February 20, 2024 at 12:00 amThe rooms at the resort were great, but the neighbours could be noisy since the sound travels in this beautiful location. The vibe was very social, the food was outstanding, and there was a good variety of classes – something for everyone. We really enjoyed the steam room and cold plunge. We also hired a scooter from the resort and explored the island. Checkin and checkout were seamless, as well as pickup and drop off to the ferry terminal. There were lots of different nationalities, singles, couples, and groups staying at the resort. Everything was kept clean and lots of water was sent to the rooms.

January 29, 2024 at 12:00 amJ’ai passé une semaine incroyable!

December 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe classes were all full, which was not enjoyable. The crowded conditions meant you were constantly bumping into the people around you. Feeling overwhelmed, I decided to skip some classes and take time for myself to relax and have a more positive experience. Some of the teachers were not great, like Nadja. She gave off a negative vibe, never said hi, and got defensive when asked questions. She kept talking about another retreat that she said was better and encouraged everyone to go there instead. It was weird because we were all there for the same reason. Plus, she spent a lot of time outside smoking, which didn’t make a good impression on me. Despite the issues, I did like the location and the food. The facility was nice overall, except for the constant smell of manure that made it hard to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

November 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe location feels like the edge of the world – it’s truly amazing. However, it can be challenging at times because the nearest village is quite far away and you’ll need to take a taxi (unless you can drive a scooter). And as is the case with all Thai islands, taxis tend to be quite expensive.
When booking, I suggest opting for a private accommodation. The dorms are usually full with 5-6 people crammed into a small space, and the main center is always bustling. If you’re looking for some privacy, a private room is definitely the way to go. This might just be one of the best retreats you’ll ever experience!
Wonderland is nestled in the heart of a lush forest, offering top-notch facilities that are always clean and extremely comfortable. This includes an amazing pool, sauna, and spa. The food is a true highlight – think the most delicious vegan meals you can imagine.
The instructors are highly professional, providing a variety of yoga and meditation styles for all levels. The place truly lives up to its name – it’s a Wonderland and a healing sanctuary for those in search of peace, connection, and balance.

November 4, 2023 at 12:00 amWe absolutely loved Wonderland! We fell in love with the place itself and the classes were a dream. There were plenty of choices every day and we got to try out new yoga styles. The classes were open for all levels. They also offer a lot of other classes that we really enjoyed, like Women’s Circle and Tibetan Singing Bowl Healing.
The vegan buffet is amazing and changes daily. It never let us down. The staff is so friendly and kind.
It really is a wonderful place! We had such a lovely time that we ended up staying longer than we had planned.

October 23, 2023 at 12:00 amIf you stay longer than a week at Wonderland, some workshops might repeat slightly. It would be awesome if they made tiny changes to the schedule or added something slightly different. You can also do some of the things you really liked again, or just relax and skip a few. Originally, I booked 7 days at Wonderland but ended up staying 4 more days. It’s a magical place where you can attend up to 6 workshops a day, enjoy the pool and sauna, and meet some amazing people. The instructors are all fantastic, with some even being truly inspiring. I booked a private room, which was great – they clean it daily and make sure you have enough water each day. The food is incredible and really tasty – I had some of the best falafel here! I wish I could’ve extended my stay even longer, but I will definitely be coming back.

September 8, 2023 at 12:00 amThe resort filled up quickly during my stay. The yoga classes became packed, making it hard to move without bumping into someone. We even ran out of mats and pillows a few times. People keep coming back to this place for a reason!
I’m new to yoga, but I never felt lost thanks to the teachers offering different pose variations for everyone. My week was amazing. I learned a lot about yoga and myself.
I enjoyed the variety of classes offered throughout the day. I stayed in a clean dorm, and the food was delicious. Every dinner was a pleasant surprise.
There were plenty of communal areas to socialize or relax alone. I also appreciated the water refill stations – no need for plastic bottles here!

August 23, 2023 at 12:00 amThe meal times are from 9 am to 1 pm for breakfast and lunch, and dinner is from 6 to 8 pm. As a suggestion, I would extend the hours by one more hour in both cases. I would also add an extra class between 12 and 3 pm, as there was usually nothing scheduled during that time. There is a wide variety of classes available, from aromatherapy, sound healing, Vipassana meditation, loving-kindness meditation, to Hatha yoga. The food was delicious. The decor is beautiful and every detail is well thought out. The teachers are very professional. They clean the rooms every day.

August 16, 2023 at 12:00 amIt’s super busy and crowded here. It feels more like a resort with classes rather than a relaxing retreat. The vibe is clicky and not very welcoming like most retreats. Your yoga won’t get better here because the teachers don’t really give feedback or guidance, but the classes are still fun. The teachers and western staff could definitely be friendlier and warmer! The food is amazing, there are plenty of classes every day, and the place itself is absolutely stunning!

July 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI had an issue with the general quality of the yoga classes. Out of the 14 classes I took, only 3 were taught by top notch instructors. Most instructors would bring people into a pose but not provide guidance on how to properly be in the pose. There were few anatomical cues and almost no focus on breath work, which made it difficult to stay present. I wish the instructors paid more attention to the students, as they would demo the pose and hold it the entire time themselves. As a certified yoga instructor, I felt the classes lacked engagement and energy. The only time I received an assist the whole week was when a teacher touched students without asking for permission. Some reviews referred to the classes as beginner style, but beginner classes actually require more cues than intermediate ones to ensure the pose is being maintained accurately. I believe Wonderland should have a higher standard for the quality of classes offered, with instructors like Amber or Raj teaching more often. Ewa’s Reiki session was fantastic and worth every penny, and the food was great. Raj’s Kundalini and Amber’s Flow classes were impeccable, while I enjoyed David’s Hatha stretch and Nadja’s meditation. All the specials were a must-do, and I left the retreat with a great spiritual experience. The staff was awesome, and the sauna was fantastic. Overall, I really enjoyed the retreat and would definitely do it again, especially for the meditations and specials. I definitely miss the pool!

July 19, 2023 at 12:00 amYou couldn’t really go anywhere on foot. Sure, you could, but it would’ve been a bit of stretch. I wish the retreat would offer a shuttle to the town and back at least once a day if people need to do some shopping or such.
I loved the massage, but it was a little pricey. I really enjoyed all the different options for yoga and meditation lessons.
The food was heavenly. Thank you for the variety.

June 18, 2023 at 12:00 amOne instructor taught the healing class really well, but I believe she is better suited as a mindfulness coach rather than a yoga/pilates instructor. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the lack of harmony in the class and the pilates flow sequence was far from what it should have been. For example, we started with pilates 100s before anything else, and breath wasn’t even mentioned once.
On top of that, my dorm mate and I got food poisoning from dinner, which was a major letdown. It seemed like only the two of us were affected though. The place itself is lovely and great for relaxation. The staff were all helpful and I met a lot of interesting people.
Interestingly, none of the three instructors I wanted to review are actually on the list. Two of them taught a nice class that was well-structured and challenging. However, I have to point out that it felt more like Yoga for beginners.

June 6, 2023 at 12:00 amI observed that most of the people attending were very young and I didn’t find it particularly friendly, which is unusual in a yoga retreat.
The staff and instructors were fantastic, but I wonder how it would have been if I was an absolute beginner as most classes were at an intermediate and beyond level.
If you’ve never done yoga before, this might not be the place for you. There are lots of classes and activities every day which you can choose to join or not.
The setting is beautiful and the facilities are well looked after. There is a real range of classes available. The room is very nice indeed. Overall, it’s a really special place.

May 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI noticed some things missing in the dorm: there wasn’t a plug and reading light for each bed, and the metal bunk beds were making a lot of noise. So if you moved, you risked waking up the person underneath you. But everything else was perfect. The classes were really good. They give you a schedule with one morning meditation and two morning yoga classes. In the afternoon, there’s one more meditation class and another yoga class. You have the freedom to choose how you want to spend your day. There’s always a break between 11:30 and 15:00 with no classes, so you can relax by the pool, in the hammam, or go for a scooter or bike ride. Food is served from 9-13:00 and 18:00-20:00, there’s nothing in between but you can order a smoothie or head to a nearby restaurant. The vegan food is delicious, the hammam is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. My stay was amazing, and I highly recommend it.

April 13, 2023 at 12:00 amThe meditation sessions take some getting used to if you normally meditate for a max of 25 minutes in your everyday life. They go on for quite a while in the retreat, so it’s always a challenge not to fall asleep. Unfortunately, I was sick for the first two days, but I couldn’t imagine a better place to heal. They took care of me and I was able to move to a private room at short notice. I think I’ve never recovered so quickly before. The food was just delicious and always fresh! The yoga sessions were very enjoyable, I could really let go. But because of my illness, I could only attend 2 classes. There’s definitely a huge variety of yoga classes, so there’s something for everyone! The place overall is just magical. So many amazing people come together there, and you feel comfortable right from the first moment!

April 4, 2023 at 12:00 amI didn’t like that the resort wasn’t by the beach and that it cost $150-200 per person to go to the beach by taxi (even though they do offer free beach trips once a week or so). But that’s pretty much it! I had a great time there!
The atmosphere at the resort was healing, relaxed, and loving. It was so easy to de-stress there! Everyone was extremely friendly – from the reception staff to the restaurant workers, cleaners, masseuses, teachers, and other guests. I met some amazing people during my stay and even stayed in touch with them afterwards.
I stayed in a dorm for 4 people and everyone was really respectful. The rooms and common areas were spotless and the food was delicious! I loved the variety of workshops, yoga, and meditation classes. There were also options to go to the beach or join guided hikes to waterfalls. But what really makes it a Wonderland is the togetherness atmosphere. At the buffet restaurant, long tables bring together like-minded people from all around the world. Conversations become deep and you quickly develop a sense of belonging. When I left, I had some great new connections and was trying to figure out how to bring the benefits of Wonderland into my daily life at home.

September 27, 2022 at 12:00 amI spent 7 nights in the dorm room at Wonderland. It’s not the best dorm I’ve ever stayed in, but you’re really only there to sleep anyway. During the day, there are plenty of classes to choose from like different kinds of yoga and meditation styles, lectures, and activities such as a hike to a waterfall or a sunset tour. The best part is, you can decide what you want to join or not. If you feel like relaxing, you can hang out at the pool, use the sauna, or get a massage.
The food is incredible! I’m usually a vegetarian, and they offer a vegan buffet. It was like heaven for me 😉 Everything was absolutely delicious.
I’ve heard people say they’ll come back every year now. And I completely agree with them.

September 14, 2022 at 12:00 amNothing Wonderland stands out as an amazing little oasis in the jungle of Ko Pha Ngan. The staff cleans and services the rooms daily, providing shampoo and bath gel for guests. The vegan buffet is top-notch, offering a variety of international dishes to try. The laundry service is both economical and reliable. Throughout the day, guests can join different types of meditations and yoga classes, as well as attend talks, movies, and fire nights. The amenities include a sauna, cold plunge pool, swimming pool, and lounging areas. Guests can also enjoy complementary trips to hike in the jungle and visit the beach. Various holistic treatment modalities are available, including the must-try Thai Massage. Without a doubt, this place is a wonderland worth visiting.

August 20, 2022 at 12:00 amThe evening programs at Wonderland had an eclectic but somewhat haphazard feel. They posted schedules that were easy to follow, but some topics were vague. They brought in visiting instructors who would either introduce themselves and share their experiences or just jump right into it without much formality. I was hesitant to join in without more information, since I wanted to avoid any awkward situations of leaving early or sitting through something that didn’t interest me.
Wonderland was a great place for healing, relaxation, and meeting like-minded people. Some days had structured classes, while others were perfect for enjoying meals, hanging out by the pool, getting a massage, or just chilling in the different areas around the resort. I met a few people who had come back to Wonderland after having a great experience, and personally, I stayed on the resort for my whole trip because I was so content with the food and social vibes there. The food was amazing in terms of variety and freshness, and it was a cool opportunity to try out a new way of eating that I’ve since brought back home with me.

July 1, 2022 at 12:00 amI loved everything! It was all amazing! I don’t even know where to start! That whole experience blew me away. I had planned to stay for 3 nights, but ended up extending it to 6 nights. The food was unbelievably good, the place had so many chill areas, the pool was awesome, and the dorm rooms and bathrooms were really nice. Since I was traveling alone, I was eager to meet people and it was super easy to strike up conversations with everyone. Everyone, including the staff, was so nice. The yoga and meditation teachers were fantastic and the schedule was just right. You didn’t have to attend every class, which was nice, and they also organized fun outings like a hike to a waterfall, flower crown making, or watching the sunset at the beach. I especially loved the evening talks. So, for anyone considering a yoga retreat, definitely check out Wonderland! It’s amazing and you won’t want to leave, trust me!

June 8, 2022 at 12:00 amThis secluded little paradise on Koh Phangan is absolutely beautiful. The retreat has a great vibe that I really enjoyed. I met a lot of like-minded young women who are into yoga and having deep conversations over coffee.
The vegan buffets here are amazing. I haven’t felt this good in my body in years.
I stayed in the dorms, which made my experience super affordable. They are pretty basic, but that’s what you’d expect from a dorm. If you’re looking for more luxury, go for a private room.

May 23, 2022 at 12:00 amI have a few suggestions: Let’s add more side activities. We should definitely work on improving the quality of some classes. If you come late to lunch/dinner, they often run out of the main dish. It can be tough to find space in the yoga room when it’s crowded. Overall, it was a great experience!

May 6, 2022 at 12:00 amI would suggest the team provide more details about activities like hikes and sunset tours so people know what to expect. I tried both and they were amazing, but different from what you might think based on the names. It’s truly a magical place. In the 4 days I spent there, I relaxed and restored more than I would at a typical beach resort.
The schedule is packed with activities, so everyone can find something they enjoy. Despite being stuck there for days due to heavy rain, there was so much to do that it didn’t feel like torture – it was actually a positive experience.
The food was great, even for a non-vegan like me. The vegan options were delicious and easy to enjoy.
Overall, the retreat was a peaceful and serene experience.

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, the experience was let down by the welcome. We didn’t receive any information about how things worked, no welcome drink, and no promised yoga consultation. Just a quick chat about the classes and injuries would have made a big difference. The daily smoothie was listed in the booking, but we had to ask for it each day which felt awkward.
Aly and Lauren were fantastic instructors who gave a warm welcome and were actively engaged in adapting postures and giving feedback. However, other teachers were unfriendly and the atmosphere felt cold and full of ego.
There wasn’t enough room in some classes and the site should never be overbooked. The cancellation of a hike due to weather wasn’t communicated well.
On the upside, the site was attractive and well-maintained and the food was really great.

April 8, 2022 at 12:00 amWonderland is a great place to be if you want to feel safe and meet people who are like you. However, it can feel like it’s just a little bubble full of Westerners and there aren’t many Thai food options around. The center isn’t up in the mountains like I expected, it’s actually on flat ground and about a 20-minute ride from the coast. It’s definitely helpful to have a scooter if you want to explore the area.
Wonderland has a packed schedule of classes and special events that will keep you busy and introduce you to different meditation and yoga practices. The yoga teachers are top-notch and the food is delicious. They also offer a variety of treatments, but they can be a bit pricey.

April 5, 2022 at 12:00 amMy experience at Wonderland was overall amazing, but the only downside was getting COVID. My Day 1 roommate was positive the whole time but was told to keep going to classes and act normal, even though she was coughing and had a fever. It wasn’t surprising that I got COVID five days later after spending all night in the same room with her without a mask. I isolated myself for five days to protect others, as it’s the right thing to do in my culture. Next time, I’ll definitely book a private room to avoid situations like this.
Despite the COVID scare, my time at Wonderland was truly transformative. I went there for yoga, meditation, and other sessions to help me refocus after personal challenges. I had little experience with yoga and meditation before, but I tried everything they offered and loved almost all of it. I learned so much in just three weeks, especially during the meditation sessions which gave me new insights to take home with me.
I also made many new friends at Wonderland, including the instructors and staff who were all very welcoming and accommodating. I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but I definitely plan on bringing my daughter next time. There were other kids there and a great pool for her to enjoy, so I know she’ll love it as much as I did.

January 8, 2022 at 12:00 amMy boyfriend and I visited Wonderland in Koh Phangan for the first time and we can’t stop talking about our amazing experience. The yoga classes here last for an hour and a half and are suitable for all levels. I was surprised by how much I improved in just one week, despite having practiced yoga for years.
There are various yoga teachers and styles available, so if one doesn’t work for you, there are plenty of other options to choose from. With multiple yoga and meditation classes offered daily, this place truly went above and beyond our expectations. Even though my boyfriend only joined me because of my love for yoga, he ended up mastering handstands by the end of our stay.
The vegan buffet served for brunch and dinner was not only delicious but also nutritious, providing a welcome break from the usual Thai cuisine. Staying in the dorms and sharing meals with others allowed us to make lasting friendships with whom we spent the remainder of our time in Koh Phangan. I can’t praise this place enough for the incredible experience it provided.

August 5, 2020 at 12:00 amI thought they should offer more yoga classes because some days there was only one. Also, the white rabbit room is too small for the number of people using it. If you don’t have a bike, it could be hard to explore the island – you might end up just chilling at the retreat (which isn’t a bad thing!). The cleaning staff wasn’t very friendly and didn’t clean regularly – there were ants in some of the rooms! Despite that, I had a great overall experience. The food was clean, healthy, and diverse. Every meal left me feeling healthier and refreshed. I especially enjoyed the flow, hatha, and yin classes. March 16, 2020 at 12:00 amWonderland offers a relaxing and nice place to stay for single travelers and groups. The schedule here varies and provides options based on your interests. The meditation and yoga are of high quality, and the food is incredibly fresh and tasty. This place is ideal for those who prefer to do more than just lounge on sunbeds all day, although that is also an option at Wonderland. The retreat here is not a holistic experience, making it a good choice for beginners in meditation and yoga retreats. The schedule is easy to adjust to, with morning classes starting at 8 am instead of the earlier start times found at other retreats. The staff is friendly, and it’s convenient to explore different parts of Koh Phangan from Wonderland. The rooms are clean and of good quality (3-star) with air conditioning.

March 6, 2020 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, the only significant downside was the helpfulness, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff. Both the reception and restaurant staff seemed very unmotivated, answering inquiries with annoyance and unfriendliness. The restaurant staff even ate behind the counter during meal times, braided hair, and cleaned the kitchen with their feet on the counter. Despite this, the hotel is beautiful with a great pool, large rooms with a veranda, delicious and diverse food options, a wide range of classes, and well-coordinated schedules. March 3, 2020 at 12:00 amThe 6-person dorms are okay but not luxurious. The beds wobble and squeak; there is only one big room light, so you easily disturb each other; there are no closets, so clothes always end up on the floor in your backpack; bed curtains would be nice for some privacy, a shelf by the bed to put things on would also be useful. In the first week, I almost didn’t mind all this because everything else was great, but unfortunately in my second week, Wonderland became very crowded… we squeezed over 40 people into the Shala, which definitely wasn’t fun anymore. If you were late, you couldn’t participate. The family-like relaxed atmosphere was lost at meal times. Waiting in line, not getting any food, drinks running out late at night, and no more towels… It’s a shame, the first week was really dreamy… the peaceful jungle location, beautifully landscaped, diverse weekly program for trying new things, casual and friendly atmosphere, very mixed crowd, the steam sauna, everything was well-maintained and clean, and the buffet was really great.

January 15, 2020 at 12:00 amI wasn’t really into dancing, so the evening options didn’t catch my interest. I would have preferred an evening Yin Yoga class or more meditation at 8pm instead of something high-energy, but it seemed like others enjoyed it. I can’t praise this retreat enough – I was skeptical at first. I’ve been practicing yoga for years, but never been on a retreat before. The timing and location worked out after a work trip, and I’m so glad I took a chance on this place. From the moment I arrived (they even brought me a welcome drink while I checked in), I felt right at home. Meeting people from all over the world at meals was a great experience, and I also enjoyed relaxing in a hammock with a book or writing in my journal by the pool in between classes and activities. Not every yoga style or teacher was my favorite, but it was fun to try new things like Aerial Yoga (which was my favorite) and Laughter Yoga (weird, but worth a shot). The location was perfect – secluded yet close to amazing hiking trails and beautiful mountain views. The dorm rooms were cozy and the beds surprisingly comfy. I highly recommend trying a Thai massage – I wish I had done it every day. I cherished every moment and it was so fitting that it started pouring rain the minute I left.

December 12, 2019 at 12:00 amThere aren’t many yoga classes and the difficulty level isn’t too high if you’re not a beginner. They need to plan more activities outside the center, like hiking. The food is great and the people are so friendly, it feels like you’ve known them forever, even if it’s your first time meeting them.

December 10, 2019 at 12:00 amI can’t stop thinking about how amazing the food was at Wonderland- it’s ruined me for anywhere else. And don’t forget to bring your own hand-soap for the bathroom. I totally overate at the buffet, those pancakes were to die for! This place is so chill, you don’t even have to go to all the classes. You can just relax with a book in a hammock or by the pool. And the people there were so interesting- lots of people going through a big life change. It’s a great place to meet new friends from all over the world.

December 6, 2019 at 12:00 amIt’s a bit inconvenient to go from Ko Samui airport to take a transfer and ferry to your island. But the center has a great atmosphere and really helps you relax.
They really need to update the instructors list. Personally, I loved Selina who taught us Yin Yoga and Charkra Yoga. And the instructor who taught Kundalini yoga on Wednesday, December 4th afternoon was great too.
All the yoga instructors are highly professional and we learned a lot from them. We always feel the benefits after each session. The only downside is that some sessions can get quite crowded.

December 3, 2019 at 12:00 amAt about half 9, they closed down the communal area so the evenings became pretty quiet. If you can’t sleep that early, there’s not a lot to do. I loved my stay at Wonderland. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. It was really easy to chat with people because everyone is in the same mindset and friendly. There were lots of different yoga classes and activities to choose from, and no pressure to attend everything. The food is also amazing. I would definitely come back.

December 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI have only two constructive criticisms. First, I think the yoga equipment needs to be washed and cleaned daily because they all smelled quite bad. Secondly, the mattresses are incredibly hard, so hard that it was painful to sleep on. I believe a mattress topper would be helpful. However, the staff was very accommodating; they brought me multiple blankets to fold up and sleep on.
But overall, I absolutely love everything about this place! The food and yoga were unbelievably great, and the accommodations and amenities were wonderful. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return again. It’s perfect for everyone, from families to solo travelers.

November 23, 2019 at 12:00 amWonderland truly lives up to its name – offering something for every holiday style. If you’re looking to relax and unwind, you’ll find a beautiful pool, sauna, massages, delicious vegan food, coconuts, tranquil surroundings, yin yoga, meditation, and more. I highly recommend planning at least a week there to fully enjoy all that Wonderland has to offer – or you can always extend your stay. It’s hard to leave this paradise.
For those who want to be more active, bicycles and scooters are available to explore the island and visit beautiful beaches. You can cycle around and enjoy nature or go snorkeling by KohMa. I also took some Ashtanga classes outside Wonderland, but if you’re a beginner, there are different yoga styles and great guidance available every day.
If you’re looking to go deeper, consider trying the ice bath pranayama style classes to work on breathing techniques and breath retention. The ultimate experience for me was The Inner Walk. It opened my eyes to things I didn’t know and provided a new perspective on mindfulness. It’s truly a technique for everyday living in this world. Thank you, Wonderland for an unforgettable experience!

November 20, 2019 at 12:00 amInstructors all over the island occasionally have last minute schedule changes or cancel a class or session, but that can happen anywhere. The construction caused by the recent rain storms was a bit disruptive, but it’s something we just have to deal with. Wonderland is a wonderful retreat where you can drop-in for yoga, meditation, and other sessions any day. You’ll have the opportunity to explore different instructors, styles, and meet new people. I stayed in a private room with one other person and it was perfect – comfortable beds, bathroom, and AC. Every room has a hammock on the porch or balcony, which we definitely took advantage of. The food was absolutely delicious – I was looking for vegan options and they exceeded my expectations. There are extra treats like smoothies, coconuts, and additional treatments available for a very reasonable fee. The staff is also helpful in arranging motorbike rentals, taxis, and island tours. Despite arriving after a storm, the facilities were lovely – there were minor issues with the pool and bathrooms, but everything was fixed quickly. If you’re planning a 4-day retreat, book for 8 days, and if you’re booking for 8 days, extend your stay even longer. It’s definitely worth it.

October 8, 2019 at 12:00 amYin and restorative yoga classes were fantastic, but not for those seeking power or vinyasa classes. Only one class during my 5-day stay was actually challenging. Most classes were mellow, with only two including hip openers – which I really needed. None of the teachers incorporated a vinyasa sequence. While all teachers were knowledgeable, they tended to pace classes slowly and ramble. However, the facilities, staff, food, and schedule were all excellent. It was a treat to be on the beautiful premises with dedicated and knowledgeable teachers.

July 6, 2019 at 12:00 amNot much bad happening here! There are lots of insects in this jungle-like setting. One girl found two huge spiders in her bathroom! The island doesn’t offer much of a view, just right in the middle. In the common area, they stop the music at 10pm and you can’t even play cards. And can you believe they don’t have pool toys? 🙁
Some of the yoga classes move at a slow, plodding pace. The dorm lockers are too small for backpacks. But those banana pancakes are like crack! I would come back just for those. The dorms are modern and spotless, with two bathrooms. There are hammocks and lounge beds everywhere. The sauna and ice pool are amazing. The pool is always the perfect temperature and cleaned daily. There are plug sockets near each bed.
The common areas are cozy and inviting. The staff is kind and helpful. The instructors are super friendly. The food is fantastic, fresh, and diverse. The classes are solid and varied, with improv contact being particularly hilarious. The detoxing experience was eye-opening. You can easily and affordably rent a scooter from the reception. It’s so easy to lose track of time in this peaceful and quiet sanctuary.

April 16, 2019 at 12:00 amI wish the sea was closer (it takes 15mins by cab and 150/200baht) Would’ve been nice if there was a free shuttle to the beach on a fixed time. More diversity on meditation would be interesting as well. Daily program gets repetitive if you stay longer. But it’s not of a big deal if you are not too experienced. Great energy, wonderful place in green. You can feel that the details has been thought. Stayed in the dorm (11nights) very clean, bed sheets&towels changing everyday. Staffs are sweet and helpful. The food is amazing. All of the yoga teachers were nice, was good to experience different styles.

April 1, 2019 at 12:00 amWhen I first looked at the pictures, I wasn’t impressed. But after reading nearly 200 good reviews, I realized something really good was happening there. So, I booked and it turned out to be my best choice. This place offers more than just Yoga – there are meditations, lectures, workshops, dance, and so much more. Beyond the clean environment and great food, Wonderland has a special vibe that’s hard to explain but easy to feel. It’s everywhere there. Just go! I’ll definitely come back.

March 28, 2019 at 12:00 amSome instructors were more friendly and welcoming than others when I visited the yoga studio. I didn’t enjoy one instructor in particular. Wonderland really caters to all levels of yogis, even those who just want to chill by the pool. They had a diverse class schedule with different levels of yoga, guided and self meditation, and special sessions. Kelly and Warren really made their classes personal and fun. The food at Wonderland was amazing – fresh, varied, and just plain delicious!

March 27, 2019 at 12:00 amMy only complaint was the sleeping situation. Other hostels I’ve stayed at in Thailand had dorm beds with curtains for privacy and much more comfortable beds. It was ironic that so much focus was on alignment and self-care during the yoga and meditation sessions, yet we had to sleep on the most uncomfortable beds ever. If they changed the beds in the dorms, it would be a perfect experience! Despite that, I got more than I expected out of this retreat. I met incredible people, including the teachers and other participants, enjoyed amazing food, and practiced great yoga. The retreat was beginner-friendly, but also had advanced participants who seemed to enjoy themselves. There’s a pool and steam room, and you can attend all the classes or do your own thing. The energy there is fantastic, and I had a wonderful time.

March 16, 2019 at 12:00 amWhen I got there, I had to pay the rest of my bill. What caught me off guard was that they tack on an extra 4% if you pay with a card. Just a heads up. The Yoga classes were pretty packed and the instructor could be chatty at times. My bathroom didn’t smell too great, but I had read about it on trip advisor so I was prepared and just rolled with it.
I stayed in a room that was super spacious and had a great view of the pool. There was a kettle and fridge in the room with complimentary water. They offer free pick up and drop off to the ferry which was really convenient. The food was fantastic and you could help yourself to tea, coffee, and water anytime in the food area.
There were also plenty of free water stations around which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the variety of yoga classes and meditation options available. The meditation with Ali and Jo was particularly amazing. Huge thank you to Ali & Jo. The massages with “Apple” Thai massage with oil were top-notch. Thank you, Apple.
If you wanted to head out for the day, they could arrange a taxi for a fee to take you to the beach or Thong Sala. They also offer a 4-day walking meditation that Wonderland hosts. Wonderland is a special place for sure.
I met some awesome people and had a blast, definitely recommend checking it out. The staff does a great job of keeping everything clean and organized.

February 13, 2019 at 12:00 amI would have liked a deeper approach, like a more structured welcome in terms of goals, reflection, etc. We’re mostly left to ourselves (maybe that’s what some people want), although we can open up and discuss in certain activities. It’s a very personal approach and it depends on each individual… Also, I didn’t really enjoy Kho Pha-ngan island. The food is excellent. Great atmosphere and the scenery is fantastic. Good pace of activities. You meet people from everywhere. I liked the variety of yoga styles, depending on the teachers.

February 11, 2019 at 12:00 amThe communication for questions and problems was mainly over the internet, but having a personal conversation in person can be much better. The reception staff were very nice but didn’t have decision-making authority, so they often had to email the operators and wait for a response, even though they were on site. I found that very strange and closed-off.
I didn’t like the mixed dormitories. I wanted to move to a private room for an additional fee, but it was unreasonably expensive. The yoga and meditation classes were good. February 2, 2019 at 12:00 amI didn’t personally plan this program as I was promised. The yoga classes were for beginners and had a variety of styles. I ended up in one of the “not so good” rooms and was a little disappointed since it didn’t have a terrace, seating area, or view as promised. The room would have been fine for a shorter stay. If you’re expecting to advance in yoga or want a more traditional yoga school, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for a resort to eat healthy, dabble in spirituality, and relax, I would recommend this place. The food was excellent, rooms were clean, staff was mostly friendly, and the surroundings and pool area were nice. It would be a great experience for someone with little to no yoga experience. The meditation classes were good, and some of the yoga instructors seemed really experienced.

February 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI found some criticism about the yoga offered at Wonderland Yoga Retreat. The Level 1 yoga was a bit too intense for me, even though I tried to do it. I have some body issues to manage, so I struggled a bit. I wish there were more alternative poses for people like me. Also, it would have been nice if the instructors asked if anyone had any limitations or were pregnant.
I think it would be helpful if they explained how the retreat works when we check in. Since this was our first yoga retreat, we had nothing to compare it to. But my son and I thought the facilities, food, instructors, and accommodation were all top-notch. (My son was especially concerned about the food!)
We had a great time and didn’t want to leave. We’re definitely planning on coming back at the end of the year. I highly recommend Wonderland Yoga Retreat to anyone looking for a holistic experience with yoga, philosophy, meditation, and lifestyle choices. It’s a great place to start your transformation.

January 28, 2019 at 12:00 amThe hot water in the bathroom wasn’t working well. I started off in a dorm room but it was too much for me, so I had to move to a private room. There were a few reasons why I made the switch:
1. The number of girls in one room was too much for the small area.
2. The ventilation was a bit poor.
3. The AC wasn’t working well.
4. There wasn’t enough storage space for my belongings, so I had to put my stuff on the floor.
5. The beds were really high for the upper level guest and they were noisy, so every time I needed to go to the bathroom at night, I had to wake my neighbor below.
I also didn’t like the stray dogs on the island, especially the ones that came into the place. Despite that, I loved the friendliness of everyone and the family-like atmosphere. The property was wonderful, well-designed, and maintained, clean, and fresh. The owner made sure to take care of many details that concerned solo travelers.

January 26, 2019 at 12:00 amThe rooms were clean and spacious with two toilets for a 6-person dorm, which is perfect. However, in my opinion, concrete Western-style houses are not the best choice for a tropical climate because they cause energy consumption to rise above acceptable levels. We had to use the air conditioning every night. Overall, everything was good. I was hoping for a more minimalist place, and Wonderland had a more vacation-like atmosphere, but it was still very good. The yoga classes could be challenging, but they were accessible even for beginners.

January 2, 2019 at 12:00 amWhile I was there, the center experienced major flooding and many people lost their personal items. Some services, like the pool, were also affected and couldn’t be used the whole time.
It’s disappointing that no gestures of goodwill or discounts were offered to customers who had their retreat experience disrupted or suffered personal losses.
The dorm wasn’t as comfortable as I expected. There were no shelves or lights on the top bunks, which made it inconvenient and uncomfortable for longer stays. December 23, 2018 at 12:00 amYoga classes can get really busy and they might not be ideal for beginners or those who are less physically able. The teachers don’t always make modifications for injuries or limitations. In my experience as a yoga teacher, some classes seem geared towards more experienced students and could be risky for beginners. On the upside, the classes have a great community feel and the buffet-style meals offer a variety of tasty options. They even cater to food allergies! I recommend getting a private room (mine even had a private pool?!) and if you can swing it, go for the 7-day package. It comes with a free massage and reki session.

November 21, 2018 at 12:00 amI had the best food in all of Thailand at this resort! I’m not even vegan or vegetarian, but the food was amazing. The resort, surrounded by beautiful palm trees and nature, was super cute. The staff, who were super friendly and helpful, made every yoga and meditation lesson enjoyable. Even though I had never done yoga or meditation before, it was no problem. Staying at this retreat was the best decision I made during my month-long trip through Thailand. Everyone there is open-minded and friendly; you’ll make new friends from around the world in no time! The pool was fantastic and perfect for relaxing. I can’t think of anything negative to say. I have never felt this good and fit in my own body before. I loved every minute of my stay and wish I had stayed longer. I am DEFINITELY coming back!

November 18, 2018 at 12:00 amThere’s too much coming and going of people. It would be better to have set programs, like only allowing people to come on Saturdays, so that they can be with a consistent group in the retreat and grow closer together. I felt the positive, loving energy of the Healing Center right from the first minute. I felt completely comfortable and happy right from the start. My expectations were exceeded. Wonderland is not just a place to do yoga, but a place for personal growth, relaxation, and lots of food for thought to bring back and share in the western world.

November 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI had a truly special experience at Wonderland. After two hard months of work in China, I came here hoping to reset – and it was the perfect place to do so. The yoga classes were perfect for me, and I looked forward to every class with the variety of instructors. I learned so much in the other activities and seminars, and I absolutely loved the Ecstatic Dance! And don’t even get me started on the food – it was amazing.
I didn’t expect to meet people at Wonderland, but everyone there was incredibly welcoming, warm, non-judgemental, and grateful to be there. I left with friends from all over the world who I can’t wait to see again. The communal dining lounge really helped foster those connections and was a highlight of my stay.

November 5, 2018 at 12:00 amI loved everything! As a new yoga and meditation enthusiast, I had some nerves about joining in, but all that disappeared as soon as I stepped into wonderland. The staff welcomed me so warmly, and it really helped me unwind.
Transitioning from a meat-eater to a vegan was a big change for me, but it’s truly shifted my perspective. I’m even considering going vegan for a week every month now. The food here is just incredible – there’s no other way to put it. The range of flavors and dishes was simply amazing. And that Friday lunch? Oh, it was amazing – hummus, falafel, and couscous.
The classes were top-notch – they were laid-back but also challenged you. The atmosphere was so chill that if you needed a break to relax by the pool, that was totally fine too.

October 28, 2018 at 12:00 amI had a great time at Wonderland, but I do have some feedback to share.
1. I think they should clearly state that this is a “hands off” retreat. When I checked in, I was greeted but didn’t interact much with the staff until I checked out.
2. It was nice to have different yoga instructors, but it was hard to connect with them as none of them actually lived on site. There were so many instructors, I never had the same one twice. It was great that they each had their own specialty classes.
3. I chose Wonderland because of the indoor yoga space shown in pictures. However, the room was under renovation with loud construction and most classes were held outside. This should have been mentioned on the website.
4. They mentioned we were paying high season prices during low season. Prices should be public. Despite this, I loved the facility, beautiful setting in the jungle with mountains and a stream. Facilities were new and in great condition. The food was amazing, and the staff was nice and helpful. The steam room was great, and the wifi was excellent. I was relaxed and will definitely recommend it to others.

October 16, 2018 at 12:00 amThe yoga classes cater to both beginners and high level practitioners. The vegan food was so delicious and nutritious that I want to get all the recipes. Most of all, I enjoyed the variety of spiritual techniques and courses offered throughout the day, all included in the package! Opt for a longer stay and you’ll have a great time. I adored all the teachers, from Pilates with Jess to Yoga with Mika, meditation & Reiki with Aly, and Reiki with Ella. And let’s not forget all the amazing classes with Cheryl ❤️❤️❤️ Shoutout to the fun and friendly kitchen team, the hardworking guys building the new part of the resort, the lovely ladies at the reception, and the helpful taxi drivers! Thank you to all the founders for bringing this vision to life! Wonderland has truly stolen my heart.

October 16, 2018 at 12:00 amThe location. It was pretty close to the highway, so you could definitely feel the exhaust fumes. The nearest beach was also pretty far away; it was quite an adventure to walk there. The so-called secret beach turned out to be pretty flat and littered.
Point number 2. The loud music or constant noise in the restaurant. Maybe hip young people today need that. However, it didn’t really create a retreat-like atmosphere. Each of the 6 teachers had their own unique style and helped me progress with their tips. I was most impressed by Alon. His physically focused, scientific style gave yoga the grounding depth it deserved. Plus, the food was extremely varied and healthy.

October 10, 2018 at 12:00 amI was disappointed by the massage area. The mattress looked old and had only a thin sheet covering it. I had to share the space with someone else, and the two masseurs were chatting in Thai, which I found rude. I think they should have better privacy in that area, considering how personal massages can be. The peaceful atmosphere allowed me to think quietly, but it also gave me the option to socialize without feeling torn.

September 10, 2018 at 12:00 amI recommend the Wonderland stay to everyone, whether you’re looking for an intense 7-hour yoga and meditation program or just want to relax by the pool. It’s suitable for all yoga levels from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. The food is amazing with plenty to choose from at the buffet. The staff, especially the ladies at the reception, are super pleasant and helpful. Wonderland exudes love and positive energy, set in a local jungle with green trees, a little river, and 100 places to meditate or relax in hammocks and shalas. The pool is nice too. I strongly suggest visiting! Despite its location a bit out of town, taxis are cheap and easy to get to all the shops, night markets, and secret beach. The people I met during my 30-day stay were incredibly nice and educated. The villas for two are beautiful, but the shared dorm accommodations are clean, comfortable, and always stocked with cold water. You can refill your bottle with fresh cold water at every corner, which is pretty awesome. Everything you need for yoga and meditation is provided, including mats, blocks, belts, and cushions. I can 100% recommend Wonderland and plan to go back soon.

September 4, 2018 at 12:00 amI didn’t have the experience I expected at Wonderland. The reception staff and instructors didn’t meet my expectations. They seemed to act superior to the guests and the instructors formed a clique, making me feel unwelcome. The reception staff were indifferent and unhelpful. Because of their attitudes and the overall vibe, I felt like I was at a lively 18-30s resort rather than a peaceful retreat. August 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI stayed in a dorm with more beds than expected, but it wasn’t a big deal. My stay at Wonderland took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I felt tired, overwhelmed, and unsure at times, but also calm, reflective, happy, and peaceful. It’s all about getting to know yourself better and figuring out what you want and need in life. The staff, from the instructors to reception, were absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital during my stay, but even there, the Wonderland staff took excellent care of me, visiting me twice a day. August 5, 2018 at 12:00 amThe only downside was that breakfast started at 8, which clashed with the yoga classes starting at the same time. The first class ended at 9:30, followed by the second one at 10. If the teacher finished on time (which was rare), you could quickly grab some bites at the delicious breakfast buffet.
Helpful ReviewIf you’re more focused on yoga classes rather than meditation or relaxation, this may not be the best place for you. For the workout enthusiasts, it’s better to look elsewhere. The vegan food was amazing and catered to those less accustomed to spicy Thai cuisine.
The dorm was spacious but watch out when booking a 4-bed luxury dorm. We booked one and ended up in a 6-bed dorm most of the time with no more than 4 people in it. The pool and relaxation areas with hammocks were stunning. I also had an excellent oil massage.
The evening lectures and discussions were enjoyable, and we met friendly people from all over the world. The staff was also very kind.

August 2, 2018 at 12:00 amThe breakfast and fruits could use more variety, it was the same every day. During my tour of the premises, they told me I had a massage included – but in the end, I had to pay 600 Baht for it. I also didn’t need the transfer to the pier, so I asked if they could take me to the beach instead for a one-time fee. Unfortunately, they couldn’t do it. Not very flexible and it didn’t end well. July 29, 2018 at 12:00 amI absolutely loved everything about this place! The only thing to note is that breakfast starts at 8am, which coincides with the first yoga class at that time. So if you attend the 8am yoga class, you’ll have to wait until after 9:30am to have breakfast. But don’t worry, there are always bananas available for a quick pre-yoga snack, and you can also get a takeaway box for food at meal times with fresh fruit for a snack.
Honestly, I’m really stretching to find something I didn’t like!
– The food was amazing – plentiful, delicious, and varied.
– The staff were incredibly kind and caring.
– I met wonderful people and made lifelong friends with the other guests.
– There were plenty of classes, from yoga to meditation to special sessions like lectures and inner healing therapies. It’s more than just a yoga retreat!
– The atmosphere was so relaxed, with no rigid itinerary.
– The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, and large bathrooms.
– The resort itself was fantastic, with an amazing pool, steam room, and plenty of chill out areas with hammocks to relax by the sound of the river nearby.
– And don’t forget the daily free smoothie or coconut, unlimited tea and coffee made just the way you like it (I loved the cacao and coconut milk coffee!).
The fact that most people extended their stay or considered it is a testament to how incredible this place is! I’ll definitely be back one day.

April 14, 2018 at 12:00 amI felt scared in my room at night because of the animal noises, even though there aren’t any dangerous animals. It was pretty spooky. Next time, I’ll probably go for the dorm instead. The private room wasn’t worth the price – the shower didn’t work properly, and the water was sometimes cold or even dirty. The other events besides yoga and meditation were pretty weak in my opinion. I’m not a vegan, so even though the food was good, it wasn’t satisfying for me. They could have offered more power yoga classes.
On the plus side, I liked that I could try many different types of yoga and meditation. The schedule was packed, the food was amazing, the people were friendly, and the whole setting with hammocks, pool, and nature was lovely. I actually liked that it was in the middle of nowhere because it made it easier to focus on the retreat without distractions. Sure, you could take a taxi if you wanted, but it wasn’t that convenient, and there were events happening all the time anyway.

April 5, 2018 at 12:00 amThe food here was so good, I’m pretty sure I gained a lot of weight. I met some amazing people here. The yoga teachers were all amazing, they really knew how to support us and were very intuitive.

April 3, 2018 at 12:00 amI couldn’t book a private villa in advance, but the atmosphere was relaxed and flexible. I met a lot of like-minded people, mostly single travelers which was nice. There were fewer couples and no children, which was a plus. I was really impressed with the standard of yoga, especially considering how remote the location was. All the instructors, including visiting ones like Catherine, Nancy, and Jess on Pilates, were experienced teachers, not just travelers passing through. The food was high quality and vegan, and the rooms were clean, although they lacked some little things like bedside lamps and extra clothes hanging space. Overall, it was a great experience. The only downside was not being able to choose my room, as upgrades are random and based on availability upon arrival. But hey, I had a good weekend getaway from corporate life, so I can’t complain. You can’t have everything you want in life, right? Oh, and a bonus – despite being in the jungle, there were surprisingly few mosquitoes! Jacq.

March 23, 2018 at 12:00 amThe food at this place is absolutely amazing, and that’s coming from someone who’s not even vegan! The rooms are kept spotless and the yoga classes are well-organized, making them perfect for beginners too. The staff here are truly exceptional – always friendly and willing to help out. It’s not just a typical resort or retreat; it’s a vibrant community where people from all corners of the globe come together to make you feel right at home. I already miss this place so much!

March 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThe massage therapists were always chatting amongst themselves, not paying much attention to our needs, and as a result, we ended up with a neck ache. The classes, from yoga to meditation to reiki, are all expertly guided. Don’t miss out on the evening activities like inner dance and fire ceremony, where you’ll get to know the commune that Wonderland is a part of. March 7, 2018 at 12:00 amThis was the first time I went to a yoga retreat and it was truly amazing! The people, the atmosphere, the facility, the food… everything was perfect and I felt physically better than ever before during that week. They offer multiple classes every day that you can join. The instructors are all well-trained and I enjoyed attending every class. The facility is still new, only about a year and a half old, so everything is still in great condition (rooms, restaurant, pool, etc.). But the best part was definitely the food!!! Three times a day there’s a delicious vegan buffet that’s out of this world. I would come back anytime and highly recommend WHC to everyone.

March 6, 2018 at 12:00 amI stayed in the dorm and found the bed to be pretty hard and uncomfortable, but that’s common in Thailand. There was also no storage or room to organize our clothes or bags, so all four of us in the room had our things splayed out on the floor. Hopefully they’ll have something to change this soon.
Oh my goodness, the food was amazing! I’m not even vegan, but I wanted to try everything at the buffet for every meal. The steam sauna was the best way to start and end my day, and the pool was clean and the perfect temperature.
The teachers all brought something special and different each day, and there was plenty of variety in classes and special events every day. I had such a lovely time.

February 28, 2018 at 12:00 amI stayed in a shared dorm and think it would have been helpful to have a small shelf or box by each bed for valuables. I was on the top bunk and always keep water with me at night. There weren’t enough hooks in the room or bathroom. However, they cleaned the room daily and it was comfortable overall.
I really enjoyed the positive and nurturing atmosphere at Wonderland. It was a great space for healing and growth. And let’s talk about the food! As a vegan, I was in heaven. The daily food choices were delicious and nourishing for both body and soul. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. I had a wonderful stay!
When I reunited with my husband after the retreat, he said I was positively glowing. Thank you to everyone at Wonderland.

February 27, 2018 at 12:00 amI have no complaints, but one suggestion would be to add shelves for the top bunks in the dorms. Each top bunk could use a shelf for books, phones, and water to avoid things falling during the night.
I’m excited to come back again, thank you all so much! Wonderland is the perfect name for this place. I immediately felt at home and welcomed when I arrived. The yoga shalas have everything you need, the restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated. The food is absolutely amazing – I wish I knew the recipes! The pool is always clean and the perfect temperature. The steam room is fantastic, with different herbal oils each day for a unique experience. The massages and treatments are a great addition to the yoga classes and always left me feeling refreshed and ready for more.
The yoga classes had a good variety of styles and levels. It would have been nice to have more advanced classes for mastering challenging poses, but the ones I attended really helped me improve. The vinyasa and yin classes were always enjoyable. The instructors were all helpful and each had their own teaching style. A special shoutout to Ewa and Connie, who really enhanced my understanding and practice of yoga.
I stayed in a dorm and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The beds were comfortable, the room was always clean, and the showers worked well. I met wonderful people who were all seeking a relaxing experience, making it the perfect stay!

January 18, 2018 at 12:00 amWonderland is a magical place that takes you on an emotional, physical, and spiritual rollercoaster. My partner and I got hooked on yoga during the retreat, even though we had never tried it before. The staff and teachers were amazing, and in just a week, we saw improvements in our posture, strength, and flexibility. The classes were top-notch, especially the Hatha and Alignment ones. We still practice yoga since leaving the retreat.
And the food? Wow! We aren’t vegans or vegetarians, but the food was incredible. The variety of cuisines changed daily, along with fresh salads, fruits, and shakes. So healthy and delicious! It inspired us to cut down on meat and dairy.
We also tried Reiki for the first time, which was a personal and incredible experience. Melody was wonderful! The Thai and Oil massages were heavenly.
The accommodation and facilities were fantastic too. After staying in hostels for months, the 4-bed dorm felt like luxury. The beds were comfy, the room cleaned daily, and it was the perfect size for four people. The pool and other facilities were great and never overcrowded.
I know this review is long, but Wonderland truly deserves it. It was a life-changing experience for us, and we can’t wait to go back.

My retreat at wonderland exceeded all my expectations. I was supposed to stay for three nights but ended up staying for another two because I loved it so much. The best thing about it is the friendly, warm, and easy-going atmosphere. You can come and go as you please, and it’s easy to make new friends since many people come here alone. The staff is really helpful and they hang out in the same area as the guests, so it feels like a small family.
The food was the highlight of my stay – everything is vegan, fresh, and there’s a wide variety to choose from. The yoga classes are beginner-friendly, so you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy them.
You really get a lot for the money you pay – food, fresh juices, massages, a pool, sauna, yoga, meditation, and more. Treat yourself and go for it!

November 2, 2017 at 12:00 amI really liked the vibe and facilities of the place, even though it was far away from the beach. Just so you know, I was aware of that. The variety of yoga classes they offer daily is very impressive. The daily meditation sessions and healing procedures are fab. I was lucky enough to catch kundalini yoga, TRE, and embryonic yoga, on top of the more traditional yoga schools. The food is fantastic, and I’m not even vegetarian. I was able to quit smoking and get myself together in this place.

October 8, 2017 at 12:00 amThere’s not much to dislike! I personally didn’t like that they allowed children on the premises because they disturbed the peace. The facilities are great. The instructors are very patient and knowledgeable. I loved that we got a free coconut everyday and a free massage included. We had a wonderful time! I will definitely recommend this place.

September 23, 2017 at 12:00 amI wish the beds were softer. It would be nice to have night yoga or meditation before bed. The Wi-Fi is spotty. I loved the private bungalow with the private pool. The food was great. The yoga and meditation were also great. The community was very lovely and kind – everyone went out of their way to make sure we were doing well. It’s a great place to get away.

September 19, 2017 at 12:00 amAfter our stay in Wonderland, we couldn’t find food as delicious anywhere else 🙁 😉 The schedule included various yoga forms and meditation. The food was super tasty, the room was very comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed with easy-going interactions between people. It’s perfect for beginners, as we tried 5 different types of yoga, meditation and even Pilates. The owners were always available to offer tips and assist with questions and travel plans. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thanks! It couldn’t have been any better.

September 15, 2017 at 12:00 amWonderland healing center is one of the most refreshing places I’ve ever visited. I experienced a 12-day detox retreat there in September and was truly impressed. What stood out to me the most were the dedicated healers & yoga teachers. The detox program was carefully planned out, making me feel comfortable from the start. The variety of yoga classes offered, from Ashtanga to Yin Yoga, was perfectly balanced. The healers at the center are true experts in their field, without any of the typical hyper-spiritual or fanatic ideas. Plus, the environment itself is simply stunning. I stayed in a private Pool Villa with an infinity pool just steps away from the bedroom. I’m already looking forward to returning to Wonderland soon!

September 3, 2017 at 12:00 amEveryone loves it, there’s nothing to complain about. The trip is totally worth it. The vegan food at Bridget’s place is surprisingly perfect! All the staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s such a calm and relaxing place. They offer great yoga sessions with professional teachers. I felt so refreshed during the 6-day retreat.

August 7, 2017 at 12:00 amI spent 14 wonderful days at Wonderland on a Yoga Retreat package. The resort, only 6 months old, is even more beautiful in person than in the promotion video and pictures. I stayed in a private room with a pool view and a hammock on my balcony. The staff, especially Ham and Aly, were fantastic and the Vegan food was delicious and diverse. I’m not a Vegan or Vegetarian, but I didn’t feel the need to eat out once.
Helpful ReviewThere were plenty of Yoga and meditation classes available with amazing teachers. I came to improve my own practice and learned so much from them. The tiny Thai lady who massaged me every other day really worked my muscles and stretched me in ways I never thought possible, but she was amazing! Thank you, Wonderland, for the beautiful Yoga Retreat. I hope to return with my family someday. Namasté,

August 3, 2017 at 12:00 amThe resort is a bit far from the pier and beaches, and the steam room is a bit secluded with inadequate lighting, making it scary at night. Despite these drawbacks, the place is truly a wonderland – serene, beautiful, and full of amazing people. I met like-minded individuals from all over the world and made some great friends while exploring the island with them. Victoria and Nancy’s yoga classes are a must-try, and the clean, nice rooms, beautiful pool, and cozy restaurant add to the charm of the place. The instructors and staff are kind, supportive, and attentive to all your needs. The vegan food served here is the best I’ve ever had, and the high-standard massages were thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend getting a reiki treatment with Eyal – he is a calm, spiritual person like no other. Wonderland changed me for the better – I fell in love with my body and skin after the detox and learned to find peace within myself. I was sad to leave, as this place brought me a strange peace and happiness that I will cherish forever. I am definitely planning to go back.

July 31, 2017 at 12:00 amThe only possible downside wasn’t related to the retreat at all – it was just a bit of a hike to the beach and shops. But making friends was easy, especially when those friends had scooters to take you around. Taxis were also convenient, and the guys at the retreat were happy to give you a ride if they had time.
Helpful ReviewOverall, everything was amazing. The retreat exceeded my expectations with plenty of yoga classes to choose from, a clean and lovely room, and surprisingly delicious vegan food. I was worried about not eating meat, but I ended up loving every meal! But what I enjoyed most were the people – lots of solo travelers passing through, so there was always someone around to chat and hang out with. And I absolutely adored my new Israeli family at the retreat. You guys are awesome! Can’t wait to visit again.

July 26, 2017 at 12:00 amWonderland amazed me when I visited. I originally planned for a 3-night stay but ended up extending my trip. The vegan food here is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The resort is nestled away from the island’s hustle and bustle, creating a serene atmosphere. Nearby, you can explore gorgeous beaches and hike breathtaking waterfall trails. Every day, there are various yoga and meditation programs, along with top-notch treatments. The welcoming staff are always ready to assist you. The rooms are cozy and spotless, and the pool is a great alternative to the beach. Wonderland is the ultimate spot to unwind and recharge – I’ll definitely be returning in the future.

July 26, 2017 at 12:00 amI wish the location was closer to the beach for day trips, but the resort provided rides into town if we asked, which was really helpful. The accommodations were top-notch! The room was so clean and comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, they cleaned the room every day, and we always got fresh towels. It was fantastic!

July 19, 2017 at 12:00 amI had to leave, but Ali’s meditation was amazing! All the yoga instructors- Sky, Veronica, Victoria, and Leon- brought their own unique and powerful aspects to their classes. The variety of yoga was exceptional. The staff was friendly and helpful. You should book this now, you won’t regret it!

June 20, 2017 at 12:00 amI prefer positives only. It’s a bit of a distance from Thong Sala town, but that’s just what I was looking for- some peace and quiet. If you want to explore, you can easily rent a motorbike and the helpful staff is there for anything you need. The classes, the food, the staff, the pool, the atmosphere, the massages… everything was incredible and I highly recommend it!

May 31, 2017 at 12:00 amI wish I had rented a bike and explored more of the island, especially the beaches, and joined in on the many events happening there. But, Hiem kindly ran some errands for me and members of the community offered me rides to some events. My time at Wonderland was so special. The staff and community were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel like I wasn’t alone even though I was by myself. During my stay in the low season, I had my own dorm room for most of the time which made the retreat incredibly affordable. The yoga classes were tough but helped me get stronger and improve my skills. The included treatments were luxurious and added to the overall experience. I loved relaxing by the pool and in the air-conditioned room in between classes. And don’t even get me started on the food and free juice – absolutely delicious! Wonderland was the perfect break during my 5 months of backpacking.
