himalayan girls of India. It’s not just another yoga school focused solely on making a profit. By choosing this school, you’ll be supporting a noble cause.

Finding something to not like would be difficult. If I really have to pick something, it would be the speed of uploading videos in the first week. However, I understand that it was due to bad Internet connections under the heavy rain, and the uploading progress quickly caught up after. I really enjoyed being included in the traditional festivities and experiencing what it was like to be at a traditional Indian yoga ashram. The classes were fantastic, the teachers were experienced, and we delved deep into the philosophy and origins of yoga, as well as its meaning. This course not only helps you become a teacher but also teaches you how to live like a yogi or yogini, setting an example, connecting with your students, understanding and loving them, and teaching them everything you know.

We had the opportunity to connect with our own emotions, energy, force, and the flow of knowledge, embracing both our masculine and feminine sides. It was also incredible to hear the stories and histories that shaped yoga as we know it.

The flexible arrangements and helpful staff greatly facilitated my participation in this course, especially since I have a full-time job and live in a different time zone. Nevertheless, I still felt included and learned a lot. Contacting the teachers and asking for clarification after class was easy, and my classmates have been kind and genuine, sharing their journey on our Whatsapp group.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Everything was excellent and surpassed all expectations. From start to finish, it was absolutely amazing. I was initially worried about doing an online training, but there was nothing to worry about at all. In fact, it far exceeded my expectations. The organization was top-notch, with zoom lectures held all day and recordings available in case I missed any. The teachers were incredibly supportive, even offering help via whatsapp after classes finished. Yogi Vishnu made us feel like part of the family and taught us invaluable life lessons. Their teaching came from the heart and their own experiences, not just from a book. I came into this training expecting to learn how to teach yoga, and I certainly did. However, I also learned so much about myself along the way and left this course as a much better person. The care and dedication from each of these amazing teachers led to a complete transformation in such a short time. I was truly sad when the training ended, so much so that I’ve already signed up for my next training with Yogi Vishnu on the upcoming Tantra training. The ashram couldn’t control the weather, but they did give us heaters in the classrooms, which was really helpful. The teachers were all knowledgeable and really nice. The instructors were absolutely amazing! They were truly inspirational in their knowledge, dedication, and outlook. My personal asana practice improved considerably and I was introduced properly to pranayama, philosophy, and meditation.

Vishnu, the founder of Samadhi yoga ashram, is such a lovely guy. He doesn’t have any heirs and graces or ego, he just genuinely loves what he does.

I went to India hoping to experience the true essence of yoga and its spirituality, but instead I found a village corrupted by the business of yoga. They were focused on making more money, teaching things on social media that didn’t match what they actually offered. They were running four courses at the same time, so the teachers had to rush from one school to another. The building shown in the photos was not where they ended up accommodating us due to lack of space, so we felt deceived. They placed us in a room that was very cold for pranayama class in the mornings and meditation class when the sun went down. The cold prevented us from enjoying the classes, and I even got sick with a fever. They didn’t do anything to help us, even though they saw that we were getting sick and freezing with blankets and layers of clothing. Specifically, in the holistic yoga classes, we felt like soldiers. They didn’t convey the true essence of yoga with their rushing, and yoga is not about pushing your body to its limits, or at least that’s what I’ve read… As for the food, it wasn’t terrible, but it was practically the same every day with the same spicy flavor. If you’re not tolerant to spicy food or if you are, but not used to it, your stomach will eventually suffer. They should consider this since they preach about having a good diet to be a good yogi… As for cleanliness, they should take more care of it. Most of the teachers are really good, and the reception and kitchen staff are super helpful and attentive to anything you need.

If you’re planning to do a TTC there, make sure to do your homework and study the subject at least a little bit before arriving. The teachers are all well-prepared and have a wealth of knowledge to share. It’s a shame not to have a bunch of questions you want to clarify for yourself. The meditation teacher, Yogi Bhavesh Ji, is absolutely amazing. He shared so much information with us in a gentle and loving way. The entire staff is great and they go above and beyond to please you and solve any problems you might have during your stay. The food is also good. I didn’t get an Indian cell service because I thought I could use internet phone, but turns out, What’s App requires a sim card for verification. So, when I got there, I couldn’t create an account without a working cell phone number. The class group used What’s App to share pictures and the staff used it for updates. I learned so much from the 6 different instructors, who were all amazing. They had a deep knowledge and passion for their subjects, and they gave us everything they had. The content was mostly new to me and it blew my mind regularly. The learning experience was intense and efficient, and I truly enjoyed almost every minute of it. Every day, we would go on an unplanned ‘daily excursion’ that consisted of a short drive to either a nearby location, like the school or a cafe. Despite my best efforts to suggest going for a trek or exploring nature, the teacher was resistant and didn’t listen to what I wanted. It was really stressful and disappointing, especially since I was the only student on the retreat.

The yoga practice was the same every day, and most of the classes were not taught by the teachers on the list. However, when a real teacher led the class, it was really good. The food and environment during most of the yoga sessions were also enjoyable.

The staff who check you in seem to lack a system in place, making it difficult for people to get private rooms. They can also be a bit aggressive for western taste. They asked to see my passport at least 4 times, and when I requested that they not hold onto it for extended periods, they became very rude with me. Even the guru was rude about check-in procedures.

The ashram itself looks a bit run down, and the rooms don’t match the ones advertised. My room, in particular, didn’t have windows or access to natural light or fresh air. It might be because I asked for air conditioning, though. Other students told me that rooms with windows were very buggy at night due to holes in the screens. Fortunately, I didn’t experience that, but my room was so damp that clothes and towels wouldn’t dry.

The yoga space is also in poor condition, with dirty carpets and lots of black flies that were quite distracting during our classes. The generator even shut down a few times, so we couldn’t have fans running either. However, despite all of this, I really enjoyed the teacher and the classes. The yoga studio used for teacher training and meditation on the upper floor was in better condition, but we only used it at night.

The food was bland and repetitive, following a sattvic style as it is supposed to be, but there weren’t many fresh veggies or fruits. Sometimes, there was no fruit or fresh bread available.

I really enjoyed our teacher, Sudeep Peshwal, even though he wasn’t listed on the teacher’s list. He’s a very young but fun teacher, mild-mannered, and patient. He also took us on excursions, and it was enjoyable to have conversations with him outside of the yoga studio.

The accommodation at Hotel Orion next to the retreat was terrible. The room wasn’t clean when I checked in and it remained dirty for the entire 5 nights of my stay. I had to make do with just 1 clean towel for all those days and there were no fresh bed clothes either. It was a completely unpleasant experience.

However, I did thoroughly enjoy the retreat itself. The landscape, environment, and energy were all incredible, especially during the day. The yoga teacher, Sony Deshwal, was fantastic and also served as an amazing tour guide, taking us to interesting places.

This program is intense, but excellent! You’ll have long days and be expected to give it your all. Prior experience is not necessary, but it’s important to have an interest in yoga at least.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet some wonderful people, with passionate and knowledgeable teachers leading the way. The coordinators have put in a lot of effort to make sure we have the best experience possible. The food is healthy, fresh, and incredibly satisfying (just remember to bring your own coffee or tea if you really need it).

Don’t forget to pack something white for the opening ceremony. It’s also a good idea to bring enough cash since the ATM isn’t working and the other one is a bit of a walk away. If needed, you can exchange money at a bureau.

I can’t wait to come back for more teacher training!

The cleanliness standard raises questions, as the food was the same every day. The timetable was quite demanding, leaving us no time to rest. Almost everyone fell ill at some point. The teachers really excel and are kind, and the staff in general are really sweet and ready to help. The yoga instructors possess a great deal of knowledge.

The food at the ashram is really good, but it can get repetitive after a few days. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to change up your menu. You have options like Soul Next Door, Little Buddha, and the Ganga Café.

Just keep in mind that the ashram’s door closes at 9:30 PM, so if you go out, make sure you’re back before then.

The mats at the ashram are never clean, so I recommend bringing your own or buying one in Rishikesh. There are many stores where you can find a good yoga mat.

The teachers at the ashram were very passionate about their subjects and shared all their knowledge with us students. I was part of the 200-hour Yoga Holistic and Therapy group, and the training was intense. You need to be mentally and physically prepared to work from 5 AM until 7:30 PM. But we learned so much from each teacher – Shakti, Phralad, Nikki, the Philosophy teacher, and our Guru Vishnu. It felt like being part of a big family, and all the students were like sisters and brothers.

Overall, it was an amazing experience of learning, not only about yoga but also about life.

The course was delivered in a very comprehensive and engaging manner. It was quite intense, but if you’re limited on time, it’s definitely worth it. If you have more weeks available, it would be better to spread it out.

They renovated the place, so now the building looks modern and the rooms are super clean. The bathroom, shower, and overall room are really comfortable too.

What I liked about all the instructors is that they are Indian, which gave me an authentic experience instead of a westernized version.

Be prepared for a lot of information because the daily schedule was grueling and intense.

The volunteers, Annabelle and Christian, were just lovely and accommodating. They listened to any suggestions I had.

This was my first teacher training, and I plan to continue the 200-hour course online with Samadhi.

If you’re a beginner or anyone looking to deepen their practice, I highly recommend the 100-hour course.

Vishnu and his team truly made my stay at Samadhi Ashram unforgettable. The family spirit was felt throughout my entire training, and I appreciated the cleanliness in the kitchen and enjoyed the food, although having more vegetables would have been a delight. They not only met but exceeded all my wishes when it came to my spiritual growth and yoga practice. I am humbled and incredibly grateful to all the lovely people at Samadhi Ashram for this unbelievable journey of inner and outer transformation. I hope to return soon. Sending love, light, and Namaste from Shanti. ?

The food sucked, man! I mean, it was so freaking repetitive and had no freaking vegetables!

But let me tell you something, the teachers at Samadhi? Those guys are freaking phenomenal! Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for better, more knowledgeable, and enthusiastic teachers, who also care a whole lot about their students.

Miyamoto Musashi, a poet and samurai, once said, “If you only focus on the end result and don’t take the time to understand the reasoning behind what you’re studying, you won’t truly grasp the art.”

And that’s exactly what Samadhi Yoga Ashram is all about – immersing yourself in the deep understanding of yogi studies. Let me tell you, my experience at Samadhi Ashram was absolutely one of a kind. Right from the moment I arrived, I was treated with utmost respect and a warm welcome that I can’t compare to anything else. They made my journey so much easier by arranging my pickup from New Delhi, which was especially helpful since it was my first time in India.

Once I got to the Ashram, everything was meticulously planned – from the cozy rooms and delicious food options to the top-notch yoga instruction and philosophy. They delivered it all with a genuine passion and knowledge that truly stood out. Guru Vishnu, in particular, is not just interested in selling you yoga poses or a certificate. He genuinely believes in what he practices and is always striving to educate and guide you towards a way of life that brings peace, serenity, health, and above all, awareness.

By the time you finish your stay at Samadhi, you won’t just have a strong foundation for your yoga practice, but you’ll also deeply understand the reasoning behind the ancient yogi philosophy. It’s an experience that goes beyond poses and certificates – it’s about embracing a way of life that encompasses all the benefits that yoga offers.

I wasn’t much of a vegetarian, haha, so I found the food on-site a bit challenging personally. But let me tell you, this ashram proved me wrong as a skeptical person. The staff here truly believe in what they teach, and they showed it to me with incredible grace. They taught me the value of self-discipline and finding happiness in the little things. Even when the instructors’ kids were running wild in the ashram or dealing with difficult students, these yogis remained the perfect example of being influenced by and in control of these practices we all came here to learn.

The instruction was top-notch, the staff were caring, and everyone was so friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in delving into the mind and soul of yoga.

The bed in the room is not very comfortable, you can easily hear noise from the neighbors, and the food is just okay. The schedule is not too well organized. However, Vishnu is very caring and accommodating, and he is flexible and responsive to feedback.

I suggest having a dedicated person clean the Bamboo room before or after each lesson and finding a way to keep monkeys away from there. We should think about rescheduling early morning and late evening lessons in the Bamboo room during winter because it gets chilly. I absolutely loved the joyful atmosphere in the group. We were just six amazing people who formed a magical connection with each other and the people around us. The teachers are young but committed to their job. They inspire and are always ready to help, answer your questions, and adjust the lessons to your needs (special thanks to Navkant for this). The Guru took great care of our practical needs and ensured that everything was fine with food, accommodations, and lessons. He also took care of our spiritual needs by taking us on day trips to holy spots and temples. The food was simple, balanced, and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place, and if you ever encounter any issues, there are people who are willing to go above and beyond to make things right.

Wow, what an incredible experience this was! We initially booked for the 100-hour course, but as we were in the middle of it and soaking up so much knowledge and love, we made the decision to stay and complete the 200 hours. And let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! We had the most amazing small group, and all of the teachers at Samadhi were truly inspirational. They radiate positive energy and are so eager to share their wisdom with you. I am forever grateful to them and will never forget these incredible people. Thank you for guiding me on a journey within myself, helping me gain knowledge through personal experience, and now empowering me to share that wisdom with the world around me! ??

This place definitely feels like a commercial operation. Some of the teachers were absolutely amazing, but there was one in particular who wasn’t so great. However, if you can overlook that, you’ll still have a good time here.

In my room, I often had to deal with water shortages and inconsistent temperatures, which made for some chilly mornings. But on the bright side, the location was stunning with beautiful views of the hills.

The food was simple, but surprisingly, I never got even slightly sick from it.

However, what truly made this trip unforgettable were the people I met along the way. Their presence and interactions will stay with me forever.
