I didn’t have high expectations initially because their Instagram didn’t provide much information, but the experience turned out to be genuine and amazing. Our group consisted of only 8 people, and we bonded over time. I felt extremely comfortable with the teachers, staff, and everyone else in the group. The food was fantastic too – mainly Indonesian cuisine like rice with different versions of tofu or tempeh and vegetables. It satisfied my physical and spiritual needs, which was a new experience for me. Learning Hatha from Via was fantastic. She emphasized staying calm and providing just enough information without overwhelming people. It was a great help! Although all the other teachers were also exceptional and passionate about sharing their yoga knowledge. If you’re looking for an authentic yoga retreat with dedicated individuals, I highly recommend it.

Sometimes, teachers cancel sessions and don’t cover all the material. But I really enjoyed the philosophy lessons, breathing exercises, and the practice of asanas.

I’m leaving Aayaa yoga, but I’ll be back soon. I loved everything about it! The teachers, staff, location, food, facilities, yoga, meditation, pranayama, morning jal neti, asana – they all exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much, Aayaa yoga!

I really didn’t like how Aerial Yoga was taught at all. It was lacking in every aspect. After just 2 lessons, without even explaining how the class was structured, we were told to create a class ourselves. Out of the 5 sessions, 3 were where we taught our classmates… I learned very little. I really enjoyed Obi’s teaching method because you can tell he puts his heart and soul into it.

The place where we practiced Yoga and the props were really unhygienic. Everyone who attended the Yin yoga session had a terrible experience. We even paid for the course and were attending classes in nearby studios. The lead instructor, who was mentioned on the certificate, was not present. The food was okay, but it was satvik.

The quality and cleanliness of the yoga props provided were terrible. The mats and blocks were the dirtiest and lowest quality I’ve ever seen at a studio! That’s why I brought my own mat to avoid using theirs.

Most teachers don’t actually prepare you to become a yoga instructor. They just watch you do flows and hardly ever help with alignment or provide feedback during or after class.

The accommodation was just okay. The sheets and towels were stained and dirty. I didn’t have hot water in the shower, and the toilet was broken during my first 100 hours. When they finally came to fix it, they randomly put a board on the ceiling to cover up water damage from above. For the second 100 hours, I switched rooms and had a better bathroom situation. But you have to ask for your room to be cleaned and for the sheets and towels to be changed.

Azmi and Yansha were two of the best teachers I’ve ever had. I really appreciate their passion and the energy they brought every day. They made sure we were well-prepared to become yoga teachers and cared about helping us understand the difference between just practicing and actually learning from the experience. I also loved Obi and Veny, although their classes were more focused on learning as students rather than as potential teachers.

The food was really good, although there was a lot of repetition in the menu if you were doing the full 200 hours instead of just 100. It would have been great to have more protein options for breakfast considering the amount of movement we were doing each day.

Overall, I ended up enjoying my time because of what I learned about myself, the people I met, and the amazing energy from the teachers who were genuinely passionate about teaching us.

I was very disappointed with the hiring of a yoga teacher. During the exam, she was sitting in the corner, either on her phone or looking bored. The food was great, and the location was also very good.

I had an incredible time at Aayaa yoga teacher training in Bali. I loved practicing yoga and meditation outdoors in the beautiful green surroundings while listening to the birds and lizards sing, especially in the morning. And after, we would enjoy a delicious breakfast of tropical fruits.

The teachers at Aayaa are not only knowledgeable but also fun to be around. They really emphasize understanding and learning yoga and meditation from within.

I was feeling stressed and needed a break from everything, so learning to meditate was just perfect for me. What made it even better was the opportunity to meet new people who shared my interest in a healthy lifestyle. And of course, the food, nature, weather, sun, and massages were all amazing.

Overall, I had a fantastic time and learned more than I expected. I am incredibly grateful to all the teachers and the Aayaa crew for everything. I will definitely be back!

I’d say the room was pretty basic, but it got the job done. The meals could use more protein though, because sometimes they didn’t have any.

The teachers were absolutely fantastic! Right from the start, I could tell they were all really experienced. I did the 200 hour course and learned way more than I expected. This place was such an awesome experience! The people I met during the course were amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was really delicious and the room, while basic, served its purpose. I can definitely recommend this school!

I found the meditation classes a bit strange. The teacher kept telling stories about his guru turning someone into a stone and delaying a plane just so his friend could board it. He even claimed to have control over the rain and said that mastering certain meditation techniques could bring pets back to life (he mentioned that his friend did this). Personally, I felt these comments were inappropriate for a meditation class and it made it hard for me to connect with the teachings. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant, the location and yoga room were nice, and I felt comfortable in my bedroom. Most of the other yoga teachers, like asthanga, vinyasa, hatha, yin, and aerial yoga, were really excellent. The pranayama classes were also enjoyable 🙂

The staff at the hotel were very nice, but I found it difficult to keep my space clean. They didn’t provide any toiletries, not even hand soap in the bathroom. Plus, they only gave me one towel, which was personally challenging. However, don’t let this discourage you. The course is definitely worth the value. It was such an enjoyable experience! There were times when it felt physically challenging, but it was the perfect amount of challenge. The staff were all lovely and fantastic. The course was incredibly detailed, and I learned so much more than I expected. The food was amazing too! I truly experienced a transformation and I’m thrilled to continue my yoga journey.

I had an amazing experience that exceeded all my expectations. The teachers were so knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. Via taught me how to breathe in a way I’ll never forget. Shanti was a special person who really knew what she was talking about in Philosophy class. I’m grateful for every meditation class with Hari, who truly practices what he preaches. Jaggy called all the way from India to give us valuable teachings on Ayurveda and Yoga Philosophy. And Ida’s teachings were precious, especially when we sang the Sun salutation together.

The place we stayed at was perfect. The beautiful ricefields and natural paths helped me breathe properly and enjoy the amazing colors around me. The food was not only delicious but also healthy, and it was always served with a big smile. I gained so much from this experience and I have more than what I expected in my mind. What I loved the most was that they followed the traditional basis of yoga. It’s becoming rare in Bali to have an authentic non-“Westernized” experience of this ancient art. Your body will definitely thank you.

Our teachers Via, Shanti, Ida, and Igor were very warm and open-minded individuals. They guided us very well and pushed us to our limits. The training woke me up and made me reconsider a few things. My own practice now looks much more mindful. It’s no longer about faster, higher, and further, but about what is good for me and how can I incorporate this thinking into my teaching profession. Thank you to these wonderful people!

Although our rooms and the dining and teaching/practice areas were relatively clean, the overall cleanliness standards of the complex could be higher. I want to give a big shoutout to all the amazing teachers – Via, Igor, Shanti, and Ida – for sharing their knowledge and skills with such warmth, patience, and love. They provided us with incredible resources for learning, and it was our responsibility as students to make the most of them. I really appreciate how the course struck a perfect balance between the spiritual aspects of yoga and asana practice. Thanks to our inspiring teachers, I truly grasped the endless possibilities that practicing yoga as a science offers. And let’s not forget the delicious food! Huge thanks to the staff, especially Hari, who was always there to lend a helping hand.

The warning signs were evident as soon as we arrived. Someone sent me on a scooter to a jewelry store to get cash for my course fees. The opening ceremony lasted only 15 minutes, and none of our instructors showed up. Instead, we spent most of our time filling out forms.

I only attended day one, and it was clear that the classes were a mess. None of our teachers matched the ones advertised on their website, and they didn’t even bother to present their credentials. The yin teacher seemed disinterested and lacked knowledge in yin yoga. Our philosophy and anatomy classes were just a continuation of the previous aerial course, leaving us confused and behind. On top of that, the delivery of these classes was subpar.

After day one, I immediately contacted Aayaa yoga to address my concerns. I even reached out a second time to highlight my ongoing issues with the course. I had hoped that they were unaware of the poor operation of their Rishikesh school, but I haven’t heard back from them.

If you’re serious about learning yin yoga, I strongly advise staying away from this school. The food was decent, and the building manager was kind and apologetic about the situation.

I didn’t receive proper Yin Classes Training from a Yin Teacher.. It wasn’t up to standard. Yoga Alliance should know about aayayoga Rishikesh, they provide poor teaching and give Certificates even if you haven’t completed the courses. Deepak ?? isn’t qualified to teach Yin class nor a 50 Hr Teacher Training. It’s not up to standards. On Day 2, I decided to leave the course and the Manager offered me my Certificate.

Kursleiter Suniel betreute uns während unseres Retreats ausgezeichnet. Vielen Dank an alle!

I think they should improve a lot! ?✨ The accommodation is not like in the photos…nor is it 300 meters from Laxman Jhula…and the hot water in the showers runs out very quickly. It didn’t feel like a retreat…it felt more like a hostel with some yoga classes…and the Shalas are very basic…they lack a sense of spirituality…and the floor is dirty…the whole place needs a little more love and dedication. I don’t like making these comments…but from my sincerest love for yoga…I believe there are several aspects that need improvement! They were very attentive and helpful!

I really enjoyed it, but I felt like there was too much rice, veggies, tofu, and tempeh for me as a non-vegetarian. The food tasted great, but it made my stomach feel bloated, so I decided to switch to soups instead. And let me tell you, they were absolutely delicious!

Now let’s talk about breakfast – it was the best meal! Fresh fruit, pancakes, and fried bananas, oh my! I seriously could’ve stayed there forever, or maybe even moved there, haha!

In my opinion, learning from the real eastern culture is such a unique and indescribable experience. It really opens your heart and helps you set your ego aside. It’s something every Western person should have the opportunity to do!

The teachers were all amazing in their own special way, and their collective presence filled the room with love and beauty. They definitely knew how to make us laugh, but they also took their job seriously and passed on their knowledge with such dedication. They were there for us and always willing to help.

Multistyle yoga was perfect for me because I was able to find the style that suited me best and it’s the one I enjoy teaching the most.

Let me just say, Bali is the most beautiful country with the most beautiful souls. The swimming pool was delightful, and the rooms were spacious with a stunning view of the sunset. We had everything we needed within walking distance – restaurants, bars, shops, and even spas. Plus, the Monkey Forest was nearby too!

I initially signed up for a one week aerial yoga course at Aayaa yoga, but ended up staying for a whole month! As soon as I arrived at the school, I felt so welcome and at home. Pabi, the manager, was incredibly kind and helped me settle in quickly. She made sure I was comfortable with everything. On the first evening, all the students gathered for a welcome ceremony and we instantly got along.

The classes started the next day and I fell in love with aerial yoga right away. Our amazing teacher, Konty, made the classes so enjoyable. I decided right then and there that I wanted to spend more time at the school and complete the 200 hour ttc. Pabi and the management team were incredibly helpful once again, even though I made a last minute request. They made sure I could stay and continue my journey.

The rest of the classes, like Vinyasa and Yin taught by Konty, were also fantastic. They were designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced students. I was particularly amazed by the Philosophy class taught by Vishu. He is truly an excellent teacher who opened my eyes to new perspectives. Dwayne’s Anatomy class was also incredibly detailed and insightful. He’s a wonderful teacher as well!

I feel so grateful for this incredible experience, the amazing people I met, the valuable skills I learned, and most importantly, the family we created together. I can’t thank everyone enough for everything!

If you’re looking for a relaxing and chill retreat, this probably isn’t the right choice for you. When you’re here, everything happens with TTC students, so you’ll be learning about yoga instead of just going to classes.

We ended up moving accommodations to a different place, and unfortunately, it wasn’t any better than the first one. But Aayaa, the host, really tried to make up for the inconveniences by providing extra blankets, heaters, and even calling electricians to fix the hot water issue. Whenever you have a problem, they’re always there to help you out.

The classes always start late, which is great if you struggle to get up in the morning, but it can be annoying if you’re the type of person who values punctuality.

Before applying, make sure to ask for all the details beforehand in your messages. The information on bookyogaretreats can be a bit misleading when it comes to what they actually offer and what’s included.

The place itself is a bit far from Laxman Jhula and the city vibe, but it’s still within walking distance, so it’s not a major issue. Considering the amount of money you’re paying, you can’t expect luxury service, but it’s still a decent experience.

Before signing up, I was considering TTC, so being able to be with the students was great for me to get a glimpse into what it’s really like.

We even got a complimentary rafting experience, which was a lot of fun and we did it together with everyone.

The Ashtanga class teacher is absolutely amazing!

You have the opportunity to join all the classes that the students are taking, so it’s a great chance to learn more about yoga, different postures, philosophy, and more.

Lastly, the food was really tasty and enjoyable.

The street next to the yoga retreat is quite noisy. I find the yoga philosophy classes very interesting, especially. Before the training started, I mainly did yoga exercises, but the theory has enriched and brought more clarity to my daily yoga sessions.
