Pranayama contains various breathing exercises but the goal is not the breath but rather to reach the level of prana force which is the source of all existence. Through breathing practices, one can achieve deep physical, energetic, and emotional cleaning. Pranayama is an ancient yogic breathing technique that is used as preparation for meditation and is a vital aspect of practicing yoga. It improves the respiratory system and purifies the body and mind.
Implementing breathwork in yoga poses allows for more opening and presence. Come experience the interplay of breath, movement, and energy and leave with an overall sense of well-being.
Daily pranayama trains the lungs and improves the capacity of the respiratory system immensely. Pranayam directly works on the nervous system. Daily pranayama positively affects the autonomic nervous system which controls and governs essential functions of the body like the heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure, etc.
Clavicular breathing is breathing into the top third of the lungs and no deeper. Clavicular breathing is accomplished by raising the collarbone (clavicle) and shoulders during the in-breath and keeping the rest of the torso motionless. Clavicular breathing is the most shallow type of breathing.
Ujjayi breathing is a breathing technique employed in a variety of Taoist and Yoga practices. In relation to Yoga, it is sometimes called "the ocean breath".
Bhastrikā is an important breath exercise in yoga and pranayama. It is sometimes treated as a kriya or 'cleansing action' along with kapalabhati to clear the airways in preparation for other pranayama techniques. Bhastrika involves a rapid and forceful process of inhalation and exhalation powered by the movement of the diaphragm. The movement of air is accompanied by an audible sound. One inhale and exhale equals one round of bhastrika, and it may be repeated for many consecutive rounds.
Kapalabhati also called the breath of fire, is an important Shatkarma, a purification in hatha yoga. The Technique of Kapalabhati involves short and strong forceful exhalations and inhalation happens automatically. There are three forms of Kapalabhati:
Nadi is a Sanskrit word meaning “channel” or “flow” and shodhana means “purification.” Therefore, nadi shodhana is primarily aimed at clearing and purifying the subtle channels of the mind-body organism, while balancing its masculine and feminine aspects.
Bhramari pranayama, also known as Humming Bee Breath, is a calming breathing practice that soothes the nervous system and helps to connect us with our truest inner nature.
In Chandra Bhedana Pranayama, the left nostril is used for inhalation and the right nostril is used for exhalation. It is said that on inhalation, energy passes through Ida (Chandra) Nadi, and exhalation through Pingala or Surya Nadi.
Sheetali Pranayama, also known as Cooling Breath, is a breathing practice that very effectively cools the body, the mind, and the emotions. Sheetali comes from the Sanskrit root sheet, which means “cold” or “frigid.” Sheetal translates roughly as ‘that which is calm, passionless, and soothing’. Sheetali pranayama calms and soothes the mind-body organism by activating a powerful evaporative cooling mechanism on inhalation, delivering gentle cooling energy to the deep tissues of the body. Remarkably, this pranayama also enkindles the digestive fire—just as a live coal covered in ash might begin to glow under the influence of a cold wind
Yoga is therapy and students will learn how to treat different physical, mental, and emotional problems through yoga.Cleansing techniques (Shat karma): This technique can help get rid of toxins and embrace a pleasant and refreshing life.
Mantras are powerful sound vibrations that have healing and spiritual power. Regular chanting can be healthy and peaceful.
Proper alignment, variations, and modifications with the ability to minimize the risk of injuries and hands-on adjustmentsAsanas are one of the most important facets of yoga. Each asana is performed for a particular beneficial reason. The reasons can vary and may include aligning the body posture, getting rid of toxins, losing weight, overall health, taking away fatigue, and relaxing the mind.
One of the key elements of the curriculum is to make future yoga teachers aware of the importance of sequencing. Sequencing has a vital role to play in conducting a successful and efficient class. A yoga class environment cannot be predicted at all times. It is in the hands of the teacher to engage the class, create a flow and share his/her teachings most suitably and effectively as possible.
Intelligent use of props to help improve practice at its early stages. The course also consists of a part that teaches to enhance the effectiveness of a class with the use of props. Smart and intelligent use of props is a skill and is to be used to engage the class better.
Postures along with their names and meanings are taught in detail. The meaning of a posture can help the learner understand it better and it will also have a better impact as compared to doing it for the sake of it.
The practice of breathing is considered the foundation of Yoga. Deep breathing combined with Yoga has several benefits such as improved blood flow, detoxifying the body, and improved digestion among others.
A deeper level of meditation and concentration to know the truth is referred to as Dhyana. Dhyana is mostly done to reach Samadhi, meaning bliss which is the ultimate goal of Yoga. Meditation is a systematic practice that promotes physical, mental, and emotional tranquility with the purpose of reaching Samadhi (self-realization).
Breath awareness meditation promotes physical & mental relaxation that can significantly reduce stress on the body and mind. The most basic way to do mindful breathing is simply to focus your attention on your breath, the inhale and exhale. You can do this while standing, but ideally, you’ll be sitting or even lying in a comfortable position. Your eyes may be open or closed, but you may find it easier to maintain your focus if you close your eyes. Experts believe a regular practice of mindful breathing can make it easier to do it in difficult situations.
Trataka is a yogic purification and a tantric method of meditation that involves staring at a single point such as a small object, black dot, or candle flame. It is said to bring energy to the "third eye" and promote various psychic abilities.
Dynamic meditation is a fast, intense, physical, and spiritual movement that helps you to release the past and clear the old patterns. It brings you peace, stillness, and freedom.
Through the practice, it's normal that your mind sometimes wanders, the thoughts will come and it's okay. But when that happens just bring your mind back to the present and bring awareness to your breath.
Silence Meditation is one of the most powerful meditation techniques. It helps you to connect and understand your true self.
Understanding human anatomy will help people understand yoga and its aspects better. This will also help achieve holistic health and the therapeutics of yoga practices.

November 21, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m not sure what the agreement between World Peace Yoga school and the hotel was, but I’m certain that we could have gotten better quality food for the money we paid. The meals during the teacher training consisted mostly of steamed or fried rice/french fries with vegetables, tofu, tempeh, and salad, and we even encountered poorly washed salad and mold on our plates a few times. It would have been great to have more nutritious ingredients like quinoa, lentils, and different nuts instead of just peanuts, even if it was only every few days. On a positive note, breakfast was good!
Another issue that bothered me was that the teacher training I actually booked was completely different from what I experienced. The photos of the hotel and everything seemed completely different from what I ended up with. It seems like this program didn’t exist before. The training I booked was supposed to focus on “Ayurveda,” but we only had two lessons about it in the end. Nonetheless, I’m happy with what I learned and experienced. I just wanted to let others know that whatever you book, it might turn out differently than expected (maybe it’s a good life lesson anyway). But I really did enjoy learning from the teachers and deepening my knowledge about Yoga. Thank you, Ashu, for incorporating your Indian culture into the lessons, although sometimes it was difficult to connect with the lengthy storytelling that didn’t always relate back to the initial topic. However, I did feel it was important to understand the roots of Yoga.
The schedule was tight, but that’s exactly what I wanted in order to fully immerse myself in the experience. The quality of the lessons was exceptional, and the teachers were incredibly dedicated to teaching us thoroughly, which was the most important thing to me! Thank you so much.??
The hotel resort was spotlessly clean, and I absolutely loved the spacious room I had all to myself. The rooftop was the perfect spot for meditation, and it was great to have a small gym too!

August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI just finished my 200hr Kundalini YTT with World Peace Yoga School, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. The beautiful setting in Bali definitely added to the experience, but what truly made it special were the incredible teachers. They taught us with so much passion and made it engaging for all of us. They also created a safe space where we could heal, learn, and grow together. I can’t thank them enough for this life-changing experience, and of course, shoutout to the wonderful GuruJi and HariPriya.

June 5, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved everything about it! I just got back from my 200 hour Kundalini Teacher training, and let me tell you, words can’t even describe how amazing it was. Seriously, one of the best experiences of my life. And guess what? I’m already itching to go back and learn more.
The teachers, oh my goodness, they were beyond incredible. Their knowledge, passion, and the way they delivered information was simply undeniable. And let me tell you about the food – the kitchen staff cooked up three fresh, delicious meals every day. I never got sick once while I was there.
Any questions or concerns? Don’t worry. The front of house staff was always there to help, and they always had a solution. Seriously, the whole team was so kind, caring, respectful, and friendly. It was like being surrounded by a big, supportive family.

March 29, 2023 at 12:00 amThe yoga hall was dirty and it had extreme temperature variations due to the rooftop construction. I caught a cold because it rained for two days. The props were filthy and emitted a foul odor. The school had a negative atmosphere, it felt commercial and lacked positive energy. I couldn’t complete the course because of these issues. Everyone in my group was frustrated. It was supposed to be a nice experience, but it wasn’t. However, the group itself was nice and some of the lessons were good. The school’s location and view were pretty good though.

June 17, 2022 at 12:00 amI regretted staying at the school. my recommendation would be to pay only for the course and find alternative accommodation and food options. It would have improved my experience and saved me money. I ended up eating out most of the time because many students before me had gotten sick from the food and water. The meals weren’t very balanced and lacked nutrition, mostly consisting of carbs and oil. The accommodation was basic, with a bed that was even harder than the one I had during Vipassana. If I had stayed at a hostel, I would have had a cleaner space, no curfew at 10:30pm, a comfortable bed, and probably fewer nightmares. The teachers at the school are all amazing. I had the privilege of being taught by Dr. Lata Ji, Sunil Ji, Kanna Ji, Dr. Himanshu Ji, Naveen Ji, and a special shoutout to Siddha Ji. Every teacher was extremely knowledgeable in their field and had a way of explaining things that expanded my mind. I felt fortunate every day to be learning from such highly educated and intelligent individuals.

May 31, 2022 at 12:00 amYou can’t clean anything in the room because there are no tools for it. Mopping or washing the sink is just not possible.
The food was alright for the first two weeks, but then they started serving us the same thing every day, so I ended up eating out on the street every day. I came here to get in shape, but instead, I gained weight. :/
I really liked the group of people who came to get certified with me. We all got along perfectly and had a lot of fun together. The days were filled with excitement and busyness.
I absolutely loved the ashtanga classes, especially when Ashu helped adjust our poses and Himanshu taught us about anatomy. Those were my favorite classes. I also really enjoyed the Philosophy class. It was great. 🙂

Plus, using WhatsApp to connect with the class and instructors outside of the Zoom meetings was a huge bonus. It allowed us to ask questions whenever we wanted, regardless of time zones or distance.

June 16, 2020 at 12:00 amThe time presented a bit of a challenge for me (having to be up at 1:30 a.m.), but if you couldn’t attend the class, they quickly provided a recording for you. So basically, you can still participate in something like this and do your other daily activities. Wow, wow, wow! Thank you so much! I feel so grateful, loved, and filled with divine energy. I really didn’t know what to expect, but it was even better than I imagined. I absolutely loved the chanting and movement. It felt like a true connection and release. Guru Ji’s words are so inspiring, and Yogini Radha is mesmerizing. I genuinely felt like I was in the presence of divine goddesses. It was empowering and beautiful! One of the greatest parts of the class was that I could create this tantra energy in union with people all around the world. I’m so thankful to World Peace Yoga School for offering this incredible class online during these world-changing times. It has allowed me to pursue my passion for yoga right now, especially since I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to make it to India. I will forever be grateful! Namastè 😀

June 16, 2020 at 12:00 amI just finished an online yoga course from World Peace Yoga School. The teachers at the school are incredibly knowledgeable and humble. They have a wealth of knowledge about yoga and life. I really enjoyed learning from Guru Vishnu Ji who guided us on how to live a healthy life and practice meditation, among other things.
Even though I couldn’t be physically present with them, I still felt their positive energy. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to deepen their yoga practice.

June 15, 2020 at 12:00 amEverything was perfect. The internet connection in India is not optimal, which caused some minor issues during the online course one day, and it was out of anyone’s control. However, World Peace Yoga School already anticipated and found solutions for this. As a bonus, we received all the recordings of the classes. So now I can do my Tantra Yoga practices over and over again! I definitely recommend this online course, as it is so convenient to do from the comfort of your own home.
Originally, I was supposed to travel to India to do the 200h yoga teacher training course, but because of the Corona virus, I had to postpone it to hopefully next year. Instead, I did a 3-day online course in Tantra Yoga. And let me tell you, World Peace Yoga School offers a really high standard of education online! The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and their energy is so beautiful. This course was beyond words, it was such an amazing experience! I would recommend this professional school with a family/community feeling to everyone. I can’t wait until I can go there for a full course in person. Doing this online course made me realize that I made the right choice in choosing this school for my 200h course in the future. Furthermore, Tantra Yoga is a beautiful part of yoga that I highly recommend. The divine energy we were able to experience through our practices was overwhelmingly beautiful! I have nothing but love and respect for this school, the teachers, and the fellow students. Namaste!

June 15, 2020 at 12:00 amThe Internet in India can sometimes have its challenges, but we were able to fix any issues we encountered with patience. It was actually not a big problem for us.
This review covers both the accommodation and food, even though it was an online course. And let me tell you, the course was absolutely fantastic! It was divided into two parts: theory and practical. I enjoyed both parts immensely! The theory section might be a bit difficult to grasp if you’re unfamiliar with Hindu gods and goddesses, so having some prior knowledge would be useful.
But let me tell you, the practical classes were simply amazing! Each day, they left me feeling completely cleansed, recharged, and filled with love. The teachers delivered the classes with utmost confidence and deep knowledge. It was truly inspiring to be able to experience that through a screen. It really speaks volumes about the quality of the school and the course.
I would definitely recommend this course to my friend, and I would encourage people to approach it with an open mind. I learned a lot that I can incorporate into my own practice and teaching.
It was such a lovely experience to connect with people from all around the world during this time.

June 15, 2020 at 12:00 amI loved every minute of it! Vishnu really knows his stuff when it comes to the symbolism of Tantra. He believes that misunderstanding comes from ignorance of the symbolism, and the ultimate goal is union, just like any other great teaching. He may be serious about his knowledge, but he has a special talent for understanding his students, even through online classes.
Radha’s Tantra flow class is absolutely beautiful, taking everyone into the depths of Tantric practices and their vibrations.
I’m currently enrolled in their 200-hour teacher training program, and let me tell you, the instruction on Tantra and Yoga is incredibly deep. World Peace Yoga has an amazing team, and joining their family will truly transform you!

June 4, 2020 at 12:00 amThere’s nothing much to mention. I came into this course with certain expectations based on my previous experience, but I was really surprised by how different it turned out to be. It feels like being in a classroom with the teachers right in front of us. They address any questions or confusion immediately, just like in a classroom. And let’s not forget about the teachers’ knowledge and professionalism. They really know their stuff. The main goal of the instruction is to make the experience enjoyable while also promoting focus, confidence, and mind/body awareness. This leads to well-rounded and healthy teachers. The course materials are well-researched, well-balanced, and easy to understand.
I’m confident that I’ll leave this course prepared to face any challenges life throws at me. I really enjoyed being part of this online course, especially considering it was their first one. I was so impressed that once Covid-19 is over, my wife and I plan to visit in person for another course and to meet Guruji and the other teachers. I’ve already signed up for a Tantra course and plan to take more courses in the future. I feel like I’ve started a lifelong journey.
This course was presented in such a professional and detailed manner, it’s clear that it’s a new beginning for World Peace Yoga School. May God bless this school.

January 28, 2020 at 12:00 amThe facilities at this place are absolutely horrible! I mean, you won’t believe it, but there’s mold growing out of the walls, cleanliness is nonexistent, and the food they serve is all carbs. And don’t even get me started on the kitchen – it’s just nasty!
So, get this, there were four of us in our class, and three of us actually lived on the school premises. And guess what? We all got really sick! Can you believe that? To make matters worse, there’s no hot water in the female dorm, and we face water outages at least once a day. It’s unreal!
And let’s talk about the staff – they are incredibly impolite and all they do is sit around on their phones. I mean, even the owner during kirtan is constantly on his phone! It’s just ridiculous. We went to this place to get a 300-hour certification, but guess what? We didn’t even get it! We barely received half the required hours, and they had the audacity to give us a certificate for it. This school is a complete scam and should not be allowed to provide certification. They definitely don’t meet the requirements of Yoga Alliance.
Thankfully, BookYogaRetreats helped us try to get a refund. In the end, we only received a very small refund from the school and a refund of the commission from BookYogaRetreats themselves. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Trust me, stay away.
On a slightly positive note, I will say that the location was quite central and made it easy to access everything. The classes on anatomy, hatha, and alignment were actually quite good with knowledgeable teachers. But honestly, that’s about the only positive thing I can say about this whole experience.

July 27, 2019 at 12:00 amThe heat during summer, especially when there were power cuts, gave me a hard time sometimes. But the school has no control over that. I can’t even begin to express how happy and grateful I am to have chosen this School. From the very beginning, everyone made sure the school felt like home to us – a home away from home, and I truly appreciate that. The Training syllabus is outstanding, and all the subjects are super interesting and relevant for anyone who wants to delve deeper into the ancient knowledge of Yoga after the 200hr. This wouldn’t be possible without the amazing, professional, and inspirational Teachers and Founder. You can tell that Yoga is a part of their daily lives. The Staff, both at reception and in the kitchen, are always friendly and helpful, with a smile on their faces. The atmosphere and energy of the place are really nice, it feels light and bright. The school also has a beautiful garden area and a big balcony with a view of the mountains. The Halls where we have classes are clean and fully equipped. I want to thank each and every one of you for making this transformational experience in my life so unique. Thanks to you, I feel like I have a home in Rishikesh now, and if I ever consider taking another Yoga Training, this would definitely be the place. However, thanks to a highly skilled translator and the yoga teacher’s dedication, it was well-managed! Overall, it was a wonderful stay in Lithuania. The accommodation was decent. December 31, 2018 at 12:00 amI wasn’t really disappointed by anything. I knew the ashram wouldn’t be a luxury hotel, but it had everything I needed. It was a bit colder in December than I expected, but I had enough blankets to keep me warm. The hot water for showers didn’t last long, but that was okay because cold water helped wake me up in the mornings! The 200 hour Kundalini yoga teacher training exceeded all my expectations. The staff and teachers were amazing – so knowledgeable and friendly. They truly felt like family. Even though it was an intensive course, with early mornings and late nights, I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the spiritual side of yoga. We had plenty of opportunities to practice meditation, asanas, and more as a group. Plus, there was enough free time to explore the town and have fun!

December 5, 2018 at 12:00 amThe teaching methodology session only took us 10 minutes. Honestly, I expected to spend more time discussing how to build a sequence, proper postures during practice, and what to do at the start and end of each session. I think it would be better to start focusing on these aspects from the second week onwards and ask students to do their practices for 30 minutes every day, providing them with constructive feedback. After all, I joined this course to become a teacher, not just to practice yoga every day.
Speaking of feedback, as a student, I would appreciate receiving constructive feedback from the teachers instead of just hearing “very good.” I want to know about my progress and what I need to improve on. Throughout the course, we asked the teachers for constructive feedback multiple times, but they always replied with a simple “very good.”
Now, let’s talk about food. As a yogi, I expected to be served bland food, or at least food without too many spices. However, every lunch and dinner, the food was the same, with the only difference being chapati during dinner. The meals were heavy and always contained a lot of black peppers. Despite requesting bland food, I ended up eating boiled carrots and potatoes for a whole month. As a yogi, I believe the food we consume should nourish not only our bodies but also our minds and souls.
Moving on to the manual, in my opinion, it should provide adjustments for each pose. The anatomy section should provide general information about each system, but the explanation of muscles is not clear enough. Additionally, it should include postures that can be done based on certain conditions or muscle imbalances, such as a herniated disk.
This experience allowed me to delve deeper into myself and change my perspective on life and the world. I learned various breathing techniques that have improved my daily life, as well as valuable skills and knowledge that I can now share with others. Furthermore, I discovered how to coexist with people from different countries and how to share common spaces like the dining room and my personal room. It was a wonderful experience because I was free to be myself without anyone pressuring me to change or be someone I’m not. I am truly grateful for all the time and knowledge that each teacher shared with us.

July 23, 2018 at 12:00 amThe course timetable and what’s included in it were falsely advertised. They provided fewer teaching hours than we expected and didn’t cover any teaching methodology. This ended up creating a disappointing and tense atmosphere overall, which is not what you would expect from a yogic experience. I would not recommend this course as a teacher training, but rather as a Yin intensive instead. On a positive note, the location, accommodation, and food were good. Some of the staff members were very knowledgeable and attentive to our complaints, making an effort to make adjustments.

June 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved everything about my experience at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh! Even though the living conditions were a bit humbling compared to what I’m used to, it’s all part of the experience and I felt safe the whole time. Some students complained about the food, but hey, you can’t please everyone. Personally, I didn’t have any complaints. Plus, there’s always the option to go to a local cafe or restaurant and enjoy a whole meal for less than $4 USD.
I can’t fully express how wonderful and fulfilling it was to take the 200hr yoga certification course here. As soon as I arrived at World Peace Yoga School, I instantly felt at home. Guru Vishnu, the owner, greeted us at the entrance and a volunteer helped us with our luggage and showed us to our rooms. Everyone there is incredibly kind and becomes your friend. I’ve truly deepened my yoga beliefs and knowledge.
As someone from NYC, I had my doubts about taking the yoga course in Rishikesh instead of just doing it weekly in the city. But, boy, was I blown away and grateful that I chose to do it here. The teachers are the absolute best and have so much knowledge to share. Classes start at 6am and go until 7pm, six days a week. It’s physically and mentally challenging, but the rewards are incredible. I could keep going on and on about all the amazing people and experiences at WPYS, but there’s just not enough space here, haha.
I’m already looking forward to completing my 300hr course here, hopefully within the next year or two. I can’t wait to apply everything I’ve learned at home!

We were supposed to stay at the tapovan resort, but they took us somewhere else. The accommodations were okay, but considering the price we paid, they weren’t great. It was really difficult to communicate because the staff didn’t speak English. We felt like they were laughing and talking about us behind our backs. We had to wake them up at 7:30am, and it was strange to see them sleeping on the floor in the dining room. The person who took us to the Beatles Ashram was nice, but she had no idea where she was going and didn’t even know who the Beatles were, haha! Most of the time, we ended up doing our own thing. January 21, 2018 at 12:00 amI shivered in the freezing rooms. When I asked about heat, they told me to stick the thick, dust-laden wires into the hole in my room.
My sheets were dirty and old. The room was so cold and depressing that I couldn’t even shower because my towel never dried and I would freeze getting out. I ended up showering at my friend’s place around the corner! Only had 3 excursions when I should have had 5 since I was there for 5 days.
Talking to other guests, I realized I paid a lot more and they seemed much happier in their accommodations. The staff didn’t offer any advice or help with trips. I was the only one on the retreat that week and felt like I was treated more like a nuisance.
It felt like they just took my money on arrival and that was it. I sadly wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it. The instructor was friendly and I enjoyed his teaching and approach on our trips out. It’s strange that he isn’t listed above.
On a positive note, my massage was lovely.

January 7, 2018 at 12:00 amI arrived as planned on Dec 25th, but my room wasn’t ready because of plumbing issues. They moved me to a not-so-great place across the street. It wasn’t until I complained about the unfairness that they finally transferred me to a better room. Unfortunately, my room wasn’t ready for another two nights and by then it was too late to switch rooms. So, I decided to leave the retreat program and take yoga classes at different studios nearby on my own.
The yoga instructor at the retreat wasn’t good and taught us as if we were in a teacher training program, not a retreat. He kept repeating himself. WPY couldn’t offer what I signed up for and didn’t return my deposit even though they were the ones who broke the contract. I felt tricked by the whole experience and I won’t be going back or recommending the school. On a positive note, the food on Christmas night was both delicious and elaborate.
Luckily, someone came to pick me up from the bus station and even took me shopping because it was freezing and I needed to buy some thermals. The driver and his partner were extremely kind, sweet, and considerate.
The excursion to the Shiv temple, where you could see the Himalayas, was amazing.

December 21, 2017 at 12:00 amDuring a 15-day stay, half of the price covers classes and meals, while the other half is for accommodation. At this price (600 euros/month), you will have a shared room with a bathroom. The bathroom is very dirty (although it may appear clean for India), the sheets and towels were all very stained, and the blankets and pillows smelled really bad. Plastic littered the garden beds and there was old forgotten laundry. I won’t dwell on the dishwashing area, which was frankly disgusting and nauseating (the dishes drained into old juice) and the osmosis water filter leaked yellow (definitely do not drink the water!!). In short, at a price close to European rates, you’ll get a dump. Otherwise, you can find accommodation of equal quality for three times less expensive nearby. If you still plan on staying there, don’t forget your towel and pillow if you have the room! Quality education, very interesting classes.

September 1, 2017 at 12:00 amI recommend improving communication with all students by updating the Facebook page to provide notice. It’s a minor change, but I think it would be beneficial for everyone. Overall, I liked everything.

July 29, 2017 at 12:00 amThe course ended, and it was amazing to see the love between the students and feel the teachers’ love and commitment. Laxman Juhla worked its magic, and the warm and heartfelt smiles of the locals made it even better. I’d definitely go back, but the world is huge, so who knows when. If you’re unsure about booking this course, just do it – it’s totally worth it! Thanks for everything!

July 22, 2017 at 12:00 amI didn’t like the living conditions of the staff. It really needs to change. They should be paid better, considering the price we pay to go there, and get rooms with fewer people and AC. The energy of the people you meet in a yoga retreat is absolutely beautiful. I learned a lot from all my classmates and we were constantly sharing questions and positive energy. I changed both physically and mentally, becoming much more flexible and learning to live in the present, which I love.
India is not the cleanest or most organized country, but with a good attitude, you will enjoy it a lot. Honestly, it all depends on you. It’s a complete experience, and I absolutely recommend it. Thanks very much for this experience.

July 21, 2017 at 12:00 amWhen they deliver the rooms, several people complain that there are no bed linen or towels. The quarters are as pictured but they don’t have towels or sheets and they’re not very clean. You ask the staff about it and they are very nice, but everything is very grimy and looks like it’s been used a lot. You have to buy your own toilet paper. When you wash your clothes, they take forever to dry because there is nowhere to hang them and it’s very uncomfortable to have that mess in the room. If they could resolve these issues, the stay would be wonderful.
The teachers are really good, and it’s nice to share with classmates from all over the world. The school’s location is good. The entire staff at the school is very friendly overall.

July 2, 2017 at 12:00 amMy shower was not working well and it was cold, but the rest of the room was great! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. There is a hardworking cleaning staff that keeps the school clean. The food was excellent with lots to try. The teachers were fun and clearly explained the content. They truly care about our education.

June 1, 2017 at 12:00 amThe teachers at Work Peace Yoga School are very knowledgeable and welcome any questions or doubts you may have. The food, always delicious, is ready for you to eat and the chef is willing to accommodate your needs as he is very kind.
The rooms are spacious with a good working fan and the option to add air conditioning. The staff is always ready to help you, answer questions, and ensure you have the best experience possible. The views from common areas are absolutely stunning and definitely worth seeing.
Overall, my journey at Work Peace Yoga School was amazing. I grew so much as a person and gained more knowledge and wisdom than I ever expected. I felt truly blessed to be a part of the Work Peace Yoga School family.

May 6, 2017 at 12:00 amHowever, many students experienced diarrhea while staying here, not sure if it’s due to adjusting to India or just a general food problem. The teachers enthusiastically teach and embody a yogi lifestyle and mindset themselves. They create a stimulating environment that encourages the exchange of thoughts between students. I’ve learned a lot about myself and life here.
Helpful ReviewAdditionally, they go beyond the official 200-hr requirement and teach us a lot about Ayurveda (which I love!), yoga therapy (which is in the 300-hr training), and more.

May 3, 2017 at 12:00 amThe electricity kept going out, but I managed to deal with it.
I went without water for days, which was tough to handle, but I made it through.
I slipped and fell on the stairs that didn’t have railings. When I mentioned it to the staff, they laughed and blamed a language barrier for not understanding. Unacceptable.
The lack of cleanliness in the kitchen made everyone sick. Unacceptable.
The rooms and bathrooms were disgustingly dirty. Unacceptable.
There was no organization for the Sunday excursion, but that’s to be expected in India.
I could keep going, but I’d rather not revisit this experience. The teachers were the only positive part of it all.

April 17, 2017 at 12:00 amI just had to adjust to walking on Laxman Juhla bridge with scooters, monkeys, cows, and people in the rush hour. But it’s all part of the experience and now that I’m back, I’m missing it all! Everything. Once I got used to the chaos on the streets, I felt the magic of Rishikesh. The power of the river Ganga can be felt on the beaches, you can hear its sound and feel its energy, and you understand why it’s considered divine. In the evening, the mountains surround Rishikesh, looking like black clouds against the grey sky, while the town echoes with prayers from the ashrams. The people here are amazing, not focused on money, but welcoming and spiritual. The yoga teachers are incredible, very well-prepared and able to help you correct your postures in a professional way. I will definitely go back.
