Our program aims to give you a strong foundation in yoga, covering various topics like asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, and philosophy. Led by experienced yoga teachers, our 200-hour yoga training in Bali offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes both theory and practice. Throughout the course, you’ll have the chance to learn and practice different styles of yoga, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, while developing your teaching skills.
To meet the requirements of Yoga Alliance USA, our program follows a packed schedule, with each day dedicated to different aspects of yoga. The training can be intense but also incredibly enlightening. Make sure to arrive at least a day before the course starts to attend the orientation program, which begins with a yoga ritual at 10:30 a.m. On the last day, we hold a graduation ceremony that concludes by 11:30 a.m., so plan your departure accordingly.
Depending on the yoga school, mornings can start as early as 5:30 a.m. with meditation and yoga postures, followed by classes or lectures on philosophy and anatomy. Chanting and pranayama are also part of the schedule. During the training, you’ll be provided with two to three yoga meals, fruit refreshments, and green tea. Expect daily written homework to deepen your knowledge of the subject. We also encourage you to prioritize getting enough sleep, as it is an essential part of yogic practice.
Please note that there are a few books you’ll need to read during the course, and you can choose to start reading them either before your arrival or once you’re at the school. Since our students come from different parts of the world, English is likely their second language. However, our course is easily understandable, and our teachers are always ready to assist you. If you have an emergency and need to skip a class, please inform the teacher in advance.
At Bali Yoga Retreats, we offer a holistic understanding of yoga that combines multi-style practices with traditional and modern knowledge of the body. Our dedicated gurus are eager to guide and support you in deepening your yoga practice and achieving your goals. Join our family and experience the joy of discovering your true self on this transformative journey.
Please note that this daily schedule may be subject to change.
Sunday is a day off and we have organized excursion tours as part of the full program. You don’t need to pay anything extra as all the tours are included in your course fees.
The training will happen in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. The resort stands eight kilometers north of the busy center of Ubud, nestled in a peaceful area surrounded by green rainforest. The rainforest and terraced rice paddies, decorated with Hindu temples and shrines, make up Bali’s most famous landscapes. This stunning scenery will bring a sense of tranquility and help restore balance to your mind and body.
Getting around from the resort is easy, allowing you to explore famous attractions for the day, such as the renowned Goa Gajah, also known as the elephant temple. Ubud is widely recognized as the cultural capital of Bali, boasting the highest number of art galleries on the island. It is also a haven for skilled metalsmiths and jewelers. Aside from the unique experience of visiting the Monkey Forest, watching a traditional Balinese dance performance is considered a must-do.
We include a daily healthy breakfast in the price, so you’ll be well taken care of in the mornings. When you arrive, we’ll greet you with welcome drinks to start your retreat off on the right foot. We have fruits available at the reception desk that you’re welcome to enjoy anytime. And if you happen to arrive during breakfast, lunch, or dinner, feel free to join us in the dining hall for a delicious meal.
On Sundays, we provide breakfast only, giving you the opportunity to venture out and explore the numerous beautiful cafes and restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. Bali and India are both famous for their amazing food, so you’ll have plenty of tasty options to choose from.
At Bali Yoga Retreats, we believe in the importance of nurturing your body through food. Ayurveda teaches us how different foods can affect our bodies and balance our systems. That’s why our kitchen team, guided by the ashram, prepares all our meals with love and spiritual intention. We do not include any meat, eggs, or alcohol in our dishes, and we highly encourage our guests to avoid consuming those types of foods while they’re here.
Our menu primarily consists of vegetarian dishes, but we’re happy to accommodate any special dietary needs you may have. Just let us know if you have diabetes, celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or kidney disease, and we’ll ensure that your meals are tailored to fit your requirements.
And don’t worry about staying hydrated – we provide pure filtered water for our students 24/7, free of charge.
