March 24, 2020 at 12:00 amMika and Rayk welcomed me from the start with their friendly and caring attitude. I was searching for a quiet place to recharge, and this location is perfect for that. It’s right in front of the sea and surrounded by nature. There isn’t much around, but there is a familymart within walking distance. If you’re like me and can’t ride a scooter, you might feel a bit stuck, but maybe that’s exactly what you need. The bungalows are simple, but having warm water was a great luxury for me. I really enjoyed the yoga classes twice a day, as well as the Reiki and massages. The food is always fresh, healthy, and tasty! I definitely recommend staying at future hippy and I might just revisit in the future. ❤️

March 7, 2020 at 12:00 amThe secluded location worked well for me since I was there for soul-searching and reading. I didn’t plan on leaving much anyway. If you do decide to explore, watch out for the stray dogs – they can be a bit territorial and their barking can be scary.
Staying at Future Hippie for 14 nights was wonderful. Mika and Rayk are amazing hosts who treat you like family. The food is fresh, delicious, and made with love – you can feel it nourishing your soul.
The yoga classes overlook the beach and ocean, with a stunning sunset view during evening sessions. The beach is small, secluded, and private, but there’s quite a bit of seaweed in the water, making swimming difficult.
The evening meditation sessions were a unique experience, including learning about chakras and meditating by candlelight. We also had fun making dream catchers in an art class.
The bungalows are modest but comfortable, with electricity for charging your devices. Just remember to bring bug spray – despite the mosquito net, I still got a lot of bites.

February 21, 2020 at 12:00 amI couldn’t have been happier staying three more months…and the mosquitoes, but I’m afraid that’s just nature. The personal treatment is incredible, Mika and Rayk are the heart of that wonderful place where the resort is located (which is like paradise!). The Yoga, Reiki, Coaching classes, etc., always with that carefully personalized and friendly treatment, delicious vegan food made with love, they even ask you when they go shopping if you want something special! The place is super peaceful, with a private beach and incredible sunsets, you can feel the peace and good vibes. If you want to rest, reflect on your life, make a change, or a profound personal transformation, this is the place!! (If you want to party, better go to Ibiza.) For me, it was like a dream and if I have the chance, I will return. Thank you Mika and Rayk, for your patience, understanding, and love, thanks to the squirrels, geckos, birds, the continuous sound of the waves, the red sunsets, the rain, the sun, the generous breakfasts after morning yoga and the succulent dinners after evening yoga. Thank you for making everything so easy and familiar, even with the language barrier (I speak almost no English and they don’t speak Spanish), we understood each other great! And that’s because there is a very, very good vibe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

February 3, 2020 at 12:00 amThe mattress feels really hard and not comfortable. You need to be young and flexible to get in and out of the bedroom. The water tends to stick around in the bathroom, leaving you standing in your own shower water that attracts mosquitoes. It’s great to be surrounded by nature and so close to the sea!

February 2, 2020 at 12:00 amI can’t complain at all! The teachers were amazing and really made me feel like part of the family. The bungalows were cozy, the garden was beautiful, and there were hammocks and chill lounges everywhere to relax in. The resort is right by a quiet beach, and the yoga classes were so varied. I had an incredible time with wonderful people and delicious vegan food!

December 8, 2019 at 12:00 amThe accommodation was simple but definitely sufficient for my couple of days’ stay. Some facilities were missing as they had just opened for the season, but the owners, Mika and Rayk, are eager for honest feedback to improve, which is fantastic. I’m confident they will address all the small issues we mentioned and make everything even better.
Mika and Rayk are the kindest hosts. They genuinely care about their guests’ experiences and made me feel right at home. I especially enjoyed the yoga classes and the peaceful beachfront location. The atmosphere was perfect for a grounding yoga retreat.
I also met some wonderful people during my stay, sharing beautiful connections with like-minded souls. I truly hope to return someday. Thank you, Mika and Rayk, for a memorable experience. It was a pleasure meeting you both!

October 5, 2019 at 12:00 amA lovely couple welcomed me with open arms and shared their wisdom as fantastic teachers. I had an amazing time learning about Yoga, myself, and life in general. I will never forget this experience and will cherish the memories and lessons for the rest of my life.

August 18, 2019 at 12:00 amI had a great time at futurehippie, just as I had hoped. Life there is really simple with bamboo huts, shared bathrooms, and living in nature, which I enjoyed a lot. The whole area has good WIFI and electricity. The location is fantastic, right in front of the beach and very quiet. I stayed in the bungalow “water” with a direct view of the ocean. The yoga lessons were varied with different teachers and styles, which I liked because it gave me the chance to explore different aspects of yoga. Mika and Rayk, the hosts, are incredibly nice and go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. They are always available to help with anything from organizing a taxi to arranging weekend trips (like the boat trip with snorkeling we went on). I even had a life coaching session with Rayk that really helped me see things differently. Thank you, Mika and Rayk, for creating such a wonderful place to unwind and recharge. I had a fantastic time!

June 28, 2019 at 12:00 amI stayed in a bamboo hut called Water with a fantastic sea view and soothing sounds. The hosts cooked all the meals at home, and it was the highlight of my day. Each meal was unique and nutritious, making it the healthiest week of eating I’ve ever had! The yoga sessions had a breathtaking view of the sea and beach, with sounds of nature all around. I also learned about yoga philosophy during my stay, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend Future Hippie if you’re looking to immerse yourself in nature with warm hosts and amazing food.

April 24, 2019 at 12:00 amThis retreat isn’t luxurious, but it’s very eco-friendly. If you’re not looking for luxury, but are happy to embrace a more natural and clean lifestyle, this place is perfect for you. Future Hippy is a welcoming place where Meike and Rayk go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay.
They offer yoga lessons twice a day, and meditation classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The teachers are kind, open, and helpful. They helped me, as a beginner, with my poses and also provided more advanced options for experienced yogis. The small group size creates a safe environment where everyone can learn at their own pace.
I stayed in a water bungalow and loved waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The stunning scenery was the first thing I saw when I stepped out in the morning.
The included breakfast and dinner are delicious and healthy. And don’t forget to try the smoothie bowls for lunch – they’re my favorite!
During the day, you can practice yoga and meditation on your own, enjoy additional facilities like massages and private lessons, or simply relax. I enjoyed swimming in the calm ocean right in front of the retreat when the weather was hot.
My stay at Future Hippy was truly amazing. I learned a lot, relaxed, and feel confident about integrating yoga and a healthy lifestyle into my family life. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

April 21, 2019 at 12:00 amThe hut was open to the elements, so it was really hot and lots of mosquitos. A small fan helped a little, but I was sweating so much. The bamboo bed had a thin mattress. The step outside was very high and unstable, and the whole place felt a bit rickety since everything was made of bamboo. There was no small fridge.
The shared shower was usually not clean, with a sandy floor as a toilet for everyone. The local cleaning staff were off most of the week due to a family emergency, and the hosts didn’t make any alternative arrangements. Things did get better when they returned though, with the yoga platform and grounds in better shape.
There wasn’t enough yoga or meditation to really call it a retreat in my opinion. It felt more like a beach holiday with a bit of yoga thrown in. I only had one class on Friday when I arrived, another on Saturday morning, and then none until Monday morning. The Saturday community yoga session at 11 am was all about talking about life as a group. From Monday to Friday, there were two one-hour yoga classes each day, with extra meditation sessions on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm. I think there should be at least two yoga classes offered each day, along with daily meditation and optional workshops on different yoga topics for those interested.
Some of the meals were very basic for dinner, like bread with avocado on top or salad/rice. I appreciated that they made gluten-free options for me. The hosts eat with you, which is nice, but it means you’re limited to their tastes.
Overall, I think it was a bit overpriced for Thailand considering the standard of accommodation and shared facilities. The location on the beach was beautiful, though, in the best part of the island with amazing sunsets. It’s a quiet, back-to-basics kind of place. Towels and mosquito nets were included and definitely needed. The yoga instructors, Meike and Chris, were great. They offered vegan food, but the selection was limited and hand-cooked daily. Meike was very friendly and helpful with booking transfers. I really enjoyed the meditation session I had, but I wish there were more offered throughout the week.
It’s a good spot for young and adventurous travelers, as long as they can afford it.

February 15, 2019 at 12:00 amThe mosquitoes are the only downside! But the location is perfect for finding a great balance between relaxation and activity. Mika and Rayk are incredibly welcoming and will customize your experience to suit your needs. You can enjoy hatha yoga with Mika, creative flows with Chris, and yogilates with Miriam. It’s a wonderful way to reset and rest. Waking up to the ocean every day and practicing yoga by the beach is unforgettable. The location is peaceful and not crowded, ideal for a serene vacation. The vegan food is delicious, and there are opportunities for activities like Muay Thai training classes. The sense of community here is strong, with a laid-back atmosphere. Don’t forget to bring your favorite book and a deck of cards. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

February 12, 2019 at 12:00 amThe bed felt a bit short, the corners of the room were a bit dusty, and the neighbors could be a bit noisy. But our hosts were welcoming and gracious, with great energy. We enjoyed exquisite sunsets, a beautiful secluded beach just a short kayak ride away, and healthy, delicious food. The spaces to do yoga, meditate, or relax in a hammock were beautiful.
The yoga sessions were lovely, and the teachers were very keen to help us improve our personal practice. Overall, we had a great time!
