Retreat location
Bali, an island of Indonesia, has a predominantly Hindu culture and is gaining popularity. It’s a paradise for nature lovers, with stunning rice fields, mountains, and beaches. Additionally, it is a hub for artists, hippies, surfers, hipsters, celebrities, and the wealthy. Each village and area has its own unique charm, allowing visitors to experience Bali from various perspectives.
The area surrounding our retreat, which is near Canggu, is renowned for its fantastic waves, picturesque scenery, and tranquil atmosphere. It serves as a peaceful escape from the bustling tourist hotspots of Canggu and Kuta, which are known for their lively party scenes and heavy tourism. The warmth and friendliness of the locals are what attract many people to Bali year after year. Moreover, the Canggu area offers some of the finest surf spots in Bali, and our surf school exclusively hires top-notch local instructors who cater to both beginners and experienced surfers.
We believe it is essential to incorporate local traditions and lifestyle into our retreat. By doing so, we create an environment where mutual learning takes place, resulting in a truly enriching experience for everyone involved.
If you’re curious about distances, here are some estimated travel times from the retreat:
– Canggu: only a 15-minute drive away
– Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS): approximately 1 hour by road
– Seminyak: around 45 minutes away
– Ubud: a journey of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
