Recently, Wonderland Healing Center introduced their new herbal steam sauna. Guests can enjoy the sauna day and night, melting away any tension in their bodies with the soothing scent of lemongrass and hot steam. Using the steam sauna has many benefits, such as decreasing recovery time after workouts, improving respiratory health, and promoting relaxation. The sauna also has great acoustics and regularly hosts fire circle events with live musicians. It supports the detoxification process and can help balance various health issues. Regular use of the steam sauna can also reduce the risk of colds and influenza by boosting the immune system. It is hydrating for the skin, improves complexion, and is particularly beneficial for guests going through a detox program. Sauna use helps release toxins and can decrease the production of the stress hormone cortisol. The increased circulation from sauna use can also lead to lower blood pressure and a healthier heart. It’s no wonder why the Scandinavians love using saunas!
Hey there! At Wonderland Healing Center, we’ve got some extra holistic treatments available for you at an additional cost. Take a look at our menu:

February 20, 2024 at 12:00 amThe great rooms were occasionally disturbed by noisy neighbors since sound carries in this beautiful location. The resort had a very social vibe, and the outstanding food and variety of classes catered to everyone’s tastes. We particularly enjoyed the steam room and cold plunge. We also rented a scooter from the resort to explore the island. The check-in and checkout process, as well as the pickup and drop-off at the ferry terminal, were all seamless. The resort attracted a diverse mix of nationalities, singles, couples, and groups. The rooms were always kept clean, and plenty of water was provided.

January 29, 2024 at 12:00 amJ’ai passé une semaine incroyable!

December 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe classes were so packed that it was uncomfortable. You couldn’t even move without touching the people next to you. I decided to skip some classes and spend more time alone to relax and have a better experience. And let me tell you, some of the teachers were a total joke, like this person named Nadja. She had such a negative vibe, didn’t even bother to say hi, and would get defensive when anyone asked her questions. Plus, she kept praising another retreat and telling us to go there instead. It was so weird because we were all here for the same reason and paid to be here. On top of that, she was always outside smoking and that just didn’t sit right with me. But I have to say, I really liked the location and the food. The facility was nice too, except for one thing – the horrible smell everywhere! It was like walking through a stink zone and it made it really hard to enjoy the peace and tranquility.

November 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe location of this place is absolutely amazing – you’ll feel like you’re at the edge of the world! However, sometimes it can be a bit challenging because the nearest village is quite far away. You’ll need to take a taxi unless you can drive a scooter, but taxis here can be quite expensive, just like on all Thai islands.
When you’re booking, I highly recommend going for a private accommodation. The dorms tend to be full with 5-6 people sharing a small space, and the main center is always crowded. So if you’re looking for some privacy, a private room is definitely a better option. Trust me, this may be one of the best retreats you’ll ever experience!
Wonderland is situated right in the middle of a lush forest, and it gives you access to top-notch facilities that are always clean and very comfortable. They have an amazing pool, sauna, and spa that you can enjoy. Plus, the food here is an absolute highlight – it’s the most delicious vegan food you can imagine!
The instructors at this place are super professional and offer various levels and styles of yoga and meditation. This place truly lives up to its name; it’s a real Wonderland and a healing space for anyone who’s seeking peace, connection, and tranquility.

November 4, 2023 at 12:00 amWe totally fell in love with Wonderland! The place was like a dream and the classes were incredible. Every day, there were so many options to choose from, and we got to try out all sorts of new yoga styles. Plus, the classes were open to everyone, no matter their level of experience. Not only that, but they also offered a bunch of other amazing classes like Women’s Circle and Tibetan Singing Bowl Healing, which we absolutely loved.
And let’s not forget about the vegan buffet – it was just out of this world! It changed up every day and never failed to impress us. The staff there was also super friendly and kind.
Seriously, it’s such an amazing place! We had such a great time that we actually ended up extending our stay.

October 23, 2023 at 12:00 amIf you stay longer than a week, some of the workshops might start to repeat a bit. It would be great if they made tiny changes to the schedule or added something slightly different. But you can also redo some of the things you really enjoyed or just take it easy and skip a few. I originally planned to stay at Wonderland for 7 days, but ended up extending my stay for 4 more days. It’s such a magical place where you can attend up to 6 workshops per day, enjoy the pool and the sauna, and meet some truly amazing people. The instructors are all fantastic, and some of them are even quite inspiring. I opted for a private room, which was really great. They clean it every day and make sure you have enough water daily. The food here is absolutely incredible and packed with flavor. I even had the best falafel I’ve ever tasted! I wish I could have stayed even longer, but I’ll definitely be coming back for another visit.

September 8, 2023 at 12:00 amThe resort was nearly full by the end of my stay. The yoga classes became increasingly crowded, making it difficult to move without being mindful of others. We even encountered a shortage of mats and pillows a few times. But despite these challenges, I absolutely adored my stay at the resort and it’s no wonder people keep coming back!
As a beginner in yoga, I never felt lost or out of place. The different teachers always made sure to offer variations of every pose so that everyone, regardless of skill level, could participate. My week there was absolutely perfect, and not only did I learn a lot about yoga, but I also discovered more about myself.
One of the things I loved was that there were always a variety of classes available throughout the day, such as yoga, meditation, and lectures.
I stayed in a dorm, and let me tell you, it was spotlessly clean! I couldn’t have been happier with it.
And oh my goodness, the food was amazing! Every day I eagerly awaited dinner to see what delightful meal was in store.
There were plenty of communal areas where you could meet new people, but also ample space if you just wanted to relax on your own.
And let’s not forget about the water refill stations! They were a fantastic initiative and eliminated the need for plastic bottles.

August 23, 2023 at 12:00 amThe meal schedules. You can have breakfast and lunch from 9 to 1 pm, and dinner is from 6 to 8 pm. As a suggestion, I would expand the schedule by one hour in both cases. I would also include an extra class between 12 and 3 pm because there used to be nothing during that time. We offer a wide variety of classes, such as aromatherapy, sound healing, vipassana meditation, loving and kindness meditation, hatha yoga, and more. The food is delicious. The decoration is beautiful, and every detail is well thought out. The teachers are very professional. They clean the rooms every day.

August 16, 2023 at 12:00 amIt’s so busy and crowded here, almost like a resort with classes rather than a retreat. It’s not really the friendly atmosphere that most retreats offer. You won’t really see much improvement in your yoga practice since the teachers don’t give feedback or guidance, but the classes are still enjoyable. The teachers and western staff could definitely be warmer and friendlier! On the bright side, the food is great and there are plenty of classes to choose from every day. Plus, the whole place looks absolutely stunning!

July 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI had an issue with the general quality of yoga classes at the retreat. Out of the 14 classes I took, only 3 were taught by top-notch instructors. Most instructors would bring people into a pose but not explain how to be in it. They hardly gave any anatomical cues and there was barely any focus on breath work. It was tough to stay present. I wish the instructors paid more attention to the students, but they would just demonstrate the pose and hold it themselves the entire time. As a certified yoga instructor myself, I felt that it lacked engagement and energy. The only time I received assistance throughout the whole week was when a teacher touched students without asking for permission. Some reviews describe the classes as beginner style, but in reality, beginner classes actually require more cues to ensure the correct pose is maintained. I wish Wonderland had higher standards for the quality of their classes and had instructors like Amber or Raj teaching more often. Ewa’s Reiki session was absolutely worth every penny. The food was excellent. Raj’s Kundalini and Amber’s Flow classes were outstanding. I really enjoyed David’s Hatha stretch and Nadja’s meditation. The specials were all must-do activities. I left the retreat with a wonderful spiritual experience. The staff was amazing and the sauna was fantastic. Overall, I loved the retreat and I would definitely do it again. The meditations and specials alone were worth it. I really miss the pool!

The massage was great, but it was a little pricey. I absolutely loved the variety of different options for yoga and meditation lessons.
The food was heavenly. Thank you for providing such a wonderful variety.

June 18, 2023 at 12:00 amOne instructor really impressed me with how they conducted the healing class. I personally believe that they excel more as a mindfulness coach rather than a yoga/pilates instructor. However, I was disappointed because there was a lack of harmony in the class. The pilates flow sequence was completely off, like starting with pilates 100s before anything else and not mentioning the importance of breath throughout the session.
On a separate note, unfortunately, both myself and another girl in my dorm ended up getting food poisoning from the dinner. It was definitely a downer, but it seemed like only the two of us were affected. Despite that, the place itself is absolutely lovely and perfect for relaxation. The staff members are all helpful, and you get to meet interesting people.
Interestingly, none of the three instructors I wanted to review are actually listed. However, two of them conducted fantastic classes with well-thought-out structures. I enjoyed the challenge in the flow, although it’s worth mentioning that overall, it felt more suitable for beginners in yoga.

June 6, 2023 at 12:00 amI noticed that most of the people attending were very young and the atmosphere wasn’t particularly friendly, which is unusual for a yoga retreat. The staff and instructors were fantastic, but it made me wonder how it would have been if I were a beginner since most classes were at an intermediate level or higher. If you’ve never done yoga before, this might not be the best place for you. There are lots of classes and activities offered every day, so you can choose to join in or not. The setting is beautiful and the facilities are well taken care of. They offer a wide range of classes and the room I stayed in was very nice. It’s truly a special place.

May 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI noticed some things missing in the dorm: each bed didn’t have a plug and reading light. Also, the metal bunk beds were making a lot of noise, so if you moved, you risked waking up the person underneath you. Other than that, everything was perfect.
The classes were really good. They gave us a schedule with 1 morning meditation and 2 morning yoga classes. In the afternoon, there was 1 more meditation class and 1 more yoga class. You could choose how you managed your day.
There was always a break between 11:30 and 15:00 with no classes, so you could enjoy the pool, hammam, or even go for a scooter/bike ride. Food was served from 9-13:00 and 18:00-20:00. There was nothing in between, but you could order a smoothie or go to a nearby restaurant.
The food was vegan and good, the hammam was amazing, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an amazing stay and I can only recommend it.

April 13, 2023 at 12:00 amThe meditation sessions are a bit challenging to get used to when you’re used to only meditating for a max of 25 minutes in everyday life. Since they go quite long during the retreat, it’s a challenge not to fall asleep every time. Unfortunately, I was sick for the first two days, but I couldn’t imagine a better place to heal. They took care of me and I was able to move into a private room at short notice. I don’t think I’ve ever recovered so quickly. The food was simply delicious and always fresh!! The yoga classes were wonderful, I could just let go. However, due to my illness, I could only attend 2 classes. There’s definitely a huge variety of yoga classes available and I’m sure there’s something for everyone 🙂 The place itself is simply magical. April 4, 2023 at 12:00 amThe resort is not located by the beach and it costs around 150-200 per person to take a taxi to get there. However, they do offer free beach trips once a week or so. That was the only thing I didn’t like! I literally have no other complaints. I absolutely loved it there!
The atmosphere at the resort was so healing, relaxed, and loving. It was incredibly easy to let go of stress while I was there. Every person I encountered, from the reception staff to the restaurant workers, cleaners, masseuses, teachers, and even other guests, were extremely friendly. I met so many wonderful people during my stay and even stayed in touch with them afterwards. I stayed in a dorm room for four people and everyone was incredibly respectful. January 8, 2023 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, someone stole 5000 Baht from my always locked private room. It didn’t make sense to me at first, and I wondered if I had dropped it somewhere. However, I realized that I hadn’t left Wonderland during my stay, and when I heard from three other guests that they had experienced the same thing, I felt really unsafe. I reported it to the reception, and they assured me that they would inform the boss. It’s a shame because I would have loved to recommend this place to my friends, but after this experience, I don’t consider it safe. They definitely need to address the issue of staff members touching or stealing from the guests. On a positive note, the food was really good and the atmosphere was great.

December 22, 2022 at 12:00 amI recommend having a greater variety of breakfast choices and avoiding repeating the same food every week. The retreat offered a wide range of courses, including yoga, meditation, energy work, and more. It was the best experience I’ve ever had at a retreat. The location was fantastic, and the food tasted fresh and delicious. It’s a welcoming place that I highly recommend, without hesitation.

December 3, 2022 at 12:00 amThe dormitory flooded, so we had to escape through the window at 4am. Unfortunately, a lot of my clothes got ruined in the process.
Helpful ReviewI ended up getting a “virus” or food poisoning while staying there, which made me sick for three days. I couldn’t eat anything.
But, I did enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the smiling people, and the outdoor activities, even though they only happened twice a week.
The breakfast is decent, although it’s always the same. It might be a bit late for those who prefer to eat early since it starts at 9am. However, the dinner is excellent and they change the menu every day.
The yoga lessons are enjoyable and they even offer meditation as well.

November 23, 2022 at 12:00 amMost yoga classes solely focus on pure asana or fitness, even if they were meant to be Level 1. I just prefer other types of yoga.
Unfortunately, when I was in Wonderland, they didn’t offer Sound healing, Wim Hof, or Mantra Chanting workshops, which I would have loved to attend. Make sure to check the schedule before you come. Wonderland is such a beautiful place to be!
I had such a great time there and now feel purified, relaxed, and connected to my inner peace. My favorite way to start the day was the daily Vipassana Meditations with Yaron.
I also loved the Kundalini Hatha classes with Raj. He has such deep knowledge and wisdom. And the Yin Yoga and Aromatherapy workshop with Liz was fantastic. There was a great women’s circle with lovely Amor, and Stephanie’s classes were also very good.
The food there is incredibly delicious. Enjoy your time in paradise!

November 22, 2022 at 12:00 amI felt very comfortable in Wonderland. The people were very nice, the food is excellent. It was also clean and the yoga classes were great too. Personally, Yin Yoga wasn’t much of a challenge for me, but the classes are suitable for beginners. I even extended my stay because I felt comfortable, and it wasn’t a problem at all. The staff members are very nice. The location is a bit hard to reach, but if you have a scooter, it’s easier. Otherwise, you can order a taxi from the hotel.

November 20, 2022 at 12:00 amWe’ve been here for four days. On the last night, we caught the worst stomach virus. We couldn’t move or do anything. We had a fever, experienced diarrhea, felt nauseous, and even puked for three whole days. It feels like we wasted both our money and our health. It’s so unfair that we paid to feel rejuvenated, but instead, we ended up feeling even worse. It’s tough to leave a negative review, but after feeling so terrible, we feel compelled to share our experience with others. Although the yoga classes were enjoyable and the teachers were great.

In a place like this, where a lot of people might be going through some tough inner processes, it’s really important to feel safe with everybody around. But hey, overall, this place is like a little slice of heaven! The classes, sessions, talks, and even the food, everything was just amazing. And the facility itself is quite lovely. October 16, 2022 at 12:00 amI came for an eight day retreat in October and let me tell you, the place was absolutely stunning! It’s so lush and inviting with all the greenery around. The facilities were top-notch and the yoga teachers were incredibly experienced.
But you know what really made it a magical experience? The atmosphere of togetherness. There were these long tables at the buffet restaurant where you could mingle with like-minded people from all over the world. The conversations we had were truly deep and meaningful, and before I knew it, I felt like I truly belonged there.
When it was time for me to leave, I had made some amazing new connections. And I found myself pondering over how I could bring the wonders of this place into my everyday life back at home.

September 27, 2022 at 12:00 amI spent 7 nights in the dorm room at Wonderland. It wasn’t the best dorm I’ve ever stayed in, but hey, you’re really just there to sleep anyway. During the day, they offer lots of classes like different types of yoga and meditation, lectures, and other activities like hiking to a waterfall or taking a sunset tour. The great thing is, you get to decide if you want to join or not. If you’re in the mood to relax, you can hang out by the pool, use the sauna, or get a massage.
And let me tell you, the food is incredible! As a vegetarian, I usually struggle finding options, but they had a whole vegan buffet. It was like heaven for me! Everything was absolutely delicious.
I’ve overheard many people saying that they plan on coming back every year now, and I couldn’t agree more.

September 14, 2022 at 12:00 amNothing Wonderland offers an amazing little oasis in the jungle of Ko Pha Ngan. The rooms, which we make sure to clean and service daily, provide a comfortable stay. You don’t need to worry about shampoo and bath gel, as we provide them for your convenience. Trust me, the vegan buffet is absolutely wonderful, and you can even try out a variety of international dishes. We offer an economic and reliable laundry service too.
Throughout the day, we have different types of meditations and yoga classes available for you to participate in, along with interesting talks, movies, and fire nights. If you’d like some relaxation time, we have a sauna, cold plunge pool, swimming pool, and various lounging areas. During the week, we also offer complimentary trips to go hiking in the jungle or enjoy the beach.
In addition to all of that, we have multiple holistic treatment modalities available, including the famous Thai Massage. Believe me, this place is truly a wonderland. I highly recommend coming here for a truly unforgettable experience.

August 20, 2022 at 12:00 amThe evening programs at Wonderland were a mix of different topics, but they seemed a bit disorganized. The schedules were posted and easy to follow, but some of the topics were vague. The instructors who came to speak would sometimes introduce themselves and share their experiences, while others would take a more informal approach. I wanted to join in, but without more information, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable entering. I didn’t want to risk an awkward exit or sit in on a session I wasn’t really interested in.
Wonderland was a really nice place to stay if you wanted to relax, heal, and meet like-minded people. Some days, we had structured classes, while other days I was happy just to enjoy meals, socialize, lounge by the pool, get a massage, and relax in the different areas around the resort. I met multiple people who had come back to Wonderland after a satisfying initial visit. I stayed at the resort for my entire trip and didn’t feel the need to venture outside because I was so content with the food and social atmosphere. The variety and freshness of the food were excellent, and it was a great opportunity to explore a different way of eating, something that I’ve continued even after leaving Wonderland.

I’ve met so many incredible people who I’m still in touch with. Leaving this magical place was really tough for me. July 1, 2022 at 12:00 amI can’t believe how amazing everything was! Seriously, I don’t even know where to start. The whole experience at wonderland was absolutely incredible. Originally, I planned on staying for just three nights, but I ended up extending my stay to six nights. That’s how much I enjoyed it!
The food they served was unbelievably good. And let me tell you, the place itself looked stunning with plenty of chill areas. The pool was great, and even the rooms (I stayed in a dorm) and bathrooms were really nice. I, being a solo traveler, was eager to meet new people, and it was so easy to strike up a conversation with others. The staff and everyone I encountered were incredibly nice.
The yoga and meditation teachers were absolutely amazing, and the schedule was well-planned. The best part is that you don’t have to attend every class if you don’t want to, which is a nice flexibility. They also organize some great “outings” like hiking to a waterfall, making flower crowns, or watching the sunset at the beach. But personally, I enjoyed the evening talks the most.
If you’re considering a yoga retreat, trust me, go to wonderland! It’s beyond amazing, and you won’t want to leave.

June 8, 2022 at 12:00 amThis place on Koh Phangan feels like a hidden paradise. Everything here is so beautiful. I loved the atmosphere at the retreat too. I got to meet and connect with other young women who are just like me – they enjoy yoga and having deep conversations over coffee.
The vegan buffets were absolutely incredible – like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. I haven’t felt this amazing in my own body for years.
I decided to stay in a dorm to save some money, and it turned out to be a great choice. The dorms were basic, but that’s what you expect from a dorm. If you’re looking for a little more luxury, I’d suggest getting a private room.

May 6, 2022 at 12:00 amI would suggest the team provide more details about activities like hikes and the sunset tour so that people know what to expect. I did both and they were absolutely awesome, but different from what you might expect just based on the names. It’s truly a magical place. In the 4 days I spent there, I relaxed and restored myself more than I ever would at a typical beach resort.
The schedule is packed with activities, so everyone can choose what they like. There are so many things to do that even when it rained heavily for several days in a row, it didn’t feel like torture. In fact, it was a positive experience.
The food is great too. Even though I’m not a vegan, I found it easy to enjoy the vegan options because they were all yummy.
Overall, it’s a serene and peaceful place!

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, the welcome at the retreat was a letdown. We didn’t receive any information on how things worked, and we were promised a welcome drink and a yoga consultation when we booked. It would have been much better if they took just five minutes to chat with us about how the classes operated and ask us about our goals and injuries. This lack of clarity even extended to the daily smoothie, which was included in the booking but we had to negotiate for it each day, which felt awkward.
Aly and Lauren were amazing instructors. They warmly welcomed us to the sessions, and Lauren went the extra mile by adapting postures and giving feedback to everyone. However, some of the other teachers were not as friendly. Their welcome felt cold and full of ego. In those sessions, there was no interaction and it all felt robotic and unenthusiastic.
On another occasion, the classes were overbooked and there wasn’t enough room for everyone. Personally, I believe the site should never be overbooked so that everyone can attend every session they wish. And to top it off, a hike got cancelled due to bad weather but no one bothered to communicate it to us.
However, I must say that the site itself was really nice. It was attractive and well-maintained. And the food was absolutely delicious.

April 8, 2022 at 12:00 amWonderland is a great place to be if you want to feel safe and meet people who are similar to you. However, I felt like it was mostly filled with Westerners and I missed having options for Thai food. I thought that Wonderland would be situated on one of those charming mountains, but it turns out that the grounds are actually flat. It’s definitely worth having a scooter to explore the area. The daily class schedule at Wonderland is fantastic, offering a wide range of activities and interesting approaches to meditation and yoga. The majority of the yoga instructors are amazing and the food is delicious. They also have a nice selection of treatments available, although they are a bit on the pricier side.

April 5, 2022 at 12:00 amI had a bit of a setback during my experience at Wonderland when I contracted COVID. My roommate on the first day tested positive for the virus, but was still instructed to attend classes and act as if everything was normal. She didn’t inform me about her positive status until the second day, right before she checked out. She had been coughing, had a fever, and had been testing positive for COVID the whole time, despite being told by management that she didn’t need to self-isolate. It wasn’t surprising that I also ended up getting COVID just five days later after spending the entire night in the dorm room with her without wearing masks.
Wonderland has this belief that everyone is constantly being exposed to asymptomatic carriers of the virus, which is probably true. However, I hadn’t caught COVID in the past two years until I stayed with someone who was clearly very sick. In the end, to limit the chance of exposing others, I decided to stay away from classes and activities for five days, since that’s what is expected in my culture. It wasn’t the end of the world, but I would’ve appreciated being informed about my roommate’s situation so I could have chosen to move to a private room and avoid exposure.
From my experience, it seems that if you’re really afraid of contracting COVID, it might be a good idea to book a private room at Wonderland for now. I stayed at Wonderland for a few weeks mainly for yoga, meditation, and other sessions to help me relax and refocus after some personal challenges. I didn’t have any expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned during those three weeks. I didn’t have much experience with yoga and meditation before, so I tried everything they offered. The variety of classes was extensive, with something different each day. I must have tried at least 30 new things in such a short time! I enjoyed almost everything, and a few of the meditation and energy sessions really opened up new perspectives for me, which I’ve taken back home with me.
Overall, this trip fulfilled all my needs and more. Additionally, I found it effortless to connect with everyone else staying at Wonderland and made many new friends. The instructors, facilitators, and the friendly and accommodating staff all contributed to making my experience great. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to come back again, but I definitely will, and this time with my daughter. There were a few other kids there, and they had a great pool for her to enjoy.

January 8, 2022 at 12:00 amMy boyfriend and I just had our first time in Koh Phangan at Wonderland, and we can’t stop gushing about our experience to everyone we meet! The yoga classes here are fantastic – they last for an hour and a half and are suitable for all levels. I was amazed at how much I improved in just one week, even though I’ve been doing yoga for years.
What I love about Wonderland is that they have a variety of yoga teachers and styles, so if one doesn’t suit you, there are plenty of other options to choose from. They offer at least three yoga classes a day, along with three or more meditation classes – it’s more than we expected!
Initially, my boyfriend only came with me because I’m into yoga, but by the end of our week at Wonderland, he was doing handstands! The vegan buffet for brunch and dinner was simply amazing – it filled us up, was absolutely delicious, and super healthy. It was a refreshing change from the constant Thai food we’ve been having.
Another great thing about this place is the dorms and common eating areas. We ended up making friends with other guests, and we spent so much time hanging out with them throughout the rest of our stay in Koh Phangan. I can’t say enough good things about this place – it’s truly amazing!

August 5, 2020 at 12:00 amI think they should offer more yoga classes since some days there’s only one. The white rabbit room is too small for the number of people using it. If you don’t have a bike, it might be tough to explore the island – you’ll probably end up just chilling at the retreat (which isn’t a bad idea!). The cleaning staff weren’t very friendly and cleaning was hit or miss – found a bunch of ants in my room! But overall, the experience was fantastic. The food is clean, healthy, and diverse. The meditation and yoga sessions are top-notch, and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. It’s a great place to stay for those who prefer activities over just sunbathing all day, though that’s an option too. Wonderland retreat is a good choice for first-timers to meditation and yoga retreats, as it’s not a fully immersive experience. March 3, 2020 at 12:00 amThe 6-bed dorms are okay but not luxurious. The beds wobble and squeak; there’s only the main room light, so it’s easy to disturb each other; there are no cabinets, so clothes are always in backpacks on the floor; bed curtains would be nice for some privacy, a shelf by the bed to put things on would also be useful. All of this didn’t bother me much in the first week because everything else was great, but unfortunately it got very crowded in Wonderland in my second week… we squeezed over 40 people into the shala, which definitely wasn’t fun anymore. If you were late, you couldn’t participate. The relaxed family atmosphere was lost at meal times. Waiting in line, waiting, or even missing out on food. Drinks were empty late at night, no towels left, etc… Very disappointing, the first week was really fantastic… The quiet jungle location, beautifully landscaped, diverse weekly program> good for trying new things, friendly, laid-back atmosphere, very mixed crowd, the steam sauna, everything very well-maintained and clean, the buffet is really great.

Whatever your reason for visiting, you’ll find it in Wonderland. You can connect with like-minded people or enjoy solitude while journaling about your healing journey. The vegan food was not only delicious but also super healthy, and the playlist in the dining area was so good.
The service at the reception and in the kitchen was friendly. The people who run this place are spectacular and warm-hearted. I can’t wait to come back to Wonderland!

February 25, 2020 at 12:00 amI thought a lot of the yoga was too basic and didn’t really cater to intermediate levels. I would’ve liked a more physical yoga workout. Still giving 5 stars though! The room and facilities were excellent. The steam room and plunge pool were a nice touch. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. They even provided plenty of bottled water. As a meat eater, I really enjoyed the food available. It’s perfect for people looking for a “cleaner” holiday or those new to yoga.

February 14, 2020 at 12:00 amSome of the bedding had stains and was old. When I asked, the reception staff didn’t know much about the content in the classes. The television wasn’t working for my entire stay. Wonderland has a great vibe and energy overall. The teachers and staff are amazing and very friendly. The food is top quality. I hope the place can only get better with time and a few tweaks.

February 14, 2020 at 12:00 amThe yoga class level depends on who participates, so it mainly caters to beginners. It’s not really an ‘advanced’ class. Adding a class just for intermediate yogis would be lovely. I absolutely adored wonderland. The food was beyond amazing – vegan buffet for every meal. I’m speechless about how good it was. And you get a free shake or coconut every day, they’re top-notch. Unlimited coffee with almond or coconut milk, and a self-serve tea station. The camp itself is stunning and the vibes are so peaceful and positive. I learned a lot from the meditation classes. Overall, it was such a great experience. The classes are fantastic too, I can’t express how much I loved it.

February 10, 2020 at 12:00 amMy time at Wonderland was truly transformative. People from all walks of life come to this special place for an array of reasons. Wonderland offers a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere that creates a safe space for deep healing. I was able to let go of many things and reflect on limiting beliefs I had about myself. And let me tell you, the food here is absolutely incredible (a major bonus for me!). The sauna and cold plunge pool were also a highlight of my experience. The variety of classes, different yoga styles, meditation techniques, and breath work approaches were amazing.
I enjoyed my time at Wonderland so much that I ended up extending my stay. Koh Phangan truly is a magical island and paradise on Earth. After spending two weeks at Wonderland, I’ve decided to return to the island in three weeks to start my Yoga Teacher Training.

January 29, 2020 at 12:00 amThe accommodation disappointed me. It’s basic – there’s no shelf near the bed or anywhere to store anything. The sink leaked, the shower was awful, and the shower holder was broken. They need hand soap in both toilets. Despite all that, I’d come back in a heartbeat because everything else was top-notch. Everyone loved the place. Most things were fantastic. The staff is amazing, the classes exceeded my expectations, and the food was incredible. They should publish a cookbook – it would be a bestseller.

January 15, 2020 at 12:00 amI wasn’t really into dancing, so the evening options didn’t interest me much. I would’ve preferred an evening Yin Yoga class or more meditation at 8pm instead of something upbeat, but it seems like others really enjoyed it. I can’t praise this retreat enough – and I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. I’ve been doing yoga for a couple of years, but had never been on a retreat before. The timing and location worked out after a work trip and I’m so glad I took a chance on this place. As soon as I arrived (they even gave me a welcome drink while I checked in), I felt right at home. Meeting people from all over the world during meals was a delight, but I also enjoyed relaxing in a hammock with a good book or writing in my journal by the pool in between classes and activities. Not every yoga style or instructor was my favorite, but it was great to try new things like Aerial Yoga (my favorite) and Laughter Yoga (weird, but fun to try). The location was perfect – secluded yet close to beautiful hikes to nearby waterfalls and mountain views. The dorm rooms were comfy and the beds surprisingly soft. I highly recommend a Thai massage – I wish I had gotten one every day. I enjoyed every minute and it was perfect that it started raining as soon as I left. Getting to Koh Phangan was a bit challenging with all the flights, ferries, and buses, but if I ever have the chance to go back, I definitely will. Great job, Wonderland team!

December 6, 2019 at 12:00 amGoing from Ko Samui airport to your island involves taking a transfer and ferry, which can be a bit inconvenient. However, the center has a great atmosphere and really helps you feel calm.
They should update the list of instructors. I really enjoyed Selina’s Yin Yoga and Chakra Yoga classes. And the instructor who did Kundalini yoga on Wednesday, December 4th was great.
All the yoga instructors are very professional and we learned a lot from them. We always feel the benefits after each session. The only downside is that some sessions get pretty crowded.

December 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI have two constructive criticisms. First, I think the yoga equipment should be washed and cleaned daily as they all had a bad smell. Second, the mattresses are very hard, making it painful to sleep on. I believe adding a mattress topper would be helpful. However, the staff was very accommodating and brought me extra blankets to sleep on. Overall, I love everything about this place – the food and yoga were amazing, and the accommodations and amenities were fantastic. November 23, 2019 at 12:00 amWonderland truly lives up to its name as a wonderland. It offers something for every holiday style. If you’re looking to relax and unwind, there are plenty of amenities to help you do just that – from a beautiful pool and sauna to massages, delicious vegan food, coconuts, tranquil surroundings, yin yoga, and meditation. I highly recommend planning to stay for at least a week to fully experience everything Wonderland has to offer. And if you find it hard to leave, you can always extend your stay!
For those looking to be more active, there are bicycles (and scooters!) available to explore the island and visit its beautiful beaches. You can cycle around and enjoy nature or go snorkeling by KohMa. I personally took some Ashtanga classes outside of Wonderland, but there are different yoga styles and teachers available every day, with excellent guidance for beginners.
If you’re interested in diving deeper into your practice, I highly recommend the ice bath pranayama style classes. They really focus on breathing techniques and breath retention, giving you a new perspective on mindfulness and everyday living. But the ultimate experience for me was The Inner Walk. It opened my eyes to things I never knew and taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me every day. Thank you, Wonderland, for an unforgettable experience!

November 20, 2019 at 12:00 amWonderland contracts with instructors all over the island, so sometimes there are last minute schedule changes or even canceled classes, but that’s just how it goes. Construction due to rainstorms was a bit disruptive, but hey, can’t control the weather, right? It’s all good practice to roll with the punches.
The staff takes care of all your needs at this wonderful retreat center. You can drop in on yoga, meditation, or any other session any day. It’s a great way to mix things up with different instructors and styles.
I had a private room with one other person, and it was perfect – comfy beds, private bathroom, and AC. Every room even has a hammock on the porch or balcony, which we definitely made use of. The rooms are clean and quiet, except maybe on a full moon when folks are partying a bit later than usual.
Let’s talk about the food – so delicious! I came looking for vegan options and they blew me away. Smoothies, coconuts, Reiki, massages – they really know how to pamper you. And if you want more treatments, they’re totally affordable. The staff even helped us out with motorbike rentals, taxis, and island tours.
The facilities are gorgeous, but I came right after some crazy storms so the pool and one set of bathrooms were temporarily out of commission. They got everything fixed up and running again quickly though.
Trust me, book more days than you think you need. It’s totally worth it.

October 8, 2019 at 12:00 amYin and restorative yoga are fantastic here, but if you’re looking for power or vinyasa classes, this might not be the place for you. Out of the 10 yoga classes I took, only one was actually level 2 or challenging. Most of the classes were pretty mellow. I really needed hip openers, but only two classes included them. None of the teachers had a vinyasa sequence, where you move with each breath. They were all knowledgeable, but they tended to pace the class more slowly and talk a bit more. On the bright side, the facilities, staff, food, and schedule were all excellent. It’s definitely a treat to be on such a beautiful property and the teachers were knowledgeable and took their classes seriously.

July 6, 2019 at 12:00 amNot much bad here! There are lots of insects, it’s like a jungle. One girl had two huge spiders in her bathroom! The location is right in the middle of the island with no vista or view. The common area stops the music at 10pm and doesn’t allow playing cards, and there are no pool toys which is a bummer. Some of the yoga classes move at a slow, plodding pace. The dorm lockers aren’t big enough for backpacks, but those banana pancakes are amazing, like crack! I’ll definitely come back just for those. The dorms are modern and immaculate with two bathrooms, and there are hammocks and lounge beds everywhere. The sauna and ice pool are amazing, and the pool is always the perfect temperature and cleaned daily. There are plug sockets near each bed, and the common areas are comfy and welcoming. The staff is kind and helpful, and the instructors are super friendly. The food is amazing, fresh, and varied, and the classes are solid and varied (improv contact was hilarious). June 8, 2019 at 12:00 amThe only downside is being far from the beach, but it’s easily solved with a motorcycle or taxi. If you’re looking for a healthy getaway, a few days of relaxation to reflect and find yourself, this is the ideal place. The classes and instructors are wonderful, the setting is a paradise, the facilities are great, especially the pool, and the vegan food is the tastiest I’ve ever had. A 20 out of 10. Thank you!

June 2, 2019 at 12:00 amIn the bathroom, the water pipe or something similar smelled unpleasant. They had very good vegan food, with a lot of raw options, warm dishes, and delicious fruits. The bed was comfortable, the environment was beautiful with lots of plants, and there was a warm pool. There were many opportunities to relax and unwind, with a varied and attractive daily program. I met very nice people and had many wonderful new experiences.

May 26, 2019 at 12:00 amIt would be nice to be by the sea, but you can’t have it all 😉 Otherwise, there are absolutely no criticisms! I particularly liked the attentive nature of a staff member. He approached me and addressed my problem. The accommodation was cheap and therefore very basic (but I already knew that.. shared rooms). The courses were doable for everyone, even beginners who were experiencing it for the first time. So, very good! The reviews about the food were not lying or exaggerating. EXCELLENT!! Overall, I can only recommend a stay 🙂

May 25, 2019 at 12:00 amIf you’ve never been to a yoga retreat but have some experience with basic asana practice or just don’t want to stick to one specific yoga system, then this retreat is for you. You can choose from three classes a day led by great teachers, plus two different meditation sessions, interesting lectures, and evening activities. There’s plenty to keep you busy, whether you’re staying for a long or short period.
The vegan food here is top-notch – flavorful, fresh, and with lots of options. I seriously considered kidnapping the chef!

May 5, 2019 at 12:00 amI felt a little disappointed when construction was happening near my room during the first two days. It would have been better if they had informed me about it at check in. The private room had a huge balcony with a hammock, table and chairs, and a drying rack. The pool was always clean and there were plenty of spots to relax alone or with others. The yoga facilities were beautifully decorated, the instructors were passionate and professional, there was a wide variety of classes, and the whole place just oozed relaxation. April 29, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t find some of the evening workshops very exciting or appealing. I would have liked to see more variety or different types of yoga like Iyengar.
I booked this yoga retreat to get out of my comfort zone and improve my mental well-being. I wanted to rediscover my passion for yoga and give meditation another shot. It took a lot of courage to book my first retreat ever, but I’m so happy I chose Wonderland Healing Centre. The value for money is incredible, with fresh vegan meals served three times a day. My private room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I even got a free massage and had plenty of classes throughout the day to keep me busy. I also had time to relax in the sun or read a book. The restaurant area was a great place to unwind or take a nap.
The yoga instructors were fantastic, especially Naama in Wild Organic Yoga and Camilla in Yin Yoga. I also loved the SOMA breathing yoga workshop and Yoga Nidra classes.
I enjoyed my stay so much that I ended up extending it for almost a week. It was originally planned for just three nights.

The atmosphere in this place is incredibly relaxed, quiet, and peaceful. You can choose from different classes all day long. It’s not only about practicing yoga or other activities, the teacher also explains a lot so you learn a lot as well. The food was the best I’ve ever eaten in a hotel, fresh and super healthy. It’s a perfect place if you want some time by yourself. Still, you meet people because lots of them are alone as well. I would definitely come again!

April 16, 2019 at 12:00 amI wish the sea were closer. It’s a 15-minute cab ride costing 150-200 baht. It would’ve been nice if there was a free shuttle to the beach on a fixed schedule. More diversity in meditation would be interesting too. The daily program can get repetitive if you stay longer, but it’s no big deal if you’re not too experienced. The place has great energy and is surrounded by lush greenery. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the details. I stayed in the dorm for 11 nights and it was very clean, with bed sheets and towels changed daily. The staff are sweet and helpful, and the food is amazing. All the yoga teachers were nice and it was great to experience different styles.

March 27, 2019 at 12:00 amMy only complaint about the experience was the sleeping situation. In all the other hostels I stayed in Thailand, the dorm beds came with their own curtains for privacy and were much more comfortable. It seemed ironic to focus so much on alignment and body care in the yoga and meditation work, only to be sleeping on the most uncomfortable beds ever. If they just changed the beds in the dorms, it would be a practically perfect experience! Despite that, I got way more than expected out of the retreat. I met amazing people, including the teachers and other participants, ate incredible food, and did great yoga. They were beginner-friendly, but there were also more advanced students who seemed to enjoy themselves as well. The retreat even had a pool and steam room, and you could attend all the classes or do your own thing. The energy there was fantastic, and I had a fantastic time.

March 16, 2019 at 12:00 amWhen I arrived, I had to pay the balance of my bill. I didn’t know they added 4% if you pay with a card, so just keep that in mind. The Yoga classes were quite crowded, with the instructor talking a lot. The smell in my bathroom was not pleasant, but I had read about it on trip advisor and just accepted it.
I stayed in a spacious room with a lovely view over the pool. There was a kettle and fridge in the room with free water. They offer free pick up and drop off to the ferry, which is very convenient. The food was amazing, and you can help yourself to tea, coffee, and water anytime in the food area. There is also plenty of free water available, which was nice.
I enjoyed the variety of yoga classes and meditation options, there is something for everyone. Meditation with Ali and Jo was fantastic. The massages with “Apple” Thai massage with oil were amazing. If you want to go out for the day, they can arrange a taxi for a fee to take you to the beach or Thong Sala. There is also a 4-day walking meditation that Wonderland can take you to.

February 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t personally plan this program as I was promised. The yoga classes were for beginners and had a variety of styles. I ended up getting one of the “not so good” rooms and was a little disappointed because it didn’t have a terrace, seating area, or view like it was supposed to. The room would have been okay for a shorter stay. So, if you’re looking to advance in yoga or find a “real” yoga school, this probably isn’t the best place for you. However, if you’re just looking for a resort to eat healthy, dabble in some spirituality, and relax, I would recommend this place. The food was excellent, the rooms were clean, the staff was mostly friendly, and the surroundings and pool area were nice. It would be a great experience for someone with little to no yoga experience. The meditation classes were good, and some of the yoga instructors seemed really experienced.

February 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI found a criticism about the yoga level being too intense. Even though I tried Level 1, I still found it hard on my body due to my issues. There should have been more focus on alternative poses for those with limitations. Some instructors should have asked about any issues or pregnancies in the class. It would have been helpful if someone explained how the retreat works during check-in. Despite these points, my son and I found the facilities, food, instructors, and accommodation to be top-notch during our first yoga retreat. (My son was worried about the food supply!) We enjoyed every moment and our stay went by too quickly, so we plan to come back at the end of the year. I highly recommend Wonderland Yoga Retreat to anyone looking for a complete holistic experience with yoga, philosophy, meditation, and lifestyle choices.

January 28, 2019 at 12:00 amThe hot water in the bathroom wasn’t working well. I started in a dorm room but it was too much for me so I had to move to a private room. The reasons for moving were: too many girls in one small room, poor ventilation, AC not working well, lack of storage space causing me to put my stuff on the floor, high and noisy beds that disturbed my neighbor below every time I needed to go to the bathroom at night.
I also didn’t like the stray dogs on the island, especially the ones that came into the premises. However, I did appreciate the friendliness of everyone and the family-like atmosphere. The place was well designed, clean, and fresh – the owner paid attention to detail, especially for solo travelers.

January 26, 2019 at 12:00 amThe rooms at Wonderland were very clean and spacious, perfect for a 6-person dorm with two toilets. But in my opinion, concrete Western-style houses are not the best choice for a tropical climate because they cause energy consumption to rise above acceptable levels. We had to use the air conditioner every night. Overall, everything was good. I was looking for a more ascetic place, but Wonderland had a more vacation-like ambiance, which was still very enjoyable. This place was more than just a place to stay – the food was incredible but what really made it unforgettable was the people and the social atmosphere. It was truly a life-changing experience. I absolutely adored Warran’s yoga class and the inner dance completely changed my life. The laughter yoga had me cracking up. All the meditation classes helped me find balance and happiness. I feel so energized and excited, and I will definitely be coming back!

January 18, 2019 at 12:00 amWonderland is truly a magical place where you can explore the perfect balance between rational thinking and spirituality. Here, you not only learn various yoga poses, but also discover more about yourself, your mind, and your body. You’ll have the chance to engage in group discussions, gain new perspectives from people all around the world, and enjoy delicious meals with everyone. The food, staff, and yoga teachers are all amazing and create a warm and loving atmosphere that makes you feel truly valued and secure. Whether you’re 20 or older, you can come here and learn so much about yourself. January 17, 2019 at 12:00 amWe found an amazing hideout with awesome and clean facilities – hammocks, sauna, pool, and more – hidden amidst nature. Just remember to bring your own soap and mosquito repellent. The food at this place was beyond excellent – healthy, clean, and absolutely delicious. It really showcased how diverse and delicious vegan food can be across different cultural cuisines. And let’s not forget about the yoga sessions – they were top-notch, suitable for both beginners and intermediate practitioners.

January 5, 2019 at 12:00 amI had to leave this place and I didn’t like it. This experience was truly amazing to me, words just can’t do it justice. Everything and everyone here was just incredible, filled with love and beauty. I left with a heavy heart. The teachers, staff, and healers were all so caring and loving. And don’t even get me started on the yoga classes, the food, the environment, special events, and facilities – they were all absolutely amazing! January 4, 2019 at 12:00 amJust a suggestion: It would be great if the beds in the dorms could have shelves and their own little lamps. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful, there are a variety of yoga classes on different levels with dedicated instructors, lots of tropical greenery, various meditation techniques and philosophical input, space for socializing and pondering in hammocks, steam sauna and pool – it was a dream!

January 2, 2019 at 12:00 amWhile I was there, major flooding caused many people to lose most or all of their personal items. The center also experienced some service disruptions, including the pool being closed the whole time.
It was disappointing that the customers affected by the flooding received no discounts or gestures of goodwill.
Unfortunately, the dorm wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped. The top bunks had no shelving or lights, which made it inconvenient and uncomfortable for longer stays. On the bright side, the food and restaurant area was the heart of wonderland for me. It was a comfortable meeting spot with great food every day and delicious coffee. The variety of yoga and meditation classes was also impressive.

December 23, 2018 at 12:00 amYoga classes can get really busy and may not be the best fit for beginners or those who are less physically able. They don’t offer modifications for injuries or limitations.
In my experience as a yoga teacher, some of the instruction seemed geared towards more advanced students and could be risky for beginners. However, the community vibe is great and the buffet style meals offer a variety of delicious options, including accommodations for food allergies.
Overall, the classes are diverse and well-taught, but may not be ideal for beginners.

December 22, 2018 at 12:00 amThe dormitory is clearly a challenge when you have the top bunk…with no railing and a super narrow ladder. There is a water leak in the bathroom too. But the place is beautiful and the food is delicious.

December 16, 2018 at 12:00 amSome yoga classes are very crowded. They should add a 6am class to alleviate the crowded 8am class. There are many yoga classes, meditation sessions, and specials to choose from. They also offer off-campus activities. The steam room, when working, is great. December 6, 2018 at 12:00 amAt this retreat, so many people packed the classes that I wished they were smaller with fewer people. The beds felt pretty hard, but we realized that was normal in Thailand. However, for the amount we paid, I would have preferred a soft, fluffy mattress. They treated us like VIP’s from check-in to check-out and everyone was incredibly nice. The buffet-style food was always healthy and tasty. Our rooms felt cozy and peaceful, like a fancy treehouse. The yoga room was beautifully positioned by the river, with the soothing sound of water trickling by.

November 18, 2018 at 12:00 amToo many people coming and going. I would prefer to have fixed programs, for example, you can only come on Saturdays, so that you are only with a fixed group in the retreat and can grow together more. I immediately felt the positive, loving energy of the Healing Center from the very first minute. I felt totally comfortable right from the start and was overjoyed. My expectations were completely exceeded. Wonderland is not just a place to do yoga but a place for personal development, relaxation, and plenty of food for thought to take away and share in the Western world.

Switching to vegan food was a big change for a meat-eater like me, but it completely shifted my perspective. The food was amazing – no other way to put it. The flavors and variety blew me away. Friday lunch with hummus, falafel, and couscous was my favorite!
The classes were fantastic, comfortable yet challenging. The atmosphere was laid back, so if you just wanted to relax by the pool, that was totally fine too.

October 28, 2018 at 12:00 am1. I think Wonderland should clearly state that they have a “hands off” approach to facilitation. I only interacted with staff when I checked in and checked out.
2. It was nice to have multiple yoga instructors, but it was hard to connect with them since none of them lived on site. I was surprised by the number of instructors, and I never had the same one twice during my stay. However, it was great that they all had their own specialty classes.
3. In most pictures of Wonderland, yoga is shown in a beautiful indoor space. I chose this retreat because of that indoor space, but when I arrived, it was under renovation with loud construction. Most classes were held outside, which should have been communicated on the website.
4. They mentioned that we were charged high season prices during low season in Thailand. They should make their prices public so guests can make informed decisions. But overall, I loved my time at Wonderland. The facility is beautiful, set in the jungle with mountains and a stream. The facilities are new and well-maintained, making it worth the money. The food was AMAZING – a highlight for many guests. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the steam room was great. Plus, the wifi was reliable for those who need to work. I left feeling relaxed and will definitely recommend it to others!

October 16, 2018 at 12:00 amThe yoga classes cater to both beginners and high level practitioners. The vegan food was delicious and nutritious that I want to get all the recipes. Most of all, I enjoyed the wide variety of spiritual techniques and courses included in the package that you can practice throughout the day! If you choose to stay longer, you’ll have a great time. I loved all the teachers: Jess for Pilates, Mika for Yoga, Aly for meditation & Reiki, and Ella for Reiki. Cheryl’s classes were amazing too ❤️❤️❤️ The kitchen team was funny and nice, the construction team building the new part of the resort, the reception ladies, and the taxi drivers were all lovely. Thank you to the founders for their vision! You’ve made your dreams come true at Wonderland and I love it.

October 16, 2018 at 12:00 amThe location. It was pretty close to the highway, so you could really feel the exhaust fumes. The nearest beach is also quite far away; it’s an adventure to get there on foot. The so-called secret beach turned out to be pretty shallow and littered.
Point number 2. The loud music or constant noise in the restaurant. Maybe it’s what trendy young people need these days. But it didn’t really give off a retreat vibe. Each of the 6 teachers had their own unique style and helped me progress with their tips. I was most impressed by Alon. His physically focused, scientific approach gave yoga the grounding depth it deserved. Plus, the food was incredibly diverse and healthy.

October 10, 2018 at 12:00 amI was disappointed by the massage area. The mattress looked worn and was barely covered with a thin sheet. There was another person right next to me and the two masseurs were having a conversation in Thai, which I thought was rude. They should offer better privacy in that area because getting a massage is a personal thing. The tranquil setting gave me a chance to reflect peacefully. I also liked that I could be around other people without feeling conflicted about it.

September 10, 2018 at 12:00 amI highly recommend Wonderland stay to everyone, whether you’re looking for an intense 7-hour yoga and meditation program or just want to relax by the pool. It caters perfectly to all yoga levels, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. The food is amazing and there’s a buffet with plenty of options, the reception staff, especially the ladies, are super pleasant and helpful. Wonderland exudes love and positive energy, nestled in the local jungle with green trees, a little river, and plenty of hidden spots to meditate. There are hammocks, little shalas, and a nice pool – I STRONGLY RECOMMEND it! What surprised me the most was the guests, not a “hippie” place at all – during my 30-day stay, all the people I met were educated, super nice, and pleasant. The location is a hidden gem a bit out of town, but taxis to the town with shops, amazing night markets, and secret beaches typically cost between $3-4 one way per person – you can share the cost and pay even less. The villas for 2 are beautiful, but there’s nothing wrong with the shared dorm accommodation – clean, comfortable, and always plenty of cold water in the fridge. One thing I loved was being able to refill my bottle with fresh cold water on every corner in Wonderland. They provide everything you need for yoga, such as mats, blocks, belts, and cushions, as well as for meditation. I can 100% recommend Wonderland and I will definitely be going back soon.

September 4, 2018 at 12:00 amI did not have the experience I was hoping for at Wonderland. The staff, atmosphere, and site itself were not what I expected. The reception staff and instructors did not meet my expectations. They seemed to act like they were better than the guests. The instructors seemed to have their own group and were not friendly, even avoiding interacting with guests during meals. The reception staff were not very helpful and sometimes seemed indifferent.
Because of the staff attitudes and the overall atmosphere, the Wonderland experience felt more like a party resort for young adults rather than a peaceful retreat. August 5, 2018 at 12:00 amThe only thing that wasn’t ideal was that breakfast didn’t start until 8, which was the same time as the Yoga classes. The first class ended at 9:30 and the second one started at 10, so if you were lucky and the teacher finished on time (which was rare), you could quickly grab some bites at the breakfast buffet.
Helpful ReviewIf you’re really into yoga classes (and not meditation or finding your inner peace ;-)), this might not be the best place for you. If you’re looking for a workout, you should probably book somewhere else. The vegan food was incredibly delicious and also suitable for Europeans who aren’t accustomed to spicy Thai cuisine 😉
The dorm was good and quite spacious, but be cautious when booking a 4-bed luxury dorm. We booked that initially, but didn’t get it. We ended up in a 6-bed dorm with usually only 4 people in it, but still..
The pool and relaxing areas with hammocks are stunning, and the oil massage I had was fantastic!

July 29, 2018 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved everything about this place! The only thing to note is that breakfast starts at 8am, the same time as the first yoga class. So if you do the 8am yoga, you’ll have to wait until after (9:30am) for breakfast. But don’t worry, there are always bananas available and you can get a takeaway box for food at meal times (I recommend getting fresh fruit for a pre-yoga snack).
Honestly, it’s hard to find something to dislike!
– The food was amazing – plenty of options and so delicious.
– The staff were incredibly kind and caring.
– The other guests were wonderful, I made some lifelong friends.
– There were lots of classes to choose from – yoga, meditation, and even special lectures and therapies. It’s more than just a yoga retreat!
– The atmosphere was so relaxed – no strict schedule, just do what you like.
– The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with great amenities.
– The resort was fantastic – the pool and steam room were amazing, and there were plenty of chill-out spots with the sound of the nearby river.
And let’s not forget the free smoothie or coconut every day, plus unlimited tea and coffee (the coffee was top-notch, made just how you like it – my favorite was cacao and coconut milk coffee!).
The fact that most people wanted to extend their stay says it all. I’ll definitely be back one day!

Even though we’re not usually vegan, the diverse range of flavors has inspired us to stick to a plant-based diet. The retreat offered a wide variety of yoga styles, meditations, workshops, and extra therapies. The reiki session was an incredible journey. We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people from all walks of life. It was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience that we just didn’t want to end!

The people who work and run this place have good intentions, live healthy lifestyles, and are really there to support and guide the guests in their journey. I highly recommend this retreat – everyone I made friends with there ended up extending their stay, and many people were coming back after a month or so. It’s a really special place. And don’t forget about the steam room and the free massage if you book for one week! I could go on and on about all the great things about it.

May 16, 2018 at 12:00 amI had 12 amazing days at the Wonderland Healing Center and came back home feeling energized. The place is so peaceful and clean, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.
The schedule was jam-packed with yoga, meditation, pilates, and special sessions from 8am to 8pm. You really do take home some great experiences and inspiration.
The activities were diverse, the vegan food was fantastic, the staff was warm and helpful – thank you ladies 🙂 – and the teachers and therapists were competent and motivating.
I spontaneously decided to do the detox program and I’m now bursting with energy, feeling like a 10 out of 10 in terms of wellbeing.
I also had a spiritual counseling session with Oxana which was incredibly insightful. She helped me answer long-standing questions, support my intuition, guide me through the detox program, and aided in my healing journey by unraveling old patterns and beliefs. A big thank you to everyone who made my 12 days unforgettable.

April 14, 2018 at 12:00 amI felt really scared in my room at night because of the animal noises, even though there aren’t any dangerous animals. It was pretty terrifying. I’ll probably choose the dorm next time. The private room wasn’t worth the price – the shower didn’t work properly, the water was sometimes cold, and at times there was no water or it was dirty! In my opinion, the non-yoga events were subpar. I’m not vegan, and while the food was great, it wasn’t satisfying for me. There should be more power yoga classes too. On the bright side, there were many types of yoga and meditation to try, the schedule was packed, the food was excellent, the people were friendly, and the setting with hammocks, pool, and nature was lovely. Being located in the middle of nowhere was actually a plus because it forced me to focus on the retreat and not be tempted to go out for drinks. (Of course, you could take a taxi, but it’s not that convenient and there are events happening all the time.)

April 3, 2018 at 12:00 amI can’t book a private villa in advance, but the atmosphere is relaxed and flexible. There are a lot of like-minded single travelers, which is great. There are fewer couples and no children, which is nice. The standard of yoga was very impressive, even with experienced instructors and visiting ones. Catherine, Nancy, and Jess were all proper teachers, not just traveler teachers. The food was of good quality and vegan. The rooms were clean but lacking in little things like bedside lamps and clothes hanging places. Overall, it was great. The only downside is that you can’t choose your room. Upgrades are random and based on availability after you arrive. Despite that, I had a good weekend break from corporate life with yoga and meditation. You can’t have everything you want in life, can you? On a positive note, there were hardly any mosquitoes despite being in the jungle. – Jacq

Helpful ReviewThey offer multiple courses every day that you can attend. The teachers are all well-trained and I enjoyed every class. The facility is still new and the whole project is only about a year and a half old, so everything is still pretty fresh and in good condition (rooms, restaurant, pool, etc.)
But the absolute best part was the food!!! Three times a day there’s a vegan buffet that is incredibly delicious. It was just mind-blowing.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI stayed in the dorm and found the bed to be pretty hard and uncomfortable, but that’s common in Thailand. There was also no storage or room to organize clothes or your bag, so four people in the room had their things splayed out on the floor. Hopefully they had something to change this.
Oh my goodness, the food was spectacular. I’m not vegan, but I wanted to try everything in the buffet every meal. The steam sauna was the best way to start and end my day. February 28, 2018 at 12:00 amIn the shared dorm, we could have used a small shelf or box by each bed for valuables. I always keep water by me on the top bunk since I need to drink during the night. There weren’t enough hooks in the room or the bathroom. However, they cleaned the room daily and it was very comfortable overall.
I absolutely adored the positive and supportive atmosphere of Wonderland. It was a great place to heal and grow spiritually and emotionally. And don’t even get me started on the food! Being a vegan, I was in heaven with the delicious options every day. It felt like the food was nourishing not just my body, but my soul as well. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. February 27, 2018 at 12:00 amI have no complaints, but one suggestion would be to add shelves to the top bunks in the dorms for convenience. Each top bunk could use a shelf for holding books, phones, and water at night to prevent things from falling.
I’m excited to come back soon, thank you all! Wonderland truly lives up to its name. I felt at home and welcomed as soon as I arrived. The yoga shalas are fully equipped, the restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated. The food is outstanding – it smells and tastes amazing. I really want to get my hands on some of those recipes! The pool is always clean and just the right temperature. The steam room is incredible, with daily changes in the herbal oils providing a unique experience each time. The massages and treatments are a great addition to the yoga classes, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and ready for more.
The variety of yoga classes offered cater to different styles and levels, although I would have appreciated more advanced classes for advanced postural alignment. Nevertheless, the classes I attended helped me improve my practice. The vinyasa and yin classes were particularly enjoyable. All the instructors are attentive and have their own teaching styles. A special shoutout to Ewa and Connie – they really enhanced my understanding of yoga and my asana practice.

January 18, 2018 at 12:00 amWonderland truly is a magical place that takes you on an emotional, physical, and spiritual rollercoaster ride. My partner and I had never tried yoga before the retreat, but within days we were completely hooked. The staff and teachers were amazing, and within a week, we noticed improvements in our posture, strength, and flexibility. The variety and quality of the classes were top-notch, especially the Hatha and Alignment classes, which we loved and have continued practicing since leaving the retreat.
Now, let’s talk about the food… wow! We’re not vegan or vegetarian, but the food was just incredible. The daily changing variety of cuisines, along with fresh salads, fruits, and shakes, were so healthy and delicious. It was so good that it inspired us to cut down on our meat and dairy consumption.
And then there are the extras… Reiki, which was new to us, was an incredible and personal experience thanks to the wonderful Melody. We also indulged in Thai and oil massages that were absolutely divine.
Lastly, the accommodation and facilities were fantastic. After months of traveling and staying in hostels, our 4-bed dorm felt like luxury. The beds were comfy, the room was cleaned daily, and it was a perfect size for four people. The facilities like the pool were also great and never overcrowded.
I know this is a long review, but Wonderland truly deserves it. It was a life-changing experience for us, and we can’t wait to return.

December 25, 2017 at 12:00 amI only stayed there for 4 days… I wish I had stayed longer to experience all the activities. I loved everything – the staff, the food, the facilities, the lush surroundings! Plus, I got an energy healing treatment that went above and beyond my expectations.

December 23, 2017 at 12:00 amI believed that adding small storage under the bed could enhance the dorm facilities. I also wished for more options of detox juices. The community in Wonderland was fantastic – everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful.
I signed up for a 10-day detox program tailored to meet my specific requirements. The supportive detox team readily addressed any concerns I had about the program. The daily detox meetings provided valuable emotional support, making me feel like I wasn’t going through the process alone.
The variety of classes offered, including different types of yoga, breathing exercises, dancing, shamanic journeying, and engaging lectures, was impressive. The included massages and treatments helped me delve deeper into my healing journey.
I had some wonderful experiences with Melody. My top picks for classes were yoga with Alan and meditations with Ali. Alan was an exceptional teacher, while Ali was warm, open, and shared her personal experiences, adding authenticity to her teachings.
Although I only tried food for two days, it was always fresh and delicious. Sharing accommodation to save on costs was a good experience – I met fantastic people, felt safe, and the bathrooms were kept clean.
Overall, I absolutely adore Wonderland ❤️.

December 18, 2017 at 12:00 amHonestly, there’s something for everyone with yoga classes at all difficulty levels, taught by great instructors at various times throughout the day. The food here is always fresh, delicious, and diverse, with shakes and fresh coconut juice available daily. The facilities are clean and fully functional, with good wifi and even a sauna. And the location is so peaceful and quiet, away from the somewhat chaotic villages nearby. Plus, the staff goes above and beyond to help with any request, no matter how strange. The atmosphere is just amazing, with like-minded, open people creating a fantastic vibe that’s perfect for disconnecting from the outside world and immersing yourself in a safe and kind environment.

December 12, 2017 at 12:00 amThe internet connection was worse than I expected – it was unstable and caused some difficulties. The atmosphere is really nice, and the instructors are all very different, making this place special and unique. The practice facilities are perfect, the food is amazing, and the staff are so kind and helpful. There’s no strict ideology – just a focus on being healthy and relaxed, with your time entirely up to you. I had a great time and would love to come back – you’ve created a real wonderland! Thank you!

December 4, 2017 at 12:00 amI wish I had tried more styles of yoga. You should think about switching to metal or bamboo straws instead of plastic ones. The vegan buffet really impressed me. And I loved that they gave us complimentary juice every day.

December 4, 2017 at 12:00 amThe bed might have been a little hard, but since the premises are near new, you can expect the best! I got so used to the bed that now I can’t sleep in my own. I am definitely going back next year. The classes were fantastic with instructors who have years of experience and are friendly, caring, and professional. I would rate it a 10/10 – this was my first yoga retreat and it was absolutely fabulous!

November 22, 2017 at 12:00 amEverything was great The diverse range of movement options with the many yoga styles, the program arrangement. Both yoga beginners and advanced practitioners can enjoy the variety of offerings. You can participate in all 5 daily events for free. The friendly staff is worth mentioning The vegan and raw buffet 3 times a day and the whole ambiance there with the new dining room is especially beautiful. The 20 owners operate Wonderland as a vision to simply make people happy.
Helpful ReviewI was able to join the detox program during my stay.
When booking, massages are automatically included and you can choose which ones you’d like.
It’s about 5 km away from the beach. You can rent bikes and scooters there or order taxi drivers to go on excursions with. For about 3 hours, you pay around €20.
The advantage of being outside is the idyllic tranquility of the jungle. The sounds of the animals at night are amazing. Also, sleeping is very peaceful, as there are no cars to disturb you at night.
You should be able to understand English well, otherwise there might be communication issues

November 18, 2017 at 12:00 amI had a really good experience at wonderland. I enjoyed my time there. The community team was so kind and helpful, they really made me feel like family. The classes and workshops were really good, and I discovered new and interesting yoga styles. The healers here are doing a great job. PS: Alice had to fall before she arrived in Wonderland. At first, I thought something was missing in terms of spirit here. But once I found out how fresh the whole project is, I could dive into it much better.
I will miss the yoga classes, meditation, sauna, the incredibly delicious vegan buffet three times a day, the nice people and roommates, and this beautiful idyllic place.
A big thank you to Alland for bringing me closer to myself through his Reiki treatment. I will not lose that and I am very grateful to you for it. Thank you for your good energy and kind words! Sending you a hug!
I wish the project and all the people there nothing but the best, keep up the good work.

November 9, 2017 at 12:00 amThe only downside was the room lacking drawers or enough hangers, making unpacking a challenge. My retreat at wonderland exceeded my expectations. I had planned to stay for three nights, but ended up extending my stay for two more nights. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, warm, and relaxed. You can come and go as you please and it’s easy to make new friends as many people travel solo. The staff is extremely helpful and socialize in the same area as the guests, giving it a small family feel.
The highlight of my stay was the food – all vegan, fresh, and with plenty of variety to suit everyone’s tastes. The yoga classes cater to beginners, so you don’t need to be an expert.
I highly recommend treating yourself to this experience. For the price you pay, you get so much in return – delicious food, fresh juices, massages, pool, sauna, yoga, meditation, and more. Don’t miss out!

November 2, 2017 at 12:00 amI really liked the vibe and facilities of the place even though it’s far away from the beach. Just so you know, I was aware of that. The variety of yoga classes they offer daily is super impressive. The daily meditation sessions and healing procedures are absolutely fabulous. I even got to try kundalini yoga, TRE, and embryonic yoga on top of the more traditional yoga schools. And let me tell you, the food there is fantastic even though I’m not even a vegetarian. It was in this place that I managed to quit smoking and really get myself together.

September 15, 2017 at 12:00 amThe Wonderland healing center is one of the most rejuvenating places I’ve ever visited. I attended a 12-day detox retreat in September and was truly impressed. What I loved most were the dedicated healers and yoga teachers. The detox program was well-planned, making me feel comfortable right from the start. There’s a great variety of yoga classes to choose from, ranging from Ashtanga to Yin Yoga, offered three times a day. The healers at this center are true experts in their field, without all the hyper-spiritual stuff you might expect. The environment at the center is stunning, especially the private Pool Villa I stayed in with an infinity pool just steps from my bedroom. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Wonderland!

August 7, 2017 at 12:00 amI had the luck to spend 14 wonderful days at Wonderland and I took the Yoga Retreat package. The resort, which is just 6 months old, is even more beautiful in person than in the promotion video and pictures. I stayed in a private room with a view of the pool, complete with a nice hammock on my balcony. All the staff members, especially Ham and Aly, are fantastic. The Vegan food is delicious and diverse, even for someone like me who isn’t Vegan or Vegetarian. I never felt the need to eat outside.
There is a wide variety of Yoga and meditation classes, all taught by great teachers. I came to improve my own yoga practice and learned so much from all of them. The small Thai lady who massaged me every other day really worked me over and managed to bend me in ways I never thought possible, but she was amazing! Thank you, Wonderland, for the amazing Yoga Retreat. I hope to come back again and bring my family along. Namasté, Alice in Wonderland.

August 3, 2017 at 12:00 amThe resort is a bit far from the pier and beaches, and the steam room needs more lighting since it gets scary at night. However, it truly is a wonderland – serene and beautiful. I met some amazing people there, made friends from all over the world, and explored the island with them. You should definitely try Victoria and Nancy’s Yoga classes. The rooms are clean and nice, and the pool and restaurant are beautiful and cozy. The instructors and staff are kind and supportive, taking care of all your needs. The food is the best vegan food I have ever had – even though I was on a detox for 4 days, I couldn’t resist trying it on my last day. The massages are top-notch and I thoroughly enjoyed them. If you can, get a reiki treatment with Eyal – he is one of the most calm and spiritual people I’ve ever met. Wonderland truly changed me – I fell in love with my body and skin after the detox, and learned the power of inner peace. I was sad to leave, but this place brought me a unique sense of happiness and peace. I am definitely going back.

July 31, 2017 at 12:00 amThe only possible downside wasn’t related to the retreat at all, it was just that the beach and shops were a bit of a distance. However, making friends was easy and it was great when those friends had scooters to take you around. Taxis were also easy to get, and the guys at the retreat would give you a ride if they were free.
Everything was fantastic – the retreat exceeded my expectations. There were plenty of yoga classes to choose from, the room was clean and lovely, and the vegan food was surprisingly good. I was worried about not having meat, but I ended up loving every meal.
What I liked the most was the people. There were a lot of solo travelers there, so it was easy to strike up a conversation and hang out. I also enjoyed getting to know the Israeli family who managed the retreat. You guys are amazing! Can’t wait to visit again.

July 26, 2017 at 12:00 amWonderland amazed me. I planned for a 3-night stay but ended up extending. The food blew me away – some of the best vegan dishes I’ve ever had. The resort hides away from the island’s hustle and bustle, creating a peaceful atmosphere. You can easily access beautiful beaches and stunning waterfall trails nearby. They offer various yoga/meditation programs and treatments daily, led by fantastic teachers. The staff warmly welcomed me and assisted with anything I needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool provided a great alternative to the beach. This place is perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation – I will definitely return.

May 31, 2017 at 12:00 amI wish I had rented a bike and explored more of the island, especially the beaches, and participated in the events. However, Hiem kindly took me to run some errands when needed and community members gave me lifts to events. My week at Wonderland was truly special. The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxed. Even though I was by myself, I never felt alone thanks to the kindness of the staff and community. I had a dorm room all to myself most of the time since it was low season, which made it a great deal. The yoga classes were challenging and helped me improve my fitness and technique. The included treatments were luxurious and added to the experience. I loved relaxing by the pool and reading in the air-conditioned room. The highlight for me was the amazing food and free juice every day. It was the perfect break during my 5 months of backpacking. Wonderland exceeded all my expectations.
