I didn’t get anything back after thinking it over a lot. I would have liked the course to be longer, maybe with more time for discussions and delving deeper into the philosophy part with a group. And the teacher! Their teaching style is so authentic and they’re very knowledgeable. They answer questions patiently and interact with students in a very loving and supportive way. Teachers like this are rare to find. The Shala and the location were fantastic. I’m glad I got to experience this with such great people. The communication and organization were top-notch! I definitely recommend it and I can’t wait to come back for YIN YTT level 2.

The place, the classes, the teachers, everything was awesome. I learned a lot about yoga, both in practice and theory. The teachers are always there to answer our questions, they are very helpful.
However, if you don’t speak any English at all, this training is not for you, you need to have a basic level.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this training 100%!

I attended an amazing seminar that I will never forget! It was such a unique experience!

I got to meet so many positive people in a beautiful location with amazing food and the best teachers!

Himanshu Bahuguna is an incredible instructor with a genuine passion for Yoga and teaching. You can feel his enthusiasm every second of the training! It was such a gift to be able to train with him in Europe!

Faye Balomenou was fantastic! She supported us throughout the training and motivated us to bring out the best in ourselves. She has extensive knowledge in Yoga Philosophy, and I had the most incredible Yoga Nidra experience ever at the Palairos seminar with Faye!

I 100% recommend it! Don’t hesitate to book it! I’m already eagerly looking forward to the 300h training!

The Anatomy was taught in a very scattered manner and there wasn’t enough discussion about how it relates to different yoga poses. It would be better if the exam was done right after the lecture so that we can use it for our training. Himanshu’s teachings on Pranayama, Flow, and alignment were excellent.

From day 1, Himanshu, Faye, and the rest of us had an unforgettable journey. They made sure we had everything we needed, from practical lessons to theory and even extra support.

Himanshu’s passion for anatomy made learning easy and enjoyable. And even after the training, they were always there to support us.

Our three teachers together provided a comprehensive training experience. If you ever feel unprepared or worried, they will take care of it.

This place feels like family. Everyone is here for the same reason – to thrive in our yoga practices. By the end of the training, you’ll be ecstatic to have shared this journey with such incredible people.

And let’s not forget the amazing staff. They’re kind, generous, and hardworking, always making sure we have a comfortable stay.

So, if you’re interested in yoga, I can promise you won’t regret it.

I got so much more from this training than I expected! The teachers, Faye, Ippoliti, and Spyros, are incredibly passionate about what they do. They can really convey their knowledge and love for yoga in a clear, detailed, and even fun way. The teachers and hotel staff were always there to help with any concerns, questions, or problems I had during my stay at Kosta Maria. These three weeks of training were intense, but totally worth it if you want to learn more about yoga and deepen your practice. You’ll learn so many new things and realize how much you can accomplish with your practice. Plus, it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet people from all over the world and take your journey to the next level together!

I suggest that the groups should have different age options. Personally, I would have preferred a group with people aged 30 and above. This training introduced me to yoga in all its beautiful ways. The location was wisely chosen as it is a small, family-owned hotel where we felt at home in every way. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff treated us like family, always showing us love and being incredibly helpful. When I needed groceries, a staff member named Stella even took me to a nearby market, which was about a 25-minute walk away.

The training was intense, both physically and spiritually, and there were times when we broke down emotionally. However, with the amazing support from our instructors, we were able to grow each day. Faye and Ippo, our instructors, were perfect in their own unique ways. Faye’s alignment classes and Ippo’s pranayama classes were truly one-of-a-kind. Despite having less time together, our anatomy instructor Sypros was also an exceptional person who showed great passion for anatomy and motivated us in many ways.

Overall, this experience was incredible for me personally. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a love for yoga and the dedication and time to commit to it. ???

I absolutely loved my 200h vinyasa teacher training with YogaUnion in June 2023 in Ubud, Bali. It was truly life-changing. The group of teachers there were amazing and I learned everything I wanted to about yoga. Not only did I get to practice pure yoga, but I also formed incredible connections with peers from around the world and had a deep personal journey.

I have to give a special shout out to my lead teacher, Himanshu. He is hands down the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had. His knowledge of yoga is incredible, covering everything from asanas to pranayama and philosophies. He’s also incredibly experienced in working with students of all backgrounds and skill levels. But what sets Himanshu apart is his boundless passion for what he does and his unwavering willingness to support students in any way possible.

And it’s not just me who feels this way. I know my classmates feel the same. Himanshu is the heart and soul of this training program. We are so lucky to have him, and the world needs more teachers like him!

This 200 hour Vinyasa YTT in Paleros surpassed all my expectations. Faye Balomenou is an incredibly enthusiastic yoga teacher who shares an abundance of knowledge. The alignment classes were precise and thorough, showcasing Faye’s experience and confidence as a teacher. The practices were intense and motivating, leaving me feeling empowered. Eleni Chantzara is the perfect complement to Faye, offering thoughtful and valuable teachings in Pranayama and various workshops. Her flows and energy are gentle and beautiful. Spyros Kapitsinos teaches captivating and original anatomy classes, keeping students engaged even after long practices. His knowledge and dedication empower students in their own yoga practice and teaching.

The hotel is located in a stunning spot, just a short half-hour walk outside of Paleros town. It has its own private beach accessible by a few staircases. If walking isn’t your thing, there’s also a pool. The views of the sea and mountains are absolutely breathtaking. The Shala’s, both upper and lower, combined with the scenery create a fantastic atmosphere for practicing yoga. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the food is fresh, varied, and tasty. It’s mostly a healthy/vegetarian take on Greek dishes, although some may find it a bit heavy. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

The food tasted really good and was quite tasty. Just a couple of recommendations though: it would be nice to have more variety in the cereal and fruit options for breakfast. Personally, I prefer the porridge to be less like soup and more thick. Also, instead of having stuffed bell peppers and tomatoes for the third time, it would be great if they could replace it with another dish.

I have to say, this yoga teacher training went above and beyond my expectations. The teachers were absolutely amazing, we couldn’t have asked for better ones. They showered us with their knowledge in such a professional and dedicated way, it’s like yoga became a part of our body, mind, and soul. Trust me, it’s an incredible feeling. Coming home, I felt like my true self and was inspired to continue my own practice and teach others, which I didn’t expect after just three weeks.

Of course, there were ups and downs along the way. Sometimes it felt like a rollercoaster ride, both physically and mentally. But it was necessary to push ourselves to our limits in order to discover what we’re truly capable of and blossom, just like every woman in the group did.

Fay is like a diamond, with so many different sides to her personality and teaching methods. She was critical when needed, in order to help us understand our practice, but also had us laughing like crazy. Eleni, on the other hand, has such a beautiful soul that you can’t help but be drawn to her teachings on breathing and meditation. She presents them in such a desirable way and makes the techniques easy to grasp. And her flows during the yoga sessions were killer!

Spyros made Anatomy class fun and interesting with his humor. Surprisingly, I was able to remember all the important topics for the exam without much difficulty.

The KostaMaria Family and staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and the rooms were super clean. Plus, the best part was that just 106 steps away, you could dip into crystal clear water with a breathtaking view. Don’t miss out on that!

I recommend bringing your own yoga mat or a travel version to put over the existing mats. The training took place in the Earth shala of YogaUnion in the beautiful rice fields of Ubud. The accommodation was conveniently located right next to the shala, only 2 meters away. While there wasn’t a pool on site, you could use the pools at nearby places where some of the other participants stayed. The restaurant where we had our meals was just a 3-minute walk away.
In the area, there are some great spas and cafes to explore. Each day brought something different, so there was always something for everyone’s taste in the buffet.
Gourav, our main teacher, has extensive knowledge in yoga, pranayama, and alignment of the asanas. He will prepare you excellently for becoming a yoga teacher. I also want to mention Menik, our amazing anatomy teacher, who was able to answer every single one of our questions and link the anatomy information with yoga poses. Laila, our philosophy teacher, has a unique energy and a soothing voice. She also offers a 50-hour yin yoga teacher training.
We had a variety of yoga classes like yin, restorative, acro, ashtanga, nidra, but our focus was mainly on vinyasa. The classes were more intermediate level, but you would learn and grow stronger each day.
Our group consisted of 19 wonderful participants who made the training enjoyable and created a truly special experience. I highly recommend it!

The food may have been a bit greasy for a yoga retreat, even though it was delicious! We could have had more time for the anatomy classes, which could have been great. Our Vinyasa teacher is extraordinary – their classes are both demanding and filled with a special gentleness. The Yin, Nidra, and Restorative classes were also fantastic! I loved everything, but sometimes the restaurant was too crowded and they always ran out of food. But overall, I really enjoyed it because of how well everyone took care of us. Himanshu is amazing with his knowledge. Even though there were 30 of us, he was able to care for and teach each and every one of us. Laila is such a loving and motivated person. She inspired and filled my soul with love. Fabien was always there during the training, correcting me whenever I made a mistake. I’m so grateful that he was there with me. Sometimes, he would give me a look and say, “You can do it, Sherin.” It meant a lot to me. Luca is like a ray of sunshine in our group. He was always there for us, even when we had personal problems. He protected us emotionally, and his smile and positive energy were so powerful that we never felt alone.

Gustis Garden water Shala had rooms that were filled with mold and my belongings, such as clothes and shoes, were ruined. I felt like I paid too much for the accommodation. Luckily, I brought my own yoga mat because the ones provided were dirty and stained. They smelled bad too! The Wi-Fi was incredibly weak and slow.

However, despite the disappointing facilities, the training itself was fantastic. It was an unforgettable experience, and I found a second family among my fellow trainees. I am especially grateful to have had Himanshu Bahuguna as my mentor and trainer. His teachings have made me a yoga teacher, and I know that the knowledge I gained from him will be valuable throughout my career.

Last year, a friend recommended that I do my YTT with YogaUnion, and I’m so happy that I followed their advice. These three weeks spent with the beautiful souls at YogaUnion have been life-changing. I want to express my gratitude to everyone there for being so professional, kind, and open-minded. I’ve learned so much from all of you.

I will definitely recommend YogaUnion’s training to all my friends who are interested in doing YTT. Whether it’s in Bali or Greece, I believe they will have a transformative experience just like I did.

I’m already looking forward to the 300h YTT next year with YogaUnion, and wherever Himanshu teaches, I will make sure to follow. Thank you all once again, and I hope to see you very soon. ?????

Unfortunately, I had some uncomfortable experiences with the location. The videos and photos I had seen on the site for the past 5 years showed rice fields, but when I arrived, the place wasn’t the same. It turns out there are actually 3 different venues, and it wasn’t clear to us that this was a different one being used because the first one was fully booked. It would be helpful in the future if they inform us about the different venues so we can choose the specific one we want, like the rice fields instead of the down rabbit hole.

I also had a privacy issue with the neighbor, but thankfully Ourania, the owner of Yoga Union, was very thoughtful and is taking measures to ensure this kind of inconvenience doesn’t happen again. Other than that, the place is nice, the bedrooms are new, and the staff are very kind, especially the instructors. They all have a high level of knowledge and a good attitude. They always ask us if we have any questions and make sure we have all the information we need.

I want to give a special thanks to Marina and Anna Viktoria for their amazing classes filled with kindness, love, and enthusiasm. You guys will be in my heart forever! And a big thank you to Gourav and Laila as well, you guys are amazing and incredibly talented teachers. Lastly, I want to thank Menik, my incredible anatomy teacher. You made learning about fascia and tendons so exciting!

People with varied levels of yoga experience may not benefit as much from the training because instructors are forced to slow down their teaching. However, this could be an issue with other yoga teacher training programs as well. Personally, I find sessions like Kriya & Cacao ceremony to be irrelevant. I prefer yoga workshops that focus on skills that will directly impact my practice and teaching. It is important to have knowledgeable and patient instructors, as well as excellent accommodations and meals. The staff is incredibly sweet and the yoga workshops are excellent. The location is conveniently close to Ubud center. The shala itself is clean, well maintained, and has an intimate atmosphere.

The Teacher Training exceeded my expectations. I have to admit, as a fairly new Yoga practitioner, the tight and packed schedule could be quite challenging at times. But it was amazing to see how I gradually grew in my yoga practice and on a personal level.

Yoga is so much more than physical exercise. Our Philosophy classes helped me implement the Yogic lifestyle into my daily life outside of the mat.

My accommodation in the rice fields was wonderful and clean, just a few minutes from the shala. Students are spread out in guest houses throughout the rice fields. Plus, the food at the restaurant was suuuuuuper delicious.

Let me tell you, our philosophy and anatomy teachers are absolutely amazing! I adore them. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, although I do think they could be a tad more prepared for some of the questions they get bombarded with.

And let me tell you about the people you meet at the YTT! They’re simply incredible, from the teachers to your fellow “classmates” and even the staff at the restaurant and accommodation.

Now, our Vinyasa and alignment teacher, Gourav, he’s a real gem! He’s not only super knowledgeable but also funny, and attending his classes is always a delight.

You’re going to learn so much during this experience, and everyone is always ready to lend a hand and answer your questions. The support is just amazing!

Honestly, it was one of the most touching and beautiful experiences of my life. There were even moments where I couldn’t help but shed some happy tears in class. I highly recommend it, and if I had the chance, I would do it all over again tomorrow!

It just didn’t meet my expectations. They had promised us a different yoga teacher along with Himansu, but we didn’t receive that. I had also signed up to learn other styles of yoga like Tantra, Yin, and Pregnancy yoga, in addition to Ashtanga and Vinyasa. However, besides a one-off class, we weren’t properly educated on these styles to be able to teach them confidently in our own practice.

The course focused on asana and the mind, but it was lacking in soul and leadership skills. Our group was quite challenging to deal with, as some members were opinionated and sometimes rude. They would fall asleep during lessons, skip class, meditate lying down, and even be on their phones. There was no real leader to control this behavior.

Overall, it felt like a trial course to test if they could offer a 300-hour program. I would have been satisfied if they had informed me of this beforehand and adjusted the price accordingly. The accommodation and food were okay, as were the individual teachers.

I felt lost when it came to putting together a resume for teaching jobs, and I didn’t have much knowledge about yoga alliance or the practical aspects of working in a studio. For instance, I wasn’t sure if I needed liability insurance. These were the things I wanted to learn. The hotel staff and everyone there were incredibly nice, friendly, and always ready to help. The folks at yoga union put in a lot of effort to make the experience special and wonderful. They took care of everything, and those three weeks were completely stress-free! The food was incredible, and we had the best instructors.

Chris invited us to an amazing class experience at a resort with live music, and it was so cool! He taught in a way that was easy to follow and engage with, and he’s just a super fun and chilled person. The food and cafe area at the resort were lovely!
The rice fields surrounding the area were great, and it was so calming to be there. Plus, there were two massage places nearby, which was a bonus! My accommodation was a home stay, and it was absolutely lovely.

The groups were too big, with around 30 students in each. I really wished they were smaller so that we could have a better connection with our teachers and get more help with our progress. The yoga teachers, Faye, Eleni, Alex, and Ippo, were amazing. They had so much knowledge and were always there for us. Angela was also great, working hard and spreading love and good vibes. The staff at Kosta Maria were incredibly lovely. They took care of each one of us, which wasn’t easy considering the various allergies and dietary preferences. They always provided fresh, tasty food. They did an excellent job!

I didn’t like the philosophy classes at all and I wasn’t particularly fond of the alignment methodology either. It bothered me that they sold a training for 30 people and then had two groups of 30 people at the same time. It was overwhelming and I think smaller groups create a different atmosphere. I really enjoyed the opportunity to experience another country and the amazing beaches. The quality of the vinyasa classes was excellent, but the learning methodology was lacking at times. The food was delicious and local, which I didn’t expect, but it surprised me and I liked it. What resonated with me the most was the group of people I met.

I really liked the course and my time there, but I do have a few small critiques. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to leave the hotel, but that’s mainly because of the infrastructure in Palairos. The food was good, and they accommodated lactose-free/vegan diets. However, the signage and the selections were sometimes a bit strange, so I think they just need to practice a bit more and come up with more varied dishes.

I would have liked to have more opportunities to practice our own sequences, but I understand that there wasn’t much time for it since we had to learn so much in a short amount of time. Personally, I would have preferred the course to be a couple of days longer, with less time spent on exams, so that the teachers could have more time with each of our personal flows. I know that might not be possible in real life though, considering that even the other 200h courses I looked at were even shorter!

Not everything was always well planned, and sometimes we didn’t receive information promptly, but everything still worked out in the end. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’m grateful to have embarked on this yoga journey. The course was intense, as I expected, but I learned a lot. I especially loved the kind staff at Kosta Maria and the beautiful location.

Before the course, I had several expectations, and I’m happy to say that they were all fulfilled. I hoped for physically challenging training, and it definitely was! I wanted to learn a holistic view on yoga, and there was a good variety of perspectives presented to us. I also expected the course to be intense and focused, and it was mentally demanding, but I’m glad I chose this over a year-long 200h course. I didn’t want it to be too spiritual, and they struck a nice balance by providing introductions to the spiritual world without pressuring us into it, such as with chanting. Lastly, I wanted to understand myself better, and I truly do now. I feel incredibly grateful for all the knowledge I gained.

The chefs made the food with love but it simply didn’t meet our standards. They didn’t offer any fresh juices, hardly any fresh fruit, and the meals in general weren’t great. The menu had way too much processed soya, not enough variety of vegetables, and it wasn’t very balanced. If they had added a little creativity to the menu, it would have made all the difference.

But let me tell you, the instructors were absolutely amazing and you couldn’t ask for a better location.

I really didn’t like Gourrav. He’s a well-intentioned instructor, but he has absolutely no communication skills. I’m not sure if he just can’t express himself well or if his thoughts get lost in translation. His Pranayam and vinyassa classes drove me crazy because he kept using the same words over and over again. It was disappointing when he graded our final exams instead of Himanshu because his feedback was terrible and didn’t match what actually happened in class. He’s just not up to par with the other instructors at Yoga Union!

The workshops on children’s yoga and prenatal yoga with Itta weren’t very helpful either. She’s a great person but not a good teacher. She had no structure to her classes and it felt like she was just making things up as she went along. I would have much preferred to learn about yogic philosophy or have an ayurvedic clinician come in to talk about the doshas or yogic diet.

But overall, I’m really grateful for this experience! The teachers at Yoga Union were passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging. I learned so much about yogic philosophy, history, anatomy, and teaching structure. The shala was beautiful and I actually enjoyed the large class size. Having two classes happening at the same time meant there were always new people to meet. The Fire shala had a much nicer space than the Earth shala though, so I recommend asking to be in the Fire group. Everyone at Yoga Union was amazing to get to know – the housekeepers, shala cleaners, and cooks were all thoughtful, generous, and kind. Living and practicing in the rice fields was a beautiful experience. And let’s not forget about the food! I’ll miss it so much. They had a perfect mix of Indonesian and global dishes, which was great for me as a vegan.

Sometimes, we encountered some organizational hiccups. Our communication regarding transportation and scheduling could be a bit disorganized or delayed. We relied heavily on word-of-mouth for information, only using WhatsApp for communication. If you weren’t on WhatsApp, you would miss out on important information.

When booking, we weren’t informed that some people would be living off-campus. If I had known this, I wouldn’t have wanted to take the course.

In my opinion, there were moments when we needed to pay more attention to the physical conditions of the students. Not everyone was prepared for all the poses we attempted, and there were a few minor injuries.

During my stay, the total of about 40 students was divided into two groups. The group I was in had 21 students. However, I was told that some months, groups can be as large as 35 students. The group size was alright, but it definitely shouldn’t have been any bigger.

Personally, I would have appreciated a more thorough education in anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, and especially philosophy. It’s important to realize that this course only serves as an introduction to these topics. The experience varied greatly between the two groups, as it depended largely on the personal styles and teaching methodologies of the teachers. All in all, I would expect more alignment among the teachers.

With that being said, I had an amazing experience and would do it again! The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including anatomy, philosophy, alignment, and actually practicing yoga. I enjoyed the holistic approach. We had more theoretical lessons, and we all sat on the floor, which was exhausting at first. The combination of theory and practice was perfect for exploring and delving deeper into the concepts.

The quality of the teachers was good and they were appreciated by everyone. However, it was a surprise to find out who would be teaching during the month you were there, as teachers were not known in advance when booking.

The staff at Kosta Maria hotel were incredibly kind and accommodating. They were always ready to help and had a great sense of humor. They made our stay very special! The food was delicious, and meal times were consistent. The general standard was maintained, and the cleanliness was perfect. My room had the best view of the ocean.

Lastly, I was amazed by the other students. They were caring, kind, and always friendly. It was a pleasure to be around this community, and they were always willing to help when needed.

The food could have had more variety, and after a while, it felt like we were eating the same 5 or 6 recipes over and over again. Plus, sometimes the food was too salty or too sweet for my liking. But not everyone had the same opinion ? I guess it’s just a matter of personal taste. Before I booked the training, I spent a lot of time reading reviews from former students, and I was skeptical. It seemed too good to be true. But this training completely changed my life. I wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to be a yoga teacher before, but now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Yoga makes me so happy and connected to my true self like nothing else can.
We were really lucky to have such an amazing group of students. Everyone was so beautiful and sweet, and from the very beginning, we genuinely cared about each other. We spent these three weeks in a loving and supportive environment where we felt safe to fully dedicate ourselves to our practice. I’ve made friends for life, and I feel incredibly fortunate about that!
Now, let me tell you about the teachers, Rachel and Ippoliti aka Ippo or Ippopo or Chop Chop. They exceeded all expectations, and I’ll remember their teaching and their personalities for the rest of my life, no doubt. They not only taught us what we needed to know for the exam, but they also shared their experiences as yogis and as human beings. They inspired me in so many ways.
Before the training, I only knew about asana and pranayama. But learning about philosophy, anatomy, and alignment has deepened my practice so much more than before. It feels like I have a vast ocean of knowledge about yoga in front of me, and even a lifetime wouldn’t be enough to learn half of it.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Kostas and his family, who also made this training so special. I feel so much love and appreciation for them!

The people in my training group were the main issue, not the training or the teachers. Many of them were judgmental and close-minded Westerners who only saw yoga as a workout, ignoring the spiritual aspect. They weren’t accepting or open-minded, and it resulted in smaller groups and a lot of gossip. I wish we had accepted everyone and treated everyone equally in a big group. I didn’t enjoy it much, but I managed to tune it out. Maybe it was because the Fire group had too many people; it would have been better if we had known beforehand that there would be 30+ people in one group. Moreover, it was usually the same dominant people asking questions during lessons, making it harder for the quieter folks to benefit from the lessons. So your personality matters here; extroverted people might thrive more in this environment. As for the food, I didn’t like it because the vegan option always left me hungry. There often wasn’t enough protein available, and some meals didn’t have any at all. However, the teachers and the training itself were amazing. Though we only learned how to plan 30-minute lessons, we can use this knowledge to create one-hour lessons, but we’ll have to do it on our own time.

Me and 7 other students out of the group of 30 ended up staying at a different place that was a 5-minute car ride or a 20-minute walk away from the main accommodation. It didn’t really bother me that much to stay somewhere else, but the problem was that our daily rides to the main accommodation were hardly ever on time, which caused us to sometimes be late for class and have to walk instead.

They advertised it as Vinyasa/Ashtanga training, but in my opinion, it was really just Vinyasa training. However, they did cover almost all styles of yoga, including Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Overall, my experience at YogaUnion was amazing. The teachers, Ippoliti, Rachel, and Eleni, were all extremely knowledgeable and kind. The classes were informative, and the teachers were always available to answer questions. The staff at the accommodation were also very caring and kind. And let me tell you, the food they served was always delicious! If you decide to come during the winter, just know that Greece can get pretty cold. So make sure to pack some extra layers and warm clothes. Oh, let me tell you about my amazing teacher training experience in Palairos! I absolutely loved it.

Faye, our yoga teacher, is incredible. She’s like a yoga pro and she explains everything in a straightforward way. She’s super clear on what she teaches and she really believes in it. Plus, she gives really helpful feedback and pushes everyone to be their best selves.

Laila is such a gentle soul. She knows so much about breath work, meditation, yin, and nidra yoga. And she’s really good at breaking down those tricky arm balancing poses. The two of them together create this perfect balance. Oh, and let’s not forget Jonas, our anatomy teacher. I absolutely loved his classes! Jonas has this talent for explaining complex subjects in small, digestible chunks. If you get him for anatomy, you’re in for a treat (just be prepared for his dry humor, haha).

Thank you to Faye, Laila, and Jonas for an unforgettable and enlightening teacher training. I learned so much from all three of you and I’m forever grateful.

Now let me tell you about the place we stayed in Palairos. It’s called ‘foodpath’ and it’s only a 5-minute walk from the beach. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking with mountains all around. It’s a truly authentic Greek place. And the best part? The food! It’s so diverse and always made with fresh ingredients. Every meal tasted amazing, and you could really feel the love and care that Adonis and Elli put into it. They were always there for us, ready to help with anything we needed. Thank you both so much for opening your home to us and making it feel like our own.

I would definitely recommend coming here for your teacher training. It’s an experience you won’t forget.

Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, they didn’t provide any props for Yin Yoga alignments. It’s a shame because better communication about this would allow students to bring their own props. Nonetheless, my experience at YogaUnion was awesome.

We had numerous centipedes and other insects in our room every day because the door didn’t shut properly, leaving a small gap at the bottom. Besides that, our room lacked a washing machine and a closet. They didn’t clean the rubbish bin in our bathroom daily, as promised. They only did it once a week, despite asking us to throw our used toilet paper in it. Moreover, the food they cooked was very similar every day and sometimes there wasn’t enough for all of us.

I wouldn’t change anything except for the food, which could be more varied. But I understand it must have been challenging to cook for 20 girls with different dietary needs! This three-week intensive course has been the most incredible experience of my life so far. Everything was absolutely amazing: the place (a very authentic Greek village), the hostel and the family who runs it (such lovely people always ready to help and make sure we had everything), the instructors (Fay, Spyros, and Ourania) were wonderful human beings who exceeded our expectations, the shala with its magical view, and the yoga and meditation classes and workshops… I could talk about it all day. I’m so grateful I decided to join the Yoga Union Bali family on this journey and I’m excited about everything that lies ahead. I rarely feel this connected to life, nature, and people. Thank you so much for everything you did for us. You will always hold a special place in my heart, along with the 19 other amazing girls who I now consider family. I’m confident we’ll meet again, as positive energy attracts positive people!

I would have preferred a more regimented mark scheme and feedback form for the final flow. It would have been beneficial to have two teachers watch it and provide their opinions. It would have been better to receive written feedback with different criteria, such as structure, voice, atmosphere, adjustments, and teaching skills.

The location was amazing, just 5 minutes away from the Shala and away from the beach. The teaching quality was outstanding and I learned so much. I want to express my gratitude to Faye, who was incredible, as well as to Ourania, who was an amazing teacher, and Spyros, who was so helpful and kind. The food and accommodation exceeded my expectations.

Those three weeks were some of the best in my life, and I highly recommend doing it, even if you’re unsure. Don’t worry about not feeling good enough, because everyone arrives with the same thought about their practice. It doesn’t matter! I didn’t plan on teaching afterwards, but I loved it so much that now I want to start teaching and preparing for my 300-hour training! I also had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people, and everyone was so lovely and friendly.

The food could have had more variety, but it still tasted good. Our shala was really crowded, I wish we could have practiced in a bigger space. The whole experience, including the location, activities, and the people I met, changed my life. Nicol was an amazing teacher, and I learned so much about my body and the obstacles I face. I always looked forward to doing pranayama and meditation every morning with Kati, who taught me how to understand and love myself more. I enjoyed having a lot of people in the course because it allowed me to connect with people from all over the world and see different levels of strength and flexibility, as well as the challenges that people can face.

I really wanted to give a glowing review, but unfortunately, our philosophy instructor lacked confidence in the material she was teaching. Instead of focusing on the important testable material, she spent a couple of days on it and then completely shifted gears to have us do random exercises like smelling flowers and touching rocks. She didn’t encourage questions, got off-topic easily, and allowed some people to dominate the discussions. It was incredibly frustrating since we were supposed to be preparing for an exam with concrete information. I even asked her to stay focused on the exam material, but she dismissed my concern, saying there wasn’t enough time and defensively asked how I expected her to cover it all in just eight days. It just didn’t feel right coming from an instructor. None of us felt adequately prepared for the exam, so many of us had to cram a lot of philosophy at the last minute.

It would have been great if we received the training manual in pdf format before the training started. That way, we could have spent time studying beforehand. Although reading the recommended books did help, I believe they should have been mandatory for everyone, ensuring that we all came to training mentally prepared. The Bali retreat was a nice mix of work and enjoyment, but having the opportunity to prepare in advance would have made it even easier to fully enjoy the retreat.

Our alignment classes were absolutely amazing. I feel incredibly grateful to have learned alignment from Himanshu. He is such a dedicated, dynamic, and knowledgeable instructor. His passion for teaching yoga is truly inspiring. Himanshu taught our class all the major yoga positions and gave us practical tips for applying them. He challenged me personally to push myself further and didn’t shy away from demanding the best from the entire class. Throughout the 23-day course, my strength, stamina, and flexibility improved significantly. I was able to try new poses that I had never attempted before. We started teaching right away, which helped me feel fully prepared for my final demonstration. Himanshu guided us through every step gradually and methodically. He also excelled at teaching more subtle aspects like breathwork. By the end of the course, I found myself going deeper into meditation and pranayama. He truly equipped me with the necessary skills to become a better yoga practitioner.

Nina and I didn’t learn much in anatomy class and our philosophy class wasn’t great either. The 108 sun solution practice in this course was a mistake – it left many students feeling exhausted and broken. Personally, I shouldn’t have done it at all. However, our yoga teacher was fantastic, very positive, and knowledgeable. And Jones, our anatomy teacher, was excellent.

I loved everything about my experience with YogaUnion in Bali. The people, the location, the practice, and the atmosphere were all amazing. If you have any reservations, just let them go!

YogaUnion offers a complete package for a Yoga Teacher Training in Bali. Trust me, you won’t regret booking with them.

Before making my decision, I did thorough research and visited multiple Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali. None of them compared to what YogaUnion had to offer.

The yoga practice was excellent, and the teachers were very thorough. My favorite part was the alignment classes, where we spent 2 hours every day analyzing each posture. It was a great opportunity for discussion, demonstration, and practice.

If you want to join the rice fields group, try to book as early as possible and request availability.

I’m incredibly grateful to have met all the amazing people at YogaUnion, especially Ourania who organized everything. Words cannot describe her energy and kindness.

    Sincerely,

The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, which made us feel open, vulnerable, free, and receptive. The kitchen staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even when a few people got sick – they would cook rice and bring it to us where we were staying. The food at the Mansion was disappointing for me as a long-time vegan. There were very few options for protein and complex carbohydrates, which was tough on us students studying and doing intense yoga. The lack of variety made the repetitive meals even more challenging after three weeks. YogaUnion did try to work with the Mansion Hotel to improve the situation, so hopefully future trainings will have better food options. Despite the food issue, I absolutely loved the 200 YTT with YogaUnion! The teachers were all passionate and knowledgeable, especially Nikol. She is an inspiration with her dedication and positive energy in teaching both alignment and vinyasa flow. Her sweet soul and hard work made our experience truly special.

After the third week, the food started to get a bit repetitive but it was still tasty.

During classes, teachers should ask any retreat member to show the example, regardless of their level, instead of always choosing the most flexible or stronger yogi. This way, everyone can see how the teacher corrects or guides the student in the asana, as we are more likely to teach beginners and intermediates. Yoga is not about comparison. Some yogis were disappointed to always see the same advanced student demonstrating.

I hope this won’t happen in future retreats, but I still had a great time and highly recommend it. The location is amazing in the middle of rice fields! The shala and restaurant were fantastic, with breakfast being the best meal – lots of fruits, muesli, homemade coconut yogurt, and sometimes pancakes and French toast. Everyone was friendly, and I had an incredible time. It was a life-changing experience! And it was cheaper than other organizations, despite being incredible! 🙂

If you don’t speak English well, I highly recommend not signing up for this course. There’s a lot of theory and philosophy that is important to understand for the rest of your training. Personally, I don’t speak English well and I don’t understand much either. I tried the experience but it was very difficult because I had to do double work (translating my manuals into French). Don’t worry about a thing! I recommend arriving two days early to adjust to the time difference and weather so you can really enjoy your time here. And if you can, stay at least a week longer to explore the island, Gili, or Nusa Penida. The course is intense with only two Sundays off, so you’ll want that time to relax, not cram in extra activities. The teachers were amazing in teaching asana, anatomy, and philosophy – I learned so much and their passion and care really helped everything stick. The daily classes were excellent too (shoutout to Nikol and Himanshu).

The accommodation at Mansion Resort is like a dream honeymoon spot! I splurged on my own double room and it was totally worth it. The staff was friendly, rooms were cleaned daily, and the Shalas where you practice yoga were absolutely beautiful. Just a heads up, you won’t be staying in town but there’s a free shuttle a few times a day or a taxi for £8 each way. You can also rent a scooter nearby.

The food was good, especially if you’re a veggie like me. The only thing missing was a coffee supply in the afternoon, but you can grab an iced coffee at the cafe for £3.50.

I wish we had more moments of silence during the training to really dive deep into our inner yogic journey. The training felt a bit superficial, like we were just getting a bunch of information thrown at us. I think it would be beneficial to incorporate a few silent days, maybe even every morning before breakfast, so we can focus on meditation, pranayama, and our asana practice. This way, we can truly grasp the essence of yoga and not just see it as a workout at the gym. Himanshu, our teacher, did a fantastic job at keeping classes engaging while still pushing us to excel. He shared his wisdom in a way that allowed us to absorb what resonated with us. I’m also grateful for all the other wonderful teachers who contributed to our learning experience.

I wish we had started with introductions for all participants at the beginning, maybe with some fun games or activities to get to know everyone’s name right away!

In anatomy class, we learned that you can build strength quickly, but tendons and ligaments need more time to catch up. I would have appreciated if the teachers had reminded us to slow down and listen to our bodies instead of pushing us to show off our best poses. It felt like we were being pushed too hard, leading to injuries for over half of the class. Some days, I wished there had been more adaptations.

I had expected more information and adjustments for Yoga beginners, considering the YTT was advertised as suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

In philosophy class, I would have liked more basic information before diving into deep discussions on topics I wasn’t familiar with. It was even more challenging for non-native English speakers to follow along. I don’t feel like I have a good grasp of yoga philosophy due to the lack of structure in how the topics were covered.

Overall, I appreciated the atmosphere created by the teachers, trainees, and Karmayogis. The schedule, food (though more fruit variety would be nice), location, and the structure of the training were all great. I enjoyed learning proper alignment, starting teaching early, the international aspect of the training, and special events like the cacao ceremony, silent walk, and 108 sun salutations. Most of all, I loved the dedication and passion of each teacher.

We have experienced teachers in a welcoming and engaging environment that encourages personal growth and a deeper understanding of the yogic way of life.

The schedule may be tough and demanding, but this program is designed to educate experienced practitioners on guiding yogis through flows and mindfulness practices, rather than being a leisurely retreat.

I didn’t really enjoy the philosophy classes because we didn’t have much time to discuss important yoga concepts. The teachers did make an effort to review key terms for exams, which I appreciated. However, I believe future yoga teachers should be able to think critically about yoga philosophy, not just memorize concepts like chakras, doshas, and gunas. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much room for open discussion in those classes.

After two weeks, I wasn’t very enthusiastic about the food.

But these issues are minor compared to all the other amazing things about this experience! It’s been such a fantastic and unique opportunity. Going back home after three weeks at this incredible retreat will be tough. Spyros and Ourania have created a warm and nurturing environment for yogis and future teachers, and they are truly inspiring. The food at the retreat can get repetitive. Accommodations vary – some stay in a mansion resort, some in the rice fields. There’s a wide range of places to stay. I wish they had been more clear about the differences. However, the experience was life-changing. It would have been nice to have more focus on spirituality and self-development, but overall, it was incredible.

The group is usually about 30 people, and we all became like family. But if you prefer smaller, more intimate groups, this may not be the right retreat for you. I personally prefer smaller groups for more one-on-one time. But the retreat is amazing, which is why so many people come here. You won’t regret it.

The teachers varied in their standard of teaching, but overall, they were generally good. Since I already had a pretty advanced physical practice, I noticed that the course tended to cater more to beginners. The anatomy and philosophy teachings were also more suited for those just starting out. The location and accommodation at Ubud Nirwa Karma were excellent. The food was simple but delicious. The shala was fantastic, and the infrastructure of the place was well set up. This course is a great choice for a self-development trip, especially for beginners.

I read every review and everyone said the food is repetitive and standard. Honestly, you don’t need a lot of variety with all the physical stress your body goes through every day. It was exactly what my body needed after two hours of vinyasa each day. I’m so glad I picked this course. I looked through thousands in different countries, but this one exceeded my expectations by far. It was really tough. They suggest reading a few books beforehand, so I did. They recommend having a yoga routine before you start, so I did a little bit. Three weeks wasn’t enough. There was so much information to absorb, but when you succeed, it’s incredibly gratifying. The group I was with were some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. We became like a family, and it was beautiful. We laughed, we cried, I even got a few bruises… but it was all worth it. And for the super affordable price, it was so much more than I expected. Nikki was an incredible instructor. She pushed you to see what you’re capable of, and you truly surprise yourself. Spyros was the best anatomy instructor. He’s so passionate! Thank you, Yoga Union!

Then, my group was amazing, full of positive and beautiful energy. Moving on to the course itself, I thought it was really well done. I learned a lot in such a short amount of time. I attended lectures on anatomy, philosophy, and asana labs, which helped me gain a deeper understanding of yoga. This has made me feel safer and more confident in my practice. The location, a shala in the rice fields, is simply breathtaking! If you’re considering enrolling in this course, make sure to savor every moment and appreciate the beautiful, tranquil surroundings.

I loved everything about yogaunion. The love, caring souls, fun, food, room, and interesting classes were even better than I expected. I had a bit of a hard time with philosophy at first, but once I delved deeper into it, things started to click and it became so interesting. Everyone should have an experience like this. Himanshu makes classes fun and informative, and Ourania and Spyros were amazing. Ourania was powerful yet peaceful, inspiring and giving me hope. Spyros made anatomy easy to learn and was down to earth. The school is tough with lots of studying and homework, but it’s worth it. It’s definitely a home away from home, and I’ll definitely visit again. Thank you for this incredible experience!

I loved everything about the training. I wish I could have seen and experienced the main union yoga shala in the ricefields, but because I was in the mansion resort group, I couldn’t. Also, I think the closing ceremony is nicer and more authentic there. The resort was sometimes noisy since our shala was near the pool area, so it wasn’t ideal for certain classes. But overall, the resort is very nice! The teachers are amazing. They teach you all you need to know about Asanas, alignment, variation, and the benefits of it all. They care for you and teach with a serious love and commitment to yoga. It’s like tough but caring love for all the students. I am thankful to Nikole, our main teacher, for all the effort, patience, and care she put into teaching us. Spiros and Ourania are wonderful too and really build a great yoga community here. It’s a lot of information to take in during the 3 weeks, so remember to rest and clear your mind between classes to absorb it all again for the exam. The teaching structure starts right away, and you build your flow step by step, teaching each other. It’s an intense physical, mental, and emotional experience, but amazing, and people grow into a yogi family. I will forever be thankful I did this! Namaste.

This course really worked its magic on me. The location in the center of the rice fields was simply amazing. The guest house I stayed in went above and beyond my expectations. Plus, the vegetarian food they served us three times a day was delicious.

The instructors were top-notch. Himanshu, our yoga teacher, was absolutely incredible. He encouraged us to push ourselves and reach our full potential. Ourania and Spyros were also fantastic teachers who were incredibly knowledgeable about alignment and anatomy. They gave clear instructions and explanations, and were always looking out for our well-being.

Throughout the course, we practiced various styles of yoga like yin, vinyasa, ashtanga, and hatha. We also tried different types of pranayama and meditation each morning. The workshops on foundational postures helped improve everyone’s practice almost instantly. People were nailing headstands, arm balances, and back bends faster and more safely than ever before.

I can’t stress enough how much I would recommend this training. It truly transformed my practice and my life. I hope to return to beautiful Ubud one day to relive even just a small part of this incredible experience.

I loved staying in the rice fields! But, some of us, including myself, didn’t know we had a choice between the rice fields and the mansion until we got there and the groups were already split. I think it would be better if we were informed about the options when booking. Even though I was happy with where I stayed, everyone’s preferences can vary. So, knowing in advance will keep everyone satisfied.

Deciding to come for yoga teacher training was the best decision I ever made. If you’re still unsure, just go for it! You’ll benefit so much from it, whether you plan to teach afterward or not. Bali has a special energy that helps release negative vibes we carry. And with amazing teachers like Ourania and Himanshu, along with other incredible people you’ll meet, the experience is life-changing. It’s a peaceful place where you can be yourself, surrounded by supportive companions.

The training is tough, challenging you physically and emotionally. There will be moments when you want to quit, but your fellow trainees will motivate you to keep going. You’ll see personal growth, no matter your reasons for joining. It’s not a guarantee that all your problems will vanish or you’ll become a perfect teacher overnight, but practice and dedication are key. YogaUnion in Ubud is the ideal place to start.

To my group mates from the September course – I’m grateful to have met you all. You’ve helped me grow and believe in myself more. I hope we’ve aided each other too. Good luck in all your endeavors! And a big THANK YOU to our amazing teachers for imparting your wisdom to us.

I recommend revising the training book to correct mistakes and add missing postures. Apart from that, everything is perfect. The ricefield yoga shala is like a dream, with every little detail surrounding the place being unique. It was incredible to be a part of Yoga Union’s classes in Bali, specifically the ricefield group. The remote location away from busy Ubud, the calming sounds of nature, the pathway to the beautiful shala, and the amazing restaurant 308 all made the experience magical. I stayed at Nirwa Ubud Karma, and it was comfortable beyond words.

The owners of Yoga Union, Ourania and Spyros, are the cutest couple you’ll ever see and embody the definition of love. They not only share love with each other but also show it to their students. It was heartwarming to feel loved and supported by them during the intense training. The whole crew, including Himanshu, Jonas, Saavas, Juan Carlos, Florence, and Pablo, were incredibly professional and competent.

Choosing this training to learn how to teach and share yoga was the best decision I’ve made. I am grateful to the teachers and students of the August session for making this training an unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything.

I wish they had served more fruit during lunch and dinner. I also would have preferred smaller groups of up to 30 people for the final lessons, as it was a bit overwhelming to do all the classes.

Some accommodations were better than others, like some rooms had water and kettles while others didn’t. The shala in the rice fields is amazing! Ourania, Spyros, and the team have truly created a paradise oasis. They are so warm and welcoming, making you feel like family from the start.

The instructors were great for all levels, from beginners to advanced. I was worried about teaching in a group, but they provided such a solid foundation and gentle guidance that it felt natural. Just a week after the course, I started training clients with confidence, something I never thought possible.

The walk to the shala along the lane from the accommodations was unforgettable. The meals were substantial, and the ginger lemongrass tea was a nice touch. The balance between classes and downtime was perfect, and I recommend reading the training manual daily instead of waiting until the last minute.

Listen to your body during the long classes and don’t hesitate to sit out if needed.

I was most disappointed by the lack of communication in the beginning about where my training would be held. The advertisement said it would be in the rice field Shala with food from a nearby organic restaurant, but instead, I found myself at the mansion resort with repetitive food that left me feeling not nourished after yoga. However, I got amazing instructors so I wouldn’t change that for anything. I was also hoping for a deeper interpersonal growth experience, but I did learn a lot about myself. The instructors were passionate about what they were teaching and I gained a wealth of knowledge in yoga, anatomy, and philosophy in just 3 weeks. The instructors were the key to that. We only had a large group, so we didn’t get much personal critique on our teaching or yoga practice. But that was probably because it was August. However, the big group brought a great energy and it was awesome to share the experience with people from all over the world. Plus, more students meant more to learn from. The Shala’s location in the rice fields was stunning, and they really put effort into making it beautiful. It was an honor to be surrounded by the nature and magic of Ubud every day, away from the bustling center.

The teachers were top-notch and each had their own charm and specialties. They made us feel welcome and safe, and took care of everyone’s needs. The variety of yoga styles and workshops was just right. The course really set us up well to become teachers, especially in the short time frame. I also got to work on improving my own practice.

The anatomy and philosophy lessons were taught well and gave a different perspective on Yoga beyond just the physical aspect. The food at the nearby restaurant exceeded expectations with a good variety and they were accommodating to dietary needs.

    1) The food at the Mansion was pretty repetitive – lots of vegetables (meat-lovers, beware!). But breakfast was great! They had the best spread of food.

    2) The course really puts you through the paces – you learn about yoga holistically through 3 main classes, focusing on asana (postures) alignment, yoga philosophy, and anatomy. The course also covers pranayama (breathing), meditation, and teaching practice. We had to prepare a class nearly every day, with the length gradually increasing as the course progressed.

    3) In terms of accommodation, our group didn’t practice at the regular shala and were moved to the luxurious Mansion Hotel in Ubud instead. Personally, I shared a room with someone and we had a whole family suite to ourselves.

    4) One of the best parts of the course is the amazing community you become a part of. I met people from all over the world who shared a similar open-mindedness towards learning and growing. I’ve made some lifelong friends from this course, and even after it ended, we continued to hang out in Bali and visited each other’s countries. If I had to give any advice, I’d say extend your stay in Bali to spend more time with your new friends.

Unfortunately, due to conditions beyond the school’s control, the location did not meet my expectations. Living in Dubai, I was thrilled to visit Ubud and immerse myself in the rice fields and nature. However, we ended up staying at the Mansion hotel instead. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel was beautiful, and we were treated exceptionally well, but I had come for a nature and yoga experience.

The program in Bali had a few small issues because it was still quite new. Paying the remaining balance for the program could have been easier with a payment method like PayPal. While the accommodations were okay, there was inconsistency in the quality of guesthouses despite paying the same price. The restaurant where we had our meals was beautiful, and the staff was friendly, but the menu was repetitive. It only changed after we asked about it. However, these were minor concerns and wouldn’t stop me from highly recommending this yoga training. I absolutely loved the entire experience. The teachers were extremely knowledgeable and truly lived the Yogi philosophies. Our daily vinyasa classes were all unique and creatively done. Honestly, I can’t think of anything! The course took us on a beautiful journey with our yoga family. I felt safe and eager to learn about myself, yoga, the human body, and teaching. The amazing teachers we had will always be remembered. I’m so grateful for all I learned in Bali’s beautiful jungle with passionate teachers. YogaUnion, thank you for the life-changing experience at Ourania! The magic of yoga filled the shala as 36 beautiful souls from 5 continents joined me in my first 108 sun salutations. We did a thousand chaturangas, ate boiled eggs and banana pancakes, shed tears, and shared lots of laughter and deep conversations. Now, I have a yogi family. This was the best 40th birthday gift I could imagine. Thank you for everything!

Saying goodbye to all the beautiful people I met was tough. I loved everything about the training, especially the teachers and our group. We created a unique energy that made it really hard to leave. The teachers are all passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of yoga. The practice and program challenged me, but the supportive environment helped me grow more confident in myself and my ability to teach yoga. Our classes were held in a shala overlooking rice fields, making it the perfect setting for practicing and learning.

Come in ready to focus on learning as if you’re in school rather than on vacation. This course will involve a lot of homework, studying, and preparation. Sundays are your day off, but you might not always have time for fun activities. It’s an intense 3 weeks, but it’s definitely worth it in the end. If you want to explore more of Bali, just add a few extra days to your trip. I absolutely loved every part of this experience, despite the ups and downs.

The course is structured really well. You’ll start teaching small lessons in the first week, which can be intimidating, but by the end of the 2.5 weeks, you’ll be ready to teach your final 30-minute class. You’ll also dive into philosophy, anatomy, and meditation, with tests covering each topic. It may sound like a lot, but it truly helps you become a well-rounded yoga teacher. Afternoon sessions introduce you to various yoga styles, while the mornings kick off with a Vinyasa Flow class. You’ll see great progress in your own yoga practice during this time!

The teachers are fantastic—both as people and instructors. They’re always there to support you, whether you need help with yoga-related questions or personal challenges. You’ll never feel alone!

Regarding accommodation, remember you’re in Bali, so expect encounters with bugs in the open bungalows. It might take some getting used to, but bug spray and long pants will become your best friends.

As for food, it’s fantastic! You’ll dine at the same restaurants three times a day, so don’t be surprised if you see the same dishes multiple times. If you’re craving something different, there are other options available too!

I was sad that it had to end… and those giant critters You’ll find some accommodations that are open and airy, so make sure to have plenty of bug repellent and white tiger balm on hand. My experience was incredible beyond words! It truly went above and beyond my expectations. Just give it your all, participate, and do your best in the course, and you’ll see your yoga practice and life transform. The instructors are so organized in everything they do, the classes are informative and engaging, and I loved the variety of classes they offered and how well they took care of us. I was able to truly focus all my energy on myself. I highly recommend Ourania, Spyros, Sarah, and Jac. Each of them has unique gifts and pours into their students. Don’t hesitate, just go for it!

I didn’t like the location of the accommodation. The house was extremely isolated (not by the beach and no notable view), there were no public transportation, no shop for hygiene products, etc., and the beach was not within walking distance. If we hadn’t rented a car, we wouldn’t have seen anything of the beautiful peninsula. Additionally, my room was in the same building as the yoga classes, dining area, and common room. Personally, this wasn’t ideal for me because it was always relatively noisy and I couldn’t find a quiet place to relax. I spent the whole day going up and down the stairs in the same building. However, the yoga classes were professionally conducted – the instructors were all very passionate and knowledgeable. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and I am truly very happy.

I found it a bit difficult to live in the same house as three other girls where the courses were held. The schedule became more demanding as days passed, and I needed every lunch break and evening time for rest or study. The house was always full of people, and it only got quiet after 10 o’clock, sometimes not even then. It was hard to rest with all the noise. Being confined to the same house for learning, courses, meals, and sleeping felt a bit claustrophobic. Renting a car was a good idea so we could go to the beach or into town during breaks for a change of scenery. The food caused some stomach problems after two weeks, but I managed by eating out occasionally. Overall, the house situation was the only issue I had, but everything else was wonderful. The teachers were passionate, skilled, and dedicated, creating a great learning experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking to grow and learn. The teachers were competent and open, and I enjoyed learning from different experienced yoga teachers. The anatomy and philosophy lessons were interactive and engaging. The surroundings were beautiful, and I made some friends that I hope to keep for years to come. The house we stayed in was lovely, making it a great overall experience.

I really didn’t like that it had to end. I’m missing the classes so much already, and it’s only been a week! I would highly recommend Yoga Union to anyone looking to become a yoga teacher or deepen their practice. Even before I arrived for the training, I felt the warmth of the teachers through our correspondence. I had been very unwell before, and wasn’t sure if I could handle the training. Yoga Union gave me the space to make my decision and offered support and guidance. Their compassionate responses gave me the confidence to take a chance and attend, which turned out to be the best decision I ever made!

The training was fantastic from the very beginning. We jumped into challenging vinyasa classes on the first day and started learning right away. I enjoyed classes taught by a variety of teachers. Ourania’s vinyasa classes were truly special, and I also loved Sarah’s yin, Spyros’ Hatha, and Tony’s restorative classes! The yin classes were a perfect complement to the vinyasa, giving our bodies exactly what they needed by the end of the first week. The days were long and the practice was intense, so make sure to ramp up your practice before you begin the training.

The theoretical teaching was thorough, and we began teaching right away, which was the best way to learn. It really helped us develop our teaching style and boosted my confidence. I recommend reading the course books before you arrive, as it will give you a solid foundation and knowledge that will guide you through the course.

The training organization could be improved professionally. Here are a few suggestions to enhance the quality of the training:
    – Make sure students use the recommended books by assigning chapters to read before class (some students bought the books but never opened them).
    – Provide a detailed schedule for the 3 weeks on the first day, either at the introduction dinner or in students’ rooms upon arrival, so everyone knows what to expect.
    – Ensure the accommodation description is accurate to avoid any disappointments.
    – Avoid speaking negatively about previous students to maintain a safe environment for current students.
    – Provide equal attention to all students during teaching exams to ensure fairness.

The teachers were very passionate and knowledgeable about yoga, covering alignment, the human body, philosophy, and asanas. The daily schedule started with morning meditation followed by a great yoga class led by Ourania. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh fruits and delicious porridge or black rice pudding. The asana classes were insightful, helping me understand proper postures and corrections. Philosophy lessons with Coralia were informative, and anatomy classes, though a bit scattered, still taught me about the human body in yoga.

Overall, the 3-week journey with 29 other students was a great personal experience. The first week was tough, but by weeks two and three, I felt comfortable. There are some areas that can be improved for the next round of training.

I don’t like to focus on the negatives, so if I could have anything, I would wish for all the participants to stay in one place. But, it wasn’t really a problem because we got to see all those amazing places in the rice fields.

What I loved about this teacher training is that it:
    a. Helps you develop on a practical and spiritual level, opening your eyes to yourself and making you look deep inside.
    b. Has a strong teaching focus, allowing you to start teaching from week 1 and boosting your confidence by the end.
    c. The location, people, food, and teachers all combined to create a magical experience that made me smile every day.

First of all, the course ended up having 35 people instead of the advertised 15, which was pretty frustrating. Due to the high student-to-teacher ratio, I didn’t get any helpful feedback for over two weeks.

The Anatomy and Philosophy classes were all over the place and really hard to follow – not because of the subject matter, but because of how disorganized the lessons were. We were told not to take notes and didn’t get any hand-outs to help us keep up. And don’t even get me started on the poorly printed Teacher Training manual that had to be reprinted.

We were promised all the necessary texts for the training, but ended up having to buy an extra book for the Anatomy section, which actually turned out to be quite useful.

When it came to our practice teaching sessions, the teachers seemed distracted and weren’t giving us the feedback we needed. They would walk in and out of the room or be on their phones, even while we were being graded.

I really wish there had been a more supportive learning environment because it was easy to feel lost. On the plus side, the scenery was breathtaking – walking past the rice fields every day was amazing. And the actual yoga classes were top-notch. Both teachers were passionate and gave clear instructions during their Vinyassa lessons. They were great at providing detailed feedback and adjusting our poses when asked.

Oh, and I can’t forget the food – it was absolutely delicious, especially the vegan options. My only suggestion would be to add some non-soy protein options.

I just had a problem with the disorganization. We didn’t always know where we were supposed to be in the mornings and had to wander around until we found our teachers. It would have been better if there was a plan laid out for the three weeks ahead of time, instead of just finding out a few days in advance. I understand the teachers wanted to have some flexibility, but having a plan in place would have helped us plan our personal time better and avoid feeling stressed about unexpected changes.

I didn’t receive the Shatkarma kit that was promised and had to specifically ask for the included massage. These things weren’t even mentioned right from the start.

Their teaching was amazing and I learned a lot, but I think they should have someone handling the administrative tasks to take the pressure off so they can focus on teaching. Everything we learned came up in the exam, and our teachers shared a lot of knowledge and personal experiences to help us understand how to adjust others in asanas and how to teach professionally. They were always open to questions and made us feel comfortable.

The location in Ubud, surrounded by beautiful rice fields, was perfect. We had classes in two different locations with incredible views and provided equipment like pillows and blocks. I stayed at Gusti Garden, which was comfortable and the owner was always friendly and helpful. The WiFi was much better than the other location (Prashanti) and the complimentary umbrellas were a nice touch.

The food at Prashanti was delicious, although it wasn’t exactly what I expected in terms of being fully macrobiotic. It was still vegan and Indonesian style.

Overall, I had an amazing time with supportive classmates who have become great friends.

They didn’t organize anything as promised. Classes were all over the place – I was living in one location, attending classes in another, and eating in a third spot. It was total chaos, with lots of confusion and last-minute changes. The instructors were amazing, but their approach to teaching anatomy was a bit sketchy. It seemed like they were making it up as they went along. Can you believe they’ve done this TTC before? It felt like they were rookies. It was stressful – instead of feeling zen, I was worried about failing because of the disorganization. The instructors tried to fix things, but it was still a bit off. Hopefully, the next one will be better. Despite all that, I enjoyed it! The setting in the rice fields was lovely, even though I wasn’t staying in Prashanti. Ubud is incredible, and Bali stole my heart.

The structure and organization need some serious work. I think they could have really used an assistant. They didn’t handle things correctly, which made many students upset. When we were asked for our feedback, the teachers got defensive and dismissive.

The website said a maximum of 15 people, but we had 35. We were told it didn’t matter, but I believe it did. I didn’t receive enough instruction or assistance, and I often felt lost and ignored. It seemed like certain students got more attention.

I was promised one accommodation but ended up in a much less nice one. It was half the price online compared to what the other girls were staying at, yet I had to pay full price. I expected some compensation for the downgrade, but none was provided. It seemed very unfair. My room had mold issues, which led to a sore throat and runny nose throughout training, and my favorite luggage ended up covered in mold. When I tried to address these issues, I felt completely dismissed.

The shala where we practiced was stunning, and I learned a lot. I appreciated being introduced to different types of yoga beyond Vinyasa, but I would have liked more explanation. The teachers were knowledgeable but not always well-organized. I made some fantastic connections with incredible women.
