I had to share my thoughts on the last review, as I completely disagree with it. I absolutely love this place and find myself coming here almost every day. It has a Tulum vibe, with a beautiful green oasis in the midst of a busy street. It’s much quieter compared to other places on the street since there aren’t as many bikes passing by.

The staff is fantastic, always making me laugh and providing excellent service. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and their healthy desserts are simply irresistible. I highly recommend visiting this place and trying it out for yourself. I can’t understand any negative comments about it.

I had a great time at a Yin Yoga class taught by a local Indonesian instructor (this is so important!) and grabbed a quick vegan and gluten-free dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was a bit pricier than other vegan options in the area.

They frequently host events and workshops, and the instructor remembered past attendees, creating a wonderful sense of community.

The open-air studio had natural wood floors and a tarped gazebo ceiling. It was clean enough, considering the setting, as were the props. While not luxurious, the experience was enjoyable, and I would definitely return for another yoga class.

This yoga studio in Canggu and Ubud is truly exceptional. The simple and cozy setup exudes authenticity. The skilled trainers offer functional classes like Vinyasa and Yin that prioritize efficiency, technique, and body focus over meditation and mindfulness. This focus on improving asanas sets this studio apart. With fantastic classes led by Nikki and Sasya, there’s no need to try other studios. The lovely cafe, cozy accommodation, and in-house spa services make it an ideal retreat. Plus, the location near plenty of good restaurants is a bonus. Highly recommend checking out this studio.

My friends and I went out for breakfast but were disappointed by the food. The staff was nice, but the smoothie bowl was frozen and flavorless, my pancakes were dry even with the toppings, and the Naga bomb was too bitter to finish. We won’t be returning. Instead, try Healthy Ubud across the street, which we tried two days ago and found to be much tastier and better quality.

I finally experienced my first aerial yoga class at Samadi, and I was absolutely thrilled with it!

Ever since I arrived in Bali, I had been eager to attend a class at Samadi, and it definitely lived up to my expectations.

Before the class, I connected with Adnya, the instructor, on Instagram, and she was so welcoming and friendly that I felt like I already knew her when I arrived. Adnya was incredibly supportive during the class, offering guidance and alternative options for difficult postures.

The class was not the typical relaxing yoga session – it was more of a high-energy workout that left us sweating and laughing throughout. I even made a new friend as we hung upside down like bats.

Just take a look at the joy on my face in these photos to see how much fun I had!

If you find yourself in Canggu, make sure to schedule an aerial yoga class at Samadi for an unforgettable experience.

The yoga studio is quaint and not overly fancy, perhaps to maintain its traditional charm. It’s home to a roster, cat, and goose who roam about, creating a cozy atmosphere complemented by the gentle breeze.

Despite its size, the studio offers a variety of classes catering to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

In addition to yoga classes, the facility also provides basic amenities such as a toilet and a gazebo, as well as yoga mats for use during practice.

I typically opt for a coconut drink, though occasionally I’ll indulge in a cup of coffee while relaxing in this serene setting.

I was quite taken aback by the 75-minute Power Flow class I took with Vivienne. As a yoga teacher myself, I observed a few things that left me feeling disappointed:

    1) Several people left during the class, which suggests that Vivienne may not have been reading the room and adjusting her teaching style accordingly. It was clear that many of the attendees were tourists, and there were two sisters who kept chatting and causing distractions despite Vivienne’s repeated reminders to remain quiet.

    2) While some of Vivienne’s instructions were clear, she spent a lot of time mumbling about her own views on yoga and seemed to have a condescending attitude towards those who chose to rest during the class, referring to them as “chickening out.”

    3) It would have been more respectful to stick to the advertised 75-minute class time instead of extending it to 90 minutes without prior notice. Many attendees had other plans for the day and leaving early felt rude.

    4) While I understand that the class was meant to be intense with no breaks, I couldn’t help but notice a lack of compassion and mindfulness in Vivienne’s teaching style. The language we use as yoga teachers is crucial, and it can have a significant impact on how yoga is perceived by students.

My assessment focuses solely on my yoga practice, rather than the accommodation or dining options. I have frequented this facility multiple times within the past few years, with my most recent visit revealing a noticeable decrease in class attendance compared to June. Samadi boasts a diverse selection of classes led by knowledgeable instructors, catering to varying skill levels from gentle to intense power vinyasa sessions. Vivienne, in particular, exudes a strong passion for strength and alignment, leaving a lasting impression on participants. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed all classes with the various teachers at Samadi.

The presentation of the food is appetizing, however, the flavor falls short with minimal seasoning.
Prices are in line with other nearby establishments, slightly higher by about 15%.
Service is lacking as the waitress appears uninterested and requires prompting to provide menus and take orders.
